Quarterbacks are getting paid this offseason. Jalen Hurts and Lamar Jackson have each respectively helped reset the quarterback market this offseason with their new deals. Jackson is currently the league's highest paid player with his new deal that pays him $52 million per year on his five-year extension. That leaves big name stars like Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert waiting to get paid this offseason. Both players saw their respective fifth-year options get extended but are working toward long term deals. Will Burrow land a five-year deal like Hurts and Jackson? Or will he go for a longer deal just like Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes? The Strictly Stripes crew analyzes the numbers behind Jackson's deal and looks at where Burrow's extension might fit in relation to that. They also look at how players like Mahomes can shape Burrow's deal. This podcast features Mohammad Ahmad, Andrew Gillis and Michael Niziolek.
