A super color, super whatever the internal thing is.

Chris (00:06):
This is the super color, fragileistic, awesome Disney
podcast, where, each week wediscuss, you guessed it, Disney
things you

Kelli (00:13):
know, things you don't know, and things you didn't know
you needed to know.

Chris (00:16):
Well, as Walt would say, the way to get it started is to
quit talking and begin doing.
Oh, wait, wait,

Kelli (00:21):
wait, I can do this.
Please stand clear of the doors.
Por favor. Man tenga say.
Alejaro de las puertas, welcomeaboard Disney. Fam,

Chris (00:33):
hello out there. Disney.
Fam. My name is Chris and I'mKelli. Welcome to this week's
episode of the super Kelli, fragileistic, awesome Disney
Podcast.

Kelli (00:41):
I'm wearing my orange bird ears today, just to welcome
in spring. I hear you because, man, did we have a weird week,
like it was like 83 on Mondayand Tuesday, and then we had a
blizzard on blizzard

Chris (00:56):
that dropped a foot of ice and snow. So

Kelli (00:59):
weird, the weather in Nebraska back up to 70

Chris (01:02):
by Friday. It is cookie dicks crazy. So I

Kelli (01:05):
wanted to welcome in the spring with my orange bird ears.
They are not on topic or topicadjacent, not even, not even
remotely related to the topic, but they're always welcome,
always welcome. Welcome spring.
Hopefully

Chris (01:20):
it sticks. Yes, we had lots of downloads this week.
We're just having an amazingdownload time period here. We're
so grateful. Middletown, Ohiowants a major center for steel
production, home to the armCoast steel mill in the
Cincinnati metro area, also hometo major federal politician that

(01:44):
we won't get into? Okay? I'msure that they're not proud of
that. No, liberal Kansas,

Kelli (01:50):
the city's name is liberal, liberal. Oh my gosh,
that's fantastic.

Chris (01:54):
Once the broom corn capital of the world, you know
broom corn,

Kelli (01:58):
the broom corn capital of the world, also known as
sorghum. Know

Chris (02:03):
what that is, either. But know what that is. In 1910 hard
winter wheat overtook it as thecrop of choice in Liberal
Kansas.

Kelli (02:12):
So they no longer grow Broom Corn, right? They grow
wheat, the hard winter

Chris (02:16):
wheat. I don't know if they still do that either. That
was in 1910 that the broom cornfell out of fashion. Now I want
to know what Broom Corn is,sorghum, whatever that is.
Corum, New York. Corum, Corum, CO, R, A, M, okay, the hamlet in
Brookhaven on Long Island in NewYork. Long Island, Long Island,

(02:38):
nice. Most concede that it wasnamed for a Native American
Chief under whose jurisdictionthat area once rested. He was
sometimes called when,

Kelli (02:49):
okay, that's interesting.
And

Chris (02:52):
Bogota, Colombia. Oh,

Kelli (02:54):
Columbia, welcome Bogota.
I

Chris (02:57):
know it's good one.
That's awesome. My best friend'smom was born in Bogota. Really,
I think my best friend wasactually born in Bogota. That's
awesome, yeah? Uh, vibrant, sprawling, high altitude capital
in Colombia. Just very cool, beautiful. Looking through the
pictures went down quite therabbit hole. It was just, it was
beautiful. That's fantastic, yeah, so welcome to the good

(03:18):
folks of Bogota, Colombia. Yeah, and it

Kelli (03:21):
gives the news, okay, tight, 35

Chris (03:29):
huge fire broke out at the Franks Pavilion at Epcot
yesterday. Oh, yeah, what

Kelli (03:35):
did they save? The bread

Chris (03:40):
is like, how it's okay.
Just tell me if my house isokay. It is, tell me they say
bread. Just saw these huge, really dark smoke plumes coming
out from behind, like, where theremys that new area, okay, but
it was, it was by 730 lastnight. It was extinguished, and
they were already reopeningguest areas there. It was a
cooler backstage that had caughtfire. Wow, but there were no

(04:04):
injuries. So all that

Kelli (04:08):
ironic cooler Fire, fire we it's, it's weird how

Chris (04:11):
coolers can do that. So the Disney oversight district
will meet this coming Friday tolikely vote to support $500,000
of investment that will gotowards the sunshine corridor
train project that will connectthe MCO airport to Disney

(04:32):
Springs, fantastic. So theFlorida Department of
Transportation requires aproject development and
environmental study before theproject can get funding from the
state to move forward. So theCentral Florida commuter rail is
seeking $6 million for thatstudy. The oversight committee
will meet on Friday to approve$500,000 towards that universal

(04:55):
had already pledged 2 milliontowards that Seminole County and
City of Orlando. Pledge 500keach. So far, they've raised
five and a half million. Okay?
That would run from the airportMCO towards the Orange County
Convention Center, Sea World andepic universe, universal new
thing, yeah. And then it wouldturn south towards Disney

(05:19):
Springs. Okay,

Kelli (05:23):
that you could get off for universal I think

Chris (05:26):
that would be good. Yeah, yeah. And so the environmental
study could take as many as muchas two years itself, and then
you're looking if, if it getsgreenlit, you're looking at
another four to five years afterthat of train construction. A
lot of swamp land out there.
There is a lot you don't want todisturb any Kelli splitters and
stuff like that, right?

Kelli (05:45):
Yeah, you don't want to disturb any kind of people, you
know, animals that areendangered and living out there.
So,

Chris (05:53):
so there was a shareholder meeting, I guess,
this past week that Bob Igerspoke at, and someone asked
about the high ticket prices.
Oh, right for for theme parks, okay? And he, he didn't really,
you know he's, he's not gonnasay, Well, yeah, I agree that
ticket prices are too high andwe're gonna bring them down. No,
no, what? What he, well, he didlean heavily into was that they

(06:17):
believe that the value of aDisney theme park ticket is much
higher than other things youmight spend those same dollars
on, like, say, a concert ticketor a ball game, right, right?
You're, you're gonna spend, yeah, concert tickets, or even
more concert tickets today arecrazy, yeah, through the roof.

(06:40):
And, you know, to go to a go toan NFL game, or even a college
football game or, right? Yeah, you're going to spend a lot of
money. So, yeah, maybe there's apoint there. We all, we all like
what we like, right? He alsomentioned that there are more
major projects underway rightnow at Disney than there have

(07:04):
ever been. I believe that inpark history. And so I started
thinking, well, is that? Is thatright? Well, it might be. I
believe it. Yeah, with whatthey're doing, it the Magic
Kingdom to try to expand there.
What they're doing at AnimalKingdom to try to expand there.
They're getting rid of that Dinoland area. What they're doing at

(07:27):
Hollywood studios to replacethat Muppets area with a new
monsters inc area, yeah, andthere's a lot of other things,
so big stuff at almost everyday, stuff like these are, these
are big undertakings at theseparks. So, yeah, I mean,
there's, there's a lot going on.
And he says, you know, the thewhole point of those big
undertakings is to increasecapacity, right, thin out lines,

(07:50):
that where lines gather today, and to increase, continue to
increase the value of those parktickets, right? What you hope
doesn't happen is we've addedall this new stuff, so now we
get to raise park tickets again.

Kelli (08:05):
Yeah, right, but that's also, you know, supply and
demand. So park tickets arepriced at a place where
everybody can't afford themintentionally, right? Because
the park can't hold everybody.
Can't

Chris (08:18):
hold everybody. That was his last point and like and like
you were just pointing out. Aswe've pointed out before, demand
continues to be high, right? Heactually visited multiple parks
and Disney Springs in Floridathis year already. And you know,
we keep not like the parks arefull, the parks are parks are
full. So we complain about Parkticket prices, and we complain

(08:41):
about the long lines, right? Youknow?

Kelli (08:44):
But, I mean, that's it.
It just is what it is. Peopleare willing to pay it. They're
willing to go. And so you chargewhat the market will bear. Yeah,
business, this isn't a charity.
He

Chris (08:55):
pointed out, the guest satisfaction stores can scores
continue to be really high, andtheir intent to visit scores
continue to be very high. Thereason the question was asked is
because the intent to returnscores have been dropping in
recent years. Oh, that'sinteresting. So that's why the
question was asked, becausepeople assume that the intent to

(09:16):
return scores dropping isrelated to increasing ticket
prices. Yeah, but

Kelli (09:21):
you don't know that. It could have been, you don't know.
You don't know. You know, theyhave twins. Somebody had a
meltdown the middle of MainStreet. The dad has PTSD, and
he's the one filling up for thething, right? Like, you just
don't know.

Chris (09:31):
He's like, you don't know, I'm not going anywhere. I
gotta carry a double strollerever again.

Kelli (09:35):
I'm not doing it again, right? No, I mean, I get that,
but, yeah, I don't think theremay be a correlation, but I
don't think you can call it acausation. We'll see. Yeah,

Chris (09:46):
he also got a question about figment at the
shareholder. That's

Kelli (09:50):
fantastic. It was standing up for Figgy.

Chris (09:53):
I don't know who it was that asked, but he laughed too.
He's like he said. He. Getsasked about figment at the
majority of these shareholdermeetings. Really, what was the
question just, can we do morewith figment? Is there more we
can do with figment? Which isfunny, because you think the

(10:15):
question is, can we? Can we? Canwe revamp figments attraction?

Kelli (10:20):
You know, put figment in more places people love. He
laughed because he

Chris (10:25):
recognized how popular figment is, especially among
those people who love Epcot. Andhe said he would instruct the
creatives to create a series ofshort form videos for figment,
recognizing how popular he is.
Go Figgy. I think that's a goodidea. I

Kelli (10:42):
think that's fantastic.
People love Figgy. Love, love, love him. I mean, he had his
own, you know, flower display, yeah, the flower garden last
year. Yeah, absolutely right.
And it was super detailed with, like, he's

Chris (10:54):
really, like, he's sort of the Epcot mascot, yeah, he's
got a meet and greet. Now, hefell down,

Kelli (11:00):
and he's original to Epcot. He is right. So he's
original to that ride,

Chris (11:04):
yeah, right. Bring the dream finder back. Everybody
loves

Kelli (11:07):
Figgy. Um.

Chris (11:09):
Disney also announced the adults only Spaceship Earth
lounge. Geo 82 will be comingthis year. I was wrong. I
thought it might take over thatspace when you exit Spaceship
Earth. You know that sort ofarcade e type place with the big
globe it? I don't think so,because they here's the
announcement, and you'll see whyI say that when geo 82 opens
this year, the location willoffer reservations for guests 21

(11:32):
and older. The lounge will bethe ultimate spot to toast a
trip around Epcot withinnovative cocktails and
globally influence small plates, and you can take in spectacular
Park views.

Kelli (11:43):
So that makes it seem like it's where the other one
was, like, near Figgy. No,

Chris (11:47):
this is, this is that spaceship Earth. This is, oh, it
is at spaceship it's just notwhere I thought it

Kelli (11:52):
was gonna be okay. So it's got to be up near the top
of spaceship Earth. Well,

Chris (11:55):
I think when you're leaving the park, or if you're
leaving the park going towardsSpaceship Earth, there is like
this. There's something there onon that side of spaceship Earth,
where you can see this, this rowof dark like glass windows you
can't see through. And so Iwonder if it's there, because
you'd be able to see out acrossthe park from there. That's
interesting. So we'll see. I'mvery excited about that. I like

(12:19):
that they've got cocktails andsmall plates, yes,

Kelli (12:21):
yes. The other one only had, you know, Coke products,
and they were lovely. Well, thisisn't

Chris (12:26):
a DVC lounge lounge. They recommend not super

Kelli (12:32):
big fan of that. Then,

Chris (12:33):
so elitist. Well, let's talk about a DVC lounge. Then,
okay, the this week, the mckimsMile House, DVC lounge opened at
Magic Kingdom. This is where theshooting saloon used to be at
Frontierland that was

Kelli (12:49):
needed. Magic Kingdom needed a proper lounge

Chris (12:53):
for those of us who are allowed,

Kelli (12:56):
for those of us who need to lounge, Magic Kingdom needed
a lounge.

Chris (13:00):
So this is what they had to say about it, nestled in the
heart of Frontier land, DisneyVacation Club, McKim Mile House,
a member lounge, offers a cozy, convenient retreat for members
to share stories and rechargeduring their day of fun.
Experience the rustic charm ofspace of a space inspired by the
adventurous spirit ofexploration from a bygone area

(13:22):
era. It's open from 11am to 6pmalthough that's subject to
change, comfortable seating, complimentary soft drinks, Wi Fi
service, advisors and chargingcords available on request. But
they have, like, looks like theyhave little charging stations in
the

Kelli (13:36):
tables. That's nice, yeah, that's nice. So, very
nice. Yeah, very

Chris (13:40):
excited about that. It's named for Sam McKim, Disney
legend. He was the conceptartist for the original frontier
land at Disneyland. And soImagineers decided to base this
lounge on the historic milehouses of the Old West, which
are basically hotels. Okay? Andso while you're there, you can
see the stairway up to theboarding houses up on the second
Oh, that's cool. And from youcan see it from the lounge,

(14:03):
where you can see other famouspeople already staying in those
rooms, like the owner andfounder of The Big Thunder
mining company, Barnabas TBoone, that's awesome. And and M
Davis, which is recognizingDisney legend Mark Davis, is
also already staying at That'sawesome. So that'll be a fun
place to check out the nexttime. Absolutely yes. All right,

(14:26):
so that's the news, and talkabout Tomorrowland. I've been,
I've been waiting on this onefor weeks now. Okay, I'm very
nervous about I just, I don'tthink I've got the luck that
we're gonna be able to see thiswhen we go Disney Starlight

Kelli (14:44):
parade, okay, at Magic Kingdom? Yes, okay, yes,

Chris (14:48):
that's what I'm talking about. Okay? And you don't think
we're gonna be able to see i I'mhopeful. I'm hopeful. I just
don't know I've got that kind ofluck. It's supposed to launch in
the summer of 2025 hope

Kelli (14:57):
is a wasted emotion. I know it is. It's. Wasted emotion
you need to manifest that stufflike, do not just say I'm
hopeful. Hope is a wastedemotion. I'm 100% against hope.
Manifest it. Okay.

Chris (15:09):
I'm manifesting it. I'm putting it right here in my
Tomorrowland site. Yes, man, ifI'm

Kelli (15:14):
gonna do it, do it. Make it happen. There

Chris (15:18):
are so many night time parades that have, that have
happened in Disney history. Solet's talk a little bit about
those. The OG, of course, is theMain Street Electrical Parade.
Course it has. You know, it'sfelt on again, off again in
recent years. But I look back atits history, it's actually
always been kind of on again, off again. Yeah, like you says

(15:39):
the day it launched inDisneyland in 1972 it ran for
like, three years, and then itwas off for a couple years, and
then it came back again for afew years. Yeah,

Kelli (15:47):
that's what I've always felt about

Chris (15:50):
it. Then it started at the Magic Kingdom in 1997 and
ran, it did run thereuninterrupted for 14 years. Wow,
from 19 and from 1977

Kelli (16:02):
to 91 it's the electric lights parade, the elect, the
Main Street Electrical the MainStreet Electrical Parade, which
is different from the spectramagic. It's

Chris (16:11):
different than spectra magic. That's correct. Okay, so
it ran from like 77 to 91 theElectrical Parade, and then it
ran again from 99 to 2001 andthen it ran again from 2010 to
2016 Wow. But in those gaps, there was when spectra magic was
running right? So Magic Kingdomactually had a nighttime parade

(16:37):
that effectively ran non stopfrom 77 to 2016 so we have now
been like, nine or nine yearswithout

Kelli (16:45):
not a nighttime parade.
They were trading them withother theme parks, right?
Weren't they sending it toDisneyland? And Disneyland would
send us theirs and stuff likethat.

Chris (16:54):
Little bit. I think there were two Main Street Electrical
parades because Disneyland Parisran the Main Street Electrical
Parade for a while. They alsoran something called Disney's
fan illusion. Oh, right, thatsounds fun. Tokyo Disneyland had
a Tokyo Disneyland ElectricalParade. They also ran Disney's

(17:16):
fan illusion after that one andnow for and they've been running
since, like, 2001 Tokyo,Disneyland, Electrical Parade
dream lights. Now, Dream lightsis supposed to be next level
nighttime parade technology. Thelights are just supposed to be
like, blow your mind. I believe

Kelli (17:36):
that. Oh, I do

Unknown (17:37):
too, because they do,

Kelli (17:38):
they do it. They do it over there? Yes,

Chris (17:42):
Disneyland has also had other nighttime parades. They've
had Light Magic, which ran in1997 and they also have had
paint the night which comes ourI remember that one? Yeah, that
one actually comes back for a Ithink it comes back this May,
for a limited run to celebrateDisneyland 70th anniversary. Oh,

(18:03):
that's fun.

Kelli (18:04):
Yeah,

Chris (18:05):
that will be cool. And Hong Kong Disneyland also has
run paint the night. Okay? Therebefore, so lots of different
iterations, right? I find itinteresting that spectra magic
didn't run anywhere but MagicKingdom. Oh, that's

Kelli (18:19):
interesting, because I thought we got it from
somewhere. Yeah, that'sfascinating.

Chris (18:24):
It's not we. We're not.
We're not magic King, sure weare.

Kelli (18:31):
Sure we are. For some reason I always think of
spectrum magic as the electricalthe main street, Electrical
Parade. Oh, I get them confused.

Chris (18:40):
No, no, no, no. I stopped. I know, I had a very
Who Moved My Cheese. I rememberthe first time I ever saw
spectrum magic. And I had a veryWho Moved My Cheese. Didn't like
it, sort of feeling about theidea. I was against it. And then
I saw it again. I was like, Beokay with this. And my and, you
know, it was my grandma. She waslike, what if they didn't have

(19:02):
one at all? Well, then whatwould you do? Well, I know
exactly what I do. I would comeon my podcast. I complained
about not having one at all.

Kelli (19:15):
LG, bring it back home.
She

Chris (19:18):
kept me, you know, some gave me some perspective. And so
the new one is called the newone is called Disney, Starlight,
colon. Oh, gosh, easy, easy. I'mexcited there. Colon. Dream the
night away. Academics

Kelli (19:34):
love a colon. I'm all for a colon. Almost every academic
paper that I write has like, title, colon, secondary title,
so I'm for a colon. I know youmean it's like, we joke about
it. Joke about, like, what'sgonna come after the colon? You
know I'm saying, like, it's fun.
You like it colon, sir. You lovethis good time. I'm for it.

Chris (19:51):
What I find interesting is that, like, Tokyo Disneyland
did a colon, but they did theirTokyo Disney Land in. Electrical
Parade for years, and then theybrought it back, and it was
Tokyo, Disney Electrical Parade, colon dream lights. This is the
first run. This is Disney, andwe're doing it. I think

Kelli (20:12):
it's a strong way to start. It's a strong way to
start. Okay,

Chris (20:19):
so I'll just go. So like I said earlier, supposedly, the
lighting effects for Dreamlights in Tokyo Disneyland are
next level. The technologyaround the floats are just
great. I am so hopeful thatwe're adopting that for this
parade. It sort of feels likestarlight, Dream light, you

(20:42):
know, I don't know why I feellike it's going to but okay.

Kelli (20:47):
But same concept, though, like floats that are lit up,
yes, okay, floats that are litup, okay, making sure, same
concept,

Chris (20:55):
like we said, launching in the summer of 2025, they've
already got the web page onDisney's, Disney World's
website. So, like, you know, there's the whole, the whole
shebang there, with the colon, with the colon, even the, you
know, like, the time fortonight, no show this evening.
Like it's, it's all there. Okay,ready to,

Kelli (21:14):
like, it's just about that feels like it's ready to
pop, like they're on the edge ofa soft launch.

Chris (21:18):
That feels like they're on the edge of a soft launch is
what it feels like a cast memberpreview. Yes, as it were, yeah,
absolutely. Blog Mickeydescribed this as a quote, Star
kissed constellation of Disneydreams. Oh, that's a love, that
turn of phrase. It's kicked offby the Blue Fairy from
Pinocchio. She's the fairydescent. She clearly has no idea

(21:41):
who she is. I didn't even knowexisted. But the Blue Fairy that
that grants Pinocchio theability to come to learn into a
real boy. Well, she makes him awooden boy that comes to life,
and then she makes him a realboy, real boy. Okay, yes. So she
kicks up, she she invites you towish upon a star, and that's
what, okay, creates thisbeautiful parade, the starlight

(22:03):
parade,

Kelli (22:03):
because I would have thought that Tink would invite
us to wish upon a star. Well, that's not what Tink does. I
know. I'm just saying that'swhat who I would have put there
who asked us to wish upon astar. Mickey the Blue Fairy,
okay? And Pinocchio, so shesings When you wish upon a star.
No

Chris (22:22):
Jiminy Cricket does, but it's in the same movie
Pinocchio. Okay,

Kelli (22:26):
okay, all right, okay, fine. I had

Chris (22:29):
no idea. And they

Kelli (22:30):
said so they just didn't want Jiminy to launch it
marginalized cricket. Suchmarginalized cricket, you'll
find any merch for Jiminy.

Chris (22:41):
Man, I have gone. I got a minute and a half left. I have
talked nothing about thisparade. We will see floats
dedicated to Peter and Wendy, okay? And Elsa will have her own
float. We can't do doo, doo atDisney without giving Elsa. Elsa
needs a float. Everybody lovesElsa. I like it at Epcot when
they make her walk.

(23:05):
There will be an Encanto portionof the parade. Isabella makes
her magic kingdom debut, joiningthe madrigal family, where
she'll be swinging from floralvines. Of course she will.
Isabella is so stuck. Oh, she'smuch better now. She learned her
lesson. She likes to make uglyflowers. We get treated to a
moat, a float replete with anamazing luminescent waves. I saw

(23:26):
the concept art for this. That'scool. Her, her canoe is like
literally riding atop the way.
Yes, if you look closely, youcan see a Pua, a Hey and manta
ray.

Kelli (23:38):
Ooh. Grandma tala, Granny tawa. We

Chris (23:42):
will get to see a princess float, of course,
because there's going to belittle girls in the crowd. So
we've got to see the littleprincess float, which apparently
was this float that wasapparently influenced heavily by
Disneyland and Mary Blair. Oh,that's fun, fun. And we'll see
several Princess Prince comboslike Aurora and Philip, Tiana

(24:03):
and Naveen, Bell and Beast andCindy and charming. I just had
to say it like Cindy andcharming. Cindy and charming.

Unknown (24:09):
Okay, there will

Chris (24:11):
also be a cocoa float.
Interesting.

Kelli (24:14):
This thing looks, I bet it looks amazing. I mean, it's
like, covered in marigolds, andthey're all lit up. Well,

Chris (24:20):
this features Miguel Dante and pepitas.

Kelli (24:26):
They're the alabrijes,

Chris (24:28):
yes, okay. Pepita is the big green one. It's the big cat,
yeah, wing thing, yeah, yeah.
Can you imagine what that thingis gonna look like? Like, if
that's

Kelli (24:40):
okay. So we're not in, we're not crossing the bridge of
marigold. No,

Chris (24:44):
we're not just, I don't, we don't really know. I've just
seen the concept art for it,okay? And Pepita O N

Kelli (24:52):
G, I can imagine is going to is Miguel riding Pepita?

Chris (24:56):
I think Miguel is like, on the front of the float
playing the guitar. Are andpizzas up behind, and Dante's
also there. That one might bebeautiful enough that I would
gouge my eyes out afterwards.

Kelli (25:07):
Wow, don't do that, honey. You won't get to see it
again. I don't care. It'd be themost beautiful thing ever.

Chris (25:14):
And there will also be lots and lots and lots of nods
back to the OG Main Streetparade. So, very, very, very
excited about it.

Kelli (25:23):
Hope that means we get the snails. I love those snails.
I don't know if we're

Chris (25:26):
gonna get the snails, but we twirl and they do. They make
those little funky noises. I

Kelli (25:31):
love the snails.

Chris (25:33):
So very, very excited.
I'm just sure that we're gonnaget to see it. Oh no, it does,
like the marigold bridge. Isthere? Nice?

Kelli (25:42):
You got to kind of light stuff up. You have to marigold
bridge. Yes, you have to

Chris (25:46):
put some of these. Have to, actually. So anyway, there
you go. Okay, the Disney starlight. It's going to happen.
Honey. Manifest is going tohappen. I just made it happen.
Excellent. Just made

Kelli (25:56):
it happen. Excited about it. So today is March 23 sure
is, which is national chips anddip day.

Chris (26:04):
Well, I just decided what I'm having for dinner, right?

Kelli (26:07):
So I'm gonna tell you where you can get 10 amazing
things and dips that go withthem, okay, at Walt, Disney
World. So this is in noparticular order, okay, but I
wanna say we're not talkingabout the Mickey pretzel with
the plastic cheese. Okay, theseare unique things that you
should go out of your way to tryand get. Okay, so these aren't

(26:30):
basic. When we first moved outhere, a local Mexican restaurant
named amigos has a billboardthat says we have ranch and
things to dip in it. And Ithought, I'm gonna love
Nebraska. This is fantastic. Andso that's the energy that I'm
taking into this. I like it.
Okay, so the first place we'regonna stop is in Morocco

(26:50):
tangerine cafe. This is anEpcot. They have this at almost
every festival, but you can getit inside the tangerine Cafe as
well. This is going to be yourstone baked Moroccan bread with
assorted dips. Now the dipschange regularly. You can have
hummus. There's one calledzaluk, and that's an eggplant
and tomato dip. There's onecalled zoo dip that is cilantro,

(27:12):
garlic, chili pepper, spices andolive oil. Sometimes they have a
sweet one, like a fig dip. Thecool part about this is it's
usually about $6 so if it's at afestival, it's like 525, right?
So this is affordable, and welove the tangerine cafe. So
total winner. So absolutely, that's that's a showstopper. Go

(27:32):
there to celebrate chip and dipday. The next place you want to
stop is in Mexico. This isoutside at La Cantina descent
and hell. So this is the outsideone. Okay. Now here you're gonna
not see this on the menu, okay, which is fine. All you do is ask
for it right now. Here's thebeauty. You're gonna ask for

(27:54):
chips with cheese sauce. This isgoing to be your white queso,
okay? And they give this to youin like a half pint container.
It's a significant amount ofcheese that they give you there,
and it is worth every ounce ofit. Now you could go just with
their straight nachos, whichinclude ground beef and beans,

(28:18):
tomatoes, jalapenos and sourcream. But I say don't ruin the
chips with all of that. Okay,we're celebrating chip and dip
day. Chip. Don't cover it withall of that. You can also get
guac for $3 okay? So if you canget your chips with queso and
guac, that would be amazing, right? That's your best chip and

(28:41):
queso on Disney property. Don'tquestion me on that. I'm a queso
connoisseur. That's your bestbet, and it's fantastic price.
The nachos are like $15 they'llsell you that chip and queso for
significantly less than that, Ithink, like half the price. So
I'm just saying Don't sleep onthe nachos in Mexico with some
queso. That is the way tocelebrate chip and dip day. Now

(29:04):
I'm going to take some libertywith the chip side. Come on with
the chip side of things, and acouple of these. Our next stop
is going to be Nomad lounge andanimal kingdom. And here, the
first thing that we're going toorder is the churros, because
they come with three differentdips, and they're fried like a
chip would be.

Chris (29:28):
So I ain't mad at it.
We're calling it a

Kelli (29:31):
crunchy thing with something and there. Okay, so
this is gonna come with yourvanilla crema, always, and then
seasonal sauce, whatever theyput in those dips. Just eat it.
Eat it. Just eat it. And

Chris (29:43):
don't and don't be ashamed of like when you get the
bottom of like, picking it up,lick it, sticking your tongue
down,

Kelli (29:49):
lick it, and take and lick your fingers, and then dip
them into the basket to

Chris (29:54):
get all the cinnamon and sugar. Put your like thumb in
your mouth and just suck it.
It's easier to do

Kelli (29:58):
that after you've had a couple of. Snow leopards. But, I
mean, I'm just saying which is adrink, be clear. Also at Nomad
lounge, you're going to want toget the Tiffins bread service.
This is $18 you get multipledifferent types of bread with a
coconut curry sauce, a guavasauce and a gender ginger pear
chutney. Don't sleep on that.
Yeah, don't. Nomad Lounge is afantastic place to celebrate

(30:21):
chip and dip day, and I highlyrecommend the churros are about
$15 and the Tiffins breadservice is about 18. It's

Chris (30:32):
That sounds expensive, but it is totally worth it. You
haven't had churros like those.
Never,

Kelli (30:36):
never. Now, Animal Kingdom is trying to spread the
love with churros. They'veactually launched what is called
Family churros. You get this atthe eight spoon Cafe, which is a
winner, which is a winner. Loveeight spoon. Ca, absolutely.
Family churros. These are 21mini churros with caramel and
chocolate dipping sauces andsprinkles.

Chris (30:57):
I saw this for 1599 I didn't know where to get it. But
of course,

Kelli (31:01):
interwebs are all about this. They are the interwebs are
dying over these family churros.
This is 1599 and it looksamazing. 21 mini churros. Do I
have to share it with family?
No, you do not. I think 1599 isa perfectly fine cost for a
meal. Go with that. Go withthat. You do you. But again,

(31:26):
don't sleep on churros. Now,next is something that you might
not think about. Okay, we'regonna move over to Hollywood
studios and visit Woody's lunchbox. Okay, now here is where
you're gonna order the potatobarrels, just plain potato
barrels. Those are 499, theseare tater tots, people. They
just can't call them that, because that's the brand name,

(31:47):
okay? And their cheese sauce.
Now, again, this cheese sauce isjust $1 okay?

Unknown (31:54):
This is

Chris (31:54):
plastic cheese. No, no, no, remember you got it last
right? And we thought, How isthis $1 How is this $1 we

Kelli (32:04):
were crazy for this cheese sauce. And I was like,
how are they just charging $1for this? This is not the
plastic cheese Okay, so this iswhat you're getting. It's just
$1 and it's their cheese sauce.
And it was like a light yellowcolor with with spices and
things in it. It was like a caselooks like it had some paprika
in me, yes. And so I think whatthis is their cheese sauce is

(32:24):
actually their nacho cheese thatthey put on the potato barrel
entree maybe. Yeah, they'retachos. They're tachos. That is
a

Unknown (32:36):
steel at $1 that is a steal. It is a absolute steal.
The plastic

Chris (32:43):
cheese is a steal for $1 absolutely this is You've robbed
a whole stagecoach. It is insane

Kelli (32:49):
that you get that for $1 I've just never seen such a
thing. So 499 potato barrelswith their dollar cheese sauce
at Woody's lunchbox. Don't sleepon it. Highly recommend. I don't
remember the name of it, but thealcoholic beverage they serve as
well as whatever Pop Tart theyhave for the day, okay, they
need to sell that alcoholicbeverage in just a pitcher, and
they can just keep that cheesesauce coming. Yeah,

Chris (33:10):
$1 for each $1.

Kelli (33:12):
For as sweet as you want to give me, like it's just $1
you know how I am with stuffthat's just $1 Okay, next, we're
gonna move over to DisneySprings, and we're gonna go to
wine bar, George. This is wherewe're gonna get the burrata. Now
y'all burrata is burrata, andit's amazing. And I love any
burrata wine bar. George knowswhat he's doing with cheese. He

(33:34):
does this. Burrata comes withtomatoes mint and sourdough
crostinis. This is $19 and sohonestly, those little sourdough
bits with the burrata is it'sheaven on a plate. And if you
need more of the sourdough bits, then just be like, I need more
of the sourdough bits. They'llbring them. Okay, they'll bring

(33:54):
them. So don't, don't worryabout that. Get yourself a good
bit of that burrata on everysourdough bit. And if you need
more sourdough bits, then getmore. Okay, that's $19 then
you're gonna pop over to artSmith's homecoming, where
definitely recommend the sweettea shine. And on the side of
that, you're gonna get the bunchof puppies. These are housemade

(34:17):
hush puppies served with pimentocheese and red jalapeno jelly
for $15 so good. Don't missthat. That is a Fun Dip
situation. Now, while you're inDisney Springs going over to
polite pig. Polite pig has a hopsalt pretzel. This is a big
pretzel, like what you would getin Germany. This comes with beer
cheese fondue and mustard sauce.
So if you want to do the pretzelwith cheese. Like, if that's

(34:41):
your heart snack, then go to thepolite pig and do it there. Get
a proper pretzel and cheese tocelebrate chip and dip day.
Like, don't phone this in withthe Mickey pretzel and the
plastic cheese in the park, right? Don't phone this in, all
right. Do it right? Go to politepig last two sleep. Sleepy
Hollow. Now we know SleepyHollow tests a lot of things

(35:01):
out. They do. You remember thelast time we were at Magic
Kingdom and we were waiting forthe nighttime show? I was
hungry, and I was like, What canI go get? I'll just go see. What
Sleepy Hollow has they havehouse made chips for 329 I don't
know of anywhere else in thepark really, that has those
House made chips, especially notquick service. Highly recommend

(35:21):
you get a good amount of themand just go with the ketchup to
dip like these things are saltedto perfection. They're
fantastic. Just stick with theketchup as your basic dip, and
you will not be disappointed, better than a fry. Yes, would
not be disappointed. And lastbut not least, again, these are
in no particular order. We'regonna pop back over to Disney
Springs, to jock Lindsay'shanger bar, where we're gonna

(35:44):
get the bread dip pyramid. Thisis Brazilian cheese bread,
little bitty bits of 'em soldstacked up in a pyramid. And on
the side of that, you get acreamy tomato sauce and a
chorizo dip sold for 1250 theselittle cheese breads look
amazing, and the sauces lookedgood too. Highly recommend

(36:08):
anything called a bread dip.
Pyramid. Agreed,

Chris (36:14):
agreed. Just top marks on your list. It

Kelli (36:18):
is top I know I killed that.

Chris (36:20):
I do have one thing. I'm not

Kelli (36:23):
accepting feedback at this time. I'm not currently
accepted.

Chris (36:27):
What's it called the Saganaki on fire at Vine bar.
It's not officially a

Kelli (36:31):
dip. It's melted cheese, but it's not officially a dip.

Chris (36:36):
Controversial.

Unknown (36:41):
Just saying.

Kelli (36:43):
I'm just saying, I clearly know what to say.
Obviously you disagree, butthat's fine. I'm not accepting.
