We hope you have enjoyed parts 1 to 5 of our Levitt Review Podcast, so far…  

James and Jon were delighted to host part 6 of the podcast with Nick Maclean FRICS, the Interim Chair of RICS Governing Council.

Nick joined the podcast from Dubai, immediately reminding the boys of the fantastic British weather, as he resides in the Middle East winter, at a slightly chilly 20 degrees and sunny!   

A podcast littered with unique insights and some great anecdotes, it was a pleasure and honour to be able to discuss so candidly Nick’s experience, from inside GC and throughout the Levitt review process.  Nick left us with food for thought and an insight into the changing face of RICS, giving a vision for the future, as we pick ourselves up, dust off and get back to working together for the greater good.

James and Jon have reflected on their experiences and heard from Steve, Dayle and Anthony.  As the SurveYOUR podcast Levitt review series approaches its twilight episodes the boys can draw it all to a close, satisfied that inviting Nick into the discussion has provided the opportunity to ensure a balanced coverage.

Our thanks to Nick for spending time with us reflecting and looking to the future.  The commitment and hard work Nick has put in over the last few months to keep the GC ship afloat (and James and Jon appreciate the internal GC workload), can only have a positive outcome for our Institution.  Thank you.

The Levitt Review has been a pivotal moment in our institutions 150+ year history and essential membership reading to reflect on what has gone before and the amazing opportunity of what lies ahead.

James and Jon have embarked on a mission to provide an audio / podcast version just for you!  There will be quite a few episodes with James and Jon, and some amazing guests, as they work their way through the detail.

James and Jon were part of the GC19 group who supported the 4 NED’s that were dismissed and also pursued mistruths and incorrect press releases about the information and awareness provided to the GC19 members.  Needless to say, now vindicated and apologised to by RICS, the experience is still very raw and conjures up a myriad of emotions as the boys reflect on the experience.

It is worthy of note that James and Jon will reflect on the past but are most keen to stare into the future and see what an amazing institution we can build upon the lessons learnt from the Levitt Review.

As always, the SurveYOUR podcast is a joy to produce, and this episode is a brilliant opportunity for James and Jon to do what they do best… have a jolly good chat!
