Kyrie disappears in game 4 and Luka spent more time yelling at the refs than he did playing in the game. Is that why he missed the late game free throw? Donovan Mitchell with a late game scratch in what ended up feeling like potentially a winnable game if he played….

(00:00):
All right, everybody.
Welcome in Season 2, Episode 20of the Swish List Podcast.
Thank you so much for beinghere.
It is the second round of thepostseason, and we got a lot to
talk about with every singleseries that you want to see is
tied up to two.
Nobody cares about Boston versusthe Cavs.
I'm sorry.
Nobody cares.
Everybody knows what's going tohappen.
Donovan Mitchell's sitting outthe game.
He knows LeBron's sitting therehalf drunk on a full bottle of

(00:23):
wine.
He knew what was going to happenbefore he showed up to, um, but
the, the rest of the series, which is where we're going to
spend the bulk load of thispodcast talking about the
Thunder and the Mavericks, theTimberwolves and the Nuggets,
the Pacers and the Knicks alltied up to two.
And, uh, I don't know ifthere's, if you can ask for a
better second round in terms ofmatchups, in terms of the

(00:44):
quality of the games, thestorylines that we're getting to
watch, uh, It's been incredible, incredible, uh, incredibly fun
to watch, fun to see.
Where do you want to starttoday, Roman?
Where do you want to start?
Let's start with NuggetsTimberwolves.

(01:06):
Okay, listen, America, um, ifthere's one thing that I'll do,
It's I'll acknowledge when I waswrong, okay?
Now the series isn't over, but Itold you last podcast that we
needed to prepare ourselves forif the Minnesota Timberwolves

(01:29):
were going to sweep the DenverNuggets.
Uh, let me tell you something, the NBA colluded to get Denver
in those games.
No, they didn't.
Listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen
to me.
Now you listen to me, alright?

(01:49):
They played game two on a Sundaynight and they didn't play again
until Friday.
No other team had that long of abreak.
Not a single other team had thatlong of a break.
And no one can explain it to mein a way that makes sense.
They started their series early.
Why?
Why'd they start it early?
Why didn't they wait?

(02:09):
Because entertainment, those aretwo of the top teams, you know,
gotta keep, gotta keep thepeople watching.
Then why would you let thepeople wait five days for a
game?
Because then the second roundhad started.
There was still first roundseries going on.
Then why are you playing thesecond round?
For the entertainment of thosetwo teams.

(02:30):
You get one of the most excitingplayers in Anthony Edwards.
And you get the MVP of theleague, Nikola Jokic.
You can't tell me these thingsin a way that's going to make
sense in my mind.
The only thing that makes senseis this collusion.
Uh, no, okay, on a serious note,on a serious note, Denver showed
up.
They came to play.
Uh, they punched the MinnesotaTimberwolves in the mouth.
Aaron Gordon has been solid.

(02:52):
And, uh, this is, this is kindof where things stand for me in
terms of watching theTimberwolves.
Um, they're a very streaky team,a very streaky team.
They're missing, you, you wouldalmost trade one of their
defensive players for, um, foran offensive player.
When Anthony Edwards isn't onthe floor, they don't have a get
a bucket guy.

(03:13):
Aaron Gordon's really hidden catand just, I mean, he was what,
like 5 for 19, 5 for 18 lastgame, just really bad.
Uh, and so Minnesota, they justdon't have somebody they can go
get a bucket of than AnthonyEdwards.
Makes it tough offensively, theyfind themselves in just these,
these bad spurts of offense.

(03:34):
Uh, and Denver, Jamal Murray isplaying like playoff Jamal
Murray.
Jokic is playing well, and forthe life of me, I can't
understand why.
If, why go, you're gonna run aset to get Gobert on Jokic, I
can understand that.
But why is Karl Anthony Townscoming up from the dunker spot

(03:55):
to double Jokic in the paint?
I, I can't, I can't, I don'tunderstand it.
Bro, Aaron Gordon's justcatching these easy lobs, I'm
like, at what, like, After lobnumber two, maybe you shouldn't
like it's a lower percentageshot for Jokic to shoot the hook
over Kober that it is for him tolob it for a dunk to Aaron

(04:17):
Gordon.
I couldn't and that and that'sreally the thing with the
Timberwolves is they havestretches where they just they
look like they don't know whatto do with a basketball.
That's what they look like.
They look like they don't knowwhat to do with the basketball.
Rudy Gobert gets it and he'straveling.
He's throwing the ball toMichael Porter Jr.

(04:37):
He just he doesn't have a postmove.
It's like when he touches theball on offense, he's scared.
He doesn't know what to do withit.
And so he just makes a baddecision.
He doesn't have one go to movethat he can use consistently.
Where he doesn't have to thinkand he's a major liability.
No one should be a hall of famerif they don't know what to do

(05:00):
with a basketball in their handand they're playing in the NBA.
Uh, Rowan, where, where are someof the gaps in, in what I'm
saying?
What are you seeing in terms of,uh, schematically, uh, what are
you seeing schematically betweenDenver and the Timberwolves?
Well, I thought I was sure thatthe Timberwolves had an in for
it, you know, bounce back game.
But Aaron Gordon showed up.

(05:21):
The guy shot over 90 percentfrom the field.
I think he missed one shot.
Two, two point three point linehad like three steals, three
blocks.
It was that kind of stat line.
Six assists, nine rebounds, 20plus points.
He was the X factor.
I mean, you know, Yo Kitch isgoing to put up 20 plus points
and almost triple, doublenumbers.
Jamal hitting his finally shots, half court shot.

(05:46):
Oh my gosh.
Aaron Gordon showed up and shutthem down.
Uh, usually in the playoffs, there's going to be an X factor
in every single game for theTimberwolves for a few of these
games.
You know, Nikhil AlexanderWalker was hitting threes in, I
think it was game one, uh, JadenMcDaniels was really big for
them in a few of the games, butthe X factor for game four was

(06:09):
definitely Aaron Gordon.
He, he showed up.
Um, but like I said, I assumedthis was going to be the bounce
back game.
But they couldn't bounce backand I couldn't agree with you
more with Rudy Gobert.
Uh, he catches the ball and hejust looks frightened.
Uh, it's, he is an anomaly.
There's, there's no other playerlike Rudy.
Just, he helps your team so muchdefensively, but you just see

(06:32):
them look at him on theoffensive end and you're just
kind of like.
But, also with Kat too.
Cat, like, I saw this video andit was talking about Cat and it
was like, Oh, he's just a youngplayer.
Give him a few years.
He won't make these offensivemistakes, these defensive
mistakes.
And then you're like, Nope, thisis year nine for the guy.

(06:53):
Yeah, he's the one that'ssupposed to be leading this
team.
He's been a part of theorganization for longer than
anybody.
But you just kind of shake yourhead and you're like, why did he
shoot that?
Why, why did he foul that guy?
Why did he do that?
So the Timberwolves bad gamesreally make them look bad.
Like, yeah, but again, they canhave a good game, but Ant can go

(07:16):
for 45 points and they look bad.
The shot that stands out to meis cat catches it on the right
wing beyond the three pointline, just shoots it and misses
the rim completely.
That shot stands out to me.
Uh, the series really, theseries at this point is going to

(07:38):
come down to, you're looking atthree players, Carl Anthony
towns, Aaron Gordon, and JamalMurray.
Those are the three guys I'mlooking at that are going to
define the series becauseAnthony Edwards is going to
score 40 points.
He's he's not Michael Jordan.
Okay.

(07:58):
But he's, he's early.
He's early years.
Michael Jordan, where it's like,I'm, he's going to put up 30,
40, maybe even 50 points.
But he's playing against aBoston Celtics team that's just
better than his.
I'm not saying all these guysare hall of famers, but real
ones understand the point.

(08:18):
Like, you can't stop AnthonyEdwards.
And I don't think Denver is eventrying at this point.
I mean, they're sending doubles.
They're making it difficult forhim, but they understand that
he's going to get his, he'sgoing to get his, but nobody
else on that Minnesota team iscapable of doing what he can do.
And it's really a shame becauseto your point, Karl Anthony
Towns is the best shooting bigin the league.

(08:39):
And somehow, when he has a sizeadvantage, a height advantage,
he should have a strengthadvantage.
He can't take over a game.
He can't consistently deliverfor his team.
And so that's, that's reallywhat the series is gonna come
down to.
You can't stop Jokic, he'sinevitable, and that's okay.

(08:59):
You can't stop Anthony Edwards.
He is a one in this league.
He is a dominant force in thisleague.
Hopefully he continues to grow.
But the series isn't going to bedictated by him.
He's not going to decide howthis thing goes.
It's going to be if Aaron Gordonshoots 90 percent or 80 percent
and gets 5 dunks from the dunkerspot on lobs.
And if Jamal Murray is hittingthese, just the shots that break

(09:24):
your back.
He just, he makes shots thatjust fold the opposing team.
And I think those three playersare going to really dictate the
terms.
I agree.
So how do you see it going?
Because for me, I say it's, Ithink whoever wins game five

(09:46):
wins it.
Yep.
I think it's going to go toseven.
So I think for me, it's a bounceback.
This is a bounce back type ofseries.
A way team took two games, a wayteam took two games.
So I see it as whoever takesgame five probably gets it.
Loses game six bounce back, butthen bounces back and wins game
seven.
That's how I see it.
You think we're at the pointwhere it goes seven.

(10:07):
Um, assuming that bounce back isgoing to be the timber rules.
I mean, they're coming off twolosses in a row.
So I see it as timber wolves, game five nuggets, game six,
timber wolves, game seven, you've got the wolves winning
the series.
This is a big swing.
America.
This is a huge swing for Roman.
He's never once.
Yeah, don't get twisted.

(10:28):
I had the Nuggets winning theseries.
I, I was wrong.
He never in his life, never aday in his life, and he's been
on the earth 20 years, okay?
He's never once said that theTimberwolves are gonna win a
playoff series.
This is the first time ever.
That's true.
I'm just curious, how do youfeel right now?

(10:49):
I, I, I feel sad that I pickedthem because I was wrong.
I was wrong and I hate it.
I, I just assumed the nuggetswere going to take it in six,
but yeah, hey, they still could.
I could be right.
This is one of those.
I'm switching up.
This is one of those serieswhere, like, we're just, we're
just going, everybody's flipflopping right now.

(11:10):
You're flip flopping like crazy.
You just, you're just like, theTimberwolves are the greatest
defense we've ever seen in thehistory of the world.
And it's like, you can'tunderestimate a champion.
Three time MVP Jokic.
Yeah, they can't shoot thebasketball anymore at home.
Um, yeah, I, I think whoeverwins game five wins the series.
I am a Timberwolves fan.

(11:31):
I'm gonna root for you.
for my Timberwolves to win it.
I'd love to see this closed outin six.
Um, but I, and I do believe thatthe only way that happens is we
win game five and there's sometype of injury, uh, of reinjured
calf, a sprained ankle, somebodyfalls out of that rotation for
Denver.
Maybe we've got a shot.
Maybe we try and, you know, there's a shoe issue like when

(11:53):
they played the Lakers.
The shoes don't get loaded onthe bus.
I'd love something like thatright now.
That'd go a long way for me.
So, um, tough one.
Tough one.
But, uh, I'm still holdingstrong with my wolves.
And, uh, we'll see what happens.
Moving on, let's talk about theMavericks and the Thunder.
Really weird series.
Really, really, really weirdseries.
Uh, nobody thinks Luke ishealthy.

(12:14):
Nobody thinks Luke is healthy.
And we saw a very interestingKyrie Irving tonight.
Where I believe he was makingthe right play.
In just about every situation, and that's why he racked up as
many assists as he did on very, very solid passes, great plays.

(12:36):
But closing out the game withnine points, and what stands out
to me more than anything is youhave a chance to tie the game.
You have Luka Doncic on yourteam and Kyrie Irving, and the
shot that you get is a threepointer from Tim Hardaway Jr.
And I know the refs called afoul on Shea fouling.
P.
J.
Washington.
But that was still the play.

(12:58):
That was still the play.
So who am I supposed to pointthe finger at?
Am I pointing the finger atJason kid?
I mean, you have one of the guysthat's hit one of the most
clutch shots in the history ofthe NBA and Kyrie Irving and
Luca.
He's, he's a clutch player inhis own right, but neither one
of them has the ball in theirhands at the end of the game to
tie it up.
Like what, what, what the heckam I missing?

(13:21):
Tim Hardaway, he fell out of therotation during the playoffs.
So I, I can understand I wassurprised to see him getting the
minutes he was getting todayafter some of the things I was
seeing from like he hit a fewtimely shots, but he had an
opportunity to help the team andhe did not.
But again, that goes back to acoaching, a coaching thing.

(13:43):
They had 10 seconds on theclock.
They pushed the ball up thecourt and yeah, that's that.
Obviously, like you said, theyfouled, but it's just so
interesting to think thatthey're trying to get the ball.
to Tim Hardaway for a three.
It doesn't make sense.
But, like you said, Kyrie andLuka were not playing well.

(14:06):
Luka talked about it in hispress conference.
He was like, everything hurts.
But he's not making excuses.
It's the playoffs.
Um, he's been getting hit a lot.
But he had an awful game.
Lots of turnovers.
Shot like 30 percent from thefield.
I mean, yeah, he had a tripledouble, but this is what we
expect from him, but we don'texpect him to shoot the way he
did.

(14:27):
Um, and then Kyrie, uh, I thinkthis is just testament to OKC's
defense.
Chet is an incredible rimprotector and everybody else
played him well.
I mean, Cason Wallace did agreat job guarding him, uh,
blocked a three pointer attempt,uh, towards the end of the game,
uh, did a few other things forthe team.
Lou Dort, just bugging Luka,he's been doing it all series,

(14:50):
so I think part of that is justa testament to this young OKC
team who has a deep rotation andcan put a bunch of guys on those
two.
And make them miss shots, makethem angry, make them turn the
ball over.
So I think it's, it's just asmuch OKC playing really good
defense as, as it is theMavericks, just kind of throwing

(15:12):
it away.
This was a, this was a grimygame.
The Mavericks shot 40 percentfrom the field.
OKC shot 38%.
OKC 26 percent from three, theMavs 34%.
And then.
And then the free throwdisparity, right?
Both teams, like, great, uh,Dallas shoots 23, the Thunder

(15:33):
shoot 24, but the Thunder go 23for 24, and Dallas goes 12 for
23.
And, and I, and I know, right?
The Thunder, you're seeing Sheaget to the line more often than
not.
That's the trend for that team.
Not saying that's what happenedtonight, but that's the trend
for that team overall.

(15:54):
They've got fantastic free throwshooting from their guards, but
that's normally who's shootingthose free throws.
And with Dallas, you're seeing alot more of Lively shooting
those shots.
Gafford shooting those shots andthose guys are not free throw
shooters But the one free throwthat does stand out to me is
luca had his he had a chance Hehad a chance to make a clutch
free throw when they needed itmost it wasn't a play That was

(16:18):
being run for him or a set wherelou dortz able to get up
underneath him because he is alittle bit hurt This was ball
stoppage shoot a free throw andhe missed it And he missed it.
And this generation of players, nobody's gonna call him out for
that kind of stuff.
The way that they would a LeBronJames or a Kevin Durant.

(16:39):
We're gonna kinda let it slide.
I guarantee you they're justgonna kinda let it slide
tomorrow.
But this is just something thatneeds to be noted.
Is it's like, this is a seriesthat was ripe for the taking.
They could have gotten a 3 1lead tonight.
And you're missing the shots.
And your co star, Kyrie, givesyou nine points.

(17:02):
Nine points.
I mean, really bad.
The duo did not play well.
No, it's not good at all callsthe whole game.
Yeah, this, this is the timewhere, you know, the refs are
going to call less, less foulsand you shouldn't be worried
about the refs as much.
Let the coach worry about that.
But Luca in the middle of thegame while he's being guarded,

(17:24):
uh, Ludor will touch him, grabhim.
And he's dribbling and he'lllook over at the ref like you
didn't see that.
Hey, Luca, there's 12 seconds onthe shot clock.
Yeah, we're still playing.
Can't just stop in the middle ofthe game.
And obviously he didn't do thisevery play, but I think this
just shows, uh, I believe one ofthe reasons why they lost the

(17:45):
game because he's so worriedabout, Getting fouls, the foul
baiting stuff.
And, uh, it's, it's basketball.
You've got to take yourselvesaway from, from the refs,
especially as the best player onyour team.
And I think he failed to do thattoday.
We'll have to wait and see whatgame five brings.
I still don't believe in thisOklahoma city, Oklahoma city

(18:05):
team.
If you're struggling with theDallas Mavericks, I mean, you
don't stand a chance against ateam like Denver.
And I think a team likeMinnesota will put you in the
blender if they catch you.
So the Thunder have a long wayto go.
Um, but we know this game fiveis going to be fun.
And I, I genuinely hope, like, aguy like Luka could use those
five days rest that for somereason they gave to the

(18:26):
Timberwolves and the Nuggets.
Um, he could use something likethat right now.
Give him a little bit of juice.
He's not gonna get it, but he, Ibet you he wishes he could.
Excuse me.
Moving on to the Pacers and theKnicks.
The O.
G.
Annanoby injury.
It really just ended this team.

(18:46):
It ended the Knicks.
Um, the Pacers, the Pacers, youcould make the argument have the
best pace in the NBA.
They, they are the best team inthe league at speeding up their
opponent.
And I know they get a lot ofheat for the, the high scoring

(19:08):
games that they have.
But really, it's an indicator ofhow much, like how good they are
at speeding up the other team, forcing them to take early shots
in the shot clock, they'rerunning the floor every
opportunity that they get, andI'm sorry, but a Tom Thibodeau
team playing against the Indianateam with, with A deep rotation,

(19:33):
plenty of young guys that arehealthy, hungry, and ready to
play, that run the floorconstantly.
I mean, they're barely subbingJosh Hart out of games.
Dave Ancinzo, same thing.
Jalen Brunson, same thing.
It's like, this is, you'restarting to see the wheels come
off.
You're starting to see theinjuries add up.

(19:55):
That's, that's really what Isee.
It's, it's not an indicator thatJason, that Jalen Brunson can't
do it.
It's got nothing to do with thequality or the character of the
players.
I just think with everysignificant team that Tom
Thibodeau has, The wheels falloff at some point because he
grinds his players into thedirt.
I could not agree with you more.

(20:16):
That's precisely what I wasgoing to say.
Um, and I think this series was.
Was going to show it.
The Pacers have the fastestplaying offense.
They have the highest scoringoffense.
They have the best offense inthe NBA.
And this is due to the way thatthey play their defense.
They speed you up, get you intoa quick shot, then they get out
in the run.
Tyrese Hallenburton is probablyone of the best players in the

(20:38):
league in transition.
Finding the right guy.
and you play your guys 47minutes a game.
Jalen Brunson is dealing withthis knee slash nerve issue
going out of the at the secondquarter coming back into games.
Uh, Mitchell Robinson out withan injury.
Uh, Randall is not even thereanymore.

(21:01):
Um, and like you said, O.
G.
out with his injury.
You're this is what happens andit only works for so long and
it's starting to show up.
And again, they might be able toget out of this series.
Um, just because the Pacersdon't really have experience and
they are a succeed.
They're succeed for a reason.

(21:23):
Um, but it's really showing upand It could potentially lose
them the series too, because wewe've seen the record with OG,
they talked about it a lotyesterday.
Yeah.
This team doesn't lose when OGplays, but it's because of the
way he plays, but the way heplays is also going to lead him
to an injury.

(21:44):
Uh, Josh Hart's playing well,but it's, it's that time it's
starting, it's starting to winddown for them.
And like I said, even if theyget out of this series, I mean,
you go against the Celtics.
So, uh, Tom, Tom Thibodeau, justagain.
overdoes it, and he thinks it'sfunny to play his guys 48, all

(22:06):
48 minutes and wonders whythey're hurt.
Yeah.
I mean, they're out of forwards.
They just don't have any moreforwards.
Like they run in a bunch ofguards.
You can't do that in the, in theNBA.
Like the league today, low key.
It's a big man's game.

(22:27):
Like it's a, it's a big man'sgame.
We were, we are literally, we'rereliving like the OG NBA days.
It's, it's a big man's game andyou can win a game with this
five out Jalen Brunson styleoffense.
But when you don't have theforwards, And you lose some of
that size.

(22:48):
You can't get as many offensiverebounds.
You can't crash the glass likeyou could.
You don't have the length on theother end of the court.
Um, wow, wow, wow, wow.
So, uh, who do you got winningthat?
You taking the Knicks?
You sticking Pacers?
Where are we going?
OG's injury changes everythingbecause new information, new

(23:10):
decision.
Pacers are my team.
They've been my team.
I've been saying this since thebeginning of the season, but
it's true.
I had Knicks originally, but I'mstarting to like the Pacers.
If Tyrese will take 15 shots agame and not choose to take six
shots, they can win the series.
They could, they could just takethe next two games, especially
with the injuries going on.

(23:31):
They could do it.
Um, with new information, I'mgoing to say Nix in seven.
Still, you're going Nix inseven.
Give me, give me Pacers inseven.
I think that, I think that thisis the beginning of the Nix

(23:54):
falling apart.
Once again, yeah, this is, thisis just the beginning of the Nix
falling apart.
And, and I think, uh, I mean, the Pacers bring in TJ McConnell
and he's just running aroundlike a madman.
Um, I'm looking to him to have apretty solid game off the bench
and I've got the, I've got theIndiana Pacers actually closing

(24:16):
out the series going to be toughto do.
They're going to have to win agame in New York, which they
haven't been able to accomplish, but with no OG never been a time
better than it is right now.
That's another good thing aboutthe playoffs is each series is
different right now.
We've got a 3 1, we've got, uh,it's been home, home, home teams

(24:39):
win for the Knicks Pacersseries.
Uh, back and forth for, for OKCMavericks.
And then we got a ways teamswinning for the, uh, Nuggets and
Timberwolves.
So we've got a bunch ofdifferent things happening.
So it's, it's.
It's definitely keeping thingsinteresting.
One of the things that I thoughtwas interesting was Donovan

(24:59):
Mitchell, a late day scratch tonot play tonight in a game that
I felt like if he was there, they probably could have won.
Agreed.
Agreed.
As soon as I saw that report, Iwas like, so we're just
foregoing the season.
I mean, Obviously we don't knowthe injury could be really
serious, could be, uh, but itjust, it makes you wonder, uh,

(25:26):
you're gonna look back on thisteam and, uh, in a couple of
years, it's just gonna beDonovan Mitchell couldn't,
couldn't win, uh, but, oh, hesat out.
But that's, that's not the storyof it.
So you hope it's a real injuryand not just them forgoing the
season, but it, uh, it hurts tosee because they definitely
could have potentially won thatgame and made this series

(25:46):
interesting.
Yeah.
Uh, it's a classic DonovanMitchell, dude.
Playoffs get tough.
Here he comes.
Oh wait, no, he doesn't.
It's like the intro to avatar, the last airbender, right?
When you needed him most.
He vanished.

(26:09):
He vanished.
Like that is that is the that isthe classic Donovan Mitchell.
Um, and I think this is atelltale sign of a guy that
doesn't want to playing inCleveland and isn't willing to
really go the next go to thenext level because Lucas hurt.
Lucas not feeling good.
Lucas going through it and he'splaying.
Jamal Murray is hurt.

(26:30):
He doesn't feel good, but he'splaying.
And to your point, we may notknow the severity of the injury,
but I feel like it's a lategame, a late game scratch at
some point.
You had to have felt like therewas a chance unless it's just
straight gamesmanship, whichDoesn't do anything to the
Boston Celtics.
Now the Jason, this better be areal injury.

(26:50):
Yeah, I know.
It better be the, the, the JasonTatum thing is interesting.
A lot of people are roasting himon social media right now,
basically saying that he's not aone, he doesn't have a killer
instinct.
All the same.
Jason Tatum things we've beenhearing for feels like a decade.
I'm not gonna knock the guybecause he really does have a
complete team around him, but Iwanna see more from him.

(27:13):
Yes.
Is there a time and a placewhere maybe we will?
Yes.
Could he be conserving hisenergy on these teams that it
doesn't matter really how wellhe plays?
Sure, sure.
But the Boston Celtics are goingto the finals and what if you're
a Celtics fan right now, theonly thing that you should be
scared of is you're not going toplay a legitimate team until you

(27:36):
get to the finals.
That's when we should be afraid.
Easiest road.
One of the easiest roads ever.
The easiest road by seeding wasactually Denver last year.
No team has played that many lowseeds in succession than the
Denver Nuggets last season.
So that's why I need theTimberwolves to win is so that
we can prove that Denver'sactually a fraud.

(27:59):
A fraud that they really are.
Only time will tell.
But only time will tell.
I think Jason Tatum backed it upa little bit today.
Um, he had 33 and 11, somethinglike that.
Distributing well, but again,he's not even leading his team
in points per game in theplayoffs.
Jalen Brown has still been theguy.

(28:21):
Mr.
Right hand only has still beenthe guy for them.
Um, but the Celtics team justhas too many weapons to drop
four games to any team.
It's that's really all there isto say about it.
If one of them has a bad game, drew holiday might go for 25.
So it's They're, they're playingthis well without Christophe's

(28:42):
poisoning.
So yeah, Derek white left thegame as well.
He was having kind of an offgame, but he left the game as
well.
That's the thing to watch withBoston.
If they lose a key player, everyseries, keep an eye out.
Last time, last time they madeit to the finals.
We know what happened.
We know exactly what happened.
We know exactly what happened.

(29:02):
All right.
Around the NBA, we have themost.
Uh, boring NBA draft that hasprobably ever existed.
We had the NBA lottery that noone cared about at all.
Roman is this, how much of thisis because they're trying to do
these things during the postseason.
They're literally competing withthemselves versus there's just

(29:24):
no players that anybody knows inthe draft.
That's exactly it.
The first point it's why are wetrying to overlap?
Uh, I never understood this.
We've talked about this with NBAawards.
Uh, and they do it with thistoo.
There's so much time in theoffseason.
Why can't we just wait?
Why, it's, it's not that muchlonger.

(29:46):
Uh, I, I don't understand it.
It's, it could be interesting.
I mean, especially with the NBAseason just ending, it would be
a big conversation topic.
The Hawks getting the number onepick, but it's like, Nobody
cares.
It's in the playoffs.
Nobody cares about the Hawks.
Yeah.
Nobody cares about the Spurs.
Nobody cares about the Pistonsright now.
That's, that's offseason stuff.

(30:07):
So, it's, it's just them.
There's gotta be some reasonthat we don't know that I don't
know, but I, I just, I don'tunderstand it.
Neither do I.
Push the postseason a week.
Do all the awards one day and dothe combine another.
Or the draft.
Do, do the, do the, do thelottery, and then the, and the

(30:27):
combine the other, the otherdays.
Do it Monday, Wednesday, Friday.
But they won't.
They won't.
And it doesn't make any sense.
And nobody cares to watch any ofthat stuff.
You're telling me I could watchthe Denver Nuggets play the
Minnesota Timberwolves?
Or, I could Watch the combine, watch somebody grab a read a

(30:49):
card, read a card that we didn'twant to hear.
There's just no, come on, whatare we, what are we doing?
Uh, in other news, LeBron Jamesbrings out his own bottle of
wine, looks half drunk on thesideline, just a mess.
Why is LeBron in Cleveland?
What are you doing?
He's he's visiting his museumthat they just put up for him.

(31:12):
You know, I thought he'd stop byat the game.
Oh, yeah, I thought he'd stop byat the game.
I was waiting for the players tolike say something to him, but
it never happened.
You know who else?
Tyrese Maxey was at the game, too.
I saw that.
I was looking.
I was like, is that Tyrese?
He's a he's a he's a clutchsports client.
So I wonder if it was like aclutch thing.
I'm not sure.
Okay.

(31:32):
Could've been.
Could've been.
I'm not sure.
NBA players making appearancesafter being eliminated is, is
pretty funny.
Yeah.
Um, also, I would like topetition that the NBA stop
putting freaking games on at 5o'clock on the dot.
I'm literally driving home fromwork.
Can you please give me 30minutes?

(31:54):
They do it every other day.
It's 5 and 5.
30.
5 and 5.
30.
It's stupid.
I, yeah, I don't know why theywould do that.
5, 5.
30 is always perfect.
Sometimes they even do 6.
Whenever it's 5, it's like, itjust seems early, but it's
probably just because they wantto get them done earlier because

(32:14):
if you're on the east coast, you're watching a game until 1am
sometimes.
Yeah.
I don't care about the eastcoast though.
Yeah, but people, people do,Moses.
People do live over there.
Okay.
Nah, I guess you, guess you gota point.
Yeah.
It's a stupid one, but whatever.

(32:36):
Bronnie James is the only playerkeeping the combine alive.
Bronnie shooting 19 for 25 for 3at the combine just proves that
all you VASA fitness guys,Golds, gym, whatever you want to
call it, that think you couldhave gone to the league.
This man shot 19 for 25 in frontof NBA scouts.
In front of NBA scouts.
And people are saying he mightbe a fringe NBA player at best.

(32:59):
Yeah.
If you're listening right now,you got a lot to, you got a long
ways to go.
Go, go find the gym.
Find the gym.
Uh, at least a 40 inch verticalto you gotta have a 40 inch
vertical to maybe even 42 43 bythe time you're there.
Well, that's it for the Swisspodcast this this week.
Really?
Just the biggest thing that wewanted to do was was covered

(33:21):
these games.
Give you guys an idea as far aswhat we're seeing what we're
expecting and what's to comenext by the end of this week.
Roman, some of these seriesmight be, it might even be over.
It might be over.
And so this really is our timeand our chance to get to talk
about, you know, the DenverNuggets in a little bit more
detail and to to, to really talkthrough these other teams as

(33:42):
well.
It's a, it's a greatopportunity.
Uh, let us know your thoughts.
Who do you have winning theseseries?
Let's look at Minnesota and thennuggets.
Comment below, wolves ornuggets.
Who do you have winning?
I want to know.

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
