Patrice B (00:40):
What's up y'all?
I am so happy to be back and itis the end of 2024.
This motherfucking year has beena test of my will and patience.
And I know I'm the only one.
I feel like everybody around mebeen like discovering some
things about themselves, aboutothers, about life.

(01:02):
Wanting growth changesinevitable, right?
But I was like, God damn 24,what else you gonna give me?
I'm so happy to see it go.
I am.
I'm looking forward to 2025.
And the last time I was talkingto you guys about reflection of
where you've been and whereyou're going, right?

(01:24):
But I'm definitely lookingforward to where I'm going
because everything that I havebeen through has molded me to be
where I am today.
And I was just talking to thiswith some friends.
Of we think about and friendswith some different
conversations about, you know, how the things that we have gone
through have molded you to bethe person you are today.

(01:50):
While I think about all thethings in life and when I say
all the things, it's some of thethings that are like, like, Hey,
when I think about this is thepersonal side.
But when I think about myfather, right.
And I, this is the discoverythat I had to make within the
last few years of my healingjourney that this man, he wasn't

(02:12):
in my life like he was maybelike my siblings, right?
But what I've been learning inhis older years, cause I lost my
mom early.
I only have my, my father leftwas that, damn, I am so glad
this man wasn't in my life.
When I was younger, because Ifeel like if he was, I wouldn't

(02:36):
be this fucking awesome rightnow.
And that is because he has somehealing and some learning to do
within himself, right?
But the moment of reality is, isthat I had to say, thank you for
your absence.
Because your presence would havecaused me problems.

(02:59):
And then it made me think about, fast forward to your current
life of dating, meeting people, having certain people in your
space.
Have you ever been happy aboutsomebody's fucking exit?
I have been, I'ma tell you 2024I done lost some friends.
Some relationships went left, like I have been happy about the

(03:19):
fucking exits because it's likeI realized that they were no
good for the growth and where Iam going.
They were not helpful.
And I've noticed a lot of peoplehave lost friendships that
they've had for a really longtime.
Relationships are ending.
But it's that discovery of wherewe are now and it's like what is

(03:42):
it that you really want?
What is it that you really need?
And this whole year I've beengiving y'all that whole healing
journey of Patrice B I swearSome of this shit was really
like in the moment.
I'm sharing it with you becauseyeah Discovery, it isn't always
easy, but the discoveries thatI've made about myself, I was

(04:05):
like, girl, that was you rightthere?
That was you.
But in the now, it's like, Irealize so much more of how the
thought of someone who has nothad themselves together, or

(04:25):
they're not on a healing journeythemselves, or You know, they
got a lot of work to do.
I passed cross for a reason.
And maybe it's for them to beenlightened by my presence or
the reverse for me to beenlightened by their presence or
the lack thereof, right?

(04:46):
And I've been appreciating everymoment because the awareness and
my eyes are being open, my eyesare being opened to, Hey, that's
saying that everybody ain't foryou, they not.
Everybody got their own shit.
They do.
But the overall summary is, isthat I know that I'm not out

(05:06):
here intentionally to, I don'tintend or intentionally hurt
anyone or being malicious.
Now on the flip side of that, ifyou piss me the fuck off, you
gonna get what you get and maythe Lord be with you.
Sorrows, sorrows, prayers,prayers.
Because the reality of it is, isthat you start some shit, you
get what you get.
But more, so you lose the personthat's really there for you,

(05:30):
because I always lead with goodintentions.
I'm not leading with malice orill intent.
But I do realize that I told youguys this maybe several podcasts
ago when TD Jake said you can'texpect a gallon out of a pint.
You cannot expect for somebodyto give you more than they can,
i.
e.
my father.

(05:50):
He couldn't give me no more thanwhat he gave me and what he gave
me was what he gave.
But he didn't have that capacityto give me any more.
And that on the other hand, I'mlike, well, thank you.
Because I would have seen a pintas What was, it was supposed to
be, and I really deserved andneeded a gallon.
And I got that.

(06:11):
I got that from outside sources, mentors, people, men in my life,
women in my life.
I got some positive influencesthroughout my years that got me
to this place of me being ableto speak to you guys, talk about
a healing journey and be where Iam right now.
There are so many things thatI'm looking forward to in 2025.

(06:35):
Wow.
So many things are moving andshaking and I can't wait to
share it with you guys, but it'sit's the time of Really?
Analyzing where you been andwhere you going and I ain't even
worried no more about where Ibeen But I'm definitely looking
forward to where I'm going.

(06:56):
I'm telling you guys like it'sCrazy as I sip this vodka In my
Starbucks cup with a straw.
I'm giving real bougie.
It's, it's saucy.
Like I'm definitely, you shouldsee it.
I wish you could see it.
But I guess you guys will soon.
Soon enough.
But, amazing enough, I'm at thespace now.

(07:19):
Are you realizing thateverything that has happened,
happened for a reason.
It was necessary.
It had to happen for us to bewhere we are today.
To appreciate where we aretoday.
I have been trying to narrowdown my word for 2025 and I

(07:40):
don't even know if I'll be ableto necessarily narrow it down
and maybe on the next podcastI'll have some words for you
that I've decided on but I thinkabout collaboration, I think
about growth, I think aboutcelebration because I'm going to
be celebrating in this year 2025because y'all this is a party To
be able to be here right nowdoing the things that I do,

(08:03):
doing the things that I love, that the fact that I'm still
here standing and talking is awhole full blown motherfucking
celebration and we should.
I'm going to enjoy and embraceeverything that comes my way,
good, bad, or indifferent.
But I know as long as God givesme another day to try it again,

(08:23):
I'm back at it.
And I hope for you, that samething happens for you, even
though it's going to throw yousome curve balls, try to knock
you off your path.
I need you to understand eventhe things that come your way to
try to knock you off your path, you are still on it because your
destiny is for you.

(08:43):
And we've come so far.
To be able to be where we aretoday, you listening to this, me
sharing with you, we have comeso far.
We've overcome so much.
And I can't even imagine whereyou're about to be in these next
few years of your life.
And not that it like, not likeit's the end, but you know what

(09:05):
I mean?
Going forward.
Let's just say all of them goingforward.
As we end out the year.
I pray that all of you find thelove that you desire and that it
is healthy, supportive, abundant, and always, I hope
that you find the job and youland in a space where it

(09:26):
supports you.
It allows you to grow.
It gives you what you needfinancially.
So you are abundant at work.
I pray that for families, youguys are together, growing and
blossoming together in fullabundance.
I pray this over your wholeentire being, that we all

(09:49):
recognize where we been.
And we celebrate the now, because what I know is that
yesterday is today.
Tomorrow is today.
What are you going to do withit?
Are you going to celebrate it?
Are you going to worry about thepast?
Are we going to worry about thefuture?
But understand that today isyour day.

(10:12):
The time is now.
Take that leap.
Love a little harder.
Make more money.
Leave that job.
If that's what's best for you.
Don't be listening to me.
If you ain't got no money, youcan laugh, but let's work that
out.
But do what you love.
Love what you do.
And I'm telling y'all likeanother year is coming.

(10:34):
For this Tacos Tequila Therapyand the tea with Patrice B, I'm
so excited because who knowswhere we're going next.
But thank you for being on thishealed and healing journey with
me.
Happy New Year.
I'll 2025.
