Big Slick here 👊 Got a story or need advice? Text me now — might make it on Talk Ya Sh!t! 🎙️💯

Today we’re getting into a workplace situation nobody wants to admit they’ve been offered:
A little extra money… if you snitch on a coworker who never crossed you.

On the surface, it looks like a quick win — but we’re breaking down what it really costs.

In this episode, we dig beneath the dollar signs to expose the truth:
snitching on the job doesn’t just affect your paycheck… it affects your reputation, trust, credibility, and long-term success.

We cover:

🔥 Why “informant culture” reveals a toxic workplace
🔥 How snitching can block promotions and ruin relationships
🔥 The hidden consequences that follow you long after the money’s spent
🔥 How managers use snitches as tools, not talent
🔥 What to say when your boss tries to pull you into the gossip economy
🔥 How to protect yourself, set boundaries, and keep your integrity
🔥 A step-by-step plan to stay paid without selling out your name

At the end of the day, not all money is good money — and some deals cost way more than they pay.

If this hit home, follow the show, share it with a friend who’s dealing with job drama, and send in your own situation so we can break it down on the next episode.

SPEAKER_00 (00:05):
You, you, and you.
You two.
Now, let's talk about it.
What up, what up, what up, whatup?
It's your boy, Vic Slick, andwelcome to Talk Your Shit.
Yo, we got another greatepisode.

(00:25):
As always, we're gonna jumpright into it.
But first, I want to give ashout out to the audience.
Whether you at home, at work, inyour car, truck drivers on the
road.
I appreciate you tuning in.
Yo, check this out, man.
We're gonna jump right into theletter.
I'm gonna give you my honest, unfiltered opinion, raw uncut.

(00:46):
That's how I do it because I'mgonna talk my shit.
All right, check it out.
Snitch or stay broke.
All right, this is gonna be agood one.
My boss basically offered me aposition if I snitch on a
co-worker.
I actually like I need themoney, but she's cool and never
never bothered me.

(01:06):
She never bothered me before.
Should I snitch, stay loyal, orquit?
Hi, let's jump right into it.
So, your boss wants you tosnitch on a co-worker.
Oh man, it's crazy out here, man.
Bosses is crazy out here, man.
How they put people in position, you know.
I'm saying, to do or even actsomething like that.

(01:29):
Me personally, I wouldn't snitchon a coworker, you know.
It's just snitching is not in myDNA.
But you saying in thissituation, you like, yo, you
broke, you need the money, andthe boss is offering you a
promotion to snitch.
Now, a lot of people, I'm gonnabe honest, a lot of people would

(01:51):
jump out the window immediatelyand snitch.
They would have started talkingbefore the boss even finished
the sentence.
What you want me to tell?
I tell you everything.
They'd have said the address, where they live, if they'd have
told everything, the parents, the mother, maiden name, it'd
have been all types of shitgoing on right now.
The boss would have askedcertain people this question,
they'd have snitched at a dropof a dime.

(02:14):
But it seems like you're thetype of person that has some
type of integrity that's gonnado the right thing, whether
somebody watching you or not.
So you you actually thinkingabout like, yo, I don't want to
snitch.
This is a good person.
A person never bothered me.
Why would I snitch?
Right?
Why would you snitch?
But then you you throw in there, you broke, and it's a promotion,

(02:36):
right?
So a lot of people, when theyhear money, they're gonna do
whatever for it, you know.
I'm saying a lot of peoplesnitch for free with no money
involved, you know.
They snitch.
You throw money in the equation, they start singing immediately,
you know.
I'm saying you'll think theydown with an RB team, something,
but they start singing realquick when money is involved.

(02:59):
But like I said, you questioningthis right here, and and for
good reason, because listen, ifthe boss is offering you a
promotion to snitch, right?
And you do snitch, let's let'ssay you snitch.
How do you think the boss isgonna look at you now?
If you snitching on a co-workerthat you work next to next to

(03:21):
every day, right?
Probably helping each other out, getting the job done, and you
tell on that person.
So, what you think how the bossis gonna look at you after you
snitch?
Do you really think the boss isgonna trust you?
You might get promoted, but youmight get promoted to a spot
where you stuck in with nogrowth from that point, and he's

(03:44):
the boss, he or she is not gonnaever trust you because you
snitched on a person that you'rearound all day.
I highly doubt that you workright next to your boss all day.
Your boss is probably in theoffice somewhere, you out here
with this person, and now yousnitch on them.
So the boss is gonna look at youlike a rat anyway.

(04:05):
So you might get a promotionnow, but you're gonna be
expendable later.
All right.
So it's like this all money isnot good money.
You know what I'm saying?
Some people say any money isgood money.
It's not the truth.
All money is not good money.
I went and snitched you know I'msaying, when I'm from Brooklyn,

(04:27):
snitches get stitches, you knowwhat I'm saying?
Put another smile on the side ofyour face.
Don't do it, man.
Don't snitch, man.
Stand your ground.
Say you don't know.
You don't know say neither.
Say you don't know nothing, man.
How the boss know you know, right?
For you to snitch.
How the boss even know that yousaw the person do something?

(04:51):
They don't, they just guessing.
So say no, you didn't seenothing.
You know what I'm saying?
So now the boss can't look atyou crazy, like you're
withholding information.
You don't know nothing, so youain't withholding no
information.
Keep it moving.
I would not snitch, I would stayloyal, stand my ground, and
definitely don't quit.

(05:11):
Why would you quit?
You're saying you need themoney, so why would you quit?
There's no reason to quit.
Stay at your job.
You know what I'm saying?
If you like the job, stay there.
If you don't like the job, findanother job first and then
leave.
Don't just quit.
A lot of people just quit anddon't have another job lined up.

(05:32):
If you want to leave, then findanother job and then leave.
You know what I'm saying?
Because honestly, uh, why wouldyou want to stay on a job where
a boss wants the employees tostart ratting out on other
employees?
Because what's gonna happen isgonna come a time when they go
to another employee about youand offer them the same deal.

(05:54):
Hey, hey, if you you tell onthis person and you probably
ain't even do nothing, you knowwhat I'm saying?
Make up something, you know, they can make up a lie.
The boss goes, Hey, you say thatperson do that, did this, I'll
give you a promotion.
So, what I would do, since yourboss, you know, trying to get
you to snitch, I just look foranother job, man, and just keep

(06:15):
it pushing because the table'sgonna turn where you're gonna be
in this position.
And believe me, when they offerit to somebody else, they
probably gonna snitch on youbecause it ain't too many people
that's rolling you out here, andeverybody trying to chase a
dollar and get money by anymeans necessary.
But again, all money is not goodmoney, man.
That's what it is.

(06:35):
That's my raw, uncut opinion.
This was another easy one, man.
This is getting easier everyweek.
Look, this is big slick.
If you want to be on the show, you want your letter on the
show, just email me at talk yourshit daily at gmail.com.

(06:59):
I'll pull your letter, put it onthe show, and read it.
And that's what it is.
And if you want to leave acomment, leave a comment down
there.
You know what I'm saying?
Give me some.
If you want a topic for me todiscuss, you could just leave a
comment real quick.
You don't even gotta send theemail.
Real quick, type it in, boom, boom, boom, keep it moving, and
I'll jump all over it.
You already know what it is.

(07:19):
