Do we wanna... Do we wanna plug the
grand? Yeah.
Yeah. We do. Is there ever could it
be another episode of the grand? Yeah. There
will be.
What what do people need to buy you
to bribe you to cut the episodes of
the grads that we have? 0II
didn't ever see this as leverage. I only
saw this as, like, a failing of my
mental album.

(00:21):
Look, if you if you asked for leverage.
I'm sure people
provide us. Yeah.
Gotta think about.
Come back to me.
Yeah. If you want to bribe like did.
For another episode for the Grants, reach out
to... Our website is gran pod dot com.
There is no contact page. There is no

(00:41):
contact page.
I am sad about not doing the live
episode. Yeah. That would have been sean. Well,
that's Nikki fault. Be we... Yeah. We should
be angry at Nikki that. Yeah. It's like
fuck.
Hey. We're on the same page here. Yeah.
Yeah. Yeah.
Welcome to the third season of talking sons,

(01:02):
The fatal podcast about Dungeons and Daddy's made
by fans of the show. Dungeons and dad
is a pod cast about 4 everyday most,
fighting the forces of darkness in suburban 19
fifties America. This is in that podcast. You
should go listen to it because we don't
care about spoilers and we'll spoil everything.
Talking suns, season 3 episode 5 and 6,
the double sow, death of a salesman,

(01:24):
the music goes here, the dang, but dang
but dang.
Hi.
My name is Jamie, and my brad fact
is
that Brad pointed out that he is a
non euclidean object. He pointed out that Euclidean
space is just where If you have 2
parallel lines, they never intersect in non euclidean

(01:47):
space, 2 parallel lines will intersect, in maybe
1 or more places. And human beings for
instance, the skin, if you draw 2 parallel
lines around your finger, they might intersect in
2 places making human skin a non euclidean
space.
Yeah. You can't react. No.
I got nothing man.

(02:08):
Boo.
I mean, I appreciate definitions, but boom.
Euclidean brad. Thanks Brad. I. I... I'll shut
up nerd.
Yeah. Shut up. Nerd. It's... My
a nikki and Emma are both too unemployed
to be here. Oh.

(02:29):
0.
I'm.
And my Rad or Brad facts or other
facts. Is that my girlfriend has actually started
in earnest. Listening to Dungeons and Dad. That
poor.
Healthy see
for her
she legitimately loves the podcast. She's started it.

(02:50):
Like, I took her to the New York
Live show because I had an extra ticket.
And I was like, let's go. And she's
is like, these guys are funny. I was
like, yeah.
They were. They were. Well, okay.
But I do want to say that, like,
season 2 is shaping up to be the
skip episode. It's not like when the podcast
took an irreversible downturn. Like... Yeah. Three's doing

(03:13):
Right. I I made 80 90 95
percent with moments that are just as good
as the original. Yeah. Oh, for sure. I
mean, this season anyways. Yeah. Last season was
a dumpster fire. This season pretty good. Yeah.
Yeah. I think I've fully convinced her to
not listen in a season too. Good call.
Just like, she could feel the sadness because
she she wrote she was on a podcast

(03:34):
episode note with us. So
she did ask at 1 point. She's like,
so how did normal happen?
I was like, when when we were more
enthusiastic
about the fake? Stuff she was baking up
as opposed to the stuff that we actually
heard. Yeah. I I think I've convinced her
that she just wants to go through a
episode. I think 47
is called talking suns, and that's the 1

(03:55):
where they drive the van to the portal,
and they could've have just gone home, but
didn't. Oh,
I think after that point, you know what,
you don't really
get much. Yeah. I I definitely moments. Yeah.
But... Yeah. III kinda of agree that it
wasn't, like, as consistent.
Good after that point. Yeah. Feel like, that's,
like, a nice happy ending place for the

(04:16):
podcast if you just want, like, that story,
just, you know, write yourself in, like, and
they all made it happily ever after, like,
anthony didn't hold the second half bullshit. And
also, that was when, like, the seeds were
planted for what happened in the epi log.
With La Spa, because that was when the
deck of many things happened, and that's when
Henry made an enemy of 1 of his
sons and that led to the unleashing of

(04:38):
the doodle and that led to season 2.
Exactly. So, you know, I just cut it
off early. Wrap it up in a nice
little hypo hypothetical bow. You got this beautiful
little funny story on move on to season
3. Can we just like, edit the return
home portion of the 5 final episode and
the good parts of the epi log and
just have talking suns be the end of

(05:02):
final you know, the director's cut the director's
cut of season 1.
You know, I I'm I I think that's
a great idea. I don't think Freddie will
give via the audio files.
No. Probably not. You might. You're might. Yeah,
They can sell too much ad space in
the back half. They're not gonna...
Through
not gonna take those down. Well, but the

(05:23):
thing is that this gives them the opportunity
to...
Create another episode. It's it's essentially free content
because it's the happy ending. It's true. Like,
they're they're not gonna go in and edit
and get rid of all of those spots
to sell ads, but, like, that'd be a
pretty nice little Christmas gift or something.

(05:43):
Perch pretend season 1 still holds up.
Yeah.
You know. The revised edition.
Yeah. Seasoned 1 revised edition.
That's just a lost those back half of
the book out. I mean, I'm, like, I
don't wanna fully, like, be, like, you should
never pass up. Point because, like, that does
include the well actually castle of books or

(06:04):
whatever the fuck was calling it. And that's,
like my starring role in the podcast. Point
But Yeah.
Was very excited to hear them mention talking
suns existing and immediately texted me who threw
up. Oh, that was... Yeah. That was my
wife. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Your wife.
My laugh.
She barf. Yep. Good all day. Just about

(06:26):
that was just about 4 years ago. Yeah.
Yeah. We've been doing this for a while.
Yeah. Because because of my kid's fourth birthday
is coming up,
next March. And so this was... Yeah. This
was
coming on like, oh, no, fifth birthday. Yeah.
We're we're old as a podcast.
Yeah. We are.

(06:46):
Yeah.
Ugh,
oh, boy. Okay. Luke go. Hey. I'm Luke.
My bad fact for this week was gonna
be that I was hopeless addicted to Gotcha
games, but I uninstall it from my Pc
and my PS4. So that's not... We're not
addicted to that you anymore. What which 1
shit impact? Is the Zone 0 dropped

(07:09):
in July second. I started playing it like,
2 weeks ago, and I was really enjoying
it. And then, literally
today,
it hit me that I was like, oh,
and This is just a giant treadmill, and
they're gonna keep me on it forever, and,
like, all of my enjoyment that I was
having with the game just like jumped out
a window.
And I need to wanna play it anymore.

(07:30):
So I had uninstall it. Ram. I have
precisely 1
thing that I'm okay having that relationship with.
Like, I I reached that point in Pokemon
go, and I was just, like, no. I'm
not doing this anymore. Mh,
duo
like, that in my
that of my opinion is evil
gamification for good. Yeah. I mean, like, at

(07:50):
least that's could potentially have a positive.
Impact on you. Whereas this is like, oh,
I could I could spend 10 dollars and
get 10 pulls and maybe I'll get an
s rank Oh.
Yeah. I mean, they are getting money from
me. I do have the the annual
subscription, but I get it. Like, every year
around New year's when they're doing that sale.
So you're not getting a lot of money

(08:11):
from me. And they're definitely not, like, gu
me for cash on the regular? Yeah. No.
Are you getting our whole language from them.
So... Well... Yeah. I mean, just the 8.
Yeah. All, I got was anime girls and
to depression, you know, in August
had girls I had see if the if
you were just like, anime girls, I'd be
like, oh, 0 yeah. Fuck. Yeah. It's like,

(08:32):
fuck duo.
Fuck do. I want Anime girls. Yeah.
What the enriching my life by opening myself
to a new culture? That no. Anime cross
fuck anime girls.
Alright. We all just finished listening to season
3 episodes 5 and 6 ir robot, and

(08:52):
A car is born.
In this episode, they returned home and then
left again. How's So How's I mean, I...
You know, like, I I guess we're actually
gonna have to, like, stop putting, like, such
lazy episode recap because it's like, I think
that they're earning it again. They doing. They
are
They are doing things. They even split the

(09:12):
party to do different things.
Yeah. I, like, they haven't really had a
5 footer yet. It's it's all been moving.
There's been a lot of motion. Thanks, Will.
Yeah. Yeah.
I mean will the iron fist. I mean,
they tried to bully him out of doing
shit, but he all eat they would ready

(09:33):
just spend, like, a negative 5 footer in
the past.
Yeah.
To Yeah. But, like, every time you would,
like, rush in. Rule was like, okay. That
was great. Now we're still gonna play the
game My have plan bitch.
So You can. That's only worked for the
editor and I don't edit.

(09:54):
And Oh, yeah. That that used to be
Freddie. Yeah.
So so the war Freddie talked. Ups esther.
Yeah I I wonder if that's where he
got... Sort of, like, attitude of... I'll say
anything I want and I'll keep the good
bits. It is. It's it's powerful to know
that you can say whatever the hell you
want just be like, it's not getting in.
Yeah. Yeah. Been there done that. We're we're

(10:16):
edited by the way has a podcast. This
hardly.
Yeah. What do we get off topic and
talk about bullshit for 30 minutes on end
and you just cut the whole block that
ever happens. Right? Dev. Oh, man. It's my
favorite part of the edit.
And I'm just sitting there and I'm like,
oh, yeah. This is the top. I was

(10:36):
not gonna make it. I just get sit
back and listen for about 10 minutes and
just be like, u. And this we're gonna
come back in. Yeah. It's worse when we
have those 25 minutes of content
episode so then you have to go through
the cutting room floor in order to... Pack
content back in. I will put out a
25 minute episode. It's okay. I'm sure. I
was get excited. They're like, oh, good. Only

(10:57):
25 minutes this new weekend.
I only had those to duties for 25
minutes this would be amazing. Okay. So let's
let's walk through the double so. Right.
Trudy, definitely a robot, such a robot. Yeah.
Drop down a mine shaft, not the first
trudy.
But has a brain. Well, that was them
too. That was

(11:18):
Assume of them have brains. Yeah. So, essentially,
like, the... If she ever went down into
the basement gonna be, like, a a mad
scientist
stage where there's a robotic half finished body
or bodies on, like, you know, the tables
floating brains and jars.
R guy getting these brains, man. I wanna

(11:39):
know about him. I don't care about moth
men and summon
having the fuck anymore. Like, tell me more
about
Tucker.
Well, you don't wanna learn about moth man
and his purple goo.
Oh, no.
Moth Jesus.
Roth jesus.
But also,
a fourth child. Trudy alpha knew about a

(12:01):
daughter.
She catch that.
I catch shot either. Like Victoria, I believe
it was.
And so, yeah, Like, that is a little
bit messed up. And and so it kinda
to.
They're trying to, like, be a wife too.
Right? Like, they're trying to be a person
who was a person.
Trudy? Yes. Yeah Yeah.

(12:22):
Truth True, like, the the the so all
of the treaties that I've ever been are
modeled after a person that is, I assume
dead
that
the husband, whatever his name is. I don't
remember fucking names in this podcast in anymore.
I remember it's Tucker because that's the name
of Jake Tucker his wife's.
Lover in the canon of Na short rest,

(12:44):
but
but, yeah. I assume this is,
like Tucker attempt to Frankenstein his wife back
to life, but he doesn't, you know, have
any of her bits. So He's trying to
make the perfect wife again or something.
Trying to... I don't I don't know. Replace
what he lost, I guess. I mean, sure

(13:04):
more. I'm I'm hoping that he's growing the
brains and jars and not like over overriding
brains.
Hard love. Although it was also established in
the flashback that cats can have human level
intelligence and be calm.
Just thinking about Tony makes me angry. So...

(13:25):
Well, okay. So Okay. So... Yeah. So 2
Trudy gets thrown down a mind shaft.
Yes. Fights her past cells. Maturity phone gets
a little bit stabbed. Gets a little bit
stabbed and then meets moth Jesus.
How would be his name? And then,
Kelsey Grammar and Francis
hang out

(13:45):
under floor boards. Yeah. Hang out under in
in the crawl space and
under the bed with, like, it's clear that
those 2 characters were just like, hey, come
fight with us. And To get said that
they were both, like, do not interact. Fucking.
Yeah.
Fucking
bat and Anthony.

(14:05):
Being the shit players of that moment. I
swear to God. Well.
I mean, Anthony was kinda towards the end
like a 0 trust.
Essentially, Anthony was gonna do what Anthony wanted
to do. And,
you know, the players kinda had to follow
along. And whereas,
Will is starting to see the the results

(14:26):
of that where, you know, it's like my
my friend, Like, when I play games with
him, he puts stuff behind doors. Like, if
you just open up and barge and walk
through a door like a normal person, he's
gonna punish you at least once or twice
the campaign. And so I don't trust doors
around him. You got the long pointy stick.
Yeah. Well, I feel like that we're dealing

(14:47):
with a with a table of players that
I've have all been burnt
so many times
by
malicious characters who just, like, you know, take
that goal ability and and use it as
a weapon Yeah. Was burnt with interaction with
the story? Yeah. Yeah. Whereas,
will, it's like he setting up his characters
where it's like, if they talked... To the
cops. I mean, there's a chance that they

(15:08):
might not have been arrested. If they just
are like self defense. Yep. And then thugs
coming around like... Yeah. I was just, like,
you gotta come and that fight us in
the ring to your, you, they... They weren't
trying to kill anybody at that moment.
Right. Right. Yeah. And and so it and
so, it is interesting. I wish the rest
of the daddy's crew, the best in their

(15:30):
post traumatic search. Dressed disorder. You know, counseling
sessions, and Yeah. May they, you know, come
to to cope with their their past trauma.
God bless him.
I mean, we'll see
because we'll we'll give Freddie a lot of
outs. And I'm frankly surprised after used 2
episodes that Tony is alive period.

(15:53):
True. Shouldn't be. He reached
double quadruple should not be.
He... Yeah. He absolutely... Should not be alive,
but he is... And he... I mean, he
is literally on his his the last the
life of his cat lives,
like, literally.
There is no outs for him anymore, but,
like, yeah. He should have been dead an

(16:15):
episode and half ago.
Talking to it it's like, yeah. You got
a backup characters like, nope.
Why would any of them have backup characters?
Well, they wouldn't. Yeah. I don't know. Like,
though, it feels like that that Anthony's parents
feel like that they would be fun to
play. Paranoid.
Super prep,

(16:35):
crazy people. Oh, yeah. I'm sure that their
stat sheet is probably a little bit min
max. Especially anthony his mom. Yeah.
Yeah. But,
Beth may is the queen. III
don't... I I still I don't think that
it is like,
better than season
1, like, greatest moments. But... God. Beth bay

(16:57):
is the queen is
I I was... It it had me, like,
just laughing in so much the way that...
Yeah I was is stellar.
And the queen obviously wish to buy your
most? Come the record car.
Oh, I was struggling.
So we've got we've got Tony. He gets
you shot first. Right? That's like, the first

(17:18):
thing that happens to him?
You have to sneak out the back. Right?
He tries to sneak out to his car
and go driving away. And as he's driving
weight, he gets shot. Yeah. That's the end.
Right.
Because
the the Mi 6 agent is like, yeah.
You're the you're the handler,
pretend to be the handler for this person
will will take him in and then he

(17:38):
just He just completely endorse and forgets it.
And then get shot first his troubles. And
then he wants his character back. You make
these decisions, and then you want your guy
to still be alive,
No, sir. Yeah. No, sir. No, sir. Yeah.
Yeah in Paul Cthulhu, he should just be
straight up dead. But Yeah. Call of Cthulhu
is 1 of the... It's not as bad

(18:00):
as, like, original edition dungeons and dragons, But,
like, you should be prepared to burn through.
Like, it's it's like what is the War
hammer tabletop tops where you play as, like
the basic, like human soldiers
and
you're just expected to go through character sheets
like mad because that's the world. By the
end of a campaign and

(18:21):
didn't call cthulhu with either expected that your
character is dead or in an insane asylum.
Yeah. Those are your 2 options. Yeah. That's
the happily ever after.
Yeah.
The happily ever after is that you got
there by, you know, avert the
elder God summon or whatever Yeah. Right. But
if freddie for whatever reason, seems to be

(18:42):
on the fast track to just killing his
character. Like,
What was it the first episode or the
second episode he gets into a car accident
loses like half of his health? Yeah. Like
it Troy.
Again, by choice Yeah gives himself a major
wound, which means he doesn't recover Hp. Mh.
Yeah. By choice.
Again, an optional accident, an accident that he

(19:02):
talked himself into. Which How many... Like, how
much Hp does he have now? Not Total
his total was 14.
Yeah. That is that is his max.
Right now, he probably has maybe ie e
health point. He has a... He has a
senior your other luck point that's standing in
for health. That's all he's got.
Gosh just 1. Yeah. He is... He's a

(19:25):
man who's running on lot. He doesn't have
a full Hp.
Although I really do like this dynamic
that when a character dies before the the
character death, we we do get that... This
is your life recap. And the other players
just get to, like, rip shreds. Yeah. Just
get your life. The fucking
most

(19:45):
bat shit stuff I've probably heard out of
this podcast. In a while
because there were
double father thing was very funny.
Was.
And they
Yeah. I I just...
And and again, Beth may coming in as

(20:05):
the cat who talk.
Their switch off at Ellis Island was so
good. He's like the switch from the cat
being
x.
The cat being beth do it being Freddie.
Yeah. Because, like, the... The the cat takes
over Tony's identity.
And then comes into America is Tony Solo,
like...

(20:26):
And that's a star wars reference. Right?
Yes.
Because in this Solo movie a Han Solo
movie. It is canonical
that
as Han Solo... No At that point he
just Han is a escaping
the syndicate that is after him on this
planet. He
gets out by joining
the galactic empires off army effectively, and he

(20:48):
goes in...
My name is just Hahn. My name just
Hahn. And the guy just looks at him
looks him up and down and he's like,
okay. Hahn Army solo low because he's by
himself. If he had a friend, it would
have been a han in front
duo. Yes. But his friend that was with
him left him, to go back with v
syndicate or whatever. My deep dark star wars

(21:09):
shame is that,
I know it's Han. I I will type
it out as Han space Solo, but I
still think of him as Hans. Like, if
I want to just like ref it as
sisters,
Hans.
Hans Solo,
That's a better name than Han Solo.
Yeah.
So... Yep.

(21:31):
Yeah. So
Freddie
tried his best to get Tony cole collect,
killed,
succeeded probably 4 times by the grace of
the Dm, still alive. And then,
yeah, he he ended the episode by being
shot. Yeah. Yeah. Well, the all the cat,
like, all of his, like... Life flashing before
his eye stuff. That was all in episode
6. Yes. Yes. And

(21:54):
that is all happening as he's
ejected he... So he loses
most of his luck. He's down to 1
lock. He is ejected from his car lands
onto a hospital Gu gets
slid into the to our operating room. By
the force of the Gu moving, and I
think he ends up, like, right onto a

(22:15):
surgery table because all of his luck is
now gone. Yeah.
At Matt Anthony,
who having learned that he wasn't a veteran
of the war He was just a resident
of Dew,
work for the mob, and and, yeah, though,
like, just... Just the worst or the worst,

(22:35):
I guess.
That's in Germany.
Anyway, so he he then... And then he
beats his parents,
you know, his 2 dads in the operating
room, and they try to kill him and
he lives.
Again,
but they'd give him a marble and he
choke on it and then recovers because the
bit, mh.

(22:57):
Then, I guess he tries to reunite with
the rest of the party? Yeah. He so
he it was Matt going to see... You
went to a taco county. Oh, he did
talk to tony. You went the Tony. Doctor.
Put a cigarette and burnt the burnt the
Tony's cheek with the cigarette.
Right.
Picture going to punch someone. Learn no. Francis

(23:18):
get your gun.
Yeah. Yeah. Trudy and Francis go off to,
I guess,
kill some mobs or something. And not sure
what their entire plan is, but they got
fist set a gun, which... I mean, that's
not that far off for what you have
at some points in Cough Cthulhu. I mean,
although taking a step back, they just really

(23:38):
struck out on the timing of this because
what they said they recorded this a month
ago right after the political debate. So they
got it got really topical political in a
way that is really great, you know, kind
of a month on from the debates, and
will only improve with age according to my
prediction, and in another move that will only
improve with age They gave it an unstable

(23:59):
teenage boy, a sniper rifle and told them
to go nuts. Yeah. I don't see any
problem that. See any wrong with that.
I I mean,
I don't know.
You know, I I just I just think
gun controls is an issue that,
you know, kinda catches your ear if you're
not careful.

(24:25):
And then that was the the double so
of
what we listen to? I agree.
Like, do we have an ad for this?
Out my new dick Tracy.
Make tail. Far ready for friend and caps.

(24:45):
They go in here see. That's not all.
That shoots water too, water.
Shoots about 30 feet.
Single shot and math tired.
You can fire about 30 times before reloading.
Yeah. Tommy. Here's we've put the water.
See that toilet over there.
Hey tommy
forever ever the shoots caps and water too.

(25:09):
Or if you want in shoots kids caps
of just water. I know. You know.
I got what?
Why didn't you tell me? What
commercial
Gut mattel new dick tracy power jet gun
complete with target, whatever toys are sold.
You can judge Macau.

(25:29):
Wow. It's
What are we doing? Would we come back?
We didn't think about that. Do we have...
Okay. So that... What... We have that 1
comment that I don't think we talked about.
Right? The 1 the from 06:25 that you
posted.
Let's see. For the zombie apocalypse question, I
think Beth could do good along with Freddie.

(25:51):
Matt and Anthony would that Perish quickly hard
agree.
Yeah. Yeah. I agree with that. Although,
Matt has,
a wife and and at least 1 child
to protect. Right? Which means that, like, you
view that as like, Oh, yeah. You'd probably
go down first. Yeah. Like, I'm sorry, but
I I realized that so my you know,

(26:13):
my survival chances
dropped pre as soon as I had to,
like, you know, worry about bringing baby food
in diapers.
Yeah. That's fair. Curse
that and sexual love of another creature.
Yeah.
Says the person has a girlfriend now.

(26:33):
Yeah. I don't know how that happens. But
I don't know either. There's what episode of
recording then you didn't have a girlfriend and
the the next step episode you're like, hey,
I've got a girlfriend like, oh, okay.
Congrats says Like, I I kinda wanna know
the story there because I am half convinced
that, like,
she put, like a Ad pod P 3
or something like, a bit of swag under

(26:55):
a box with, like, the the twin popping
it up and at a piece string I'd
like to stood outside your window with a
boom box and it was just playing Mad
pod.
Am I so comfortable.
I mean, yeah. Wait something of that are
animal crossing beyond.
Yeah. I think I like Pokemon as much

(27:16):
as either of those things.
She... We work together, actually. She is a
coworker.
But in it's a completely different department, so
we don't work with... Don't work together together.
You work on the same. We sure in
the same building. I think so. Oh, okay.
Yeah. I make coffee, and she sells cheese.

(27:37):
So... Okay. Oh, you said I'd I'd I
remember catching that, but like, I thought that
like, I must have completely missed that, like,
the cheese counter you were referring to was
your stores cheese counter not, like, a cheese
counter because in New York, They have cheese
stores. Yeah.
So, yeah. I do coffee, and 8 08:00
in the morning was when my little counter

(27:59):
opened. I opened it, and she'd come in
at 8, and I'd make her coffee and
her and our mutual friend Brian would stand
there and talk about Shit. Oh, yeah. She
eventually invited me to play magic the gathering
with them? Oh, no.
Yeah. It over.
That is...
Yeah. Yeah. Yank the string

(28:20):
box falls. We work with other nerds, and
apparently, there is a crew of magic the
gathering
people at and they all go on Thursdays
to an external location and play magic. There's
a gathering of magic people. Yeah magic of
the gathering of people. Yes. So a gathering
a magic. Did you invited me to that
and
III

(28:41):
don't know if you guys know this, but
I'm clueless about this kind of thing.
So...
Oh, boy. Several months later.
At this point, like, we went... Like, she
we kept doing the weekly magic things. And
occasionally, we would just be us. And then
it would be like, oh, we should go
to the holiday market and oh, let's go

(29:02):
see a movie together. And oh, come over
to my house. And wants Ghibli movies on
the couch and, like, and Eventually, I kinda
put together, and I did put it into
the Ad to discord. I was like, hey,
is this girl like me?
Yeah. It's usually how that goes.
At least at least you asked and just,
like, didn't just like, ignore it and be

(29:23):
like, yeah, she doesn't like There's no way.
There is... There are, like, tumblr memes about
this. They exist. Yeah. Hit me.
I mean, feel like most people. Most people
on this podcast
even like
Yeah. Then ad headquarters like, yeah.

(29:44):
Yeah. She like you.
Exactly.
And then, like, next time, we'd we'd been
playing Mario kart together. On the phone. And
she was like, yeah, there's so many people
who... Because, like, the place that we work.
A lot of people end up coupling up
is odd. The the proximity.
Yeah the proximity. I mean stress of at

(30:05):
all. Yeah. Coworkers.
Coupling up isn't that odd, whether or not
the workplace, like, allows it is a different
thing. And whether not you guys fault truth
is another another thing, but whatever.
Don't matter in this case. Now if we're
we're... Our departments are separate or not. So
But, yeah, eventually, we were just talking after
Mario kart, and it was like, oh, is

(30:27):
that what you're trying to do here.
He's like, yes. I was like, oh.
I did have to ask 3000 on my
closest friends. But
Oh, okay. So yeah. It was it was
mad pod official before. It was official official.
It was. And then I got to be
in the ned. And I was like, hey,
guys. You were right, and they all love

(30:48):
us now. Now. Yay.
And that's why I have a girlfriend.
No
that's why have go.
You you you weren't corded. You were domesticated.

(31:09):
Yeah. The way you said that was, like,
yeah. That's how I got Covid.
Like she tamed you.
It was not my idea. This happened Is
not. It's not a bad way to go
honestly.
I'm having fun, so... Drew. Yeah. That's, you

(31:29):
know? That's kind of all you could really
ask for. Yeah. Yeah.
Like, my my personal opinion is that, like,
the relationships that I think tend to be
the strongest are the ones that are like,
rooted in friendship because it's like, yeah, Romance
kinda sometimes comes and goes, but you need
friendship always. Yeah. Now we have this whole
podcast to talk about. So

(31:51):
Oh yeah.
Yeah. You finally forced listen to a thing
that you're into you, and now you asked
have something to to talk about, Have been
matching it gathering. And, we don't even really
play magic anymore to be honest with you.
That's for the past. Yeah. It... I... The
the only thing that I hear more about
people playing magic is people complaining about magic.

(32:13):
Mh. Yeah. It would to me if it
was very... It's very casual.
Far as still playing magic go. It's mostly
just time to sit down and, like, top
Yeah. To our coworkers workers outside of a
work setting. Which is very nice. Yeah. That's
reasonable.
We're from a few different places at this
point because people have, like, gotten hired at
other places, but we're still going to the

(32:33):
magic group kind of thing. So it's like
catching up. We don't... Get to do it
very often. But when we do, it's like,
I don't wanna play cards. I Yeah. You
just wanna hang out. That's I hang adult
friendships right there. I'm I'm more
more... I would rather just sit there with
Some yarn and make a thing while they

(32:53):
like. Yeah or whatever. The cards are stressful.
They don't tell you that about magic. It's
very stressful
See. Yeah. I'm... I'm used to, like, I
grew up playing regular card games, like regular
52 card deck,
games.
And like, once you reach a certain point,
you know, like, they are things that you

(33:16):
can play and not talk about the game
at all. But you just kind of like
playing into on auto autopilot so that way
awkward silence aren't quite so awkward. Yeah. That's...
I mean, that's like, how
and my friends, like, became friends in college
or just by doing that with, like board
games and stuff. Yeah. Where we just... We
we started playing board games together, and then
we started talking ball playing the board game

(33:38):
about all these stuff other than the board
games because we'd played those board games a
lot. Like, there's 1 board game ascension. It's
just it's it's deck building card game that
we played so much that we didn't need
to discuss what we were doing. We all
knew the cards. We all knew every single
car did and how they interact with each
other. So there was no conversation about the

(34:00):
game at all ever.
Yeah. But It was just playing cars picking
up stuff, and that's it and talking about,
you know, whatever. Yeah. But I mean, yeah.
Like, that's that's the thing... In high school
in college, I always used to carry a
deck cards on me, and I knew a
whole bunch of people who did. And so
it's like Spade and Yu, and all that.
Like, I new people like that college. And

(34:21):
and, like, it didn't matter, like, you saw
3 people play in Yu. You could see
it from across the room and you'd be
like, you need a fourth and they're like,
yeah. And deal me a next go round.
And, like, the conversation,
for people who know those games really well.
The only time you talk about cards is
when you're deciding what to play next. Mh.
So, yeah. No. I I like it, but
I I don't I don't have, like, you

(34:42):
know, folks down here. I'd totally be down
for, like, some crib or... Some you, you
know, some of that. I miss it. My
kids don't play.
I don't like card games. I don't know
what it is. I feel like maybe I
have some, like, childhood Trauma over Uno or
something. But probably That's a possibility. Yeah. I
mean. Like, the combination of, like, because we

(35:02):
had a bunch of Yu cards in Pokemon
cars as children. Mh. And just being, like,
Pokemon is a completely different game, really. It's...
Ridiculous in what we were playing because we're
were just like, I'm gonna put out whatever
I wanted to attack with it.
Oh, because we. We didn't follow the rules.
But yeah. Andrew system was not I don't
I don't know what do I need energy
systems for those stupid card with a water

(35:24):
droplet on it. I'm not that doesn't Waste
bucket space. It was it was always like
coolest card wins. I Yeah. Essentially.
And then
You gear, like, at least you, like, the
monster attacks and a trap card happens. Like,
we could figure that that much out, just
like, looking at what card said. But again,
it was just, like, we are 10. So

(35:46):
yeah. Right. He played it like you saw
in the cartoon. Right. And then video games,
and we played a lot of video games.
And now, like, the magic, the gathering of
it all is was kinda, like, Oh,
Yeah. I I don't like ka because it
always feels like, no matter what you do.
Your fate is determined. When you shuffle the
deck. You know? Like.

(36:07):
It's only gonna give you 1 land, and
you're just gonna have a bad afternoon, and
that's not your fault. You can't do anything
about that.
Yeah. I mean... So then you're just there
for 2 hours watching your friends play around
you. That's your well, don't I don't do
anything
because I don't hear any land.
I mean, we honestly, in the long run,
you're better off because you're gonna save a

(36:28):
ton of money not playing Magic Right? Yeah.
Somehow I have 3 decks, and
that's that's also why. It was literally be
with... I don't even remember the fucking name
of the car game. It was the Disney
card game that came out of the beginning
of... Or the end of last year, and
my 1 friend wanted me to play or
she had somebody to play with, and I
have 2 decks and a just a ton

(36:48):
of singles.
And was a Disney card game? Yeah.
Shit shit. Our lo connor. It was called
Lo. Yeah.
Yeah. There's an advertisement for that in our
game show that we play out. Thank god,
my my wife doesn't know about that. It's...
It's interesting. That all the cards are Disney
characters and stuff and locations and there's song

(37:11):
cards, so... But you can make your characters
sing the songs a do different effects all
it's other shit. But
the problem with it that I just got
completely dis interested with is that they're are
coming out with new sets every,
like,
3 or 4 months. Oh And the stuff
in the new sets was
miles better than the stuff that was in
the previous sets. Oh, so they're like, speed

(37:33):
grinding Yu.
Yeah. Pretty much. I I... They're probably on...
They... They must be on their third or
4 set by now. Isn't isn't like magic
the gathering on 6 month or, like, yearly
rotations?
Yeah something like that. Yeah.
Yeah. They keep spitting And, like, they're spitting
out a lot of cards that are, like,
tied into other properties. Yeah. Yeah. I mentioned

(37:54):
of the gathering has ton a crossover cards.
Like, I have a I have a bunch
of the stuff from the Godzilla. Officer they
did. 1 of my decks is a doctor
who they just did fallout and doctor Who
and, yeah. They didn't. How's that how's is
that going? I haven't bought any new cards.
Because they cost, like, the ones that I
got, right now are probably like, a hundred
dollars of cards and, like, the these were
the cheap ones. Yeah. Yeah. The the the

(38:16):
rest of them were, like, 20 bucks each
or more. The most costly 1? I think
it was a king door card. And it
was, like, 55 dollars the last time I
looked at it. Yeah. So I haven't gone
back to buy any more of them yet.
I will, eventually because I would like to
have all of them.
I just need to keep my eye on
the price, which I haven't checked in a
while, but I, yeah. I probably should. I'm
lucky on the doctor who front because they

(38:38):
only put out, like, the sets themselves so,
like, you either have to spend 6 dollars
or you don't spend any money. There's not
like booster packs or anything. Mh. So I
got the 1 classic doctor Who said and
way, okay. I'm okay. I've done a year.
The deal with the
the Godzilla cards, I believe was that they
were topper

(38:59):
for every like booster box. So there is
only 1 of them in the entire box
of cards. And, like, you know, you're, you
think you go. Booster box not like, has
30 or 40 packs of boosters, and there's
only 1 of these cars in there, that's
just separate from everything else. Yeah So they're
they're pretty they're pretty rare.
And, obviously, yes, some people want the other

(39:20):
ones.
Like the King door won't. I I assume
that the King 1 is a replacement for
a card that by itself is already powerful.
So that's probably why its price is higher.
But I don't know Mt g, so I
don't know. Carla School, though, so I wanna
get it eventually. K. I am saving my
pennies right now. So... Because... Oh, yeah. I

(39:41):
I guess. I'll I'll share this with the
world. I I said I wouldn't talk about
it because it's super do.
It's it's it's not quite magic the gathering
Do. It's it's in a different direction. Mh.
I'm like nervous. What's happening? Because I got
back into
playing
the Bar horn the fo.

(40:03):
Because my kids,
they, like my oldest, he gets music therapy
and is learning the Ukulele. The the middle
kid is in voice lessons.
And the youngest just wants to do everything.
Right. So I figured neither of the boys,
the older boys who are in lessons actually,
like, want to practice,
I also realized that they don't see anyone

(40:25):
practice, like, in movies, there's no real, like
practices. If it shows up, it's a practice
montage,
but, like... Yeah. Right. It's it's about want
to get bad enough. So, like, if you
watch kids media these days, my primary criticism
is it's about... People who are already good
at something and they succeed because they want
it bad enough or they learn a lesson,

(40:47):
not because they put in the hard work.
You know, the hard work is over by
the time the movie start. And so I
I also realized that, like, the kids... All
of by hobbies, they don't see Me say
either practiced in the past, and I'm okay
at it now or the practice is invisible
because it's like, you know, when you learn
a new programming language it's

(41:08):
indistinguishable from browsing the web to an external
observer. Yeah.
And, you know, so it's like, I needed
something to be very visibly bad at. And
so I picked up few. Medium is perfect
for that. It is it is loud and
very bad.
So right now, I'm renting AAA student horn,
and the agreement that I have with, like,

(41:30):
you know, myself and my wife as well
because, you know, it's like I don't wanna
go out and spend 2 grand on something
that I'm just gonna, like, keep in the
closet somewhere. Yeah. Right. Is that if I'm
still
and and n around and having fun with
it come December. I will buy, like, a
used Yamaha,
which, you know, it's it which, you know,

(41:50):
if you're into, like, eu phonemes, it's like,
that's kind of like, the... I guess, like,
the best amateur level. Like, that's what you
wanna show up to, like, your local concert
bandwidth, but, you know, the pros will lafayette
you off the stage of if you have
it. So
Right. Yeah. I thought a few times
Since getting out of college if I want
it, like, find and pick up a a

(42:12):
at Alto Sa or a Bar Sa again.
Because III played in my school band on
high school or... Well, since middle school through
high school, and I played in my school
band and did some jazz band too, and
it's just something I haven't done in
12 years.
Yeah.
Well,
I but, like, it's something I something I

(42:32):
also, like, I kinda wanna pick up again,
and I, like, I like, I don't know
for sure because I haven't touched. A Sa
phone in 12 years, but I feel like
after having played it for a so long,
I could pick it up pretty quickly again.
I just have that vibe, and I be
fun. But, like,
expensive Y? No. It's it's. It's actually not.
So I'm on a student horn.

(42:52):
And so I went through a rental place.
And III ordered online. It was, like, create
an account, pick out the instrument you want.
Pick the music store, and it showed up
at the music. Store a week later, and
the eu fo, you know, the Bar tone
horn is 1 of the most expensive student
level instruments you can rent. If I wanted
to get, like Trumpet, it would be, like,

(43:13):
22 bucks. A t bone would be 22
bucks. I think like.
Sachs would be 30 bucks per month. The
eu is 55 bucks per month. Whoa. And
which is which is pricey, but it's not
too grand. It's not... I. It's not peri
huge. So yeah. Price for a child to
play it for 6 months and decide they'd

(43:33):
never want to go a band practice again.
And it's very clear that that's what happened
with this horn because it's like, it's a
little bit beat up, it has dings. And
this is also, like, a rent to own
agreement, and I don't really like the horn
and it's not in the best condition, but
even if it was brand new, it's not
a horn that I'm, like, clicking with. Right.
But yeah. I mean, I guess it makes

(43:54):
sense that they've come up with these systems
because, like, back when I was in middle
school, you either, like, they had like, a
june uniform, like, a, you,
you know, what instrument it had an instrument,
like, fair. Yeah. That showed up to the
middle school and, like, no. You had to
purchase it from this very specific,
but distributor, and you either bought it or
you didn't,

(44:15):
you know? So I'm I'm going through,
Ver
instrument rentals. I I don't know if that's,
like, a Florida thing or if it if
it's nationwide. They're based out of town just
a proper hey Googled and in my my
town, and there's
There's a music store literally
down the street from me. I can walk
there in less than 2 minutes. Oh, yeah.

(44:36):
To not they. Knock on their door. They're
probably they're probably not open right now. But,
yeah, it looks like they do rentals through
some website. So, yeah, the thing I could
do. Yeah. I'm I'm having fun with it.
And like I said, save in my pennies
because I'm probably gonna buy use Yamaha a
horn that, that it's the same 1 that
I've had my eye since, like, high school.

(44:58):
That's fun and awesome. Yeah. Yeah. I'm like...
So... I'm having the, like, the dumb thought
of how much would it be to rent
Mori?
Because unfortunately, I was in precaution and the
only, like,
1 that's fun to play alone in per
is the keyboard stuff. And, I'm like, I
have a keyboard. It's in the closet. But

(45:20):
that's like a Piano o. And... Yeah. Yeah.
Oh,
wow. Okay.
III just googled it mori rental dot com.
It's
reactive height adjustable synthetic bars. Yeah. 35 a
month. Really?
Yeah. Fuck we gonna put that?
That and, I'm sure your neighbors are gonna
love it. I mean, exactly like, the sound

(45:41):
of Mori,
and as far as like... It's that like
the worst sound that you could hear. It's
better than the fire trucks outside, You know?
It's like It's it's not a amazing ruining
a sa, at fuck 6PM.
It's not like a violin gets preach or
a horn that gets hon. It's like, no
matter what you do to it. The worse
you're gonna do is hit, like, a dis

(46:02):
note. There's there's no playing it wrong. You
know? Yeah. Yeah. If you wanted, like, you
could go all the way up to... Or
3 octave
vi phone for 60 a month or a
5 octave high adjustable graduated wood bars 02:25
a month. But so, I'm guessing that's what
you were probably thinking. But 5 all that's
where with that 5 octave. That's 5 boxes.

(46:24):
I can like... I don't live with my
apartment. A, doesn't have a freight elevator. It
doesn't have a human.
Yeah.
Oh boy. That the 5 acts of Mori
is a logistical problem. Month.
Oh, and they have
do have? You have friends and they can
help carry upstairs. Yeah. And you will pay
them in soup Ed smooth dogs. It's on

(46:44):
wheels. They got they got our arms they
can lift. Oh, what? It was the problem.
Mh. Imagine the clan of its trying to
get around the corners of the stair well.
Just being like,
Then it lives in a living room for
a month and I don't touch it. That...
That's the other reason why I'm doing a

(47:05):
student rental because Yes. I know I'm throwing
55 bucks a month away. But better than
spending
thousands of dollars and I think Right. Live
in the closet, like my piano do. Yeah.
The the gamble is, you know, if I
use it for 4 months and return it,
that's 200 bucks. To not have it. Or

(47:25):
you know, it's like that... That's to me
is worth a couple hundred bucks to to
know if I'm if I'm getting back in
the game or not. Yeah. And and the
other thing is that for me, I don't
enjoy
performing
with a band.
The concerts were like a means to an
end. Like, I just I just didn't like
being on stage. Yeah. No. That was That

(47:45):
was definitely me when we're doing concerts. Yeah
I never had a problem with it.
Right. I I mean, I I loved marching
band, but being on that field for that
that 15 minutes where it mattered, least favorite
15 minutes of
the entire evening of hanging out with friends
and go places

(48:06):
you know, doing things. Yeah. You know, the
stress wasn't worth it to me. Yeah. I
you for feeling it. I do wanna say
that, like, after getting back to it, like,
It is a lot of fun. Mh. I
am better and worse in different ways than
than I remember. Like, yeah, by my shot
and so I have no stamina and knife.
But a lot of the muscle memory is

(48:27):
still there. Yeah. That's kind of how I
figured be. Yeah. I totally get the stories
about how, like, someone with, like, alzheimer's or
dementia or whatever. They're in, like, the late
stages and they don't even know who they
are, but you put them in front of
a Piano with sheet music, and it all
comes back to them. It's like, am I
getting old? Because I had 1 of those
moments

(48:47):
when I pulled up, like exercises that I
was familiar with. And even though I couldn't
play have to know. It's like I couldn't
get sound to come out, like, everything else
was still there. I still know all my
scales. Sure do.
I
never memorized my scales
because I would
I would transpose

(49:08):
on the fly. All I had to know
was the key signature, and then I would
just pick the starting note and then I'd
run up and down. That was how I
did scales. I don't know. I never had
to transpose
a thing in my life. I just like
memorizing the scales. So... Yeah. I like being
able to walk up to the fan being.

(49:29):
Like, I know what this key is.
Yeah. Yeah. Well, I mean, I I probably
played
5 or 6 instruments in in a high
school. And
on the bar part because I sat behind
the French horn players. They always had, like,
really interesting parts. I taught myself how to
play it, but like, 1 or 2 octave

(49:49):
down. So I could read French horn music
and Trumpet music and, you know, those because
it's like, that's where the fun was. That
is where the fun is. I would stand
behind Marin miranda and play my favorite parts
from the band.
If I had a boring ding dong ding
dong, I'd just be like, yeah. Well, I'm
gonna. Play the Melody because I'm bored right
now.

(50:10):
Marin with Melody reporting it.
Oh, we should start a band.
Not does Emma is Emma Band? I don't

(50:33):
think Emma is.
I don't think she is. Or I think
they?
So I don't remember it... It must have
come up at some point what she plays,
but I do not...
No You're sa.
I'm Sa phone. Yes. Yeah. I'm also Sa.
That's a possibility.
But that honestly kinda feels right. Yeah. I

(50:53):
mean,
unfortunately, it's like Emma's, hard to like nail
down where it's like, I don't know. But
my first gut instinct, Is
Cla it. Looks like Cla. Right? Yeah. That's
where It goes.
Cla.
Energy.
Sa. Sa phone energy with a bit of
trumpet. Like, Trumpet would be
surprising me. Very true. Alright.

(51:15):
Phantom plug.
After we're done being fans of music. Yeah.
Sure. Yeah. Sure. Moving on to our Fend
plug where we try to convince you that
we're not do
about to awkward.
See. If you're having trouble I can go.
Yeah. Go. Go. So my fan plug for

(51:37):
this week is the aco light on Disney
plus.
I was... I I so sorry. I literally
just finished shit tonight.
I I was to burn it up yesterday.
Well, okay.
I... So that's why It was torn because,
like, of the
Disney
Star Wars television shows,

(51:59):
Like Aqua life isn't like top 5 for
me even.
It's not like
stellar,
but it was
Good enough at what it was trying to
do. The the story is very straightforward and
honestly kinda simple. Like, you can kinda see
everything coming from a mile away, but it's
fun enough, and the fight scenes are fucking
baller.

(52:19):
And
man just manny Ja as
evil sith dude is fucking amazing.
Yes. Yes. III liked I liked his casting.
I absolutely loved when... Oh, we don't care
about spoilers. When the Ky crystal
p red, like, that was something that we'd
only read about, which I thought was amazing

(52:41):
because that was a change in Canon actually.
It wasn't until Disney took over. It used
to be that, like, when you were a
Jedi knight, you would get green or blue
and when you were
this, you would get yellow. It was like
a badge of rank. But Yeah. They were,
like, your jobs, basically.
New canon is

(53:01):
that first of all,
crystals are invisible in their natural habitat. And
so when 1 presents itself to you, it's
probably going to be that color, but kind
of like it's also implied that the color
is your personality coming out Like there's there
was such a great scene in the So
book where she took a red crystal and

(53:21):
cleansed it and turned it white through her
balanced
non jedi ness. It... Like, if she'd still
been jedi, it would have come out like
blue or green. Yeah. But she's like in
the middle. Yeah. And and, like, previously, Star
Wars canon and red crystals were synthetic.
Because they were
unnatural. Mh.
I I love this new canon, and that
scene where it bled red, and then she

(53:43):
hit the button and it came out blue
and then demand return all red. Yeah. It's
fucking cool. Yeah. It's very cool. So that's
why I was struggling because I was about
to say, the aco light, but I'm I'm
on the fence because it's like, it took
a while to get good, but when it
got good, it got really good. I mean,
by literally,
res sub Disney plus yesterday and bitch through

(54:05):
the show between yesterday and today. Right. So
as somebody that watched it over a single
day time period, I thought it it's pretty
damn good all the way through. This relatively
simple story, great, you know, action scenes. So
very good casting kind of all around honestly.
Disappointed that the people that I cast. Like,
they were good at their characters, but they

(54:25):
got fucking killed it off so soon and
they were, like, wasted
potential with a lot of those characters. The
other problem I had is that it it
was kind of like a wish dot com
cast. Where, like, you know, kind of the
the green chick was, like, sorry, we couldn't
get Carrie Gill. You could see that, like,
the author had that and, like, for the
soul character. They were like, sorry. We couldn't

(54:47):
get down again. You know, It it was
just like, I I spent the first couple
episodes
wishing that there had been a better actor
in that role. And then I got to
a couple of episodes, and I just kinda
wish that there was this better script writer.
Yeah. I yeah. Like, I looked that... I
looked at her pass works and her, like,
like, past director and writer stuff. And yeah.

(55:09):
It's not a It's a it's kind of
interesting that, like,
from her past stuff that she ended up
directing a Star Wars show. Because like, But
her first her first director and Writer credit
was on Bride.
I I'm not gonna say 10. Unfortunately, like,
it's the first star wars show that I've
gotten, like, strong, like Disney channel movie vibes

(55:31):
from. Yeah. I can see that. Like, there
are... Yeah. They're definitely points in the show
that it feels like you're watching a teen
drama. Yeah. Or, like, you're, like, this could
be
gl or
I was like, high high school musical, and
I wouldn't bat an eye I if somebody
told me that. Yeah. Like the which is
got into song. Yeah. Yeah. But then 2

(55:51):
episodes later, Manny Ja is fucking murdering people
in cold blood and stabbing pat in the
chest 6 times, like Yeah. Holy fucked dude.
This goes so on me.
Yeah. Yeah. It took a while to get
good. And and so that's 1 of the
other problems is that, like, it when you
binge a series, you don't notice the filler

(56:12):
episodes. But when all you get for a
week is a filler episode you go.
I was a part of the show. I
gotta... Now I gotta go and wait another
week until a good have a episode comes
out or. Yeah. But but, like, I.
You know, at the end, you know, like,
seeing
Darth sidious. So it's like, I hope it
gets a follow up series because it's like

(56:32):
we're about to get the tail of of
Darth Plague the lies,
you know, because that's not a tale that
you'd hear from a Jedi. Yeah. I I
hope I I definitely hope they get at
least, you know, another season to tell tell
more story because,
sith sith Star Wars show, a Sith, like,
story, any Star Wars story on Tv or
movie. That's not something really get often. We're

(56:55):
always really focused on the Jedi, and
I'm glad that this is a sith story
through and through, and the Jedi that are
being betrayed are, you know, corrupt. Yeah. Like,
very clearly corrupt people instead of you know,
the goody 2 shoes space cops that we...
That's that's 1 of the points that, like,
people point out in

(57:16):
pre cool redemption narratives.
Like, you know, that episodes 1 through 3
is supposed to demonstrate that, like, no. The
Jedi... There are individual Jedi eyes that are,
like, the heroes of the story, but, like,
Jedi eyes are not the heroes of the
story. Yeah. No. I mean, yeah. I mean
just very clear with Anakin alone, but
Yeah. It's just... It's nice to have a

(57:38):
piece of Star wars media, it makes that
very, very clear, like, the jedi can do
bad things.
Yeah. So
Let's see.
That's that's about real
the only new media. Oh, I got. I
got 1. That... Oh, okay. Okay. I got
1.
So I went back and
re rewatch

(57:59):
12 angry men with my wife. Oh damn.
Alright. The the old sixties 1, not the
nineties which is so so, but like, I
think that's the only 1 I've seen. It
is a fantastic film. It's in black and
white,
and it's based off of a stage play.
And if the the beginning and end scenes
were not there, it would entirely be a

(58:21):
bottle episode movie. All of the plot happens
in a jury liberation room. Yeah. And it's
it's amazing.
But at the end, it's like, you don't
actually know if the kid was guilty about.
So it's it's it's fascinating to watch the
characters interact fascinating to watch, like, a leader
emerge from a group of random, you know,

(58:42):
12 angry men. And it's also 1 of
those movies that if you're feeling down about
the government? And it's like, well, you know,
what did people see in the the you
know, the government and the constitution in the
first place, and it's like 1 of those
is the right to a trial by your
peers. And that's that's a film that really

(59:04):
restores faith in in that portion of the
institution. I don't know. It's like a despair
antidote. If you're feeling us in this house
where it's like, it's tough to feel good
about the current state of things.
It's a good reminder that there are good
parts worth
worth saving. Damn.
Get fucking real. Yeah. Yeah

(59:25):
I also like the eu toot toot toot.
I didn't. Did you find a podcast in
your list yet? I see you've rolled 4
times. None of them are good.
The first 1 is the land murders which
is like a musical podcast by the people
who did the fall the house of sunshine.
Which I only listened to because the editor

(59:46):
Redundant Daddy's recommended in and I don't like
it.
It's kinda long convoluted and loud.
What what was the other 1 The other
1 was
I, was voice to the stars, which is,
like, a improvised podcast with a bunch of
La comedian.
Okay. Didn't you talk about that in the
past? Might Feel like you did. Yeah. Possible.

(01:00:08):
It's like, it gives, like mission to Z,
but worse, I guess. God that I've love
here listen to Mist to Z, but
people like that 1. So I guess what
saying. Yeah. And then
what I 100
flat was just
Oh, City of Ghosts, which I don't really
even remember. It unless... It's, like, 6 episodes

(01:00:29):
long and 10. Yeah. 10 episodes long and
that's it. Listen to it in a day.
I mean, it's like a story of somebody
in New york going kinda crazy or something
you can't really tell if they're going insane
or if there's actually, like, a ghost you're
going on or something like that. Again, then
doesn't have a second season. 10 episodes of
something. You're really looking to send and listen
to. And then what's the other 1? 0,

(01:00:51):
the seventeenth podcast that I started listen to
inside I with Paul Material, which is a
show by the late shows warm up comedian
who is very good at his job and
he's very good at doing warm up stuff,
and he's good at talking with people. And
he has better guess than he should have
because he has access to everybody who's been
on the late show essentially. Right.

(01:01:13):
That's cool. It is cool. There's a lot
of interesting people having time to sit down
and talk to this 1 random guy, but
again, it's kinda like, not something I generally
be like, hey, you have to listen to
this guy.
Yeah. Yeah. I mean, just just run through
your your podcast listing and see if there's
1 we have to listen to.

(01:01:35):
I mean, it is season 3. We we
could we could retire the whole roll up
a podcast thing. I I have a hundred
and 20 of them now. You think something
good would be in here. Lately, I've just
been re listening to the thrilling adventure hour,
like, over and over again. I've just been
putting on the... Because I I paid for
the Patreon because I do them dearly. They're,

(01:01:57):
like, the third podcast I ever listened to?
No. They're 5. Sorry. They're the fifth podcast
I ever listened to.
They... 1 of the original, like, stage shows
that existed, I've been listening them to... For
9 years now, which is a while.
But
just all of the La comedian out there
who have done a stage show for years

(01:02:19):
and years, and then they stopped doing the
stage show. And they kinda came back to
during the pandemic for charity streams to raise
money for food banks and stuff and tell
yeah. If you pay for their patreon, they
give you completion of everything what they've ever
done on stage just stuck together with no
ads, so you can just listen to it
altogether, which is wonderful and great and worth

(01:02:39):
5 dollars And so I've been listening to
all of the sparks Nevada, Martial on Mars
lately, like, all day today I was seeing
the valid of Ka gym to myself. My...
The the problem, like, the reason I never
got into thrilling adventure hour is
because the audio mix was... Too bad, and
I couldn't listen to it in the car.

(01:02:59):
They quiet part can't. Yeah.
Because it's a recording with Stage show and
they really... They never sat down and made
it really. It sounds like a bad show,
but, like, what exists of it? Like,
I don't know, man. I don't know, man.
You gotta listen to
Yeah gotta listen. You just gotta listen to.
I really tried it because, like, I like

(01:03:19):
a lot of the people who were on
it. Yeah. And I like them in other
things.
Yeah. Sparks in Nevada is just so fun.
It's just like the
take up of a western, but it's in
space and
he's gonna... He has got his robot fist
and... Yeah. And then the, the other big
1 is the Beyond belief, which is paula
Ton and pageant Brewster just on stage fighting

(01:03:40):
ghost for a while.
Being rich and, like, deeply deeply and, like,
a very even I recognize this. As a
fantastic love
with each other and their drape. And
they're the perfect character. Nice if you have
a time and you wanna go through a
giant backlog of product? I mean, I don't
think actually most of it still exists anymore.

(01:04:01):
You have to pay for it to get
it. But Oh, there is a decent sized
backlog just on their public old treasury feed
that I've been subscribed to since 2015.
I do wanna say
that generally if you look hard enough, people
do archive podcast
episodes. Got out of this just. You just
gotta find your way into an archive. Yeah.

(01:04:23):
They've got, like, a hundred episodes on their
free fade. Yep. Like, their highlights and stuff.
But... Yep. I listened to it back on
the old days, I I was listening before
it actually ended and I was catching up
just as it was ending.
I was so sad to learn that this
thing that I just realized I love was
dying.
Oh,
it's okay. And Yep. I've never made it

(01:04:44):
to la to see to show, and they
don't travel anymore. But if there is ever
a throwing of hour show in New York
again. I will be taking time off work.
That is that's a really big gift at
this point. Huge. I mean, they still do
occasional shows. Like, they have a show coming
up. It's just an el el this tiny
little theater in La. The tickets are still

(01:05:05):
available too that I do not have so
I believe I fly across Country true for
a single. But, you know. I... Yeah. I
am still super jealous of, like, the La
podcast scene. It it feels like that. I
I just imagined that, like, You wouldn't be
able to, like, swing a dead cat without
hitting a podcast recording going on in La.

(01:05:27):
Yeah.
Yeah. Pretty much. Whereas here, not too many
local,
and
there's, like 1
public studio,
but it's it's like, it's not public public.
It's 75 bucks an hour public. It's like,
people recording, like ad copy in there. That's
a lot.

(01:05:48):
Yeah.
Yeah.
I'm not Beth me, and she's not here
to send us out. More theme music it
goes here, but.
This podcast was created and produced by a
reborn group of volunteers. Talking suns was mastered
and edited by, Arthur music is madness is
everywhere by lob lo. Grab the next episode

(01:06:09):
in your app of choice or from Nikki
Dot Horse. Next episode, should drop on August
fifth. If you'd like to help us resurrect
robot wives,
consider telling your friends to listen to the
grants, we'd really appreciate it because Nikki won't
stop disappearing. Help.
Did, Do we have a question yet? Nikki

(01:06:31):
is dead.
Actually.
