In almost four decades of clinical practice as a psychotherapist and more recently as a coach and consultant, I have concluded that most people severely underestimate the importance of their subconscious minds in determining their behavior.
You subconscious, which functions much like a computer program, is like the operating system for your life. It sets your default modes of thinking, feeling, and behaving. And when there is a discrepancy between your conscious and subconscious minds, your subconscious is likely to take precedence.
What surprises most of us is that the majority of our subconscious programming was in place by the time we reached the age of six. Not surprisingly, most of us outgrow certain aspects of that programming as we mature and the more analytical parts of our brain become fully developed.
When this happens, we can end up feeling stuck and find ourselves longing to be in the Abundance Zone, but not sure of how to get there.
In this podcast episode, learn about five key indicators you can use to determine if your subconscious programming is in need of an upgrade.
