The numbers on the episodes are still messed up, I’m sorry! Things are starting to get more streamlined as I am starting to build a team to build this project. Thank you for your patience!
This conversation with Christy Bills, who was my mentor over a decade ago in the Entomology Department at the Utah Natural History Museum, was quite emotional for me. She was the mother I always wanted and she has silently cheered me on from the sidelines, always being there for me when I needed her. Christy’s story is similar to mine in many ways, which I actually didn’t know until this interview. She is now the head of the Invertebrates Department at the same museum, and we discuss how just having the gumption to ask for an opportunity could completely change your path in life. She also tells us about how you can participate in citizen science, like her project The Utah Firefly Project and The Western Firefly Project.
If you would like to participate in either of those projects, please find them linked here:

I love Christy with all my heart, and being able to talk to her in such a candid way was wonderful for me. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did.
