They are amazing.

We are at nation.
We shouldn't be, you know, behind in subscribers.
Come on, people.
Okay, so if you are watchinglive, I would love for you to click
on the comments and tell uswhere you're tuning in from.
I know I got some people maybechecking in from athlete development
(01:53):
camp.
I got some people all over the country.
It's going to be awesome.
We are going to go actuallyright now to checking in on how athlete
development camp is going.
We have two amazing members ofthe coaching staff for Team usa.
Let's bring him on in.
(02:15):
Grandmaster Tammy HarveyStauber and Master Lauren Blanks.
How are you ladies today?
We are doing great.
We are here at the 4H centerin Little Rock, Arkansas for the
athlete development training camp.
And Master Blanks.
How's it been?
The temperature is beautiful.
(02:36):
I'm sure.
We are having a fantastic time.
I always consider a blessingto be able to bring some of the top
athletes in for training.
With our farthest athletetraveling all the way from Alaska,
it's the nonstop action withconference combat and traditional
scarring.
And then we have been verymindful to have a whole bunch of
additional fun along the way.
(02:56):
So that's fantastic.
You guys have alreadycompleted some of the.
The trials for the New Year'steam, is that correct?
That's correct.
We've.
We've done all the trials thatwe're going to do here and then there'll
be new team members announcedtomorrow, Sunday, and then there'll
be additional tryouts, I believe.
(03:17):
In Pittsburgh.
In Pittsburgh.
Okay.
Awesome.
And you only do some of theage divisions at this event?
Is that how it is split by ageor is it a number of people on teams
change each time.
It's.
It's all.
All the teams.
Okay, gotcha.
Very cool.
Well, I, I got you guys on forthe show to talk about actually a
(03:40):
totally different subject, so.
But you.
You recruited the entire teamfor the Ladies Empower her seminar.
So let's bring on our other guests.
We've got Senior Master Giles,we've got Senior Master Pavlick,
and we have Master Teavani whois at a special event.
(04:03):
And thanks for tuning in, ma' am.
We are really excited to have you.
So first of all, real quickgo, let's go around.
And I did introductionsalready a little bit, but Grandmaster
Tammy, give us just a littlebit of your background real fast.
Just.
I'm about to start my 53rdyear in ATA.
(04:24):
Got my grandmaster title lastyear in, you know, the year before
that was able to test and, andbecome a ninth degree, so.
And it's just.
It's just great to be.
Great to be back in the ata.
We love it.
Master Blanks, what about you,ma' am?
Yes, sir.
So this makes year 30 for mesince you're black belt.
(04:49):
One midterm away from beingeligible to test for seventh degree.
Still crushing it in Columbus,Ohio with my Taekwondo school.
Super blessed to be here.
This is.
I hadn't noticed this before, but the Empower her seminar team
is a very Ohio centric team.
Well, there's.
There's something coming outof Ohio these days.
(05:12):
Master Tavani, what about you,ma' am?
Yeah, I'm so excited to teachthe seminar.
It's going to be great.
And I've just been, you know,I'm excited to start my new location
and holding it down inPittsburgh, Pennsylvania as always.
Excellent.
Ready to make.
Hi, everybody.
I am also in Columbus, Ohio.
Master Blanks and I get to getto see each other relatively often.
(05:34):
Master Giovanni, we see eachother in region.
This is year 37 for me in theATA, and so I am also one midterm
away from hopefully beingeligible to test for eighth degree,
hopefully in the next year or so.
So still training hard andbeing ready for that.
Excellent, Master Giles.
Well, I've been doing ATAsince I was 4, so to see the evolution
(05:59):
of women growing in the ATA isseriously empowering to me.
So I just am so excited togive back and have this seminar just
blast and start worlds off theright way.
So speaking of women in theATA, 1, this is a stacked group of
instructors.
I mean, this.
(06:20):
You can't get like a moreawesome group than this is.
Grandmaster Tammy, you weretelling us A little bit about some
stats about women in the ata.
Can you review those for us?
Yes.
Currently, there are 140,000women training in the ATA.
And of those hundred fortythousand, there is 138 female masters.
(06:44):
So in 1993, there were nofemale masters, and since that time,
we have gone to 138.
And it is just.
So the percentage is like fourplus female masters a year.
Oh, man.
And we just get better and better.
We got a Grand Master.
We're gonna have new GrandMasters coming up.
That's amazing.
(07:04):
So this is gonna be a free forall you guys can.
Whoever wants to jump in.
But what are you most excitedabout with this ladies empower seminar?
Well, I'll start us out, andthen I'll throw it to.
To Senior Master Pavlik.
(07:24):
First, I want to thank theladies that are.
That are part of this team, because they are all volunteering
their time to do this seminar.
The proceeds are going to goto the Hu Lee Foundation.
So this is something we areexcited about.
It's just.
It's going to be.
It's going to be like nothingever before for the women of ATA
(07:48):
And Master Pavlik, if you'lljust jump in there.
Yes, ma' am.
Yes.
So this is kind of one ofthose things we've been talking about
for a while, because I'm sure,as the other ladies can attest to,
you know, coming up throughthe ranks, you didn't see as many
women as I think we're blessedto have now.
So it was really exciting forme, as I got to be a higher rank,
(08:08):
to realize that there were somany other women.
And, you know, as a kid, Iremember watching Grandmaster Stauber
do her thing up on stage, typically, and it was always, oh,
I want to be that person.
I want to be up there like her.
And, you know, going maybeyounger girls that are just coming
up, that it's not just onefemale role model.
There's so many in the ata.
And giving them the chance totrain just right along with us is,
(08:30):
I think, empowering for notjust them, but us also.
Anyone else?
Any other ladies want to hopin there with that answer?
I'm really excited to continuebuilding the positive relationships
with the women that I alreadyknow, as well as creating new ones
with new faces and giving allof us an opportunity to be in a space
(08:57):
where we have, you know, a lotin common and just fellowship with
one another.
I think it's great that wehave a space for.
For us.
Yes.
I.
Well, I think this Is.
I'm super excited about this.
Can you give Master Stevani.
Do you have information on,like, who can do this?
Like, do I have to be acertain age, a certain rank to do
(09:18):
this?
Obviously, I can't.
I can't do this.
Yeah, right.
Not.
Not you, sir.
But it's open to girls eightand up.
Women eight.
Eight and up, I believe, right?
Is it eight?
Yes.
Okay.
That's what I thought in theata, and it's.
It's.
It's all inclusive, so anyonethat wants to get out there and just
be a part of positive energy, learning environment, you know, camaraderie,
(09:39):
that's what we're here for,and that's what we're here to do.
So, yeah, it's really open toanyone eight and up.
And I believe black belts.
Right?
Black belts, too.
No.
Color belts.
Open to everyone to grow andto learn and to just get deeper in
the ATA culture and just, youknow, take your learning to the next
level.
So definitely that's why wewanted this.
(10:00):
To be so different, because wewant color belts.
We want grandmothers, mothers, children, anybody a part of ATA to
feel that sisterhood andempowerment and just open for everyone.
Oh, my goodness.
You guys are gonna have thelargest seminar, I think, and I'm
really excited about that.
It's gonna be amazing.
I've been interviewing a lotof athletes of the week.
(10:21):
The junior brand ambassadorshave been picking these athletes
of the week, and there's abunch of ladies that I've gotten
to talk to and so inspiring, you know, talking to them, and they're
setting their goals to bemasters, and they're inspired by
you guys.
Anybody?
Do.
Do any of you have a storythat you could mention or just.
It's just something that mighthave happened that was inspiring
for you to watch.
Another lady or another ladythat might have a little girl who
(10:43):
said something to you about, like, how inspiring it was to see
you do something.
I know.
You know what, Master Chiefon, Go for it.
Okay, I'll jump in.
So last year, when GrandmasterTammy became Grandmaster, I had always
set my goals on being aneighth degree.
And then when I saw thatmoment happen on stage, I.
(11:06):
I was just ignited, and Isaid, this is my new goal, to be
Grandmaster.
You know, it really set theprecedent for us to just be more
and to be the best version of ourselves.
So for me, that was a momentthat took my growing and learning
to the next level.
My.
Yeah.
Goals.
I love it.
Master Pavlick, I saw somepretty awesome comments from ladies
(11:27):
after your.
You did A midterm somewhere.
And you had.
There was this great pictureof you in your midterm thing and
I think that got some commentsfrom the ladies out there.
That was very kind.
I appreciated the really nice feedback.
I think sometimes we get inour own head and we don't realize
that there's other peoplewatching and you may be impacting
others that you don't evenknow are paying attention.
(11:48):
So I very much appreciate that.
Grandmaster Caruso posted thaton his Instagram, so I didn't even
know it.
My son actually commented on it.
Kind of a sarcastic little funny.
And that's when I started topay attention.
I saw it.
So it was very kind.
Well, that's awesome.
I think you are all such anamazing inspiration.
(12:08):
I'm excited that my daughtergets to grow up in this organization,
getting to see ladies like you.
And I really appreciate yourlady's time today.
Thank you so, so much.
Thank you so much for having us.
Thank you, sir.
We will see all the women at.
The empower her at worldChampionships get signed up.
(12:28):
It's going to be the biggestseminar there.
Don't miss it.
Thank you so much, ladies.
Thank you, ladies and gentlemen.
Actually ladies, you guys havelike such an exciting seminar.
(12:48):
Like this is going to be hugeand I think it's just going to grow.
I.
I think the ladies out thereare gonna just start to destroy us
guys as we're as our training.
So be, be aware, okay?
Be aware there.
They could be coming for you.
Love these comments online.
Thanks for tuning in.
(13:10):
We really appreciate we've gotanother awesome segment.
Now I'm used to doing theseshows and not having like 10, 20,
a million guests.
But today I wanted to bring inall the greatest information, some
cool people on here for youguys with our live.
We're going live again in Julywith new guests getting us all pumped
(13:31):
up for world championship.
So do not miss it.
Let's go.
Now we're going to talk allabout Ata Max.
We have with us Mr.
Ra.
How are you today, sir?
I'm doing great, sir.
How's it going?
Wonderful.
You're part of the ATA Maxteam teaching all these ATMX things.
(13:55):
If somebody is out thereliving under a rock, what they come
out from underneath the rockand they're like, what is, what's
ATA Max?
I don't even know what this is.
Give us just a quick overview, real quick.
So basically we had XMA as abrand for the longest time.
And Cinema Swazi Senior MasterTurner took a deep dive into atm.
(14:17):
Really looked at.
We've never had any seriousstructured training for Craven Extreme
and ata.
So for everyone in the past,it used to just be you had to go
to a tournament, you had to goout of your way to figure it out
on your own.
So they took a deep dive andbuilt the create the curriculum from
the ground up with the base ofjust Songam Taekwondo to expand into
(14:40):
Craven Extreme.
So that way, no matter whereyou are, if you're trying to compete
on your own, if you're aschool owner trying to take the next
level in your training andbusiness, then it's a great.
ATMX is kind of the next thingto add to your training and to your
business.
I love it.
They, I know.
You know, for so long peopleare just like YouTube and stuff.
You know, you're like, findout all your stuff on YouTube instead
(15:02):
of like these seminars.
And this just continues to grow.
At World Championships thisyear, there is an ATMX seminar that
is the building your teamsfrom the ground up.
Can you give me a little ideawhat this is?
So basically what we're tryingto do is we're looking at as a school
owner, what is the next wayyou can build a new culture just
(15:24):
to develop your students as acommunity and take the next step
in your business, training wise.
And so for us, honestly, TeamSync and Demo Team is the way to
do that.
You can get all your studentsto become one big team.
Building their creative andExtreme from the ground up foundation,
then giving them theexcitement, the exciting training
(15:45):
that they really want.
Little sprinkles on top oftheir training.
Yeah, I love this.
Now I have gone, I've been toa few worlds and nationals.
We always get to see there'sTeam Sync and Team Demo and these
events are like, ah, you know,it is a performance.
It's these big events.
You get to see these topathletes in there.
(16:07):
I, I have heard rumor that wemight be seeing some of this Team
Sync stuff come to selectregional tournaments.
Is that, is that true?
Yes, sir, that is true.
With the new excitement forit, with the information out there
for people wanting to do it,more schools wanting to put their
teams out there to represent.
(16:29):
Since there's more demand, wegot to add more supply, sir.
So Nationals just wasn'tenough for everyone.
We got to give them moreopportunities to get points, get
the experience for it.
I, I am super excited about this.
So I have recently beenthinking like, I don't know, years
ago we had like a demo team, but we didn't do much with it.
It was just, just not these Things.
(16:50):
If you, in the comments, ifyou're watching online and you're
part of a demo team or teamsync team, let us know.
I would love to hear what teamor demo team or team sync that you're
a part of because we've.
I've seen some of you guys onYouTube and it's.
It's amazing.
So, Mr.
Mr.
Raffle, what if I'm a studentout there and I'm thinking, I don't
(17:11):
know, maybe this is for me,maybe it's not?
What would you tell them ifthey're on the fence about team or
even just creative extreme ATM Max?
Anyway, so honestly, this isthe best thing about Craven Extreme
and ATA Max itself.
Senior Master and SeniorMaster honestly did an amazing job
with the curriculum you lookat even from a white belt level.
(17:33):
You have a knife hand strike, you have a punch in your form.
You have the basic cravenextreme right there.
There's your chop and your punch.
You know how to do a front stance.
Honestly, you're good to getout there.
So honestly, all you get toadd with your basic techniques is
how can you add a little bitof performance aspect to it?
How can you develop a littlebit of confidence to get out in front
(17:54):
of people and be comfortablein an uncomfortable situation?
The only way we can growpersonally is to put ourselves in
those uncomfortable situations.
So for everyone, whetheryou're amazing at it, you're not
amazing at it, the only way toknow if you can do it is to try.
Yes.
So, Mr.
(18:15):
Rebel, what.
What's your history with ATAExtreme or ATA Max, I should say,
what's your.
Were you right?
Like, as soon as stuff likethat came out, you were like, I am.
I am all about extreme andcreative divisions.
Or were you kind of like, howdid your evolution in creating your
own stuff come?
So funny enough, I didn't docreative and extreme until I was
(18:36):
a third degree black belt from.
Oh, I love that.
Yes.
Of what I started.
I actually only didtraditional martial arts.
I won my first world title intraditional forms.
And then I had one person atmy school actually, Brian Goad.
He teaches for Master Mo now,but he did craven Extreme and I thought
(18:58):
he was the coolest person ever.
I had done a little bit of theclasses before, but I'd never seriously
competed at it.
And so he started helping meput a form together.
I went out there, tried itwhen I was 11 as a third degree and
I did all right.
But from then on, I just, Ithought it was the coolest thing
ever.
And I'm Always the type person.
Just once I get intosomething, I want to know as much
(19:21):
as I possibly can about it.
And I was very lucky to haveparents that supported me with everything
I wanted.
So they took me to everycreative and extreme training, gave
me a ton of opportunities tolearn the knowledge, and here I am
now part of the ATM Max team.
So obviously going out of myway to go to the seminars that there
were in the past helped me getto where I am now.
(19:44):
That's awesome.
I love that you didn't startuntil a third degree because so many
people look kind of like yougo to Worlds or nationals and you
see one of these guys doingthis stuff and you're like, yeah,
I'm not getting.
There's no way.
Exactly.
That's how you start.
And then.
But that doesn't mean, youknow, where you're comparing your,
(20:05):
you know, white belt tosomebody else's brown belt, you know,
or black belt or whatever itmight be.
Oh, I love that.
So you started at third degreeand look at you, you're, you're part
of the ATMX team.
So what is, what, what are youencouraging people to do when it
comes to Max?
What, what should somebodytake action on if they're like, hey,
(20:26):
I think ATMX might besomething I need to look into.
I hear there are some regionalseminars come in and there's some
other stuff.
So what action plans shouldsomebody have?
Honestly, the best thing youcan do is come to the seminar with
an open mind and honestly takeeverything you knew about creative
(20:46):
and extreme and come in with ablank slate.
Come in with, what are the, what is the information that we're
trying to push right now toall your students, to all your competitors,
if you are a competitor, ifyou're a high level competitor, come
in like, you know, nothing.
Because honestly, ata Max,we're trying to rework how Craven
Extreme itself is viewed inthe ATA and how it's trained in the
(21:07):
ata.
So whether you know creativeand extreme or you don't know creative
or extreme, we're all comingin on a level playing field and we're
all at the base and thefoundation of learning and building
what our crave and extremewill be like in the future for the
organization.
That's great.
I, I like what you said thereabout starting from scratch almost.
(21:28):
So some of us who might havegone through some other training
or whatever, we need to makesure you go in, empty your cup, you
know, be a student again, bewilling to rethink some ways of doing
things.
So at World Championships.
There is the building yourteam from the ground up, training
with Team Sync material, I believe.
(21:50):
Then there is the.
I know for sure.
Then we have the Team Sync andTeam Demo World TOC competition.
And at World Championships, if.
If I am correct and I could bewrong, there is not competition for
the new season, though.
Is that right?
Okay, that's what I thought.
For the new season, we're justending off the season strong.
(22:12):
And then since we're creatingmore opportunities to compete at
regional tournaments, get yourteam some tournaments a little closer
to your teams.
Yes.
Tons of opportunities toreally get out there and earn points
for the new season.
I'm excited about that.
Do you have any idea when theywill be announcing what regional
tournaments those are going tobe at or.
I know they have a select fewalready picked out.
(22:36):
I believe with this buildingyour teams from the ground up, everyone
who's there will get a littlesneak peek of what tournaments are
going to be holding.
Some of those.
Well, there's a reason to goright then, guys.
Make sure you get signed upfor that.
I will be at Thrive at thattime, but I'm going to send one of
my ninjas to go check it out, because I want to.
Awesome.
(22:56):
Well, thank you so much, Mr.
Raffle, for your time.
We really appreciate it.
And we'll see you in.
I was gonna say Pittsburgh.
I.
I wish.
It's gonna.
It'd be cooler in Pittsburgh, but no, we'll see you in Phoenix.
Yes.
Yeah.
Exactly.
Yeah.
Yeah.
What is the temperature today?
(23:17):
A hundred thousand.
It is.
Oh, it's a cool day today, sir.
It's just a flat 100.
Oh.
Just.
Just barely into the tripledigits, but it's great.
It's actually.
You know what?
I bet it's better there todaythan it is in Little Rock.
I bet the humidity is crazy.
So awesome.
Mr.
Raffle, we really appreciateyour time.
(23:38):
Thanks so much, sir.
Thank you, sir.
I'm telling you, I.
I'm really excited about thisTeam Sync stuff, coming to regional
events.
I have just been thinkingabout what I'm going to do.
How am I going to start tobuild some teams?
I've been bad about buildingteams and extreme.
(23:59):
I just got to.
I got to get on this bus and.
And start going because it'sgoing to be amazing.
I kind of look at the.
If you look back 10 years ago, whatever, at like, team sparring
and look at what that startedas and how we work that.
I think we're in that sameposition for Team Sync across the
country.
(24:19):
So don't take that to the bank.
But if I were you, I would getout there, go to that seminar, talk
to your friends at your localATA school, and start building some
sync competition.
Early bird gets the worm.
Now, speaking of teamcompetition, at where were we?
(24:40):
Spring Nationals.
There was some tryouts forsome new international teams.
So let's talk all about thatjust with our special guest, Mr.
Jaime.
How are you, Sir?
I'm doing great, sir.
How are you doing?
(25:00):
I am wonderful.
Your shirt seems to berepresenting something.
What would you be representing there?
Sir, yes, sir.
Yeah, this is our first ever.
It's really cool Team atmxicoteam shirt.
So I'm wearing it right now.
So had to represent.
Yes.
So your dad, I believe, hastaken on kind of this task and as.
(25:26):
As part of the family.
That means it's your guys'stasks actually of helping to build
up some international teams.
So you guys at Nationals hadtryouts for which two teams?
Yes, sir.
So we had a tryouts for TeamATM Mexico and team at Philippines,
sir.
I am super excited about thisbecause the Songam Cup, I think is
(25:48):
one of the events at Worldchampionships that I just love.
I think it's super awesome.
And I absolutely love Team USAbecause I have a lot of friends on
Team usa.
They're great people on Teamusa, but rising tides lift all boats.
I would love to see even moreinternational teams that can just
(26:09):
like push the competition sothat everybody is moving up.
So you guys, I saw on socialmedia have had some practices with
districts and stuff.
Is that what.
How are the teams going since starting?
Yes.
So, yeah, it's been great.
So I was really excited.
And same with as of course, myfather Grandmaster candidate hired
me or nominee hired me that wehave some coaches who volunteered
(26:32):
to help us out.
So in the east coast kind ofside, we have master nominee Santos.
He's actually under masterJesse Isaacs, who's the coach of
tbsa, but he's one of his instructors.
And then senior master Burnsand then.
And then his wife, Mrs.
Master Caballero, as I call her.
They are kind of helping outwith the east coast side.
And then my father,Grandmaster nominee Jaime, and then
(26:56):
master Jonathan Thornton fromLegendary Martial Arts though on
the west coast.
So it was really cool.
We actually had team trainingsthe same day on both sides of the
coast.
So all the people in thesouthwest district we met at Master
Thornton studio, and theneverybody in.
I believe they're thesoutheast district area, they actually
(27:17):
got to use a studio.
A studio in Georgia, which.
And we were running at thesame Time and then whichever side
of the country was best foryou, you kind of went to that area.
That is awesome.
Oh.
So our Team Mexico and TeamPhilippines, they ready to bring
some heat for the Song cupthis year?
Yes, sir.
(27:37):
Yeah, there's a lot of great competitors.
Actually we were kind oflooking at a lot of them did pretty
well at district.
So I think I'm excited to seethem bring that to another toil level
for world Championships, sir.
Excellent.
Well, I, I think you'reprobably working on building a multi
year.
You know, Team USA didn't wakeup and were, you know, the, the group
(28:01):
they are now, you guys arejust starting getting going.
So what can ATA out there, ATAnation out there do to support you
guys, to help build you guys up?
Will the future involve moretryouts later on as well?
Kind of give us a future lookof what, what Team Mexico and Team
(28:21):
Philippines is going for.
Yes, sir.
Yeah.
So we, because we got a littlebit of a late start.
We actually met with MasterStevens at Fall Nationals last year
to discuss how do we.
And Master is a Master Rosa.
How do we start a team?
How do we run a team?
We didn't do our tryouts untilDallas Spring Nationals and then
we're looking at this yearactually doing it at Fall Nationals
(28:43):
similar to how Team USA doesit and then doing training at Spring
Nationals that way that wouldactually get a little more time to
work as a team before we haveto compete obviously for world titles.
So that's going to be our nextstep in growing our teams and the.
And to support us.
So this is actually reallycool is we ordered our first set
of shirts for both teams.
(29:05):
And I remember my father, hewas like, man, it's a lot of shirts.
I mean we have a lot of teammembers, but I feel like we're gonna
have like tons of shirts.
And then we were just amazedat districts.
Friday night we were doinglike the three person teams and we
had a little table set up andwe were selling the shirts and I
was coaching our team, likeour junior varsity rookie team.
(29:28):
And I came back in and checkedwith my mom and all the shirts were
just completely gone.
And she sold out completely.
And huge shout out actually toChief Master Church, one of the coaches,
Team usa, he actually bought aton of them to support us, which
is really nice of him.
Oh, that's awesome.
I was, I saw that they weregoing fast because online I saw him,
I was like, well, I can't getout there, but I'm gonna have to
(29:49):
get.
Pick me up a Team Mexico andTim Philippine shirt.
I know the burns is.
Have to like, like stitch ittogether so.
Because they're like half orsomething like that.
Yeah, it's great.
Oh, yeah.
Oh.
I mean, well, they're verysimilar to my parents because my
mother's Filipino.
My father's Mexican.
That just switched.
Yeah.
Master Burns, he's Filipino.
(30:11):
Master Cab is Mexican, so it'sreally cool.
They'll have one flag in eachhand while they're cheering it at
Worlds.
Yes.
And they have to figure outwhen my other son gets a little older,
which team is he going to beon, Filipino or Mexico?
So speaking of people outthere might not know kind of what
the requirements are for a team.
Like, I don't have to live inMexico to be on Team Mexico.
(30:35):
We.
What is the.
Like, what do I have to be.
To be able to be on one ofthese teams?
Yes, sir.
Yeah.
So especially because it's ourinaugural year and we're just recruiting
members for the first time,ATA said that anybody whose grandparents
were of either Filipino orMexican descent could be on the team.
(30:56):
So for me, my parents, I'mhalf and half, so.
But we have a lot of membersthat have.
Their grandparents areFilipinos or Mexicans.
Some are completely Mexican.
Filipino, which is really cool.
So, yeah, that's kind of whereour requirement lies right now, sir.
Excellent.
Okay.
And you might make thatstricter as you grow the team or
whatever.
Who knows?
Yes, that's probably whatwe're looking at, sir.
Rules.
(31:16):
Well, I've got a.
I got a set that they.
Some students that if theywere at Dallas, they would have been
there to try out.
I was like, maybe, maybe next time.
Because I think our way that's.
I.
That might be the case.
So I will do that for sure.
I'm super excited about the song.
I'm cup watching theseinternational teams.
(31:37):
We, I believe will bebroadcasting live.
So everybody across thecountry, if you're not making it
to World Championships, whichyou should go to World Championships,
people get registered.
But if you're not going.
I think we'll be doing it live.
Will you guys be doing any.
You probably don't know yet.
But selling any merch orwhatever there just raise money as
(32:00):
well or, you know, what elsecan people do to Support you guys?
Yeah.
100, sir.
We actually, I believe ournext shipment of shirts actually
are.
Master Thorpin's handling alot of that because he's already
in Arizona.
So instead of shipping it toCalifornia, bring it there.
So I believe.
Yeah.
Second shipments.
Second shipments there.
(32:20):
And I think we actually needto do a third.
Oh we're so we'll have, we'llhave our merch and our gear there.
We also have pants as well.
Those are pretty cool.
So.
Excellent.
Well, I expect to see thecrowd at the kickoff.
So this, the kickoff party isthe, 25 July 6:00pm kickoff party
(32:41):
and then the internationalteam will be, the finals will be
then.
I can't remember exactly whenduring the schedule the international
like semifinals will be.
Yeah, sure.
It's Thursday at.
I believe it starts at three.
We have to be a little earlier.
But three o' clock is when thesong cup begins.
Okay.
And then unless I'm wrong, then once the final two teams for
(33:02):
each age group have beendecided, they'll we take a little
break and then Friday we doget out the cup.
Sir, that's how it was last year.
Sounds good.
Excellent.
Excited to see that.
I'm excited to see the roomfilled with you know, Team USA shirts
and Team Mexico shirts.
Team Philippines, I know we'vegot a lot of teams from South America
usually end up showing up.
(33:24):
We'll see if some of Europeshows up.
That'd be awesome as well.
So love having all of ATAnation there.
Hey sir, I really appreciate time.
Great work out there with TeamMexico and Team Philippines.
We're super excited to see it.
So we'll see you at world championships.
Thank you so much sir.
I appreciate it.
(33:48):
Ladies and gentlemen.
Oh hey Master Turner.
I am excited.
Master Turner is going to be on.
Oh, oh oh.
Master Isaacs, could I, can Iget Isaac's on?
Oh man.
Hold on, I'm coming back toyour comment Turner, but let me get,
let me get Isaac's.
Hold on.
(34:08):
Isaac the man, the legend.
Say that again.
Athlete development.
It's going great.
We have 150 of these guys allover the place training hard.
You know what the cool thingabout this camp is?
You get to come hang out withthis lady right here.
(34:29):
It's the best part of it.
But the really cool thingabout this camp is that the culture
is so amazing here.
These athletes, they'retraining so hard.
They're training hard, they'repushing themselves but they're coaching
each other up.
And you're watching like wehave a 14 and under group, a 50 to
70 group, 18 to 29, 30 groupand then a 40 plus group.
(34:52):
And you're watching theseyounger fighters get to work out
with the 15-17s.
You're watching the 15-17s getto work out with the 18 to 29 year
olds and they just keepcoaching each other up.
And it's so amazing to watchbecause not only are they physically
pushing themselves hard, butyou're watching that the will to
win happen.
You're watching them learn.
(35:13):
You're watching them reallyjust embrace the culture of that
work together.
And it's just, it's, it'sreally, really, really cool.
I saw culture was the themethis year.
You got some sweet shirts, that black on black shirt.
Like, you guys want to juststeal me a couple?
That's fantastic.
So I, I went a couple yearsago, got to watch, got to see the
(35:37):
teams interact with the kids.
And it's so exciting to see, like, this is the next generation
of ATA athletes that are goingto come up.
These will be the masters, these are going to be the, the leaders.
And it's, they're buildingsome great people out there.
It really is.
You know, and what's cool hereis I'm sitting here with the Grandmaster
Stauber and Master Blanks and,you know, worked with Chief Master
(36:00):
Church and Chief MasterSkiles, and they're all of our leaders
now, but we're, we're, youknow, honor the past, embrace the
future, right?
And we're talking about theseguys that are at camp right now.
Some of them are 10 years old.
In 20 years, they're going tobe the masters.
They're going to be the guysthat are going for mastership.
And we have to, if we reallywant to develop our culture, we have
(36:21):
to start preparing for whatit's going to be.
We have to show them what itis, and we have to remember what
song is, what it is at its core.
Like, it's our people, it'sour relationships, and we have to
prepare for what it, what, what they're going to be.
Because we're not going to behere forever.
We're not going to be the guysor the, the girls up front anymore.
It's going to be these, theseyoung, young students coming up.
(36:42):
And we want to make sure thatthey're doing not just song on Taekwondo
the right way, but they're,you know, really building champions
beyond the belt, becausethey're going to go to some, not
all of them are going to beschool owners.
And that's okay.
That's okay.
But you know what?
They'll always have a homehere with us.
They will always have a place here.
And they're getting to seethat by being able to be coached
(37:03):
up, like I was saying earlier, and by being around other great leaders,
because that's how you really, truly pass legacy on is by being
around, you know, mentors andleaders that have lived it already
and are passing it on to thefuture generation.
And that's really, reallypowerful about being here is.
I mean, Grandmaster Stopper isnot walking around with a belt.
(37:24):
We're just walking around aspeople and they're getting to interact
and talk as.
It's just so cool to watchthat legacy being passed forward.
And I love that it's not justin the sparring realm.
You know, we had on today Mr.
Raffle and what a greatexample of, you know, it wasn't,
you know, Senior Master Turneror Senior Master Sulzi on with us
today talking about atmx.
(37:46):
It was the next generation already.
You know, we're, we're, we'realready building that and we have
to continue to do that.
You know, I thought one of themost powerful things that we've seen
recently and this was with, you know, your dad and some other
members of the Master'scouncil is they stepped down from
the Master's council.
Right.
You know, this is leading byexample, saying, honor the past,
(38:09):
embrace the future.
I've given my time, I've given my.
Let me make way for newleaders and new people to come up.
That's amazing.
I mean, that's really powerfuland really goes to the heart of what
we do in, in buildingchampions here beyond the belts.
It is.
And you know, like, one of theways that we describe our core values
(38:31):
at ATA is it's forward thinking.
We've got to think for the future.
We can, we cannot, we cannotexpect the leaders.
We have to do it forever.
They, they're, they, they'regoing to want to retire also.
It doesn't mean they won't be here.
To mentor us, not anytime soon.
Master Grandmaster, right?
And to be with us.
But we, they have to, they dohave to help get us ready and prepared
(38:55):
for the future because we aregoing to have to lead as well.
And it's really cool to seethat here at the camp because we're
watching, you know, I mean, you got, you got some master kids
here.
You got Master Habaduchi'sdaughters here.
You've got Master Church's son here.
You've got some kids that havebeen here, you know, for a really
(39:16):
long time.
You got Mr.
Joe Rowan here.
You know, I mean, these guyshave been here through, through.
They're phenomenal people.
And we just have to keepmentoring them because they're coming
after me.
I'm not going to be the last one.
I don't want to be the last one.
I want.
I want to be going on.
My daughter's coming up.
She's only 7.
She tested for a yellow boat today.
And in 20 years, you know, she'd be 27.
(39:38):
She's going to be at that spotwhere we're starting to talk about
fourth, fifth degree black belt.
What's she going to be like?
You know, I want her to bearound people like Master Blanks.
I want her to be around people that.
That can mentor and guide herthat have, you know, been through
song on the journey.
And not just.
Not just the journey, but theprocess of what it really means to
build a champion of life.
And we always say journey.
(39:58):
And I like to kind of use theword process because journey sometimes
means you kind of go out intoleft field.
You kind of figure it out.
But if you follow the processof song on, we know what the end
result will be.
You're going to like it.
You're going to like it.
It's going to be amazing.
Part of your life.
And that's really what thiscamp is all about.
It's not just kicking andpunching and sparring.
(40:19):
I think secretly it's a.
It's an instructor development program.
I just don't tell people that, so.
Well, it's not just aninstructor development program.
It's a person development program.
It really is.
That's.
We are.
I mean, that's what EternalGrandmaster was all about.
Creating a whole person.
You know, that was the idea.
And, you know, 55 years later,we're still doing it.
(40:41):
Yeah.
And that's.
Yeah.
The thing that we're reallyfocused on this year, like we said,
was culture and just talkingabout being, developing and building
grit.
And one of the things that's.
The contributing factor topeople that are successful is their.
Their.
Their ability to overcomeobstacles, their resilience for.
For, you know, even failure.
(41:03):
You know, it's grit.
It's those kids that get backup and keep going even when they
don't win, even when theydon't get first place, even though
they don't get on the team.
Those are the people that aregoing to win in the long run because
they have learned how toreally do the hard work of mean.
That's.
That's one of the things that's.
On the back of this shirt.
It says hard worker.
(41:23):
That's what we want.
I want kids that put outeffort every time.
The most talented kid in the room.
At some level, all.
Everybody's talented.
They're all talented.
But at some point, I Need themost effort.
That's what I need.
That's what I need.
Well, I love.
One of my favorite interviewswe did on the show quite a while
ago, though, was one of yourcaptains, Mr.
(41:43):
Joe Rowan.
And hearing, you know, people, look, he's like, ah, this guy who
spars these.
Team USA and the number oftournaments, he didn't place that
before he ever did it.
That's what people don't.
When you talk about process.
Okay.
A lot of times we look at theend of a, you know, there, and we
see that end and forget thatthere was all of this process beforehand.
(42:06):
So super awesome, awesomethings down there.
We're really excited to seeall of you guys at World Championships
in just a couple of weeks.
I hear Team Mexico and TeamPhilippines said that they're just
going to destroy Team usa.
They keep saying that.
I love it.
I love it.
I'm just.
I'm.
(42:26):
They're gonna hate me whenthis is all over because I'm just
like.
But.
But we do.
We.
We say welcome, and we areexcited that we've got two more countries
to compete at World Championships.
Absolutely.
I mean, I'm so excited thatMaster Jaime's putting this together.
I mean, it's so awesomebecause it gets more people involved,
(42:47):
and the more time you're justin the ring, you're.
The better you're gonna be.
The better you're gonna be.
Yeah.
And obviously, when you'repart of a team, yes, you're part
of ata.
I mean, we're all ATA Nation.
I mean, we're all part of thesame team, but you're part of that
team.
And building that, that's justcreating that culture as well.
So thank you guys so much foreverything you do.
We really appreciate it.
(43:08):
Enjoy the rest of your weekend there.
Safe travels.
I guess.
I mean, Grandmaster Tammydoesn't have far.
To go, but she'll be taking meto the airport.
Well, I'll see Senior MasterIsaac's picture of him at the airport
on my phone.
That's right.
But we really appreciate youguys so much.
Thank you.
All right.
Thank you, guys.
