This episode reviews the mislabeling and all too aggressive measures of pharmaceutical therapies in psychiatric disorders used by medical professionals in this day and age. More and more children are misdiagnosed and treated with pharmaceuticals that are not FDA approved or indicated in children and the algorithms lack inclusion of the correct diagnosis and multitude of non pharmaceutical measures that should be utilized. The same rule applies for adult therapies. Pharmaceuticals can be helpful when used correctly but there are many non drug therapies available to patients discussed in this segment.
