Gregory Ray is a man of God, poet, writer, mentor, motivational speaker, and business owner. His love for God, Family, and community drives him to do his best and be expressive. He finds meaning in life by giving back and uplifting others with his creative words and vivid imagination.
Gregory was born in Denmark, SC; but raised as a military brat. He studied Computer Science at his beloved HBCU, Voorhees College, which is now Voorhees University, and obtained his master’s degree in Computer Resource and Information Management from Webster University.
While working in the field of Information Technology mostly as a Cybersecurity professional, he manages to find time to write poetry and serve in his community. Although he enjoys his career, nothing gives him more delight than seeing the smile of someone reading or hearing him recite his original poetry. He writes under the pen name, “CharismatiQue The Poet”.
Recently, Gregory has found a new purpose in being a Big Brother to young males in his community. He saw it as a chance not to just give back, but as a way to provide hope and give opportunities to youth that may not have had a chance and deserves one.
When Gregory is not occupied protecting the country from Cyber-attacks, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, working in the community, serving in his home church, and fellowshipping with his fraternity brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, INC. He also enjoys, traveling, reading, golfing, family gatherings, grilling, and watching movies.
