What happens when an 85-year-old woman answers the call to fight spiritual darkness?

In this unforgettable episode of The Blind Exorcist, I’m joined by Edra Hayes, an 85-year-old exorcist whose path to deliverance ministry began unexpectedly on the beaches of Maui. From humble beginnings in Idaho to confronting Satanic ritual abuse, Edra’s journey is one of resilience, bold faith, and the raw power of Jesus Christ.

Idra is 85 years old soon to be86, and is an exorcist.
Idra has been practicing for 20to 25 years.
She's full of wisdom, experience, life experience, and

(01:05):
you are going to find her soinspirational, loving,
compassionate and tons of wisdom.
That's why I'm so excited.
This is why I wanted tointerview her, because of her
experience.
It's like we're coming andsitting down around somebody
that really truly does have thelife experience to teach us kids
a few things, and that's Idra.

(01:26):
How many exorcists do you knowthat are 85 years old, turning
86?
How many?
I guarantee you none.
That's what's so cool aboutthis Most people don't even make
it to 85 years old.
So, without any further ado, idra, welcome to the Blind

(01:47):
Exorcist.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
Thank you, Justin.
I am so excited to be with youtoday.
We have a lot in common and alot to share.
It's just really a privilege.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Amen, and it's a privilege to have you, idra,
with us.
You have been at this for manyyears.
You are 85, soon to be 86 yearsold.
You have a wealth of wisdom, life experience, have worked
with hundreds, if not thousands,of clients, and it's going to
be an exciting episode, guys, sobuckle up.

(02:24):
This is going to be really goodinformation.
So, as a start, let's just getto know you, idra, let the
audience get to know you alittle bit.
Where were you born, what state, what year, and can you tell us
a little bit briefly about yourchildhood and growing up?

Speaker 2 (02:45):
I was born in Kellogg , idaho, in 1938.
My mother and daddy had beenmarried nine years before I was
born.
My mother had multiplemiscarriages, so I am a miracle

(03:05):
and I appreciate the value ofthat.
We lived in Northern Idaho.
Most of the time out in thecountry we lived on farms and my
dad was a logger, so a lot oftimes he was gone away for a
week or two at a time and whatwe called logging camps.

(03:27):
The men would go out to wherethe logging was taking place and
live in bunks and stay thereand then a weekend's off.
My dad was an alcoholic and wasabusive to my mother Never
abusive to me or my two youngersiblings but I didn't like what

(03:48):
I saw happening.
And on my 10th birthday mydaddy was killed in a logging
accident and our lives changeddramatically.
We left Idaho rural living.
During that time I had gone to aone room schoolhouse for, I

(04:10):
think, two or three grades.
That was kind of cool and itwas interesting.
We had to walk across a biglong bridge across the river to
catch the school bus and it wasan interesting chapter in my
life.
I haven't met very many peoplethat can say they went to one

(04:33):
room schoolhouse.
But when my daddy died we movedfrom Northern Idaho up in the
Panhandle and we moved toWestern Washington to what is
known as Grace Harbor County, and I finished growing up there
At the age of 17, I found Christ.

(04:54):
My life has just been excitingand challenging and it just all
of the hard places I walkedthrough has really helped to
equip me for what I am doing now.

Speaker 1 (05:11):
Edra, thank you so much for sharing that's
fascinating history.
A one room, school room that no, we're not going to find that.
It's awesome to hear that youwere saved at 17 years old and
eventually you were married andguys.
I just want to step through alittle bit of her life here,

(05:35):
because it's such an amazingtransition when we're going to
leave quote, unquote normal lifeand transition into her as an
exorcist.
So I just want to flush out herlife a little bit more.
Edra, you were married and I'dlike for you to share with us

(05:55):
how you met your husband and Iremember talking with you and he
had passed away before you andyou were upset about this, and I
remember you had shared a storywith me about doing taxes.
So can you share with us howyou met your husband, a little
bit about your marriage, hispassing, and tell us about what

(06:21):
happened after he passed away?
You were doing taxes and yougot into your car and you were
upset, so can you share a littlebit of that with us.

Speaker 2 (06:31):
I met my husband and his family, who attended the
church where I found Christ.
Later we married and we havefour children who are all grown.
I have seven grandchildren andfour great-grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren, and somy life was exciting with

(06:55):
family.
My husband was always drawn tothe Ministry of Deliverance and
I didn't want to know anythingabout it.
I didn't want to hear about it.
I wouldn't admit it to myself, but it scared me because we
never heard teaching on it, andso I just didn't want to hear

(07:20):
about it or know about it.
It was too off the charts forme.
Word came to me that God wasgoing to do something new in my
life, something he'd never donebefore, and I was to look
forward and not backward.
And so we had something takeplace in our lives where God

(07:42):
absolutely isolated me and putme on the shelf for four years.
He just I was isolated Duringthat time.
I knew it was of God.
I just was pressing into him,and God began to give me verses
in the Bible, and I didn'trealize how they dovetailed one

(08:05):
another until later.
We went on vacation and we wereactually in Hawaii, on Maui, in
the city of Lahaina, the citythat just burned down in the
terrible Maui fires and it wasEaster Sunday and we went to
church and that little churchhad the aloha spirit and they

(08:28):
invited us to their potluck.
And we went and this ladywalked up to me and she said may
I pray for you?
And I said, yes.
Another lady, young lady, followed us when we went back
into the century.
I did not know either one ofthese women.
They did not know me.
They'd never seen me before.
Those two women confirmedeverything God had been saying

(08:52):
to me privately, personally andI do want to emphasize this
point because a lot of people goto people who are prophetic for
guidance, for direction, andthat's a mistake.
God confirmed propheticallywhat he had already been saying

(09:13):
to me.
It was a confirmation.
So it boils down to two things.
God said I want you to begin tomove in intercession and a move
in deliverance.
And I said Lord, I know how Ican learn how to be an
intercessor, because theintercessor movement was just

(09:34):
mushrooming at the time.
And I said but I don't know howto do that.
Other stuff You're going tohave to teach me.
I didn't even tell my husbandwhat was said, I just wrote it
down in my journal and afterbeing on the shelf for four
years, my vision for myself wasvery tiny, very small, and what

(09:56):
those women were saying to me,what God was revealing, was so
big it was scary.
I would get my journal and layit out every so often and say,
god, if that was you, you haveto make this happen, you can't
make it happen.
And so about a year later, bobLarson came to town and my

(10:17):
husband and I went to hismeeting.
I had never seen Pastor Bob inperson before.
When he stepped up on stage hebegan to speak, I had two things
happen simultaneously I was alittle put off by his style of
delivery and at the same time, god showed me his heart and the

(10:39):
picture of his heart, one outover the put off that I had.
So when we left the meeting, Itold my husband what had
happened in Hawaii, what God wassaying, and I said do you want
to join?
Do what Jesus did, because inthose days Pastor Bob was only

(11:02):
just starting to raise up.
Do what Jesus did teams tolearn how to do deliverance
correctly, effectively.
And so we joined to what Jesusdid in.
As Paul Harvey would say, therest is history, and I've been

(11:23):
doing deliverance for over 20years, between 20 and 25 years.
My husband passed away in 2007.
And just before he died, justback up one minute and say when
we started to administer, he wasso good at it.
I was the note taker and he wasamazing.

(11:47):
I would look at him sometimes.
Who is this guy I've beenmarried to all this years.
I've never seen the sight ofhim.
It was just.
It brought out the best in myhusband, bill, when he, just not
long before he died, he said tome Idra, I give you an
importation of my anointing fromministry.

(12:07):
And I turned and looked at him.
I didn't say anything but I wasthinking where did that come
from?
And he looked at me veryintently and he said do you
receive it?
And I said yes, and that wassomewhat unusual for him.
So when he passed away, it wasin January of 2007,.

(12:30):
I was going to my accountant toget my taxes taken care of and
I was upset.
I got, I came out of theaccountant's office, I got my
car and I grabbed the steeringwheel, was ready to mangle it
and said God, this isn't fair.
Bill's in heaven with you andI'm here dealing with the IRS.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
This guy's guys.
That is hysterical.
Idra, thank you so much I laughevery time I hear you share
that story that it isn't fairthat your husband, bill's, went
home to be with Lord and youhave to deal with the IRS.

(13:19):
This shows you, folks, thespirit and heart of Idra.
She has a great sense of humor, her eyes sparkle when she talks
and she has an amazingpersonality and she is full of
compassion and she also has thatmother's boot that knows when

(13:45):
to kick you in the butt when youneed kicked in the butt.
So she's just this beautifulblend of a creation of God and
she has taken that mantle fromher husband, that anointing, and
has been working with peoplefor many years.
And it's interesting to note, like many of you out there, she

(14:06):
was afraid of all of this, afraid of demons, afraid of the
darkness, afraid of exorcism, afraid of all of it, and she
admitted that she was afraid.
But eventually the Lord led herinto this ministry.
She accepted that mantle, she'sstepped out in it.
She no longer has fear because,by the way, guys, fear is the

(14:29):
opposite of faith.
So, as Christians, we're eithergonna put our faith in Christ,
that he is supreme, or we'regonna put our faith in fear,
that fear is more powerful.
So I want you to think aboutthat when it comes time for you
to step up, to get a deliverance, to get rid of your demons that
have been vexing you themajority of your life.

(14:50):
You and I both know that youhave them A lot of times.
People are in denial about thembecause of fear.
It really is that simple.
They think it's gonna bespinning heads and green pea
soup being vomiting and all thiscarrying on.
And it's not.
Exorcism is actually a gentleprocess and it's hard on the
demons, but not so much on thepeople.

(15:11):
So I thought that wasinteresting.
And so you're not alone in this.
And Idra stepped past that fearand is walking in a ministry
that God called her to walk in.
And he's calling you to walkinto a ministry.
It may not be exorcism, but inorder for you to be impactful

(15:32):
for the kingdom of God, yougotta get rid of your demons.
Matt, I'm gonna step throughsome of the exorcisms that Idra
has been involved in.
We're talking major league.
Idra has worked with Satanistswho have been ritually abused
Satanic ritual abuse victims.
She has worked with high-endcall girls who were Christians

(15:58):
and couldn't understand why theywere prostituting themselves to
extremely wealthy businessmen.
So she's been all across theboard in her practice, in her
ministry, helping people, bothmen and women.
So, idra, I'm gonna come backto you for just a minute and I

(16:20):
would like for you, if youwouldn't mind, as a start, let's
talk about the Satanic ritualabuse victim that you worked
with for many years and that's atestimony to the compassion of
Idra.
She worked with this woman formany years until she became
restored, healed through thepower of exorcism and the Holy

(16:44):
Spirit, emotionally healed, restored, and now is an actual
therapist.
This is the power of exorcism.
So, idra, would you mindstepping through how did you
meet this Satanic ritual abusevictim and some of the sessions
and experience that you had withher?

Speaker 2 (17:05):
I was holding weekly meetings and at the close of one
of the meetings, a woman I'dnever seen before came up to me
and said I am a Satanic ritualabuse survivor.
I looked her right in the eyeand said you have come to the

(17:26):
right place.
She tells me she will neverforget that moment.
She had been born into a familycoven that worshiped Lucifer
and they had experiencedprogramming ritual abuse, all
kinds of abuse you can't imagine.

(17:47):
Things were done to her by hermother and her dad.
They were so evil that it hadto have been inspired by the
demonic, because humans can'tthink up those kinds of things
to do to their own child.
She was incest by her fatherfor as far back as she can

(18:13):
remember.
She was hiding in a closet onetime, at the age of four,
because she heard him come homeand she knew he would be coming
to her room to molest her.
And she was hiding in thecloset.
She felt something touch hershoulder and she thought he had
found her.
But when she turned her head itwas Jesus.

(18:35):
And Jesus said to her I can'tstop him from doing that, but I
will never leave you.
I will always be here for you.
So she had a marvelousrevelation of Christ.
At the age of four.
She was incest by her fatherand became pregnant and had gave

(19:01):
birth to her first child at theage of 13.
That child was.
She was forced to sacrifice toLucifer.
She named that little baby girlAngel.
Later, when she was 19, she hada second child and she was
forced to sacrifice that childto Lucifer.

(19:25):
There are arranged marriages, and so the coven arranged for
her to marry someone from adifferent coven organization or
a different generational covenwith similar beliefs and rituals

(19:47):
, and she had forgotten.
She had buried all of thehideous things that had happened
to her because she justcouldn't handle the emotional
pain and horror of what hadtaken place.

(20:09):
It was so confusing to herbecause her family lived a
double life, because they wentto church on Sunday and because
her grandmother was a deacon inthe deaconess in the church they
attended, she had a key, and soon other nights they would have

(20:33):
ceremonies and rituals in thebasement of the church, and it
was confusing to go to churchand then go through those kind
of rituals.
Her dad was a baseball coach, her mother was a model.
They just looked like idealcitizens.
And she reached a point when oneof her daughters was sexually

(20:55):
molested by a school teacherthat all of a sudden the Pandora
box opened up and she beganremembering all of the things
that had happened to her.
She had developed personalitiesto hold the pain to sexual

(21:16):
abuse, the outrage at injustice.
She had many personalities.
We call it MPD MultiplePersonality Disorder or
Dissociative Identity Disorder.
We have learned that it is nota disorder.
It is a gift from God to helppeople cope with it.

(21:41):
Things that they aretraumatized by and are forced
into that they have no controlover.
And so I began ministering toher and we had a lot of healing
that we needed to do with thesedifferent personalities.
And she had so many levels ofpersonalities that she told me

(22:05):
later that there were some ofthe personalities never came
forward and we never got to knowthem for months and months
because they had to feel safe.
They were just watching how Itreated her and how I worked
with the other personalities tobring healing to them and get
them to a safe place emotionally.

(22:27):
And she has been.
It's been a process of growth.
It's always a process as she'sgrown.
She was seeing a psychiatristand was living in housing for
people who are mentally unstableand her psychiatrist said to

(22:48):
her I don't know what thispastor is doing with you, but
you're not mentally ill anymoreand I don't need to see you
anymore, and I thought that wasa great plus.
I have worked with this lovelywoman of God for all 13 years.
When she first came to us shewould not look you in the eye,

(23:11):
she would not smile, she couldnot take communion because in
the coven she had been forced toeat human flesh and drink human
blood, and now she servescommunion to the family of God,
which I think is a great victory.
She was a counselor for 23years and she is now serving on

(23:38):
my team and is a valuable memberof my Do what Jesus Did team.
She is just such a great help.
She spots things that I wouldn'tnotice because of her
professional training andexperience.
She's just an invaluabletreasure and she gives all the

(23:59):
glory to Jesus because until shefound us she didn't know that
God would really help her andthey were really a way out of
the torment.
Her first baby was sacrificedon Valentine's Day, so every
time it would get to beValentine season you go to the

(24:22):
store.
You just see all the heartshapes and all that she would
start being tormented by demonicforces because she had been
forced to sacrifice her child.
What is it's time for?
The birth date or the sacrificedate of the second baby?
Same thing would happen, butnow that doesn't happen.

(24:42):
She is just so set free.
She's delightful.
I enjoy her so much.
She has become one of mydearest friends.

Speaker 1 (24:53):
This is exorcism.
Folks, this is exorcism and tohear the healing, restoring
power of Jesus Christ, theamount of abuse that her client
had been through.
And some of you listening rightnow may have actually been
raised in a coven and haveexperienced many of the things

(25:16):
that Idra was sharing, but thisis the level of exorcism that
Idra has been involved with.
She has a wealth of experiencein the compassion to work with
someone for 14 years.
Imagine that's a servant'sheart.
It's not going up to an altarand screaming come out and

(25:39):
you're free and you're done infive minutes.
That's what's very unique aboutDr Bob Larson's training and
education and certifications.
We are trained to spend a lotof time with people because they
need it In order to get to thedemons.
You have to work very closelywith people and be a support

(26:01):
system for them.
I myself am currently workingwith a client who is
disassociative.
She has differentdisassociative identities that
she works through, and a lot ofthe clients that I work with and
I'm sure Idra you as well.
This is a situation that isquite common, especially with

(26:25):
people who's been throughtremendous amount of trauma.
So I just wanted to stepthrough that because it's
wonderful to see the hand ofJesus Christ, take somebody
victimized by Satan At thatlevel and to be healed,
emotionally restored and nowserving communion, loving Jesus

(26:46):
Christ and part of Idra'sexorcism team.
That's awesome, idra.
Before we step into anotherclient that you've worked with,
I'd like to ask you a questionand I'd like you to share
thoughts with the audience.
In your many years of being anexorcist, working
compassionately with people, I'msure you have seen patterns in

(27:09):
people's lives, emotionalpatterns, and many of the
listeners that are listeningright now have those emotional
patterns that cause themcrippling anxiety, isolation,
depression, worthlessness, thesetypes of patterns.
Can you give some wisdom to thelisteners on how that they can

(27:36):
begin to break free from thesepatterns that keep them isolated
?
They are stuck in life.
They feel like there's no wayout.
This is just a way that theyhave to live with the numb
feeling, the disconnect, notreally being able to emotionally
connect with people.

(27:56):
They're caught up in depression, isolation, sorrow and a bunch
of other things that people justsay hey, this is my life, I
have to live with this, it'sjust life.
And in some strange way, sometimes people even accept
these alcohol torments as thoughthey're friends.
Hey, if I can't get rid of them.

(28:18):
I might as well just acceptthem and learn to admire them.
I was working with a clientrecently.
That was her way of handlingher feelings that wouldn't go
away.
So your thoughts, idra, onthese types of patterns in
people, the people that arelistening right now, and how
that they can begin to breakfree from these terrible,

(28:41):
tormenting emotional patterns?

Speaker 2 (28:44):
One of the first things that needs to be done is
to be honest with yourself, andsometimes it's hard to do,
because if you have been livingmaybe all your life with
something you don't evenrecognize, that you're caught in

(29:06):
a whirlpool and you can't getout.
So be willing to be honest withyourself, ask God to give you
the grace and also ask God toshow you what he wants you to
know, and he will.
And we never need to be afraidwhen we do that, because God has

(29:34):
a heart of love for us.
He knows the frailty andlimitations of our humaneness
and he will show you what youneed to know and he will help
you begin to define and pinpointand recognize that what you

(29:58):
have perceived may be incorrector that you have responded to it
in the only way you knew how atthe time.
But now you belong to Christ.
All of His power is availableto you to turn that around.

(30:24):
There is I'm working withsomeone right now who, as a very
small child, did not feelprotected by their parent.
They did not feel like theywere listened to or valued and,

(30:45):
as a result, they have been setup by the enemy, and she views
life through those tainted ortinted lenses, that I'm not
valued, I'm not respected, I'mnot being listened to, and it

(31:07):
has caused terrible chaos in herprofessional life and in her
personal life.
But we are coming to a placewhere she's beginning to
recognize what's going on sothat she can stand up against it
and say oh no, I'm not going togo that way anymore.
That's not what God says, that's not what God is doing in

(31:30):
my life.
I'm not going to go back intothat pattern and be caught up in
that whirlpool.
And it's a process.
It takes time, it takes grace.
We have to give ourselves somegrace to make changes.
We have to give other peoplegrace to make changes.

(31:51):
I always ask people if they knowhow to tie their shoes.
Everybody does.
So I ask them well, were youborn knowing how to tie your
shoes?
Well, no, how did you learn?
Well, somebody taught me.
I always ask them well, did youdo it perfect the first time?
Well, no, but you kept at it,and now you can tie your shoes

(32:15):
without even thinking about it.
And it's the same way withdealing with changes that God is
making in our lives.
When we start going against andbreaking, pulling down
strongholds, the word of Godsays, the weapons of our warfare

(32:36):
are not carnal, earthly, nothuman wisdom, but they're
mightier to God to pull downstrongholds.
So if you had a stronghold ofrejection, you're going to
recognize when that comes at youand it hits you that you're
being rejected, not respected, not listened to, you could stop

(32:58):
and say I'm not going to go downthat road anymore.
I recognize what this is.
God, help me to respond the wayyou want me to.
Help me to see this the way youwant me to.
It's the process, just likelearning how to tie your shoes.

Speaker 1 (33:14):
That's excellent, excellent Advice, a great
analogy.
As all of you know listening, Iam huge on a combination of
psychology counseling therapyplus exorcism, and so what we're
talking about there is how towork through emotional issues

(33:38):
that we have.
And I go back to what Idra saidearlier you have to be honest
with yourself.
That's just a fact.
In general, even in 12-stepprograms, people will say, man,
you have to hit bottom beforeyou can change, and sometimes
hitting bottom means just beingflat out honest.
I have an issue when I wasworking with a client the other

(34:00):
day and I said you didn't askfor the rejection, you didn't
ask to be neglected, abandonedor abused.
You didn't ask for that.
As a child, you didn't ask forthat.
Your parents did that.
Ultimately, satan did thatbehind them through generational
curses, but the point being, you didn't ask for that, so
let's get rid of it.

(34:21):
And this client was like thelight went on.
You know what?
You're right.
I didn't ask for this.
Satan did this to me and, yes,her parents needed to take
ownership of it, but for thatmoment in time the light went on
for her.
And so then we can startworking toward exorcism and

(34:43):
casting and expelling out thesedemons that have entered through
the traumas, through theauthority of Christ.
Now let's get back to exorcismand demons.
A lot of Christians listeningIdra I don't know how, but they
still, to today, believe thatChristians cannot have demons.
Some of the listeners dobelieve Christians can have

(35:05):
demons, but they're OK, doesn'tmatter that they were raped,
incested, molested.
We're going to block all thatout.
I'm fine, I don't have demons.
Them other people have demons, but I don't have demons.
So there's a wide range of anaudience here.
But bringing the focus back todemons and Christianity, I

(35:26):
recall you mentioned to me thatyou were working with a client
that was a Christian thatsomehow got into being a high
end call girl, a prostitute whowas going to extremely wealthy
businessmen and making all kindsof money, and this totally

(35:47):
contradicts her Christiandoctrine, her Christian
upraising, understanding firstof all that having sex before
marriage is a sin and so forth.
So she understood all this, butsomething was driving her to
this behavior.
Could you share that story withthe audience so that maybe by

(36:10):
sharing this, they can begin tounderstand and put the puzzle
pieces together of what might begoing on in their life?
Now, they're not allprostitutes, but they can take
the information and definitelyapply it to their lives.
So can you share that storywith us, please?

Speaker 2 (36:29):
Yes, I do want to start with the fact that a lot
of people don't recognize theCryune being that we are.
We are made in God's image.
We are spirit, soul and bodyand a lot of people don't know
the difference between theirsoul and their spirit.
And my soul is my mind, the wayI think, my emotions, the way I

(36:55):
feel.
And when we come to Christ, according to John 3.6, we are
born again in our spirit.
Jesus said that which is bornof this Holy Spirit is your
spirit.
So when I'm born again, I amborn again in my spirit, man.
My soul, which is my mind, theway I think, my emotions, the

(37:19):
way I feel and the way I makechoices, is not born again.
That's the part of my life thathas to make a conscious choice,
to begin to learn to walk withGod.
The religious word for it issanctification, but that simply

(37:40):
means learning to walk with God.
That's the process and that'swhere demons hide, that's where
legal rights are, that's wheregenerational curses operate and
sometimes that will dovetailover into the physical body.
So this young lady contacted me.
She had been born into andraised in a loving Christian

(38:04):
home, except a crisis.
A little girl Went to collegemarried her college sweetheart.
Doesn't that sound like theAmerican love story dream?
The marriage turned out to beabusive and end of the end of
worse, and for some reason shejust at that point became a

(38:25):
highly paid call girl.
I appreciate the fact that herfamily did not turn against her.
They loved her.
They were horrified and dideverything they could to help
her break out of that lifestyle.
And when she came to me shesaid I don't want to continue
this, but it seems to be theonly thing I know Now.

(38:48):
Just keep in mind this younglady had a college degree, but
the enemy had taken such a gripon her soul that she felt like
that's the only thing she coulddo.
So I began to work with her, andthose of us who do exorcism
recognize certain demonic forces.
They have fingerprints and thiscertain kind of demon would

(39:12):
show up.
I would divide soul and spiritand ask to speak to the one that
God wanted to deal with in thissneering, smirky smile would
show up on her face and weministered maybe three or four
sessions and finally I saidwe're not going to play games
anymore.
You're going to tell me who youare Now.
I thought I knew the name ofthis demon, because usually that

(39:36):
is the demon behind sexualperversion, lustation, incest,
prostitution, all that stuff.
And finally I pressed it and itsaid Asteroth.
Asteroth is an Old Testamentgoddess that was the counterpart
to Baal.
I found out that demon hadbrought a curse of prostitution

(40:02):
into the family line generationsago.
The minute the demon said itsname, asteroth, I said did
someone in past generationsserve as a temple prostitute for
Asteroth?
Yes, and that principle or thatfact comes through in so many

(40:29):
situations because trauma, abuse, privation, curses are passed
from generation to generationthrough the DNA.
There is a study it's calledEpigenetics and there's a very
easy to read book called itDidn't Start With you.

(40:50):
And that's really true.
That title is really truebecause, justin, all of us have
DNA.
They go all the way back toAdam and I have had demons of
murder tell me that they havebeen in that family line since
Cain killed Abel.
We can't deny the possibilitythat someone in our family line

(41:15):
may have said or done somethingthat gave Satan permission to
put a curse on our family.
However, we can break thatcurse and put a stop to it.
You can say to yourself and tothe devil this curse stops here,
the curse stops now.

Speaker 1 (41:35):
Generational curses.
That's what it boils back tofor many people, and you guys
have heard that discussed quiteoften on here.
So when someone in present dayis drawn to darkness, is drawn
to something that is not goodSomebody's drawn to prostitution

(41:58):
in that case right.
Somebody is drawn towardwitchcraft.
Someone is drawn toward anger, rage and murder and fighting.
Something's pushing and nudgingpeople to that, and it is the
DNA passed on which containsancestral curses.
I think it's so important forall of us to understand.

(42:19):
Like Idra was explaining, we'rethree parts.
Our spirit becomes born again, but our soul that's where the
curses are Emotions, mind, ourthoughts, our decisions that's
where the curses are.
That's where the demons are.
They can enter your soulgenerationally, at birth.
They can enter your soulthrough things we do in life,

(42:41):
like tarot card readings, visiting a psychic rakey, energy
healing, many, many things, smoking marijuana, whatever.
There's so many things we cando ignorantly, unaware, that
open our soul up for demons.
And I mentioned this lastepisode.
Satan is like a cancer.
He eats at you slowly, overtime.

(43:02):
He's not just going to pop upand in two days, destroy your
life.
It takes time and he's verymethodical about it and he's
very patient and his ultimategoal is to kill you.
That's it.
That's it, and the whole time.
What's bizarre to me is that weall think we're in control and

(43:22):
we're puppets on strings.
There's Christians that make somuch money that they don't even
go to church, and they make somuch money that they might drop
a big chunk of it into a churchor into a mission or something
like that, but they're reallynot serving Christ because
Christ isn't their God.
Money is Mammoth, you know, andthat's kind of what this

(43:48):
discussion around generationalcurses come back to Like.
We have to make God number oneand break these curses, even
when it comes to generationalmoney.
That can be a curse, as crazyas that sounds, because if you
have all the money in the worldand lose your soul and go to
hell, game one by Satan.
I just wanted to throw that outthere for contemplation.

Speaker 2 (44:12):
If I have the opportunity to dig deep enough,
almost always we will uncover agenerational curse.
I was ministering to a youngman who was an Afghan veteran.
He came home with serious PTSDand had tried to commit suicide

(44:32):
four times.
As we were going through thepreliminary part of the process,
a Holy Spirit prompted me toadd a word in his confession of
Christ and he had not beenhaving any problems repeating
after me.
But when I said say I renouncedthe spirit of blood lust, he

(44:56):
couldn't say the word.
We discovered that in the timein human history when the Romans
invaded Britain that one of hisBritish ancestors had committed
a human sacrifice to get thepower to win battles over the
Romans and because of that therewas a curse of death, murder

(45:22):
and blood lust on the familyline.
Now the time in human history issomewhere between 300 and 400
AD when the Romans invadedBritain.
He told me later.
He said you didn't know this, but we did a DNA test and we're
mostly Brit on my father's side.

(45:44):
So that helped him realize thisis really real and we got him
healed, set free and he is now acounselor and his goal is to
help other veterans so theydon't commit suicide.
So generational curses are veryimpactful, and something else

(46:10):
that I don't like to leave outis that sometimes in our
background, every generationwasn't bad.
There may be generationalblessings that we've been robbed
of, because John 1010, jesus, tells us that the enemy comes to
steal, kill and destroy, andone of the first things he tries

(46:31):
to steal is your identity andyour destiny, and he will try to
steal the blessings that shouldbe coming to you down through
the family line.

Speaker 1 (46:42):
That is so true.
He is a thief.
The other day I was workingwith the client and the chief
spirit from the curse.
This was fascinating.
I won't get into the details ofthe curse and everything around
it, but, long story short, satan had stolen her finances,
her destiny, and I said, throughthe authority of Christ, give

(47:06):
it back, give it back, releaseit, give it back to this child
of God.
You have no right to it.
And it's to your point, ydra, where we do have blessings come
down and they're rightfully oursfrom our Christian ancestry.
Each of us have had Christiansin our ancestry.
And now this young lady is justnow starting to walk in

(47:31):
financial freedom and gettingherself back, and she herself
wants to be a therapist to helppeople.
It's interesting how many peoplego through exorcism, inner
healing, and they become stablein their mind.
They become stable in theirthinking, their finances, their

(47:52):
life, their decision making, because they're not being
influenced by demons orancestral curses.
They're free.
And when they're freed up, italways surprises me, and I fall
into this camp as well.
Being an exorcist, I want tohelp people.
I don't want people to sufferthe way I did the majority of my
life, and that's what I find tobe the case with a lot of

(48:13):
people, not all.
Some people get freed up andjust carry on in life, and
that's fine.
But a lot of the times peopleget freed up and they want to
serve in a wonderful capacity tohelp people so that they can
end their suffering and torment.
At the end of every episode, idra, I always ask my guests to

(48:34):
offer words of encouragement tothe audience, because there are
people listening right now thatare terrified of exorcism and
they know they have demons.
There are people listeningright now who don't think they
have demons and they do becauseof that fear.
They're just unwilling to behonest with themselves.
And also there are peoplelistening who aren't Christians.

(48:57):
Welcome, I think it's awesomethat y'all are coming and
listening.
Keep coming back, man.
But there are people, idra, that know they have demons and
know that they need help.
So there's a lot of people herewith different mindsets as they
listen.
I'd like to ask you, at 85years old, with all the

(49:19):
exorcisms that you've done, allthe pain that you've seen in
people's lives, all the painthat you've seen healed by the
love and compassion of JesusChrist, with all of that
experience, could you take aminute or two and offer words of
encouragement to people who arelistening.

Speaker 2 (49:40):
I would be honored to .
Justin, I want you to know thatexorcism, healing and
deliverance is not spooky andweird.
It is very gentle, it's mostlyvery quiet and we don't go
faster than you can go.

(50:01):
God knows you, he loves you,he's not going to make you go
faster than you can go.
And I want you to know rightnow, no matter where you're at
in your growth and maturity inChrist, you are fully equipped

(50:22):
and you can ask God to help youlearn how to walk in what he has
equipped you with Be in theWord, speak the Word, meditate
on the Word, sing the Word, worship with the Word.
That is such a powerful thing.

(50:45):
Proverbs 18, 21 says that thepower of life and death is in
the tongue.
So be careful what you allowyourself to verbalize.
You can go to God and pour yourheart out to Him.
There's no right way or wrongway to pray, just pour your

(51:08):
heart out.
You can tell God what you want, what your heart desire is.
Jesus, in the Garden ofGethsemane, did that Three times
.
He said Father, if it waspossible, let this cup of
suffering pass for me For thelast, not my will, but your will

(51:29):
.
So we have my example, christpouring his heart out what his
heart desire was, but he alwaysturned it over to God's will.
And we can do that.
There is something that I callthe one, two, three punch that
will help you win every time.
Are you ready?

(51:50):
Number one focus on Jesus.
Number two say what God says.
Number three make up your mind, make a decision that, no matter
what happens or doesn't happen, you're going to put your trust

(52:10):
in God and you will win everytime.

Speaker 1 (52:16):
Awesome If this interview has touched you, if
Idris Hart of Compassion hastugged at your heart a little
bit and you feel like you'd liketo work with Idris.
