What would happen if we created brand new holidays based on our favorite biblical stories? That's exactly what we explore in this joyful, imaginative segment of Boundless Bible.

Diving into scripture with fresh eyes, Javi shares his dream of a holiday celebrating King David's uninhibited dance before the Ark of the Covenant. Imagine a day dedicated to pure, unfiltered worship—where like David, we cast aside dignity and self-consciousness to express our joy before God with our entire beings. As Javi puts it, "that must have been the time of his life," a moment worth commemorating through music and movement.

Jason takes us to the valley of dry bones from Ezekiel 37, envisioning a holiday centered on restoration and new life. The vivid imagery of scattered bones coming together, taking on flesh, and receiving the breath of God speaks to Jason on a profound level. His proposed celebration focuses on sharing hope, bringing communities together, and demonstrating how God revitalizes what appears lifeless and forgotten.

Meanwhile, David suggests a playful summer holiday commemorating Jesus walking on water. Picture beach gatherings where people attempt to "walk" across the surface before inevitably splashing in—a lighthearted yet meaningful way to remember one of Christ's most iconic miracles. This blend of reverent commemoration and joyful play perfectly captures how scripture continues to inspire both awe and delight in our modern lives.

What biblical moment would you transform into a holiday? Listen in, then share your own ideas with us. Together, let's discover new ways to celebrate the timeless stories that shape our faith.

Holloway.

Jason (00:14):
Quick questions with David.
All right, guys, we're backwith some quick questions.
I'm totally going to make ajingle one day.

David (00:19):
I'm not kidding, so, David what do you got for us
today?
This is one of my favoriteparts of the week.
Actually, I love doing this.
So if you were going to inventa new holiday based on a
biblical event, what would it beand how would we celebrate it?

Jason (00:32):
I have always loved King David dancing like a madman when
he got the Holy of Holies back.
And what is it they say?
Like you know, you're making afool of yourself.
You're embarrassing yourself.
Yes, man, that must.
What is it they say?
Like you know, you're making afool of yourself, you're
embarrassing yourself.
Yes, man, that must have beenthe time of his life.
So that is the holiday I wouldcreate.
It'd be like some crazy dancingmusical holiday where you're
just like going bonkers and justenjoying yourself.

(00:55):
And just because, what is hedoing in that moment?
He's praising God, he'sworshiping every part of his
body and I just think that's so.
That's, that's a fun holiday.
I love that.

David (01:08):
So do I doing the white man's overbite while dancing?
For me, mine would be theholiday of dry bones from
Ezekiel 37.
Okay, again it's, it's almostthe same thing, just raised up
in this joy.
It's God raising up his peopleand giving them that hope.
And for me, you know, raisingup the dry and giving them that
hope, uh, and for me, you know, raising up the dry bones has
always just been this justreally cool visual.

(01:30):
Yeah, I don't think you couldhave, I don't think you can read
that verse without, yeah, seriously visualizing dry bones,
uh, getting up and and startingto move again.
Um, and to celebrate it thatday, we're just going to share
the beauty of the message ofChrist with everybody, just
share that hope with everybody, and we're all going to worship

(01:51):
and celebrate together and justbe one as as dry bones were and
now we're in motion.
I think that would be myholiday.

Jason (01:59):
I get.

David (01:59):
Coco vibes from that.

Jason (02:00):
I get, I get Coco, I love it.

Javi (02:03):
You can make some good rhythm with some bones.
That's true, that's awesome.
Um, the first thing I thinkabout is Jesus walking on water.
Um, how do you celebrate that?
You can celebrate it by jumpingin the pool and like and just,
or at the beach and just tryingto jump on water, trying to like
, walk on water, you know, andjust kind of making it a splash

(02:23):
around, chilling out, coolingout day in the water.
You almost Will Smith there, didn't you?

Jason (02:29):
You almost summertime Did I almost rhyme there?

David (02:31):
Yeah, totally.
You see those videos of peoplewhere they like jump, just touch
the water and pull their feetout.

Javi (02:35):
That's what I'm talking about.
Yeah, you're trying to walk, and then maybe you count like
whoever did the most.

David (02:40):
I'm too heavy for that.
I'd fall right in.
What day of the year would thatbe?

Javi (02:43):
What day of the year it has to be in August, or
something has to be in August.

Jason (02:45):
Yeah, absolutely August is a good month, All right.
Well, I'll remember.
I'll remind you to celebratehappy feet on the water.

Javi (02:52):
It would have to be a beach.
