Have you ever experienced a moment when divine presence felt so real it changed everything? That's exactly what we explore in this heartfelt conversation about encountering God in our most vulnerable moments.

David takes us through a powerful testimony of identity crisis after suffering a devastating bicep tear that threatened everything he thought defined him. As someone whose self-worth was entirely wrapped up in physical strength—from military service to professional fighting—facing permanent limitation forced a profound spiritual reckoning. What he discovered in that dark moment was a God who redefined his worth beyond physical capability, resulting in both spiritual transformation and what David describes as a miraculous physical recovery.

Meanwhile, Jason reveals how prayer becomes his divine meeting ground. When interceding for others, he experiences a beautiful surrender where personal pressure dissolves into divine partnership. The realization that people don't need his wisdom but God's wisdom through him creates a peace that transforms his approach to supporting others.

Perhaps most surprising is Javi's confession that this very podcast represents his divine appointment. After weeks of praying "Use me, Lord" during worship, the invitation to join Boundless Bible initially received his firm "no"—only to be immediately reversed when he recognized God's answer to his prayers appearing in unexpected form. His story perfectly captures how God's timing often challenges our comfort zones while perfectly aligning with our deepest spiritual desires.

What's your story of God meeting you where you are? We'd love to hear how the divine has intersected with your journey at precisely the moment you needed it most. Subscribe, share your experiences in the comments, and join our conversation about the boundless ways God shows up in our lives.

David (00:02):
Welcome to the Boundless Bible.
My name is David Shapiro, hey,I'm Javi Marquez and I'm Jason
Holloway no jingle today.
No.

Jason (00:18):
Just a.
Javi was so excited for thejingle, aw man, but no, no
jingle today.
Guys, quick questions withdavid.
It is monday morning and we areexcited to hear what you got
for us today.
Let's do it all right, here wego.

David (00:30):
When did god meet you, right where you are?
And I'll actually start withthis one.
So I remember it was probablyabout six or seven years ago.
I had sustained a prettygruesome injury to my right
bicep I.
I tore it off and when I waswith the doctors, the doctors
said, hey, you're going to losea lot of strength with your arm,
and they were telling me allthe limitations I'm going to

(00:52):
have.
At that point, and before that, everything in my life was
physical.
I had always done physicallabor as work I've always done.
I was a professional fighter, Iwas in the military, so I

(01:25):
actually equated my entireself-worth with my physicality.
And then to be told that onehalf of your arm is not going to
be working.
Well, that was the moment atwhich I kind of shut down and I
thought, man, this is the worstnews I could have possibly ever
gotten.
Uh, and I think that God met meat that moment, right where I
was, and really put that this isnot who you are, who you are as
my child, and I really startedto focus on his word and and
just, it was just a beautifulmoment where God met me right
where I.
I was where I needed him atthat very moment and brought me
out of a pretty dark placepretty quickly.
I have to give it to him.

(01:46):
He brought me out of a prettydark place pretty quickly, I
have to give it to him.
He brought me out of thatpretty quickly and performed
miracles, because I've lostalmost nothing years later as
far as strength in my arm no way.
So it was just a beautifulmoment, so thank God.

Javi (01:56):
I beat you arm wrestling the other day, man.
Not a chance, no you didn't.

Jason (02:00):
No, you didn't.
I don't think if we both armwrestled him, we would win.

Javi (02:05):
You're up, pop For me.
God meets me when I pray forpeople.
I really feel, when I'm reallybeing intentional and really
seeking God in prayer andpraying for others, I really
feel like he meets me there.
He meets me there in a sense ofgiving me the words, giving me
the strength, giving me the pushto actually be there for others

(02:28):
and I really feel that he'slike right next to me and he's
able to really calm my mind, really calm my heart and know
that is not about me, it's abouthim and with that, gives me
peace.
Cause now that that thatpressure of going, I need to
show up for this person, I needto provide, I need to give them
the answer.
I don't have one.

(02:49):
They're not asking for me,they're not asking for my wisdom
, they're asking for God'swisdom and I'm able to meet that
there.
I'm able to be a vessel for God.

Jason (03:00):
I was going to say.
I think that's a great answerbecause I could see that without
you having to say that oh wow.
I appreciate that about you, jason, look for me.
God knows I need him a lot, sohe meets me often, but I think
one of the most interestingtimes he's met me is in this
podcast.

(03:21):
I mean, you guys approached meat one point and said, hey,
let's do this.
And I?
My immediate reaction wasabsolutely not, that's not going
to happen.
And within the same second Ihad said that, I remembered that
I had been praying for weeks onend.

Javi (03:34):
You know, use me.

Jason (03:35):
Lord, use me, Lord, use me, Lord, Cause we were singing
that song in church a lot atthat period in time and and it
hit me and I realized that thiswas the answer to the prayer of
how will you use me.
And within the same fiveseconds that I said no, I said
yes, with a big cautionary faceI'm sure, but I said yes.
And that's the time that Godmet me there and I will always

(03:58):
be appreciative of that moment.

Javi (03:58):
I'll be honest, it's kind of hard to say no to David.
Also true, also true.
I'm just saying that I'm veryglad you said yes.

Jason (04:04):
Well, no, you can say no to him, but you're going to have
to say no 47,000 times 490times.
Because, he's not giving 497times 7, right 70 times 7.

David (04:15):
Well, I do appreciate that you did say yes.
Yes, this has been anincredible ride so far and I'm
looking forward to all the otherthings we're going to do in the
future.

Javi (04:23):
God bless you guys, man Thanks guys have a good one.
Later.
