Celebrating 250 episodes calls for reflection, and in this milestone conversation, Brad and Hugo take us on a journey through the evolution of The Brad Weisman Show podcast. What started as a solo venture in Brad's bedroom during the pandemic—armed with just a microphone, mixer, and a laptop—has blossomed into a dynamic show with a fully equipped studio and walls adorned with meaningful mementos from past episodes.

They share candid insights about their growth, from the strategic name change (formerly "Real Estate and You") that freed them from topical constraints, to Hugo's gradual integration from behind-the-scenes voice to essential co-host. Their chemistry shines through as they reminisce about standout moments with guests ranging from centenarian World War II veterans to Super Bowl champions, Hollywood actors, and thought leaders who've graced their studio.

Beyond the entertaining stories lies a profound purpose that drives the podcast forward: the potential to positively impact even one listener's life. Brad shares a powerful anecdote about how a single person who helped Ed Mylett's father overcome alcoholism unknowingly created a ripple effect that has since touched millions through Ed's work. This philosophy—that you never know when your words might make all the difference—fuels their commitment to meaningful conversations.

Looking ahead to their next milestone (300 episodes approaching in less than a year), Brad and Hugo share their wishlist for future guests including Steve Harvey, Damon West, Ed Mylett and many others, while expressing their desire to feature more musical performances and self-development topics. Most importantly, they extend heartfelt gratitude to their audience, inviting more engagement through comments and guest suggestions. Join us every Thursday at 7pm as we continue building this community one conversation at a time.

"I'm so blessed to have a vessel to share my curiosity of people and their stories.  I hope you all have enjoyed many of the 250 episodes and I look forward to upping my game with each and every future guest! Thank YOU!!" - Brad Weisman

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Rock and roll.

Speaker 2 (00:00):
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
From real estate, the market as a whole, which then
sometimes will affect the 10.
Right, the real life.
We all learn in different ways.
If you think about it, wayneDyer might not attract everybody
and everything in between.
Mission was really to helppeople just to reach their full
potential.

Speaker 2 (00:23):
The Brad Wiseman Show , and now your host Brad Wiseman
.

Speaker 1 (00:29):
All right, yeah, this is going to be a different show
.
We made it.
We made it.
Yeah.
What did we make, though?
Exactly you know what I mean.
Yes, so, yeah.
So this is the 250th episode.
Doesn't it seem like it wasjust yesterday that it was the
200th episode?

Speaker 2 (00:49):
That's right, and all these walls were gray.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Yes, it's right.
Yeah, that's right.
Everything's so different,right?

Speaker 2 (00:55):
Very humble beginnings.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
I mean, when you first started, I was not even
part of this.

Speaker 1 (00:59):
I think you started in the pandemic right.
Yeah, I started in my bedroomwith a microphone, this
microphone, this mixer and mylaptop.
That was it.
It was just me and I was doingstreaming what I did.
I would call people.
The first guest was JustinPerella and I had said to him
look, do you mind being a guineapig?

(01:20):
And he said, yeah, sure I'll doit.
And he did.
And he did it.
Sure I'll do it.
And he did, and he did, andthat was the first show.
That's how it started.
You know, I didn't know what Iwas getting into, I didn't know,
you know, how long I'd be doingit.
It's just one of those things, you know, just do it.
And I was bored, like everybodyelse was.
During COVID.
There's a lot of stories.
We've heard over 250 episodes.
How many times have we heardwell, during COVID is when I

(01:42):
started.
Well, during COVID is when Istarted doing this.
It's a very common thing.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Yeah, it was a prompter for a lot of people to
explore.
You know something new to doand look at where you are now.

Speaker 1 (01:56):
But it's funny how we piece the studio together.
You know what I mean.
It used to be like just gray, and then it went from gray to
you know, and it was one camera.
I'll never forget the firsttime that you did um, when you
did the show and you did it forme, I said, hey, I'd like to
have just like one show a month,be very professional and have
the video and all that stuff,Cause I used to just set up a,
an actual webcam right.

(02:17):
Little webcam and I would recordit that way.
And it was basically, you know, that's the way it went.
And then you showed me what itwould look like a little teaser.
Um, you showed me what it wouldlook like like done well, yeah,
and we I've never gone backsince, and then it was once a
month, then it was, ah, let's dotwice a month.
And now it's and now.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
But now, and even even after I started doing it,
you know just adding, you knowthe, the, the set design to all
the decoration, that you put up,everything in the wall.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
I think that it adds that touch of personality and
stories too, the stories, Ithink, because people do come in
and ask right, I mean people go, what's that, what's that?
And they want to know why.
There's a thing of mustard onthe wall, there's a bone.
Yeah, there's a bone.
There's everything here it's sotrue, we've got BroGlo.
In here We've got books.
We actually have more booksthan this.

(03:05):
We just can't put them all up.
But yeah, it's kind ofinteresting how it's evolved.
But I like it, I always feellike it feels like home when
we're here.
So we've had 250 guestsProbably.
Out of those 250, you've beeninvolved in probably almost 200
of them.
I'm thinking like the first 45to 50 were maybe on my own or

(03:26):
kind of combination, things likethat.
But yeah, so it's almost.
It's probably almost 200 thatwe've done together pretty well
and that's amazing too howthat's evolved.
Yeah, I mean it evolved.
You being more a part of theshow has evolved from.
Just you know, there was acouple of times I asked you a
question and I said, hey, youknow, what do you think of that?

(03:46):
And you hear this voice in thebackground.
So we did that for a while andI kind of liked the way that
went and then I was like wait aminute, why don't we just get
you a microphone?

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Yeah, that's right, that's right.
And I think it's fun.
Yeah, I like it, I like it.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
By the way, this is the 250th and last show for me.
It's now called the Hugo.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Show.
I remember too that the namechanged too.
It was not the Brad WeismanShow.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
It was Real Estate you.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Tell me that For the audience, for the new listeners,
the show used to be called RealEstate you, but tell me about
the prompter to make thattransition into a new name.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
I think that when that happened, we had an awesome
guest on.
He had just come off the SuperBowl as a quarterback and was
retiring and it's Chad Henneyand he's a local star here and
we brought him in the studio.
You remember that and it wasjust getting difficult trying to
wedge real estate into theconversation, even though you

(04:48):
didn't have to.
But when the show is calledReal Estate and you, you just
feel like you've got to wedgereal estate into it somehow and
I remember doing that.
I remember thinking, when I wastalking to Chad, how am I going
to?
So I did a spin on oh, he's aSuper Bowl champion coming back
to his hometown.
So that was the spin on realestate and we struggled with

(05:09):
this even before Chad westruggled with we're starting to
do a lot more than real estate, because it's really tough to do
a show for four weeks out of amonth on just real estate.
Things don't sometimes changethat much.
So, yeah, so I think theprocess was basically we talked
about.

Speaker 2 (05:27):
I think we talked about changing the name for like
six months to a year.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
And you know we went through.
Remember we had different namestoo.
Remember you came up with alist of names.
I did Susie did Susie.
Ray Design is a big part of theshow.
Tony Stevens is a big part ofthe show and a lot of that comes
from.
You know, we just sat around,we're like, okay, what should we
call the show?
And every time we came up witha name we felt like we were
pigeonholed into doing somethinga certain way, yeah, limited

(05:53):
and not able to diversify.
Exactly, and once again, youwould have to make sure that it
works within the confines of thename.
So I think that's what happened, and then eventually it took a
lot for me.
I did a lot of thinking atnighttime and finally I remember
saying that's it, we're pullingthe plug, it's going to be
changed.
This day we came out with awhole show about making the
change and it worked out great, and that's when it became the

(06:16):
Brad Wiseman.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
Show how about that shirt that you're wearing there.
Yeah, this shirt here you wouldtell me yeah, I like it you
like it.

Speaker 1 (06:23):
Yeah, there's a volume switch on the back so I
can turn it down a little bit.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
That's funny.
You need to wear sunglasses.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Yeah, I know, oh, I left mine upstairs, but no, the
only thing about it I want to dosomething that when people look
at the shows, when I'm wearinga weird shirt not my typical
plaid that means I'm celebratingsomething.
So we have different things tocelebrate.
We have our 250th episode.
We also not that we want tocelebrate this, but we want to
celebrate the people thatperished during the last week

(06:52):
was the 9-11 memorial and allthat stuff, and we just had a
guest on actually, that was twoweeks ago there was a guest on
that.
His father perished in the 9-11.

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Twin Towers.
Oh yeah, that's right, that'sright.

Speaker 1 (07:04):
Yeah, david Ferruccio .
And so, you know, just thinkingin that, and I thought, okay,
you know, that's another reasonto wear something patriotic.
And then, like I said, 250thyear of our country is next year
, 2026,.
We are 250 years old as acountry.
That's right.

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Crazy, right.
Yeah, that's cool, though Ilike it.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
I like it and I've always been patriotic.
So you know, speaking ofpatriotic, we've had a World War
II vet on here.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Oh, that was one.
I'm glad you mentioned that.
That was my favorite story.
Yeah, just to hear him talkMatt Gutman, matt Gutman, he was
.

Speaker 1 (07:36):
I think either 99 or just over 100.
And unfortunately he passedsince that episode aired.
If you get a chance you want tolook up Tyler Boland and he was
the guy that brought the WorldWar II vet and he's brought
another one to us also before.
Don't recall his name.
Matt guttman was here and uh,just an amazing amazing stories

(07:56):
if you want to hear some worldwar ii stories?
Man, that was a great show, great episode I remember he
brought all like a sword that hejust said, walked into a
japanese.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
You give me that, give me the sword, yeah yeah,
because he didn't want it.

Speaker 1 (08:08):
He knew that, hey, the guy could use it yeah, you
know the guy could use it.
He wanted to get it away fromhim, but those are great stories
.
I mean, that's pretty amazingthat he was in this studio.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
What are some of the stories?
That are impactful, orhilarious Because there are some
fun ones.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
There's some great ones.
I mean the one that stands outfor me, that had me laughing so
much was Dr Nate Tiedekin, mybuddy.
He's an orthopedic surgeon andhe had that story and you have
to listen to the show.
At the end of the show he toldthe story about getting his hair
cut.
And that is just a hilariousstory because he the haircut was
terrible and he goes back intothat salon member and the guy

(08:45):
that cut it was there and it wasjust that story.
You got to hear it.
It's just a great story andNate is great at telling you
stories Also.
He's great.
He's a great doctor, he's agreat, great person.
So he he was a good, good guestto have on, a great guest to
have on.
We'll have him back.

Speaker 2 (08:57):
Absolutely yeah, I really liked that I was also
thinking.

Speaker 1 (09:01):
You know, you look at how many people have been on
here several times.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
Pete obviously is on every month, right, every month.
I love the pre-show.
The pre-shows are funny yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
I think if we ever aired the pre-show, we would all
be stopping the show, right?
No, we always have a good time.
It's always a good timelaughing and getting together
with Pete.
He always has great information.
But, what's interesting,there's somebody else that's
been on not as much as Pete, buthas been on frequently
Stephanie Taramino from haveSome.

Speaker 2 (09:30):
Fun Today.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
And we have her hat back here.
She's represented in the studio, but she's been on probably
three or four times.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Four times.
I think it's four times.
Yeah, four times Three here inthe studio and one with me
before.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
So we always love having her on.
It'd be great to have her onagain.
Obviously she was awesome.
And you know, I think what'sreally cool is that over time
we've really kind of done a goodjob with a 50-50 of some out of
the area, some in the area.
We've made an effort to makesure we can keep local involved
but also reach out beyond localand have people from California.

(10:06):
We had somebody from Australiaon, had people from Germany that
one guy no, he was in Germany,I think was the one guy, but
yeah, that's that.
So I have to ask you, what doyou?
What do you think?
What do you think about theprogress of the show?

Speaker 2 (10:20):
I mean it's cool.
It's cool to see and you knowfrom the beginnings until now.
You know, as as as we celebratethis 250th episode, it makes me
think about where are we goingto head next, cause it's been
exciting, it's been pretty coolto see it growth.
I'm just curious and excitedalso for the show as we keep

(10:42):
growing, as more guests keepappearing and coming.
I'm just excited for that.
It's pretty cool.
It's been really nice.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
It's funny because how you've been worked into it.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Now, when I say your name, when I say something like
yeah, we like when Hugo's on, welike when he says something.
You know, I think they thinkDid you get comments, Did you
get?

Speaker 1 (11:02):
comments on the show.
Oh my gosh.
Yes, well, it's funny.
The comments I get are notmostly.
They're not always just on onon social media and things.
A lot of them are just when I'mout in public.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
I was just at the.

Speaker 1 (11:13):
Wawa recently and if you're not from around here,
it's like a convenience storeand I was going in to grab, I
think, a cup of coffee orsomething like that.
And it was just funny how a guythat I hadn't seen in years
sees me hey, brad, and then I'mlike, hey, what's up?
And I go to his car and he goesand we were talking just kind
of catch up a little.
He goes by the way he goes.
I listen to every singleepisode.

(11:34):
Now here's a person that Ihaven't seen in a long time,
probably years, and he's like heknows the episodes.
I mean, he was very much intoit.
He's like, yeah, just keep doingit, man, it's so entertaining.
I listen to every one of them,so it's just cool that I've
gotten that many times wherepeople are like, by the way, I
really love the show, andsometimes they'll mention your
name and just say you know howit's cool that you're bringing

(11:55):
that element into it, and that'scool.
I appreciate it.
In fact, if you're listening tothis show, please comment.
You know, please say stuff.
You know.
The more you can comment, themore you can tell us what you
like and don't like, the betterthe show.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
Yeah, we like that feedback and it's necessary to
too.

Speaker 1 (12:13):
Oh, very much, so it's always welcome Very much so
yeah, so let's go over some ofthe other.
You know, I was kind of goingover this and it was interesting
looking at the guests and someof them we had Owen Estalison.
I mean, he's an actor, a bigactor.
He's been in some big moviesand you know he's been on here
twice.

Speaker 2 (12:32):
Is he the most famous guest we had?
What would you say you?

Speaker 1 (12:35):
know that's tough to say.
I'd say, you know Chad Henneywas at that moment.
And still, to this day, he'swon two Super Bowls.
You know, that's a big deal.
I think Owen Estalis isdefinitely right there with him.
I mean, Owen was.
You know, the movies he was inwas directed by Ron Howard.
I mean it.
He was playing a young JD Vance, who is now our vice president

(13:03):
of the United States.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (13:04):
That was who he was portraying as a young boy.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
That was based on his book, based on his life, yeah.
Yeah it's pretty interesting.

Speaker 1 (13:11):
Yeah, it's pretty cool Pretty cool, so I'd say him
you know who else?
Jeffrey St Eremon.
I mean he's on SellingManhattan or Ow Manhattan,
owning Manhattan, sellingManhattan?

Speaker 2 (13:21):
I can't think of one of those, yeah, one of those
owning.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
Manhattan selling Manhattan.
And yeah, so Michael Serhant, that's his show, but Jeffrey is
on it.

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
And we were had him on twice, that's true.
We had him on before he was onthat show and we had him on
again after that.

Speaker 2 (13:35):
Yeah, that's right, that's right.

Speaker 1 (13:37):
So you definitely want to check out that episode.
Those were pretty good Cause hegave us some inside information
on the drama on that realityshow which I think is kind of
cool.

Speaker 2 (13:46):
Yeah, that's pretty cool.
That was cool, it was fun.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
So, yeah, you know, and some of the ones that I
wasn't expecting or didn'treally know who they were, which
really blew my mind and reallymade an impression on me Sylvia
DiGiusto.
Oh yeah, I mean if she'slistening, I'm sure she will if
we tell her that she wasmentioned in here.

Speaker 2 (14:04):
She'll want to hear what we said hi, sylvie, no, but
we.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
She, you know, is one of those people that was not on
my radar, didn't really knowher, and she's incredible, yeah,
really incredible.
I think she, um, definitely was.
It was one of those timesyou're like I am so glad I'm
doing this yeah, and you knowwhat I see we're saying that.

Speaker 2 (14:22):
I remember that we first uh had her uh remotely, I
think, on the streaming and yes, absolutely yeah she stopped by
the studio and that that waspretty cool to meet her and see
we did, we had her on remotely.

Speaker 1 (14:34):
and then she was kind enough, she was in new york
doing something and then she wasgoing to go to philly to speak
and she said, uh, you know, I'mgoing to be in that area and I'm
like, okay, you want to come in, do it.
And then she did, and it wasgreat.
We had her on two times in avery short period of time.
Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:48):
And we went to see her the next day too.

Speaker 1 (14:50):
Went to see her the next day down in Philly.
She spoke there and she wasvery dynamic.
Oh yeah, Great speaker.
She has that thing room.
You can tell she's.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
she's the or a presence.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
Yes, as a presence absolutely as energy yeah we're
talking about that with somebodyelse recently about the energy
that people um have on them.
I think that was with um themost recent show it was adam
brower the spiritual realtor.

Speaker 2 (15:16):
The spiritual realtor , he was amazing.

Speaker 1 (15:18):
Yeah, um saging and staging yes saging and staging
no, he talked about the energy, remember the energy of the house
.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
yeah, that that's right.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
I remember that Boy if you're selling your house,
that's a good one to listen to,just to see if there's maybe bad
energy in your house, if youhaven't went through a divorce
or something bad happened.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
You know, do some staging, yeah, great stories.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
Yes, really good stories.
So what sticks out for you?
Give me some of the ones thatyou really stick out for Well.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Sylvie was pretty cool and it was cool to meet her
too, scoggins.

Speaker 1 (15:51):
Oh yeah, he was just on recently, steven Scoggins.
Steven Scoggins was really good.
Yeah, he was pretty cool.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
I think he has the record now for the longest show,
I think.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
Yes, I think it was almost 45 minutes.

Speaker 2 (16:01):
Yeah, something like that.

Speaker 1 (16:01):
Yeah, that's funny.
I never thought of that recordfor the for the longest show,
yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:06):
I think it's Steven Scoggins.
Uh, it was cool to see uh thecane.
I remember when we had thecanines here too.
Oh yeah, twice, twice, yeah, itfelt yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:19):
I remember they were on the microphone.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
Remember that that was great.

Speaker 1 (16:23):
That's right.
No, that was cool, and Susie'sthe one that brought them in.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
Yeah, susie Lysak, that was a good one.
The bro glows was pretty cool, the guys I remember they got you
out here into the chair.
Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
Yeah, those guys are cool.
So it's Tom Jaron.
They were great, yeah, and theywere on Shark Tank Remember.

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:42):
They were on Shark Tank came in here right after
they aired on Shark Tank and I'mstill using it.
I just ordered more.

Speaker 2 (16:47):
There it is, just ordered more.
It's right here.

Speaker 1 (16:49):
Right, here is the product and I got to tell you I
love it, my wife loves it, mydaughter uses it.
Totally non-toxic and gets youa nice little um, yeah, I think
that that's there was.

Speaker 2 (17:06):
There have been so many um, just cool guests and
stories.

Speaker 1 (17:07):
Absolutely yeah, I was thinking too about um dr
nate's, you know haircut storythat was pretty cool that was
pretty fun um what's funny aboutthat story had nothing to do
with being an orthopedic surgeon.
Yeah, I mean it's complete atthe end.
He just like said it.

Speaker 2 (17:18):
You know it's fine yeah, um, there was a gentleman
too, I think his name is boland.
Um, oh, yeah, well, that not, tyler not tyler the brian boland
, oh my gosh.
Yes, he was here and talkedabout wills yeah, I think that
just his information was very, very absolutely yeah, he was
really good, and that was awhile ago yeah, that's a lot.

(17:38):
Kevin timoshenko was a guy Ialways wanted, he's been in here
twice yes, he always wants toget into deep.
Oh yeah, he wants to get deep.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
He wants to get deep and he wants to complain about
things.

Speaker 2 (17:49):
sometimes but so true yeah.

Speaker 1 (17:51):
We have to put on.
I might have to have the buttonfor the F-bomb maybe with him,
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
But now he's Unfiltered.

Speaker 1 (17:57):
Kevin yeah so involved in the community
Metropolitan Properties theirmetropolitan group.
They do a great job.
You know, it's funny too.
Recently we had a musical guestbefore it was Kono Nation which
was she was in here, remember.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
Oh yeah, that's right .
Yeah, Morgan Konopelsky, yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:14):
Konopelsky yes, but she never performed.
Then we decided, okay, we'regoing to have somebody perform.
So we had Maggie Marr in here.
Yeah, and that was our firstlive music show.
Yeah, remember, she performedtwo shows one in the beginning,
one at the end.
We did a little extra at theend.
She was phenomenal.

Speaker 2 (18:32):
Yeah, very cool voice .
Yes, very good voice Pick upher guitar and which I thought
was pretty cool.
No, that was pretty cool.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Yeah, us, you know.
Also, what I wanted to say isis thanking the audience for
listening.
Yeah, you know, um, you know wewouldn't be doing it if, if, if
.
You know they always say nobodywas listening, that's right.
My mom always listened.
So, but uh, you know it's funnythat if nobody listened, let me
go.
Let me go back the.
I hear a lot of podcasters saythis If you're, if you're
changing one person's life, it'sall worth it.
So if we have a guest on thatmakes an impression and it

(19:07):
doesn't have to change your life, but it helps them.
Either A buy a house, sell ahouse, if it helps them with
their orthopedic issues, if ithelps them with their mindset we
just had a mindset person onhere talking about that.
Ryan Godforson, I think, wasthe one that was all about the
mindset.
If we can help somebody inthose areas and it's only one

(19:28):
person, you're changingeverything.
Ed Milet talked about thattoday on a podcast I was
listening to from him.
His dad was an alcoholic andhis dad went clean when Ed was
15 years old.
His dad went clean when Ed was15 years old.
If his dad wouldn't have goneclean, Ed Milet would probably

(19:49):
not be the Ed Milet that we allknow today.
He now affects millions andmillions and millions of people
every week on his podcast.
Okay, the thing he says, theperson that I don't know who to
thank, who is the person thatsaw my dad hit rock bottom and

(20:10):
say to him you need help?
Yeah, that person isresponsible for all the has
impacted the world.
So one person that doesn't evenknow what they did.
That's right.
They don't even know, like wedon't even know when we're doing
the show.

Speaker 2 (20:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
If we impact somebody , maybe they won't do something
they were going to do, or maybethey're going to do something
they were thinking about doing, you know, stepping out of their
comfort zone.
I think it's just an amazingthought it's pretty cool out of
their comfort zone.
I think it's just an amazingthought, and really amazing
thought, so you know.
That's why it's reallyimportant that, no matter who
you are in your life, you havesomething to give.

(20:48):
You have something to give toeverybody, because you don't
know when you're going toinfluence somebody at that right
second that makes a differencein their life.
You just don't know, yeah.

Speaker 2 (21:00):
So now let me ask you , like, who is who's in your
wishlist for guests?
Like you know, ed Milet.
Ed Milet.
Send him a message.
Ed Milet.

Speaker 1 (21:08):
We'd like you on the show.
He's phenomenal.
I mean he speaks from the heart, he's got great topics, he's
lived.
A mentor of mine.
Definitely a mentor and Ilisten to him pretty much almost
every day.

Speaker 2 (21:26):
Just send him a message.
I will Absolutely.

Speaker 1 (21:31):
We actually were trying to get on the Coffee Bean
guy.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
I forget his name right now.
What was his name?
I forget his name.

Speaker 1 (21:37):
right now I can his name it's not.
Adam, is it?
No, I forget his name right now.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
It's I can't remember it?
I can't remember it.
He's the author of the CoffeeBean.

Speaker 1 (21:44):
The Coffee Bean, yeah , I've been in touch with him
and probably, if I know his name, maybe he would come on the
show.
I hope he doesn't listen tothis.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
No, we know his name, it's just that he doesn't cover
it Nate Something.

Speaker 1 (21:57):
Not Nate.
No, we'll come up with it atsome point.
We'll actually fudge it intothe show.
No, but yeah, I'd like him tocome on because I saw him live
Speaks, has great topics he'scome from, went to jail from
drugs and things like that, andhe's got a great story to tell
of coming from adversity andreally making it what he's doing
today and saving people's lives.

(22:18):
changing people's lives.
That's what's cool.
That's the best thing about theshow is I listen to these.
I listen to every single showwhen I'm editing out the ums and
things like that and makingsure that there's nothing stupid
that anybody said, and most ofthe time it's pretty much what
you hear, it's one shot.
That's right.
And it's just neat to listenback, cause a lot of times when
I'm doing this, I don't I hearit but it doesn't sink in.

(22:42):
Yeah, I mean you can hearsomething, but it doesn't mean
you're actually really lettingit sink in, let it soak in.
So it's nice is when I'm, whenI'm listening to the shows, I'm
editing the shows, I get achance to really let it sit in.
And what's interesting aboutthat is sometimes I get I walk
away from here and go man, thatwas a great show, great show, I
love that and I'll get it homeand I'll be like it was okay, it

(23:04):
was good.
And then there's sometimes I'mlike, ah, man, I think if I
would have said this or wouldhave said this or would have
answered this question or wouldhave asked this question, those
are the ones.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
Sometimes I get home and go this is a damn good show
man.
This is a damn good show man.
It's a damn good show.
It's like when you're arguingwith your spouse right, oh yeah,
let's not talk about that.
And five minutes later youthink about the perfect answer
Exactly, that's so true, yeah, you know what that is.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
That's called calmer minds prevail, and my partner
Mark Chakras calmer mindsprevail.
So if you just calm down, yourbrain will work and you'll be
able to say the right things.
But when you get all excitedand stressed out and your energy
goes up, your mind doesn't work.
Then it's just.
It's like a fight or flighttype situation.

Speaker 2 (23:44):
So you know something that?
That that I just thought ofthat was pretty cool too, was
when we were doing those uhstories, uh with brandon oh, yes
, stories.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
Yes, yes, that called oh my god, what was that name?
It was a segment.
We did give it a name.
Hold on.
I a segment, we did give it aname.
Hold on.
I actually had that heresomewhere.
It wasn't beyond.
No, it wasn't that, it wasn'tthat?

Speaker 2 (24:01):
No, it wasn't beyond closed doors.

Speaker 1 (24:03):
Oh yeah, behind closed doors.
No, yeah, behind closed doors,or something like that.
Yes.

Speaker 2 (24:16):
I think that's what's pretty cool we had west mucky
on here.

Speaker 1 (24:20):
Uh, the pottery pottery guy to the stars.
Remember he made ozzy osbourne.
Yeah, all kinds of remember allthe stars he made uh pottery
for is incredible.

Speaker 2 (24:29):
That was a good show.
Precedence yeah, presence threepresents, I think three or four
incredible, yeah, so what?

Speaker 1 (24:35):
who do you want to see on the show?

Speaker 2 (24:36):
there's so many uh cool people, Probably I would
say probably Steve Harvey, SteveHarvey.

Speaker 1 (24:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
I like Steve.

Speaker 1 (24:45):
He is funny.
He's also a good speaker too.

Speaker 2 (24:48):
Yeah, that's what I was thinking, because not many
people are familiar with thataspect, with that facet of him.
Many people know him as acomedian, but he's a great
speaker.

Speaker 1 (24:59):
Great speaker, great story speaker, great storyteller
.
Yeah, great storyteller.
That's what I think.
The more I do this, the morethat I want to be able to do is
be able to tell more storiesafter I hear the stories.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
Kevin Hart from Philly.
Kevin Hart would be great.

Speaker 1 (25:13):
That's good.
You got some good ones.
Yours are all funny, which isfunny because you love jokes.
I love jokes.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
I think that laughter is the best medicine and I
really enjoy it.
It is the best medicine unlessyou have diarrhea.
Then it's probably not, probably not so much or surgery.

Speaker 1 (25:36):
Yeah, that's not good If you have some kind of
surgery.
Yeah, not good for laughter.

Speaker 2 (25:40):
That's right.
Not good for laughter.

Speaker 1 (25:41):
Oh, that's funny, that's really funny.
So what else do we want to say?
Yet I don't know if there's.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
I mean, I think Thank you, thank you, yeah, thank
everybody for watching.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
Thanks for the guests that come on and take their
time in.
We've had guests, even scogginshe flew in from, from down
south.
We've had guests drive from newyork, from philly.
Uh, you know, we've we've hadall kinds of guests.
We've had all kinds of peopleand just great people.
I mean, and I I gotta say, outof 250 guests there's probably
only been one or two and theyweren't from locally, that I
couldn't wait till the show wasover you know what I was
thinking who was was theyoungest, who has been the

(26:20):
youngest guest so far?
The youngest guest?
Yeah, probably my son.

Speaker 2 (26:26):
Oh, that's true.
Yeah, probably my son.
Yeah, that's right, or?

Speaker 1 (26:28):
Catherine before he was on, when she did the puppet
stuff and did all that stuff.

Speaker 2 (26:32):
Oh yeah, Wasn't that on the show?
I think it was on the show.
Yeah, I remember that.
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
I think that's probably the youngest other than
that.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
Matt will be the oldest right, Matt Gutman.

Speaker 1 (26:42):
Oh yeah, absolutely, Because he was either 99 or 101.
There was one that was 99, onethat was 101.
Yeah, it's just crazy.
Oh, johnny Pasch too, my buddyfrom Beverly.

Oh, by the way, also JustinShank from the move.

Growth, now Movement.
Growth, now Movement.

This is the 250th episode.
It's funny, we'll be doing 300in less than a year because we

(27:24):
do one a week.
That's right, that's true, yeah,it's less than a year, so we
want to keep growing it.
We want more comments.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
