We know self tanners. We love self tanners. To us, self-tanner for men are a necessary part of life. You see a pale dude on the street and he looks like a fish out of water. It's a real problem, bro. But this exact passion for self-tanner is why Bro Glo is so rad.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello, this is Brad Weizmann.
You're listening to Real Estateand You, we are back in the
studio for another awesome show.
Well, at least I think they'reawesome.
I don't know, but we have areally cool guest.
He's back here again and it isBrandon Moyer, and he has a new
well, a rebranded company, andit's called Made to Be Clean.

(00:21):
Brandon, how you doing, buddy,i'm good.
Thank you for having me again.
Thanks for coming back again.
Most people don't return.
Why is that?
It's probably just me, i don'tknow.
I mean, i did wear my deodoranttoday.
Well, that's good.
Yeah, yeah, it's usually abonus.
You smell fresh.
Thank you, i appreciate that.
So, yes, so you have, you had acompany, or you still have a
company.
It's a cleaning company, yes,and you are changing the

(00:43):
branding of it, not the service, not the way you do things.
You're changing the brandingAnd I think it's perfect,
because I know you as the beeman.
Uh-huh, Uh-huh.
So now it's called Made to Be.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Clean.
Yes, be Clean.
Yes, so many people knew me asthe bee man.
Yeah, that's pretty much whatwe thought you were.
Yeah, ever since the pandemic, and got into the bees honey
company with the Uncle Bee'sHoney Company.
It's like you know what.
Why not blend it all together?

Speaker 1 (01:08):
Absolutely, i agree with you.
100%, you know, because thatway the branding is all.
it just kind of all workstogether.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
Yeah, it's all, it's all weaved together.
Yeah, just be alive, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Awesome man.
So so tell me, when did thisidea come up and why?
Like, is it just because ofbranding?
Is it just because of that, oryou just decided?
you know what I need to?
I need to bring it all togetherAnd and it wasn't like a quick
decision.
So it was a moping decisionsort of in my office Moping,
yeah, moping, like I was so likekicking things on the ground
like kind of your heads down.

(01:37):
Yeah, like in my conferenceroom.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
we're just standing staring at the wall here at our
whiteboard, and, um Well, isthere anything?

Speaker 1 (01:44):
on the whiteboard?
No, it was blank.
It was blank, okay, do you dothis a lot?

Speaker 2 (01:47):
I do, okay, that's scary, Yeah, so okay, keep going
, I had 33 whiteboards filledwith ideas Oh my gosh.
So um, I raced everything juststared at it and it's like you
know what Something's missinghere in this business and it's,
it's my why.
Oh, wow, very cool, yeah, andum, many company companies, uh,

(02:09):
don't know their why.
Yeah, and I didn't want tocontinue to add to market noise
out there of just anothercleaning company here in Berks
County.
So interesting, because there'sover 50 of them and that does
not include In Berks County.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Yeah, that does not include solo cleaning either Wow
.
So in real estate, you'd besurprised how many dirty houses
I see.
Oh, yeah, yeah, uh-huh, we got,we got to get some work for
these 50 people.
Oh.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
I know, oh my gosh.
So I spent the past nine years,me and my team, creating a team
, creating systems, but the onething that was missing was our
why.
Why are we doing this?
Um and the bees Yeah, it allsort of just married together,
yeah, and um, as I was writingall the stuff down on the

(02:51):
whiteboard your hive, ourpurpose came out to me.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Yeah, and that was a perfect tagline I love it I love
it Overarching part for me tobe clean your hive, our purpose.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
And before it was home care solution.
Right, And that's where that'skind of boring.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
It is very boring, but boring.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
I was 23 when I I didn't tell you that last time.
No, it's okay, now I can sayit's kind of like when you leave
your a girlfriend, nobody ever, ever says, oh, she was a jerk.
They wait until you leave herAnd then they say she was a jerk
.
You see, why didn't you tell methat before?
And you're like and then you,it really sucks is when they get
back together.
Yeah, That's always a problem.
So if you go back to home caresolution, you won't be on the
podcast anymore.
Okay, That's fine, That's fine.

(03:30):
But yeah so that's awesome.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
Our marketing was struggling.
It's like we were mistaken fora home health agency for so long
.
Oh wow, yes, and there actuallyhad already been a home care
solution business in Reading.
Oh, geez, the same name, so wewere battling in our marketing
for SEOs and such, So it waslike you know what I'm done.
Yeah, makes sense.

Speaker 1 (03:52):
No, and it's good, i love it And I love the logos.
I mean, you have a hat here Andif you can see it there, you
can see it.
You have a hat, obviously, youhave the honey here.
I got his gifts and this little, this little bee here, which is
cool.
Yeah, I just love it.
And you have an actual apparelnow, too.
You have this bee bee.
Bee line apparel, bee lineapparel.
I even you even brought me asweatshirt Now for you.
People on the podcast worldthat are not watching a video,

(04:14):
you can't see this, So too badfor you, But no, but there it is
.
There you can see the bee lineapparel.
This is what he's he's got nowas clothing and stuff, And I
guess I'm thinking that you'rethe people that work for you're
wearing this stuff.

Speaker 2 (04:26):
Yes, right, yeah.
So it was originally intendedto have created for our
customers and our team membersor worker bees, yeah To work
Worker bees got it.
But then I started realizing,as I was at the gym yeah, this
could go more.
Yeah, be seen across.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
I really like that logo.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
Yeah, this is.
this is the original, It'sreally cool.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
I like that a lot.
That's a good one.

Speaker 2 (04:47):
So, but if like the bee line apparel, it's a bee and
an M, but look at a line.
So it's personal branding forBrandon Moyer.

Speaker 1 (04:55):
So I sort of fit this all into one thing.

Speaker 2 (04:59):
So bee line apparel, be resilient, be you Just like
the bees.
We throw so many things out onpesticides.
I love that, That destruction.

Speaker 1 (05:07):
I don't love that.
we start with the sides out ofit.
Want to get that right?
No, but I read that when youwrote that down on here
somewhere and you said it'samazing how resilient they are.
Yes, it's almost like theythink we're just wanting to kill
them constantly.
The bees.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
But they show up every day still, yeah, they
still pollinate, they still makethe honey, same as Hugo.
It's amazing, exactly Yeah, asmuch as we make fun of him, i'm
a drone, i'm a drone And hestill comes back into the studio
every time It's amazing.
And then you know with us dayto day.
Our daily lives are filled withstress and anxiety And we're
getting thrown things at us, butyet we still have to show up.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:44):
We have to do our job , and that's what I want people
to realize that, just like thebee, they still show up, they're
resilient and they'rethemselves.
Why can't we be that way?

Speaker 1 (05:54):
There's so many parallels there and so many
things to get, from who they areto where we should be too, and
I've learned a lot, i gotta tellyou the last time you were on
the show, and if you're watchingthis show and you are
interested in bees, definitelygo back and listen to the show
we had before with him.
It was really, really good.
I learned so much.

(06:14):
I have knowledge of bees that Inever thought I would have, but
it's very interesting And it'svery.
It even had me thinking, hmm, maybe I'll do this someday.
You know, yeah, and we're goingto have you on another show
that I'm doing now.
It's called the American DreamTV Selling, reading, pa, and
we're going to be on our episodefour that you will be on And
we're going to feature I want tofeature the bees, i want to do

(06:36):
some videoing wherever you havethe hives and things, and
hopefully I won't get stung.
And then one thing I need to dois ask the film, the
videographer guy, if he'sallergic to bees, because he
won't want to do it if he is.
Well, i got bee seeds just incase.
Yeah, bee seeds, okay, yeahthat's good.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
We do all the tours on top of the Double Tree Roof.

Speaker 1 (06:53):
Yes, For all they're at, Then that's where we could
go.
So you want to keep watchingthis stuff, what he's on,
because it's really cool stuff.
So let's go into one of thethings about also with your
company's culture and personalculture of personal development
was one of the things thatyou're really into and making
sure that your employees workerbees are.
It's not just about work.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Yes, and that's where a lot of companies go wrong is
just about work, and I realizedafter doing this for nine years
that I want to change that.
I want to change the industrywith not just the cleaning
industry, but the industry ofemployment and creating a
culture where your employeeslove coming to work, not just

(07:36):
because of the work that they do, but because they like the
people around them and theybecome sort of a family.
But more so is having ourleadership team invest in our
team, teaching them how torepair credit, yeah, celebrating
their wins on when they wereable to purchase a house, things
like that And just being therefor them.

(07:58):
We have a culture committeethat meets every two weeks.
They did our landscaping outfront of our office building.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
Yeah, all volunteer time, that's great.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
So when you know you have your employees volunteering
their time to help a cause, youknow they have bought into it
Absolutely And we're super proudof that, And it extends into
our most of our employees, Yeah.
So we're very thrilled with it.
We have some great stuff comingup and we're very proud of it

(08:27):
And we want to show the publicthat too, Yeah that's great man.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
What's interesting is Keller Williams is very, very
similar to what you're talkingabout.
One of the reasons that I'mhere at this company is because
of culture and because of it notjust being about commissions
and making money and all thatstuff.
It's about caring for ouragents, making sure that they're
okay.
If they have personal issues orthings going on, can we be
there for them, can we help themout, can we get them past that

(08:49):
point?
Yeah, you know, cause a lot ofcompanies and I think that's
believe it or not, i thinkthat's a trend that is starting
to happen, because all thestudies show that you know you
can give somebody a raise, but alot of times people will leave
not just because of the money.
They'll leave because of theculture or the, or how the job
makes them feel Yeah, and that'sthat's important.
So I think that's awesome.
I think you're on thedefinitely in the right path

(09:11):
with that.
So tell me about this.
The grand opening for Made toBe Clean is July 15th.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
Yeah, at our office off of Oly Ternpike Road from 12
to four, we have a DJ.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Awesome.

Speaker 2 (09:22):
We have Mr Frosty there face painting and a couple
other games to play.
But the cool thing is, everyonegets to see the newly renovated
office Awesome As well insideof how we operate, what it looks
like, and even take a glimpseof our low toxicity.

Speaker 1 (09:36):
Yes.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
Chemicals.
I love that.
I shouldn't even say chemicals.
It's solutions, Solutions Thatwe make there at the office.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Yeah, that's cool.
You were telling me before thatyou actually make some of the
cleaning solutions.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
Yeah, the stuff that is out there in the market that
says it's eco-friendly, green,it's.
It's all false, it's justmarketing.

Speaker 1 (09:54):
So what most of them is.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
And it's double, triple the price And it does not
clean.
So we have to come up with ourown stuff, and it's based with
mostly water, vinegar, bakingsoda.

Speaker 1 (10:08):
But those are classic cleaning things Like you know
nobody.
It's so funny that we had agirl that used to clean her
house and she would.
She would do the shower And youknow she would use vinegar, yep
, and it's not the best smellingthing in the world, but it was
amazing That shower was cleanerthan than with any other product
And I didn't go in there likegagging from from the, from the

(10:29):
chemical.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
So the good thing is with us, you won't smell the
vinegar.
We've diluted it enough thatit's that you don't clean very
well but it's not going to smelllike you're going to need some
french fries with that?

Speaker 1 (10:39):
Yeah, exactly.
Or maybe like a little oil tomake a salad?
Yeah, exactly, You won't gethungry Yeah that's good, but
you'll appreciate the.

Speaker 2 (10:45):
You can touch it without wearing gloves, you know
yeah, exactly You don't have towait, it's, it's good.

Speaker 1 (10:50):
It's awesome environment.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
We save a lot on recycling.

Speaker 1 (10:54):
We're not going to do bottles, and you know because
you're using the same stuff andyou're doing it in house We're
refilling our bottles Awesome, throwing anything away.
Yeah, that's good, that's goodfor the bees too, absolutely
Yeah.
Then also there was a book thatyou had come out with.
What was the name of the firstone?

Speaker 2 (11:09):
again, the Adventures of Uncle B and Ruby Catching a
Swarm.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
That's what I that's.
I do remember that because Iremember the little caricature
of yourself.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (11:15):
Now you have a new one you're working on and it's a
.
You have a five series bookcollection coming out.
You're writing this book to andit's coming out soon Yep, At
the end of August that's whatwe're going to have.
And I saw I had like a bigdinosaur on the cover.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
Yeah, it's the Adventures of Uncle B and Ruby
and the prehistoric Buzz.
Does Uncle B?

Speaker 1 (11:31):
ever get eaten by the dinosaur, because I would
really think that'd be cool towatch.
You know, stay tuned, okay.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Is there any blood?
No blood, no blood.

Speaker 1 (11:38):
Lots of honey, though Lots of honey.

Speaker 2 (11:40):
Okay, got it.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
Such a sweet story, yeah.
So, moving on the Beeline ofParallel we talked about This is
the other thing too is you'redoing this thing with the
Government Fund InternshipProgram.
You have students coming to dothat and it's on.
You're going to be doing thaton August 4th, i believe.

Speaker 2 (11:55):
Yeah, so we're actually going to launch our
Shopify store online.
We're going to open it for aweek and then close it.
So, from now until then, we'regoing to be building the hype
for the certain apparel thatwe're going to have on there
Gotcha And these three studentswho are amazing, by the way From
Governor Mifflin From GovernorMifflin They just naturally know
what to do, isn't?

Speaker 1 (12:14):
it amazing.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
And it's funny, their strong suits each of them
complement the businessstructure very well.
Oh, that's cool, and they'veturned part of my office into
shipping and handling.
And the other part into amanufacturing part I feel like a
little Amazon, yeah, yeah.
Yeah, so in fact, we'reactually going to be using that
for our Uncle Bee's HoneyCompany the shipping and

(12:35):
packaging for our online ordersthat we're relaunching for in
the fall, do you still have theplace at the?

Speaker 1 (12:42):
farmers market.
I do, yes, yeah, that's whereyou're selling honey, right, yep
.
Let's go back into the beesthing too, just because I mean
we talked about a lot of stuffthere, but this took real quick.
go back into that.
So you have the.
still have the hives on top ofthe downtown red Double tree,
yep.
And okay, do you have a minuteyou have in your yard too, or
something like that.

Speaker 2 (12:58):
We have in the yard, have in the yard.
We have four on top of AbernayUniversity.

Speaker 1 (13:02):
Oh, you have some there too, yeah, downtown Wow.
Now are you supplying all thehoney you sell from there, from
those Yep, yep, geez And I gotsome right here too, and you
can't see this on the podcast, but this is the honey here that
he has, and he has, he's at themarket.
You can buy them, and you evenhave those honey sticks, i think
, oh, yes, yeah, those are.
What do you do with those?
You can, but don't get weirdabout this, all right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
Cut the tip and then just start in your coffee or
honey, Oh, or if you're on ahike, just you know, suck on it.
It's a straw and it's a goodsugar rush.

Speaker 1 (13:31):
Oh you know what's funny?
I love honey in my tea.
That's a great idea.
So you just cut the end off andthen just stick it in your tea.
Yep, and just start.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
The heat of the tea will loosen all the honey in it.

Speaker 1 (13:43):
So how we look with the bees, I mean, are things?
are things still as dire asthey were?

Speaker 2 (13:48):
So the honey bees are fine, okay.
And it's a common misconceptionwhen people say save the bees,
the one thinks honey bees, yeahright, honey bees are okay, okay
.
It's the other native bees Okay, or more in trouble.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
Now, what are those?

Speaker 2 (14:04):
Double bees, mason bees.
What's up with the bees?
you said Mason bees, mason bees.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
Yeah, don't know what they're talking about.

Speaker 2 (14:11):
Mason apple bee.
If you have an apple treeyou'll see honey, honey bees
pollinate the tree, yeah, butthe mason bee has a unique
ability that it can actuallydouble and triple load your
apple tree Just by itsefficiency of pollination Get
out of here, yeah.
So, but every time you bring ahive in of honey bees, that sort

(14:32):
of displaces the other bees.
So, honey bees are actuallyinvasive.
They're not native to thiscontinent.
Interesting, yeah, i did seethat.
So they were brought in.
You know, 1500s, when we weresettling here in this country
and developing it for bees waxpurposes for candles?
Yeah, Inevitably, we didn'tknow at the time.

(14:53):
Yeah, you know, every time thehive comes in you sort of push
out the native So that nativebees in trouble Yeah.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
Those and many others , and bumblebees, and what about
yellowjackets, wasps, all thatstuff?
No, there's plenty of them.
Yeah, that's gonna say.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
They're good pollinators though They really
are, but they're predator.

Speaker 1 (15:09):
I don't care for them that much, just so you know.
I hope you're not gonna getoffended.
Yeah, because they sting Theydo And they hurt, yeah, hornets,
especially I am not fond ofhornets.

Speaker 2 (15:18):
So this second book, the prehistoric buzz we'll talk
about, is that bees came frompredatory wasps.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
So without the wasp we would not have the bees Right
, but that was a long time ago,so we don't really Yeah, that
was a long time ago.

Speaker 2 (15:30):
Do we still need the wasp?

Speaker 1 (15:31):
We still need it.
Well, hugo, what do you thinkI'd say?
get rid of the wasp.
What?

Speaker 2 (15:34):
do you think I think so.
I'm feeling the sting of that.
Yeah, i think you're feelingmore of the sting.

Speaker 1 (15:40):
You feel the pinch, yeah, i think you're feeling the
pinch and the sting somewhere, yeah, so that's amazing.
And it's interesting because itis true, everybody thinks the
honeybee is the one in trouble.

Speaker 2 (15:51):
Yep, it's just good marketing.
Let's be more.

Speaker 1 (15:54):
Yeah, or bad marketing, well, yeah, if the
message isn't correct, yeah.
So what else do you want totalk about before we end the
show?
Anything else More?

Speaker 2 (16:01):
about made to be clean.

Speaker 1 (16:02):
Yeah, let's do it.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
Just not solve pain points in your house, okay, but
we want to be very involved inthe community.
We've partnered with anonprofit called Bless
Beginnings right now Okay, who?
we are volunteering our time.
Our leadership team isvolunteering their time to help
fill baskets, and these basketsare filled with all the
essentials you need Thekitchenware medicine, maybe some

(16:28):
towels, rags, culturally, things like that, yeah That
soaps, detergents everything youneed to function in a house or
an apartment.
These baskets go to women whoare having a hardship, whether
it's abusive relationship orwhat Bless Beginnings is there
to?
deliver this stuff, that'sawesome, So it's really neat

(16:49):
that we're involved in thecommunity like that.
We want to be involved in otherareas too, So if anyone who's
listening has a nonprofit thatis community based, we'd love to
be a part of that.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
How do they get in touch with you, like, what's the
best way to get in touch?

Speaker 2 (17:03):
Visit our website, okay wwwmai2bcleancom and go on
to our purpose.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
And it's B-E-E for B-Clean.

Speaker 2 (17:10):
Made is M-A-I-D.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
M-A-I-D right.

Speaker 2 (17:13):
Yeah so, but we're super thrilled We're also
pledging that 3% of our profitsthat we have go to
B-Conservation and communitybased nonprofits as well.

Speaker 1 (17:25):
That's awesome.
That's really cool.
That's awesome.
Man, i appreciate that.
I think it's.
I think it got great greatthing going on here with the
company And I think I love thechange name change We're
considering a name changeourselves for the podcast.
It's not decided upon yet, butwe're thinking about it.
The thing is is we're doing alot more than just real estate.
You know, i mean you're talkingabout the bees hive, which is
real estate.

(17:46):
Right, yeah, you are cleaningreal estate, So that still works
there, but there's times wherewe can't we can't squeeze it
into real estate, so we'rethinking about changing the name
to something that's non realestate.
We'll see what happens And I'lllet you know, but thanks so
much for coming on.
the show man.
This is awesome, absolutely, thank you, and I want you to
come back, so absolutely, andI'll see you for the TV show
also.
Yep, so we'll get that all setup All right.

(18:06):
That's great.
Hugo, do you have anything?

Speaker 2 (18:09):
No, no, i just just a mesmerize, appreciating all the
knowledge and you know that'scool, That's a great guy Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:16):
Yeah, he is awesome And you're doing some video
stuff for him, aren't you?
That's right.

Speaker 2 (18:19):
Yes, that's right.
I'm very excited for that.
Yeah, that's very cool.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
All right, we'll have to check that out and get it on
our Facebook and everythingelse too, to share that once
