The Burros of Berea Podcast

The Burros of Berea Podcast

The Burros of Berea is a conversational podcast. We study the Bible and we talk about it. Not all of us are of the same faith and one of us doesn't actually have one. That's wonder-full! We all love one another and are going to continue to talk about these things. The things we believe in and what we believe about what we read in the Bible. Not all of these things are true, some of them are opinion and speculation. Thank you for listening and speculating with us!

Rick, Ralph and Andy sit down in Giraffe Studio and briefly discuss the Feast of Weeks known by Christians as Pentecost. So what is the significance of that particular day in history for the Hebrews? Is there any significance to the 3,000 men that were saved that day? And when Peter quoted the prophet Joel about it being the "last days" did he really mean it? It's a fascinating look at the day when the Holy Spirit came and the birt...

The Burros begin a new study on the Feasts of the Lord found in Leviticus 23. Each of the feasts are done in remembrance of certain events the children of Israel had gone through. The incredible part is that each feast also points to their coming Messiah. Year after year, the Israelites practiced their faith during each feast. Yet, when the Messiah arrived the rulers of the time missed the significance of it. It's a fascinating dee...

Rick sits down with Andy to discuss a recent conversation that he'd been in about providing the proof of the existence of God. Who has the burden? Does the person that makes the claim have to produce enough evidence to prove it? Or does the person who states there is no God have the burden of proof regarding their claim? It's a fascinating look at what we can and cannot prove, as well as the argument for existence. If you'd like to...

The title of this episode can be misleading in two ways. 1. This isn't our very own cast member Rick Welch. 2. Mr. Welch will describe in detail how he was lost in addiction and his own son, another Rick Welch, searched for him from street to street until he found him and told him about the Son of God, Jesus Christ. This testimony is one of the most amazing stories of love that we've ever recorded. We hope that this episode is an e...
