Jason (00:15):
The Hello and welcome to the Chicane Podcast, where we

(00:36):
discuss all things in the simracing world.
I'm your host, jason Rivera, and I'm joined here by Mr Eric
Kelly and Jeff Smart.
How's it going, fellas?

Jeff (00:46):
Going good man, Going good Good to see you guys Going well
, going well, ready to see youguys, ready to dig into it.
Got a bunch of stuff to covertoday.

Jason (00:54):
Yes, sir, we are 43 episodes in.
I'm counting down to that.

Jeff (01:00):
Chugging right along.

Jason (01:01):
Yeah, man, so excited.
I don't really have that manyannouncements.
This week it's been relativelyquiet.
Um weather's been all over theplace here in hawaii I know
right jeff can tell you, uh,probably ruined some people's
plans because it was very nicewhen you woke up and then, when
you went to leave, it was athunderstorm, and if it's

(01:27):
raining on this side of theisland, it's raining everywhere.

Erick (01:30):
That is the truth.
Yeah, that is the truth.

Jason (01:35):
If you go outside and it's raining here, oh man, it's
raining everywhere.
So not much from me, justexcited to be here and happy to
see the many comments on theYouTube channel.
It's been fun to engage withyou that way, so keep that
coming, and I think today-.

Jeff (01:53):
Can I yeah, go ahead.
I just got a statement.
I guess this is here, but Godbless America.
Of all the stuff we talkedabout last episode, the thing
that got people triggered waswhat they put on their toast and
how they put on oh look, I knewthat was going to be a sticking
point.

Erick (02:12):
I've seen some other stuff online people talking
about beans on toast and it's.
It's really kind of polarizing.
It's like you're for it or it'sthe most disgusting concept
known to man and that's.
I knew that was going to be-.

Jeff (02:26):
Dude, there was like tuna fish, there was like fried
something or other.

Jason (02:32):
I'm Puerto Rican guys, that's not a secret on this feed
here.
I just I can't get.
I tried it.
I told Daniel Newman, dnr shoutout to DNR, the GOAT, which is
on vacation right now in NYC.

Jeff (02:49):
So watch your back bro, it's not UK.

Jason (02:52):
NYC could be.
Be careful.
Be careful out there.

Erick (02:56):
Keep your head on a swivel.
Yes, sir, that's it.

Jason (03:00):
Walking down the street.
It's beautiful in the daytime, but at night just be careful.
I tried it and I tried thebeans on toast.
It was edible.
That's all I'm going to say,rob Markman.

Erick (03:13):
Jr.
That's a hell of a take.
It was edible.

Jason (03:19):
It was.
I gave it the time of day.
I'm a man of my word.
I said I would do it.
And newsflash they don't havethese beans in Hawaii so I had
to order the stuff.
It cost me a fortune, like $20for a can, For like a can, a
pack of six or something.

Jeff (03:36):
It probably cost you, oh, man yeah $1.99 at Walmart back
in the state or the mainland?

Erick (03:45):
What you going to do with the other five?

Jason (03:46):
and a half cans.
Man, that's what I was going tosay.
We haven't really done agiveaway on the show.
We're not there yet, we're notat that capacity yet.
I will send you some beans fromthe UK.
Let me know if that interestsyou.
I'm dead serious.
You might get a package andI'll use this from Jeff, from

(04:08):
Max Verstappen just to concealthat identity which?
Is kind of amazing.
So anyway, that's it for me,man.
So over to Eric.
What's going on with your week, man?
How's it going?

Erick (04:19):
Yeah, my week was great.
Valentine's was this pastFriday and lo and and behold, my
wife she's, you know, she'sgreat.
She heard me talking about 3dprinters and she kind of asked
me some probate questionsearlier in the week and I didn't
give her enough detail for herto make the decision on her own.
But while we were out friday, Itook the day off and we went um

(04:40):
, did some valentine's stuff.
We went, did some Valentine'sstuff.
We went to one of our favoritecoffee spots and then took her
to get a mani-pedi and we gotsomething to eat and we were
just kind of going around and,if you don't know, she's a
developer, so she's very techsavvy, borderline nerdy, if you
will.
And there's a place here calledGiga Parts which is like best

(05:03):
buy but for actual people withlike hobbies, like you want to
build a ham radio.

Jason (05:08):
Like circuit boards and stuff.

Erick (05:10):
Yeah, like they have all the parts there.
Like you want to build aRaspberry Pi from scratch?
They got them right there readyto pick up, like it's a cool,
cool local place.
And we were there and she askedme about a 3D printer.
Again I was like, oh yeah, thisis the one that I was looking
at getting.
And she was like that's it.
I was like, yeah, she was likeI was looking at getting one

(05:32):
that was like $800, $900, but ohman, really.

Jeff (05:39):
Misjudged the temperature on that one.

Erick (05:41):
Oh man, but because this is the particular one I've been
researching, went ahead and gotit, but I'll save that for my
actual discussion piece.
But I do have a 3D printer andI want to give you guys some
feedback on it.

Jason (05:56):
Oh, that's what's up, I mean.
So she bought the printer.
That's the most important thing.
It didn't come out of pocket.

Erick (06:03):
Best Valentine's ever.
So how about that BestValentine's ever?

Jeff (06:06):
So how about?

Jason (06:07):
that.

Jeff (06:08):
Now you can print the mounts.

Jason (06:10):
Now you can print the mounts to mount it up.

Erick (06:12):
I've got a whole.
It's crazy.

Jason (06:15):
The ecosystem, the you know you messed up.

Erick (06:17):
Eric, big time, it's crazy.

Jason (06:19):
Yeah, you let the wrong two individuals know that you
have a printer.

Erick (06:23):
Hey look, I'll be sharing with you guys.
I hope so.
You're kind of far though.
So I'll say this If I give youguys an app, you can just send
stuff to print to my printer.

Jeff (06:39):
Oh, that's cool.

Erick (06:40):
But we'll talk about it in the discussion.

Jason (06:41):
Dude be careful what you ask for, bro, what you wish for.

Jeff (06:47):
He's going to wake up and have some-.

Jason (06:48):
I know he's going to wake up and the machine is like
smoking.

Erick (06:53):
That's what I was worried about these past couple of days
.
For real, it's been printingnonstop.

Jason (06:59):
Is it printing now?
Can't wait to hear about it.

Erick (07:00):
Is it printing now?
Pretty, it's not printing nowbecause you, okay, definitely
hear it all right.

Jason (07:04):
Well, that's awesome news .
That sounds like a great weekall right so over to jeff.
What's up, jeff?
What's going on with you?

Jeff (07:12):
no, just uh kind of quite like you, gentlemen, uh, just
kind of chugging along, had anice weekend.
Um, then I had a little momentof weakness.
My good good friend, crown, royal and Coke got me.
Oh, and I pulled the trigger onthat Simagic Q1 sequential

(07:34):
shifter because I've been doinga bunch of the racing where you
really need a.
It just adds to the immersionhaving one and not the round
wheel.
So, yeah, so that will bearriving here shortly.
I go on travel for work here,uh, in a couple days, so when I
come back it'll be waiting forme.
So I got that to look forwardto.

Jason (07:50):
So this always happens to you.
You always order stuff and thenyou leave and then you're like
hey, can I ship this to yourhouse bro?
I did sure can you go pick itup?
What if they leave it outside?
My wife will be here, no, butI'm saying every time he orders
something high end or whateverhe leaves.

Jeff (08:13):
I know and it's the crazy part Like I'm only gone for two
nights, so maybe it probablywon't beat me by the time I'm
gone.
But yeah, I'm excited to getback from that trip and get it
going.

Jason (08:24):
I hope it does, man, because no better feeling.
You come home and it's there,so let's go baby.

Jeff (08:30):
Yeah, hey wife, hey kids, see you later.
No, no, no, handle yourbusiness, of course.

Jason (08:35):
By all means Don't get beat up.

Jeff (08:46):
You know, you know late at night and you um quick unboxing
.
You know, yeah, I'm a littlenervous.
They say it's it like one ofthe downfalls, or the cons, if
you will, is it's, it's got agood click to it as you're
switching gears.
But that's a first worldproblem it is a loud ass shifter
it is I'm gonna tell you rightnow but everybody's like that.
You didn't the price, youdidn't consult me, man you
consulted Crown, Royal and Crown.

Jason (09:05):
Royal said yeah, it'd be fine, don't worry about that.
You didn't.
I woke up to a message thatsays I bought it.
I was like whoa damn.
Not saying it's a bad thing,but it.
Well.
You have a room down there, maybe, if you close the doors.

Jeff (09:22):
Yeah, I mean, put some towels on the door.
That shit is loud, bro.

Jason (09:33):
A big portion of it was that it was on like 30 off, so
you know it's normally likethree interesting.

Jeff (09:36):
So how much if we can ask man yeah, uh, it was like two
and change low twos, oh, that'snot bad that's what I paid for
the q1s, which is a lesser.
You got a better one than mineanother thing was just like I
was nervous that you know thatwas like 30% off is not
insignificant, yeah, so yeah, can't wait to get back are there

(09:56):
any mods to quiet it, though, like do those exist?

Jason (10:00):
you don't want to quiet that.
I don't know if he gets it in.

Erick (10:04):
It's like unbearably loud getting complained every time
he's running through the gears.

Jeff (10:08):
Yeah, then we'll research that, but until then, let
freedom ring.

Jason (10:11):
I already told him a mod Eric, the towel on the door to
insulate the sound.

Erick (10:16):
Touche, I did miss that.

Jason (10:18):
And if you really want to get fancy, put a white noise
thing right by the door fancyput a white noise thing right by
the door, problem solved.
Yeah, just add more noise tocancel out the other noise.
People will be falling asleepleft and right.
Well, that's what's up, guys.
Welcome back to the show.
Those are way better updatesthan mine, I guess, I mean.

(10:39):
Yeah, happy Valentine's Day.
I completely forgot about that.
I went to the UB40 concert, which was kind of cool.
That's kind of my date night,but I didn't get a 3D printer
when I got home.

Erick (10:51):
Yeah, you know, Maybe my wife.
She's the Valentine goat thisyear.
I'll tell you that.

Jason (10:55):
I mean, if someone's watching the show hint, hint.
So anyways, today is kind ofexciting.
So, anyways, today is kind ofexciting.
I have teased this a few times.
You know, Richard Burns Valley,RBR Rally Racing is old as hell

(11:16):
.
I think it's like a 2004 game.
And a lot of those games right, yeah, a lot of those games were
built on the older DirectX 7 or9.
I forget which one it was, andthey just simply don't work on
modern PCs.
However, a place called RallySim Fans out of Hungary found a

(11:41):
way to mod the game with aplugin to get it to work on
modern systems.
And they have it all.
They got triple screen support.
They have SimHub support.
They even created their ownforce feedback plugin right,
it's the NGP plugin which I willshare my screen right now, Dude

(12:02):
people are awesome.

Jeff (12:03):
That's crazy.
People are awesome.

Jason (12:05):
Oh, and guess what?
You know how much this thingcosts.
It's $0.
It's free of charge.
You can go in there right now.
They have over 400 tracks.
400 tracks over 90 gigs.
Where's my notes?
They got over 90 gigs ofcontent for you to download
right now for free.

Jeff (12:26):
And it's all in one spot.
Content manager zone.

Jason (12:30):
Yeah, right, so content manager.
Go ahead, eric.
What's up?

Erick (12:34):
No, I'm just saying this definitely like content manager.
That's crazy.

Jason (12:37):
So they created an installer which I'm going to
walk you guys through, andcontent manager is great.
It is probably the best moddedthing I've ever used.
You know modded uh, manager, Iguess.
Um, but these guys created ainstallation like a windows
installation, where you have toclick next multiple times and,

(13:03):
if and if they ask you if youwant to agree, you agree, cause
you know you guys don't readthis stuff.
Come on, don't play with me.
So yeah, so, let let me, let meshare my screen, um, so I can
walk you through what, where toget it, how to install it.
Um, where are you there?

(13:25):
It is.
So this is the website.

Jeff (13:29):
Very simple, rally, it almost looks sketchy, you know
it's got like a early 2000sinternet, feel definitely
definitely, yeah, definitely adream weaver kind of feeling.

Jason (13:45):
So if you want me to go through the change log, as you
can see, and this is dude.
This is free of charge.
I can continue.
Dude somebody loves them.

Jeff (13:58):
Some rally racing.

Erick (14:00):
I was about to say this is a work of love, oh yeah,
definitely.

Jason (14:04):
So here you have your leaderboards, you have your
stages.
I'm going to just click on thisand these are the rallies that
you can participate, because thegame is online and they
actually have events wherethey'll travel from Canada down
into Mexico and you rally yourway down every week.

(14:26):
I'm serious, what that's cool.
That is cool.
So you have your championshipshere and you can see the number
of rallies.
You can see the score system.
The rules See the rules.
You can see the entry list.
Let's see how many people arein here.

(14:47):
So we got 11 entries.
Okay, not too many people, let's go back.

Jeff (14:56):
I bet those 11 people are good.

Jason (14:59):
Oh yeah, there's bigger events, though I think it's well
.
There's so many to choose from.
Holy cow, that's crazy, yeah.
So look at this e-rally Croatiachampionship that it goes
through.
Let's check it out.
Just an example.
You can see the rules hereagain, this one's way more

(15:24):
involved.

Erick (15:26):
Wow.

Jason (15:27):
Yeah, and you can see the categories of cards you can use
.
This is all free, guys.
You can go and download thisright now.
So how do you get it?
First of all, you create anaccount so that way you can
register for these and use the,you know, basically play the
game.
You don't have to register toplay the game offline, but

(15:48):
everybody wants to play onlineat least, right?
So you hit download Now you canread through this, but they
have an installation guide herewhich I will share.
Let me stop this one and I willshare that installation and go
through that with you guys, bearwith me.
So here it is no donations orcharges.

(16:14):
Ngp is the Next GenerationPhysics by Workerby up-to-date
physics and general gameimprovements.
And then these are all theplugins.
So you got a paste note plugin.
You have the RBR HUD, thecontrols.
It works in VR, eric, so thatmight be something that
interests you.

Erick (16:33):
What?
21 year old game working in VR?
That's crazy man.

Jason (16:36):
Look at this RBR triples plugin so you can get NVIDIA
Surround working natively inthis game.

Jeff (16:43):
People are awesome.

Jason (16:44):
Yeah, dude, this is how you do it.
You download.
I'm gonna summarize thisbecause it's a lot.
So you, you download a torrentfile very safe, just get a
torrent, get bit torrent.
I think they recommend qubitright here.
The rsf team rally sim fansteam recommends using open
source qubit torrent as atorrent application.
But any app, you know, any appwill work.

(17:05):
So you download the torrent, you put the files in.
They tell you do not put it inthis location.
I'm summarizing.
This is what the installerlooks like and look 60 to 90
gigs worth of space, if you want, for the over 400 or so modded

(17:25):
stages.
That is wild, yeah, so goodinternet.

Jeff (17:31):
You're gonna be waiting forever, yeah yeah, they have a
server.

Jason (17:36):
It's like you connect to their server and it's not like
content manager I was just goingto mention earlier.
You know content manager.
You have to find the mod andthen put that into Content
Manager and install it.
This is one installation file.
You click next and you choosewhat you want.
These are the plugins that youcan install if you want to use

(17:56):
those.
And then these are the updatesupdates tire, wear, flag icon,
all the options, the Microsoftupdates.
You want to install those.
You want to follow these to theT?
Then it has a launcher.

(18:17):
This is what their launcherlooks like.
If you want to launch itdirectly into virtual VR virtual
reality then you click thatbutton and you select your
resolution, v-sync graphics, youname it.
So here's another look at your, basically the launcher.
And then this is how youregister online and you sign in.

(18:39):
You sign in through thelauncher right here where you
put your details, and itautomatically sign you in when
you start.
And yeah, that covers the setup.
Then it tells you keyboardshortcut guide, if you want to
look at that, rob.

Erick (18:57):
Markmanis, is that a mouse?

Jason (18:58):
This guy mouse, rob Markmanis, it's a mouse, oh man,
oh man, rob Markmanis.
Oh, he went there, my man, robMarkmanis.
This game is next level.

Jeff (19:04):
Man, ooh, that's low, that's low for you EA if you're
watching oh that was the commentof the century 21-year game man
Listen.

Jason (19:13):
EA.
I will go back to school andlearn some coding and put the
damn mouse in your games.

Erick (19:19):
Please let me know.
I'm just saying VR is one thing, but mouse support.

Jason (19:23):
Come on.
Oh yeah, your mouse will workin VR too.

Erick (19:26):
It should.
Okay, they're just flexing now.

Jason (19:31):
So that's Rally Sim fans.
Guys, it is not the prettiestlooking game, I want to tell you
that.
But the physics it is regardedas the most realistic rally
physics you'll ever put yourhands on.
It's hard, it's difficult andI'm pretty sure when our users,

(19:56):
when you guys, watch this video, there's probably RBR fans that
can back me up here on howdifficult it can be to drive
these cars.
But it's very rewarding and itworks.
With all our hardware, all thehardware that we have, it works.
So if you're new to sim racingand you have a passion for rally

(20:16):
, if, if, if rallies one of yourpassion, or if you have a low
end PC, you can run this forfree, you can download it for
free and start driving away.
So that's just a quick look, Iguess, on RBR.
It's cool man.

Jeff (20:32):
Because every now and again I want to get in and just
jump back into WRC.
But it's cool that there's.
I didn't even know that thiswas out there, that there was
another.
So thanks for bringing it up.
Man, I appreciate it.
It's just, you know, everynight I'm not a big rally guy.
Obviously it's very hard withthe wheel, but it is super fun
to just get in there.
And well, jeff, you just pickedup a sequential shifter.
It might be that time.

Jason (20:53):
It might be that time, and here's the thing, guys.
So, like you know, a lot of ushave different schedules,
different times and stuff, youknow, for racing for racing, I
mean, and sometimes Jeff and Ilive out here and it's hard to
find a race, sometimes dependingon the sim, unless we've been

(21:22):
using a lot of iRacing, becauseof that mainly, and iRacing is
awesome At the same time it's awin-win.
But with this online, the wayit works, it's not, you're
online in real time.
It's just that this week we'rein Croatia and we're on track
two or stage three or whateverit is, and you just do your
rally and you post your time andthen next week it'll go to the
next one.
So there's a little flexibilityon you know.

(21:45):
Okay, you see what?

Jeff (21:45):
I'm trying to say you know that is super cool and and you
know I know we we crap on f1 abunch.
But when I did use uh, you knowthe f1 23 is I think it was 23
was when I really started using.
It was they had like the trackthat this f1 series was at and
and you could do a.
You know it was like post yourfastest lap of the day or you

(22:08):
know you'd race AI and whateverit was but and there would be a
leader board throughout theseason.
That was cool.
So in what you're saying is,hey, the Croatia series is there
moving around and you just getin there when you can Exactly
and run your stage.

Jason (22:23):
That's super cool up a little earlier, maybe do a
little exercise.
I know Jeff likes to go forruns sometimes in the morning.

(22:45):
You can jump in there 15minutes post your rally time and
go about your business, andyou're still competing in the
championship, you're stilltrying to get better.
I think it's great, that'ssuper cool.
I think it's absolutely awesomeand it's free.
You can't yeah, that's cool, that's hard to wrap your head
around.

Jeff (23:03):
It's free.
You can't.
Yeah, that's cool.

Erick (23:04):
That's hard to wrap your head around.
It's free.
Another piece like are theyinterested in Midnight Club,
Specifically Dub Edition?
I'm just saying I know I knowat least one person that would
fully support you, buy youcoffee or something like that.
That's it, if you guys were tostand up.
Midnight Club Dub Edition.
I'm just saying Right One guy, right here, sure somebody else

(23:25):
had that man.

Jason (23:26):
So RBR, that's kind of a I say a quick overview, because
there's a lot With 90 gigs.

Jeff (23:34):
there's got to be a lot.
Yeah, there's custom pace notes.

Jason (23:38):
You can customize the actual pace notes on the track
so you know how you have yourco-driver and he's telling you
turn by turn.
You listen to those guys.

Jeff (23:48):
It's like a different language.
Sometimes you listen to it.
They're like right two leftover one, peak one, three, four,
seven 80, hold break into yeah.

Jason (24:02):
But it's kind of nice when you learn how to listen to
that and you stop looking at theprompt.
I highly recommend peoplegetting into rally.
Just turn the prompts off.
Turn the prompts off, keep yourhead, keep your eyes on the
road, that's the best thing.
And just listen, because thestuff that he's telling you is
based off speed, how fast you'removing and how fast you're

(24:23):
approaching.
So he'll say, if you're goingat full speed, he's going to say
, all right, 80 meters, 20,.
That means the next turn iscoming.
Five If it's a high number, thehigher the number.
I think the max number is six.
If it's a six, right, thenthat's like the easiest.
Six, like the what do you callthis?

(24:44):
A short, like a wide.
If it's a four, three, then thesmaller, smaller.
You got to turn.
You know what I mean.
If it's a one, it's damn near90.
And if it's a hairpin, you'redown in first gear and pulling
the e-brake to get around thehairpin.
So just look at it that wayFrom the highest number to the

(25:07):
lowest number, the lowest numbermeaning the sharpest turn.
But sometimes it's not thatsimple.
You got like a three into a one, into a two into a.

Jeff (25:17):
You're like oh shit, you know what I'm saying I can't
remember what I ate forbreakfast and he's giving me
three turns ahead.

Jason (25:22):
Yeah, sometimes you straight up lose him.
You're like, oh, what did hesay?
So rally is the only time whereI turn music off.
When I'm practicing, when I'mracing music's off, when I'm
practicing music's on Rally, themusic is always off.

Erick (25:37):
You gotta hear.

Jason (25:39):
The co-driver.
Yeah, so that's RBR.
If you guys have any questions, email the show at
thechicanepodcasts at gmailcomor leave a comment.
I'm pretty sure there's ahealthy RBR fans out there that
will chime on this and give thisa try.
I'll leave the links to whereyou can get this.
And they have a big Discordcommunity, which, of course.

(26:03):
Discord is like the book toeverything.
Right, it's like the manual toeverything, the digital manual
you always need whatever you getinto sim racing wise, you might
want to check if they have aDiscord Highly recommend.
So that covers my section onRBR.

(26:25):
It's really fun.
It's a lot of fun.
Check it out.

Erick (26:30):
Yeah, yeah, I'm going to download that man because I'm
very interested in just thisrally in general and taking your
advice and turning off theprompts, because that usually is
what happens.
I'm trying to look at theprompts and I don't really pay
attention to what they're sayingand the prompts just aren't
enough information.

Jason (26:47):
And they're fast.

Erick (26:48):
You know they're changing and moving and so, yeah, I
think I'm gonna take that advice.

Jason (26:54):
And actually turn.
I recommend anybody that has asim racing setup on PC.
I would turn the entire HUD off, you know, as you have a small
dashboard that can let you knowwhat you need to know, which.
That's what Lovely Dashboard'sfor.
You don't need to have anydistractions on the screen.

(27:18):
You really don't.

Jeff (27:19):
You don't need Like an immersion too, in my opinion.

Jason (27:22):
You don't need a map or any of this stuff unless you're
practicing.
If you want that, or if you'relooking at lap times, again,
practice.
But if you're just racing, youjust want road and vehicles.
That's it, I understand that?

Erick (27:38):
Yeah, that definitely makes sense.
All right, that's cool.

Jason (27:40):
So, eric, let's hear about this 3D printer, which I'm
jealous, definitely makes sense.
All right, that's cool.
So, Eric, let's hear about this3D printer, which I'm jealous.
So, you know he beat us to it,Jeff.

Jeff (27:53):
I know, man, We've been complaining about it for a while
too.

Erick (27:55):
Hey, I tried to give y'all some time, man.
Oh yeah, my wife.
She had a different plan inmind and of course I'm pretty
sure there's some things shemight have seen she wants
printed as well.

Jason (28:09):
Oh yeah, it's never a one-way street.

Jeff (28:10):
Small price to pay, small price to pay.

Jason (28:13):
She knew exactly what she did when she bought that
printer.

Erick (28:17):
Let me know.
I'll print it out in between.
Whatever I'm printing, for sureshe's going to want that money
back.

Jason (28:24):
That's how.

Erick (28:28):
Hey, however, she gets it , you know, in payments for real
but, uh I want to share thewebsite here.
So, uh, the printer that I gotwas the bamboo lab a1 printer.

Jason (28:40):
It's definitely not it's not that one I was about to say.

Erick (28:42):
That's like no, I don't know why they're even showing me
that.
Matter of fact, let's go totheir 3D printers.

Jason (28:48):
It looks beautiful though , that P1S bro, yeah, the P1S is
nice.
That looks dope too, you know, sorry, it looks like a
microscope, almost like almost, with the platform you know, just
without the to yeah it's, it'spretty cool.

Erick (29:02):
I actually have it.
You can't see this just offcamera right here, which uh just
to show you guys right, quick.

Jason (29:10):
I bet you're in love with that thing, eric, I bet you,
you.

Erick (29:13):
You got a smile on your face there, it is right there
off to the side didn't have toreally move anything, I just
cleared some stuff off that spot.
All right, we're gonna have tobreak it in his house.

Jason (29:24):
Just cleared some stuff off that spot.

Erick (29:25):
All right, we're going to have to break into his house.
Hey look, hey man, y'all canjust send something over to the
printer For real.

Jeff (29:31):
And then Venmo yells $20 to send it over.

Jason (29:33):
Look at this freaking UI on this website.
Man, yeah, man, that's dope.

Erick (29:38):
So this is so.
It's another rabbit hole.
Damn it, eric Now.
So it's another rabbit hole.

Jason (29:43):
Damn it, Eric.
Now I'm going to have to buyone.

Erick (29:45):
Look just the printer itself.
And the thing that you'llappreciate, Jason, is they've
thought of almost everythingright as a way to make it
user-friendly.
They call it the Apple ofprinters, of 3D printers, and
it's like that for a reason.
It is so simple, it's so.

(30:07):
Everything is so well thoughtout.
Um, and just kind of using thisui trying to scroll down to see
if they had some other that isa apple-ish ui too, by the way,
kind of like their website butthis is just clean, huh it's,
it's clean, and this is reallyjust a good way for me to kind
of show off what all is going onhere.

(30:28):
So the printer head is here andthis guy over here, this is a.
There's a camera in here.
There's a light that you canturn on, a camera that records
time lapses, everything you'reprinting.
Uh, damn, so you can monitoryour, your prints you can
monitor your prints.
Wow, dude, you can either printfrom the screen.

(30:50):
I've touched the screen likemaybe once.
I've been printing pretty muchnon-stop since friday bamboo.

Jason (30:55):
Can we get a collab bro?
Can we?
You know I'm saying can we lookit's, it's dope.

Erick (31:00):
So when I say they've thought of everything, so
they've thought of everything inthe sense of, yeah, this
printer, whenever it you knowyou need to change colors or
anything like that, this littleguy over here to the left is
where it kind of like, gets ridof the excess filament, and if
you don't have anything overhere, it's just open space.

(31:20):
So the first time it does isflicking chunks of just melted
filament out to the side.
You're like man, that sucks, wow, you know.
But if you go here, theyactually have something for you
to print that attaches onto theside to catch the filament.
No way, even this, uh, so thisso you're like recycling
basically it's, it's, it's so.

(31:42):
It makes so much sense, right, you don't have to buy it you're
buying a 3d printer, bro it'sI'm telling you, man you have
the same smile on your face

Jeff (31:53):
you have the same smile on your face, bro.

Erick (31:55):
So even off to the right here.
So this is called ams.
Uh, for you ams stand for, butessentially by default you come
with just the ability to printfrom one second feeder, right
like a feeder yeah, and thisactually lets you print from
four different colors and, ifI'm not mistaken, you can
actually connect two of these up, so you can have a total of
eight.
But maybe you don't have thefootprint right.

(32:17):
You don't have the space tohave this off to the side,
wherever you want to put it.
They actually have something.
Oh, that's fine, there'ssomething for you to 3d print
that lets you sit this on top ofthe printer on the rail.
Wow, that's free attachment yeah, it's, it's like it makes so
much sense once you start 3dprinting stuff like oh, I'll
just print that, even when itcomes down to like the type of

(32:38):
materials, because there are somany like, so I'm going to show.
Um, I'll show that in a second.
I want to show a couple ofother things.
As far as websites go, this isthe website.
If you want to buy it, we'lllook at the prices.

Jason (32:55):
I got to ask you about price, man.

Erick (33:00):
This printer with the AMS right now is on sale for $509.
I'll let you know the AMS byitself is $250.
So that is a heck of a deal.
The printer by itself is $400.
So right now, this $509 pricefor both of them is pretty solid

(33:21):
.

Jason (33:21):
Yeah, it's pretty good man, because you know you want
the option to to mix in colors.
And yeah, you don't want to,you don't want to straight, you
don't want to limit yourself, soI get it yep, but uh, once
again, you also have the optionto add that on later.

Erick (33:39):
Like you can buy the ams.
Like I said, it comes bydefault with one spool holder
and they even have somethingwhere you can use the default
spool holder.
They don't even show it here, but it's just something that
clips on top, like what I haveon mine.
They have where you can just 3Dprint another arm for it and
just stick a second roll onthere and use that.
You don't even have to buy theAMS out the gate is is such a

(34:02):
like you're, it's, it's, I'm.
I'm at a loss for words justbecause the concept has existed,
but I'm just now discovering itand the idea that, oh, you just
make whatever you need andyou're buying something to make
what you need, so it's designedfor you to make what you need.
Like it's.
It seems simple once simpleonce you start using it, but

(34:25):
they've literally thought ofeverything.

Jeff (34:32):
Eric, it's cool that they didn't try to nickel and dime
you to buy the mount to put iton top.

Erick (34:39):
They're like oh no, just press this button, you can print
your own yep and it comes withfilament right for you to even
do that too so, depending onwhich one you buy, um, I don't
know about the ams if it comeswith filament, but with mine it
came with like a little bit offilament.
But it also came with a a boatto print.

(35:00):
So you're thinking about like,oh, you're going to print the
boat, but what did it come with?
So it actually comes with likea little motor that you put on
the back of the boat once you'redone printing it, and the box
that it comes in has a QR codeand you just scan the QR code
and it pulls up the app.

Jason (35:13):
Oh, my God Eric.

Erick (35:15):
And and you go into the app and you pick all your
parameters I, parameters I needto mute this man, I'm gonna.

Jason (35:26):
Hey, man, look, go ahead if you're gonna.
Is this payback, bro, for allthe money I made you spend?
Is that?

Erick (35:29):
what that is.
Oh, I've only, I've only begun.
So, as our listeners know, theyhear us talking about why you
should not go to etsy, so I'mjust gonna, you know, pop up
etsy here, right quick oh, thisis one of the reasons why we
don't go to Etsy.
You go to Etsy, you put in simracing and it's all kind of
stuff.
You want to build a Macho Wheel.

(35:50):
You want to build an enclosurefor a Race Logic.
You want to build your own flag.

Jason (35:56):
Look at that phone dude.
Look at that racing seat phoneholder.

Erick (35:59):
Look at that.
You want to make this racingseat seat.
You can literally just printthat on the laying it on thick,
all of this yes, he is.
You want to print it this, eventhis thing she's holding.
You're like, oh, that'sentirely too big.
It'll print it sections for youto be able to connect up
together and just have one big,one big piece.
I mean it's.
The options are limitless andetsy is where people have been

(36:20):
just taking advantage of this islike propaganda bro I'm getting
infected right now.
Oh yeah, look, and it's notgonna be curable man it's just
continues.

Jason (36:33):
It's like all right man, all that is 3d printing.

Erick (36:36):
You're right oh, so the and the thing that I've learned
about 3d printing is in my mind.
Initially it was oh, you hit, print and a finished thing comes
out and that's that's.
The reality is that's notalways the case, depending on
what you're printing, right, some of the stuff you need to
finish, right, you might need tostand it a little bit, but the
fact that you can choose whattype of material you want.

(36:58):
If I want to print a uh, avinyl label, I can use a 3d
printer, as long as I'm usingthe correct filament.
You can print it in tpu andlike put that vinyl label on
whatever you want to want to putit on.
Like.
The options are are limitless, but the I guess now we'll have

(37:19):
like a little bit of show andtell, just some of the stuff
that I've been printing.
So I want to just kind of speakinto all the filament options.

Jason (37:29):
They should hire this guy Freaking salesman right here.

Erick (37:32):
Hey, I'm available.
So, if you're curious, you knowwell, how many different
filaments do they really have?
So they give you in the boxthey give you this some.
How many different filaments dothey really have?
So they give you in the boxthey give you this some little
filament samples, and so this isnot how they came.
This actually is something thatyou just hit in 3D print.

(37:55):
It prints in like 40 minutes toput the samples in, but I have
to print three more of these.

Jason (38:01):
My wallet is screaming right now.

Erick (38:04):
Why do you got?

Jason (38:04):
to print more of these.
My wallet is screaming.

Erick (38:05):
Right now I have to print three more of these, because
it's not just those samples, there are so many.
It's like all these differentsamples of the different
filaments you can have, and it'sABS, it's smooth, it's matte,
it's shiny, it's fluorescent.
Whatever you want to print, however you want to print it,
you can pick a color, pick afilament type, depending on.

Jeff (38:27):
What's the damage on a?

Erick (38:28):
roll of filament.
So right now, a base roll offilament like what I have, uh,
if you don't have the spool is20 bucks 20 to 24 bucks
depending on where you get itfrom.
If you have a spool, you youcan get a refill for $14 to $19.
The reason why I say that is ifyou buy just one, it'll be $19.
If you buy at least four fromBamboo, it'll end up being $14

(38:52):
per.
And, once again, if you don'thave a spool, instead of
spending $20 to $24, youliterally can just print a spool
to put the refill on, of course.
So now you only have to buy therefills, like it's.
It's it's self-licking icecream cone, exactly, man, it's
such a crazy concept.

(39:12):
It's like, hey, you don't haveto buy this stuff from you.
Like, just buy the filament andprint it.
Whatever it is, as long as yougot filament, you can print it.
So something else, um, justthinking about rig stuff.
So I have, uh, I think likeJason used to have as well.
I have the steel series Nova prowireless, which has this nice
little deck here, and if youwant to attach it to your SIM

(39:36):
rig, you have to.
You know, some people do usedouble-sided tape and things
like that, but I don't know.
Um, I went on and somebodyactually had a file for a mount
and it actually has Arctic NovaPro in the back.
Let's go you just pop it in.

(39:57):
And now this will attach to myrig.
It has a spot for the batteryClearance in the back for all
the ports, screw it down andit's solid.
I can mount it from the top, mount it on the side, however
you want to put it in there.

Jason (40:10):
This printed in probably an hour and a half you could be
at work and just send it toprint.
Come home and it's ready.

Erick (40:20):
I found this and sent it to the printer while we were
eating dinner.
Eating dinner, I'm like, oh,you got to go to the bathroom,
okay, yeah.

Jason (40:31):
Yeah, come home Click.

Erick (40:32):
Off the printer.
Yeah, just come home, just pullit off the printer.
And so early, when I mentionedbeing able to print things that
are bigger than essentially whatyour printer can do in one shot
, uh, you can piece thingstogether.
So this right here is somethingthat one of my homies print yo,
this is like a two-piece deal, and it even has this it looks

(40:55):
high quality you can't see anyof the lines or nothing, and and
we mentioned the colors whatthe hell is that.
So this is a little base and Iwish I could Base.
It's like a rock.
Oh, oh, oh, oh.
So I just have this sittingunderneath my TV, for the Colts
Get a little rowdy.

Jason (41:16):
Which, if you were to buy something like that Colts with
the Colts name on it, hundredsof dollars.

Erick (41:22):
Yeah, bro, this would be a hundred bucks easily.
But the handle is one print andthe mallet is another print,
and then you print the coloredpieces and glue them on
individually.
But I mean, this is justsomething I printed, another one
I'm making one for my homie.
He likes the bears I printedone, Rob Markman.

Jason (41:38):
So you're printing weapons now, Rob Markman?
That escalated quickly, RobMarkman.

Jeff (41:41):
So you're printing weapons now?
Rob Markman, that escalatedquickly.

Erick (41:44):
Rob Markman yeah, but I mean just the options are-.
Rob Markman, I'm going to hityou over the head with my
freaking printed hammer.

Jason (41:48):
Hold on, give me like three hours.

Erick (41:50):
Rob Markman.
Oh yeah, rob Markman.
Exactly Rob Markman.
How long did that?

Jason (41:52):
take.

Erick (41:52):
Rob Markman Like, count your time.
All right, it's coming, becauseyou're about.
The last thing I want to showyou guys is the app, so try to
do this best I can how much timefor the hammer?
So the hammer is total probablyabout eight and a half hours.

(42:13):
No, okay, so the machine took itlike a champ no overheating, no
nothing when I said I've beenprinting non-stop, I literally I
printed the mallet, the mallethead, the handle started
printing and the girls I toldthem we'd have a movie night up
here.
So I hit pause, it paused theprinting.
We watched the movie for twoand a half hours.
I hit unpause and it keptprinting the handle oh.

Jason (42:38):
The second one's ready to go, and so it was like you give
this to Jeff man Dude, He'llhave crates of shit.

Jeff (42:46):
Dude, I have stuff for the rig for fishing, for the boat
Boat, for mountain biking.

Erick (42:51):
So this is just the beginning, right?

Jason (42:54):
Your go-karts too, you can fit stuff.

Erick (42:56):
Oh, yeah, yeah, so-.

Jason (42:58):
Like fog lights for him.

Erick (42:59):
Yeah, so so this is the app.
So this is actually like acamera feed from the printer.
You're actually watching it.
That's cool.
Yeah, so it's showing me whatit just printed.
It says it's 100% done and Ican go into the printer and it
gives me different options.
I can cut the little light onand off.

Jason (43:19):
All right, I'm sold man.
I've been sold five minutes ago.
The little light on and off,all right, I'm sold man.

Erick (43:23):
I've been sold five minutes ago, but then also I
have let me see.

Jason (43:28):
I see, I see Eric flexing with the, with the fold.
I see you.

Erick (43:32):
Oh yeah, man, you got to be able to demonstrate, man.
So when I mentioned the, youknow he's been able to get stuff
like.
So this is a mic stand that youcan just print out Right.

Jason (43:43):
Oh, a mic stand that you can just print out, right.
Oh, that's from the.

Erick (43:44):
From like the app like a marketplace and it's free, right
?
Yep, so everything on here isfree and it's called maker world
, so it's in the app as well.
So anything in here, like theygot a little cage, like they got
some, everything like you pullit up night.
Yeah, you hit the item and youcan go into it.
And when you go into print, itknows what filament you have.

(44:06):
You select which printer youhave, it tells you how long
it'll take if anybody hasremixed it.
So maybe somebody put up a fileand somebody printed it out and
they're like, oh, this filewill be better if I tweak this a
little bit.
This is actually a V2 of this,so the original one, the deck
just kind of sat in there prettyloose, and so somebody was like

(44:27):
, hey, I'm going to adjust itjust a little bit so the deck
fits a little more snug.
So when you go and you selectwhat you're going to print, you
can just swipe over to the V2 ofit and it literally says like a
little note, this one, you know, holds a little more snugly
that one, and so, like I said, this is all stuff that everybody
else is providing you.

(44:47):
But you have a studio app thatyou can install and you can take
these designs, you can tweakthem yourself.
There's an app you can downloadon your phone.
You can scan something likewhen I tell you this is a hobby
all on its own, obviously I'm,you know, I got into it for all

(45:07):
right, jeff, we're gonna have totalk about shipping, when,
whenever you decide to order one, and we'll, we'll split the
shipping cost you know.

Jeff (45:18):
It just seems like it coming from.
I mean, I know what a 3dprinter is, but like past that
basics of it, it seems likecoming from.
I mean, I know what a 3Dprinter is but like past that
basics of it.
It seems like that company, bamboo, kind of takes a lot of
the back-end knowledge, if youwill, or requirements to know
how to do this stuff.
They just kind of it seems likeit has a pretty good GUI

(45:38):
interface that takes a lot ofthat like beeps and squeaks out
of figuring it out.

Erick (45:45):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that was, that was really like
simplicity homie, yeah, my homie, he has, uh, the p1s.
And so in my mind I'm like, ohyou, you spent a thousand
dollars for yours.
Of course yours is easy.
But when you look at thetechnology, like, like the print
quality, the features and JCLloved this, so you can select

(46:06):
different modes for it to printin.
You can have standard, which Ihave, you can have fast, you can
have quiet, and it has aludicrous mode.
So, you can print ludicrous, soto print as fast as possible,
ludicrous speed.
Yeah, but obviously that'll belouder and probably a lot more

(46:26):
vibrations and all that stuff.
Like when you, when you set itup, you start, you really
appreciate the thought that'sbeen put into it and just what
it can do, because the stand Ihave it on is not stable at all.
Like I put feet on it becauseit's on carpet.
It rocks a lot really and whenyou calibrate it it literally
like tests all the parameters, like it shakes as hard as it can
, it vibrates as loud as it can,it goes through the full

(46:48):
spectrum from violent shaking toreally fine shaking To make
sure yeah.
Once it's done, it's like okay,I understand it now I know
exactly what I can do.
And when it's printing like Iwas nervous, like when it's
printing like I was nervous, like when it's printing like the
whole little thing is likerocking back and forth and it's
going fast and slow and it'swiping off the nozzle and coming
back and going slow and likefor this handle, this is on the

(47:12):
bed and it's in the printers, islike going like back and forth
and the whole thing is shaking, but it's still lining everything
up perfectly.
Ah, that's crazy.
Yeah, and this is like 350bucks and I don't have to use
any tools on it.
I don't have to tweak it, youknow you go into these apps and

(47:35):
you hit a button and it asks.
It literally says do you have abamboo printer, yes or no?
You're like, yes, okay, whichprinter do you have?
Which filament?
Okay, I got you.
Send it to the printer If youdon't have a bamboo printer.
It's like wait, here's a file.
Good luck, yeah, whatever yougot.
Wow.

Jason (47:52):
Good luck.
Wow, that's amazing, that'samazing.

Erick (47:56):
I don't think I've ever seen you this happy, seriously.
Rob Markman.
I've just gotten, because I'mjust realizing what it's like a
new world.
I'm just realizing what all Ican do Because I haven't even
designed anything yet.
I haven't.
I go through a lot of phonesand.

(48:18):
I'm always in a place where I'mlike it'd be nice if I had a
phone cradle for this or that.
And now it's like I canliterally take a calorimeter and
measure my phone down to themillimeter, put it into the
designer and design me theperfect cradle at the right
angle.
Wow, all this stuff.

Jeff (48:37):
Boy, that rabbit hole goes way back there.
It's deep.

Jason (48:41):
Yeah, but that's man.
That's so awesome though.

Jeff (48:44):
Oh, it is super cool.

Jason (48:45):
Don't get me wrong Super cool.

Erick (48:47):
It's deep, but it's not pricey, though.
It's really like how much timedo you want to invest in
learning how to 3D model orsearch for just the right file,
print something and kind ofadjust it how you want?
It's different and it's to meit's kind of a worse rabbit hole

(49:08):
, because a lot of this stuff isessentially free.
Of course, you got to pay forthe filament, but just to try it
out, like you go online, hit abutton and it appears hours
later in real life, at yourhouse, in real shipping, like it
could be snowing outside.
No, no.

Jason (49:24):
That's a great point yeah .

Erick (49:27):
I need something here.

Jeff (49:29):
The man says like it appears like a teleported over I
said it before, we can have aCOVID part two.

Jason (49:34):
We're going to be ready this time.

Erick (49:37):
I'm going to order a crap load of filament.
I want to order a crap load offilament.
I'll see y'all on the otherside.
That's it, bro man, that's,yeah, that.
That's that's my discussion.
If y'all got any questionsanybody has any questions
definitely drop them in the chat, because I, I'm a, I'm a
believer.
Now, okay, like I say, it's nota hundred percent.
Some stuff you have to, youknow, do some finishing work on,

(50:01):
but to get a full, ready to goproduct in your house, you can't
beat it.

Jason (50:08):
I'm already thinking about how I'm gonna get this
thing over here, so yeah, oh,that's smart potatoes man, I
think honestly, I think it's agreat overview and you made a
great point is the shipping.
You know, every time I ordersomething off Etsy, minimum is
$10, $12.
That's the cost of a refill andmany items.

(50:32):
I know those little plasticthingies that hold the wires
together inside the 8020.

Jeff (50:38):
Oh, my goodness bro Jeff can tell you how many of those
he ordered, so I'll tell you.
Paid for somebody's 3D printer.
There you go.

Erick (50:47):
I've been printing stuff since Friday, since I got it you
kept this a secret, bro.

Jason (50:53):
We didn't know anything about this.
I tried my best.

Erick (50:55):
You saw I was radio silent.
I wasn't really saying much.

Jason (50:59):
I'm not kidding guys, we didn't know about this.
No much, I'm not kidding guys.

Erick (51:01):
We didn't know about this at all.
I was trying my best not tosend a picture of anything that
I printed of the printer.

Jason (51:07):
Oh, jeff, get your phone ready, because the news is out
Now.
We're going to get all kinds ofcontent on that chat.

Erick (51:14):
Yeah it's coming While it's printing.

Jason (51:19):
I think that's great, I think that's awesome and we have
we have somebody on the chicanepodcast, a co-host, eric Kelly,
that has a 3d printer.
So if you have any questionsabout them, you know pretty
recently purchased, it's a goodresource, I mean and I might

(51:39):
have to get one.
I might have to get one.
I know.

Erick (51:42):
Yeah, man, yeah, and if I don't know the answer I'll
definitely ask, try to figure itout myself.
Might be something I'm alreadytrying to figure out.
So definitely drop them in thecomment section.

Jason (51:54):
I just think it's awesome , like having something.
It's like having something thatcan be teleported or beamed to
you while you're away, somethingthat can be teleported or
beamed to you while you're away, instead of waiting on the mail
and then the package comes.
It may come damaged, it may notcome at all if you have those
kind of people around at snagpackages.

(52:14):
Or, instead of paying forshipping, I'd rather invest my
money in in the filament andjust have a crap ton of filament
and print whatever man.
That's dangerous, bro, becausethe more you have, the more you
print.
Huh, it's kind of interesting.

Erick (52:31):
I mean you find, you find stuff, even like stuff for you,
like around the house, like Isaid, the, the, the options are
endless because there's you.
You just start like none ofthat, I have it.
I start thinking about stuffthat I can print something for,
because you don't even your mindisn't even in that mode of
solving problems like that.
Like you might look at yourdesk and be like, oh, I got crap

(52:52):
in my desk, let me put it inthe drawer.
Like, oh, I could literallydesign and print and organize
specifically for the stuff thatI have to organize, you know,
and put the right measurementsin there.
It just depends on how mucheffort you want to put into it.
But I'm trying to customizeeverything now, that's what's up
, man?

Jeff (53:11):
Repeat after me.
They gave it to me.

Jason (53:13):
That's right.
There you go, that's right.

Erick (53:16):
I'm just going to let that's the other slogan, man.

Jason (53:20):
I'll put a blanket over it or something I don't know,
yeah, yeah.
So I can't even concentrate onthe show right now.
I'm thinking where is it goingto go?
I'm looking over here.
There's this little space rightthere you know I might have to
take some measurements orsomething.
But thank you, eric, that wasawesome.
You become our new 3D expert.

(53:41):
Anything you print out, that'scrazy, crazy man.
Just show it here on the show.
Mean it, showcase it.
Anything, anything sim racingrelated.
I mean, the deck holder isawesome.
You know it's it.
It cleans up the setup and youguys gotta think, yes, you can
double side, uh, you can stickystuff together, right, but if

(54:03):
you ever have to move this thing, something to consider, you
know what I mean, because nowyou can break it or you can
leave a nasty stain or something, but something clean, that
screws on, that can be unbolted,is always going to be the
better option, my opinion.

Erick (54:18):
So so this would be controversial.
For sure you can 3D print 80-20.

Jason (54:28):
You can 3D print 80-20.
You can 3D print the cornerbrackets.

Erick (54:33):
You can 3D print the end caps If you need, like a mouse
holder.
You want an arm to hold abutton box.
That's not a lot of weight.

Jason (54:44):
Okay, okay, I'm thinking the rig as a structure.
I'm like, dude, I'm going tofall through this ABS.
Yeah, not a whole rig, for sure, the butt kicker alone is going
to destroy it, but I have anarm that just is For a button
box or a phone holder displaylight duty, whatever light duty,
yeah, yeah something light.

Erick (55:05):
You know, just print one okay.

Jason (55:10):
Yeah, man, I'm ready to move on from this topic.
It's amazing, but but the manyou're pulling the same type of
tactics I do You've learned alot from me is what it is.

Erick (55:23):
I appreciate it, you've been studying.

Jason (55:26):
He cannot get the smile off the face, man, I swear
that's what's up, though I'mjust thinking about more stuff
to print Yo the 3D printer.

Jeff (55:33):
This episode is the greatest thing that happened to
that printer so far.
Because it's like finally, it'slike oh, I get to take a break
for a little bit I see.

Erick (55:45):
Oh yeah, it's the only time it's taking a break,
besides that movie.
Yeah, I pulled this off beforewe started shooting oh wow, hot
off the press literally.
I already got something thatI'm gonna print up.

Jason (55:55):
Next, already at the core of the queue well, we have
another banger of an episode, itsounds like, because this right
here is a highlight, in myopinion.
I mean, we still got some morestuff to cover, so let's move on
, because I my mind is straighton 3d printer and I need one and
I need to finish this episodeso I can do some research.

(56:17):
But over to jeff, jeff, whatyou got for us, man, alright my
man, hey.

Jeff (56:21):
So I had a friend and family come over I think I
talked about it last episode andhe asked me a question and I
thought it was prettyinteresting.
You know, we walked around thesim for I don't know an hour,
hour and a half, just he wasasking a bunch of questions, but
I showed him all the differenttypes of sims and games that
there are and he's likeeventually he was like, hey, man
, if you had to, if you had topick one sim for the rest of

(56:45):
your life, you got to play whatwould it be?
And I was like I racing.
And then I started to think Iwas like, hmm, would it be?
So while you guys are thinkingabout your answer, I'm gonna go
with mine and it might becontroversial, or maybe not your
standard issue.

Jason (57:04):
I'm telling you it's F1, bro, because I'm going to walk
out.
I'm going to straight walk out.

Jeff (57:09):
It's not that controversial, let's be honest.
Ams 2.

Jason (57:17):
I have to agree with him, eric oh really Wow, but I want
to listen to why I was going topeg you a different one, but
I'll go.

Jeff (57:26):
why I said it.
First is the vast number ofcars that it has, from new cars
to the current model cars, forthe most part Go-karts to F1.
It just updated.
The go-karts too was classicv-lan classic cars to you know,

(57:49):
gt3s, the whole gamut.
Then they have like a huge listof tracks that you can race and
then you can grab.
You know, each one of thosetracks, like you know some of to
iRacing, gives you the abilityto race different years.
That it was you know, etc.
Um vr compatible um one of thebest vr titles on pc yeah, um,

(58:12):
there are is a not nearly themodding community, that uh set
of courses, but a pretty decent,um modern community.
Like I got the, uh, the newskins for the F1 cars, um, and
you can ingest those in and havethe F.
The F1 cars have the currentskins and you can download the

(58:32):
tracks et cetera for the F1track that don't come with AMS
too, um, I, and now that it'slow fuel, motorsports has AMS in
it, so it just kind of adds tothe kind of just the robustness.
The only thing that it's reallymissing their online community
is there.
I mean, let's not be honest, itcan't hold a candle to the

(58:55):
iRacing and stuff.
But there is some.

Jason (58:59):
But you got low fuel for that, yeah, and that's probably
where it's getting.

Jeff (59:02):
It's going to get bigger.
But uh, I started I was likeman, it's a pretty well-rounded
sim.
I mean the graphics are.
I think the graphics are reallyare good, um, the handling's
good, it's.
It's just a pretty well-roundedum sim.
So I've talked to a bunch wecould have, you know, uh, eric
or Jason, you guys want to tellme if you could only only load

(59:25):
up one game, one sim, what wouldit be?

Erick (59:29):
So question.

Jason (59:31):
Yeah, eric, you want to go first Cause I kind of agree I
that's a hard one man.
Cause when you mentionedcontent manager, you just
reminded me.

Jeff (59:42):
That's what I was going to tell.
I'm like I had you as ACcontent manager for sure.

Jason (59:46):
Now I will say this before you go, eric, and this
will be very easy, very easy.
I say both of them and I'mgoing to pick both because I'm
the host.
I'm just kidding.
But I say both because AMS is apackage.
You have all the content there, see Content Manager.
It needs that content to bedownloaded in.

(01:00:09):
So, depending on your librarysize, if we go through the
apocalypse tomorrow and theserver shut down, ams will work,
but Content Manager I'm stuck.
I don't know.

Jeff (01:00:22):
I don't know.
I don't know.
There's always something, whenever I get into one of those
Discord servers.
There's always something thatI'm missing.

Jason (01:00:28):
Back your games up.

Jeff (01:00:29):
I got to download something.

Jason (01:00:30):
Back your games up For real Back up your content, just
in case but like for example, ifthis PC died and my backup got
destroyed and I was to downloadcontent manager and compare that
against AMS2, AMS2 will winbecause it's content, that's in
it's.
It's in the game already.

(01:00:51):
It's included.
Yes, that's my take.

Erick (01:00:56):
Yeah, I agree.
Um, and it's funny you say thatbecause I took a couple of laps
in the AMS2, specifically inthe go-kart, so I took a couple
laps in the MS2 specifically inthe go-kart, so I did Mount
Panorama in a go-kart.
It's kind of crazy that's crapit took forever.
It took forever that laststraight you were falling asleep

(01:01:18):
.
I literally drifted off, hitthe grass.

Jeff (01:01:23):
Oh no.

Erick (01:01:24):
Grass and carts don't mix , so I crashed out.
But yeah, I was kind ofpleasantly surprised by how
polished AMS2 was.
I've never done any online orleague racing with AMS2.
I think that'll be cool.
But you mentioned in that it'shard for me not to say um, not

(01:01:45):
to say a set of course.
So with content manager, justbecause for me, um, I like the
gt3 cars but also like kind oflike having more of an open
world option, cruising as well, not just track racing.
That's why, for me, I race andwouldn't really be in the in the
running, because they don'thave that and it's a service
yeah, it's a service as well youcut the cord.

(01:02:07):
It doesn't work no more yeah,it's a service as well.
You cut the cord, it doesn'twork, no more.
Yeah, yeah, um, and funny, funny enough.
When you first said it I waslike man, like ask this question
in a year and I think it'd behard, not to say a set of course
of evil.
Oh, that's because it's goingto have the package on.
It are great.

(01:02:28):
The visuals are great.
Um, there's online components, but you know, we started playing
it offline and you could do airaces on the tracks.
Fine, there was no you know umkind of requirement to be
connected to the network just torun the game, which is kind of
becoming more and more rarethese days.

(01:02:48):
But, but right now I'd have totake AC with Content Manager.
Obviously, if something happensto the servers I'd be screwed,
but where everything is working,Well, I mean, just make sure
you have the content.

Jeff (01:03:07):
Right, and all the plugins and all your what is it pure,
and there's tons of them.

Jason (01:03:16):
Right, the physics and the picture and all of the
things, the beauty of-, thebeauty of-.
Right and I was going to say Imean, you're right, eric, but
the beauty of Content Managerwith AC is that AC is a dead
game.
It's not getting updates.
So you know how I made thattruck, the American Truck

(01:03:39):
Simulator video, right?
Yeah, you know, I left a smallcaveat on.
It is a PITA, a PA, to keepthat game up to date with the
mods.
So anytime that ATS has anupdate and you want to update it
because their updates are greatthey keep adding stuff that

(01:04:00):
want you to upgrade, or fixes orwhatever.
Next thing, you know your modshalf of them don't work, so you
have to wait.

Jeff (01:04:07):
That's such a pain.

Jason (01:04:08):
Yes, so you got to go through each individual.
A pain.
Yes, so for you gotta.
You gotta go through eachindividual developer oh and get
it up to date.
So that's how come sometimes itcould be.
It could be a pain when youmess with mods, but a content
manager doesn't matter.
You can have the version ofpure that was two or three
versions ago.
It doesn't matter, because thegame engine or, you know, the

(01:04:33):
game itself didn't receive anupdate.
Content Manager receivesupdates.
The plugin for Content ManagerI forget it right now, but that
receives updates, but it nevermakes it incompatible, it's only
trying to make it better.
So that's kind of why, that'skind of the differences right,

(01:04:54):
with games that are live andgames that are dead.
So you know AC EVO got a longway to go.
We got to see if that game willrun offline, because all we
know is an open, not an open, what you call this a closed
alpha or an early access so far.
But I know Steam.

(01:05:15):
If you don't have internet withSteam, there's a thing you have
to do to it to make your gameswork offline, and you can only
do it days at a time.

Erick (01:05:30):
I forgot about that piece .
Yes, because you can only do itdays at a time.
So I'm starting to think about.
I forgot about that piece.
Yes, because you got to usethemes.
It's kind of everywhere For thegame.

Jason (01:05:36):
You know, yeah, it's kind of everywhere.
It's like PlayStation or Xbox.
If you're offline for a certainamount of time let's say I
don't know how long and you tryand delete that game and you're
signed off, or I don't know, theconsole does run checks for
licenses for modded stuff orpirated stuff, which is a world

(01:05:59):
we live in, with piracy being abig problem.
That's where that comes from.
That's why those checks are inplace, because of piracy.

Erick (01:06:07):
Yeah, for sure.

Jason (01:06:10):
That's part of it.
So there's options on PC guys.
There's websites that will sellyou non-DRM games, right?
So non-DRM games are games thatyou will own.
You have the setup.
It's a folder now.
It used to be a CD back in theday and you can install it
anytime you want and it's yourgame.

(01:06:31):
But whenever you buy thingsfrom steam, even though it's
free and you own it, you own thelicense to it.
You don't technically own the.
You know the product itself.

Jeff (01:06:44):
Just remember that okay, if I just go real quick, jason.
One more thing to the listeners.
Uh, post a comment if you gotto pick one oh yeah, for sure
yeah, and, more importantly, why.
It's just interesting to pickwhat.
What people would choose whatthey choose I think it's a great
choice.

Jason (01:07:01):
Ams2 is a high contender.
It's a great game, has greatgraphics, it runs on anything.
Um, you know, even back when Ihad a 3080 days, I would see 100
, 200 frames a second and itlooks crisp.
It's a great looking game, sothat's a good one, I agree.

(01:07:22):
I agree with both.
I'm leaning more on a contentmanager side because I drift.
I can't be without drift andthat's the only sim drifter out
there that's one-to-onerealistic.
That's got the physics that youknow.
There's no other sim that I useto drift on or open world

(01:07:43):
explore, you know, like theTokyo Highway, you know, is one
of them.
Example All right, gents, greatquestion.
Actually, that one took me bysurprise.
That's a great question, jeff.
Good topic this week.
But it's that time and it'sthat time for track of the week,
and today I have selected thetrack that I did terrible on

(01:08:09):
just a few weeks ago.
So let me go ahead and share myscreen Once again.
I'm on the podium and we aretalking about Sebring.

Jeff (01:08:25):
Oh.

Jason (01:08:26):
Yes.

Jeff (01:08:27):
That's a tough track, man.

Jason (01:08:29):
Sebring.
Let me get this nice and inshot here.
Hopefully we can see that it isa tough track.
It is a tough track, but we'regoing to go over the history of
this track real quick.
So Sebring you know it's alwaysbeen famous for its 12-hour

(01:08:52):
races.
You know a lot of famousdrivers have been on this track
and one that you'll never guess, jeff and I'm speaking directly
to you you'll never guess hasthe world record lap time on
this thing.
It was built on the runways andconnecting roads of former us

(01:09:16):
army air base, so that thatstraight away was part of an air
base.
Um, it's crazy.
So let me get into the historyhere that's cool, I did.

Jeff (01:09:26):
I knew it was a runway.
I didn't know it was a actual,I'm assuming former military
base, but yeah yeah, so thisagain.

Jason (01:09:33):
Here we go with uh back in the world war stuff.
It seems like thanks to worldwar, which we don't want,
another one.
Uh, we got racing somehow.
This is kind of crazy.

Erick (01:09:44):
Or racing or tracks to race on um, seems to be a thing
for sure.

Jason (01:09:50):
Right, it's like a trend.
So the air base on which itstands was built at the height
of World War II, when the cityof Sebring donated land for a
new air training school.
In June 1941, constructioncrews moved in and began
creating the runways andbarracks with a network of
buildings, roads, sewage, thewhole thing Basically

(01:10:13):
self-contained a small city theyhad there.
Shortly before completion, theorders came through that the
base was to be expanded tobecome the first combat crew
training school in the UnitedStates for heavy bombers,
requiring much more robust andlarge runways To withstand the
pounding of a giant B-17 flyingfortress bombers.

(01:10:35):
Oh God, engineers pouredmultiple slabs of concrete to
form the runways whichcrisscrossed the site in four
directions.
Named Hendricks Field in honorof a fallen flight instructor,
the base spent the rest of thewar training hundreds of pilots

(01:10:59):
for B-17, b-24, and later B-29Super Fortress flight crews.
And then, at the end of the war, it soon became a surplus to
requirements and after a shortperiod of inactivity, the
abandoned airfield was turnedover to the city of Sebring to

(01:11:19):
become Sebring Air Terminal, nowSebring Regional Airport and
Commerce Park.
So here's where the racingstarts.
It was in the geist that Sebringfirst came to the attention of
the racing community.
One day in 1949, just nineyears later, a sports car racer

(01:11:40):
called Sam Collier and BobGaggin, if I'm saying it
correctly, were flying overhead.
When they spotted the airfieldbelow and decided to take a look
.
On landing, they asked to seethe person in charge and asked
if it would be possible to holda race on the grounds.
Alan Altvalder, who ran the airterminal, said it would be a

(01:12:03):
matter of city council to decide, but took them on a tour of the
facility.
So you know, they saw it fromthe air.
Evidently impressed by whatthey had seen, the pair departed
to begin preparations, leavingthe gentleman to talk to the
council members to sound themout.
Basically, at the Watkins GlenRoad Race, which is another

(01:12:27):
awesome track, we should do thatone soon.
In 1950, uh, collier and geganevidently shared the idea with
other racers.
Uh, to sound them out.
Uh, tragically, collier waskilled at the very, at the very
race, and it seemed that theidea might have been died with
him.
Enter fellow racer Ullman, whohad been inspired by a trip to

(01:12:53):
Le Mans and harbored ambitiousto bring European-style racing
to the United States of America, the former president of the
Dowdy Equipment Corporationwhich manufactured landing gears
for military aircraft.
He was also keen on starting anew business, refitting war

(01:13:13):
surplus aircraft for civilianuses.
So here, dude, there's a lot tothis man.
In the book the Sebring Story, ullman writes that what he found
seemed ideal for his vision.
Oman writes that what he foundseemed ideal for his vision two
glorious one-mile straightaways,so necessary for top-speed

(01:13:35):
competition, and other roadsthat could simulate Le Mans.
So he was trying to bring LeMans to America.
Basically, I can see that yeah.
Yeah, so right-angle turns, turns as Mon Lane, and if we
look at, let me see if, yeah, you see there's a curve here
called Le Mans curve.

Jeff (01:13:55):
Yeah, I did see that.

Jason (01:13:56):
Yeah, it's crazy.
I would have never guessed whyit was called that.

Erick (01:14:01):
Yeah, and then it was straight, sir, you going to be
rolling.

Jason (01:14:07):
Yeah.
So in the early years it itsays here, held on new year's
Eve 1950, around 30 cars fromacross the country turned out to
the contest.
Sam Collier, six hour memorialrun to a complicated uh
equivalence formula whichensured that the handful of
local spectators have no cluewho was winning.

(01:14:29):
Rather, it was won by the teamof Ralph Deshan and Fritz Koster
, who had borrowed a spectator'stiny and otherwise unsporting
Crossley hotshot to participatein the event.
So yeah, man, just skipping, skipping, there's so much

(01:14:52):
history here.
In 1959 oldman pulled offsomething, a uh coupe,
organizing first us grand prixfor formula one machinery.
1959 jeff formula one, okay, inthe, in the bumpy concrete,
which I can concur proved a poormatch for the sophisticated

(01:15:15):
single-seaters, and the eventfailed.

Jeff (01:15:18):
It would be a great F1.
I mean, looking at it, thepicture, and then looking back
on driving it, it would be agood track.
It's got long straights andgood turns, slower turns.

Jason (01:15:29):
Yeah, so it failed on the track.
It didn't do well.
So in 1966, the 12 Hours wasself-established.
It became another battlegroundbetween Ford and Ferrari in
preparation for Le Mans.
That year's race was to proveSebring's grimmest hour, however
, thanks to a string offatalities which exposed

(01:15:53):
basically the safety again.
So it seems like a trend, right, every time we do track of the
week, it seems like the track'sview is for it to be super fast
without accounting for safety, and then people start dying and
then they start making changes.

(01:16:14):
So yeah, uh.
The first one was uh, canadianbob mclean was killed when his
ford gt40 suffered mechanicaltrouble sending it in, uh
carrying into a tele damn, atelegraph pole, uh telegram pole
doing in the near-run racetrackcrazy, I know so.
The car bursted into flames withthe mclaren trapped inside the

(01:16:40):
yeah man that sucks yeah, further, further tragedy.
Tragedy was to strike with twohours to go when mario
andretti's ferrari slowed withgearbox trouble, only to be
clipped by don uh wester'sporsche, sending wester first
into a group of spectators whowere stood in a they stood in a

(01:17:01):
restricted zone and then intothe side of a warehouse.
Four spectators, including anine-year-old boy, were killed
and Wester suffered multipleinjuries.

Jeff (01:17:15):
That's terrible.

Erick (01:17:17):
I'm glad they got that under control, man.

Jeff (01:17:19):
That's the type of stuff that closes, tracks down.

Jason (01:17:23):
I mean so back then, you know 1959, I mean, was that 59
or 66?
Yeah, 66.
I mean the rules were kind oflight.
You know, even F1 drivers weredying at least every year.
You know it was common backthen.

Erick (01:17:41):
Yeah, and it was the beginnings, you know, of kind of
motorsport essentially too.

Jason (01:17:50):
So there were a lot of sadly, a lot of lessons to be
learned.
To be learned.
So I mean there's a bunch oflawsuits I'm reading here and
the the track owner, pete mac,uh, mac mahan, mac mahan, if I'm
saying this wrong, sorry.
He was willing to invest 1.5million in track upgrades.
That would include extendingits length from two miles to 5.5

(01:18:10):
miles.
In addition, 80 covered pitswould be built for the entrance,
plus bleachers for thespectators so that they wouldn't
be in the damn restricted zonethat you know, what a novel idea
.

Erick (01:18:24):
I know how about that?

Jason (01:18:26):
So you know, Mother Nature had other ideas, however.
The Palm Beach area sufferedthrough two months of
unprecedented rains, delayingthe start of any construction
work.
So finally, in November, youknow, the officials announced
that it would be abandoning ofthe 10 year contract to hold the
race because the rain and highwater table prevented them from

(01:18:48):
getting the track ready in time.
So, almost, almost done here,resurrection.
So you know, concessions tosafety were made, including the
moving of the warehouse straightonto a parallel road to keep
the cars further away from thebuilding.
Let's move over to 66 here.
Uh, before I continue, so youcan, guys, get that on this on

(01:19:12):
display, geez look at the change, drastic changes, yeah, man
like make the track with a rulerthey added 5.5 miles.
Dude, look at this.

Erick (01:19:24):
Yes, a long, risking your life.
After every turn, you were wideopen forever.

Jason (01:19:30):
Wide open throttle, wide open throttle.

Jeff (01:19:32):
Breaks and wide open.

Jason (01:19:35):
Yeah, so they eliminated the old Western Corner and
replaced it with the Green ParkChicane.
Where is this Green ParkChicane?
I see Green Park Boulevard, soI'm guessing that's what they
mean.
What year is this?
1966, still.

Erick (01:19:55):
Unless they added it in 67 or something, I don't know.

Jason (01:19:59):
It says, while nylon belting was designed to catch
Navy planes that might overshota carrier landing on a short
runway was installed along thenew warehouse straight the
tracks.
Insurance insurers alsoinsisted spectators be kept at
least 120 feet from the trackrather than the previous 75 feet

(01:20:22):
, while chain link fencing andarmco barriers were also so a
crap ton of safety features.
So we're going to skip ahead to1983.
As you can see, it's definitelychanged here.
There goes that warehouse, there goes that chicane.

(01:20:43):
It's just called chicane nowaccording to this website.
This is called chicane nowaccording to this website.
See, when the first of severalcourse changes marked a push to
reduce the circuit's impact onthe operations of the airport,
which we're seeing increasingflight traffic.
This would ultimately see theportions using the north and

(01:21:07):
south runway reduced and finallyeliminated.
Dang yeah dude.

Jeff (01:21:12):
They're still using the north and south runway, reduced
and finally, eliminated.

Erick (01:21:14):
Dang yeah, dude, they were still using the runway.

Jason (01:21:16):
Yeah, they were still flying planes.
That's crazy.
This is an airport dude.
In tandem came a generalupgrade of paddock facilities,
which saw the relocation of abackstretch in 1984.
Let's go to 84.

Erick (01:21:31):
Okay, they moved it down a little bit, I see.

Jason (01:21:34):
I see, right here, this bend, right here.

Erick (01:21:37):
Yeah, they dropped it, softened it up a little bit and
I guess dropped it down a littlebit.

Jason (01:21:42):
They smoothed it out.
The edges on there, yeah, itwas sharp, yeah.
So I kind of lost my positionhere.
This would ultimately see theposition.
Okay, I read that.
And then bigger changes came in87, just to summarize guys when
new sections were built forturn one and turn three,

(01:22:05):
eliminating much of the concreteapron, and the track was
rerouted away from North-Southrunway altogether, which a new
stretch of permanent road whichrejoined onto Almond Street.
So let's go to 87.
Wow, dude, what Dang.
Yeah, look at the changes onthis.

Jeff (01:22:26):
Wow, it's almost a mile shorter.

Erick (01:22:29):
Yeah, that's a whole different track.

Jason (01:22:32):
It looks like a bent spoon.
I don't know.
I see it.
I got you you got that.

Erick (01:22:37):
Yeah, a little Matrix vibes.

Jason (01:22:39):
Yeah, a little bit, huh A little bit.
So the track underwentownership changes in 1990.
Changes in 1990.
Firstly, it was acquired byScandia Racing boss, andy Evans,
who sold it to Don Panaz in 97.
So let's go to the 90s.
We're in the 90s, let's go to97.
Still changing, still yourspoon man, still a little spoon,

(01:23:04):
yeah, under Panza'sstewardship-.
It's getting smaller and smalleryeah, they were further they've
been shorter investment whichhas seen the construction of the
chateau, chateau, whateverellen hotel, overlooking the
hairpin.
Okay, in september 2012, let'sgo to 2012 should be this layout

(01:23:28):
they just added.
These are just differentlayouts for different events.
The Panaz Motorsport Group wassold to NASCAR, which thus
became the new owner of SebringRaceway.
The famous 12-hour continuespart of the NASCAR-sanctioned
United Sports Car Championship.
Part of NASCAR-sanctionedUnited Sports Car Championship,

(01:23:50):
while the track also holds theLegends of Motorsport and
Historic Sports Car RacingSeries and is the winner home of
the Skip Barber Racing School.
Many teams also continue to useSebring for winter testing due
to the harm climate.
So there's a little bit of moreinformation that's left for me

(01:24:12):
to cover, but I will not readthat.
I will show you and this one isthe one that's going to shock
Jeff Hope he's ready.
Send it.
So here we have a full laparound, or I should say a

(01:24:37):
qualifying, a record time for MrFernando Alonso.

Jeff (01:24:42):
Might have heard of him once or twice.

Jason (01:24:44):
That broke the record in 2019 and is still that record
holder.
Let's watch him.

Jeff (01:24:49):
Is he in a prototype?
Yeah, damn, look, he iscarrying the mail.
It's at night too, man Jeez,he's going to work.

(01:25:16):
He's driving that thing likehe's angry at it, bro.
You know, this is anotherreason why it's hard to not like
Alonzo.
The dude's just a gearhead, just loves to drive anything.
He's driving the shit out ofthis thing right now.
I'm telling you, man.

Jason (01:25:34):
This guy is wide open Like the whole time.

Jeff (01:25:42):
Oh, almost lost it.
Why are they qualifying atnight?

Erick (01:25:59):
There's like no lights on the track.

Jason (01:26:02):
Oh, they do have a little bit Ooh good, turning that
turns hard man.

Jeff (01:26:08):
There's no curb or nothing to tell you where you're going.
You can barely see.

Erick (01:26:24):
Wow oh yeah, jason, I remember you going around that
thing.

Jeff (01:26:33):
Dude, that's a hell of a video.

Jason (01:26:34):
So the man laps, the man clocks in Six kilometers in a
minute 40.124.
Let that sink in, he is flying.
Yeah four, let that sink in, heis flying.
Yeah, bro, that's my dude.
Alonzo man, that's your boy, that's my boy, alonzo.

(01:26:56):
So that's about it for track ofthe week.
That's Sebring for you.
It's kind of interesting.
It's had its ups and downs, youknow for sure.

Erick (01:27:23):
But we're seeing a trend here of World War Two being the
biggest influence so far, youknow thus far, not just in
Europe but in the United States.
I mean, it's some of thesefacilities that they use for war
.
Once the war is over, it's kindof like, hey, we laid all these
, you know all thisinfrastructure down here.
We might as well drive fast onit.

Jason (01:27:38):
You know well, we got a plenty of that in hawaii man,
but we ain't doing nothing.

Erick (01:27:44):
Hey, that's an opportunity right there man,
it's tough because there's not.

Jeff (01:27:48):
They're not making new tracks like that one that those
days are gone, right.
Let's tough because there's not.
They're not making new trackslike that one that those days
are gone, right.
Let's be honest, let's call aspade a spade, right?
Nobody wants a track, everybodywants tracks.
Nobody wants one in theirbackyard.
Yeah, so if it's around, we gotto keep it open because yep
well, let's look at the cost ofhow much that would cost.

Jason (01:28:08):
Nowadays, the way things are going, I don't even want to.

Jeff (01:28:14):
Insane amount of money I couldn't even give an educated
guess.

Jason (01:28:19):
That's probably why we're not seeing it, because there's
no guarantee that they're goingto do well and it's a lot of
money for you to put forward.
That's a hope and dream.
That's a hope and dream.

Jeff (01:28:29):
that's that's a hope and dream, you know on that, I saw
something, um, it came across myinstagram that, like this dude
in china has a track like in hisbackyard that him and his
buddies just raised.
That like world, I'll send youit's like world class of course
china world class uh uh track, but just a couple dudes driving

(01:28:49):
on it.

Jason (01:28:50):
All right, man, that's about it for this week.
Guys, I don't have anyroundtables, I don't have
anything to cover.
I think today was great.
I think the highlight today wasdefinitely the 3D printer,
which is still on my mind.
It's been on my mind the wholetime I was presenting, even

(01:29:14):
watching my boy, alonzo do histhing in 2019.
So really happy with this.
One Over to Eric or Jeff, whatever you guys got for this
week to close.

Erick (01:29:27):
I've got nothing, man, I'll be printing away.

Jeff (01:29:31):
I just got a quick one.
I just want to give uh one ofthe comments on the last video.
Chatter nine gave some tips.
I was talking about trophytruck driving and rallycross and
, uh, he gave a couple tips inthere.
Uh, chatter nine just wanted togive you, you know.
Hey, buddy, appreciate it.
Um, I'll be researching thequote unquote scandinavian flick
, or the Scandi, or the flickfor short.

(01:29:51):
So good, catch man.
Yeah, appreciate it, dude.
Yeah, he's like.
Basically I'll summarize he'slike hey, you don't really need
an e-brake to do all this stuff, you know, and honestly, it
becomes a hitch or a limp or acrutch, so learn to do it
without it.
Point taken, buddy, we'll startgrinding away.

(01:30:11):
When I come back from my tripI'll have a new gear shifter and
, yeah, hopefully I'll get sometime behind it.
So, cheers, buddy, appreciateit.
Yeah, all right, and drive fastand break even later.
Oh you didn't need to bereminded today.

Jason (01:30:27):
It was.
You know when you're about tosay something and you take that
initial.
You didn't see that though.
Another great episode, anotherone bites the dust.
Jeff, safe travels.

Erick (01:30:42):
Yes, bud Definitely.

Jason (01:30:44):
Eric, I hate you and I love you at the same time.
Happy printing.

Erick (01:30:48):
