The iRacing Season 3 update delivers what might be the most significant overhaul in the platform's history, and we're breaking down every exciting detail in this episode. When the update drops in just two weeks, sim racers will experience a completely transformed GT3 class with revolutionary tire physics that finally allow recovery after slides – no more ruined stints from a single mistake!

Our in-depth analysis covers the stunning new track addition of The Bend Motorsport Park in Australia with its massive 7.77km layout and seven different configurations. We explore the Ferrari 296 Challenge car coming to the service with its 700 horsepower and downforce capabilities that rival GT3 machines. The episode also highlights the comprehensive rescanning of numerous tracks including Sonoma, Charlotte, and North Wilkesboro, all provided as free updates to existing owners.

What has us particularly excited are the quality-of-life improvements, from the new IndyCar sounds (featuring what the developers call a "Chewbacca gurgle") to the preview of a completely redesigned UI and rendering engine. The foveated rendering support for VR users promises substantial performance gains, while the underlying physics changes will force everyone to rebuild their setups from scratch. As Eric celebrates his birthday and shows off his new aluminum extrusion monitor mount, we reflect on what makes iRacing's subscription model worth the investment – the constant evolution and refinement of a platform that prioritizes realism over sheer content quantity.

I'm coming up, I'm moving up the tadpole.
So, coming up the, I'm movingup the tadpole.
So so, how was your week, man?
How was I mean?
You obviously had a birthday.

Erick (01:32):
So I mean how was that?
I had a birthday.
It was.
It was actually great man.
We kind of celebrated most ofthe week.
My wife I was kind of trying todownplay it, you know, be low
key and stuff, you know tryingto do stuff for the fam and her
and stuff, and she was kind ofjust to downplay it, you know be
low key and stuff, you knowtrying to do stuff for the fam
and her and stuff, and she waskind of just on me like what do
you want to do?
What are you going to have?
You know, who do you want toinvite, and things like that.

(01:53):
And you know, almost kind offorced me to like take a little
bit of time and you know, justenjoy it.

Jeff (02:02):
So without the heat.

Jason (02:03):
Yeah, relax, chill, enjoy it.
That's good, bro, relax.

Erick (02:05):
Chill.
I was telling her I wasgenuinely happy and okay with
just relaxing and being happy.
Sometimes we kind of as guys,we don't like people doing a lot
of stuff for us, that's all ofus yeah.
This was a time where I was,you know, took a moment to

(02:27):
realize like she's trying to,you know, celebrate me and
appreciate me.
So just trying to beappreciative of that good stuff.

Jason (02:36):
That's great, man, that's awesome.
That's I mean the whole weektoo.
So yeah I mean you.
We usually expect the whole day, but the whole week is kind of
that's awesome, that's good,that's healthy.

Erick (02:49):
Yeah, yeah, it was great.

Jason (02:51):
All right, well, happy birthday and, jeff, how was your
week, man?

Jeff (02:55):
Dude.
Another one flew by.
I felt like just a couple ofdays ago we were doing this,
watching F1, and here we areagain.
Yeah, highlight of the week, though Highlight of the week
talking with you boys.

Jason (03:06):
F1 was amazing this week, by the way.
I I think I'm safe enough.
We're safe enough to talk about.
See, here's the thing.
F1 goes down.
I can't open social media.

Jeff (03:18):
I can't Especially living out in Hawaii where you're
sleeping.
No, bro living out in Hawaii, where you're sleeping while the
race is going on.

Jason (03:23):
The moment I opened social media, the amount of
memes of people crying withHamilton and all the oh it's
relentless.
They made a hell of a comeback,eric.
They did, they made it Ferrari.

Erick (03:36):
Yeah, I saw it.
Yeah, Nuts.

Jason (03:38):
Ferrari said put some respect on my name.
That's what they said, bro.
A hundred percent.
They're like oh, you want tolaugh at us on quality.

Erick (03:46):
Yeah, y'all thought shit was sweet Okay.

Jeff (03:49):
I'll tell you what, though , behind closed doors.
There's some sore people inthere.
I don't think I mean thisHamilton Leclerc thing.
It only gonna last for so long, because I think they're
starting to get some.
Oh yeah, it's very obvious andyou know they try to hide that

(04:10):
for the media and trying topretend like everything's all
right.
Oh, we're not a one and twodriver or two and one driver.
We're both our own driver, nahman, that's never like that.

Erick (04:16):
As soon as they Never.

Jason (04:17):
As soon as the race wrap.
One goes one way and the otherone goes the other way.

Erick (04:21):
I don't know you, you don't know me.

Jason (04:24):
I'll see you in Monaco.
I'll see you in Monaco.

Erick (04:28):
Yeah, see you on the track, man Hell yeah.

Jason (04:32):
All right, guys.
So that's awesome, it's alwaysa good.
Well, we're the triple header,so that's Monaco's next and I
forget the next one after.
Jeff probably could tell me,but somewhere in Europe it's the
next race after.
Okay, Somewhere in Europe.
Um, I'll roll into someannouncements.
I don't really have anythingthis week, so I'm going to push

(04:55):
this over to Jeff, because Erichas something big for us and uh
want to share that here withsome love.
But, Jeff, how you got anythingfor us?

Jeff (05:03):
Ah, just a quick one.
Yeah, I did a bunch, a bunch,uh, bunch of racing uh f4 this
week and I survived all myracing.
Uh, pretty clean it was, whichwas awesome.
Uh.
I drove road of america uh, forthe first time, cool track,
super nice little flow to it uhhigh speed track, not much slow
stuff, maybe one hairpin, uh,which is, you know, surprising

(05:25):
for formula that you're hot,that a high-speed track and it's
pretty clean.
Great Drayson, I finished up myrig.
I've been kind of talking thelast month or so about some
things I've been doing in my rig.
I'll get into it here in mydiscussion point.
But yeah, good week all aroundracing-wise, family-wise.
So yeah, ready to get intotoday's discussion.
Awesome man, hell yeah that.

(05:45):
All around racing wise, familywise.
So yeah, ready to get intoday's discussion?
Awesome man, hell yeah, that'swhat's up that's a great track.

Jason (05:48):
Man don't don't sleep on road atlanta, both road america,
both of them.
They're awesome, bro, highspeed.
I think p1 cars drive on there,imagine.
So f1, peak p um, p1 cars too.
So all right, man, that'swhat's up, eric, what you got
for us, what has been cookingover there?

Erick (06:06):
You just had a birthday.
I noticed you know what I'msaying, like I said, the whole
week has been great from startto finish.
I don't think I paid for anymeals all week.
Everybody was nice to me.
Then I got another homeboy whostays around the corner.
His birthday is two days aftermine, so we did like joint

(06:26):
celebrations and stuff.
Top golf Saturday.
Um.
One of the things I am excitedfor, though, is I finally got an
official uh aluminum extrusionmonitor mount, so part of the
club.

Jeff (06:41):
Let's go.

Erick (06:42):
Um, if you guys don't know, I't know, I wish I had
pics of the old setup.
Yeah, what?

Jason (06:47):
was it on.
You had me convinced, bro, thatyou had that the whole time.
I don't know, I don't know whatyou're talking about.

Jeff (06:54):
I thought so too.

Erick (06:55):
Yeah, so I managed to kind of cobble it together out
of the wooden rig.
I still had the monitor on thewooden piece.

Jason (07:03):
Bro, you fooled me, I swear.

Erick (07:06):
That's why it took so long for me to go ahead and get
one, and it really wasn't untilI got the ambient lights that I
was like I can't fake the funkanymore.
I got to get the real dealBecause I got so much stuff on
the mount to it.
So let me share with you guys.

Jason (07:21):
Let's go, let's see it bro.
Just kind of what it bro, spillit, spill it straight, no chase
.

Jeff (07:27):
it was good to see because we got some messages in the
group text about some otherpeople having a hard time with
the ups guy and delivery guysdude, this dude, it was good it
made me feel good because allthe time I gave fernando bro it
was.
It was good to see somebodyelse having some struggles.

Jason (07:45):
I feel bad for you If you live close by bro, if you got a
driver named Fernando you canforget about it.
You can forget about it.
It's coming at eight o'clock atnight.

Erick (07:55):
Say Fernando, ain't never on time man.

Jason (07:56):
Yeah, fernando, rolling up at eight o'clock like he's
been out there the guy just offthe beach.

Jeff (08:00):
Busting his butt Come on, man, I know it's tough.

Erick (08:08):
This is kind of just one view of it, but the mount that I
got it was the TK Racingmonitor mount.
It's actually a joint venturebetween SimLab and TK Racing and
Micro Center.
Simlab builds it, TK Racing andMicro Center.
So Sim Lab builds it, TK Racingthey kind of lend their brand

(08:28):
to it and Micro Center is wherethe brand is sold at.
So it's basically Sim Lab parts, if you will.
It's 80-20.
And kind of the way I have itset up is normally these.
Let me see if I can show youguys.
Can you guys see?
Not yet, oh, so I'm justtalking to myself.

(08:49):
That's cool.

Jason (08:52):
I was letting you roll with it, yeah.

Erick (08:55):
No, so I was just trying to share this.
What are you seeing?
Share this guy here if it'llwork.
If not, jason, I'll just sendyou the pics afterwards.
But essentially it looks like anormal rig.
I mean normal mount.
You know, you have the uh, twoverticals, got the feet.
But the way that they did it bydefault, they had the vertical

(09:17):
pieces kind of wide and then youmount the bar in between them.
And a guy on youtube he waslike yeah, this mount is 80 20,
so it has the ability to bestrong, but the way that they
send it to you by default isit's just not the best way.
So he's like like an engineeror something like that and he's
like you just take those piecesand he just like rotates them

(09:38):
and attach them a different wayand he's like they're rock solid
, like.
So I was like this is cool.
It was like I think I paid like150 160 bucks for him.
Shipping was like 25 bucks, soI'm like that's a, that's a
steal, and like it's 80 20, soonce you mount whatever you're
gonna mount to it is is there umlegos?

Jeff (10:00):
man legos Rob.

Jason (10:01):
Markman, he's.

Erick (10:01):
Legos.

Jason (10:02):
Man Legos Rob Markman.
He's got rails.

Erick (10:04):
Rob Markman Got the rails and the other piece.
It's deceptive.
I see you guys with your standsand I know you guys talk about
the pain of hanging triples onthem.
So I only have my one monitorright.
So I'm like, oh yeah, I justget this knocked out.
Rob Markman, welcome to my lane, rob Markman.

Jeff (10:21):
No, sir, rob sir.

Erick (10:22):
One of those nights I was saying I stayed up till like
two, three in the morning, missed with this thing, man
Trying to get it all together.

Jason (10:29):
Especially when you're by yourself dude.

Erick (10:32):
Yeah.

Jason (10:33):
You trying to hang three screens, bro?
That's no joke, that's heavy.

Erick (10:39):
I couldn't imagine that Just hanging this one was off
and on.
No, we would have to do it.

Jason (10:43):
I mean, I'll tell you I had to tighten one and run to
the other side.
Take my leveler, make sure it'slevel.
Nope, it's not level.
Tighten it, it's too high.
All right, Three, four hours.

Jeff (10:57):
I think it's easy to do it good or okay, if you want it
precise Boy you could never stop.
You could be there forever yep, that's.

Erick (11:08):
That's kind of my problem , because like I got an lg
monitor and it sits.
I got it sitting kind of rightabove my sim magic hub and so
the sim magic logo and the lglogo are like right above each
other, and so I'm like trying toget everything perfect and
centered and I put the level onit and it's like, oh, it's a
little See.

Jeff (11:26):
And then you take directional measurements,
directions, and it's like off bya half inch one way and you got
to start over again.

Erick (11:34):
And it never ends man.

Jason (11:35):
No, yeah.
And then you add triple screensright, and then, if you didn't
get it right the first time, whenever you put those there's
always three, 400 times later.
What is it?
The little the.

Jeff (11:50):
Bezalmo.

Jason (11:51):
The Bezal.
Yeah, the Bezal is good oh yeah, the Bezal is-.
It will never line up, nomatter what you do so.
Make sure that the monitors areabsolutely perfect before you
slap something on there, andeven when you do, it's not going
to cooperate.
Dude, you know the best adviceI can give everybody that has

(12:12):
triples not necessarily for you, eric, but triple monitors when
you find that angle, lock downthat screw.
Don't try and be fancy and usethe second monitor as a door,
because you're going to mess itall up and it's better to just
literally torque it down so thatway they don't move.

(12:33):
And that has helped with mewith my bezel-less kit.

Jeff (12:39):
Eric, send us a video that group check.
I'd love to see you in action.

Erick (12:44):
Yeah, Drop some pics and video to see what it was
supposed to look like and what Iended up doing.

Jason (12:50):
Well, you all guys will know.

Erick (12:53):
You'll see it already.

Jason (12:55):
It'll kind of happen.

Jeff (12:56):
The magic.

Jason (12:58):
The magic.
Yeah, I forget Wayne's World.
Remember Wayne's World.
Yeah, age of myself, anyway, wayne's World yeah.

Erick (13:06):
Just a little bit.

Jason (13:07):
All right, well, and we'll post a link in the
description below if you guysare interested in picking that
up.
I think it's via Micro Center.
I think that's what Eric hadtold us before.
So congratulations.
Now you know how solid thisthing is.
I remember you mentioning youcouldn't believe how solid it
was and I said, bro, 80 20, Iwill trust my life with 80 20.

Erick (13:30):
I hang on to it, it won't break yeah, if something falls
off of this thing, it's becauseI didn't bolt it down tight
enough, because are you damagingthe floor?

Jason (13:38):
yeah, that's what the 80 20 is gonna be fine.
It's gonna be like I don't know.
I don't know what you're doing.
Yeah, floor's going to get it.
Yeah.

Erick (13:48):
Poor carpet.
I feel bad for it.

Jason (13:51):
Well, that's a hell of a week, guys.
A hell of a week.
I don't really have much, as Isaid before, so we're going to
go right into the maindiscussion.
Today, track of the Week isback.
Eric has it.
But for the first topic of theday is probably one of my
favorites and it happens everyquarter, right?
So it's our iRacing developerupdate to see what's new with

(14:17):
the sim.
So I will share my screen andwe're going to go over this line
by line, check it all out and Iwant to hear your thoughts.
Leave your thoughts in thecomments below.
So here we go.

Jeff (14:34):
Ir racing, season three is upon us, season three of 2025
how is it season three?
We just got we just we juststarted 2025

Jason (14:41):
and it's week like 10.
Yeah, it's almost over, yeah,so, guys, get your wallets ready
, because this one's GT3 heavy.

Jeff (14:51):
I like it.
When do we get the F1, F4 heavy?

Jason (14:54):
Well, there's some Formula ones here.
There's some Formula ones.

Jeff (14:57):
That's some Indy, right, yeah?
Anyways, let's go.

Jason (14:59):
Formula.
You know we're going to skipthis here.
This is a message to the, justa message to iRacing, but we
want to get into the meat andpotatoes here.
So new tracks is what I want togo over.
Or let me see something righthere.
It says, starting things offour season, three tracks will
include three main categories ofreleases One, all new, two,

(15:23):
rescan and remodel.
So that's what we're going togo over.
We're going to go over therescans, the new ones, remodels
and refreshed and upgraded.
Note that category two andthree will list more tracks than
we'll have ultimately.
Okay, let's get into it.
So here is the Bend and we'regoing back to the land down
under.
And we're going back to theland down under shell shelby

(15:49):
power motorsport park, alsoknown as the ben.
Check this out.
Look at this picture, man, andthen look at this one right here
.
Look at this, look at thedetail that they're going in
jason.

Jeff (15:57):
You know what would be super cool.
I don't think I racing has anactual youtube page, but if they
one together, this is the storyof how they go from having no
track to putting it on the gameof like how they do their drone
stuff and then whatever softwarethey're using there and
whatever the process is.
I understand it's probablyproprietary a little bit, but it
would be super cool to see howthey become with a real track to

(16:20):
the actual game.

Jason (16:21):
But I'm not going to have'm on the show man it'd be
super cool.
That will try if anybody knowssomeone from iRacing, please
email the show please yeah, because have they ever been?

Erick (16:32):
have they ever been interviewed anything like that
on the podcast before?

Jason (16:35):
I don't hear much about them no so I happen to know
where they're headquartered atwe're gonna raid the
headquarters camp out thereuntil we see somebody hey can
you give us?
20 minutes, so anyway, so-.

Erick (16:50):
Hold this mic.

Jason (16:51):
The Bend.
Right, this is the Bend thetrack.
It's located in South Australia, just 100 or so kilometers
southeast of Adelaide, if I saidthat right.
The Bend hosts, or hosts, numerous national and
international racing series,including Supercar Championships
, gt World Challenge Australia, tcr Australia, australian

(17:15):
Superbikes and EndurancePrototypes.
The design of the band wasinspired by many of the world's
greatest racing circuits, so wemight take this and make this of
a track of a week man.
We might want to get a littlemore oomph out of this.
Um, it offers races a greatcombination of technical
sections and fast flowingcorners.

(17:36):
The track has surprising amountof elevation change and helps
uh helps keep the racingexciting right.
So the Bend is a huge facilityand the iRacing implementation
will feature sevenconfigurations, guys, seven,
seven racing configurations, including the full 7.77

(17:58):
kilometers for the GT circuitDang that's a track Bro.
Yeah, they rolling.
Yeah, this is the miniNürburgring almost, which is the
second longest permanentracetrack in the world.

Erick (18:11):
Okay, so here we go.

Jason (18:13):
So that's going to be the new track, which is an
automatic purchase for yourstruly.
I tell you, I'm already likingwhat I'm seeing here.
This looks crazy, bro.
It looks insane.

Jeff (18:24):
That's a lot to memorize, huh.

Jason (18:25):
Yeah.
Yeah, I know what direction doyou think we're going in?
Do you think we're going inthis direction or we're going up
this way?

Jeff (18:33):
I think that way.

Jason (18:34):
This way.
Okay, I don't know, is there?

Jeff (18:36):
a pit lane.

Jason (18:37):
No, this is the pit lane down here, isn't it?
Well, right, you can put oneither side.
Maybe this is true, very true, and it has anyway.
We'll figure that out, we'll,we'll get the details down.
Um nice sand traps here, kindof cool yeah, some safety.
It's nice to hear on thesetracks oh yeah, I wonder why we

(18:58):
might do a.
We might do a special on whythey have those.
There might be interesting.
So see the rescan and remodeltracks.
I love this is my favorite part.
We already paid for the content, they don't have to update it.
But here they are scanning andremodeling everything and making
it more realistic, right?
So it says here that, um, theour rescan and remodel tracks

(19:23):
are tracks that already exist onthe service but have since been
repaved and changedsignificantly in the real world.
These changes warrant an updatein iRacing and each track
listed has been rescan, with thedifferent surfaces fully
remodeled from scratch.
Additionally, all artwork, suchas buildings, catch fencing,

(19:45):
scenery, terrain, trees and more, have been recreated using our
latest techniques and qualitystandards.
So here they are.
Let me see.
Every track in this category isoffered as a free update.
Okay, good to know.
Iowa Speedway.
So they did some repaving inthe turns.

(20:05):
Right, it was performed in theturns which our team has
captured and recreated.
This change transforms thedriving experience at Iowa.
Richmond Raceway was re-scanned, although not due to a repave.
The same real-world pavementexists now as its original.

(20:25):
However, the facility had gonea great deal of infrastructure
changes and we had anopportunity to improve the
circuit.
We ultimately remodeledeverything, including the
driving surface.
Nice Sonoma Raceway this projecttook multiple trips across the
country to complete, as our scanteam navigated a dynamic repave

(20:48):
project that required multiplere-scans.
So they're excited to updateSonoma, which is one of the
first great North American roadcircuits on the iRacing service.
It's also artistically one ofthe oldest tracks on iRacing and
long overdue, right.

(21:09):
So they say.
It looks amazing, has a vastrolling hills and drone captured
terrain fully recreated withour five layer terrain shader
and modern art techniques.
So the next one is WorldTechnology Raceway Gateway.
So WWT Worldwide Tech Racewaywas repaved several years ago in

(21:32):
preparation for IndyCar'sreturn to the circuit.
And speaking of IndyCar, jeff, what's going down this week,
brother, with IndyCar?

Jeff (21:41):
I hear there's a fairly big race with the open wheel
IndyCar racing.

Jason (21:45):
Yeah, they might be racing Indy 500 is this weekend.
There you go, make sure youguys catch it have a little race
.
Well, honestly, you guys won'thear this until the Monday after
, so I hope it wasn't a race.

Jeff (21:57):
Oh, I guess that's right, yeah, it was a good race.

Jason (22:00):
So back to wwt track, right.
So the.
The track currently featuresnascar indycar and a variety of
racing across its roadconfigurations that are updated
track surface will initiallyokay, only.
So.
Initially it only feature thethe oval.
So nascar, uh.
Charlotte motor speedway I'mexcited about this one.

(22:22):
We have worked closely with umSpeedway Motorsports SMI for
several years to prototype andtest changes planned for the
real world circuit.
This work was significant, wasa significant factor in 2018.
Redesign of the Roval andsubsequent iterations we have
re-scanned Charlotte toincorporate this and last year's

(22:46):
changes and updated the driversurfaces to reflect these
changes.
And finally, the NorthWilkesboro Speedway we will soon
debut our first modern versionof the North Wilkesboro if I'm
saying that right Speedway.
This has been a fun project toreturn to and we are thrilled to

(23:09):
have the opportunity to do so.
For those who don't know thebackstory, okay, read here.
So there's a link here.
You guys can go and check thatout.
But essentially, we used thatscan, they used a scan here.
Let me just click on it, let mesee what that does.
So they used this, use thatscan.
They used a scan here.
Let me just click on it, let mesee what that does.
So they use this right here.
Oh, this is a whole new storyhere with this, so you guys can

(23:33):
check that out.
Check those pictures out andwe'll go back to.
Yeah, I know it looked kind ofragged, kind of beat up in there
, man, I don't know.
We used that to scan to createa historic 1987 version of the
track, which debuted on theiRacing platform.
A few years later, and thanksin part to this project, north

(23:53):
Wilkesboro was renovated andrepaired in the real world and
then added to NASCAR's schedule.
Wow, yeah, so look how nice itlooks.
Now, bro, look at this.
Tell me, that doesn't looklegit, is?

Jeff (24:07):
that Charlotte, though, isn't it Charlotte?
Is it?
I don't know?
I know Charlotte's a shorttrack and that looks like a
short track, but anyways, neither here nor there Somebody
in the comments can tell us.

Jason (24:17):
Well, if anyone knows the answer to that, leave it in the
comments below.

Jeff (24:22):
I think Charlotte was where that dude did that
maneuver, where he just hammeredit and rode the wall all the
way around.

Jason (24:29):
Oh man, it might be dude.
I'm trying to see if I seeanything.

Jeff (24:35):
I wish I had a, yeah anyway, cool looking, graphic,
right.

Jason (24:39):
That's the point.
Here's the updated tracks uh,refreshing, upgraded.
So here's the thing, guys, withthese tracks right, being
upgraded.
There's no other sim doing this, like I don't.
No other title, gt7 or a set ofwell set.
Oforsa is an exception becauseyou have mods, but they don't
have drones or the technologythat these guys are putting out.

(25:02):
They don't really have the-.

Jeff (25:04):
The means.

Jason (25:05):
Yeah, they don't.
They're doing it based off ofpure visual right, or they'll
see a video of the track and tryto mimic it, but these guys are
literally scanning the trackfrom many different angles.
It says our refreshed andupgraded tracks are a category
of update.

(25:25):
That we have okay.

Jeff (25:26):
So this is the category oh , I see some tracks in there.

Jason (25:30):
Yes, sir, these are not rescans, but they are nearly
complete buildss where we haverecreated all artwork using
current tooling and qualitystandards.
Examples of refresh includeOkayama, which is a great road,
atlanta, it's another favorite.
And most recently, in seasonone and season two, we refreshed

(25:50):
New Hampshire, bristol,darlington, dover, homestead,
kansas and Las Vegas.

Jeff (25:57):
And NASCAR tracks.

Jason (25:59):
Dude, awesome.
We have been working on theremainder of the NASCAR calendar
.
Just finish up, NASCAR man.
Let's go to F1.
Let's go to GT.
Nascar getting all the loveright now.
So they're saying that theseguys.

Jeff (26:12):
We got some coming down the pipe.

Jason (26:13):
Yeah, yeah.

Jeff (26:14):
That Circuit of America there in the next paragraph.

Jason (26:17):
Yeah, yeah, circuit of America there in the next
paragraph.
Yeah, so these tracks mentionedbefore will release next season
, so maybe end of summersometime like that.
Examples of a refreshed trackcurrently in the works include
Circuit of the Americas, coda, darlington, daytona and the
Annapolis, lime Rock Park, phoenix, texas and more.

Jeff (26:40):
I think this is part of their big kick, because they
were saying that they hadn'tupdated.
This is Lime.

Jason (26:42):
Rock.
This is Lime Rock, bro.
Look at that.
Look at the grass.

Erick (26:45):
That looks a lot better.

Jason (26:47):
Yeah, it looks way better .
That track is old in the game.
So, all right, skipping overthe tracks.
I think we've.
Oh no, I have to read thisBefore moving on to cars.
I owe a big shout-out kudos toHardworking Okay, the production
team from scanning andphotography.
Let me just skim through this.
These teams have brailedtogether, okay.

(27:09):
So they're just talking, they're just thanking each other
and they're talking about moretracks coming and all the hard
work they put in.
So here's the meat and potatoes.
Right, here is the cars.
It's going to feature three allnew race cars as well as a
comprehensive, comprehensivephysics model overhaul to three

(27:29):
existing classes.
Season three is absolutelystacked and we are so excited to
share these with you.
Let's start with the new.
With the new race cars we arethrilled to offer, visually
stunning and thrilling to drive.
Ferrari 296 Challenge.
The 296 Challenge is one of thefastest single make series
customer racing cars, weighingjust 1,495 kilograms, ready to

(27:56):
race with 700 horsepower and 870kilograms of downforce At 250
kilometers per hour nearlythree-fourths that of a GT3
class car.
This is a potent machinecapable of outrunning GT3 cars
while providing a unique andexciting GT racing experience.

(28:20):
That's scary.
Reimagined aerodynamics with afocus on reducing pitch
sensitivity.
An f1 derived seven geargearbox, full, uh, full.

(28:43):
Four-wheel brake, bi-wiresystem with advanced electronic
brake distribution, abscapabilities, all new, enormous
408 millimeter carbon ceramicbrake damn the size of those
brakes.
Oh yeah, comprehensivetwo-stage driver adjust uh,
adjustable traction control uh,electronically controlled

(29:05):
differential first or, excuse me, fast ratio electronic power
steering and bespoke tires.
So it's going to be, uh, it's.
This is a genuine and unique car.
It's with close to zero partscrossover between it and the gt3
.
So, because we already have a296, so this is the new

(29:28):
challenge.
The sound of the 296 isphenomenal and a good example of
the death that a binauralformat can achieve.
The format has the depth tomake a solid sounding onboard,
along with great backfire, turboand BOP sounds.
The Ferrari 296 Challenge willbe raced in our Ferrari 296

(29:53):
Challenge Series, so it'll havehis own series, nice, which will
be retooled to feature this carrather than the 296 GT3 car.
So they're replacing it.
This series is raced at aD-level, so it's going to be, oh
my God.
It's going to be chaotic inthere Want to have a live coach
available on demand.
With Trophy AI, you'll be ableto practice with Mansell AI at

(30:15):
your convenience A real.
With trophy ai, you'll be ableto practice with manso ai at
your convenience a real-timecoach in your headphones to
navigate and guide you throughthe track, helping you achieve
race pace.
This tool is awesome as itprovides full brake, throttle
and steering telemetry on screen, with the live review getting
you ready for your next big race.
Check links to trophy ai in thedescription and also use

(30:35):
chicane 1212 in all caps for a12% discount.
And now for something completelydifferent.
We're happy to share thatpreviously announced Gen 4 Cup
car project has been completedand is ready for release.
In all, we will be releasingtwo car packs, so the 2003
Chevrolet Monte Carlo and the2003 Ford Taurus.

Jeff (31:01):
These are like NASCARs NASCAR, older cars.

Jason (31:05):
Yeah, each car package will include two distinct car
bodies the stock car, speedwaystock car.
So you're correct, jeff, duringthis era of cup racing, the
bodies were dramaticallydifferent.
Okay, let me skip through this.
So we're going to get those twocars, the required, while we

(31:26):
require.
Well, excuse me, while wealready have many cars on track,
specific variants, the 2003variants are so unique that we
could not use a single painttemplate, so you're going to
have an option.
This required engineering UIsupport was more work than one
might imagine.
The end result was worth it andit pushed us to improve

(31:48):
functionality in how we presentsimilar cars and the UI.
So, going forward, painterswill be able to select specific
track type.
They'd like to view our UIpaint kit, so here it is.

Jeff (32:02):
Let's be honest, gentlemen Nobody uses this paint process.

Jason (32:07):
No, Only for the rims.

Jeff (32:09):
Let's call a spade a spade , here Only for the rims If
you're not using trade-in paint.
That's it.
And the rims yeah.
If you're not using trade-inpaint, go get trade and paint.
That's it.
And the rims yeah, if you'renot using trade and paint.

Erick (32:16):
go get trade and paint what?

Jason (32:17):
you doing.
Check out the top shot to NeilSeverin.
It'll make you a nice skin andit's not using this, I promise
you.
So there's the example the Gen4 Cup cars will be racing, our
Gen 4 Cup series taking place ofthe current Gen 4 car, so this
series is rated at a c level, while that covers our new cars.

(32:39):
We're only getting started.
Oh my god, this is gonna be along one, guys.
This is a hell of an update yeah, so this is the delara ira team
with an updated tire model, updated aero model, updated 3d
model, updated audio and newsteering wheel.
Uh, wow, dude, I'm telling youit's a work in progress for the
steering wheel, but this is thenew steering wheel.
Uh wow, dude, I'm telling youit's a work in progress for the
steering wheel, but this is thenew steering wheel.

Jeff (32:59):
Cosworth dude, that's way nicer than the normal.
Like the in the f4, when youdrive in vr it is impossible to
see the rev light.
That's my biggest gripe is it'sjust impossible to see where
you are.
If you're, you know forshifting and stuff, it just
doesn't stand out.

Jason (33:14):
Oh yeah this is like that's a beautiful one if you're
in vr rightman so indycar is one of our
closest and most long-standingpartners.
We are thrilled to offer acomprehensive update to the r18
that brings it to spec with the2025 real world iteration.
This project was completed incollaboration with the lara

(33:35):
IndyCar and Real World IndyCarDrivers.
Together, we have rebuilt thephysics of our latest tools,
processes and quality standards.
The improved systems includethe fundamental tire itself, as
I mentioned before right, theaero model and the addition of a
wet tire.
Additional details and changesinclude setup range limits have

(33:55):
been more accurately tailored toeach track type.
Barge board options have beenadded to both the road course
and short oval configurations,as well as a large oval
configuration.
All tire types have beenupdated, resulting in
improvements to driving feel andfeedback and more accurate tire
conditioning.
I mean, this is insane, guys.

(34:18):
Overall, the changes willresult in a positive change for
realism.
That remains to be seen.
One detail we have deferred tothe future is a new hybrid
system.
This system debuted midwaythrough the 2024 season, with
2025 being the full first yearin competition.

(34:39):
We are taking our time to makesure okay, they get it right.
The R18 also has been updatedvisually to match the current
year, including an all-newCosworth steering wheel and the
road course-specific aero screen.
Additionally, we sent our soundteam on the road to capture the
vehicle using our latest andgreatest hardware and techniques

(35:01):
, and our new sound model isphenomenal.
You can now hear nuancedelements of the powertrain and
the engine makes a cool anti-lagsound which, in the words of
our sound designer, Ozzy Gregg, sounds like a Chewbacca gurgle.
This happens mostly withpartial throttle through between

(35:26):
6,000 and 8,000 RPM, andextremely audible of the exhaust
.
So let's have a listen, guys.

Jeff (35:32):
Jason, I think that this is where iRacing has the biggest
room to make.
I think ACC's audio of the carsis fantastic.
I really think iRacing isknocking it out of the park here
upgrading their audio.

Jason (35:47):
The audio on ACC is untouched.
I'm sorry for our iRacing fans, but there's no comparison at
all.
Even the gain on acc is allowed.
I have to turn my game downbecause that thing, especially
the porsche bro, that thingliterally screams at you I mean
it's like a visceral sound asthat car is getting, you know,
rung out.
You put it in sixth gear, broshe, because she's singing

(36:10):
though.
Oh wait, it's awesome.

Erick (36:12):
Yeah, this is this is awesome by racing to to upgrade
this yeah this might sound alittle cliche, but it's like you
actually sound fast in ACC.

Jeff (36:21):
Yeah, there you go.
Look at the size of that deadcat on that thing.

Jason (36:24):
Just imagine your neighbor and hearing the sound
of what the hell is going on inhis house.
But here's our friend herehooking up all the equipment.
There's the dead cat, which ismassive for wind.
Let's have a listen.

(36:46):
Chewbacca yeah, oh, yeah, ohdown.

Jeff (36:55):
Oh, the growl Yo let's go.

Erick (37:01):
I'm ready to hop in.

Jason (37:05):
All right, let's get it in the car now.
Oh man, it's giving megoosebumps.

Erick (37:10):
Yeah.

Jason (37:11):
I'm ready to hop in let's go.
All right.
So our Gen 7 NASCAR Cup car hasalso undergone a significant
overhaul.
It features our latest releaseready tire first debuted on GTP
and the GTP tire was terrible, but then they fixed it and

(37:32):
improved aerodynamics that bringthe car closer to how teams now
have the cars operating.
Teams have made performanceadvancements over the last few
years and we have integratedsimilar increases in performance
.
The updated tire is asignificant change that will
refine many characteristics ofthe tire, including conditioning

(37:56):
, limit feedback and sliderecovery over the limit.
Finally, we will introduce anew Gen 7 specific CFD-paced
drafting model that will bringthe driving dynamics and traffic
closer to how the real carsbehave.
This work was done inpartnership with NASCAR and has
taken the realism of these carsto the next.

(38:18):
I mean, how is the new NASCARgame going to compete against
this?

Erick (38:21):
there's no way there's no way they're going to target
console and that's it, yeahthey're going to drop a day, one
patch and call it a day.

Jason (38:32):
They're going to let it die.
Alright, I'm almost.
I'm almost done here.
Guys, let me just wrap this up.
Um, our most significantproject this season was a
whopper that spanned six monthsof intense development, a
comprehensive redevelopment ofour entire excuse me, entire

(38:55):
entire GT3 race car class.
I'm going to be pretty detailedhere, so bear with me, and bear
with me also Whether you're aGT3 fan or not.
These details are well worth aread.
Okay, here we go, starting withthe tires.
We have developed new dry andwet tires.
Both use iRacing's newest tirephysics right.

(39:16):
The model tire model Firstdebut with the GTP Okay.
To develop the GT3 specificmodel, we utilize customized
software and tooling to simulatea vast set of tire
constructions and models atfaster than real time speeds.
These models were thenthoroughly tested and iterated

(39:38):
by our vehicle dynamicists anddriving specialists in
collaboration with externalprofessional drivers who race
the same cars in real life.
Many things have been improved, culminating in tires that
behave more like those in thereal world.
I can't wait.
Additionally, we haveoverhauled the aerodynamics of
the majority of the cars in GT3class using computational fluids

(40:02):
dynamics, cfd modeling.
We have updated ride heightmaps, yaw and roll sensitivities
and the effect of changing rearwing settings.
After tires, aerodynamics hasthe greatest impact on an in-car
experience, so we put a lot ofeffort into capturing both
aerodynamic performance andnuances that impact subjective

(40:23):
feel.
So here we go.
Here's a detailed list ofhighlights.
One of the most important goalsin tire development was to
reduce the tire surfacetemperature spikes thank God, to
a reasonable level.
Temperature spikes thank God,to a reasonable level.
This reduced sensitivity tosliding is a significant step
forward in our modeling, resulting in tires that are more
resilient to short-term slidingand have better post-slip

(40:48):
recovery.
So you know how you overheatthe tire in iRacing and when she
goes, she's gone.
There's no recovering.
It's really hard to recoverthese cars.
So this is a massive change.
Critically, a spinoff oroff-track event no longer
destroys a tire.
There, I just said, it Grip forthe rest of the run, which is

(41:08):
awesome.
Right, the temperature of thetire when the cars leave the
pits have been lowered and isnow closer to the tire.
Sitting in the hot sun.
Outlaps will require extrapatience.
Ah, so a little more pushy, pushy outlap that's good, that's
realistic yeah the fastest lapon a set of new tires will be
around the fourth or fifth timelap, depending on track length,

(41:32):
so you're gonna need four orfive laps to get these up to
temp.
That's awesome.
What's?

Jeff (41:39):
quality.
Look like huh.

Jason (41:41):
This is going to change Because you're pushing in
quality.
Yeah, yeah, this is going tochange the league, because we
usually do one out lap and twohot laps, but because we need
time to get this tire up to temp, that might change.
Yeah, that too Right.
So weather conditions anddriving aggression, late in a
fuel stint, it is possible toabuse the tires and suffer more

(42:04):
lap time degradation.
It is also possible to conservetires, thank God, look at this.
Conserve tires and have achance to push for fast laps
late in the stint when the fuellevel is low, except to change
tires each time a full tank isadded.
So that's awesome.
So you can kind of like reallife, right?
You save the tires and at theend you hammer down car's

(42:26):
lighter.
So you're going to get faster, right?
The tire spring rates are nowcloser to those currently used
in real life.
Compared to the current tires, the vertical rate is softer and
the lateral stiffness is higher.
This means that the chassiswill deflect more on their
vertical, aerodynamic andbanking load.

(42:46):
Wow, dude, the changes here.
To assist with dynamic rideheight control on these more
complicated tires, we have addedbump rubbers and the ability to
adjust their static gaps tocars that did not previously
have this garage setup option.
The updated aerodynamics havedifferent sweet spots in ride

(43:10):
height from what you are used toSome setups.
Work will be needed to ensureyou're extracting the maximum
from each car's aerodynamicplatform.
You may notice that the carshave different.
They're different in small andlarge slides.
This is partly due to theupdated aerodynamic yaw modeling

(43:32):
.
Different side view body shapesprovide varying degrees of
stabilizing side force.
Uh, you know, different likesimilarly different complete
aerodynamic packages performbetter and worse when it comes
down to downforce, and this isgoing to throw off all the
setups.
Right, this, right here.

(43:52):
All, all, all esports setupsare going to have to get redone.
Our updated aerodynamic modeldoes a better job of capturing
this nuance.
Okay, another step closer toreality.
In addition to a front splitterheight as a determining factor
in passing technical inspection, that's another thing.

(44:13):
So when you set up cars iniRacing, it goes through a check
.
No other sim does this.

Jeff (44:23):
You can literally I have a gripe with it, though when you
fail, it doesn't tell you whyyou failed and it can take you
some troubleshooting it flashesred.
Take a look, Jeff.
Really It'll say failed, butwill it tell you why it failed?
No, it won't tell you.

Jason (44:40):
Yes.

Jeff (44:41):
Yeah, it should say you know, front diffuser too low,
you know.

Jason (44:45):
I know, with ride height it flashes it goes red and
yellow and then you turn it down.
But yeah, dude, or if you tryto use another setup on a
different track, it'll fail.

Jeff (44:56):
Yeah, because yeah, dude, or if you try to use another
setup on a different track,it'll fail.
Yeah, because, depending onwith the setup that you're
loading, I haven't changed it ina while yet, so maybe it does
flash, but previously it justwould say fail.
It would just fail.
I don't know why?

Jason (45:06):
Yeah, the front splitter at the lowest point, front ride
height at an axle send line andrear ride height must all be
above 50 millimeters.
Most cars will need to runhigher ride heights.
Current setups will becomeobsolete.

(45:27):
Like I just said, save a recordof ride heights and rake that
work with specific rear wingangles to use as a starting
point for 2025 season threesetups, or use the iRacing
recommendations, which they'renot that good to you now.
The BLP the balance ofperformance that's what BLP is
for this season does not includeany changes to mass or engine.

(45:49):
Thank God, leave the enginesalone in mass.
Only aerodynamic downforce anddrag have been adjusted.
So these are one final thing.
Season three will include therelease of rain tires on the
Lotus 79 and Super Formula Jeff.
Imagine driving the damn SuperFormula in the wet Death wish.

(46:12):
The F4 has received a full, dryand wet tire rework.
Okay.
The BMW M4 G82 GT4 has beenupgraded to the Evo version.
This car will updateautomatically and you don't have
to do anything specific.
So you get it.
It's free as long as you boughtthat car.
We have updated the steeringwheel on the BMW M Hybrid V8 to

(46:36):
reflect the current wheel anddash button panel used this year
.
Last season we released phaseone of a two-phase effort to
improve the realism of the GTPclass and its supporting physics
system.
An overhaul of the hybridsystem was identified as phase
two and we intend to completethat work in time for season
three, phase two and we intendto complete that work in time

(47:00):
for season three.
This work is well underway andwe have determined that the SIEM
would benefit from a morecomprehensive overall overhaul
of a foundational hybrid systemcode.
The result is we need a bitmore time, but it'll be worth it
, they promise.
So here's the work in progressof the GTP.
I'm going to man this wholeepisode.

(47:24):
Season three will offer someimprovements.
So quad view four ratedrendering.
Excuse me, foveated rendering.
Example Note that claritydifference between the center
and the peripheral.
This will be configurable.
Wow, wow.

Erick (47:45):
That's going to be huge.

Jason (47:47):
Are there any other?

Erick (47:50):
Are there any other systems that support foveated
rendering?

Jason (47:53):
No.

Erick (47:55):
That's going to be no.

Jason (48:00):
If you have a, a headset that has eye tracking, yep that
that might be huge forperformance so, guys, I'm gonna
have to skim over this becausewe've been on this for too long,
but vr is so has some changes.
The rain and visit and visualand physical balance tuning.
Look how the rain looks now Iwant to keep going, but this

(48:21):
will be the entire episode andthere's a lot of good stuff in
here yeah, it's a massive update, so this is what the new UI is
going to come nice I don't knowif it's coming, I'm excited.

Erick (48:35):
In an abbreviated format Nice I don't know if it's coming
, I'm excited.

Jason (48:38):
In an abbreviated format, as we spent a great deal.
I hope they do come.
So these are the new UiDesigniteration as an example.

Jeff (48:47):
Black box stuff.

Jason (48:48):
Yep Black boxes and gears .
That looks clean, it looksmodern.
I love it.

Jeff (48:55):
I hide that, but I use it.

Jason (49:00):
Oh, yes, new sim.

Erick (49:02):
UI.
Bro, this is going to behumongous.

Jason (49:04):
A new rendering engine, a new rendering engine.
This project is goingtremendously well and every day
the team reaches a new milestoneof significance.
So this engine will transformthe look and performance of
iRacing and features aGPU-driven architecture and
minimal CPU overhead.
Thank you, thank you Lastquarter.

(49:27):
Okay, I really want to.

Erick (49:31):
Like Jeff said, it's good stuff, man, I mean this is
going to be crazy.

Jeff (49:34):
This is going to be a massive update.

Jason (49:36):
Look at this.

Jeff (49:36):
We should take over-unders on the size of the update.
Rob.

Jason (49:39):
Markman Jr Career mode, eric Career mode.
We took a momentary side questfrom our career mode.
These guys are working on allkinds of shit Future tracking
content.
I mean Guys, I really I wouldlove to do a deep dive, but I

(50:03):
mean I went.
I think I hit the mostimportant point here.

Jeff (50:08):
Yeah.

Jason (50:08):
As we are, we're basically 50 minutes into the
episode.

Erick (50:17):
Oh, iRacing man, that is crazy iRacing.

Jason (50:20):
So I think that we had some other things planned today,
but we're going to have to pushthat to next week.
Guys.
Honestly, this just became.

Erick (50:33):
The iRacing update overloaded, but here's the
beauty of this, we're in week 10.

Jason (50:41):
That means two more weeks from now, because by the time
you guys all view this, we'll bein week 11.
We're going to get all thisstuff in two weeks.

Jeff (50:51):
You're just going to bear a week 14.

Jason (50:54):
Yeah, week 13,.
Right, week 13.

Jeff (50:56):
Go play your second favorite sim that week Go to the
beach.
It's summertime.

Jason (51:01):
Take the kids out, go to movies, do whatever.

Erick (51:05):
Make sure you clear out some storage space.
Put the download You're goingto need it.
That's going to be heavy.

Jason (51:10):
We had some very, very good stuff planned.
I did not expect this to gothat long.
Track of the week will bepostponed.

Erick (51:21):
yet again, we're going to get it.
We're going to get to it.

Jason (51:26):
I'm excited, Dude.
Everything is changing.
Every single thing is changingabout it.
This is going to affect ourdriving, our lap times, our way.
It looks the freaking rain.

Jeff (51:38):
Um new cars update to map I want the indy car, the sound
of that I don't know why indyisn't as popular in iRacing as I
guess I thought it would be.
Maybe it's the time zone we areI was about to say bro, because
indy is probably maybe morepopular in the United States

(51:59):
than Europe.
Maybe I don't know, I'm not, don't quote me on this crew and
everybody's asleep.
Maybe I don't know.
I just thought it would be.
I mean, look at the Indy 500.
They have like hundreds ofthousands of people there.
I log in and there's like threepeople in an IndyCar race on
iRacing.

Erick (52:16):
That's very interesting.
Well, so I would think that ifit's more Americans, sim racing
is still getting going in the US, so I think you might have a
lot of people that watch it butmight not necessarily be doing
sim racing, so that might havesomething to do with it.
What I heard is you said thatthey're missing out.

Jason (52:35):
The most popular one is GT3.
So it might be that time foryou, Jeff, to get in a GT3.

Erick (52:41):
They got a new tire model .

Jason (52:42):
They got a brand new selection.
The selection is all brand new.

Jeff (52:47):
Eventually, everybody's going to slip.

Jason (52:49):
You have the same tracks.
You already have half thetracks, yeah fair.
Road tracks, road tracks, roadtracks.
So, guys, um, again myapologies.
We opened up the show withplans and the track of the week,
so we're gonna postpone thatfor next one, uh, for the next
episode, which is good, right, this is a good thing we have.

(53:10):
These are things that arehappening in the community, and
iRacing is completely destroyingthe comp.
I don't see anybody doing anupdate like this.
I mean, at most they get a tinyparagraph worth of changes.
This thing is like pages, bro.

Jeff (53:29):
I mean, who else is subscription based though?
So let's you know kind ofcompare apples and apples here.
So it's what LMU?

Jason (53:36):
LMU is optional, not forced, like iRacing.
Yeah, raceroom, they make youpay per car and track, but it
doesn't need a subscription.
So this is it.
I mean, iracing is the onlysubscription, but look what
you're getting.
I mean, look at what you'regetting, you know what I'm

(53:57):
saying.

Jeff (53:57):
say oh yeah, 100 and they offer the best.
You know, uh, racing fellowhumans not.
You know the ai that they'rehands down.

Jason (54:06):
You say what you want if you want to race another human,
it's iRacing it's hard toconvince somebody to get into
iRacing if they haven't tried it, because they look at it.
And I went through this withEric.
Eric was like why would I payBack?
Before he was sim racing.
I was like damn, that's crazy.
You guys pay per track and percar.
But then I was telling him, ifyou compare a game like GT7, gt7

(54:31):
has what?
900 cars, 800 cars now with thelibrary, yeah they're adding
new ones, but they're none youwant.
They all sound similar, do theynot?
And they all drive very similarto each other.
When you have something, I toldEric, when you get into a rig

(54:51):
and you finally jump over to PCand you try iRacing, you pick
one car and you grow with thatcar and you know how that car
behaves.
And you jump into another carand it's totally, totally,
totally different animal,totally different.
You are not bouncing aroundcars like all right.

Jeff (55:08):
Today I'm racing the I don't know honda civic you can,
but you ain't gonna becompetitive, you ain't gonna be
yeah, yeah and that's, and I canattest to that yeah, yeah, and
I can attest to that.

Erick (55:19):
You can do that.
Yeah, yeah, but I can attest tothat, especially getting used
to that BMW and trying to racein something else just to get my
eye rating up, and I mean, itwas a completely different
animal.

Jeff (55:32):
How'd that eye rating go after that one?
It was a disaster man, I knowI've been there, done that, took
a nose dive.

Erick (55:39):
It took me one time to realize, hey, I'm just going to
wait until another BMW racecomes up, because I can't be
doing this.

Jason (55:45):
Another tip that I gave Eric and I would give, and I
want to share it here before Iforget it.
If you are tired, Eric, youknow where I'm going with this.

Erick (55:55):
Oh yeah.

Jason (55:56):
Give me a nod, bro.
Yeah, if you are tired, do notget into an official race.
Just don't do it.
Don't force the eye, don'tforce the hand Get your ass.
Some sleep and come back whenyou're ready and you're nice and
you're comfortable, because youwill mess it up and you're

(56:17):
going to.
You're going to go to sleep mad.
You know, instead of going tosleep mad.

Erick (56:22):
Been there, done that go to sleep mad and wake up tired
or if you go on vacation.

Jason (56:28):
You've been away from the rig for two weeks that's the
truth stay off the damnofficials.
If somebody comes over thehouse, completely uninstall.

Erick (56:36):
Iracing Don't let them hear it.

Jeff (56:39):
Don't let them hear it.
Rob Markman, I let somebody dothat in ACC.
I was grinding to get to lowfuel motorsports and I totally
forgot to turn it off.
It was like two months of work.
Go, rob Markman.

Jason (56:51):
I forgot to tell him that I was like dude.
Even in the practice you messup in practice, free practice,
you're going to crash and go offtrack.

Erick (57:00):
I cheated that day.

Jason (57:01):
ACC is like all right.

Erick (57:02):
That's crazy.

Jason (57:03):
Yeah, acc, don't play that.
You mess around, they don't.

Erick (57:08):
They say you better not mess up our cars now.

Jason (57:11):
I don't care what mode you in Right.

Erick (57:17):
We got a sponsorship and you're over here being
disrespectful yeah, you'redamaging the merchandise, you're
making us look bad.

Jason (57:21):
Right now I'll tell you, I think, I think I racing needs
uh more, a better damage modellike a cracked screen.
Like you know, when you wreck acar in acc, you can't see a
damn thing.
Oh, yeah you, oh yeah, youcan't see.
And the lights be flickering atnight Like they be.
They, oh my God.
And then they completely go outand it's like well, what am I

(57:43):
supposed to do?
You're on the Nurburgring, there ain't no lights for half
the track, there ain't no lights, no that's a disaster.

Erick (57:49):
Find some grass.

Jason (57:51):
Yeah, pull it back into the pits.
Anyways, today again guys.
Yeah, that was unexpected.

Erick (58:04):
So round tables.
I mean, I'm excited, man,because we've got several other
games and this is so muchcompetition, even like reading
some of the track updatesthey're doing Our racing is.
They definitely hit everybodyelse with the Hold my Beer you
know they're just in anotherplace with it and I hate to say

(58:24):
it but the capital that theyhave from that subscription
model they're putting it to use.
Like even talking to you, jason, you know, talking to anybody
about iRacing is like when youtalk about the price.
Until you start tellingsomebody else what you're paying
, you don't realize how muchyou're paying, which is a sign

(58:46):
that you're getting what you,that you're getting your money's
worth.
You feel like it's worth itRight.

Jason (58:50):
And you don't have access to 800 or 500 cars, to 800 or
500 cars.
But when you pick a car or youuse the BMW, which is a free car
, which is an amazing free car, honestly I can't believe.
That car is free now, great.
And then you hate it, right?
You hate this car, you hate itthe way it drives, you hate it,

(59:11):
hate it, hate it.
And then you learn how to driveit and you just end up finding
a love for it.
It's a weird thing.
You know what I mean.
And there's a way to drive theBMW and there's a way to drive
these other cars.
It's just, I don't know theygot it.
They got it right.
You know what I mean.
They got it right, unlessyou're straight up GT3, you know

(59:34):
those cars are different too.
You have aids, though that saveyou.
Um, so that's you know kind ofwhat they were designed for.
They were designed to beslammed in a corner and it says
hold on.
So, jeff, you got anything, bro, what you got for us.

Jeff (59:54):
Uh, no, just say uh.
By the time people listen tothis, indy 500 will be over.
But, gentlemen, this is thefirst time since 1983 a rookie
has been on the pole Indy car.
Indy does what they'requalifying the week before the
actual race.
It's like a buildup thing, Iguess.
I don't know.
Interesting, but nonetheless.
40 plus years.
So, bro, we barbecuing.

(01:00:18):
40 plus years.
So, bro, we barbecue on thepole.
You know we barbecue in russianindia.
We get a long weekend, man, that's right.

Erick (01:00:21):
Our monday's memorial day I forgot about that man it's
all right, man, we'll put ericon a fucking tripod and we'll
just facetime his ass and actlike we'll put a broad next to
him or something.
Yeah, we'll put a beer rightlike right next to him, like
this is for you bro, we pour itout, oh man.

Jeff (01:00:38):
So so I heard they had a huge crash too, um, like over
the top, and those guys aregoing like 240 something miles
an hour did all right, so youobviously.

Jason (01:00:48):
It's obvious that I don't watch indie, so that might be
another potential track of theweek that we might have to cover
.
Maybe, Big time Maybe.
I already know who's going tocover it.

Erick (01:01:01):
Maybe, yeah, maybe, so guys with that.

Jeff (01:01:05):
That's all I got buddy.

Jason (01:01:08):
Again, audience, that's to tell you.
This is proof that this isunscripted.
We didn't have any script hereand it just kept going and going
and I'm trying to read at thespeed of light here.
But I want the information tocome across and I want you guys
to understand that everything wespoke about, 90% of it, is

(01:01:33):
coming to you free.
Free of charge, just thesubscription.
So I highly recommend.
We're not affiliate.
We have our affiliate.
We're not affiliate to iRacing.
I would love to Tell them tosend a few gift cards and we'll
give them out.
Let me know.
Just come on the show and talk.
Come on the show.

Erick (01:01:54):
Love to hear the story about how they got this model
started, because it's unique.
Nobody else has thought aboutthat.

Jeff (01:02:02):
It came out before the subscription.
They came out with thesubscription before everybody
did the subscription.

Erick (01:02:08):
Yeah, that was an interesting decision, but
obviously they had a plan andit's coming to fruition right
now.
Strategic thinking.

Jason (01:02:15):
Well, it's not that they're just cashing, they're
keeping your cash, they're usingthat money towards right.
It's not like DLC.
You buy DLC, they just keepthat money and they give you a
few cars and tell you to behappy.
But I mean, how many times thisgame has been overhauled, is my

(01:02:37):
question.
How many times?
Because it's been every time wecome around.
We look around the corner.
They added a toilet on Spa.
So we're not we got to redo Spa, we got to put that toilet in
there.
You know what I'm saying.

Erick (01:02:51):
Got to have realism, man.

Jason (01:02:53):
Yeah, yeah, we got this.
You know they, you know, youknow.
So anyways, guys, thank you somuch for being here.
It is my favorite part of theweek as well.
Uh, chime on jeff's energy anderic, happy birthday again.
Good to see you appreciate it,yes, sir one more week closer to
the expo there you go, one moreweek closer.

(01:03:14):
We're on the weeks now and uhthat guys have a great start of
your week, Thank you.
