Ocean Acidification - With increasing concentrations of CO2 released into the atmosphere from human activities, the world's oceans are absorbing more and more carbon dioxide. This alters the pH of the ocean making it more acidic than usual.
Paris Agreement - an international treaty adopted in 2015 under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to limit global warming to well below 2 degrees Celsius, preferably 1.5 degrees Celsius, compared to pre-industrial levels.
