Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello and welcome to another episode of the Clinic
Marketing Podcast.
I'm your host, darci Sullivan, with Propel Marketing and Design
.
Today, we're diving into atopic that's reshaping the world
of search and online marketingand how it can directly impact
your clinic's business.
We're going to discuss howupdates to chatGPT's search

(00:25):
capabilities can help youattract more patients,
streamline your marketingefforts and stay ahead of this
ever-evolving digital landscape.
Now let's start with a littlebit of context.
If you've been keeping your eyeon the tech world, you've
probably noticed theGoogleization of ChatGPT and the

(00:47):
ChatGPTization of Google Search, meaning that you will see how
AI tools like ChatGPT are comingmore like search engines, while
search engines are evolving andadapting to become more
AI-driven and offerconversational features.

(01:09):
This is absolutely fascinating,if you ask me, and recently
ChatGPT has announced somereally groundbreaking updates to
their search features.
So today we're going to look atwhat does that mean for you as
a clinic owner, meteor, chiropractor, physical therapist
, acupuncturist, whatever thisis a good introduction to you,

(01:36):
for you and how chat GPT ischanging and how we're really
starting to see SEO searchengine optimization evolve.
Now do I feel that the vastmajority of the people tomorrow
are going to start using ChatGPTto search for local businesses?

(01:56):
No, but as we just mentioned, chatgpt and the AI factor is
changing the way that Google isdisplaying information and vice
versa, so it really is a goodidea for you to stay on top of
understanding how this works.
So one of the most excitingupdates is ChatGPT's new local

(02:21):
search feature.
This allows users to search forlocal businesses, like
chiropractors, and see resultsdisplayed on a map or in a list
format.
For example, if someonesearches chiropractor near me,
chachipt can now display locallistings complete with business
information and direct links tocall or visit that company's

(02:44):
website.
Here's why this matters to you.
One visibility With the newfeature, your practice can
appear in ChatGPT's searchresults similar to how it might
show up in Google's local pack, that's the map pack that's
controlled by your Googlebusiness profile listing.
This increases your chance tobe discovered by potential

(03:08):
patients.
Also, direct engagement Userscan tap your listing to call
your office or visit yourwebsite directly.
This reduces the friction in apatient's journey and makes it
easier for people to book anappointment, but there's more
journey and makes it easier forpeople to book an appointment,
but there's more.

(03:28):
Currently, reviews are not yetintegrated into ChatGPT's local
search, but that could changesoon and if it does, maintaining
a positive online reputationwould become even more critical.
Another note in updates forChatGPT involves navigational
queries, where someone searchesfor a specific business or

(03:49):
website.
Chatgpt now highlightsprominent brands or businesses
with visibility-appealing cards.
Imagine someone searching foryour clinic name and seeing a
polished, branded card with yourlogo and direct links to your
website.
This kind of branding canreally help you stand out in a
crowd.
Another interesting aspect isthe fact that ChatGPT now has a

(04:16):
live mode with search.
This feature allows ChatGPT toaccess real-time data.
This means you can leveragelive mode to track the latest
trends, local events and healthtopics.
Remember when ChatGPT firstcame out and it had limited data
.
Not only did it have limiteddata, but it was limited.

(04:41):
Showcase real-time data.
Chatgpt's live mode can alsoenhance how you interact with
your audience.
Imagine using this technologyto answer patients' questions in
real-time or keep your websitecontent fresh and relevant.
Now, as of yet, there are noadvertising opportunities on

(05:04):
ChatGPT, but let's keep in mindthat could also change in the
future.
These kinds of updates allowfor potential advertising
opportunities.
Again, these aren't currentlyin motion, but it is something
that we could see in the future.
Let's go over a couple examples.
I went to to chat GPT and Iasked it a few things and based

(05:27):
on what I asked it, I got verydifferent responses.
So the first question I said tochat GPT is who's the best
chiropractor near me?
And chat GPT gave kind of ageneral response, something that
it probably would have givenpreviously.
It basically basically said toyou I'm going to paraphrase here
, but it said to find your bestchiropractor near you, I'll need

(05:50):
to know your location.
Alternatively, you can usethese tips check their Google
business profile referrals,consider specialization, their
creditization.
And then it said let me knowyour location or zip code and I
can look up some highlyrecommended chiropractors in
your area.
So I gave it my zip code and itsaid based on your zip code,

(06:11):
here are some highly recommendedchiropractors in your area.
Now the listings that it gavefor the chiropractors in my area
.
Interestingly enough, if Iclick on the link that's
included, it takes me directlyto the Google Maps, the Google
Business Profile listing for thechiropractor listed there.

(06:33):
Well, it gives me the maplisting which showcases that one
, along with some of the othersthat are recommended.
Now for the example that we werepreviously talking about, about
those cards styleadvertisements.
I then started my search kindof over again with Chachi PC and
I said I'm looking for achiropractor in the business

(06:53):
highlights and it has theability to get directions.
The directions links to theGoogle Maps direction to go to
their website or to call them.
So this is definitely veryinteresting.

(07:16):
It also cites the sources thatit used to pull that information
.
This is all great and dandy, butwhat does this mean for you,
for helping your business?
Well, this just goes to showthat SEO is more important now
than ever before.
You want to make sure that youtruly optimize your online

(07:37):
presence, just as you wouldoptimize for Google's local
search.
You want to make sure that yourpractice information is
accurate and compelling acrossall platforms.
This includes your website, your social media and your other
online directories.
The last thing that you want todo is have conflicting
information, whether it's anaddress, a phone number or

(07:58):
information about the servicesthat you offer.
You also want to monitordevelopments.
We don't know what the futureholds, but we do know that
ChatGPT could offer differentsearch capabilities for local
search and potentiallyadvertising options in the
future, and also we want toembrace AI tools.

(08:22):
So one of the biggest takeawayshere is that I would suggest to
you block out five minutes aweek and go to chat GPT and play
with it, asking for achiropractor in your zip code.
If you're a chiropractor orchiropractor near you, depending
on what services your businessoffers, your clinic offers do a

(08:43):
search on Google to see whatshows up and do a search also in
ChatGPT.
This is going to help youunderstand the way that it
displays information better.
Thank you, as always, forlistening to this episode of the
Clinic Marketing Podcast.

always, if you have any topicsyou would like to hear about,
please let us know.
The best way to reach out isvia Instagram at Propel your
Company.
And again, until next time, please do take five minutes to
do some googling and some chatGPT searches to find out where

(09:25):
you rank, how you rank, how chatGPT showcases your information
and your competitors information.
Have a great day.
