Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey there and welcome back to the Clinic Marketing
Podcast.
I'm your host, darci Sullivanfrom Propel Marketing and Design
.
Today we're diving into one ofthe easiest and most effective
ways to come up with contentideas for your clinic's website,
blog and social media.
It's Google's People Also Askfeature.

(00:23):
If you've ever typed a questioninto Google, you've probably
noticed a section in the searchresults called People Also Ask.
People also call this section, paa for short.
This box contains relatedquestions that real people are
searching for.
But here's the kicker that realpeople are searching for, but

(00:48):
here's the kicker.
This feature is an absolutegoal mine for clinic owners like
you, who want to create contentthat directly answers your
potential patients' questions.
So today we're going to coverwhat the People Also Ask feature
is and how it works, how to useit to find endless content
ideas for your clinic's website, blog and social media.

(01:11):
We'll go over some examples ofhow chiropractors, massage
therapists and acupuncturistscan leverage this tool, and
we'll chat about how to turnthese questions into
high-ranking SEO content.
So grab a notebook, because atthe end of this episode, if you
follow the steps we chat about, you'll have dozens of content

(01:33):
ideas ready to go.
Let's get started, all right.
So first, what exactly is thePeople Also Ask box exactly?
Is the people also ask box?
When you type a question intoGoogle like how can a
chiropractor help with back pain, you'll often see a box in the
search results with otherrelated questions that people

(01:56):
are asking.
These might be.
And keep in mind has to gothrough and talk about examples
and keep in mind, as we gothrough and talk about examples,
we're giving examples thatcould show up.
It doesn't mean these are theexact examples you will see if
you type in similar searchquestions, but in the example

(02:16):
just given of how can achiropractor help with back pain
, in the people also ask section, you might see results like how
many chiropractic sessions do Ineed for back pain?
Can a chiropractor fix posture?
Is chiropractic care safe?

(02:38):
Now, from here, when you clickon one of these questions,
google generates even morerelated questions.
You can keep expanding the listand uncovering dozens of
patients' questions.
In just a few minutes, googleis literally telling you what

(02:59):
your potential patients want toknow.
All you have to do is createcontent that answers these
questions.
Now that you know what thepeople also ask feature is,
let's talk about how you can useit to come up with content
ideas.
It's pretty simple.
Step one start with a broadquestion.

(03:19):
Think about your ideal patientand what they might type into
Google.
Now, if you haven't taken thetime to identify your ideal
patient, we'll link a resourcespecifically geared towards that
in the resources associatedwith this episode.

(03:40):
We did an episode all aboutidentifying your target audience
and how to connect with thembetter.
But back to the example.
So, step one start with a broadquestion.
Think about your ideal patientand what they might type into
Google.
For example, if you're achiropractor, it could be what
are the benefits of chiropracticadjustment?

(04:01):
If you're a massage therapist,it could be does massage therapy
help with migraines?
If you're an acupuncturist, anexample for this could be how
does acupuncture help withfertility?
Step two look at the people.
Also ask questions.
Google will show you relatedquestions that real people are

(04:24):
searching for.
Step three click on questionsto reveal even more.
Each time you click on aquestion, more related questions
will appear.
Step four, and this is theimportant one create content
around these questions.
Once you have a list of five toten common questions, you'll
have tons of topics for blogposts, social media posts,

(04:48):
videos and reels and FAQ section, if you have that on your
website.
Now let's go through somereal-world examples of how
clinic owners can use this tool.
Example one chiropractor.
Let's say you search can achiropractor help with neck pain
?
Here's what the people also askbox might.

(05:11):
I'm not saying for sure, but itmight show something similar to
what type of chiropractor isbest for neck pain?
How many adjustments does ittake to fix neck pain?
Can chiropractic is best forneck pain?
How many adjustments does ittake to fix neck pain?
Can chiropractic adjustmentscause headaches?
Now, each of these questionsyou could turn into a blog post,

(05:33):
like a blog post about how manychiropractic adjustments do you
need for neck pain, or a socialmedia post like what type of
chiropractic care is best forneck pain, maybe even with a
video explaining this.
And if you do have an FAQsection on your website, you

(05:53):
could address concerns aboutheadaches after adjustments.
Maybe you have a FAQ page onyour website, or maybe on a
headaches page on your websiteyou could address some of those
frequently asked questions.
Okay, let's look at two moreexamples.
Example two let's say you're amassage therapist.

(06:15):
Now let's try using the sameprocess and instead typing in
does massage help with anxiety?
Google's People Also Ask mightshow something similar too.
Which type of massage is bestfor anxiety?
Can a massage replace therapyfor anxiety?

(06:36):
How often should you get amassage for stress relief?
Again, you can leverage thisand come up with content.
Ideas like a blog post titledbest types of massage for
anxiety and stress relief.
Maybe a social media videoabout how often should you get a

(06:56):
massage for anxiety, and maybea social media post like an
Instagram short clip explainingwhether massage can replace fear
.
Again, these are just examples.
We'll go over one more and thenwe'll talk about some SEO tips.
Sound good, all right.
Example three if you were anacupuncturist, let's say you go

(07:19):
to Google and you type in doesacupuncture work for fertility?
Google might suggest thefollowing how many acupuncture
sessions do you need forfertility?
What should I expect afteracupuncture for fertility?
Does acupuncture work for IVFsuccess?

(07:40):
Now you could take these andcreate amazing content.
Maybe a blog post calledacupuncture and IVF can't boost
your success rate.
You could create a YouTubevideo what to expect after the
first acupuncture session forfertility.
Maybe a blog post or a Facebookpost that shares patient

(08:05):
success story about acupunctureand fertility.
Now that you've got a handful ofideas for content.
How do you make sure thatthey'll actually rank on Google?
Well, you know, on this podcast, we love to talk about SEO, and
while this episode isn't geareddirectly towards SEO, I do want

(08:26):
to give you a couple tips andstrategies when it comes to
using these questions and how toleverage them for SEO.
So here are a couple tips.
One you want to use the exactquestion as your headline.
So if people search for howdoes acupuncture help with
fertility, use that as yourexact blog title.

(08:49):
Then you want to answer thequestion immediately.
You do not want to bury theanswer under a long intro.
You want to give the answer inthe first two sentences.
Then and this is very importantyou want to give the answer in
the first two sentences.
Then and this is very importantyou want to go deeper.
So your blog post isn't justthat really great title that

(09:10):
matches exactly what somebody'ssearching for in those one to
two sentences.
No, you are going to divedeeper into this post.
You want to make sure that yougo deep.
Google prioritizes content thatfully answers the question and
details research and patientexperience.

(09:30):
When it makes sense, use bulletpoints.
Google loves structured content, so lists and bullet points
help your content rank in searchresults.
Also, you want to add internallinks linking your content from
the blog post that you justcreated to other relevant pages

(09:52):
on your website.
If you do this consistently, you'll start to rank higher in
Google and bring in more newpatients.
Now it's important to note thatthere are many additional steps
that you should take with SEOand that this one strategy of

(10:13):
asking the specific question inthe title, answering it at the
start of the blog post and thengoing into detail is the
strategy that we suggest whenyou're using content that you've
derived from the people also usin Google.

(10:33):
But there are many other ways tostructure content and to
structure blogs.
This is just one example, andwe'll link to additional
resources that we've puttogether on best SEO practices
and blogging best practices inthe show notes to give you even
more tips to follow.

(10:54):
But let's start to wrap this up.

Now you know how to useGoogle's People Also Ask feature
to generate endless contentideas for your clinic.
