(00:44):
we'll uncover practical ways tolive fearlessly, love like Jesus
and let your face shine inevery part of your life.
Let's jump in.
Let's talk about truth, thekind that holds everything
together.
The belt of truth isn't flashy.
It's not the armor that getsnoticed first, but, just like in
the military or in the world ofAttack on Titan, the belt is
essential.
If it's not fastened, everything else is at risk of
falling apart.
(01:04):
That's why Ephesians, chapter 6, verse 14, opens with stand,
therefore having fastened on thebelt of truth.
This isn't about preference,it's about survival.
Truth is God's baseline.
It's not just something webelieve, it's the framework for
how we see the world, and ifthat framework is broken,
everything else wobbles.
Let's use attack on Titan as alens.
Remember the moment the truthabout the world outside the
(01:25):
walls was discovered.
That revelation shookeverything Paradigm shattered,
morale, unsteady.
Why?
Because their belief system hadbeen based on lies Lies about
protection, lies about purpose, lies about the titans.
The belt of deception had beencinched tight and when it
snapped, chaos followed.
Spiritually, this happens allthe time.
When our lives are built aroundhalf-truths, false comfort or
(01:45):
religious performance ratherthan the raw, living word of God
, we become easy targets.
The enemy doesn't need to bringdown our whole faith, he just
has to loosen our belt.
John, chapter 8, verse 32, saysand you will know the truth and
the truth will set you free.
But that only works if we trulyknow it, not just recite it.
That kind of knowing doesn'tcome from scrolling through
sound bites or repeating what weheard in a sermon.
It comes from diving deep, studying the word, wrestling
(02:09):
with it, letting it correct us.
Think about Mikasa and her ODMgear and for those who haven't
seen Attack on Titan, odm standsfor Omnidirectional Mobility
Gear.
It's the system that lets herfly through the air and take
down titans.
But here's the thing it's notjust dangling there, it's
strapped on tight, locked in andplaced with purpose.
Mikasa moves the way she doesbecause she's anchored, she's
grounded.
And that's exactly how the beltof truth works in your
(02:31):
spiritual life.
It centers your thinking, steadies your steps and gives
you alignment when the chaoscomes.
Now, here's the danger many ofus don't realize.
Sometimes we wear a belt, butit's not the belt of truth, it's
the belt of culture, of comfort, of control, and those belts
snap when pressure hits.
Truth doesn't snap, truthstands.
Let me ask you a hard questionwhat's holding you together
(02:52):
right now?
Is it the truth of God's wordor something else that feels
secure but isn't strong enoughfor the real fight?
We're living in a time whentruth is seen as relative.
People say live your truth.
But when your truth collideswith someone else's, whose truth
wins?
Only God's truth is eternal.
Psalm 119, verse 160, says thesum of your word is truth and
every one of your righteousrules endures forever.
(03:13):
So how do we fasten that belt?
It starts with scripture.
Not reading to check a box, butreading to build your spine.
When you face anxiety, truthsays cast all your anxieties on
him because he cares for you.
When you face temptation, truthsays cast all your anxieties on
him because he cares for you.
When you face temptation, truthsays no temptation has
overtaken you.
That is not common to man.
God is faithful.
Every lie you face has a truththat can defeat it.
But you've got to be prepared.
In attack on Titan soldiersdon't wait until a Titan is
(03:36):
breathing down their neck tofigure out how their gear works.
They train ahead of time.
They practice until it becomessecond nature.
That's how they survive, andthe same goes for us.
If the only time we openscripture is when we're in a
crisis, we're walking intobattle without our belt fastened
.
Truth isn't just for emergencies, it's for every moment.
So let's get practical.
This week, start your day withone truth verse.
(03:56):
Say it out loud, write it down, put it on your phone background
, let it wrap around yourthinking like a belt.
When shame speaks, remindyourself.
There is therefore now, nocondemnation for those who are
in Christ Jesus.
When fear creeps in, declareGod gave me a spirit not of fear
, but of power and love andself-control.
Truth doesn't just defend you,it aligns you.
It's not a backup plan, it'sthe starting point.
(04:17):
That's why Paul didn't save itfor later in the armor list.
He led with it.
If you've been living withspiritual pants sagging, today's
the day to fasten your belt, secure it, walk in it and don't
take it off, because when theenemy comes swinging, you'll be
ready, not because you'restronger, but because you're
anchored.
Let's move forward with truthstrapped on, tight eyes locked
on the fight ahead andconfidence not in ourselves, but
(04:37):
in the unshakable truth ofGod's word.
Righteousness, now, that's aword that gets thrown around a
lot in church circles, but let'sbreak it down.
This piece of armor is crucial.
Ephesians, chapter 6, verse 14continues.
And, having put on thebreastplate of righteousness,
think of this as God sayingprotect your heart at all costs,
because if the enemy can woundyour heart, your core identity,
it throws everything off.
In attack on Titan, one of themost powerful images of armor is
(05:00):
in physical, it's emotionalresilience.
It's Mikasa still standingafter losing her parents.
It's Armin, believing in abetter world even when
surrounded by violence.
It's Irene pushing forward inthe face of betrayal.
That's the breastplate working, guarding the inner person so
they can still move forwardSpiritually.
Righteousness isn't perfection,it's protection.
2 Corinthians, chapter 5, verse21, says For our sake, he made
(05:21):
him to be sin who knew no sin,so that in him we might become
the righteousness of God.
We don't earn this armor, wereceive it.
But here's the catch it onlyworks if we wear it.
Let me put it like this you canown the best bulletproof vest
in the world, but if it stays inyour closet it won't protect
you in a firefight.
The same goes for righteousness.
You've got to strap it on,you've got to let it shape how
you see yourself.
Shape how you see yourself, because the enemy's favorite
(05:42):
weapon Shame, guilt,condemnation.
He'll remind you of everythingyou've done wrong and convince
you that's who you are.
But righteousness saysotherwise.
Righteousness says you'reforgiven, you're covered, You're
chosen.
And let's be real, some of usare walking around in emotional
shrapnel because we never put onthe breastplate.
We let every insult hit deep, every mistake reopened old
wounds, every failure defined us.
(06:04):
It's time to suit up.
The breastplate covers theheart and lungs, vital organs.
Spiritually, it covers youridentity and your purpose.
Without it, you're open toevery attack.
You begin to doubt who you arein Christ, you start measuring
your worth by your success or byhow others treat you.
That's when the enemy has anopening.
But when you put on thebreastplate, you remember Romans
, chapter 8, verse 1.
There is therefore now nocondemnation for those who are
(06:26):
in Christ Jesus.
You walk with your head up, notprideful, but protected.
Let's go back to attack on Titanfor a moment.
When Levi suits up for battle,he doesn't flinch, not because
the threat isn't real, butbecause his discipline is real.
He knows what he's wearing, hetrusts it.
That's the kind of confidencewe need when we step into
spiritual warfare.
You don't have to be loud to bestrong.
Righteousness is quiet strength.
(06:47):
It doesn't need to proveanything, it just stands, it
just protects, and sometimesthat's the strongest move of all
.
Now I want to get real for asecond.
Maybe you feel disqualified.
Maybe you think righteousnessis for other people, people who
haven't messed up like you have.
But hear me.
Stuff like you have.
But hear me, righteousnessisn't about your record, it's
about your Redeemer.
And if Jesus says you'recovered, then you are.
(07:10):
So what does it look like towear the breastplate in everyday
life?
It means when anxiety creeps in, you declare I am not a slave
to fear.
When regret whispers, yourespond as far as the East is
from the West, so far has Godremoved my transgressions from
me.
It means you stop agreeing withthe lies about your identity,
you stop rehearsing your worstmoments and you start walking
like someone who's been maderight.
Let's make it personal thisweek.
Write down what righteousnessmeans to you.
Keep it visible.
(07:30):
When the darts of guilt orself-doubt come flying, use that
truth to deflect them.
Speak it out loud.
Live like it's true, because itis.
You're not who you were, you'rewho God says you are, and that
truth, that righteousness, isyour breastplate.
So put it on, hold your groundand guard your heart like.
Your life depends on it,because spiritually it does.
Peace doesn't mean the absenceof conflict.
(07:51):
It means presence in the chaosand let's be honest, we need
that kind of peace now more thanever.
Ephesians, chapter 6, verse 15,says and as shoes for your feet
, having put on the readinessgiven by the gospel of peace.
Having put on the readinessgiven by the gospel of peace,
shoes might not seem like a bigdeal, but in battle they're
everything.
Try running, climbing orstanding your ground in bad
shoes you're toast.
The Roman soldier's sandalswere designed for traction,
speed and endurance.
(08:12):
Spiritually, that's what thegospel of peace does for us.
In attack on Titan, the terrainis brutal.
Walls crumble, forests hideenemies, rooftops become
battlegrounds.
Mobility is key.
The ODM gear gets them airborne, but the footwear has to handle
sudden shifts and hard landings.
Spiritually, our footingmatters too.
The gospel of the good newsthat Jesus died, rose and reigns
(08:32):
gives us grounding.
Peace comes not fromcircumstance, but from
confidence in what Jesus hasdone.
Isaiah 52, verse 7, says howbeautiful upon the mountains are
the feet of Him who brings goodnews, who publishes peace.
That means you're not justwearing peace, you're.
And here's the truth.
Peace isn't passive, it's notsilence or avoidance, it's
(08:55):
active readiness.
The verse says that meansyou're alert, you're mobile,
you're prepared to respond, notretreat.
Think about Armin again.
His power wasn't in muscle, itwas in strategy and calm under
pressure.
That's gospel peace in motion.
When everyone else panics, youstay planted.
When chaos erupts, you movewisely.
The enemy thrives in disorder.
He wants you rattled, anxious,stumbling.
(09:17):
But when you're footing hispeace you don't slip.
Psalm 119, verse 165, says Greatpeace have those who love your
law.
Nothing can make them stumble.
So let's get practical.
What disrupts your peace?
Is it the news cycle, socialmedia, finances, relationships?
Identify the places whereanxiety slips in and meet them
with the gospel.
Speak truth into tension.
Invite Jesus into the moment.
(09:42):
It also means being a peacemaker, not a peacekeeper or
peacemaker.
That's someone who moves towardconflict with grace.
Matthew 5, verse 9, saysBlessed are the peacemakers, for
they shall be called sons ofGod.
Peacemakers don't run fromtension, they redeem it.
They don't avoid the hardconversations, they enter them
with gentleness.
That's gospel shoes in action.
And let's not forget, shoes aremade for movement.
The gospel isn't something wehoard, it's something we carry.
(10:02):
It moves us toward the broken, the hurting, the lost.
Your feet are fitted not justto stand but to go.
So where are you being sent?
Who needs the peace you carry?
Who's waiting on the other sideof your obedience?
This week, walk like someone onmission.
Step into your job, your family, your friendships, with the
confidence that you are acarrier of God's peace.
When the ground shakes, yoursteps stay sure.
When voices rise, your soulstays steady.
(10:23):
The world's peace is temporary, circumstantial, fragile, but
God's peace, it's durable,eternal.
It holds under pressure.
So lace up, stand firm, stepforward and let every stride you
take preach the gospel louderthan any sermon.
You're not just walking, you'readvancing the kingdom with
every step.
Now let's talk about defense.
Not just bracing for impact, but deflecting the full weight
(10:45):
of enemy attacks.
Ephesians, chapter 6, verse 16,says in all circumstances, take
up the shield of faith withwhich you can extinguish all the
flaming darts of the evil.
One Flaming darts, not justarrows burning, destructive,
panic-inducing missiles aimed atyour mind, your heart, your
future.
The shield of faith isn'toptional, it's vital.
And the verse says in allcircumstances, meaning this is
(11:10):
an everyday, every hour kind ofweapon In Attack on Titan.
Remember when the scouts wereambushed by the Beast Titans
rock barrage.
Those flying stones torethrough entire battalions.
It wasn't hand to hand, it waslong distance chaos.
That's how the enemy works.
He throws things at you fromfar off Doubt, fear, temptation,
insecurity, discouragement.
They come fast andunpredictable.
Faith is your defense, but notgeneric faith, not positive
thinking, not.
I hope it all works out.
This is faith in the character, power and promises of God.
(11:33):
Hebrews, chapter 11, verse 1,says Now faith is the assurance
of things hoped for, theconviction of things not seen.
Faith is what lets you walkinto the unknown without
crumbling.
It's what lets you keepfighting when you can't see the
outcome.
Faith doesn't mean you're notscared.
It means you move forwardanyway because you trust the one
who goes before you.
Think about the moments whenArmin stepped up.
He wasn't the strongest, hewasn't the most fearless, but
(11:55):
his belief in something great issomething worth dying for, gave
him resolve.
That's faith, not bravado, butboldness rooted in conviction.
The shield of faith is alsoversatile.
In ancient Roman warfare, soldiers could link their
shields together to form a wall.
That means your faith doesn'tjust protect you, it can protect
the person next to you.
That's what the church is meantto be a formation of believers
holding the line together.
(12:15):
Sometimes your faith will feelstrong, other days it might feel
paper thin.
But even mustard seed faith canmove mountains.
Matthew, chapter 17, verse 20,says For truly, I say to you, if
you have faith like a grain ofmustard seed, you will say to
this mountain move from here tothere and it will move, and
nothing will be impossible foryou.
Here's the catch.
You have to pick it up.
Faith is a choice, a discipline.
(12:36):
When flaming dots fly, theshield only works if it's in
your hand, raised high.
And let's be honest, sometimeswe drop it.
We get tired, we get distracted.
We try to fight barehanded, andthat's when the wounds hit.
Faith reminds you what is truewhen your emotions lie.
Faith anchors you when thestorm hits.
Faith gives you vision whenyour eyes can't see.
It's not passive, it's activeresistance.
It's the bold declaration thatGod is who he says he is, even
(12:59):
when circumstances try toconvince you otherwise.
So how do you build it?
Romans, chapter 10, verse 17,says so.
Faith comes from hearing, andhearing through the word of
Christ.
That means, if you want morefaith, you need more word, more
scripture, more truth.
Spoken, sung, prayed, preached.
Start this week by speakingscripture out loud.
When fear rises, when the enemysays you're not enough, you
declare I'm more than aconqueror through him who loved
(13:21):
me.
When doubt whispers, it won'twork.
Respond with.
God is able to do far moreabundantly than all that we ask
or think.
Build a habit of lifting yourshield before the dart even
flies.
Start the day in prayer, saturate your mind in truth and
when those attacks come, youwon't scramble, you'll be ready.
You don't need to have perfectfaith, you just need faith in a
perfect savior.
So grip your shield, link upwith others, face forward and
(13:44):
know this the dots will come, but they don't have to win,
because God didn't leave youexposed.
He gave you armor and thatshield.
That's your front line.
Raise it, trust it, move behindit and don't let go.
Let's talk about your mind, your thoughts, your focus, the
battlefield that most peoplenever see.
That's where the war is oftenwon or lost.
Ephesians, chapter 6, verse 17,begins and take the helmet of
(14:05):
salvation.
This isn't just about gettingsaved.
It's about thinking saved, walking saved, living like
someone whose head is covered bythe victory of Christ.
The helmet protects your head, your mind, your vision.
In combat, a headshot is fatalSpiritually.
The enemy knows that too, so heaims there first your thoughts,
your self-worth, your memories,your fears.
In Attack on Titan, think ofEren's mental journey.
(14:26):
His thoughts spiral.
He questions who he is, why hefights and whether freedom is
even possible.
That mental weight is as heavyas any Titan, but when his mind
is set, when he remembers who heis and what he's called to do,
he moves with terrifying clarity.
That's the power of the helmetof salvation.
It's not about having all theanswers it salvation.
(14:50):
It's not about having all theanswers.
It's about covering your mindwith truth so the enemy can't
hijack your thoughts.
Romans, chapter 12, verse 2,says do not be conformed to this
world, but be transformed bythe renewal of your mind.
Salvation starts in your heartbut transforms your thinking.
It rewires your brain from fearto faith, from lies to truth,
from chaos to clarity.
And that's not automatic.
You got to put the helmet ondaily, deliberately, because
thoseately, because those mentaldots will come.
You'll hear you're not goodenough, you'll never change.
God's done with you.
And in those moments the helmetprotects your focus.
(15:11):
It reminds you you are saved, you are loved, you are sealed,
you are being renewed.
Philippians, chapter 4, verse 8,gives us the filter Whatever is
true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is
pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable.
Think about these things.
This isn't about pretendingproblems don't exist.
It's about choosing what youdwell on, choosing to feed faith
(15:32):
not fear, choosing to alignyour mindset with heaven, not
hell.
Remember Armin in the heat ofbattle, strategizing under
pressure, choosing calm overchaos, that's a helmeted mind,
not tossed by emotion, notderailed by doubt, but steady,
shielded by truth.
So how do you wear the helmet?
Start with decorations.
Speak salvation over your life.
I have been rescued, I amredeemed.
(15:56):
I am not who I was.
Let scripture fill yourheadspace before the world does.
When anxiety hits, counter itwith Psalm 23, verse 1.
The Lord is my shepherd.
I shall not want.
When shame rises.
Remember Isaiah, chapter 1,verse 18, though your sins are
like scarlet, they shall be aswhite as snow.
Your thoughts shape your life,so protect them, guard them,
renew them.
Let's get practical this week.
Track your thoughts, noticewhere your mind drifts when
(16:20):
you're tired, overwhelmed orbored.
Catch the lies early andreplace them with truth.
Don't let the enemy set up campin your mind.
Shut the gates, raise thehelmet, because you weren't made
to walk around mentally exposed.
You were given armor and thehelmet.
That's not optional, it'sessential.
Think like someone saved, reactlike someone secured, live like
someone sealed by the blood ofJesus, because you are.
We've talked about defense, protection, standing your ground
(16:40):
, but now it's time to go on theoffense.
Ephesians, chapter 6, verse 17,ends with and the sword of the
Spirit, which is the word of God, this is the only piece of the
armament for striking back.
Everything else defends thesword advances In attack on
Titan.
The ODM gear includes bladesthat are sharp, replaceable and
designed for close combat.
Titans won't go down with justdefense.
You got the strike at the rightpoint with the right weapon.
(17:02):
Weapon or you lose.
Spiritually, we face the samereality.
You can't block your way tovictory.
You got to speak truth to cutthrough lies.
Hebrews, chapter 4, verse 12,says For the word of God is
living and active, sharper thanany two-edged sword.
It's not just words on a page,it's alive.
It pierces through confusion,it divides truth from falsehood.
It exposes what's really goingon in your heart.
(17:23):
Jesus modeled this perfectly InMatthew, chapter 4, when Satan
tempted him in the wilderness, jesus didn't argue, he didn't
flex, he quoted scripture.
Every time it is written thatwas his sword and the enemy had
no answer.
The word of God isn't adecoration, it's a weapon.
But here's the catch you haveto know how to use it.
If your Bible stays closed, your sword stays sheathed, and a
(17:44):
sheathed sword can't winbattles.
Think about Mikasa.
Her blade work is flawless, notbecause she's lucky, but
because she's trainedRelentlessly.
That's what wielding the wordlooks like studying it,
meditating on it, memorizing it,practicing it.
So when fear strikes, you don'tjust feel, you fight, you say 2
Timothy, chapter 1, verse 7, forGod gave us a spirit not of
fear, but of power and love andself-control.
(18:05):
When temptation hits, you don'tstumble, you strike.
1 Corinthians, chapter 10,verse 13.
No temptation has overtaken you.
That is not common to man.
God is faithful.
When discouragement lingers,you swing back.
Galatians, chapter 6, verse 9.
And let us not grow weary ofdoing good, for in due season we
will reap.
If we do not give up this week, get your sword ready, pick a,
(18:27):
memorize it, speak it daily.
When the moment comes, don'tjust defend, strike and remember
.
This sword isn't for cuttingpeople, it's for cutting lies,
fear, sin and strongholds.
We don't use scripture to shameothers, we use it to set
captives free.
So train with it, trust it,wield it, because God's word
never returns void, it alwayshits its mark.
The battle isn't just aboutsurviving, it's about advancing,
(18:49):
and your sword, the word, ishow you move forward.
We've suited up, we've armedourselves, but Paul doesn't stop
with armor, he closes with themost powerful spiritual weapon
of all prayer.
Ephesians, chapter 6, verse 18,says praying at all times in the
spirit, with all prayer andsupplication To that end.
Keep alert with allperseverance, making
supplication for all the saints.
Prayer is how you stayconnected to headquarters, it's
(19:11):
your lifeline to the commander.
You can have all the gear, butif you're not in communication
you're vulnerable.
In battle, silence can be fatalSpiritually.
The same holds true In attackon Titan.
No matter how skilled a soldieris, the mission fails without
coordination, strategy andawareness.
That's prayer.
It's not a last resort, it'sthe launch point.
It opens the line between yoursoul and your savior.
Prayer sharpens your vision, strengthens your armor,
(19:34):
refreshes your spirit and itkeeps you alert.
The verse says keep alert withall perseverance.
That's a soldier's postureawake, aware, ready, not
distracted, not asleep at thepost.
Think about how often thescouts needed to watch each
other's backs.
One person dozes, the wholeteam suffers In faith.
Your prayers don't just protectyou, they strengthen the whole
church.
It says making supplication forall the saints.
(19:54):
That means intercession, thatmeans covering others.
When you pray, heaven moves.
When you intercede, strongholdscrack.
When you speak, life walls fall.
That's not poetry, it's promise.
James, chapter 5, verse 16,says the prayer of a righteous
person has great power.
As it is working.
Let's get real Prayer isn'talways easy.
Sometimes it feels dry, boring, even pointless.
(20:14):
That's the enemy talking.
He wants you to think yourvoice doesn't matter, but it
does.
Your whispered prayer in thequiet is louder in heaven than
the enemy's roar.
Your consistency is moredangerous to hell than your
volume.
So pray, not just in crisis, notjust in church, but in the car,
the kitchen, the hallway, thebattlefield.
Pray with your words, yourworship, your silence, your
groans.
Romans, chapter 8, verse 26,says likewise.
(20:37):
The Spirit helps us in ourweakness, for we do not know
what to pray for, as we ought.
But the Spirit himselfintercedes for us, with
groanings too deep for words.
You're not praying alone.
The Spirit intercedes, jesusintercedes.
Heaven echoes every syllable.
So don't stop, don't grow weary, don't go quiet.
This week, pray like it matters, because it does.
Set alarms, write names, keep ajournal, intercede for your
(21:00):
church, your family, yourenemies.
Prayer isn't the break from thebattle, it is the battle.
Suit up, yes, but also speak up, declare truth, plead for
breakthrough.
Thank Him in advance.
You were made for this.
A soldier prays, a warriorkneels and a child of God lifts
their voice with boldness.
The armor of God is not justprotection, it's power.
The word is not justinformation, it's a sword.
(21:21):
And prayer is not a chore, it'syour war cry.
So pray at all times, stayalert, stand firm, because when
God's people pray, the gates ofhell don't stand a chance.
So what now?
What do we do with all thisarmor, talk, all these truths
and these powerful images ofwarfare?
Courage and prayer.
We live it.
You don't have to be perfect, you don't have to have it all
figured out, but you do have toshow up Daily, intentionally,
(21:43):
with every piece of God's armorstrapped on, heart aligned,
sword sharpened and voice lifted, because this battle isn't a
one-time event, it's a dailydecision.
A decision to put on truth whenlies feel easier, to choose
righteousness when compromisewhispers, to walk in peace when
anxiety screams, to lift yourshield when darts fly, to guard
your mind when the world triesto steal your focus, to swing
(22:04):
your sword when deception creepsin.
And to pray always.
You were not left defenseless.

given your life to Him.
Now is your moment.

You don't need a building or acrowd, just a willing heart.
If you're ready to say yes toGod, to put on the full armor,
not as a metaphor but as yourreality, then pray this with me.
Father, I admit I've beentrying to fight battles in my
own strength.
I've been wounded, distractedand unprepared, but today I
surrender.
