The Resource Guide is HERE...and it's FREE!
When you get sick, even if it is so sick that you can’t work, dress yourself, or even hold your own head up, the paperwork of life stuff doesn’t pause or wait for you to be clear headed. My condition did not matter, the insurance company wanted their documents. Work and disability wanted their forms and interviews. Doctors and hospitals wanted to be paid. I can honestly tell you that over the last 3 years there have been numerous times when I have had to deal with paperwork of life stuff while unable to take care of even my most basic needs.
Since the beginning I worked with all the doctors, followed all their to-do’s, and even while admitted to the hospital there have been so many times that I have had NO IDEA what was happening! I had no one to ask. I felt ill- equipped, bombarded, completely confused, scared, and never in my life had I felt so alone. I had no idea where to look for help which only made everything seem worse.
I have learned that there are a lot of resources that can help. Patient advocates, financial assistance, medication access, care coordination, and help you find resources to assist with the enormous burden and cost of staying alive. There is help out there, but it can be hard to find. Which is why I created the Chronic Illness & Disability 101 Resource Guide for you, Best part...it's FREE!
Each group or resource I have included are there because either I, or a close friend, has personally used them. There are a million more things I could add, but I wanted to start with groups I knew you could trust and that would be extremely helpful no matter where you are in your journey. This Resource Guide will continue to evolve, and once you have downloaded it, you will receive an updated version any time changes are made.
My goal is to empower you with the resources you need so you can focus on your care, and let others figure out the red tape.
