(00:34):
If you're ready to take yourdating to another level, then
listen up and let's go.
Hello everyone.
Welcome back to another episodeof The Curvy Girl Dating
Podcast.
I'm Cristina Gonzalez and I amThe Curvy Girl Dating Coach.
Today we're gonna dive into areally good one.
The topic today is can AI teachyou how to flirt?

(00:58):
I don't know if you've seenthese new apps or anything, but
they're basically like AIflirting bots, and I am curious
to know if they're helpful, ifthey're harmful, or are they
just weird and creepy?
I've been seeing this trend alot on social media ads, and
they're promising you, to trainyour flirting game and help you

(01:22):
practice with no pressure, norejection, and no awkward
silences.
That's the promise they'reclaiming.
So let's get started.
Let's get into it.
I'm curious, to see where thisis gonna end up going and if
it's gonna improve, keepevolving or if it's gonna die
quickly.
'cause AI is new for all of usand there's some great things to

(01:45):
learn, it's helping us improveour lives, our professional
careers and stuff like that.
But as we're getting to know it,is it great?
Is it bad?
Is it harmful?
All the things.
Same thing with these AIflirting apps.
I'm curious what that's gonna belike, because I just don't think
at this point AI is gonna goaway anytime soon.

(02:06):
And I don't want it to, Ipersonally enjoy using AI tools,
but I think there's aresponsible way of using it.
So let's just get started onthis AI flirting craze.
So there's some apps, that aremarketing themselves as digital
companions.

(02:26):
And they're like AI people thatyou can flirt with.
You can practice texting, youcan go on virtual dates with
them.
Some claim that they help buildconfidence, and others claim
that they're just like a fun, flirty entertainment space.
So it just depends on how theseAI flirting apps are marketing

(02:48):
themselves.
Are they a tool to help youbuild confidence or are they fun
and flirty entertainment onlykind of things?
I went ahead and downloaded onemyself just to see what the
experience was like.
I just couldn't help myself andI wanted to see what it was
like.
I didn't do anything too crazy.
I pretended like I was talkingto someone and that person said

(03:11):
to me,"Hey, what do you wanna dotonight?" And I asked it to
generate an answer for me, andit said,"how about we team up
for a Netflix binge and somepopcorn?
I make the snacks and you bringthe charm." That does not sound
like me at all.
I don't really know how it worksin that detail yet, but I know

(03:33):
that you can upload aconversation that you're having
with someone.
So if you're having aconversation with somebody in
Bumble, you can upload theconversation and it can help you
create these responses.
Again, I don't really know thedetails but I do know that it's
asking a lot of questions, inbetween.
So it says,"Hey, this is theresponse I created for you," and

(03:55):
then it asks, do you want to usethis response or do you want a
response that's funny or wittyor flirty or formal or romantic?
Do you want a short answer, along answer?" And so you can
choose which one you want andit'll regenerate the same reply.
So when it did, basically I didit three times and it came up
with the exact same sentence.
There's not very much variation.

(04:17):
It's very robotic, in myopinion.
How about a Netflix binge?
I'll bring the snacks and youbring that charm of yours." The
second one was,"how about wedive into a Netflix and binge
and I can handle the snackswhile you bring the charm?
And the third one was,"how aboutwe team up for a Netflix binge
and some popcorn?

(04:37):
I can make the snacks and youcan bring the charm." So even
though I asked it for threedifferent styles of responses,
it basically gave me the sameshit.
It didn't impress me so far, butI'm sure if you put more,
intricate conversations inthere, it could get you more
intricate responses.
So again, of course it's how youplay with it.
And I even asked it to createpickup lines.

(05:00):
None of them were for me.
I can't even read them becausethey're a little bit too
"R-rated" for me.
Not that I'm a prude oranything.
They're so lame that they're noteven worthy of a conversation.
How about that?
Okay.
So I downloaded one myself justto see what the experience was
like.
That was my experience.
Okay.
So I get it.

(05:20):
I get the appeal.
It's a cool idea in theory, butfrom what I was looking at very
quickly, I feel like there'sgonna be a lot lacking, but we
can get into it later.
It was just a quick littleexperiment that I tried, so I
still don't necessarily have alot of experience with it, but
just from viewing it for a fewminutes.

(05:41):
I appreciate the idea and Ithink it's cool in theory, but I
am not quite sure I could seeit, as a real tool.
So, it's appealing because youcan type whatever you want.
The AI never judges you.
They always have a response andthey always find you
fascinating.
They think that you're thisgreat person.

(06:02):
So of course they're pretendingto be interested.
It's a bot, that's what it wasbuilt for, right?
So it's like you're on a datewith someone that's never gonna
ghost you.
And it sounds like a great idea, but it gets a little sticky,
right?
It's not perfect right now atall.
So for a lot of women that Iwork with, dating already feels

(06:26):
hard.
There's this fear of rejection, the insecurity, the awkwardness,
you name it.
So flirting with a bot can feellike a safe alternative, but a
chance to test the waters beforeputting yourself out there.
But I do wanna challenge it justa little bit because here's the
thing, AI might make you feelless nervous.

(06:48):
But it can also keep you lessconnected.
These bots are designed to giveyou perfect responses.
They flirt back exactly how youwant them to.
They will never say anythingunexpected, but real dating and
real flirting, it's messy, it'svulnerable.
And honestly, that's what makesit real.

(07:08):
If you're using a tool.
That can't hurt your feelings, you're never actually going to
practice emotional courage.
You are never going to feelcourage without feeling
vulnerability.
You're never going to feel happywithout feeling sadness.
You are never gonna practiceemotional courage and warm your

(07:30):
brain up to having conversationswith people when you're just
using a bot.
You know it's gonna respond toyou.
The part of dating that's thefrustrating part is all of that
emotion, so you can write backthis bot.
And then they can write you backa response that you wanna hear.

(07:51):
But if you use that sameconversation and you put it to a
real human, that person mightnot respond immediately.
They might be working, theymight have a life they have,
might have things to do.
They might be totally into you, maybe they're not, and this is
where it gets crazy, right?
Because you're not gonna getthat response immediately and
you don't really know whatthey're gonna say.

(08:12):
And if they say somethingoffputting on the app.
Your brain is instantly gonnasay,"oh, it's just a bot so I
can just manipulate what I wantto hear or what I wanna teach
it." And you can't really dothat with a human.
So if you get something that youdon't wanna hear in response,
you can't just manipulate itinto getting something that you

(08:36):
want to hear.
But that's not a real world wayto look at things basically.
In real world connection andhaving that, emotional chase or
whatever, that you have thosefeelings that you actually have
when you're dating.
They're non-existent in the app.

(08:56):
So it can also lead to reinforcethis deeper belief that maybe
you're not good enough for thereal thing and like a real
relationship, but you're onlygood enough for only the app
fantasy game.
Like this is really unhealthybecause, think about it.
I'm just saying, it could be aslippery slope.
Having an emotional relationshipthat you're creating with a bot,

(09:21):
like people can get really intoit.
You know what I mean?
And I think you have to bestrong enough of a person to
know that this is a tool versusthis is really gonna act like a
real world situation.
Because if you really use itlike it's a real world
situation.
It's gonna create those feelingsand it's not human, if that

(09:42):
makes any sense.
So when you go to the realhuman, how is it gonna work when
it's not doing exactly what youwant it to, and you're getting
all these, responses that you'renot expecting.
Of course, you have this tool, but it's not you.
So whenever you meet that personin real life, you're not gonna
match and vibe with them becauseyou're not creating a true,
authentic connection.

(10:03):
You are good enough and worthyenough for a real human
connection and the rightrelationship you're looking for.
So just know again that there'sa separation between AI and
reality.
So, how can AI help?
Like where can it help you?
I'm not here to bash on AIbecause I love learning about

(10:26):
AI.
I love learning about how I canuse it in my personal and
professional life, but let's notforget, I am a coach and I'm not
a tech snob.
As much as I do enjoy learningabout new technologies and
learning how to use new thingsto make my life easier.
I still know that there's adifference.
It can help you by learning howto initiate conversation.

(10:46):
So I think it could be a goodinitiation starter, but not,
anything beyond surface levelconversations.
I think it's a great way topractice flirting without fear.
It's just a way to practiceknowing that you can have a
playful banter and it's notgonna be as scary.

(11:07):
The more muscle memory that youhave, the more time you practice
conversing with this bot, it'sjust practice knowing that you
can have conversations.
But the key is guidance and notdependence.
You should never be relying onAI to tell you what to say, but
using it to help you learn howto start conversations is the

(11:29):
way to go.
Ultimately, you should belearning to trust your own
voice, your own rhythm, your owntiming, and your own vibe.
And that's what I teach.
Right now I'm actually exploringways to use AI with my clients.
Not instead of coaching, obviously, but alongside it.
So I'm not mad at it.

(11:50):
I'm not mad at these AI flirtingtools.
I think they're prettyinteresting so far.
But if they help reduce anxietyand it helps you build some
baseline comfort, then I don'tsee what's wrong with that.
It's a way to just help youpractice a little bit.
Just getting rid of that anxietyand knowing that it's okay that

(12:11):
you have a conversation.
Again, keeping in mind, realityand AI.
I'm working on this webinar, andit's gonna be about real dating
and AI dating apps and how toincorporate it to make you a
better dater.
We'll talk about details as itcomes along.
Right now I'm just in theoutline version of creating this

(12:33):
webinar, so stay tuned for that.
But right now I'm coming up withthis five Cs of real flirting
method.
and again, in the webinar we'llgo through it more, but, the
five Cs of real flirting wouldbe.
Confidence over scripts.
That's one.
You don't need to have theperfect line.

(12:54):
You just need to know thatyou're enough.
Have the confidence to know thatthese are scripts, they're
words.
And you have to have theconfidence to utilize the words
in a real human fashion, andcreate that real human
connection.
So confidence over scripts.
You don't need the perfect line, just be yourself.

(13:14):
Communication with soul.
When you're getting to knowsomeone, you flirt a little bit,
right?
Flirting with someone doesn'thave to be sexy or weird.
Flirting is an honest, playfulconversation.
And AI can't substitute theauthentic connection that you
want to create.

(13:35):
C number three is curvy centricworthiness.
Curvy centric worthiness is whenyou are not working to overcome
being plus size, right?
Like you're not trying to makeup for your body, you're not
trying to be extra sweet to makeup for your body size, things
like that, right?

(13:55):
You don't have to flirt from aplace of neediness.
You don't have to prove thatyou're good enough to anybody.
Curvy centric worthiness is thebelief that your body, your
presence, and your personalityare the full package.
So that's what that is.
Number four would be consent andcalibration.

(14:17):
You learn to read energy andrespond to people in a way that
feels aligned.
So when you're in these apps, you have that limitation.
There is no, energy that you'rereading in these comments that
you're getting through the AIapp.
You can't judge emotions from abot.

(14:38):
Real flirting helps you readpeople in a real way, versus if
you're just using a bot andtexting.
It's always hard to text andunderstand, people's energy and
vibes in text, conversationswith real humans.
So with a bot, I can imagineit'd be even worse.

(14:58):
Connection over creation.
You want to know that AIconversations lack truth and
authenticity.
You don't wanna sit and curatethese perfect conversations that
you're having with somebody andtake all this time to make this
perfect conversation flow on anAI bot.

(15:20):
You wanna have a realconversation with somebody and
have a real connection.
You just need to show up how youare and not try to be this
perfect person.
Don't create all these filtersfor yourself that you do when
you're practicing on an app orwhen you're practicing a text
message too, and you rewrite thesame thing over and over again.
Show up how you are and createthe connection that you want.

(15:43):
Don't overthink it.
Real flirting helps you buildrelationships, not just
conversations.
Whereas all of these, AI appsare just creating conversations.
Authenticity and connection arenot there.
You can't replicate it.
I think using these AI tools canhelp you reduce fear, but only

(16:04):
if you pair it with self-trust,emotional safety, and real world
practice.
So a combination of both I thinkis okay.
So can an app teach you how toflirt?
Maybe, but only if you alreadyknow how to love your voice,
your energy, and walk into aroom like you are the damn

(16:28):
prize, because you are.
You still have to be able tocreate that for yourself.
I'll share more about details ofthe live webinar soon, and I'll
walk you through all of that inmore depth whenever I do that.
We will learn how to flirtsmarter, use AI with intention,
and learn how to build realmagnetic energy and real

(16:52):
conversations with people versusa computerized bot.
So how do you meet in themiddle?
We're gonna learn all of thatkind of thing in the webinar.
It's gonna be awesome.
I'm super excited.
I just wanna do a little bitmore research while I am
creating this webinar.
I'll make sure that I let youknow as soon as I get it done.
If you are interested, sign upfor my email list because you'll

(17:14):

in getting any of my offers.
So that's it for now.
Thank you so much for listeningto this podcast.
I'm so interested in.

(17:36):
Hearing about your experiences,if you've experienced using
these apps, if it's beensuccessful for you, if it's
totally ruined a goodconversation that you've had
with somebody, tell me about allthe great stories and the bad
stories.
I wanna hear'em all.
So feel free to send me amessage and tell me about your
experience with AI flirtingapps.

(17:56):
thank you so much for listeningand we will chat next time.
