(00:02):
In a nasty evening that at thelink just filled with play after play after
play after play, and a comebackthat of course, had the Philadelphi Eagles
come out on top my final scoreof thirty seven to thirty four with a
win over the Buffalo Bills, whereJosh Allen might have played his best game,

(00:24):
one of the best games I've everseen him play. Dude looked unbelievable
out there. But Jake Elliott, man, the dude is just He's a
legend. He's a legend. Andas much as I love David Acres,
and I think it was fitting, how funny it was that David Acres was
passed by Brandon Graham for the alltime starts in Philadelphi Eagles history, and

(00:48):
maybe that conversation was up there fora little while, and we loved David
Acres on this station, but JakeElliott is just a different stratosphere with the
big kicks that he's made and inhis Eagles uniform picked up off of the
Cincinnati Bengals practice squad, Thank youCincinnati for that. Back in twenty seventeen,
was it, I want to say, for the Super Bowl run?

(01:10):
Yeah, something like that. Thisguy is insane. I know. Look,
we could all wax poetic about jonErtz. We can go in about
Syria Hi, we can talk whateverwe want. That kick was amazing,
the kick. The kick deserves alot of intention. Starts and ends with
the kick, right. It's gotto be frustrating as hell for teams.
By the way, is not onlyis every Eagles possession essentially a first and

(01:33):
nine. It's not first and ten, it's first to nine. They can
they can convert a thirty one orfourth and one ninety four percent of the
time. Oh yeah, their kickerin a cold, rainy game can hit
a fifty nine yard field goal shun. They can score from almost anywhere.
It's incredible. That's for a teamto have that capability of scoring on almost

(01:53):
every drive possible, that is insane. And Eagles do that. And that's
got to be straight as hell forany defense. We talk about it a
lot in basketball, but the Eagleswin on the margins. Like you think
about the little things that people don'tthink about when they're really building a team,
And it is the fact that wehave first to nine every time.

(02:14):
It is the fact that our kickeris just as reliable as they come.
In the National Football League. Whenit comes to big spots, it comes
to big moments, Sure, hemight miss a thirty seven yarder every now
and then, yeah, and you'relike, wait, what what just happened?
But when it comes to the bigmoments, when it comes to hitting
fifty nine yarders, Jake Elliott neverhad a doubt. Okay, Mark Henry

(02:38):
was Mark Henry Jr. Of course, with us here on a Monday,
it's always great to have you.Mark. John Jans's gonna be here for
a little bit. Then he's goingto head to Jersey for the All Pro
Green Legion Show coming your way atsix pm. Mark Henry Junior was at
the Link yesterday braved the elements manmiserable, miserable time down there. I'll

(02:59):
tell you a straight up. Iused to enjoy those those types of games.
Really, No, not anymore. Those days are long. God.
I was on the couch, Itook a picture of my image shorts.
I was eating ice cream and Isent it ice cream? What'd you have?
Ten roof Sunday Turkey? Beautiful?Great choice? Yeah, Mark Henry
Jr. Did you think he wasmaking that kick? Yeah? I did.

(03:21):
I honestly did what did it looklike was it pouring? Take us
through that moment. It never relentedat any point of the game, honestly,
like the rain. There were momentswhere it lessened a little bit,
but it never wasn't at a steadyrain like. There were moments where it
was pouring as opposed to that, but at that moment, it was about
a steady rain like. It wasabout the same spot it was for the

(03:43):
rest of the game. He hadmade a couple I guess extra points to
that point, so he had gottena couple of chances to get out there
and kick in the conditions. Wehad a guy next to us, a
season ticket holder next to us,and he was you know, older and
older gentleman, and he was sosure that we were screwed that you know,
there was no way you can makea fifty nine yard er in the

(04:04):
rain. That it actually made mea little bit more confident. I feel
like, I feel like the oldergeneration is like they still are like a
forty five yard field goal, that'stough. But these kickers nowadays, I
mean, it's unbelieving. He hadthat was easy from sixty five. That
was that was good from I wasabout to say sixty is the new fifty.
I heard that's what nance said,right. I didn't watch the game

(04:25):
on the broadcast, but lucky,I know, I know. I don't
want to tell you. I'm gladthat I got saved. I still I
don't think was that. I thoughtI thought he was calling some some good
plays, and you know, Ithink he was honest about stuff and even
everybody's break he's braved. The onethat was really said fake a field goal.

(04:45):
That was the one that was thatwas the one that was really bad.
That one was awful. But hewas calling like, oh, Eagles
are going to do a QB drawhere, like this the line, the
alignment that they're getting, they're goingto run it, and the Eagles did
so like he was getting things right. It's just that he's he said that.
Oh no, now I forget. You can't defend my co host,
Shane Half, who I don't reallythink of as someone who's like the hot

(05:08):
takey Eagles fan or getting upset withannouncers very often, and I I'm the
opposite. I I get upset withannouncers. I'm picked up with it.
I'm picky with announcers. I don'tI'm definitely picky with announcing shout out to
you. What was his name? The TNT guy, Brian Johnson, Brian
and perfectly fun. He was incredible. Brian Anderson the same guy on the

(05:30):
on the Hawks game on TNT,and he's like, Oh, Philly fans,
first fan based I ever really beupselling me. I don't know what
the problem would be. Oh,maybe it's the fact that you're on a
Turner broadcasting station. React what Idon't know. You said that it was
on the Hawks six. Had somebrain farts in every game and some are
just look the others. Last nightyesterday was more of that, but it's

(05:53):
all good. Look Eagles win thatgame, and now everybody. The big
talking point right now is when isthat luck? Well, right now,
there's two talk points. One iseventually that luck's got to run out,
right or is this just more ofhey, good team to find a way
to win, Which I'm kind ofin that category more than anything. But
these numbers are alarming. Just gettingout gained, you know, you really

(06:15):
got you gotta limit that. Youknow, eventually some of these good teams
are gonna get you in and ofcourse these games are gonna be more and
more down the stretch here. Thesecond thing is, of course, the
points spread for the upcoming game againstthe forty nine ers. We'll get into
that one a little bit later, but just a general question to you guys,
John, I'll start with you onthis one. Is it alarming to
you that, you know, what, Buffalo comes in here and goes for

(06:36):
over five hundred. They go upagainst the kan City Chiefs, you know,
they give it up. The Cowboyswere able to get a ton of
yards, the Commanders were able todo it in the second half against them,
but the Eagles won every one ofthose games. So, like,
that's where I'm at. I'm moreon the side of like, hey,
championship team find a way to wina game. Whether it's ace, a

(07:00):
seventeen fourteen stinky game or a thirtyseven thirty four shootout. The good teams
find a way to win a game. So where are you at with that
one? Yeah? It's fascinating becauseyou know, there's analytics like DVOA that
have the Eagles and I saw thisjust post it today, the third worst
DVOA for a ten to one team. So you're gonna hear a lot of
this. This is gonna be anexcellent battle of the nerds and the non

(07:24):
nerds. It's gonna be awesome, and I think the Eagles right now proving
all of that wrong. It couldend up backfiring though. Right they're not
playing great football right now. Yousay, Okay, they're playing well enough
to win and they can get better, but what if it doesn't. I
think those questions. I think it'scertainly fair to ask those But my problem
with using that type of metric isyou can really pile up those numbers like

(07:47):
dvoa stuff against really bad teams. And the Cowboys are a good example of
that. Cowboys aren't the best teamin football, but DVOA is making them
out to be one of the best. The Eagles have had a brutal schedule,
really tough. Kansas City is atough defense. Buffalo's defense banged up
a little bit, but that's stillokay defense. Even Miami is a decent
defense. You know, all theseteams that they're playing, and San Francisco

(08:09):
is gonna be great. San Franciscois an amazing defense. It's you're you're
not gonna have incredible numbers once they'regoing up against those teams every single week.
And for the past five at leastthree to four weeks, they've been
playing some of the best defense inthe league, including the Jets as well,
which they lost to, So thatI can't take those numbers into account

(08:30):
and think, well, it's gotto be an alarming issue when I'm seeing
other teams pile up those numbers againstmuch worse competition. Well, yeah,
the nerds are out there, andI saw I saw a stat I've never
heard this noise noise noise canceling score. Yeah, it's a matter with these
people. I don't know what youguys are are celebrating. The Eagles might
have and they might have won thefootball game, but they lost the noise

(08:52):
affected score last night. So really, who's the real winner here? That
shout out to PFF move What thehell is that? Yeah? That was
crazy. I don't know what thatis. I mean, you look analytics,
and those type of numbers do havea place, but there's gotta be
that can't be your only way oflooking at things with the Eagles. You
have to realize again the schedule, competition, but even with maybe not playing

(09:16):
their best, the fact that theirmargin for error is so large compared to
other teams because it feels like Buffalocouldn't make a mistake, and if they
make just a few mistakes, it'sover because the Eagles can. You know,
I pointed the example of the Zakiascatch right before that, though two
plays negative five yards, third andfifteen, you're almost even. I don't

(09:39):
know if they were out of fieldgoal range, but it was a much
tougher field goal because of the negativeplays and you're at a third and fifteen,
you go, well, most teamsprobably don't convert this, they get
a field goal, it's three points. What Hurts does is because he's talented
than anybody else, or he's astalented as most, he can roll out,
he can throw that ball to Zekias, the Keys makes an incredible catch,
and the Eagles have seven. Likemost teams can't operate like that,

(10:01):
but Eagles are so talented they can, and so even when they're not playing
their best. It just shows thetalent gap between the Eagles and the rest
of the league. It is avery big talent gap. And I've heard
a couple people, my buddy DylanWilkerson on Twitter has really been, you
know, harping on the Eagles arelucky for two months now and people the
Philly Yeah, there's a number forthat too, Yeah, it's there is.

(10:22):
There's like a luck percentage. Ithink, Yeah, these luck rankings
that actually work put out and youknow what, I get that he's pointing
to it and he says, WHOA, Well, the Giants and the Vikings
did this last year and everyone realizedthat it was a lucky year and we
all called them frauds the whole year. Why don't we do the same with
the Eagles? Yeah, well, guess what the Giants had Daniel Jones,

(10:45):
correct, the Eagles have Jalen Hurts. And those were two teams that had
never done it before with first yearhead coaches coming up out of nowhere.
The Philadelphia Eagles, this is histhird year under Nick Sirianni. They made
the playoffs the first year when nobodyexpected them to. They won this super
Bowl. Last year when they wereexpected to be, you know, a
nine to ten win fringe contender, not a Super Bowl contender. They were
expected to compete for the playoffs. They went to the Super Bowl in dominating

(11:09):
fashion to get there through the NFC. And then this year people everyone was
talking about, you know, thisschedule it's gonna be a little bit of
a You know, people were predictingDallas to win the division, and people
were predicting a letdown year. Noone ever repeats as the Super Bowl loser.
Here we are sitting at ten toone, and those people are making
the same excuses two weeks ago aboutthe Chiefs. I'm hearing about style points.

(11:33):
You know how many times? Youknow how many games Patrick Mahomes has
played in as a starter in theregular season, John Jansen and Sean Brace
tell me he's played. He's played. Let me get the exact number here.
I should have had it ready beforeI did that. Ninety one.
He's played ninety one games. Youknow how many times Patrick Mahomes has lost
in those ninety one games? Nineteen. You can't ever complain and you can't

(11:56):
ever pick apart a win when youwere one of the nineteen losses that Patrick
Mahomes has had in his entire career. And then a week later in the
rain, sleet and snow with Buffalogoing eighty percent or whatever they did on
third and fourth down and Josh Allen, by the way, and my number
one takeaway from that game, honestly, is that Josh Allen is relentless.

(12:18):
He's a beast. That guy isterrifying on third down in a way that
like only really like he's got acan't rhyme Aaron he is. He's just
chaos. He throws and bad ways. He throws at the hardest out of
anybody. I think he might havethe best arm of the league. Yeah,
yeah, make sure you mute yourmic on the stream yard too,
Yeah, Mark, if you wantto mind, I guess I could have

(12:39):
done that anyways. But yes, yeah, like he's he's incredible. That's
why I always hated Look you arewhat you are, right, like when
he makes terrible mistakes and he hadthat game against the Jets. There was
another game this year where it's justlike, dude, like where is that
guy at man? Where's the guythat went toe to toe with Mahomes in
Arrowhead? You know, like thatguy's dude. That was a throwback that

(13:03):
felt like nineteen fifties NFL. Youknow where he was. He was treating
the Eagles defense like they were Divisiontwo out there. No disrespect the Division
two teams. But yeah, itwas really ugly Wyoming against exactly. But
for all of that, for allof that to happen, for Josh Allen
to have the game he did,for them to have the efficiency they did
on third and fourth down, forthem to have the drive at the end

(13:26):
of the first half, for themto get the news right before game that
one of the ten to fifteen mostimpactful players that aren't a quarterback in the
NFL, and Lane Johnson maybe evenless than that, maybe five to ten
most impactful players in the NFL wasout all of a sudden. No one
knew that was gonna happen, andthen it bubbled up day of where he's
out and you still go and youhandle your business and you come back and

(13:50):
you win that game. I thinkpeople ignore a lot of nuance when we
get into these conversations where it's like, oh, how many times can they
keep doing this? And it's like, yeah, but if you look at
each game, there's a lot youcan figure out why it's happening, and
in this game, you can figureout why it happened, and you know,
people are grouping in that Dallas winwith these other four. They were
up twelve points with like seven minutesto go in that game or nine minutes

(14:13):
to go. They were grossly outplaying Dallas for eighty five percent of that
game, and Dallas played well forthe last ten minutes and we turned into
the thing. We were too conservativeon defense and on offense on both sides
of the ball there, and italmost came back to bite us, and
it still didn't. So like theyjust find ways to win. And it's
not at all concerning to me longterm that this isn't sustainable because we haven't

(14:39):
even put together a full game. We're two games We're two games up on
every team in the NFL. Yeah, that's what's really going through my mind.
With this forty nine Ers game comingup. It's just like, all
right, they're still in a greatposition no matter what, because yeah,
you have to get the overall one. You have to yeah all this season.
Like I'm not worried about going onthe road and beating anybody, but
it's just a different, a differentyou know element to go into San Francisco

(15:05):
or Detroit or Dallas, whatever itwould be. Uh, it's for an
NFC championship game versus coming here. And twenty seventeen it opened my eyes.
Of course last year I think itreally you know, slammed it home even
more so and it's just difficult towin on the road and in that in
that moment, so you gotta getthe ones, even they're in a great
spot to do so. And that'swhere I stand right now, Like I

(15:26):
don't get caught up in the factthat Josh Allen tore this defense up.
A little concerned about the injuries, waiting to hear some more about that.
Fletcher Cox with the groin, that'snot good. You know, Jordan Davis
got dinged up. I'm not sureif he came back in twenty yards?
Yeah, and that was it.Yeah, that was it. He went
down those twenty yards. Very true. He's touch the guy. What are

(15:50):
we talking about, Josh quarterback? So we're giving him credit for running.
I mean I've seen I've seen quarterbackssay, Josh Allen bull away from those
guys all the time. That's great, Jordan David hustle. That was a
great play to him. Have youever forced him out of bounds? Had
come over and force them, JohnJansen, Mark, have you ever seen

(16:11):
the movie Muana but Maui. It'sa great movie. That's my daughter's won,
right. So there's a little chickenand Maui grabs it. He says,
boat snack. That's what That's whatJordan Davis would do to you.
He grabbed you. That's fine.If the guy, if they drafted the
guy I wanted them to draft from, Jordan Davis would be sitting here with
a Super Bowl ring. We'd betalking about Can we repeat? That's how

(16:33):
simple it is. And that wasKyle Hamilton. Yeah, Kyle. Anybody
watched the game last night, Kyle, he was great on the feet.
That's I think Jordan Davis plays twentysnaps. I think he's taking away how
many games? How many STAPs didhe play? Someone get me the snaps
there, because I think did Isee sixty five percent? I thought I
saw that number? That would bereally impressive. I don't think he's ever

(16:56):
played. Part of the reason whythat was, though, is they also
they were short defensive tackles because ofInjurieslton Williams was out as well. Yes,
true, I'd be interested to seethat also shows a snap count because
they rotate a lot, but theyrotate all the time. The other thing
I'd say about that is, like, I mean, I don't think he
made an impact on a single passrush play in that game. But besides

(17:17):
that, James they had they hadone drive Buffalo. Again, I'm on
Sean's side. I'm not concerned thatBuffalo did anything to us defensively. That's
the toughest quarterback you're gonna see. He's a tougher quarterback than anyone we're going
to see in the NFC so orthe rest of the way in general,
unless we get to the Super Bowl. So taking that aside, James Cook,
at one point they had three straightplays where they just ran the ball

(17:38):
up the middle and they got thirtysix yards. Jordan Davis was on the
field for all three of those.Jordan Davis, if you're I don't know
why I'm turning this into a JordanDavis. My problem is, Jordan Davis
gets talked about more than ninety percentof the players on the Eagles defense.
And he's not a top five playeron the Eagles defense. I don't know
if he's top seven. Like,he's not a top four defensive lineman.

(18:00):
Yeah on the Eagles. That's that'sfair. I mean he gets talking about
more than Josh Wett. Josh Wetis like one of the top ten.
You're right, you're right about that. Yeah, well, you know,
hopefully he can bring a little bitmore if he's called upon, because these
injuries definitely, you know, arealarming at this point in time. But
long way Togo, just to whata great game, and I'm not ready
to hit the fast horrorball and geton over to that forty nine ers game

(18:22):
because I got to continue to talkabout it. Let's talk about the quarterback
here. Yeah, and Jalen Hurtsand just how special of a leader he
is and that will to win,and and and his reaction when Jake Elliot
hits that that field goal and hewas just like, what was he saying
there? What was he saying toBrian Johnson? Because people were like,
oh, I would look killed tobe a fly in the wall there.
I don't know. I just thinkhe was kind of disappointed with the way

(18:45):
that final drive played out and theygot really lucky. Yeah, it's extremely
lucky. You know. It's kindof an interesting thing. I was talking
about this to actually my dad today. I was calling him yelling about the
game, talking about this. Dowe think so we're all yelling at Brian
Johnson on Twitter and we're all mad, We're all yelling at him. Some
are yeah, yeah, me,No, I think you were the one

(19:07):
who had the tweet where you saidthe same QB drawl that everyone gets upset
about. You know, he callsit at the end in Jalen scores the
game winning touchdown. That's so there'san interesting dynamic here where you see some
of these drives that Brian Johnson callsand you're like, what are what are
we doing? Like, what arethese some of these screen presses, what
are some of these calls? Theyseem non competitive? So some of those
some of those attempts, and thenyou see the drive to get the field

(19:29):
goal at the end of regulation, you know, picture perfect, before the
before the fall starts the drive justthe second halftime very good. So are
we saying that Brian Johnson is tooconservative to start games? Are we saying
Jalen starts to check out a placeand starts audibling at the line more down
the stretch. Are we saying Nickis stepping in at halftime maybe and directing

(19:52):
the offense a little bit and saying, here's what we gotta do. What
is happening. First, first thingI want to do is this. I
want to give credit to the otherside. I was gonna say, I
think I think McDermott is a isA is a good defensive mind, right,
Okay, And and so you knowBrian Johnson's working through the King.
My biggest gripe with him is this, he calls some brain dead plays.

(20:15):
Yeah, like the Titans screen toJulio, Dude, come on, man,
what was that? What? Whatis going on there? The bubble
screens back to back? And Iget it. The totality is what like
after the game is over, I'mlike, yeah, you all gotta everybody's
got to relax a little bit here. But in that moment, I'm right
there with you, going, man, that was a terrible play call.

(20:36):
So he's not perfect, but man, he's got a knack for knowing what
to do with this offense. Butfrom what I've seen, he's far better
than some, you know, Iwould say half the league. When I
look around some offensive structure, it'sjust horrible. So he's he's good.
Yeah, he does have some playsthat I I just don't think are called
right. I think the beginning ofthe game was more grecious than anything,

(20:56):
starting off with three straight pass playswhen you have your right who was essentially
you know, a backup right tackleand not lane Johnson, and that hurt
them because there was pressure immediately. Now, the thing is Jack Driskell started
to really I think, settle inas the game went along, and he
ended up having a pretty good game, and I think even Nick Sirianni pointed
that out in the post game. So, I mean, Driscoll ended up

(21:17):
playing well. But for the startthough, for your backup right tackle to
be just thrown to the Wolves, that was rough. But other than that,
you know, I look, theQB draw is it's high school ish,
it's very weird, but it's donewith a purpose. It is a
CounterPunch to how teams are playing theEagles. Yeah, you know, that's
That's one thing I like about BrianJohnson is they do seem to have an
understanding of how whenever teams do somethingto them, and teams have been able

(21:40):
to find some ways to stop theEagles, but there always seems to be
a CounterPunch to it. There's alwaysseems to be that play or a drive
where Brian Johnson says, oh,you're gonna show us that look again,
I got you this time. Thatis encouraging to me that Brian Johnson is
able to identify those things and thenattack it. And again it's mostly to
me. I look at it asa counter punch and the QB draw CounterPunch.

(22:00):
The team's blitzing the Eagles a tonrecently the last I mean, they've
been showing them zero blitz coverages alot this season. And so the counter
to that is the hyper aggressiveness gothrough. Have the pass rushers come in
and have Jalen Hurts, one ofthe best athletes to quarterback, to easily
find a link. The thing I'mconcerned about, are not even concerned.
Concern is not the right word.I'm not concerned. But the thing I'll

(22:22):
say is, and you mentioned it, Spags a great defensive mind, and
this week, you know, theygive credit to those sides, but they
there's the same side that they werein the first half that they were in
the second half, and you comeon the second half and you dice them
up. I mean, there's somany drives there where they look fantastic.
There's part of me that does thinksomething's going on behind the scenes that were
not aware of, whether that beNick stepping in and directing a little bit

(22:45):
more and making halftime adjustments and you, hey, you can do glass half
full, glass half empty, whereglass half empty. We can't keep starting
slow like this and putting ourselves inthis whole glass half full. Like Jansen
said, you know, they're identifyingwhat's happening to them and coming up with
a counter strike to that. Andthat's definitely something you need. I mean,
how many coaches can you say likethey just don't make good halftime adjustments.

(23:07):
And but I will say the factthat these things happen in the clutch
moments of the game, where theoffense opens up and they start making these
play calls that you don't feel likeyou're seeing for the rest of the game,
it does start making me think thatJalen is checking into that. Because
you heard the quote from Nick twoweeks ago towards the end of the game,
that deep ball to DeVonta Smith.Yeah, that was checked into by

(23:30):
Jalen. That was supposed to bea run play, and Jalen saw something
and did that. Maybe that's happeningmore often than we think. And I
guess I should say that's a goodthing if we're saying that our quarterback is
seeing those things. But I guessit concerns me that it almost feels like
Jalen. If that's true. Itfeels like Jalen's going along with the play
the game plan in the first halfand it's like not working and he's like,
all right, I'll kind of gooff on my own and try a

(23:52):
couple of these things. Obviously acouple of those improvd runs on passing plays
that were not designed quarterback runs, and it feels like some of that I
almost just wish Jalen took over earlier, Like I guess, I don't know
what the you know, none ofus know exactly what the yeah, I
go, you mean, I stillwould give Brian Johnson credit for that,
because that's implementing that part of theaudit. It's giving him the option to

(24:15):
if you see this certain look, and I'm pretty sure that's what happened on
the touchdown run. They saw theysaw a look and then I think my
a lotta said it that they hadthree guys go over to the DeAndre Swift
shifting. If you see stuff likethat, Yeah, it's good that it
is implemented into the offense. Hereis this option to if you see something
go the other way and be ableto score on a play like that.

(24:36):
You know that that to me isalways credit offensive coordinator. So now we
have John Jansen. It's like theAngel and the Devil on John Jansen's shoulder.
We have the angel, which tellsyou that that Brian Johnson's doing a
good job. But I bet youthat John Jansen wasn't feeling that way at
halftime when DeAndre Swift hadn't touched theball yet. Yeah, that was there
was a question. I think thefirst half that was that was probably I
know that we've been talking about somesituations where he hasn't called right, maybe

(24:57):
fourth down place things like that, the rbu right, I think. I
think in the first half that wasmaybe one of his worst halves so far.
He's had some bad ones, butthat one was really bad. That
was the first time I could Icould say legitimately, oh that wasn't good.
But the Swift is just when hegets the rock and that second half
it was it was crazy. It'slike, why did it take this long

(25:21):
to get him involved? Kyle KyleBrant said it on Good Morning Football Today.
He said, there's no one inthe NFL with cleaner cuts than DeAndre
Swifter. I agree, And yousee that run in what was it overtime
irregular. I think it was overtimeright, the big run that he had
that got us down in the scoringposition. I mean he cuts on two
dimes. Mitchell has some nice cuts. Yeah, he's nice cuts, but

(25:41):
no Swift has been doing it andhe is a difference maker. Get him
involved erely. Yeah, I thinkit's just Brian Johnson needing to because I
think with Cam Jurgens out and especiallythey weren't running the ball well, they
kind of just went away from it. It wasn't working. The running game
wasn't working at all, and sothey they went away. But teams,
I mean teams ad just and Ithink Brian Johnson needs to adjust it.
The running game is starting to worka little bit more now, you can

(26:03):
trust it more than you previously inprevious weeks where it wasn't working and it
was getting you in bad situations. Now I think he has to trust it
a little bit more and swift morebecause it's working again. And look,
Jorgen's making huge difference. It isfun watching him and Jason Kelce next to
each other. Man. Those guysare just brutally just physical inside there and

(26:25):
it's awesome to see. So Ijust think he needs to make that adjustment
to run the ball. And it'sfunny because you left out Landon Dickerson on
the inside. Landon Dickerson's great LandonDickerson. I for a long time I
said Josh Schwet's the most underrated playerin the NFL, And I think now
nationally, Sweat's starting to get alittle more attention. You're starting to see
a couple of jerseys even in thestands was Sweat on him. So I
think he's starting to get more attention. Dickerson never gets talked about. He's

(26:48):
one of the best guards in football. He's a big part of that push
push. Everyone talks about Kelsey, everyone talks about Jalen Jurgens, and especially
Dickerson because usually goes to that side. Dickerson's a huge part of that.
You know, that's another how heyou know, we all talk about the
big how he moves, like draftingDeVante, trading for aj, drafting Jalen,
all those things. We got LandonDickerson in the second round. The

(27:10):
Eagles took a chance because the guywasn't able to stay healthy at Alabama.
But if he was a healthy prospect, he would have been a top ten
pick, no doubt about it.But we were able to get that discount,
and how he was able to beton it and say, you know
what, I'll bet on the elitetalent and hope he can stay healthy.
Just another bet that how he madethat's paid off. And I mean it's
there's so many now you can youwatch every game and you just every there's

(27:33):
end of fifteen guys you can pointout and be like thanks Howie, and
he might not be done just yet. No, it's not a draft pick,
but it's a linebacker that's out thereand they might need him if if
they can get him under the payroll. I last I read Barrett or excuse
me, it's uh Leonard, thankyou. He took something there. They
did something with a contract, soit's not really all that expensive this year.

(27:56):
So apparently all the teams can signhim. He's just gonna have his
pick. Why we you not wantto come play for the Philadelphia Eagles with
Jalen Hurts as your leader? Becauseman, this dude and shout out till
bro dude, because he was like, you got you gotta catch Kyle Hurt.
He's gonna go off on jale Hurtsand he did. It was perfect.
Jalen Hurts is just as good asit gets here, he was after
the game. Enough is never no. So you just want to get toine,

(28:18):
to drive off for more in placewith us standard, you know.
But I think in off moments justtruly never want to get you out of
never get too low. You knowwho. We found a way in the
end. Might happen that audio wasout of a wind tunnel down at link
on Financial Field, but he saidthey found a way to win, and
that's exactly what they did. JohnJansen is heading over to Jersey. Uh,

(28:41):
we were gonna take our first timeout here. Mark Henry Junior is
with me all show four o'clock. We'll have Jerald Colton join us. He
is one of the co hosts forthe All Pro Green Legion Show coming your
way six to eight pm tonight.Sydney Brown will be sitting down with the
boys. Uh. Looking forward tohearing this one as always every single Monday
Live for Chickens and Petz in Marlton, A Jersey. All you Jersey folks

(29:03):
out there, if you're in thearea, Chickis and Petez in Marlton,
New Jersey, tonight six to eightpm. You got Dave Spite, Irving
Fryar, Gerald Colter is gonna joinus in just a little bit, plus
some other Green Legion guys. Ithink Chris Sack will be out there,
maybe Mike Diaz. Great cast ofcharacters and just a great time, two
hour show and Sydney Brown be takingpicture signing autographs and go get some of

(29:26):
those good chickis and petz crab fries. What'd you have at the tailgate?
Would you have it at tailgate yesterday? I got a waaho he brought it
with me. Yeah, a littlejust an easy one. Yeah, yeah.
So what time did you get downthere yesterday? Eleven eleven am?
We were out there, Yeah,it was it was early. God bless
you. I don't miss those days. I didn't make it. I wanted

(29:48):
to, and I tried to geta ticket last week and they were all
taken because of the the the KellyGreen and of course Buffalo. It's a
great game, don't get me wrong, but I feel like everybody wanted to
go so they could wear they're alltheir Kelly Green gear and all that,
which is cool. And Friday happened. I'm like, ah, Damn,
I there goes my last ticket.I'm not gonna be able to get a
ticket. I could have bought one, said I'm maybe buy one for forty

(30:12):
nine ers if I need that, and then my wife on Saturday, so
it was supposed to rain and I'mlike, nope, I'll be sitting this
one out in the couch. Andit was a great day of football.
Yeah, it's funny, like Ialways say, I hate going to Eagles
games. I hate going to footballto football games. Sorry my uncle if
he's listening. But I got afree to free pay of tickets every year

(30:33):
and I kind of try to strategizewhere I'm gonna use it. And I
go to one game a year.Really, and you miss so much in
person, Like there's such a levelthat you just don't get the replace.
And I'm still hearing about stuff today, I'm correct. I tried to scroll
Twitter so much after the game drivinghome and stuff, Like I wasn't driving,
so I was scrolling Twitter and readingstuff. And even still I didn't

(30:55):
get the whole you know feed thatyou would have just got sitting on your
couch. Obviously, I got better, like I got, you got a
great environment, you got the atmosphere, hugging strangers at the end. Yeah,
it's it's great, But there's definitelya part of me that feels that
way, and that's when it's goodweather. I feel that way about going
to the game in good weather. In this weather, the phone was poor.
It was pouring so much you can'teven take your phone out to look

(31:18):
at other scores. Really, soit was it was I can't emphasize what
a miserable experience it was. Butthey got the dope if they lost.
Man, whole other level, wholeother level. A couple of comments coming
in, Mike checking in, alwayslistening. We appreciate that, Mike.
He said, Yeah, you can'tget slapped around by a Bills player at
home. Why I would. Iwould have flopped like I was Rick Flair.

(31:41):
They'd be they'd be having to getme out of the hospital. They'd
they'd be paying my hospital bill.I'd be selling Jack, he say,
to get that, and like, just unbelievable. By the way, you
know, it was mean. Iwas actually sitting on the Bill's sideline,
real real close, crazy seats, but you know it was mean, mugging
the fans the whole time. DamarHamlin. What are you doing if you're

(32:07):
DeMar Hamlin, Like you just hadthis whole thing where like you're mister,
You're mister like face of the NFL, and you're still a Buffalo. Bill.
It's a little crazy for him tobe like was up. Yeah,
yeah he was active. Yeah yeah, he'll get in like from time to
time on special teams and stuff likethat. I know he came in a

(32:28):
couple weeks ago. Maybe I hadthe wrong person. Everyone around me was
saying it was Damar Hamlin. I'mpretty sure I saw that it was him,
But yeah, it was the wholeHonestly, the whole sideline, that
Bill's sideline was getting pretty crazy. That's what I said this. I sat
in these seats the last two yearsfor the Saints game, the Commander's game
two years ago. I don't reallyremember it being like that. I do

(32:49):
remember, like back a decade ago, I went to a Cardinals game.
Patrick Peterson was relentless the whole game. I remember back in the day,
him and Honey Badger. But yeah, this was next level the whole Bills
team, and they were not Theyweren't doing that once they once the game
was over. There we also gotanother comment here. This one is right
for you. He said, Iwould love for the unicorn that has Brocked
Bowers to end up with the PhiladelphiaEagles. Anything there with that one.

(33:10):
Is he your first round pick?Yeah, he's a top five pick.
He's a top five. Brock Bower'sgoing top five maybe maybe definitely top ten,
definitely top ten, probably top five. I actually so it's funny.
He everyone's the top three is prettyclearly in some capacity quarterbacks in marmin Erson
Junior. Yes, Caleb May Marvin. I think you also have an offensive
lineman from Penn State. He's goingtop five, right. Olu Fashion from

(33:35):
Penn State and Joe All from NotreDame are kind of dead even in terms
of the tackles. I think they'reboth locks to go top ten. They
could jump into that top five ifthey test well. I think most people
have Bowers fourth. I have RomaDunesay fourth from Washington. I think if
the best case scenario for a DOUNSAis like a number one wide receiver as
opposed to the best case scenario forBowers being basically George Kittle, I feel

(33:58):
like the number one wide receiver upsideis just so much higher. I agree
with that. That's why I'm kindof shocked that Bower's gonna go that high.
I think he's tremendous. He's sogood. That's kind of what it.
I think that there. He's justsuch a safe prospect. He can
do, he can block you,he can obviously go catch sixty seventy balls.
He's a red zone monster, andit's great to have those guys man

(34:19):
at the tight end position. It'sjust like, look at Friarmouth the day
that he had yesterday, Matt Canadagets fired, they go for four hundred.
Yeah, well look at the differencewithout Goddard. I mean, it
feels like some of these times haven'tgot absolutely huge. The weird thing about
the tight end position, the guyswho have been drafted high just have not
panned out to the level that we'rehoping. And the best guys always seem

(34:40):
to come from that second third round. You look at Kelsey, you look
at Kittle, even got her secondround. Laporta this year is really stepping
up. He was a later pick. Something about that tight end position's weird.
Where it's I think it's a harderposition to scalt and it's a harder
position to transfer kind of college tothe NFL. Interesting. Well, we
got a long way to go untilwe'll get in the those conversations, and

(35:00):
that's a good thing here in Philadelphia. We'll keep the conversation on the Eagles.
On the other side, we're gonnahear from Dante Nicola, from mal
Chevy checking in with us in hisweekly spot. As I said four oh
five, we got Gerald Colton alot to do just getting started. Mark
Junior with us full show, don'tgo whatever more after this
