Good afternoon, Daily ticket shop race riding solo on a
Tuesday for Now Blue Carcaney getting us ready for Game
two live from Sistens Bank Park, talking out things Phillies
and Cubs to get the party started. Here on a
Daily ticket a lot to get to Stanley Cup Finals.

Speaker 5 (01:44):
Rolling on last night.

Speaker 6 (01:45):
Ugly beatdown of a game, NBA Finals conversation coming up
a little bit later, NFL Inside the Insiders got some
actual good traction on the timeline when it comes to
the world of NFL. Looking forward to our new show
weekly here on the Daily or on the Gambler. Excuse me,
Football is King with Ryan Beef Coil and and Nick McLay.

(02:12):
A lot of good stuff coming out of that show.
Of course, Football is King, and that's why we decided
to roll that out there new show for the summertime.
And I think that that one is going to stick.
A matter of fact, right now, I think, Beef, there's
a letter in the mail. I'm not lying. There is

(02:33):
a letter in the mail to iHeartRadio addressed to Ryan
Beef Coil. I'm not lying to you. My boy has
made it. He has made it. He's getting fan mail.
You gotta love it, all right. You also have to
love the fact that the Phillies found a way to

(02:53):
battle back in a game that not one of you
out there believed that they would win, and they did
so against a damn good Chicago team team that have
just have hitters mashed into baseball all over. You saw
the lineup front and center last night. As far as
home runs are concerned with Suzuki Crow, Armstrong Tucker who
went yard in the bottom of the first inning. Again,

(03:16):
that Cubs lineup is nasty. There's a lot to like
about the Chicago Cubs this season. That's why they're on
top of the division. As far as the Phillies are concerned.
Wheeler goes out there, pitches like Zach Wheeler was what
you expect from what Zack Wheeler appearance, except for the
home run giving up to Tucker there. Essentially, I'm in
the same boat you guys all were. I thought that

(03:37):
the Phillies were going to find a way to lose
that game yesterday, But sixteen hits to the Chicago Cubs
five was enough to get it done.

Speaker 5 (03:46):
Unbelievable.

Speaker 6 (03:47):
All right, let's set up to Citizens Bank Park, Luke
Carcandy joining us right from the jump here to get
the party started. On a Tuesday Daily ticket, Luke, you
were in the building. That's a really dangerous Chicago Cubs lineup.
How the hell did the Phillies get sixteen hits? The
Cubs got five. Yeah, we had to sweat that one
out in extra innings.

Speaker 7 (04:08):
See, that's what happens when fifteen or sixteen hits are
just singles and not extra base hits. And the one
extra base hit was when Cassianus got thrown out at
second base. So yeah, I mean, that's what happens when
you hit a lot of singles and you can't get
guys in with runners in scoring position, they grounded into
three double plays. It was, you know, just about everything

(04:31):
that could have almost possibly went wrong early in the
game from a line.

Speaker 8 (04:36):
Of perspective, went wrong.

Speaker 7 (04:38):
They made three outs on the bases, they hit into
three double plays, they were two for thirteen with runners
in the scoring position in the first ten innings, and
they ended up winning in the eleventh with a single,
an a bunt, and a pop.

Speaker 8 (04:50):
Up to deep center field.

Speaker 7 (04:53):
You know, it doesn't always have to be pretty, especially
when we get out of a slump. It doesn't matter
how you win to get out of a slump, because
you know, it's it's I would say it's about seventy
five percent of these hitters that are that are struggling
right now. The only the only good hitter on the
Phillies over the last two weeks has been Tray Turner.

(05:14):
Even Schwarver's had a rough you know, last week or so.
So you know, sometimes you just have to find a
way and and that's what they did last night against
a good Cubs team. That's a team that you know,
it feels like seven or eight different guys come up
to the plate and it just feels like they can.

Speaker 8 (05:31):
Cause an issue and they can cause havoc.

Speaker 7 (05:34):
And you know, Zach Wheeler did a Zach Wheeler things
last night. Like you said, fastest pitcher to ever reach
thousand strikeouts in Phillies history.

Speaker 4 (05:44):
The dude's just an animal.

Speaker 8 (05:46):
He showed it last night. And you know, going out there,
I think he was.

Speaker 7 (05:50):
Around ninety, like very very low nineties as far as
pitch count going out into his.

Speaker 8 (05:59):
Uh six then, and you know he got out of.

Speaker 7 (06:02):
That with a thirteen pitch inning to basically get out
get through six.

Speaker 8 (06:06):
Because you know, even with the state of this bullpen.

Speaker 7 (06:09):
Right now, you were kind of like, crap, they need
to get seven, eight nine out of a bullpen. When
Kirkering pitched Sunday versus a good club team, and they didn't.

Speaker 8 (06:20):
Just get three, they got five.

Speaker 4 (06:23):
They got five.

Speaker 8 (06:24):
Innings out of the bullpen, one one earned run.

Speaker 7 (06:29):
It was.

Speaker 8 (06:29):
It was really good stuff from them last night.

Speaker 7 (06:31):
Even a guy like Carlos Hernandez last night, has to
come into the eleventh inning in a tie game, and
you know you expect one.

Speaker 8 (06:40):
You know, good teams get one run in extra innings.

Speaker 7 (06:44):
If if you put a reliever into an ex innings
game and and they get out of the extra.

Speaker 8 (06:49):
Inning with one run, that's a positive.

Speaker 7 (06:53):
And you know, he let up one double to the
best probably young player in baseball and a PCA and
he got out of it. You know, they just continue
to find Away last night.

Speaker 8 (07:04):
And they're in a good spot to win another ball
game tonight.

Speaker 5 (07:07):
Yeah, they are with Able on the mountain.

Speaker 6 (07:09):
We'll talk a little bit more about that game obviously
coming up here in just a second. Phillies and Cubs
Round two down at Citizens Bank Park. Hopefully no more
rain on the horizon. It would be nice to get
some dry weather for the next couple of days.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
Please.

Speaker 8 (07:22):
It doesn't look like it tonight, which is good. It
looks like the next few day should be pretty clear.

Speaker 6 (07:27):
All right, Mick Able minus one Away Cubs minus one,
twelve nine and a half is our total hero on
DraftKings Sports Book. All right, Luke, and again for the
people tuning in fire Away, Anie Phillies questions We like
to keep things surface level. We don't like to, you know,
panic too much or on this show when you play
one sixty two and you know what, this team looked
bad in that losing five straight and nine out of

(07:50):
their ten, and you know, I just think a win
like that last night has to make you breathe so
much easier.

Speaker 5 (07:56):
And it's obvious.

Speaker 6 (07:58):
You know, when you go up against a team like
the Chicago Cubs, you're gonna get your best effort. And
that's another thing that was playing into my mind that
the Phillies were the side yesterday.

Speaker 5 (08:06):
Of course, it starts and.

Speaker 6 (08:08):
Ends with Zach Wheeler on the mound, and I think
he deserves a ton of credit to be able to go,
hey man, let me tell you about having a kid,
all right, and then the fact that you have to
go back out to work a week not even a
week later, what a couple of days and you perform
like that.

Speaker 8 (08:26):
I think I think they had the kid on Thursday.

Speaker 5 (08:29):
Insane. It's insane.

Speaker 7 (08:31):
Yeah, I mean, dude, that that's not even a father
or one that's a father of four, correct, He's got
four kids at home.

Speaker 8 (08:37):
Whole different ball games at the age of six or seven.

Speaker 5 (08:41):
Yeah, God bless people like Zach Wheeler.

Speaker 6 (08:43):
Now we all know at the end of the day
he has some extra dollars in the account that probably
are you know able to uh foot the bill for
a nanny or two.

Speaker 5 (08:54):
Let's with all of it, with all love and respect,
with all of them respect, I have no idea.

Speaker 7 (08:59):
No matter how much money you make, a father of
force still doesn't sleep, No.

Speaker 5 (09:05):
Not at all. Yeah.

Speaker 6 (09:05):
And for him to come out there and pitched away
he did after giving up that home run the Tucker
A great Chicago Cubs lineup. Just funny because when you
look at the Cy Young Award, if you were to
tell me Zach Wheeler at nine to one is one.

Speaker 5 (09:17):
Of your plays.

Speaker 6 (09:17):
I know Skeens has this award already wrapped up at
minus one eighty, but I would take Wheeler over Chris sale, Yamamoto,
Logan Webb, Christopher Sanchez, Robbie Ray, Mackenzie Gore. Skeens is
the guy, no doubt about that. But we've seen things
happen before, and I'm not trying to wish ill will
on anybody, but I do believe that Zach Wheeler Cy

(09:39):
Young is a live dog.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
As far as that Award is concerned.

Speaker 6 (09:43):
We're not gonna waste too much time because I'm pretty
much pretty sure you would be in agreement on that one.
Back over to the Phillies yesterday and we do know that,
like it's not so much they have to make a
move to get to a World Series, Like it's not
the end of the world Ifwski doesn't go out there
and get some big time player.

Speaker 5 (10:03):
I still think this team is going to compete.

Speaker 6 (10:05):
But the issue for me is when it comes to
September slash October, you're going to have one opportunity to
look back at that trade deadline. It's your last time
that you can add to your roster. And when you
get to September and you get to October, if you
know that's the way it plays out for the Phillies,
which we all hope it does, and you don't make

(10:26):
a move, I feel like you're gonna be kicking yourself
in the backside. So I think we're all in agreement
that there will be moves made come trade deadline. Trade
deadline isn't until July thirty, first Luke time. That's a
long ways of way a lot of baseball, So like
it's It's almost like when you break this schedule down,

(10:47):
you have to break it down in segments. So here
they are just went through a tough stretch, nine out
of ten, five straight terrible baseball, swept against the Pirates
first time in forever understood. But what is it now
for you over these next six weeks that you want
to see? What is it now that is Rob Thompson?

(11:08):
Does he have to step up and bring more to
the table. Is it something you're looking to hear from
Dombrowski or is it on the field like we saw
last night with Marsh get his first opportunity to or
not his first opportunity, his first time playing baseball ever,
little league, high school, teamer, league, you name the league.

(11:29):
It's the first time that Brandon marsh has ever hit
a walk off? How crazy is that? What are you
looking for over these next six to seven weeks that
will make you a little bit sleep easier at night
and make you believe a little bit more in this
team Because they are good, we know that.

Speaker 5 (11:45):
But the fine line of winning.

Speaker 6 (11:47):
Or getting to a World Series versus going home in
that first round losing to the Mets, it's very slim.
They're going to have to make moves come trade deadline.
Let's put that to the side. What do you want
to see from the players that are currently in this organization,
whether it's Triple A, Double A, or at the major
league level right now?

Speaker 7 (12:04):
Yeah, so this is you know, and a lot of
people don't like to say it, but it's true. This
is sort of the sixth six week trial in our
period for me. You know what, what can you learn
over the next six weeks that you can take into
the trade deadbine.

Speaker 8 (12:22):
If for the next six.

Speaker 7 (12:23):
Weeks your center field and left field position continue to struggle,
then you go in and that's where you have to
put your focus on. If over the next six weeks
your bullpen goes out and really struggles, then that's where
you need to put some stock into as well.

Speaker 8 (12:39):
And you know, I think that's going to be I don't.

Speaker 7 (12:42):
I don't think it's it's rocket science to a lot
of people that the Phillies' needs are outfield and bullpen,
you know, looking at it right now. But what I
say about the bullpen is a lot of this bullpen
is going to be fixed internal. You know, I don't
think they're gonna go out of the deadline and get

(13:03):
four different believers because you know you have three good
ones at the top. Even if you know they've they've
been going through some some some iffy times. Max Strom
doesn't look like last year's Strom. You know, I still
don't think he's a bad pitcher. A Romano, you know,
is really bounced back after a rough first month, even

(13:24):
even with a bad outing mixed in and there. I thought,
I thought last night was huge for him and having
an inherited runner on second and basically coming into the
game and that.

Speaker 8 (13:34):
Runner never even got halfway to third base.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
That was a really big outing for him.

Speaker 7 (13:38):
But it's it's looking at you know.

Speaker 8 (13:40):
Where, finding out the true holes.

Speaker 7 (13:44):
You know, it's pretty obvious this team is going to
need another bat. It just feels like they need a
little more pop. You know, I think they wanted that
when they signed Max Kepler.

Speaker 8 (13:55):
He hasn't given that.

Speaker 4 (13:57):
To what they hoped for.

Speaker 7 (13:59):
But you know, getting seeing seeing what needs to be
on the table in July and as far as Triple A,
you know, seeing.

Speaker 8 (14:09):
The guys down there that continue to impress.

Speaker 7 (14:12):
And you know, I don't think Otto Kemp would have
would he wouldn't have gotten this call if he didn't
have an eleven hundred oh ps and triple A. But
he he's earned the chance to show the Phillies that
he can be a right handed bat. And you know,
if he comes up here and hits like he did
in triple A, yes, I know, last night was a

(14:32):
bunt in a slap hit along.

Speaker 8 (14:33):
With a nice single.

Speaker 7 (14:35):
The combined eggs of velocio on his last two hits
was like thirty miles an hour. But if he comes
up here and he shows that he can play multiple
positions and you can throw him out in left field
and he's not a disaster and he continues.

Speaker 8 (14:50):
To hit the ball, the Mcbryce Parker comes back.

Speaker 7 (14:53):
Maybe that's the situation where they keep auto Kemp over
a guy like Weston Wilson who hasn't really shown you
a ton this year.

Speaker 8 (15:00):
So you know, it's it's these next few weeks that
that really these players have.

Speaker 7 (15:05):
To show, you know that they they can be here
in October because this this this doesn't feel like a
trade deadline to me where they just sit on their
hands and do absolutely nothing.

Speaker 8 (15:16):
Nobody on this team's getting younger.

Speaker 7 (15:19):
You're Zach Wheeler is giving you some of the best
pitching you've seen in the in the history of this franchise.
You can't continue to just waste that. You know, Harper's
not getting older, or he's not getting younger. He's he's
only getting older, and we can see that. You know,
he's not the twenty one year old athlete anymore that

(15:39):
can fight through any injury and continue to play when
he's heard he's hurt.

Speaker 8 (15:43):
Kyle forb this is last year under contract.

Speaker 7 (15:46):
I'd be shocked if he doesn't come back. But you
can't head into this trade deadline knowing that you know,
whether we like to say it or not, there is
a chance that s Forber could not be here next year.

Speaker 8 (15:57):
I don't think it's a high chance.

Speaker 7 (15:59):
But this is a deadline where they have to know
their exact needs, and I think these next six weeks
are are really big for that seeing what you need
and truly what you don't.

Speaker 6 (16:10):
Yeah, no great answer, And it's the truth. It's the
fact that I know everybody's oh, we need to make move. Yeah,
sure they know that too, and I do expect them.

Speaker 8 (16:17):
Everyone knows. Everybody knows we need a bat. Everyone knows
you need a believer.

Speaker 5 (16:20):
That's not that's down the road.

Speaker 7 (16:22):
Man.

Speaker 6 (16:24):
That's that's a that's a bunch of trips to the
to the shore over these next few weeks.

Speaker 5 (16:29):
Man, until they're going to be.

Speaker 6 (16:30):
Making that move because nobody's from a general managers perspective,
you're not making that move.

Speaker 5 (16:35):
So you have a reason.

Speaker 7 (16:37):
And the reason you don't make that move is because
if if you trade for a big time orliever in June,
this price is practically doubled. Yeah, the second, the second
you look desperate, the price goes up.

Speaker 4 (16:48):
Correct.

Speaker 7 (16:49):
They have to continue to ride with what they have.
I mean, I think they've shown that, Like, you know,
they could have tried these older, proven guys they have
down in Triple A.

Speaker 8 (17:01):
They called up Mick Abel and Steth Johnson instead.

Speaker 7 (17:04):
You know, there's some there's some twenty eight to thirty
year olds down in Triple A right now that could
start a game for the Phillies that they needed to
or be a reliever for the Phillies that they needed to.
And the Phillies are using the young guys. I think
that says a lot for them right now.

Speaker 6 (17:18):
All right, the odds that Craig Counsel gets thrown out
of another game tonight.

Speaker 7 (17:21):
I would, I would, I would have to look that up.
Has any manager ever been thrown out in free straight game?

Speaker 8 (17:27):
Free straight game?

Speaker 5 (17:28):
Do it, Craig, do it here?

Speaker 8 (17:30):
Have any been talking?

Speaker 5 (17:31):
Oh?

Speaker 6 (17:32):
I would imagine two straight definitely has happened. A bunch
three straight? Crazy, that's a good one. We have to
look that up. Where Luke Arcadie Live from Citizens Bank
Park makes you catch all of his great writing skills
over at crossing broad dot com. Great follow as always,
update us quickly if you could, because I know you
had a tweet earlier. Rob Thompson talk about Bryce Harper

(17:53):
and Aaron Nola. What's the latest with both of those guys.

Speaker 7 (17:56):
Yeah, so we'll get an update here in about twenty
five minutes.

Speaker 8 (18:00):
We'll speak to him around three forty five.

Speaker 7 (18:03):
They met with the doctors and talked to the doctors
last night, Harper and Nola, but Rob.

Speaker 8 (18:09):
Thompson didn't get to see the doctor after the game.

Speaker 7 (18:12):
So they found out more this morning. We don't know
exactly what it is yet, so we'll know that in
a little bit. But just a quick note that I
think is is worth noting. Trey Turner is hitting lead
off today against a righty which that's been the Bryson
stop position since he's moved to the lead off spot.
So it's pretty obvious that they're getting stot out of

(18:32):
the leadoff whole night after a rough last few weeks.

Speaker 8 (18:35):
He is batting fifth tonight, which is funny.

Speaker 7 (18:37):
You know, when when this lineup doesn't have Bryce Harper,
it is not that.

Speaker 4 (18:42):
It's not that deep.

Speaker 7 (18:44):
So as far as tonight Alec Bohm is hitting third,
Bryson Stotts.

Speaker 8 (18:49):
Hitting fifth, it's you know.

Speaker 7 (18:51):
It's a Stott Real Muto, Kepler, Kemp Marsh five, six, seven,
eight nine.

Speaker 8 (18:56):
So you know, it does it does get a little thin.

Speaker 7 (18:59):
But once again, I tweeted this out last night, there
is nothing in baseball that's better for a struggling team
than a walk off win. It doesn't matter if it's
a walk off balk or a walk off home run.

Speaker 8 (19:13):
Seeing them go out last night.

Speaker 7 (19:14):
And you know, throw the water on the dudes and
get out of Kemp with the water jug after the game,
that like that stuff goes places, and you know just
that is that is such a deep breath that they
can take, and you know, I I honestly think.

Speaker 4 (19:30):
That's what they needed.

Speaker 7 (19:31):
They just needed to take.

Speaker 5 (19:33):
A really big, deep breath.

Speaker 8 (19:34):
I know Scherber talked yesterday and he's like.

Speaker 7 (19:36):
You know, you can't you can't ride. You can't ride
the highs and you can't ride the lows. You have
to sit right in the middle.

Speaker 8 (19:42):
And you know, even after you lose nine.

Speaker 7 (19:45):
Of ten and you score one run and you're in
four your last five games, you know you you can't
get too low because once again, this team's not even
halfway through the season yet, so there's a lot of
baseball left on a nice opportunity tonight with Mick Gable
on the mound for his third start with the Phillies.

Speaker 6 (20:05):
That's right, we'll talk about Colin Raine just a second
versus mc gabel's slight favorites for the Cubbies. Wrong team
favorite again. We're talking about a four dollars difference there.
Some like to say four cents difference, but it's minus
one twelve, minus one eight. You do what you want
with that one. But the story of tonight's game is
another start for the young mc gable again. First two
career starts eleven and a third innings with eleven strikeout,

(20:29):
zero walks, yielded one run and three hits over five
and a third against the Toronto Blue Jays on Wednesday,
had that great performance going up against Paul Schemes against
the Pirates. So it starts and ends there because I
do believe that, you know, if you're able to get
this guy to continue to produce like he has, now,
that's where I want to stop myself. Is that the

(20:52):
expectation where we're at right now with mc gable. I
get it, it's the pros, it's the bigs. Get in there, kid,
let's see what you got. You've been awesome. But what
should be our approach when it comes to mckabel getting
his third start against a really dangerous lineup with the
Chicago Cubs this evening.

Speaker 8 (21:07):
Yeah, I mean he he hasn't shown you anything yet.

Speaker 7 (21:11):
Where you can doubt him as of right now. And
I know it's only been two starts, but his first
ever start, he went up against the cy young favorite
and he hung in there basically the.

Speaker 8 (21:22):
Entire game with him.

Speaker 7 (21:23):
And then he traveled to another country to pitch his
second start, and he looked really good up in Toronto.
You know, he hasn't given us anything to.

Speaker 8 (21:35):
Doubt his ability yet.

Speaker 7 (21:37):
And yes, this is a good Chicago Cubs offense, but
you know, they're they're striking out at a pretty nice
clip over the.

Speaker 8 (21:45):
Last I would say two weeks right now. I was
looking at a few of the splits earlier.

Speaker 7 (21:50):
You know, I do favor mckabel against the Cubs rather
than Ray versus the Phillies, even though the Phillies offense
hasn't you know, been that great over the last two weeks.

Speaker 8 (21:59):
The Phillies have hit.

Speaker 7 (22:01):
Right pretty well, and you know, it seems like he
is starting to get on.

Speaker 8 (22:05):
A downward trend.

Speaker 7 (22:07):
He he had a really nice start to his season.
He let up tour and runs or fewer in his
first seven starts, and then he surrendered six earned runs
over his last two starts each, So you know, he's
it seems like maybe he was just riding a little
bit of an early season high and he's kind of
starting to get back down to reality here. So you know,
I think that's probably why the Phillies are a little

(22:29):
bit of a slight favorite.

Speaker 6 (22:30):
Yeah, you got the win against the Phillies back on
April twenty fifth, five scoreless and seven k's. Is there
a player you have your eye on? From a player
prop perspective this evening from the Phillies or the Cubbies.

Speaker 7 (22:42):
Yeah, you know, I keep I keep saying, you know,
maybe it's the night that Forever starts to get back
to it. I believe the winds blowing out tonight towards
right field.

Speaker 8 (22:52):
I think this is probably a shover knight. I would
probably look at Shver, but yeah, I would.

Speaker 7 (22:59):
Just continue, you know, to look just at the team
in general, because.

Speaker 8 (23:02):
I I think I think last night was a big
night to build. Uh. Trey Turner's obviously been hitting the
ball well recently.

Speaker 4 (23:09):
I would probably look at those two guys right.

Speaker 5 (23:11):
Now, Let's go Trey.

Speaker 6 (23:13):
As far as trade deadline, we're gonna get over to
the US Open just a second. Any shot that the
Phillies can land Denzel Clark at the trade Devin.

Speaker 5 (23:20):
I don't care if he's hitting two to five.

Speaker 6 (23:22):
I want that club out in Citizens Bank Park center field.

Speaker 1 (23:26):
Now.

Speaker 6 (23:26):
Rohot's pretty good in his own right, but man, what
a grab yesterday. And this dude's got a couple of
them right now in the resume. That's the crazy part.

Speaker 4 (23:36):
That awesome.

Speaker 7 (23:37):
He had another one in that game last night that
was not as good, but it was still pretty nice.

Speaker 8 (23:42):
Yeah, I mean he's.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
Saying he is. He's like a unbelievable athleticism.

Speaker 6 (23:47):
To be able to climb a wall like that. Come on, man,
that's just stupid. And if you missed what.

Speaker 8 (23:52):
We're talking about, six muffles, Yeah.

Speaker 6 (23:55):
That was that was catch of the year Major League Baseball.
I don't nobody's that. Nobody's topping that. The only way
you're topping is if you catch it with your bare
hand out in left field, right, all right.

Speaker 5 (24:06):
And then we'll get you out of here on this one.

Speaker 6 (24:08):
Luke Arcaney, our resident golf expert here on the Gambler,
he will be a part of my for someone that
comes to the swinging and thing. And we texted last night.
I'm like, yeah, as if you had a choice, we've moved.
We announced it yesterday. We I'll give you more information
on that in just a second, but us open, we
got some time. It's only Tuesday. Team off on Thursday.

(24:28):
Come on, man, is it really Scotty again at plus
two seventy five?

Speaker 5 (24:32):
Can we just get somebody else in there?

Speaker 6 (24:34):
Or is it just like, dude, this is Scotty's world
we're living and everybody's playing.

Speaker 7 (24:39):
For second yeah, it's I can't sit on here and
talk to people and tell them not to do it
because the guy's just the guy's a freak.

Speaker 8 (24:51):
He's an absolute freak. It's it's it's just insane.

Speaker 7 (24:56):
You know. The thing about Oakman is you have to
ConTroll the golf ball. And I think Scotty is one
of the best, obviously in the world at that you know,
it seems pretty obvious.

Speaker 8 (25:08):
I'm gonna be laying it down on on on on
that number.

Speaker 6 (25:12):
But if you remove Scotty from the equation where you're looking,
oh man, because we got major money movement on the
guy that I like. Last week he was nine to one,
he is now plus seven fifty. I think d Chambeau
could get the job done again.

Speaker 7 (25:28):
Okay, Yeah, I don't hate that play at all.

Speaker 8 (25:31):
You know, it's it's a long it's a long golf course.
There is a par three playing close to three hundred
yards at this golf course. It's it's it's a little absurd.

Speaker 7 (25:42):
I mean, the biggest thing about Oakland is you have
to control the golf ball.

Speaker 8 (25:46):
If you know, if.

Speaker 7 (25:46):
You're flaring out and finding your way in this rough,
you're done. I saw a quote from Rory's press conference.
He shot in eighty one in a practice round and
thought he played really good guy, so good. I believe
I saw the I have to find the exact number.
Don't quote me on this, but I think.

Speaker 8 (26:06):
The predicted the odds for the winning score right now
to me are like close to even par.

Speaker 7 (26:14):
Like it's it's gonna be an absolute grind. If you
like birdies, I don't advise you watching this tournament because.

Speaker 8 (26:22):
It's it's going to be it's going to be insane.

Speaker 7 (26:27):
It's it's it's it's it's an awesome.

Speaker 8 (26:29):
Weekend for golf.

Speaker 7 (26:30):
The US Open is the best, and I'm happy that
they're doing it in a really challenging course because I
love watching golf.

Speaker 8 (26:39):
Courses just eat these guys up.

Speaker 7 (26:40):
I think it's fun because I think it really shows
you the best golfers. Anybody can go down to a
Hilton Head kind of course and shoot twenty five under,
but watching these pros trying defeat Oakmont is insane stuff.

Speaker 8 (26:55):
We saw Dustin Johnson. I think he finished back in
twenty sixteen.

Speaker 7 (26:59):
His win score after four days was four under, and
he said the golf course is only harder now than
it was then, So it's it's going to be a
grind of a weekend. I'm gonna lay it on Scotty's number.
I will say, just a little.

Speaker 8 (27:15):
Flyer for me.

Speaker 7 (27:16):
Joaquin Neeman has won four of the last eight live events.

Speaker 8 (27:20):
Arguably the top three ball striker in the world. Really
controls the golf ball.

Speaker 7 (27:25):
It's it's it's going to come down to iron play
once you get out of the box, and and who
can stay in the fairway, because if your drivers not
on at Oakmont, you're done.

Speaker 8 (27:37):
I saw a lot of people like Shane Lowry this week.
I will say I'm a.

Speaker 7 (27:41):
Little I'm a little against that because I think of
the course at Oakmont, and I think how frustrating it is,
and I know how Shane Lowry plays when he's frustrated,
and it's not good.

Speaker 8 (27:52):
So I'm gonna stray away from Lowry. But I like
I like Neieman. I'm gonna take him top ten.

Speaker 7 (27:58):
I think it was around plus two twenty and then obviously, yeah,
I'm gonna probably lay it on Scotty into Shambo. But
I mean, listen, it's hard for me not to rufus Scotty.

Speaker 5 (28:10):
Oh yeah, rooting is a different ball game. Yeah, yeah,
rootings are different.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
He's the man I'm gonna look there.

Speaker 8 (28:19):
I will say I'm gonna throw.

Speaker 7 (28:20):
A little on lud Big as well, as long as
his driver continues to hit how he's been. The irons
have been a little bit of a struggle recently for him.
But if he just the robotic way that he hits
the ball, if he finds it this weekend.

Speaker 4 (28:36):
Hoping in contention as well.

Speaker 5 (28:38):
Joaquin Neeman.

Speaker 6 (28:39):
He's got a little play on Tommy Fleetwood top ten
as well at plus two twenties, Scotty all right, d.

Speaker 5 (28:45):
Chambeau is in there. Draftings. There's a ton to choose from.

Speaker 6 (28:48):
I know I'll make a few bets over these next
twenty four to forty eight hours here before they get
going on Thursday. But looking forward to bellying up and
enjoying four great rounds of golf out there at Oakland.
Hopefully we are going to enjoy tonight's game once again,
Phillies and Cubs Game two. Slight dog here, Mick Able
on the mound, Luke Arcandy, fantastic stuff as usual. Enjoy

(29:09):
the game, sir, and we'll catch up later this week,
actually tomorrow night for the wheel Oh Misfortune.

Speaker 4 (29:18):
Come there he is, you.

Speaker 6 (29:19):
Know, man, Luke awesome, great job as always, Luke Arcaney
and the Gambler Hotline.

Speaker 5 (29:24):
Yeah, we'll talk a little bit more about.

Speaker 6 (29:25):
Wheel Oh Misfortune coming up in just a little bit
later in the show.

Speaker 4 (29:32):
But the US Open, man, And I know you're seeing
all those videos out there that the roughest dick.

Speaker 5 (29:41):
I love that stuff. I do.

Speaker 6 (29:42):
I'm a sucker for it, but I feel like we
are over the top. I saw a video yesterday of
these ground crew members with like almost a buzz cut,
Like how you the trimmers that you use for your hair,
you get your kids haircut, your haircut, whatever, and like
there they are, like.

Speaker 4 (29:59):
No BI could see that. Come on, dude.

Speaker 6 (30:01):
I am a lover of all things golf course, as
far as manicure and the way they look and the
designs and everything. Like, I get down with it. I
love when it comes to building a golf course. But
I think there are things that we could probably skip
for the you know, the engagement purposes on the timeline,

(30:23):
and that was definitely one of them. There's a lot
to like about that golf course. The bunkers are awesome,
the length of it is great the history. I mean,
it's really one of the toughest courses ever in the
history of all things golf, and we're gonna see more
of that come this weekend. I'm starting on Thursday again.
DraftKings right now showing Scottie Scheffler your overall top.

Speaker 5 (30:45):
Favorite at minus two seventy.

Speaker 6 (30:47):
I like Bryson money coming in on Bryson yesterday or
last week. He was nine to one. Now he's plus
seven to fifty. John Rown twelve to one, Rory twelve
to one, Xander twenty two to one. Mark cow is
an interesting name, but I feel like every time I
get him with him, he never delivers. He's at twenty
five to one. Olberg's in there. As Luke pointed out,
all right, here's a flyer for you. I would wager

(31:08):
on Jason Day if he wore the shorts that he
wore today. I would spend my hard earned money. Now,
I know you can't rock shorts, but maybe get the
American flag, American flag pants all a John Daily style
out there and I will place a wager on him
top twenty or top ten.

Speaker 4 (31:28):
How about that, I kid, you gotta love.

Speaker 5 (31:31):
It all right?

Speaker 6 (31:32):
Daily Ticket rolling out we'll talk more about the US Open,
and of course swinging and ding at Moose May's and
Danielle will have you covered on all things PGA Tour,
US Open and Philly Golf all in together at Swing
It and Ding It. Why we continue to talk about golf.
I plan on playing again this weekend. Where SPF dot com.
Where SPF get yourself the sun Tan Lotion performance sunscreen.

(31:58):
You can get it at Amazon CVS. They got it
all over the place. It's justin Thomas's brand. We linked
up with him. I got the fifty this is what
I'm using or else to have the chapstick, which is good,
and then I have the cream as well. What do
they call that mineral? I forget what it is. Anyways,
I'm obviously more of the spray. I got a two bottles,
two cans. One in the golf bag, one in the car.

(32:21):
This is obviously for promotional purposes in studio, but wear
SPF dot com. When you wear it, you could feel
the difference. I promise you this number one. There's no scent, right,
so it's like, you know, if you want to smell
like a coconut, more power to you. I'm kind of
one of those guys that believes that scent will attract mosquitoes.

(32:41):
You're out in the course, you're performing, whatever it may be.
I just like things that don't have a scent to them.

Speaker 5 (32:48):
This does not.

Speaker 6 (32:49):
When you wear it, it has like a layer. You
feel it right, so you're protected. There's a lot of
details into this that open my eyes, justin Thomas. First
of all, the story behind he went into creating this product.
He had an issue. I mean he almost lost the
damn leg, believe it or not, due to a sun

(33:10):
spot that could have been cancerous.

Speaker 5 (33:12):
You know. Go further, if you go to wear SPF
dot com, the story is right there.

Speaker 4 (33:16):
You'll read it.

Speaker 6 (33:17):
And that's why he decided to create this brand. And
there's no bad you know ingredients in here. It's safe
for your kids. You could scan it. There's a story
out there about scanning it. For people to have those
barcode scanners on their iPhones that will tell you what
product is good and what's not. Go ahead and scan
this and tell me what you get. It's incredible of
it's like five stars. No lie, no bs. I'm not

(33:38):
even being paid for it.

Speaker 5 (33:39):
I'm not.

Speaker 6 (33:40):
We are teamed up with them over at swinging and
ding it good people, but I am using it right now.

Speaker 4 (33:44):
Wear SPF.

Speaker 6 (33:45):
So go ahead, and so get yourself a Canada for
the summertime. All right, let's keep it moving other side.
Let's talk a little bit about the NBA Finals. Seanmanard
is gonna join me coming up at five o'clock. Here's
the deal. Is this series over? That's the question that
I'm asking myself right now. And ah, unfortunately I don't
like the answer that I'm giving. I'll break it down

(34:05):
for you a little bit more, and we will go
over the history. The history behind a road team favored
in Game three of the NBA Finals doesn't happen often,
but when it does, it catches your attention. And here
we are tomorrow night, five and a half point spread,
okase favorite on the road against the Pacers. Let's talk

(34:26):
a little bit more about Game three NBA Finals, look
back at Game two.

Speaker 5 (34:29):
A lot to get to daily.

Speaker 1 (34:30):
Ticket more for this spring is in the air, and
it's time to swing for the fences. Our MLB coverage
is bringing heat all season long.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
Everybody moves up ninety fee.

Speaker 1 (34:41):
Be sure to catch Luke Arcaney and Sean Brace on
the daily ticket. Only one place that covers all the action.
It's the Gambler
