the show with a monster upset in the NBA playoffs?
Are you kidding me? That's the type energy you give me?
After you go into Cleveland, who had the best record

(01:25):
in the East, who some are saying we're going to
give the Boss and Celtics a run for their money
to get to the NBA front. You go in and
steal game one. You're like, eh, eight point five, Wow,
we're giving away. We're gonna be giving away some prizes,
cash and prizes today. I get I gotta hit him
with the wrong answer out there, jump Yeah, I'd be

(01:47):
popping bottles well, that's you know, there's a line. There's
a line Luke right, yeah, well, yeah, great, it's always on.
Great to see you. There's always a line, come on,
Especially what we do here, there's always a lone come on.
But and it's going to be perfect because a lot
of NBA basketball front and center. We had Game seven's
that were both duds. Not so much in the NHL.

(02:11):
We'll talk a little bit about that. Are you are
you kidding me?

Speaker 4 (02:15):
Are you kidding me? Dude?

Speaker 2 (02:16):
How many people you think actually watch How many people
you think actually saw that final second literally two seconds
of regulation to push it to overtime between the Winnipeg Jets.
How many people do you think saw that Game seven?

Speaker 1 (02:31):
I would say way more people saw the overtime than
they saw.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
The first three periods.

Speaker 1 (02:36):
I was, I was, I was actually watching the newest
episode of the Last of Us. Been been loving that
show Resound If you've watched it, I haven't watched a
great show.

Speaker 4 (02:45):
Good show. Well you don't, come on, come on, that's brutal.
What you don't like that show?

Speaker 2 (02:52):
Last of Us?

Speaker 1 (02:52):
Is?

Speaker 2 (02:53):
I hate watch it? It's a brutal watch, Yes it is.
Come on, man, This season has been a dud.

Speaker 4 (03:01):
Last night was a setup episode.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
They're all setups. That's what you always say, That's what
people always tell me.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
To the episode two was set up.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
I don't want to be no spoiler on here, but
all right, whatever, that's.

Speaker 4 (03:13):
Besides the point.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
We got Phillies, we had NBA playoffs, we got hockey.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
It was three to one with a minute and seventeen
seconds left and they went in double over time.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
That was That was incredible last night. Good sports weekend,
real real good.

Speaker 2 (03:29):
I agree, I agree, front and center. Of course. NBA basketball,
the Phillies take two of three, battled back a little
bit yesterday. Fun game to be at if you did
venture down there and held off with the rain. I
don't want to say you were rewarded because they end
up losing the game, but hell, when you throw up
numbers like that runs across the plate, you know, it's
a fun game to be at From time to time.

(03:50):
They're not going to go one sixty two and oh,
as we know, but we have a lot to discuss
as far as the Phillies are concerned, and moves rotational,
all that and more. Of course, you've been keeping up
the table. What's happening as far as the farm system
is concerned, where I think a lot of our attention
needs to be as well. We'll go around Major League
Baseball from the league perspective as well, setting up shop though,

(04:11):
if I could real quick, first and foremost, today's a
crazy day on the show. We got a lot of
stuff to give away, and it's up to you out there,
you people out there, if you want to win the
cash and prizes. All right today right from the jump,
Luke Rcaney, every day is something special, and today actually
hits me a little a little closer to heart than normal,

(04:34):
as I think we lost you on the VID. There
you are, You're back. Today's National Hogy Day. Luke Rcaney
and our fine friends over at Primo Hogies have hooked
us up with a couple of gift cards to give away.
And all I'm gonna say is, if you place the
losing wager, Luke Arcaney and myself we want to hook
you up and the folks over at Primos, if you

(04:55):
place the losing wager this weekend from Friday through Sunday,
he just call in, tell us what it was. We'll
talk a little bit about that play. What you would
have done differently, maybe something that's on your agenda for tonight,
and you're going home with a fifty dollars premo gift card.
Fifty dollars. You can buy a lot of Hokies for
fifty dollars.

Speaker 4 (05:13):
Oh yeah, big time.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Tell you what if I was able to enter this,
I would have to spin a wheel with what losing
wager I would choose from this weekend.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
Not a good that.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
Rough hasn't hasn't really been a good last few weeks
for me. A bit of a cold streak here that happens.
He said, you gotta get cold before you get hot.
That's it. That's what they say.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
At least, well hopefully you do get hot. And of
course we got the truest Championship in our backyard, so
we're giving away another pair of tickets to the truest
Championship that would be taking place from Thursday to Sunday.
No Scotti, Scheffler, no Scottie. But Scotty was doing big
things down there in Texas. What did he finish? Thirty

(05:59):
two wonder thirty one under unbelievable on.

Speaker 1 (06:05):
His putt on eighteen would have broke the all time
PGA record, and he missed it, so he tied the
all time record.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
Well but I mean one under. It's just it's just absurd.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
Scotty's allowing the boys to have some fun this week.
It is a signature event, No Cuts All, taking place
at the Philadelphia Cricket Club. It's a hick and course.
We got a bunch of tickets to give away. We
started last week. We're playing Birdie or Bogie. All you
gotta do is call up at three point fifty five,
get on our contest line. Will randomly select a caller there,

(06:38):
ask if three questions. You got to get two out
of three right, and you could be winning a pair
of tickets to the Truest Championship, taking place once again
Thursday through Sunday. We are going to be out there
on Wednesday with the Creator Classic. I'll be doing a
show from out there. It's gonna be a little all
over the all over the place because right now we're
dealing with this thing called weather. It's very unfortunate that

(06:58):
Mother Nature's rearing her ugly head. When last week, at
this point in time, hell, even Friday, I'm looking at
the radar going, dude, we're dry now. Now it looks
like I don't know if we're going to be dry
other than Mother's Day, which if you are. If you
have the opportunity to go on Mother's Day, I salute you.
Most people I know can't, and that's why tickets are

(07:19):
pretty cheap on Sunday. But knock yourself up. I do
know this though. Also want to put this out there
because I am a man on the street. Luke R. Kenny.
I you know, there was a time in my day
that I would put up my the things that I
hear up against anybody. Now you're a little young guy,
so you don't know. A guy, a boy the name

(07:40):
of Dan Gross, he used to do this calumn in
the Philadelphia Daily News to inquire around town, like, you know,
oh this person was here and this person was eating there,
and it used to be a hell of a lot,
bigger deal and it doesn't even exist to a point anymore.
But I don't know if it's the fact that people are,
you know, on social media, and people are no longer

(08:03):
hard to be found because they're oh, I'm eating at
Barclay Prime. Well here's a post. Oh yeah, they're eating
at Barklay Prime. Right, Why digress? There was a time
that I was hearing things well before Dan Gross was
or you know, look teach their own on that sort
of deal. He had his connects, I have my connects whatever.
Over the years, have still had my ear to the

(08:23):
road to hear what's happening and what I'm hearing now,
which should be no surprise because when it was in
Marion the US Open a few years ago, when Justin
Rose won it, all of the golfers essentially stayed in
Concha Hawk and slash mainline understood. With Marion, I am
being told if you are in Concha Hoc and keep

(08:44):
your head on a swivel. That's all I'm saying. There
was a brand new hotel built a couple of years ago.
Of course, there's two other hotels right in the vicinity
of Fayette, so it shouldn't surprise anybody. But it's where
I live. We're talking about the best of the best too.
I don't know if that green jacket will be out
in the town, but keep your head on a swivel

(09:06):
if you're in the area. That'd be pretty cool. If
all of a sudden you look up a light and
there's Rory.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
I'm just saying, Hey, now.

Speaker 2 (09:11):
I was thinking, you know, look, Rory is a diehard
Manchester United fan, and as bad as they've been, I'm
a United guy to it as well. What if I
stood outside the hotel and hopefully I'm right with my
thought that he's there, with a sign that said just
one minute on Manchester United, I need your ear Rory,

(09:31):
and I held up the sign and a Manchester United
red kit for a full day two days. Do you
think he would stop?

Speaker 4 (09:40):
Maybe? I don't know. It depends on times.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
Tea time is if he's got an early tea time Thursday,
maybe not.

Speaker 4 (09:45):
Maybe if he's later in the day.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
I think they come in earlier. Yeah, oh well, I
mean yeah.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
They'll they'll be in there.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Well, they usually do practice rounds, correct, So they usually
I don't know what time the creator is, but they
usually to do a Wednesday practice round before every torn correct.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
So I was saying, Tuesday, Tuesday and Wednesday. If I
stood out, if I just said, you know what, I'm
not leaving, I gotta sign up that said I want
to talk to Rory about Manchester unighted? Would he come
and say what's up to me?

Speaker 4 (10:15):
I don't know. Just make sure you record it. If
you do Yeah, definitely, I think so.

Speaker 1 (10:20):
I mean they they'll probably be coming in tonight, right,
I would I would think a lot of those guys
would be probably getting into the Philly area tonight.

Speaker 2 (10:28):
Yeah, because you look at it from where look at
the end of the day, they're going to meet up
with sponsors. They're gonna meet up like Tuesday nights, you know,
at dinner night, they'll be out in the main line.
They're gonna be eating all over the place. You know,
maybe in Center City, who knows, but probably not.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
And uh getting getting a premogi.

Speaker 2 (10:49):
There you go. There is one in contracking. Well, if
he's listening to the show, Rory, you can get yourself
fifty dour a gift card to Primos or hell you
get even wear a bear of tickets when a parent
tickets to the True Championship. Coming up at four o'clock,
we have Sam Austrey of course needed Sam or Sean
one or the other on the show today to talk
about the NBA Playoffs. He's going to join us at
four o five and then a little two for Double

(11:09):
Connection Picks and Roll Live Edition. The boys were together,
Sam and Sean. That's coming your way at five o'clock.
Of course, we got Luke Arcaney with us. He does
a great job covering the Phillies for US and crossing
broad so I want to open up there. Of course,
we jabbed at the NBA playoffs a little bit of
a dud with the seven game seven's. We knew that
James Harden, who believe it or not, set a record.

(11:32):
This is pretty impressive. Did you know that? He said
a record.

Speaker 4 (11:36):
Yeah, it's not a good record.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Oh, it's an incredible record to put this on your resume.
He is the fourth player in NBA history to lose
a game seven for four different franchises. I mean, if
that doesn't say like, yeah, don't count on me in
this moment, then I don't know what you've been paying
attention to, yestall. That's an incredible record to own by

(11:59):
James and Chill bro dude, who's very popular on the
timeline when it comes to basketball. He nailed it because
he was calling this out like in game four, It's like,
I'm telling you, it's gonna have a good game six,
it's gonna go back to seven and he's going to
lay eight. Dud. He took eight shots. He's the lowest

(12:20):
point total out of those game seven is that he's
played in took place last night? I like, what is
it about James Harden, because we know what it is
when it comes to Ben Simmons, right, mentally, he doesn't
have it.

Speaker 4 (12:35):
I don't know, he just doesn't do it at all.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
The thing with Harden, Harden puts up twenty five shots
a game, like on a.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
Regular So is it a game seven? Just a mental breakdown?

Speaker 4 (12:47):
Maybe the dude's got the game seven yips.

Speaker 1 (12:50):
I don't know, man, Like, I don't know, but like,
I mean, we saw it here, We've seen it in Houston,
like we've seen.

Speaker 4 (12:56):
It everywhere everywhere he's played.

Speaker 1 (12:57):
So is that everywhere that he's played he's lost a
game seven? Yeah, right, because he lost one in Houston,
he lost one in Brooklyn, he lost one in Philly,
and he lost one with the Clippers.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
Yeah, it's pretty impressive. He's going to the Hall of Fame.
We know that that needs to be on the U
you know, on.

Speaker 1 (13:15):
The plays should be in the little small font I'm
pretty impressive by James Harden.

Speaker 2 (13:19):
Again, eight shots, Like, I don't care if you lose,
you can lose the game. I didn't have you win it.
I went to a zero in those game sevens. I
didn't expect you to win that game.

Speaker 1 (13:30):
I'd rather you lose putting up twenty five shots, which
James James Harden, Dude, let it fly. You're a hooper,
you're a shooter.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
Eight.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
That's bad. That's bad, all right, And I see we're
going on and I want to mix it in. But
this is what we do here. We have fun, that's
all right. Also, since I'm complaining about previous players for
the seventy six years organization, can we talk about Buddy
Healed and his thirty three points last night?

Speaker 4 (13:59):
Ex there's legends? Dude, what a game by Buddy? Where
is what a game?

Speaker 1 (14:04):
Is this?

Speaker 4 (14:05):
Where was this? Nothing? Sean? You need to understand. And
I don't know if you've understood this not now.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
I don't help me.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
Can somebody leaves the Sixers, they automatically become better. It's
just it's it's just how things work. Like wait till
somebody from this team go another team next year. It's
it's just I mean, every time, it's it's the it's him,
It's it's just it's it's I mean, it's everybody, Like
I feel like more players that leave the Sixers play
better after they were in Philly than while they were

(14:33):
in Philly.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
It's just six I get it.

Speaker 2 (14:37):
When you look at the numbers, the totality of it,
nothing's really all that much different from what he was
with the Sixers. I believe, I don't believe. I think
maybe percentage wise, but thirty three points in the game seven.

Speaker 1 (14:49):
Body heeled leading score of a game. Seven, Like, what
are we doing?

Speaker 4 (14:52):
Man? Doing a right?

Speaker 2 (14:56):
Yeah, we'll come back. We'll talk a little bit more.
NBA playoffs. We've got a lot to get two from
the weekend, and of course we've got some great games
coming up, no doubt about the draft kicks. Where we're
getting our numbers from two games going off this evening.
Some important, some very very very important stats trends to
as well when it comes to both of these games,
this evening one more than the other though that you

(15:19):
want to hear before you hit some on that wage.
And now the almighty Egualizer is the point spread, no
doubt about it. We're at nine and a half. Okay,
see favorite here Celtics or nine point favorites. Two big spreads,
Interesting trends and numbers coming your way. I'll have that
free about three thirty five over to the Phillies, though,
lou Car Kenny, let's talk about two three on the weekend,

(15:42):
of course, came up short yesterday. What is your big
takeaway if there was somebody that was a Phillies fan
that you had a lot to do this weekend and
a lot on the list, and I know, man, I'm
dealing with. I got one kid. I got one kid,
a five year old. Who oh, by the way.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
Bring, oh yeah, let's bring it.

Speaker 2 (16:02):
Bring. Bringing a tear to my eye right now, Luke Carcaney,
as I say to their flowers, a little bit here,
come on, My girl. Kendall took first place in a
karate tournament this this weekend. Uh in Concha Hocken Delstafo's
Karate and our del Stofice Martial Arts. Excuse me, and
uh in her age group she took first place. The

(16:24):
girl was loud, very vocal, and UH just did her
Starbucks Starblocks set and was awesome. And she took first
place and got this huge trophy, her first trophy in
her lifetime. And it was awesome. It was a great
scene and UH, one that I will always remember but
I am a little bit whiny right now because she

(16:45):
had pictures for her little league tea, her quickball team.
We had pictures for karate on Friday. We had a
tournament on Friday. We're back to like, this is a
five year old that I have one. Like, if you
have multiple kids, and it's especially if they're seven, eight, nine, ten,
you don't have weekends. Dude, you don't have weekends. Your

(17:06):
weekends are cooked.

Speaker 4 (17:08):
Your weekends about five years. Give yourself about five years,
big dog.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
I know I'm screwed, man, but this is crazy. This
was what all it was this weekend. I was running
around like a maniac. But and like, I am nothing
on the Richter scale compared to other people with their kids.
Right Just one dude, Seawan, He's an assistant coach on
two different teams in our league. This one son is
like in literally the other one's in quickball. She had
a daughter that's doing softball. It's like, is that it?

(17:35):
Your life is now all about your kids' sports? Is
that that's what it is? I didn't know. I mean,
I'm cool, I'm cool. I'll do it. I'm in as
long as I can get a tea time in the morning,
if we can squeez exactly, we can squeeze in that
little thing.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
That's the thing we got to make sure, you know,
the t ball in the crate afternoon something like that.
As long as we have room for the occasional time
in there, I think we should be okay.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
All right. Well again, over to the Phillies. If somebody
missed they were running around from this weekend. Other than
the fact that it took to three, I guess they
really good arison a Diamondbacks team in my opinion, What
was your big takeaway, sir?

Speaker 1 (18:12):
Yeah, nineteen runs against a good Diamondbacks team. I think
so far this Steven, I think there's two, you know,
facets of the team. I think you can make the
argument that have been the biggest concern. I think the
bullpen one and and the lineup two. And I think
you can put those in whatever order you want. I

(18:33):
don't really necessarily think I disagree with either, But it
was it was nice as to Phillies go out there
against a good team and and hit the baseball.

Speaker 4 (18:44):
There there was I mean, obviously Friday Nights.

Speaker 1 (18:47):
Game was a low scoring, close one, but just watching them,
you know, hit the ball and and and not take
these you know, two one games into the and he's
won nothing games into the six.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
Like going out there early and just like beating up
on a start.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
I think that's that's been some some difficulty for them
this year is is they're scoring runs, but a lot
of their runs, specifically early in the season were off
of relievers and and not starters. It was a lot
of late games scoring and I guess, you know, if
you'd rather score, I guess it.

Speaker 4 (19:25):
Would be later than earlier.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
But just watching them go out and continue to hit
the ball, I think the lineup's really starting to find
its groove now. Obviously, Harper with the home run yesterday,
I think that was just really big for him.

Speaker 4 (19:40):
Obviously he didn't.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
You know, get that big moment in what the ninth
or the tenth there where he could have won the game,
and and and he spoke after the game and said, yeah,
you know, it was nice to hit the home run,
but obviously I want to be the guy in that
that later moment.

Speaker 4 (19:57):
Listen, I think we all know Tarper still is that
guy in those big moment. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
Or we are forty games into the season, not even
at this point, but it's like he's just a little
frustrated right now. Just the overall thing. He's had a
bit of a slow start of the year, but you're
getting contributions from.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
Guys that you need to get contributions from.

Speaker 1 (20:19):
Nick Castianus's strikeout rate is the lowest of his career
by far.

Speaker 4 (20:24):
Max Kepler's really starting to find his swing.

Speaker 1 (20:26):
Trey Turner's had like twenty hits in his last twelve games,
something like that. This this lineup is starting to really
find its groove.

Speaker 4 (20:35):
I mean, obviously we know what Schwerber's doing right now.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
He's he's on pace to hit fifty two homers right now.
It would be the first time he's ever hit fifty
plus in a season. Maybe that, you know, track doesn't continue,
but as of right now.

Speaker 4 (20:53):
He is, he is on pace to hit over fifty.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
I will say I think the bullpens a lot better
this last week, week and a half than it was
to start the season. Okay, yesterday, unfortunately, they just ran
into a bad season debut from Ranger and basically had
to burn all of their pitchers yesterday. If they had
remaining relievers, they wouldn't have went to Carlos Hernandez in

(21:18):
the tenth and they wouldn't have thrown Jose Alvarado two innings,
but that's just sort of what they had to do.
So I don't really put much, you know, into that
ending yesterday. But what I do put in yesterday is
that it was it was nice to see them fight.
That's easily a game that in the fifth inning they
can be checked out of and say, hey, we already

(21:40):
won the series. We have an off day tomorrow, let's
just go get them on you know, Wednesday or tomorrow
in down south in Tampa Bay.

Speaker 4 (21:49):
But instead of.

Speaker 1 (21:50):
Doing that, they got a three run homer from from
Weston Wilson and and they just continued to battle yesterday,
which I thought was big for them because I think
yesterday's game showed, you know, some portion of this fan
base that you know, is out on a baseball team
thirty five games in the season.

Speaker 4 (22:09):
You know, they they.

Speaker 1 (22:10):
Continue to fight, They're they're not this team that just
rolls over and and they're still a very good baseball team.
So they won a big series against a good Diamondbacks team.
That was really the biggest takeaway for the weekend.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Yeah, I agree, and I know that you were getting
some slack about a tweet you put out before the
series that people weren't understanding. Merril Kelly and.

Speaker 4 (22:31):
Yeah, people don't understand memes. Now. It's sad. I don't
know what world we're living in, but I thought that.

Speaker 2 (22:37):
Was a pretty easy one to understand too.

Speaker 4 (22:39):
Yeah, it's just.

Speaker 1 (22:40):
It's just the typical PTSD, you know, meme of going back,
and people didn't really understand that.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
One eleven and nine was your final score yesterday. Of course,
as Luke Arcadie pointed out, great stuff over at Crossing
broad fantastic follow if you don't already and not thinks
socials Arcadie, Luke all one word right there, Trey Turner
at the top, one for six, Trey Turner. I'll tell
you what. I don't know if this happens over in Jersey,
but it definitely happens in PI. I went to multiple

(23:07):
stops over the last like four days, and I'll tell
you what. People have venom for Trey. They have venoms
for Trey, and I look, I get it. He's not
the best shortstop. If somebody said he's the fourth best
shortstop on the team, like I just you know that bad?
Is that bad? He's hitting two ninety seven this year.

(23:30):
Let me ask you about the power numbers though, because
I do believe there could be something there if you
want to take a shot. What is your thoughts what's
the expectation for Trey Turner going into a season, you know,
twenty plus bombs? I think he had that last year.
It was a down year for him. We all know.
But you know, this is a guy that I was
saying could very well play himself into an n L

(23:52):
MVP caliber player. I don't think he's going to win
it by no means. I would never say that because
there is a guy by the name of show Hey
in the league, especially to Nashley. But Trey Turner balls
out man and last year it wasn't you know, an
overstated you know, the thing to bring to the table.
If you said, Tray Turner is my preseason you know

(24:14):
NL MVP, there were plenty of people with that ticket.
But you look at the home runs twenty one last year,
twenty six, twenty one year before, so right around that
number twenty plus he's got one on the season. What's
your thoughts when somebody starts there as far as an
anti Trey Young take, Well, he's not hitting the ball
out of the yard anymore.

Speaker 4 (24:35):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
So so there was a big So there was an
article from I believe, Anthony sam Fillipo. They asked Rob Thompson,
I believe, before Sunday's game about sort of the approach
for Trey this year, and Rob Thompson basically said that
they spoke before the season, him and Trey, and Rob

(24:59):
basically told him that I want you to get on base,
and I want you to focus on your own base
percentage and stealing bases and scoring runs. He basically told Turner,
I don't need twenty five thirty home runs out of you.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
Obviously, Yeah, it would be nice to have it.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
But if you're a guy like Trey, and you have
Harper hitting behind you, and Schwarber hitting behind you, and
a guy like Nick Castillano's behind you, you don't need
Trey Turner to go out there swinging for the fence.
You need Trey Turner to go out there and raise
his on base percentage, get on base, be a havoc
on the base paths, and score runs. And that's exactly

(25:39):
what he's done so far. He's I will say, he's
hitting a lot of singles, but I think those extra
base numbers will just start to go up naturally. But
it's pretty obvious that he's taking more of a contact
approach this year, and I think it's helped the Phillies
offense so far. I think, I mean, I mean, everybody

(26:01):
since Trey's signed here and since you know, the whole
early season struggle is first year, is just everyone's loved
to point out Trey's batting average, which is funny because
when I point out batting average for other players, I'm
told that batting average doesn't matter. But then when a
guy's down in the dumps, batting average matters. So it's

(26:24):
hard for me to sit here because I really liked
what I've seen from Trey so far this year. But
you know, last year it was the batting average is
too low, and and this year it's, well, now he's
not hitting enough home runs. I've started to come to
the point that Trey Turner will never win based off
of this fan base, and I I don't really know why,

(26:50):
because listen, I get it. Maybe people don't want him
signed for eight more years for a total sum of
two hundred and twenty five million dollars, but he's doing
just about everything he needs to do right now, I'll
tell you this, He's had a better season at the
plate than Bryce Harper. I know a lot of people
won't want to say that because Bryce Harper is the
golden child here in Philly, but Bryce has been struggling.

(27:14):
Man Like I just people, people need to take the
blinders off a little because we live in a city
where once a guy has one bad season, he won't
live it down for the rest of his career. And
people need to realize that that Trey Turner is continuing
to get on base and he's probably been the third

(27:35):
or maybe third most consistent hitter on the Phillies this year.

Speaker 4 (27:39):
He's he's had a really nice start to his season
at the plate.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
Yes, I think his defense is another you know conversation.
It just seems like he's he's never comfortable out at
short style. It just seems like he's kind of just
like a little jittery out there. But you know, as
far as at the plate, I've I've started to realize
that I don't think that guy will ever win the
fan base over. But what I've seen from Trey so

(28:06):
far this year, I've I've been impressed.

Speaker 4 (28:09):
From his first two years in Philadelphia.

Speaker 2 (28:11):
Yeah, of course you have to say that because he
has been a stud. It's just it is concerning with
those numbers. You're like, Wow, what what is the deal there?
And it's one of those things that definitely people have
a right to pay attention to. I just don't know
why you'd be so negative to believe that he's not
going to be a not going to bounce out of it.
And then b just take a look at the bigger

(28:33):
picture here. He is hitting close to three hundred. He
is playing on a winning baseball team, and for the
most part, I look, when you start ranking the issues
with this Phillies team, I don't know if Trey Turner's
pop is at the top of my list. All right,
hang on, would say, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls.
It is National Hogy Day here, Luke Arcaney, and uh

(28:59):
who doesn't Who doesn't love a good hogy, especially from Primos.
So our friends over at Primos have hooked us up
with a few gift cards to give away a National
Hogy Day. And all you got to do is call
the contest line with the caveat that you placed the
losing wager that you did place a losing wager this

(29:19):
weekend because we want to hook the people up. You know,
it's tough to win out there, both on and off
the field, but at the end of the day, we
want to hook you up because that's what we do
on the gamblers. So number one, it's head to the
contest line. Call her. You're on the air. What's your name?
Going on? Boys, it's showing Sean how we do today? Man?
Great name. First of all, where you calling from, Sean.

Speaker 4 (29:40):

this weekend.

Speaker 2 (29:55):

fifty dollars card courtesy of our friends over at Primo's Hogies.
A simple question. Did you place a losing wager this
weekend Friday, Saturday, Sunday?

Speaker 4 (30:10):
I did, Yes. I've placed a lot of losing wagers
in my life.

Speaker 2 (30:14):
Friday night was no different. All right, So Friday night
you placed the wager on? What was it?

Speaker 4 (30:20):
I took Jets money line live after the first period,
and then they decided to give up four oh second period.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah no, not exactly how you
draw it up when you play when you place the
wager on uh on the live action money line. But
with that being said, yesterday, did you tune into the
game last night? I did, all right?

Speaker 4 (30:43):
Now, massive one.

Speaker 2 (30:44):
Unbelievable result. They're trailing by two goals with about a minute,
about ninety seconds to go, they send it the overtime,
it goes to WoT boys. This is how the game
winner sounded north of the border if you watched the
line traffic to fucking that front. But the captain and

(31:05):
Lowry Jet fin jetquin Jet.

Speaker 4 (31:09):
Win double over time.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
How about that? Now? I do know the Winnipeg Jets
were a popular play with the Gambler gang folks and
a couple of people out there as well. Just to
let everybody know, Winnipeg's still money to be made on
the Jets if you're believing that things that are working
in their favor. And that result last night was just
unbelievable against Saint Louis nine to one to win Lord

(31:35):
Stanley Cup. Right now as we speak, Sean, I'll tell
you what. I can't go back in time and give
you a winning wager on Friday. But what I can
do is hook you up once again. Our fine friends
over at Primo's Hogies. We're gonna give you a fifty
dollars gift card. You and the boys eat up good

screen in your living room and enjoy and stuff your

a ton to discuss from the weekend and as we
look forward to the Truest Championship in our I'll tell

(33:00):
you what. We're gonna be there Wednesday. We're gonna be
there Friday, front and center, swinging and ding a Moose
Mays Danielle. They're ready to go. Everybody's all golfed up
around the Delaware Valley because of the Truest Champship. A
lot of fun. We'll talk more about that with Luke Arcaney,
our best golfer. Do you know I took took a
lesson last week? Did you dial? Yeah?

Speaker 4 (33:19):
There it is good dial. I tell everybody.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
I tell everybody that wants to get better but still
isn't confident in their game.

Speaker 4 (33:27):
This is the first thing I say, instead.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
Of going out on a Saturday morning one week yep
and playing around yep, take that money and get a lesson.

Speaker 2 (33:37):
All right, one lesson? So no, I did it a
step further. I've only taken one one lesson in my lifetime.
I've been playing golf for twenty plus years. I only
think about how stupid that is one lesson my whole
entire career or whatever. Here we are, so look I
link up with this dude. Eric's he changed one thing, Luke,
one thing. You're ready, yep. So I get out their

(33:58):
short game. We go short game. That's that's where it
all falls apart. I can hit the drives. I can
hit my long irons. I love. My favorite club is
seven iron one fifty five out back. I'm good, I'm golden.
I love it buttting well, but you get me around
the green and I just shank everything. So what I
did was what I was doing was I was bringing

(34:19):
the club inside, right like, I'm opening the club face
and I'm bringing it inside and then coming down. He's like, no, man,
You're like, you're you're backwards. He's like, first of all,
why are you opening the club face? If you want
just grab the sixty right that's I'm like, Okay. The
light bulb goes off, and then he's talking about you
gotta allow your hands to get inside. You gotta have

(34:42):
you gotta have clearance to get to the ball. So
now now I'm going out.

Speaker 4 (34:50):
It's out the end, baby, It's all us out to In.

Speaker 2 (34:54):
Book, I told you I was hitting a seven iron
one fifty five. That was before my lesson. I'm cleaning house.
That thing's going next to ten yards, bro, I'm hitting it,
crisp clean. They are the one lesson. I bought my
green jacket, Rory, I'm coming for it.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
Speaking of golf, I made a bit of a purchase
this week. Every golf Ooh, brand new golf brand, Gus,
guess what I got.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
That's a tease. Luke Hurcane bought something brand new for
the golf bag, something that involves golf. Okay, we'll find
out on the other side. That's a great tease because
tell you what, Luke, he'll go out there and he'll
shoot a magnificent round. You shot how many? How many
rounds have you played so far this year?

Speaker 4 (35:44):
Probably too many?

Speaker 2 (35:45):
What's your lowest.

Speaker 4 (35:48):
Lowis this year? Was an eighty.

Speaker 2 (35:52):
Shot?

Speaker 4 (35:53):
But yeah, eighty Okay, the price is wrong, bitch thirty
nine on nine two weeks ago. But haven't put a
sub eighty yet this year? Oh have last year?

Speaker 2 (36:08):
Oh? Eighties not good enough for Luke Garcandy. I love it.

Speaker 4 (36:11):
That's no, it's not no.

Speaker 1 (36:13):
No. My my goal, my goal for the end of
this golf season is for my personal.

Speaker 2 (36:18):
Babyis all right, all right, alright, take it down and axbroa.
I gotta go ahead and get out the bet. Just
hose you down. Anyways.

Speaker 4 (36:30):
I just want to win the swinging and ding it
open in October.

Speaker 2 (36:33):
That's right, all right. Well, with that being said, other side,
we got plenty to discuss from the weekend. You got
a chance to win a Primo's gift card, Curtsey of
our friends, of our Premos fifty dollars gift card. It
is a National Hoki Day. Having some fun there, three
fifty five good away a parent tickets to a Chewiest Championship.
And on the other side, Luke can't tell us what
he just bought for his golf bag. It's to daily
