Speaker 1 (00:00):
Number one on your car radio preset hand the new
and improved Iheard Radio apps WDS and WD two seven
three deep Philadelphia, I is Fox Sports Radio. The Gambler.

Speaker 2 (00:27):
Swinging a fly ball deep right field. Archer working back
at the warning track, turns it the wall. It's gone
into the bullpen for a two run homer and the
Phillies get it started early. Trey Turner puts him on top.
Two nothing, no outs in the first not played since
that first inning on the twenty seventh. Now he drives
the O two deep to right field, Barjarre at the wall.

Speaker 3 (00:48):
It's gone again.

Speaker 2 (00:49):
Solo homer for Harper is first at back back and
the Phillies go back to back to make it three
nothing in the first.

Speaker 4 (00:57):
And the three two bitch swung on and hit well
down the left field line. Schneider giving Chase's looking up
and that ball is gone.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
Another home run for Trade.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
Turner is second of the day, his seventh of the year,
and he gets that run back for the Phills.

Speaker 3 (01:12):
It's eight to one.

Speaker 4 (01:14):
One oh pitch swung online, drive left field, not deep
and comes Kefler and he makes the catch for the
final out. Nice job by Carlos Hernandez here in the
ninth and one, two three go the Blue Jays and
the Phillies hold on to win this one eight to three.

Speaker 5 (01:30):
Oh how about that? Back to their winning ways. A
beautiful night north of the border in Tarata as the
Fightings jumped on him early eighth to three year final score.
Of course, you just heard the sounds from the Blue
Jays Radio network and Greg Murphy filling in for Scott
Franski who was on the television call Philadelphia Phillies Radio Network,

(01:54):
joining me from the jump as we are steering this
train back to the World Series. Philly's putting an end
to the four game skid. Kyle Fisher Kyle Fisher forty
five on all things socials, and it's great to have
Kyle in his midweek spot here. Always love to kick
a few things his way. You can find him and
read all of his content over at Philly Sports Network.

(02:16):
We are going to talk to some NFL today. Damn
it all right, I got the juices going. Did you
hear did you hear Coyle Herd before us? Who wasn't Coward?
It was Jason mactyre. But they were talking about the visions.
The guy Adam Scherenoff who I believe Churnough Trnough. Yeah,
that's his name. He's a big sports handicapper. He was
talking about how he's got the Eagles on the under

(02:36):
win total. I love that.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
Okay, give it to me.

Speaker 6 (02:41):
Early off season, juice Sean. Let's get it going.

Speaker 5 (02:44):
Man, great to have you. How are we doing today, Kyle.
Hottest day of the year so far, my friend.

Speaker 6 (02:49):
Yes, I was not prepared for that. My office is
extremely warm, so uh, I'll try and keep the stains
out of the window here for you so we don't
distract the viewers. But other than that, Man, great day
so far. Just excite the hop on with the tops
and ball all right.

Speaker 5 (03:04):
Well, you know, of course, any Major League Baseball discussion
always starts and ends with the time of the year, right,
and it's June fourth to June third, last night.

Speaker 3 (03:13):
I would like to.

Speaker 5 (03:14):
Ask you this because we always and you're a guy
that's on the sidelines, You're a guy that's in the
locker rooms. You're a guy that's all over the place
when it comes to the NFL down at the Ballyard
Sister's Bank Park inside the locker rooms there, so you
you could speak a little bit about this from the
experience and being around these teams and these guys weekly, daily,
whatever it is. I just isn't it funny Like when

(03:37):
you lose a guy like Bryce Harper and it's obvious
how important he is on the field, but when he
steps back out there and and he misses a few
games and just what he brings to the team as
far as leadership and there's got there's something else that
hit me last night. It's just like you can't see it,

(03:57):
you can't touch it. You could talk about it, which
we're going to do here. It's just a calming force,
just a round the whole team that the captain in
his back, Bryce Harper is back in this lineup.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
But of course he goes yard again.

Speaker 5 (04:12):
We can measure that, we can talk about the exit
or the box score at the end of the day
and say, yeah, he hit a home runner his first
at bat back.

Speaker 3 (04:18):
You just heard it.

Speaker 5 (04:19):
But there's just something else about having him back in
the lineup.

Speaker 3 (04:22):
And yeah, they lost.

Speaker 5 (04:24):
Four straight, three of them with four four of them, yeah,
four of them, all of them without him. So it
just goes to show you how important Bryce Harper really
is to this whole damn deal, both on and off
the field.

Speaker 6 (04:37):
Yeah, I mean there's something that he said about being
a superstar.

Speaker 1 (04:40):
Right.

Speaker 6 (04:41):
You bring in a guy like Bryce Harper at the
start of what is now this playoff run for the
Phillies to be a difference maker, both to help recruit
other stars because they know the impact of this guy
has to be that guy who steps up in the
biggest moments and loves the spotlight when he's in the lineup,
even when he's not performing his best. Go back to
when he just got back from Tommy John surgery and

(05:02):
was playing DH and wasn't really didn't have a power surge,
just yet his presence in the lineup means so much. Right,
what do we call what are the younger kids called it?
He has aura. When his name is the lineup, you
know that something special could happen at any moment. And
not only do you as his teammate know that and
his manager know that, but the other team has to

(05:24):
be aware of that too. Even if he didn't hit
the home run last night, right, he still was someone
who was considered a threat. They had to pitch around him.
He ended up drawing two walks. Of course, it feels
great to get that home run right out of the way,
and Thompson very through like almost like a proud grin
after the game yesterday said, nothing really surprises me about
this guy anymore. You know, he hasn't faced live pitching

(05:46):
in a week, and of course he comes out and
it's a home run. What else is gonna happen? So
there is something to be said about having that presence
of a true bonafide superstar and what he can bring
as far as juice to you team.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
Yeah, Harbor Go.

Speaker 5 (06:00):
We discussed at a ton yesterday on the show. Great
day had by the Gambler game. We went downtown, hung
out with the folks at the F one Arcade that
just opened up.

Speaker 3 (06:09):
Yeah, it was incredible. Are you an F one guy?
Are you a racing guy?

Speaker 6 (06:14):
Not really, but I wanted to check that place out
for sure.

Speaker 3 (06:16):
It's definitely interesting.

Speaker 5 (06:17):
I'll talk a little bit more about that coming up
a little bit later with you because I have a
question about it. And okay, it was fantastic, well worked
your stop. We'll discuss a little bit at further length
a little bit later. All right, back to the game,
of course, the Phillies found a way to win a game.
Loses are four straight. We're back on. Man World Series
is back on. It's just funny how it works to

(06:38):
put in that to the side. Doesn't matter. We did
hit on the money line. Sanchez under on the strikeouts,
which was surprising when you look at the box score.
Six inches pitch oh, gave up the home run, had
the one earned, only four hits in as I said,
six inches pitch there, but only four strikeouts, which he's
pretty much averaging like five, five and a half whatever

(06:59):
it Maybe we took the over on five and a half,
so yeah, that was a loser. Actually five we needed
to get the We took the over four and a
half to get the five, so that was a loser there.
It's a little surprising, but Ross got in there, bullpen
got some work and it's always fun when you could
score six in the first inning.

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Kyle for sure.

Speaker 6 (07:17):
Yeah, I mean jumping all over them. That felt necessary
after the weekend that they had, right, obviously it wasn't.
Despite going on a three game skid to end the
month and then the one obviously on June first, they
finished nineteen to nine in the month of May, so
it doesn't matter how it ended. If you look at
the totality of the month. They had an incredible month.
But even Bryce himself felt like he needed to get

(07:39):
back in there, whether he was one hundred percent ready
or not. He said after the game, you know they're
still swelling. I think it's gonna take a minute to
go back down. But today was a good day for
me to get back out there and get back in
the lineup. So they felt some pressure themselves. You know,
it's not how we wanted to end the month, on
how we wanted to end the homestand coming out and
putting six on a the team that's been red hot

(08:01):
themselves is a good way to show that you guys
are taking this serious and taking it to heart. So
it was a nice, nice inning from the team, and
I liked that there was a combination of both the
long ball and some small ball. So after you have
those two home runs, the rest of the shorter strikes
out after the back to back homers, and then you
have single hit by pitch, single single, two strikeouts, a flyout,

(08:25):
but excuse me, strike out, single flyout to get the
rest of your runs. So you score three runs small ball,
you score three runs with the long ball. You show
that you can do it all. Stock got on base twice.
There's been some questions about whether he truly should be
the leadoff hitter. His numbers have been underwhelming and that
spot so far. But he gets on base twice in
the first inning. Could they tink her shore? But it's

(08:50):
really nice to come out first game on a road trip,
homecoming for your manager if you will live lives about
an hour away from Toronto in the offseason, so a
nice little trip up there to get nice start to
the trip up there north of the border.

Speaker 3 (09:03):
That's right. Game two con up this evening.

Speaker 5 (09:05):
We'll talk a little bit more in depth about that one,
especially focus on the young gun Mick Able getting the
second professional start this season. Of course, was dominant in
that game against the Pittsburgh Pirates. Round two tonight against
the Blue Jays, we talk a little bit more about
the expectation and what does it mean moving forward here.
Staying though, I like where he went. Trey Turner, he
knows a thing or two about batting leadoff. I am

(09:27):
a stat leadoff type of guy. Again, every conversation we
have about baseball when your team is winning starts and
ends with the date. It's June fourth. I get it,
Mets are awesome. They're playing great ball. Did lose last night,
got that call, Love that, But they are a damn
good team. We talked a little bit about the division
a little bit more yesterday and whether or not we

(09:48):
are talking as far as the right.

Speaker 3 (09:51):
Way when it comes to the Mets.

Speaker 5 (09:53):
I feel like there's a lot of people that are like,
all right, eventually it's gonna catch up to him.

Speaker 3 (09:57):
I'm not that guy anymore.

Speaker 5 (09:58):
I think that this team is as good as that
advertised and they're going to be in the thick of
it for the long haul this season. Now, do you
have time to tinker like you brought up? I am
a stock guy at the lead up position? Am I
locked to it?

Speaker 1 (10:12):
No?

Speaker 3 (10:13):
Of course we know the history with Kyle Schwarber.

Speaker 1 (10:18):
Do we not have.

Speaker 5 (10:18):
Enough now where we can sit here and say, all right, Schwarber,
he's no longer in the conversation for the leadoff. We
like where he's at. He's proven his worth. He's batting
clead up, he's hitting bombs. I know he does. He
did it at the lead up position, and I'm not
trying to get back into that conversation because that seems
to be the topic of discussion for three straight years now.

(10:41):
But Kyle Schwarber, I prefer him batting in the clean
up position. I like stot at my lead off, but
I'm not married to it. You got a guy like
Trey Turner who found his stroke last night two home runs.
It was great to have Trey gets some pop back
in his bat. What are we discussing as far as
right now when it comes to the leadoff spot in
the lineup for the Philly Are.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
You trying to make some moves here?

Speaker 5 (11:02):
Are you not married to the idea of Schwerber removing
him from cleanup?

Speaker 3 (11:06):
Are you okay putting him back and lead off? What's
your stance on that.

Speaker 6 (11:10):
I'd leave Schwerber where he is. I think they did
that for a reason. I don't want to move him
back and forth too much, because it's a different mindset
batting leadoff versus batting behind some of your other big bobbers, right,
some of your guys that you need to drive these
runs in as supposed to setting the table for them.
Turner proofd he can do it. He's also proved he
can hit well in the two hole. It depends on

(11:31):
what stock does. If he continues to improve and his
numbers get a little bit better, he keeps seeing a
lot of pitches, exposing starting pitchers early. That's valuable whether
you're ending with a result or not, whether you're hitting
for a high batting average or high on base percentage
or not. There is value to drawing out a lot
of pitches, and he's been able to do that. If
the old base continues to creep up, then you leave

(11:53):
him there when they're facing the right handed starter. The
biggest time of change would happen is if a right
ended that suddenly starts hitting like a true middle of
the order hitter. Whether that's Costiano's turning some of these
singles into doubles in line drives, whether it's Alec Bom
regaining some of the magic that he had with runs

(12:15):
in scoring position over the last two seasons. By the way,
don't look now, he was hitting two twenty at the
end of at the end of April, he's now the
two seventy seven. So been very consistent. Don't mess with
it just yet. Put something to keep an eye on.
But if he regains that magic, can they move him
into the middle of the order and that forts a change,
or obviously, as it gets closer to the end of July,

(12:37):
if they make a deal for a middle of the
order bat. That's the only time I could see them
really making a drastic change. Depends on where they want everybody.
But I think you're gonna have Turner either hitting first
or second, and then the rest will depend on how
everybody else performed.

Speaker 5 (12:49):
Yeah, not so much surprising, because we watched these games
and Boem has found a stroke and he's looking really
good out there, and he's getting a swagger and the
confidence back, and they continue to win games. All in all,
it's all that matters. Like, I don't care you get
a base hit, you're one for four in a game,
they win. Cool you go over for in a game, Sure, Yeah,
it's gonna stick in the back of your mind.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
Did you win? Cool?

Speaker 5 (13:08):
Onto the next And I get it when they get
up there in the box and you see the crawl
underneath or the you know, the the graphic that pops
up and you see one sixty two like we saw
for marsh for it felt like a month there. It's
not pleasant, and you start to get that in the
back of your mind, like, ah, man, this is a liability.
I didn't look at Boem ever in that manner, but

(13:29):
it is eye opening to see what he's been able
to do specifically in this last month and get it
going again.

Speaker 3 (13:34):
And the Phillies need him. He is really important.

Speaker 5 (13:37):
I love the glove, but man, when his bat is there,
you just you feel so much more better about this
line up, the pop, the sizzle that they have.

Speaker 3 (13:45):
And I'm not talking about home runs.

Speaker 5 (13:47):
I think you hit it earlier where you said it
was great to see them get a little bit of
the small ball. Of course, the home runs. Everybody chicks
dig the long ball. We all dig the long ball,
but you know we need to clutch hits. You need
the the doubles, You need the opposite field hits to
move the runners over. And I like what Boem's game
is all about, so it's great to have him finding
his stride right now as well.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
For sure.

Speaker 6 (14:07):
Yeah, four hit night last night, three of them were
hard line drives to the opposite field. So just as
you mentioned, that's when you can tell that he's really
locked in when he's staying behind that fastball and then
can get ahead of those off speed pitches and pull
them when he needs to. Only his eighth four hit
game of his career. Like we said, average up to
two seventy seven. He even had a great diving play,

(14:28):
took advantage of the astro turf out there, like a
three or four hopper over to to harbor to get
the George Springer at first base. So a big day
from him. Obviously, we know that the glove will there
will be questions, but to see the work that he's
put in and how he's improved and still be able
to stay focused on the offensive end is huge. The
big thing for guys, whether it's Boe or others, is

(14:49):
these early season numbers swing so heavily. Right, if you
had the month that he had in April in August,
your numbers don't fluctuate as much. Right, you might have
a two to twenty month, but you're average only drops
by fifteen points because you have so much positivity before
that month. Well, when it's April, your numbers look like

(15:10):
they're terrible. Same with Brandy Marsh your numbers look like you're, oh, man,
is this guy ever going to figure it out? And
then you turn around come July first and he's hitting
two sixty, which is what you would expect boon two seventy,
may even push three hundred at some point into hot
streak continues.

Speaker 5 (15:24):
All right, let's go ahead and hit the fast forward,
but bring it up to present time.

Speaker 3 (15:29):
Right here.

Speaker 5 (15:30):
Phillies Game two, Blue Jays North to the Border in
at Toronto. A really intriguing start by Mick Gable, first
round draft pick from the Phillies twenty twenty season. Here
we are, of course, had the one start against the
Pirates looked really really good. Has been battling down in
the minors since then. He struck out nine batters in

(15:51):
that game over six innings back on May the eighteenth.
Really good right up by Joe Tansey Acrossing Broad on
how to ager.

Speaker 3 (15:56):
On tonight's game.

Speaker 5 (15:57):
I'll give you his plays as well, but I want
to go big picks with mcabel and his star here.
First of all, your expectations tonight going up against Barrios
pretty much even money on drafting sports book right now,
I believe the Phillies were just a slight favorite tick
minus one fifteen versus the minus one zero five for Barrios.
Barrios pretty good pitcher in his own right, putting that
to the side.

Speaker 3 (16:17):
Putting the game to the side, just.

Speaker 5 (16:19):
Mickabel because I bring it up, Kyle, and I want
to know where you're at. This is a summer saying
the greatest rotation in baseball, an embarrassment of riches with Painter.
I see Painter's name being tossed around in trade conversations.
That's understood. How good he is, went through the tom
of John. Still just pop in the middle. He's not
going anywhere except for except for the majors to pitch

(16:39):
for the Phillies. But when you talk about able tonight,
and I get it, Aaron Nola signed a monster contract.
They're gonna give him every opportunity to be Aaron Nola,
and I think he will be Aaron Nola when he
comes back. However, what are we talking about with Abel?
Is there something that this kid can do if he
goes out there and duplicates that before Mormans like he

(17:01):
did against the Pirates back on May eighteenth, where he
was dominant for six, struck out nine, And he does
that tonight against this tough Toronto Blue Jays lineup that
A'll be it strikes out a ton but still the
al East. We know what what brings to the table
there and continues to show you that this dude is
a major league pitcher and needs to be in a
rotation bar none. What are we talking about now? Is

(17:22):
there a good problem to have in your mind? As
they say, I mean, just.

Speaker 6 (17:28):
Look at I think we talked about this last week too,
but just look at the Dodgers. The Dodgers have spent
so much money on pitching, and as far as injured
pitchers are concerned, they the contract value of their injured
pitchers is more than the entire payroll of six different
franchises this season. You can never have enough pitching. I've
heard multiple people say. Multiple national reporters, whether it's Fox

(17:52):
or MLB Network, explained that every time you feel like
you have pitching depth, you turn around and it's gone.
The Mariners have been the talk of the town for years.
They could trade one of these major league ready starting
pitchers to add some offense to that team. Offense seems
to be their struggle has been in Seattle for a
long time and they have never done it. Their general

(18:14):
manager was on I Forget with Who It was on
with Jason Stark on Starksville and mentioned the whole reason
we don't is because every time you get comfortable with
your pitching, something happens. The way the guys throw today,
how hard they throw out, Different pitches are thrown and
developed throughout the season. You can never be too comfortable.

(18:36):
So the development of Mick Abel does two things for me. Right. One,
it gives you the necessary depth that you'll need to
survive the season. He has rehabbed his value as a prospect,
which could lead to a big trade if they feel
necessary at the deadline. They also like him a lot,
and keeping him would give you insurance if Ranger Suarez

(18:57):
walks at the end of the season, which a lot
of people think that he right. But you have Zach
Wheeler getting a little bit older. Aaron Nola obviously will
see what happens, but he's under contracts for a long time.
They wrapped up Christopher Sanchez, but you need that tep.
You don't know what you're gonna get from Andrew Painter.
Maybe he comes out, is so jacked up for his
one hundred and three and hurts his elbow again and
they shut him down. Who knows. Obviously, I don't want

(19:18):
to put that on anybody, But keep the depth as
long as you have because it's impossible to predict pitching injuries.
If the time comes in the postseason where you need
to make a decision and you send him back down
or you move him or Sanchez or somebody else to
the bullpen to be a bulk guy, because everybody has
a short at least come the postseason. At least you

(19:38):
know what you have with him. Now, you give him
these opportunities, prove to him and to your club that
he can do it at the big league level, and
see how long he sticks around. And if you get
blown away or can include him in a deal to
avoid including someone like Miller or Crawford, then it's just
an added benefit in a different direction.

Speaker 5 (19:56):
Oh yeah, See, I look at tonight and my expectations
are one thing where this is the long haul here,
and we all know about the rotation for the fightings.
But if you do need a little bit of a reminder,
you got Wheeler, you got host Hayesis Lozardo, you got
Christopher Sanchez, you got Ranger Suarez. Walker goes to the bullpen.
Nola of course, is on the il'll be back pretty

(20:16):
soon here. And then you have Mick Gabel, who's getting
the start right now. And then of course Painter will
be up sometime around the All Star break. I would
assume pretty good names there, and as we said, good
problem to have. And I know our focus might be
on Nola here and I get why, but it's not
to say that mcabel can't pitch his ass off and

(20:38):
take one of the other spots from a guy right
like it give me the best pitchers. And I know
we're talking about something now on June fourth that will
be a whole different discussion comes September, But can mckabel
do enough in your mind that could potentially be one
of those guys that will be getting some big time
starts come September, maybe October.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
We know what happens with playoff rotations.

Speaker 5 (20:59):
Understood, But again, just the brightest possible scenario for you
in this rotation moving forward for Mickable if he continues
to show what he did, and albeit I know I
reference May eighteenth, granted is the only major league start
for him this year, but we're talking about a guy
that's been pitching pretty damn well in the Lehigh Valley.

(21:19):
He's got at least six innings and six outings this
season between.

Speaker 3 (21:23):
Both of us.

Speaker 5 (21:23):
So here we are, like, what are we talking about
as far as the ceiling.

Speaker 3 (21:28):
I guess for Mick Gabel and the future of this.

Speaker 6 (21:30):
Rotation, well, real quick, I mean, like you mentioned, he's
pitching great at Lehigh Valley. Our guy over at Philly
Sports Network, Corey Nido, he does great coverage of the
minor leagues. He did a little right up on how
he has earned this spot right before they announced he
will get called up in the month of May. If
you include that performance against the Pirates, he's four and
oh with a zero point nine to six ERA across

(21:52):
the minor ze oh start and the major So if
he pitches like that at the major league level, you
have to figure out something, right, You have to figure
out a conversation. If he earns his way into the
rotation and makes it undeniable, they're gonna have to figure
something out. Whether that's I'll be damned sure a ranger.
We know who your asient is, but we need you

(22:13):
to change things up. Lozardo, Hey, let's give you a
little bit of a little bit of a rest after
we made you where one last week. You know, who
knows what could happen. I think best case scenario is
kind of what I described though my assumption is that
we'll see him be likely kept unless they get blown
away and someone surprising shows up on the trade market.

(22:33):
He'll probably be kept for depth. You'll see him make
a few more appearances this season, and then he'll likely
be fighting for a spot come next year in the rotation.
We'll have to see what happens with Andrew Painter, but
maybe to give guys a rest a little bit earlier,
they could start doing what they intend to do with
Andrew Painter now with Nick Abel where you might skip
a guy once here or there to give them some

(22:53):
extra rest. A lot of these pitchers have thrown more
innings in a three year span than they have in
their entire career. Suarez, Sanchez, Nola, and Wheeler all included Lizardo. Obviously,
the injury history Painter coming back slowly gives you some options.
But my if I had to put money on it,
I would say he probably sees between five to eight

(23:15):
starts the rest of the year at the major league
level and is kept as a depth piece, probably not
cracking the postseason roster, not seeing Whitch well, but they
just have They happen to have a plethora of good arms,
right now.

Speaker 3 (23:26):
You're damn right all right moving forward here tonight once again.

Speaker 5 (23:29):
One fifteen favorites five is your strikeout prop and draftings sportsbook.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
I kind of like that.

Speaker 5 (23:34):
I think that this Blue Jays team won't be able
to make some adjustments till later. Of course, haven't seen
him before, a little bit of an unknown at this
point in time, so I do like mcable tonight to
get the job done. Hopefully the Phillies can continue to win.
Matt's lost last night. We like that, and especially the
way that they ended up losing. Here's how it sounded.

Speaker 7 (23:52):
Pitch swing on it, hit dude, twelfth, back goes nemo,
still going back. This ball is off the wall, third
of someone, But Dodgers are gonna win it. Freddie Freeman
will a walkoff tuddle and the Dodgers won it six
to five and tenanting shooture.

Speaker 5 (24:09):
Hall of Famer Freddie Freeman continues to do what he
does out there, and uh yeah, look, the Dodgers found
a way to win another game.

Speaker 3 (24:16):
They found the way I could.

Speaker 5 (24:17):
Uh, Clayton Kershaw getting the start, he went to four
or two thirds, gave up three earned and three walks
in that, and then they went to a plethora of
arms in that bullpen. I'm curious to just focus on
the Mets. Give me thirty seconds on this one. Juan
Soto has not been Wan Soto from the Yankees. They're
getting the Padres Juan Soto at this point in time,

(24:38):
but yet this is still a team that's at the
top of the division.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
Does that make you concerned?

Speaker 5 (24:43):
Does that make you look at the Mets a little
bit differently because of hey, man, they're winning games and
guy like Juan Soto hasn't been producing at all like
we thought he would. So therefore watch out law of
average is gonna play out here throughout the course of
the summer, or you just think, you know what, man,
this is what the Mets are. They're gonna a good
ball club regardless of who's in there. Because it does
feel like they had that They got that mojo going

(25:05):
again just like last year.

Speaker 6 (25:07):
Yeah, I mean, he's he's going to play like one
Soto plays right. It might not be as impressive power
number wise as it was last season, playing half his
games in Yankee Stadium and having the best home run
hitter of his generation, Aaron Judge hitting behind him, but
he has started to heat up. I mean, he's got
four homers in his last five games, I think, and

(25:29):
before yesterday's game he was hitting four hundred with five runs,
two doubles, three homers, five rebbies and no strikeouts in
the five games prior to yesterday. So maybe not scorching
hot as of yet because it's only been five games,
but the guy has started to catch fire. That team
is legit. The thing that I was most worried about

(25:50):
four then at trying to be a neutral party, even
though it's tough to do, was their pitching. And it's
held up through the first two months a little bit
better than I think most people would expect. If they
can add an arm at the deadline, they are a
serious threat. And like we said, Monsoo hasn't even been
himself yet and here they are at the top of
them mL East, so it's it's gonna be tough stunting

(26:12):
with them all season. And he can't ignore the Braves either.
It's a strong division. The Nats are above five hundred.
I mean, they're they're playing well and we'll see what happens.
But yeah, the Mets, Juan Soto is gonna be himself soon.
He might look like the Wan Soto of old before.
Right now, you know it might be in the middle
of happening.

Speaker 2 (26:28):
Right now.

Speaker 6 (26:28):
We're gonna look back in two weeks and Dick, what
the heck were we talking about this guy struggling?

Speaker 5 (26:32):
Yeah, Mets and Dodgers Game three tonight. Of course they
split the first two. Game three, they're playing four out
there in La. Remember, Mets took two or three just
last week against the Dodgers at City Field. Minus one
forty eight gonsolin on a mount for the Dodgers, the
plus one twenty four for Griffin Canning and the Mets,
but a total coming in at ten. I'd like to

(26:52):
believe that I'll be up watching that game. We do
have Stanley Cupp action that does have my attention. We'll
talk a little bit about that. On the other side.
See if oh, Canada is gonna break that draft. That's
the most intriguing talking point that I'm going to give
you as far as Stanley Cupp is concerned. We'll go
over those numbers because I think it is eye opening,
just as far as Canada not getting the Stanley Cup

(27:14):
to preside to prevail in.

Speaker 3 (27:16):
The great country of Canada north of the border. So
we'll talk a little bit.

Speaker 5 (27:19):
About that matchup coming up tonight, Game one, all the
odds and information.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
But however, Philly's conversations stays hot.

Speaker 5 (27:25):
Mike Able expectations hit us in the chat at Fox,
Pho Gambler on socials, Kyle Fisher hanging with me and
other cide where mexcident's a football football seas a tear
Fantasy Football I got Roy Burton joined the program. Coming
up at four h five, We're gonna go over the
top ten picks Kyle Fisher.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
I want. Here's it. This is what I'm gonna hit
you off with a little homework assignment during to break
you ready, all right?

Speaker 6 (27:48):
Gotcha?

Speaker 5 (27:48):
I don't give you the first pick. I give you
the second pick. Who you take in number two? Number two?
You don't have the first pick number two. If you
have the Fantasy football draft and it's today, you get
second overall pick or you take and we'll find out
who Kyle Fischer's going to draft.

Speaker 3 (28:02):
On the other side, Daily Ticket just getting warmed up
more after this.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Spring is in the air and it's time to swing
for the fences. All MLB coverage is bringing heat all
season long.

Speaker 6 (28:14):
Everybody moves up ninety three.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
Be sure to catch Luke Arcaney and Sean Brace on
the daily ticket. Only one place that covers all the action.
It's the Gambler.
