Speaker 2 (00:45):
One ball, once strike, the pitch swung on, hitting the
air right center, Marsh calling for it in the alley,
backing up to the track, He makes the catch and
the ball game is over a warning track.
Speaker 3 (00:56):
Fly ball is all in.
Speaker 4 (00:58):
Stuart Fairchild is the final outness.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
The Phillies beat the Braves two to one, and they
take two out of.
Speaker 3 (01:05):
Three in the series.
Speaker 5 (01:06):
Oh well about that, sports fans. In a good afternoon,
everyy body, beautiful day in the Delaware Valley on that's
wonderful Monday, short week vibes. Can you feel it, vacation
on the horizon.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
Yeah, I can taste it. I can taste.
Speaker 5 (01:25):
Those waves right now, fourth of July. You gotta love
it when it falls on a weekday. Hello, everybody, let's
go a lot to discuss. Luke Arcane joining me right
from the jump here on a Monday. Of course, we
got some fightings to discuss a lot from the weekend.
I gotta dip my toe back into the Philadelphia seventy
six years water of course, Free Agency getting started tonight
(01:47):
officially at six pm. We got a great show for
you at five o'clock with Shambandhard and Sam Austria All
things NBA Free Agency.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
But Luke, first of all, how was your weekn sir?
Speaker 4 (01:59):
We almost good? Weekend? Was good? Was dog sitting last week?
So that that kind of ended yesterday? It was good.
I will say it was a nice honestly, like a
little vacation.
Speaker 6 (02:11):
I was away, I was, I was. I was working
from home, so you know, I was on the couch.
Speaker 5 (02:15):
How does one get a dog sitting job? Let me
ask you, is this a family fuddy?
Speaker 6 (02:20):
I mean a buddy was going to Ireland for a
week and they got a big dog and didn't want
to put him in a kennel.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
What type of me?
Speaker 6 (02:27):
It's a big burn a doodle. He's probably about one
hundred pounds. He's a monster.
Speaker 4 (02:33):
His name was Boots.
Speaker 6 (02:36):
Boots feeling better first six day for great Friday night
in the Saturday got sick. It was sick all day Saturday.
But he's feeling better now. I don't know, man was
it wasn't me. I was just I was just doing
what I was told. But no, it was good, nice weekend.
I was dealing with some camera issues before we got
(02:56):
in here, so we're rolling with the old camera, right,
I look really blue for some reason. But hey, hey, we
got some some news about ten minutes ago that I
think we're going to dive into a little bit.
Speaker 5 (03:07):
Well, your boy was Your boy's been on the move
for the last thirty five minutes, so I was to
break Oh please do so, lu.
Speaker 6 (03:16):
Maybe a guy by the name of Bryce Harper has
been reinstated from the injured list.
Speaker 4 (03:22):
He will be night.
Speaker 6 (03:26):
Time. But Harper is back, obviously, just a massive boost
back in the lineup. This this team needed, listen, all
they needed to do. And I feel like I say this,
whenever Harper's out or Swerber's out, if you lose a
star player, you just kind of have to tread water
while they're gone. And they went thirteen and fourteen without
(03:49):
Harper that that's okay. But now they get them back.
Big series against the Padres. We'll say they've had the
Padres number, especially at Citizens Bank since I believe twenty
twenty one, they're eleven and five versus the Padres at
the bank like that, So it should be a nice
little series I will be there in attendance tonight, just
kind of selling in the stands the night.
Speaker 4 (04:10):
A little different point of view.
Speaker 6 (04:11):
Going up with the girlfriend for fireworks night should be
a nice little night.
Speaker 5 (04:15):
GA looky little general emission, Luke coming in here, come on,
g Well, you know what, and you know what, they're
probably still better seas than what you have in the
press box.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
I will say.
Speaker 6 (04:28):
The poll, me and that pole have a have a
little argument going on there.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
But have you been able to put your name on
the pole?
Speaker 5 (04:35):
And if you don't know what we're talking about, Luke
Arcadie draw it drew the shortest straw as far as
the press row is concerned. That Citizens Bank Park, yes
you do. It's but I've sat there before. I could
pull up my old phone. I had to pull that
seat up before. And there's a there's a lot of
seats in that place, but there's this one that you're
up and there's a pole where they close the windows
(04:56):
and it's right in front of you. There's not much
you can do, but you just watch the game move
like this the whole time. But of course it's an
awesome deal that you're down there for crossing broad dot
Com and of course here us with the Gambler.
Speaker 3 (05:07):
All right, So that's great news.
Speaker 5 (05:09):
We knew, we kind of felt, we were talking earlier
this morning that this was going to happen. I was
expecting around three thirty that news would have came down,
So I apologize. I did not have my phone on
my hand in my hand at all while I was driving.
But it's raining outside. So I got here and it
was crazy getting here. But anyways, with that being said,
Harper is back and that is a great deal. We're
(05:29):
going to talk about the now what as far as
who's going to start taking the position in left field
a little bit more versus lefty. What does it do
to the changing of the lineup? Harper back. It's been
a little while. I think there were twelve and ten
without him since June fifth, twelve and ten in that
stretch without him, So it's great to have the captain
(05:51):
back in the Phillies lineup.
Speaker 3 (05:53):
It's gonna pay off.
Speaker 5 (05:54):
And then so we'll talk a little bit more about
Harper and the Padres matchup that Luke will be attending
this evening. But let's it the rewind button right here
in the daily take to get it started. Phillies take
two or three versus the Atlanta Braves. Hand the Atlanta
Braves another one run loss, twentieth on the year for
the Braves, twenty one run losses, most in the Major Yeah,
(06:16):
that is a that's a tough bill to swallow, plus
all the injuries.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
But nobody cares. We're not crying about that.
Speaker 5 (06:20):
For the Braves. Big story, though, of course, is Ranger Suarez. Luke, Luke,
Rangers Suarez. Yeah, that's the conversation right here, right now.
It's gotta be But we understand how that works out,
and that's something that's going to work itself out after
the season. Scott Boris is his agent. He's gonna get
top dollar. Will Phillies be able to commit to that,
(06:41):
We'll see all in. Although Ranger Suarez right now in
the Phillies uniform has been dominant tenth tenth time that
he has had a quality start in the Major leagues
one point one to nine ERA over those ten starters.
Over those ten starts, he is entering into the death
(07:01):
and taxes territory, Luke, And you know where that is.
There's only two things that are certain in life, death
and taxes and Ranger Suarez getting to the seventh let's
go on like this.
Speaker 6 (07:13):
Yeah, it's wild, and you know we saw it last year,
Like Ranger was good before last year, but I think
like twenty twenty three you really started to see the
guy that we could get to. Eventually Ranger threw his
first you know, twelve starts before he started dealing with
the back injury.
Speaker 4 (07:33):
Last year.
Speaker 6 (07:33):
Was that was the Ranger where we were like, holy,
you know what, like that is a that's a picture
and I love, you know, the different sayings for things.
Ranger is not a thrower, He's a pitcher. It is
like it's bizarre watching him throw. And Sean, I don't
know if you saw the clip of Matt Olsen. Yeah,
(07:56):
Milson let out a bit of a bad word and
basically saying unbelieve because Ranger Suarez threw him one of
the nastiest pitches I've ever seen. Ranger swarez see and
you don't see Matt Olson look like a fool that
much at the plate, and Ranger was laughing walking back
to the dugout. There's three pitchers, the top three pitchers
in e er, I believe since May eleventh, I think
(08:19):
the stat was in. I can't remember the exact order,
but the three guys up there are Zach Wheeler, Ranger Suarez,
and Paul Skins. That's pretty darn good. Yeah, the dude's
just a gamer. He's a gamer. He's a workhorse, and
he just he doesn't go out there and blow ninety
eight by you. I mean, if you sit there and
you watch a Wheeler start, right, if Zach Wheeler needs
(08:42):
to blow a fastball by a guy, he can blow
a fastball by any player in baseball, And yes, Ranger
can do that, but that that's not how he pitches.
Speaker 4 (08:52):
He is.
Speaker 6 (08:53):
He's he's a master on the mound. And it's really
shown this year. I mean, the guy's era is just
insane again, and it's really hard, man like, it's it's
really hard to sit here and just almost have to
accept that there's a really good chance he's not gonna
(09:13):
be here next year.
Speaker 3 (09:14):
Yep.
Speaker 6 (09:15):
It's sad, like it stinks, but they just have so
many starters. They're set up for the future. They have
Andrew Painter, who's not even up yet. You know, right now,
when you look at the future, it's not a spot
for him. But how is there not a spot for
a guy that has a two E R A flat like,
it's just it's insane to think about.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
It's a crazy conversation because.
Speaker 6 (09:38):
You know, depending on how you look at it, a
guy with a two E R and it's probably been
your second and you could possibly make an argument that
he's been.
Speaker 4 (09:45):
Your best starter this year.
Speaker 6 (09:48):
How is how is he not the most important free
agent signing of this offseason for the Phillies. That's the
craziest part about it, well, is because then you have
to get into the conversation and I know, people, I
don't think you need to have this conversation yet, but
do these guys are neither of these guys are going
to sign in sin But if you had to bring
one player back next year, are you bringing back Schwarzer
(10:10):
or are you bringing back Ranging?
Speaker 7 (10:12):
Like, it's you know, it's crazy, man, It's it's insane.
It's going to be it's crazy. He's he's just he's
he's unbelievable. He's only getting better. And yeah, his his
this velocity.
Speaker 6 (10:26):
He's not some you know, big tall, high velocity guy,
but he just he just works people to the end.
Speaker 5 (10:33):
So there's a lot to chew on there, and and
We're not going to get into the free agency stuff
right now.
Speaker 3 (10:38):
On June thirtieth, Crazier things have happened.
Speaker 5 (10:41):
You know, I'm not going to sit here and say
that it's not going to happen. I'm not going to
sit here and say it's going to happen. He's going
to command a serious price if he continues to pitch
this way, and he deserves it. So hopefully he continues
to pitch this way, because it's right now currently in
a Phillies uniform. And as I said, death taxes and
Ranger Suarez getting you into the seventh stretch.
Speaker 3 (11:00):
Nothing better than that.
Speaker 5 (11:02):
And even more so, you're talking about a guy that's
not getting run support. And I know that the good
pitchers deal with this from time to time, but sixteen
straight innings of no runs like that could have an
effect on you in some manner.
Speaker 3 (11:15):
That's not good.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
That you're going to bring out to the mound and
you're gonna give up a base hit, You're gonna make
a bad pitch. He's made literally one bad pitch in
his last two starts, and it went yard against the Ashtars.
It's been fantastic. I look forward to Ranger Suarez starts.
I think we all got caught up and who he
was when he first came on the scene, like you said,
started having that success. The expectation was there even then
(11:39):
some last year, but right now he is delivering, and man,
it is a lot of fun to go watch Ranger
Suarez grab the ball every fifth day. Now, you did
bring up something that I want to dive into because
I don't know if I could see her and say,
as dominant as he's been, he's been the best pitcher
on the Phillies starting rotation here, I still got to
(11:59):
give edge to Zach Wheeler?
Speaker 3 (12:01):
Am I am? I off here?
Speaker 4 (12:02):
What's the case? It's closer than people wanted to.
Speaker 5 (12:06):
I could get down with that, but that's not telling
me that Ranger Suarez is better than Zach Wheeler, which
I think you were.
Speaker 4 (12:13):
He's a better I don't. I don't think he's a
better pitcher.
Speaker 6 (12:15):
And granted, Zach Wheeler has five more starts than him.
Speaker 5 (12:20):
Interesting but even even wins, right, seven wins for both
of them again wins.
Speaker 4 (12:24):
Whatever, both of them have seven wins.
Speaker 6 (12:26):
Wheelers thrown nine nine innings, has doron seventy two. I mean,
but granted, when you look at it. Zach Wheeler has
thrown ninety nine innings, He's allowed sixty hits. Suarez has
thrown seventy two innings, has allowed fifty five hits.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
I don't know, man, that's good.
Speaker 6 (12:44):
If And I think it's crazy that we've gotten to
this point too, because I think a month and a
half ago, you know this, the big talking point of
this season has been obviously this it's it's been the
best rotation in baseball. They've had Zach Wheeler, Lozardo Sanchez, Suarez, Nola,
you know, the iffy thing. But but mcabel has has
(13:07):
been been good since he's come up. I don't think
Mickabel's as good as his major league debut, but I
think he's enough to be in this Phillies rotation. A
month ago, Ranger Suarez was moving to the bullpen.
Speaker 3 (13:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (13:21):
Not that is not happening.
Speaker 3 (13:24):
Definitely.
Speaker 6 (13:25):
It just can't because right now, I think a guy
that we wanted to move to the bullpen in the
playoffs two months ago is probably starting game two for you.
Speaker 4 (13:34):
Right now in a in some series.
Speaker 6 (13:38):
That's that is the biggest conversation around the Phillies. And
I know we're you know, sneaking up on the trade deadline.
Here we are a month and a day away. But
how much do the Phillies really need to get into
the bullpen at the deadline. I think they're gonna get somebody,
maybe two. I mean, there was a report this morning
about a few Pirates relievers that they could be they
(13:59):
could potentially be showing interesting But you know how much
of the bullpen is internally because you know, if you
have to play, if you end up in a three
game wild.
Speaker 4 (14:10):
Card series, you need three starters, right.
Speaker 6 (14:13):
If you end up in a seven game series, you
need four starters, right, And that's Zach Wheeler Ranger Suarez.
If Aaron Nole is healthy, Aaron Nole is going to
be a starter in the playoffs. And then what do
they want to do there? Which one of Sanchez Lozardo Goes,
does able go?
Speaker 4 (14:33):
He probably does? What do they do with Painter?
Speaker 6 (14:36):
They say they don't want to put Painter in the
in the bullpen, but once you get to October, you
got to do whatever you can to win. It's an
interesting conversation. But I'll tell you this, Roger Suarez a
month ago is probably moving to the bullpen, and he
is certainly not anymore.
Speaker 3 (14:50):
That is correct.
Speaker 5 (14:50):
Phillies on top of the East at this point in time,
forty nine and thirty five. Of course, those Mets are
struggling forty eight and thirty seven, three and seven in
the last ten. The Braves, as I just laid out,
fact is they're thirty eight and forty five but have
been snake bitten and not getting lucky getting the bounce
of the ball bouncing their way. And that's a team
(15:10):
that could have ten to twelve more wins and they're
right in the thick of it. Instead, they are ten
and a half games out of first place, two a
three against the Braves, picking up what you were just
kind of getting into. As far as the trade deadline
is approaching. I want to give a shout out because
I dug this up earlier today Brooke destra over at
NBC Sports Philadelphia. She had a good write up, and
(15:32):
you know, one of the things that made me think
this morning was like, do we really know what type
of team we're getting? Night in, night out? It's insane
what this team is doing to us. And she put
out with the road trip, we just saw the Phillies
being shut out three times a thirteen run offensive explosion,
a dominant bullpen game, and four of the strongest outings
(15:52):
from the starting rotation all season. Hell, that was some
of the best starts I've seen by Philly starters in
a long time.
Speaker 3 (15:58):
It was.
Speaker 5 (15:59):
It was awesome, That's how great they were. She literally said,
it's a coin toss every day. I could not agree more.
And I know that we are a ways away from
the trade deadline, the All Star Breakers right around the corner,
of course, but man, I just feel like we got
the pitching ready to go. You know, not gonna would
anything happens here understood, the bullpen is the bullpen. I
(16:21):
think the pullpen could be better, and I think I
fully expect the bullpen do be better.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
Now is that wishful thinking? Possibly?
Speaker 5 (16:27):
And I don't think Dombrowski is probably gonna just say
I'm good with what we have here. He's probably gonna
make a move for an arm I think that's locked.
But I'm getting to the point that, like, get some
new blood in here. Man, it's mandatory to go out
and get a new bat. And oh, by the way,
Bryce Harper suggested it so like you if your ace,
if your captain is saying that, and I know it's
one thing to to you know, look, hey man, I'm
(16:49):
in the front office. You're the player. But this is
Bryce Harper. He's been around the game a long damn time.
If he's telling you we need a little something extra here,
do it. Max Kepler is not getting the job done.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
I don't care.
Speaker 5 (17:00):
Is not getting the job done fair or unfair. I
know we're in June, and I'm not one of these
guys that's telling you that this lineup is not good
enough to compete for a World Series.
Speaker 3 (17:08):
I'm not telling you that pitching.
Speaker 5 (17:10):
Staff is stop stop everything right there. This pitching staff
is good enough to win a World Series and to
get to another World Series. But you know what you're
up against with the Dodgers. You know how tough it
is to win a playoff series. Go out and be
aggressive and get some bats in here. I'm telling you, man,
I just that's what is hitting me now more than ever,
(17:31):
and simply off of what we're seeing right now. Like
I said, sixteen straight innings, you're not giving Ranger Suarez
a run to work with. Come on, man, Zach Wheeler
is a cy young candidate. Like pitching, we got you
go out and get it back. But Bryce Harper back
that that does come into that department somewhat at this
(17:52):
point time, as I said, he's been out since June fifth.
Speaker 8 (17:54):
Luke, Yeah, And it's it's it's so like it's so
big to have Bryce back, and and it's not just
because yes, he's really good and he hits homers and
he's just always on base everything.
Speaker 4 (18:07):
It's so it's so big that it slides everyone back.
Speaker 6 (18:11):
And and the issue when you lose Bryce is you
lose so much depth. You end up having Nick Cassiano's
hitting cleanup, and you have JT. Real Muto hitting fifth
in your lineup, who is struggling this year, and some
days you have Max Kepler hitting fifth in your lineup.
Like it's it's it's just simply brutal when Bryce isn't
in there, Like today, it's way better to see Bryce
(18:33):
and Stott in the eighth hole and JT. Real Muto
in the seventh hole than it is to see Stott
up hitting six. Like it just adds so much, But
it's it's just incredibly obvious that this team is going
to need a bat and they're gonna have to really
sit down and figure out how much they want to
go in because like I understand, I don't want to
(18:57):
trade Ada Miller. I like I don't. I don't I
don't want to trade some of these prospects. But you
have two more seasons of Zach Wheeler, Like you can't.
You can't go through Zach Wheeler's contract of having your
deadline moves be Austin Hayes and Rodolfo Castro and like
(19:17):
Brandon Marsh And yes, I still think that was a
good trade three years ago, but like it just gets
to a point where you have to realize that you
gotta try and if it doesn't work, fans are gonna
be happier that you at least tried and lost. Then
if you get an Austin Hayes at the deadline and
he has a kidney infection, and that's all you get
(19:39):
that because that's what it was last year, And yes,
it was obviously unfortunate, like that was a freak accident. Yeah,
they I think Austin Hayes was a lot better than
the player that he was here last year. But Max
Kepler can't start in left field every game for you
in the pull ups, if they listen, I don't think
they're gonna dfa Epler unless it gets to a really
(20:02):
bad point. But listen, having a pop bat like Kepler
off of your bench.
Speaker 4 (20:09):
In the playoffs is fine.
Speaker 6 (20:12):
Having Otto Kemp as a utility guy off of your
bench is fine. I don't think you can go into
the playoffs with it with a Kemp Kepler platoon in
left and the possibly of Johann Rojas starting a game
in the playoffs. And listen, some of this is gonna
be internally. This Justin Crawford stuff seems real to me.
(20:36):
I've been doing some some talking around, and it seems
like that could happen sooner rather than later from from
what I've From what I've heard it, I wouldn't rule
out it doesn't. It seems like there's a possibility it could.
It could happen pretty soon. I don't know how soon
the case I've I've heard some people possibly say this week.
(21:00):
I'd be a little surprised, but I think it's definitely
on the table to maybe see him soon, because I
think you have to see what you have there. And
you know, if you bring Justin Crawford up, say this
week as an example, and and you play him for
two to three weeks in the majors and he struggles,
(21:20):
then you know that's not an untouchable piece come July thirty. First.
It just can't be when you have a core of
Wheeler and Harper and Schwarber. It's hard because listen, I
don't love the Bats at this deadline. A lot of
them just don't really fit. But it's gonna have to
get to a point where you just have to get
(21:41):
creative with him. You have to figure out and and
this team needs right handed pop like they they need
a they need a right handed threat in their lineup,
and they're gonna have to find it from from out
of the organization because there's there's not right handed bat
down in the minors right now that is anywhere close
to being ready.
Speaker 5 (22:00):
Yeah, and again, this is the last time that you
really can upgrade your team. If you think that they
are World Series good, then you need to go out
there and be aggressive.
Speaker 3 (22:08):
And make some moves.
Speaker 5 (22:10):
And I know you could still help out from minor
leagues whatever, but I think you just nailed it right there.
So we'll see what Debrowski does again. The return of
Bryce Harper. What does it do to Otto Kemp who
has played I think twenty out of twenty one game
since Bryce went on the disabled list, and Max Kepler
in the lineup for game one. Here, Turner, Schwerber, Harper, Boem,
(22:30):
Castianis Kepler, J T. Stott, Marsh Wheeler is our lineup
this evening once again, six thirty five, taking on of
those Padres. We'll come back to that conversation because that's
a little inside baseball for some, so let's keep it
moving here. But I do want to get into a
little bit of what the Padres have been. Two of three,
(22:50):
they lost to the Cincinnati Reds. They were almost no
hit on Friday all the way through eight innings, if
I'm not mistaken. They lost on Sunday three to two.
Over All, they are forty four and forty. They trailed
the Dodgers by seven games in the NL West, six
and four in their last ten, and they own a
twenty and twenty four road record, but dealing with some
(23:11):
injuries as far as pitching is concerned, Darvish and Musgrove
and then tonight Matt Waldron, have you ever bat have
you ever hit against the knuckleball pitcher Luke Arcane.
Speaker 6 (23:22):
I'll tell you this I haven't hit against a knuckleball pitcher,
but myself was actually a knuckleball pitcher.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
Stop bat.
Speaker 5 (23:30):
In the backyard, whippletball. You were town knuckleballs, and I.
Speaker 6 (23:33):
Was when I was pitching, and when I was thirteen.
Speaker 5 (23:37):
You threw a knuckleball, you do and then what did
and what did it hit or do? And what did
the batter do? What did the batter do that knuckleball?
They hit it out of the park and hit it? Yeah, oh, no, wow,
I'll tell you that. I think, no, yeah, I think
I threw. I threw one knuckleball and it got absolutely smashed.
I think one time when I was like fifteen, sixteen
years old, like little knuckleball in my bag.
Speaker 3 (23:58):
Not gonna do that. Whenever. Good. That doesn't surprise me
that you would throw the knuckleball and have success with it. Tonight.
Speaker 5 (24:06):
Matt waldron starting pitcher four of the Padres. He made
twenty six starts for the Padres last year. In twenty
twenty four, it's his first start in twenty five. He
was dealing with the oblique strain. A couple starts since
last May in the minors and El Paso. On the
road to El Paso Luke car Caney five point two
four ERA one point five to whip twenty two and
(24:28):
seven strike to walk ratio in twenty two and a
third innings.
Speaker 3 (24:33):
Philly should hit this guy. I get it.
Speaker 5 (24:36):
It's not easy to sit here and say that they're
gonna get him.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
It's a knucklebar. It's knuckleball, especially if you're not used
to it.
Speaker 5 (24:42):
And look, he had some success when I was looking
at some stuff last year.
Speaker 3 (24:46):
They should hit him.
Speaker 5 (24:47):
This is a This is a game that you would
hope with the juice that Harper's bringing back to the
lineup again, hopefully this game gets in. I know was
storming on my way in here. Not trying to rain
on your parade tonight, Luke. But Phillies are minus two
twenty six favorite nine is are total.
Speaker 3 (25:01):
This needs to be a Phillies victory and then some
over a Padres team. Right now, this seems to be struggling.
Speaker 4 (25:07):
I'm listening to here.
Speaker 3 (25:10):
How about now, Luke? Do you got me? Now? All right,
we're gonna work on Luke there. Yees.
Speaker 5 (25:17):
So again, this is a team that you would expect
that the Phillies will have success again. Again, the number
right now for DraftKings Sportsbook minus two twenty six a
big time number for Zach Wheeler. Matt Waldron again first
start this year, plus one eighty two. I just look
at it from the perspective as if you are going
(25:37):
to take the other side, why, what is the reason
that you would say, you know what, let me take
this Matt Walders is the fact that these Phillies bats
haven't been all that good. I can understand that, but again,
you think your role in the dice big time by
back in a guy like Matt Waldron getting his first
start in twenty twenty five season. Just talking about possibility
of anybody out there selling me on the fact that
(25:59):
Matt Waldron and the Padres would be to play. And
the only thing I can come up with is the
bats have been a little bit light. Again, they did
explode on Friday. I fully expect that this is a
Phillies victory. This evening odds makers are telling us that
exactly too, A minus two twenty six were Wheeler.
Speaker 6 (26:16):
Yeah, no, this is uh, this is the one the
Phillies should win for sure. This is you know a
night where there it's just you know, Wheeler on the
mound versus that's just nowhere as good as him. Should
should definitely be a Phillies whin. I do apologize we
got some nasty storms. Yeah it is nasty, but yeah,
I will say as far as tomorrow too, this is the.
Speaker 4 (26:39):
Phillies have the pitching matchup.
Speaker 6 (26:40):
And I feel like you could basically say this about yeah,
every single series right now.
Speaker 4 (26:45):
Yep, the Phillies have the the the.
Speaker 6 (26:47):
Pitching advantage in just about every game this series tomorrow
Sanchez versus old friend Pavetta. But this is just some
juice here tonight, uh harper back, this is just you know,
the textbook night that the Phillies I think, just go
out and should just beat up on a bad pitcher.
(27:08):
They've they've hit the ball very well at home. They've
definitely been a better home team this year than road team.
Speaker 5 (27:14):
Should should definitely be a you know, It's interesting though,
because as we sit here right now, essentially last weekend
of last week, we hit the halfway point. We are
currently right now with the weekend that just happened, fully
at the halfway point of Major League Baseball, and I
think it's interesting where an intriguing, not interesting, an intriguing
(27:35):
spot for us to uh, check the oil right where
we're at as far as the gauge is concerned around
the National League, and you know, the odds always tell
us everything we need to know, and I'll pull those
up in just a second. But if I was to
ask you right now, seven game series, Phillies and Cubs
(27:57):
home home, cooking for the Phillies four out of seven
here three of Wrigley, who you.
Speaker 4 (28:03):
Got Phillies definitely?
Speaker 3 (28:07):
What what makes you say definitely? Because there?
Speaker 4 (28:10):
Sorry, I thought you're going right to the next team.
Speaker 5 (28:12):
But what what makes you say definitely? Because the way
you said it? Now I got to follow up with that.
Speaker 6 (28:16):
Yeah, I mean I think we've you know, we've seen
the this this head to head matchup both times home
and away, and the Phillies have just I just think
the are the better team. I think the Cubs offense
is the strong suit of their team. But when you
see how they've performed against some Phillies, they've they've definitely struggled.
Speaker 4 (28:38):
So I would definitely give the edge to the Phillies there.
I'll tell you this.
Speaker 6 (28:42):
I don't think there's many teams in the National League
that I would give the edge two over the Phillies.
Speaker 5 (28:48):
What if I told you that MLB dot Com had
the had the Cubs ahead of.
Speaker 3 (28:53):
The Phillies and the power rankings right now?
Speaker 4 (28:57):
Uh, probably they probably have.
Speaker 5 (29:00):
Who's got a better lineup? Who's got a better lineup?
You got Kyle Tucker and Pete Crowhart Bros.
Speaker 4 (29:05):
The Cubs have a better lineup.
Speaker 3 (29:08):
It's hard to argue.
Speaker 6 (29:12):
The Cubs have a deeper lineup. I think the Phillies
might have a better top four. All right, I know
have a deeper lineup on the nine.
Speaker 3 (29:23):
I know.
Speaker 5 (29:24):
I'm saying the Phillies as well, and then could be
a little home cook and understood seven game series versus
the l A Dodgers. The Dodgers have home field.
Speaker 4 (29:37):
Oh man, it's right now.
Speaker 3 (29:40):
Yeah, you're gonna take the Dodgers.
Speaker 6 (29:45):
I think it's hard not to, even though the Phillies
do have a series over them this year.
Speaker 4 (29:52):
I just think it's I think it's tough to not
take Dodgers.
Speaker 6 (29:58):
I will say if if it is a series with
a hot Phillies lineup, they will destroy their rotation. Oh
I like that because their rotation is not that good. Yeah,
it's it's not that good. It's it's hurt, and it's
always hurt. But I think it's I think it's hard
(30:18):
to put the Phillies over the Dodgers.
Speaker 5 (30:20):
Understood, all right, put a bow on this one. As
far as the power rankings are concerned, Phillies are right after,
but Dodgers plus one thirty five to win the National League,
Phillies plus four to fifty, Mets plus five fifty, then
the Cubs at plus seven fifty some fun stuff to
get into there again, halfway point power rankings. We got
eight games in Major League Baseball going off this evening,
(30:42):
for of course, the first one for us here the Phillies,
a heavily favored team over the Padres.
Speaker 3 (30:49):
With Zach Wheeler on the mount.
Speaker 5 (30:51):
We'll continue to talk some fightings here, will get you
updated on everything as far as props are concerned. All
that more, Luke Arcaney, but I want to quickly transition
if we could.
Speaker 3 (31:02):
We're getting a.
Speaker 5 (31:03):
W NBA team in Philadelphia, and Ted's checking in. I
don't know, Ted, Ted, you seemed like a great guy
here on X and Ted is asking, do you guys
think we'll be able to sign Caitlin Clark?
Speaker 3 (31:16):
She get fans in seats.
Speaker 5 (31:18):
I have no idea how any of that works. But yes,
Philly is getting a WNBA team, and it's expanded eighteen teams.
The WNBA is often referred to as the w and
over the next five years, but Cleveland, Detroit, and Philadelphia
set to join the league by twenty to thirty. Cleveland
(31:39):
we'll start in twenty twenty eight, Detroit twenty twenty nine.
Philly after assuming he gets approval from the NBAWNBA Board
of Governors.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
Toronto Bortland went to the league next season.
Speaker 5 (31:49):
Now, we talked about this on Thursday, Luke when we
had Natalie and studio. Sam Oustriy was met with me
and we all said, like, Philly should have it. We
are one of the best, if not the best, sports city.
I did joke and throw in there the fact that
you think that WNBA was a little scared of putting
a team in Philadelphia. I think there might have been
some truth behind that, because it was always weird how
(32:10):
we never had a team, but the Harris Blitzer organization
was able to make it happen.
Speaker 3 (32:16):
They deserve a ton of credit.
Speaker 5 (32:18):
I know, I give Josh Harris some hell, I hate
the fact that he owns the Commanders and I really
don't think that he's all that great of an owner
as far as the Sixers are concerned. But whatever, he's
doing some good things right now for the city. And
of course in Camden built that practice facility. Pretty cool
stuff there, so you got to tip the cap to
everybody that's over there, and it's exciting times. I will
say that we are trying to come up with a
(32:39):
name for it, and there's a lot of people that are,
you know, tossing out there the liberty bells, which is
pretty cool.
Speaker 4 (32:46):
Yeah, but I don't think you can do that because
there's already.
Speaker 5 (32:49):
Already a liberty Yeah, you won't do that. I think
it's the Philadelphia Freedom. I think that they're not gonna.
Speaker 4 (32:55):
Have we thought about Philadelphia seventy six.
Speaker 5 (32:57):
Hers hers I thought was pretty cool. That does so
if you have something that's again, we got a lot
of creative minds, especially in Philly. We'd pay attention to
the timeline night in, night out, so if you see one,
shoot it our way. We're live on all socials. Of course,
get involved the conversation, tweet us as well.
Speaker 3 (33:15):
Love to hear it.
Speaker 5 (33:16):
The seventy six hers was pretty cool. I want to
give a shout out to ever got that one. But
I just know how they operate. They named the DC Commanders,
So it's not gonna be anything crazy or spicy, but hey, man,
cool things and you know for the people out there,
like WNBA isn't for me, You know what, man, union soccer, wings, lacrosse.
(33:36):
Not everything has to be for you, right, Like these
are great sports that other people enjoy. Maybe not might
not be your cup of tea, but more the merrier.
We got plenty of room, brand new arena. Hell yeah, man, it's.
Speaker 3 (33:48):
Gonna be a lot of fun in twenty thirty.
Speaker 6 (33:51):
So did they say I didn't get to read a
ton into it. Did they say the plan is for
the WNBA to have their own arena or would they
play in the new it would be in the New Sixers.
Speaker 3 (34:02):
Yeah, yeah, it's gonna be in the New Sixers.
Speaker 4 (34:03):
Or sweet which that's gonna be cool, man. I am
very excited.
Speaker 3 (34:07):
That's gonna be a brand new state of the RF.
Speaker 4 (34:09):
So that's gonna be insane, gonna we're.
Speaker 5 (34:12):
Gonna have things like think about the stupid things that
we're gonna have in that stage. We're gonna be able
to plug our phones into our seats right like they're
gonna do something crazy. Yeah, that's you know, it's gonna
be next level, So it's gonna.
Speaker 4 (34:24):
Be a lot of broad says Nick.
Speaker 5 (34:28):
Nick maccon also had a really good one that he
didn't tweet, and I'm a little upset that he didn't
tweet it. He needs to put that on a timeline
because I think that was the best, and it was.
It was the it was the explicit F word, but
it was spelled with the pH and then the US,
the US, the Philadelphia. I want to give a shout
out of Bette Parks. They had a good one, the
(34:49):
broad Street batties. I thought that was pretty funny. Again,
never gonna happen, but I thought it was pretty good.
Speaker 3 (34:55):
It's great.
Speaker 5 (34:56):
I eliminated Philadelphia Johns from the start, everybody.
Speaker 4 (35:00):
Was gonna go off your commanders, dude, I was telling you.
Speaker 5 (35:03):
Yes, jose Press, checking back in Bryce Harbor, back in
the lineup, coming off the IL.
Speaker 3 (35:07):
Let's go.
Speaker 5 (35:13):
Buddy Kennedy to DFA. Yeah, so we opened up with that.
Of course, all things Phillies here, Jose The party starts
at three o'clock.
Speaker 3 (35:21):
Thank you for joining us.
Speaker 5 (35:22):
Also on the timeline today, is if we didn't have.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
Enough breaking news ought to see.
Speaker 5 (35:28):
Radio stations from coast to coast can now be found
on the iHeartRadio app. I'll give you the organ again.
So look, I know that again. Like sports w NBA
isn't for everybody, WIP isn't for everybody, but they do
pull a lot of here, all right, they do pull
(35:49):
a lot of listeners.
Speaker 3 (35:50):
So here's the deal. You're now on the iHeartRadio app
with us.
Speaker 5 (35:54):
As well as another radio station ninety seven five.
Speaker 3 (35:57):
So you got three sports talkers in.
Speaker 5 (35:59):
The city of phil You we got presets on the
iHeartRadio app.
Speaker 3 (36:02):
It's the best app around.
Speaker 5 (36:04):
Just go ahead and lock in the gambler, lock in WIP,
lock in ninety seven five. You got three sports doctors
you can flip through. We go along here. We don't
take the same commercial brings they do. We go forty
five to fifty minutes a segment that they don't do.
Speaker 3 (36:19):
That. That's the difference between us and what they do. Yeah,
we keep it.
Speaker 4 (36:22):
Who's talking about college football in June? It ain't them.
I'll tell you that right there.
Speaker 6 (36:26):
Hold a magazine, you know, get it out, Come on,
I'll get me fired up.
Speaker 5 (36:30):
Luke, I will say I made Look, Luke, I made
a Heisman Trophy wager this week and.
Speaker 6 (36:35):
Like, go.
Speaker 4 (36:38):
Not Carson Beckham.
Speaker 6 (36:39):
No, definitely not, I'll say, And I do want to
announce this officially. Yeah, for the first time in my life,
I will be purchasing a college football magazine ahead of
the college football.
Speaker 2 (36:52):
Yeah, never purchase, never purchased one in my entire life,
and I will be purchasing one this year.
Speaker 6 (37:00):
Well, if I need to be, I need to be locked, locked, locked,
yes on all things college football.
Speaker 3 (37:07):
Best can't wait. Right around the corner it's here.
Speaker 5 (37:11):
Football season officially starts August seventh, Eagles preseason game one.
Think about that. Right around the corner, we will talk
some football. We had a major trade in the NFL.
I also have a question I was pondering with the
Gambler Gang a little earlier today about drop off from
first to second in all of the NFL divisions around
the Horns. So that sparked up some good conversation there.
(37:32):
So we got a lot to get to again. Luke
rcany hanger with me. We're gonna take quick time out.
We'll come back on the other side. I'm gonna jab
him with some other odds, and before he gets out
of here, Luke's on his way to to see the
Phillies and Padres. This evening, once again, Zach Wheeler a
big time favor on the mount at minus two to
twenty five. Other side, though, I do have to get
this in because last week we were a little over
the place. At the end of the week there uh
(37:54):
jan I Broom selected by the seventy six ers. I
saw Elton Brand said, dude, nice week.
Speaker 3 (37:59):
Gave some dabt. He said, we got some good ones.
We got some good ones.
Speaker 5 (38:03):
I gotta give you my broom take and just have
to be honest about where we're at as far as
the assessment is concerned.
Speaker 3 (38:08):
I want to get that off my chest.
Speaker 5 (38:09):
There's some interesting names that really apply to this selection
here and then you could go on the flip side
and whether or not Daryl Morey needs to get a
little bit more of an opportunity than fans want to
give him.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
As far as draft picks are concerned, we got a
lot to do. Luke r. Kaney on the other side,
is gonna stick around more after this.
Speaker 1 (38:26):
Spring is in the air and it's time to swing
for the fences. All MLB coverage is bringing heat all
season long.
Speaker 4 (38:33):
Everybody moves up ninety B.
Speaker 1 (38:36):
Be sure to catch Luke hrcaney and Sean Brace on
the daily ticket. Only one place that covers all the action.
It's the Gambler.
Speaker 5 (38:49):
Yes, indeed, it is daily take of Luke hrcaney. He
is hanging out for another segment here four o'clock.
Speaker 3 (38:55):
I'm gonna get into a lot that took over, that
took place over the weekend.
Speaker 5 (39:01):
NBA free agency get started officially tonight. Sean Binard and
Sam Ostrich coming away at five PM. Those guys will
steer the ship and set you up for everything you
need to know.
Speaker 3 (39:14):
I don't expect the seventy six ers to be all
that aggressive, but we'll see.
Speaker 5 (39:18):
There's obviously got to fill in a roster. A couple
names out there selling. We will be back, of course, Grimes,
what's the deal there. We're also in the smoking fire territory.
Look where it's like, hey man, I hear Grimes to say,
and he wants twenty five million year now. Back in
my day, twenty five Mili used to be like the
(39:38):
best of the best. Things are so crazy anymore so,
I don't even know like I remember Jason Cappona made
six million dollars and like I lost it. He was
coming off the bench. He was terrible. They signed him
and they I was just blown away, like how are
you paying this guy six Now?
Speaker 3 (39:55):
I don't have that.
Speaker 5 (39:57):
I just point like I don't have it in me
because these contracts are so crazy. I don't know what
a normal run in a mill guy makes off the bench.
Like Lebron opt he's making fifty three million dollars a year.
That's Lebron James fifty three million dollars. It's the best
of the best. But that's not the top contract in
all of sports, I believe.
Speaker 4 (40:18):
I'll tell you this.
Speaker 6 (40:18):
I'm not an NBA or nor do I know the
comparison of money. Let's not give Quentin Grimes twenty five
million dollars a year. You would think that that's that's
probably just my gut feeling to not give Quentin Grimes
twenty five millions.
Speaker 3 (40:34):
Don't want to let him want there you traded, you
brought him in, he was goods, But that's how you want.
Speaker 4 (40:39):
To give him twenty five million dollars a year?
Speaker 3 (40:41):
Correct exactly. I think that's the way you got to
look at it.
Speaker 5 (40:44):
All right, Luke is our go to for all things
golf here on the Gambler and Rocket Mortgage Classic took
a place, took place in Detroit, Rock City, and to
be honest with you, wasn't too sure on who the
hell the guy was that ended up winning it, but
it was a pretty cool way that he did win it.
In the playoff plat that he sunk from way downtown
(41:07):
and you know, twenty two under, which was crazy to me.
The biggest thing for me Aldrich pottagey Er that murdered
his name from South Africa, South Africa. He won twenty
two under and the biggest thing for me as I
was making my way around yesterday and I finally caught
a couple holes at the end.
Speaker 3 (41:26):
Folks, Quota didn't really catch too much of the torment
all week and long.
Speaker 5 (41:31):
Had Keegan Bradley in I one and done for swinging
and dang it, shot twelve under and he didn't sniff
the top. It's like, all right, so you know the
biggest thing that I'm taking away from this weekend, Luke,
is that, hey man, how how about those people that
were yelling about Oakmont, Like, what would you prefer Now
I know weekend week out, we can't have courses. I
(41:53):
think you could actually if you wanted to. There are
some very good superintendents across this country. But like, was
that entertaining? Drive fair away, middle of the green?
Speaker 3 (42:06):
Make putt bird?
Speaker 1 (42:07):
Like?
Speaker 3 (42:07):
Was that entertaining? Or was Oakmon a better feel for you?
Speaker 6 (42:12):
So you can't Here's my thing. You can't have a
tournament like the Rocket Mortgage at a at a at
a club with the conditions like Oakmont. Wow, Because if
if you want a fan to tune in to the
Rocket Mortgage Classic, you don't want the leader going in
the day for it two under.
Speaker 4 (42:31):
You want to see birdies.
Speaker 6 (42:32):
If I'm tuning into a tournament that not a lot
of people care about and some of the big names
aren't playing in, I don't. I don't need to see
guys make the cut after shooting fourteen over. So at
the type of course that you want to see birdies at?
Well said, I will say, like if you are a golfziko,
I didn't get to watch the whole tournament this week,
but I did get to.
Speaker 4 (42:52):
Watch the playoff five playoff holes yesterday.
Speaker 3 (42:55):
Crazy.
Speaker 6 (42:56):
It was a it was a three man five hole
playoff and then obviously he ended up burying that putt, yeah,
on the fifth playoff. All he's only twenty years old.
He is the youngest, so he's from South Africa. He's
the youngest African PGA Tour winner ever. It was it
was a heck of a round. He played twenty three
(43:16):
holes yesterday. Crazy crazy golf. But yeah, it was a
good tournament, a very high scoring leader board. But you
know now he moved towards the Open. Yeah, what coming
up here in a few weeks July seventeenth.
Speaker 5 (43:32):
That's where all eyes are on right now, all the
talking points about the Open Championship.
Speaker 3 (43:37):
Who are you going to take?
Speaker 5 (43:38):
Is it Rory at plus six fifties at Scottie plus
four fifty John Rahm, We're looking at Bryce in where
are you at, gut instincts? What's talking to you right now?
When we get into the Open Championship? Is this a
rory again?
Speaker 3 (43:50):
He's been playing great all season long.
Speaker 6 (43:53):
Yeah, I think it could be definitely.
Speaker 4 (43:58):
My gut until.
Speaker 6 (44:01):
Until it would probably take an injury for my gut
not to go this way. My gut will always go
to Scotty until he doesn't win. But it should be
a fun Reyal Birkdale is a really cool course. It's
it's just one of those just classic old Open courses.
(44:21):
It's it's probably my favorite style of golf to watch,
that type of Open style golf.
Speaker 4 (44:29):
No, I mean it should be a good one.
Speaker 6 (44:31):
You know, the Open is is It's been pretty mixed
in the past years. You know, you've seen sort of
the the big heavy hitters go out there, but then
you've seen some some names win it that that maybe
you wouldn't really expect. I mean, you saw Brian Harmon
win it was that last year years ago, Like you
don't it's not always the best golfers that win the Open.
Speaker 4 (44:53):
Usually it's the best golfers that.
Speaker 6 (44:55):
Win the Masters, and usually it's the almost best offers
that win the US Open. This year I think might
have been a different story, just because the kind of course.
Speaker 4 (45:04):
It was at. But the Open can can sort.
Speaker 6 (45:07):
Of be up for grabs, and you know a lot
of times I think you have to tend to lean
towards some of those European guys.
Speaker 4 (45:14):
I love the bet Shane Lowry always in.
Speaker 3 (45:17):
The Open twenty one, yeah, Roy.
Speaker 4 (45:20):
Twenty five to one.
Speaker 6 (45:21):
I think if you can get any sort of plus
money on a Lowry top ten. I think that's always
a very safe bet at the Open. But you know,
some guys like Victor Hoveland, I think can can always
name that I always like in the Open. But no,
it it should definitely be a fun moer. Obviously a
few weeks away. Yeah, but I will say yeah, so no,
(45:42):
it'll definitely be a go extremely fun.
Speaker 4 (45:45):
You said July seventeen, three weekends.
Speaker 3 (45:49):
Well, tomorrow's Tomorrow's first July, so we're there.
Speaker 5 (45:52):
Come on now again, Xanderschoffle's last year Winter, Brian Harmon
two years ago, cam Smith and then more Kala and
twenty twenty one, so that takes you over the past
four years again, Xander would be a guy that I
would definitely keep my eyes on. But of course Shane
Lowry a fun one to root on.
Speaker 3 (46:08):
All right, let's keep it moving really quick.
Speaker 4 (46:10):
If we are going to move back, just really quick
to Bryce. So Bryce spoke to the media today before
the game.
Speaker 3 (46:16):
Well, yeah, we're going to Phillies to go ahead.
Speaker 5 (46:18):
Phillies and Padres tonight minus two thirty nine. We had
a major jump up minus two twenty five. We took
the commercial break now minus two thirty nine on the
fightings money coming in on the Phillies here.
Speaker 3 (46:29):
What did Bryce say? He said he's going yard.
Speaker 6 (46:33):
Honestly, it kind of seems like the opposite. Harper seemed
a little, you know, not not like down, but.
Speaker 3 (46:41):
He said he was stiff.
Speaker 6 (46:42):
From from the video, it seems like it seems like
he's not one hundred percent, and it seems like to
me that it doesn't they don't know if he's ever
truly gonna be one hundred percent right now. It seems
like to me that as he was dressing through, he
basically said that they kind of hit like a stall
(47:04):
in there and it was the best he's felt.
Speaker 4 (47:07):
He's not in pain, but it's just kinda.
Speaker 6 (47:13):
Still there in a way like it doesn't seem like
this is something that's going to be one hundred and
ten percent. What I've kind of gauging from that now
is I just think they're to be careful with them.
Speaker 4 (47:25):
I think he needs at least one day off a week.
Speaker 6 (47:27):
I don't think you need to be playing Bryce Harper
twenty eight games in July. I definitely think he's gonna
need some breaks, and it seems like they're just gonna
have to manage it because obviously you want Bryce Harper
to be one hundred percent in October, and if you
want that to be the case, and you you're gonna
have to take it easy on him a little bit.
(47:48):
And I think they're definitely going to do that.
Speaker 5 (47:50):
Wow, maybe people are listening to us because that that
is a significant movement. And I said, no, where the
Philly's losing tonight and it bumps up the Mastit dvery night.
So maybe a lot of people are listening to see
the iHeartRadio app. Everybody's listening, everybody's on it. Let's go
all right, let's go ahead and close up. Let's close
up shop here with some winners. Phillies again, padres this evening,
(48:12):
What do you got? What are you looking? As far
as tonight going up again against Waldron get his first
start this year. A couple starts down in El Paso.
You know again, knuckleballer wasn't all that great, didn't have
a bunch of starts last year.
Speaker 3 (48:26):
It could have been difficult if he's on.
Speaker 5 (48:28):
Sure this Phillies lineup, Like I'm looking at a guy
like Schwerbert and I'm saying not today, Like I think
a knuckleball.
Speaker 3 (48:35):
Could give a guy like Schwerber, watch, He's gonna hit
a ball, Miles. That's it. That's it. So we are
we ride in Schwarberg, were looking elsewhere here.
Speaker 6 (48:47):
Something for the first time all season is going to
happen tonight in the Phillies lineup.
Speaker 3 (48:53):
Oh man, what do we got? Who hasn't hit a
home run?
Speaker 6 (48:56):
Is finally going to hit a home run at it
isn't Bank Park this season he has yet to hit
a home run. It's Trey Turner's thirty second birth is
He's back at home.
Speaker 4 (49:10):
Punchdown in Atlanta.
Speaker 6 (49:12):
He he's been the best, He's been the best, most
consistent hitter on the Phillies this year.
Speaker 4 (49:18):
He is getting his first Citizens Bank Park home run tonight.
Speaker 3 (49:23):
How about that?
Speaker 4 (49:23):
Is my take for tonight's game.
Speaker 3 (49:25):
I liked thirty two years old Trade.
Speaker 6 (49:28):
Turn ghitting two ninety six this year, four fifty six sluggin.
Speaker 4 (49:31):
He's already nearly in a three war.
Speaker 6 (49:34):
He is now the team leader in war this year
for all my war people out there, uh twenty stolen bases,
just sixty one strikeouts, thirty eight rbs, eleven home runs,
all on the road. He has already eclipsed one hundred
hits on the season. He's on pace for a two
hundred hit season with the Phillies, thirty five doubles, twenty
two homers, and around an eighty five r I season.
Speaker 4 (49:57):
Not too shabby for Trey. First run the night at
the Bank Boocket.
Speaker 5 (50:01):
Okay, I dig that. Let's put it in together. What
do you say we're gonna We're gonna roll the dice here.
We're gonna come up with a Gambler Gang daily ticket
Luke Arcaanie Chambres ticket here on DraftKings sports book where
we're gonna add it's from. I am definitely looking at
Boom tonight. I like Boom to stay stay steady in
(50:21):
the box, find a pitch, total bases, am going two plus?
That's that plus money, two total bases. There, We'll roll
in a trade Turner home run. That's gonna get us
up just a little bit. And then let's see here,
what about Wheeler strikeouts and the Padres don't strike out
that much?
Speaker 3 (50:41):
Good hitting team?
Speaker 6 (50:43):
Yeah, should we Let's throw in like a six plus?
Speaker 3 (50:48):
How about that six plus?
Speaker 4 (50:51):
You feel comfortable with rolling with a six plus?
Speaker 3 (50:53):
Can do?
Speaker 4 (50:53):
Let's do that let's let's do six plus. And I'm
gonna give you one more.
Speaker 3 (50:58):
Here, DraftKings, who's ready to rake everybody?
Speaker 4 (51:04):
Everyone over and over over. I'm gonna go. I wanna go.
Speaker 6 (51:10):
Brandon Marsh two bases. Okay, I'm gonna roll with Marsh.
Brandon Marsh, two bases. Marsh been hitting the ball well,
having a nice, a nice little season. I know that
this season long stats aren't beautiful, but he's got an
eight nineteen o ps over his last thirty days.
Speaker 4 (51:33):
And the ball well, I'm gonna roll Marsh two bases.
Speaker 6 (51:35):
Back at home bats, get going again the night back
at the bank, and do you want to get a
little dice.
Speaker 3 (51:42):
Oh my god, we got seven legs already. What do
you mean we're getting dicey?
Speaker 1 (51:45):
This is the.
Speaker 5 (51:48):

Speaker 5 (51:57):

We're not gonna win if we go to six. Let's
keep it going. Let's keep it going. Let's keep it going.
Philly's money line, Philly's money line. Let's keep it going. Here,
I love it. I love it. Turn I'm trying to
find trade Turner home right, So trade Turner home run.
There you go, boom, that's plus three eighty. This thing's
(52:19):
gonna be Juice Philly's money line minus two thirty nine.
We should probably go run line right. Yeah, let's go
mine enough. I got the boomer, I got the and
you said, uh Marsh, Marsh, Marsh, Okay, marshit minus one
seventy five for one. If we come up short because
(52:41):
of Brandon Marsh, I'm never gonna forgive you.
Speaker 3 (52:44):
Let's see here, So Schoreber, Turner run line Marsh.
Speaker 5 (52:49):

Speaker 3 (52:56):

Wheeler here is off the off the board.
Speaker 5 (53:02):
Oh no, Wheeler is off the board currently right now,
as we sit here with four plays, we're at plus.
Speaker 4 (53:09):
Four fourteen wheeler.
Speaker 5 (53:11):
All right, let's do Kyle Schwarber rb I one Trey
Turner home run, one man Phillies minus one and a half,

Speaker 6 (53:50):
