of that game. They ended uplosing by four. The only other game
that I was flirting with was theNuggets, Nuggets and Clippers. Nuggets ended

up losing that game. Clippers surprisedme to win that game. They were
point dog at home. Nuggets endedup winning or Clippers ended up winning,
and six Ers. Sixers went downthe road beat up on a pretty bad
Wizards team, although I'm not Idon't think they don't. They didn't beat
up on them, Let's just putit that way. But oh yeah they
didn't. Well did yeah? Beatdid and be win for fifty? I

Trent Grisham Yankees received him from thePadres. San Diego sent Michael King,
Burrito Vasquez, starting pitching proSP DrewThorpe and catcher Kyle Higgeyoshki Yashka.

Uh. Those are two prospects.And I love that you went from that.
I don't know if you got thatright. You went for it though.
I love the commitment. I'll oh, I'll always try. And you
know, the Asian names, Ilike saying them, you know, and

from I just want to get thisquestion off the jump. So we know
wn Soto is an amazing ballplayer.He's twenty five years old. I understand
the contract coming into play, borisagent, all that he's now traded twice

twice, and and yeah, salaryhas a lot to do with both of
those moves. But maybe there issomething happening behind the scenes. Maybe there
is a there there. I'm notsaying he's a bad teammate. You're applying
that's what it sounds like you're implying. I don't know. I don't know.
I just know that if it's likethe old cliche is, you know

they're not moving you if you're providingyour worth. And I don't know,
Juan Soto, would you not wantto hang on to him if you're the
padres or is the writing on thewall for you? Yeah? Writing?
They weren't going to sign him toa contract. And I think wan Sota
wants to test the waters, youknow, I think he wants to test
free agency, wants to test,uh, you know, that big contract,
because he's going to get a hugecontract whenever he does ends up hitting

free agency without any restrictions, andso yeah, I mean that's that's the
problem here. He was on Washington. Washington doesn't sign anybody. So Washington
was already really bad a couple ofyears ago, so they wanted to move
on. They wanted to move onto at least get something for him Padres.
They've spent a lot of money.They don't want to spend more money,
especially the kind of money that Wansdais going to get. So they

just want to go ahead and makesure they got draft picks or make sure
they got players, mostly before theygot rid of Soda or Soda was just
gonna walk, and the Yankees area team that's willing. Look, they're
not gonna be able to sign himto an extension or anything. I don't
think Soda is gonna do that,but at least the Yankees have him in
there. They have them for ayear, and the Yakis are going to
be willing to spend as much moneyas they can to keep him. But

I just, yeah, I thinkthe Yankees are at least the first team
that he's been on that is thatis going to be willing to end up
wanting to pay that contract and atleast want to keep him around for that
kind of money. Does he havethe two organizations? I mean, I
know the Padricks have spent They've doneThey've done an excellent job spending for a
franchise that is not a top market. They've done an awesome job spending money,

and I commend an organization for doingthat. But they were on going
to spend that much, and soI think it was just kind of writing
on the wall there for Soda thathe wasn't going to stay and they at
least wanted to get something for him. Yankees again, you just can't bank
on them remaining healthy. But youknow, you got Judge out there,
like that's a pretty damn good rosterright now, sluggers all over the place,

and it's just you know, Stanton, Stanton's still good. It's I
don't know he'll be there, stilla question of yeah, whether or not
he how good he's going to beand what they want to do with him.
But I it's I mean, youhave Aaron Judge, He's one of
the best sluggers in baseball. Pairedwith Wad Soda is just one of the
best overall hitters in baseball. Andthey just made another trade with the Socks

the other day and Socks yeah yeah, and Verdugo thank you. How do
you say his name? Yeah fordo Go. He's a leadoff hitter.
So you got Soto, you gotJudge, you got Rizzo, you got
Torres, you got the Mayhew,you got good last year Bolby, you
know, coming off of his rookieseason betting a nine hole. It's a

really good squad. Again, ifthey could stay healthy, that's the big
deal with all those names, andmore so about Stanton than anything. And
I don't know if he's gonna either. I don't know what the contract is,
if they're trying to save money onthat or what. I just remember
that the the the cash man hadsomething to say, and then of course
the the agent for uh for standingreally was like upset about it, rightfully.

So so again we'll see what happens. But as far as the answer
concerned, they're they're hey, look, they're doing their due diligence. They're
making things happen right here in thehot stove season. A lot you know,
not really not a lot happening foreverybody else. We're I guess we're
waiting on Show hey, more thananything still and then the Domino, Yeah,
we're waiting for Show. Well,you can't dice him up in the

need to go full out of them. Actual Puster was asking for He did

look that's where that's what you want. Like you're you're straddling a very

Major League Baseball. Craig Kimberrell,thank you see you if you're Baltimore.
What the hell are you thinking?What do we have to do? We
have to be that way about KimberleAre you that way too? Like,
hey, good riddance. You knowyou were awful, John, He was
terrible. He's the reason why theydidn't beat the the the Ears on the
Diamondbacks. He's also the reason whythey were in the postseason again someone else

he was. He was put intoa position he probably shouldn't have been in.
Uh, and he was, hewas getting in game, probably should
not have gotten right. He wasgay, But why was he gassed?
Though? Well, he pitched hisass off in that first half. He
was an all Star. Yeah,And if they don't have that, they
don't probably win as many games asthey should and Craig Kimberl. Craig kimber
was never brought in to be acloser, and he worked his way into

that closer. Brought him to bea closer closer I would found Craig kimber
was not good enough for that,Like we know he's at the end of
his career. Of course, thatwas Baltimore. Baltimore's crazy to even bring
him in. Well, Baltimore,that just shows how desperate that she shows
how desperate they are with Felix Bautistyle for the year because he got hurt

late this season and he was awesome. Felix Potis is one of the best
closers in all of baseball. Hewas automatic every time he went out there.
So it's it's a shame. Butyeah, they're gonna be without him
for a year, this whole upcomingyear, and I imagine they were just
desperate to get anybody. And look, Kimberl should probably be retired. He's
probably be you know done at thispoint. Yes, but I mean for

him, good for him, gotthirteen million dollars, gonna catch another contract
just because he's a veteran that couldeat up some innings in the bullpen.
But yeah, that just shows Baltimorehow desperate they are. Really. God,
he's pitched for everybody man he's beenaround. Yeah, I mean,
look, if he's getting that contract, good for him. Should take notes.
Let's talk about what took place.Speaking of the Diamondbacks, Eduardo Rodriguez

four years, eighty million dollars fromthe Detroit Tigers. Now with a pretty
good rotation out there, really goodlefty again, just the Diamondbacks putting it
together and they got a strong rotation. There's nothing else you need to say.
They got some really good players overthere. Uh, some guys that
have made some names for themselves.Carrol's looking really good, of course in

his rookie season. There's a lotto like with Arizona. That's a that's
a good move by the Diamondbacks.I like it. It is a good
move. I would have to looka little bit deeper than Edgewater Rodriguez because
I feel like he had a reallygood year last year. But that's it
seems like not an anomaly. Uh, but I imagine he's not gonna have
the same number seeded last year.It's probably gonna get worse. This actually
to me, like Edwater, Riguezis like a Taiwan walker at this point,

you can't put up good numbers likecan can be good, but for
the most part he's probably gonna havean era in the fours and mid fours
give you some good innings and times, but this guy isn't gonna be I
don't think Rodriguez is, you know, putting them over the top next year.
And Diamondbacks, it's gonna be reallytough to repeat what they did last
year. You know, we sawwith the Phillies how tough it is to
actually just go back into the playoffsand you know, do the same thing

you did last season. It's reallyhard to do that, especially for a
team that hasn't done it much.And for the Diamondbacks, they're younger.
Some of those guys should get better, but they were getting a lot of
performances out of guys that aren't verygood. Like Evon Lonngreya is not going
to give them stuff anything again,they're pitching staff. I don't think their
pitching staff is going to be nearlyas good, So it'll it'll be fascinating,
you know what they try and do. How much the Diamondbacks try to

build up that roster war to makesure they get back to the World Series
again. But I just don't.I don't see it. I don't see
that time improving like that. Isee them just regressing. And yeah,
look edwater Rodriguez three point three zero, raight not bad. A four point
zero six x FIP and a fourpoint zero four FIP Like that's what that
guy is. He's a he's gonnabe in the fours. It's some seasons

it's going to be a four pointseven to four like it was in twenty
twenty one with Boston, and someyears it's going to be potentially a three
point three zero, which was hisbest year so far in Major League Baseball.
But that's not always going to bethe case, you know, I
don't. I don't think this guy'scan repeat anything he did last year,
all right, and then excuse meto the Phillies. The one rumor that
was hot and heavy on the timelineyesterday, dude to Jock Peterson tweeting out

a picture of him in the Fanaticssaying, it's always funny in Philadelphia.
I don't know, maybe thing happened, Maybe he was scrolling through his pictures.
I think that there's probably something there. Uh, what is your take
on Jacques Peterson, who's thirty oneyears old, played the last two seasons
for the San Francisco Giants. Ibelieve diged up a little bit last year.

Played him one hundred and twenty onegames the year before one thirty four
with a two thirty five batting average, a three forty eight OBP. And
let's see here, la la,anything else you want to know from him?

nothing much other than you know youcan use him because obviously they were
using a lot of Pacha and Rojasright handed bats. Nothing really crazy,
so you can platoon him. He'sreally the platoon guy. That's it.
He can only go out there againstrighty's certain situations. You don't want him
out there against the lefty. Isn'tthe best fielder, so you know,

it's only certain situations where he workswell. He's a very Darren Ruff of
Darren Ruff's where you only want toput him out there in very very certain
situations and he succeeds. Other thanthat though not too great. So yeah,
Jock, Jock Peterson's to me,whatever, don't I don't think it's
really necessary to get Jock Peterson.Kind of surprised if they do sign him,
if there is anything to that.Whatever the post was, you know,

I don't know why he posted that. I didn't even see any rumors
about Jack Peterson to begin with,and all of a sudden he posted a
picture and everybody's just like, Okay, let's run with that, I guess.

an actual rumor, I don't know. I don't know what to make of
it. And to me, Ijust don't. It doesn't move the needle

kind of moves they're they're gonna make. They're not you know, they're not
gonna make a move for show.Hey, that's that's very clear. And
they weren't going to trade for JuanSoto, but you know, they don't

want to spend they've already. Look, they've already spent a lot of money.
I'm not saying they shouldn't spend more. Go ahead, it's not my
money. I don't give a bleep. Spend as much money as you can.
I would love for them to spendas much money. But in a
practical sense of an organization trying tobuild a roster. They've spent big contracts
already. They've done that, youknow. They they have two three hundred

million dollar contracts. They've spent overone hundred million dollars and two hundred million
dollars in a few pitchers. They'vedone it for guys like Nick Cassianis at
Shoreber. They spent the money.You know. I don't think they're gonna
spend any more money than they wantto. So it's gonna be guys like
Jock Peterson. They just fill thevoid of the roster, you know,
things like the Orioles just did.Try and find a guy you can get

for ten to thirteen million for yourbullpen. I'm sure they want some bullpen
held. So that's that's what they'regonna do. But yeah, other than
that, it's nothing. They're reallynot going to be involved in any of
these big market ones. All right, anything else from the world of baseball,
it's just about show hay at thispoint in time, show you.
I mean that once out of themit was big. Yeah. Good for

because that was awful last year.Their fan base needed something, and I
think the Yankees knew how desperate theywere to try and get something, you

needed that. And the Guardians endedup with the number and overall pick in

they were supposed to go Guardians dueto the odds. Like I'm so glad

Spirited Away, Princess Monon. Okay, how's moving Castle. These are legendary
movies. Last night I saw four. You saw four. I saw four.
I went for it. I wentfor that. I got to the
movie theater at twelve ten didn't leavetill eleven thirty. I saw four and

the last one. I imagine you'rea Paul Giamadi. Yes, uh,
he just put on a performance ofa lifetime in The Holdovers. That is
what it's what. It's automatic.It's one of my at least top ten
favorite movies of the year. Itmight be a top five favorite movie in
the year for me. And it'sa great It's a Christmas movie too,
Essentially, it's more than that.Obviously. It's very nuanced, very good.

But damn did I like I'm Iwas blaring Christmas music on the way
back. I was like, Istarted out, I got a candle,
that the Christmas street candle. Ilit that up. Ue. I'm on
the holiday spirit now like that.That one got me. It was a
nice, cozy, warm blanket ona Christmas in December wintery day. It
was perfect. It was so sogood. You saw four movies yesterday?

Yep, I saw four. Twoof them I liked. Two of them
were all right. Two of themactually didn't like. I didn't like Napoleon.
You saw you didn't like Napoleon.I did not like Napoleon. I
am not. I saw four moviesin the movie theater. Yes, in
the movie theater. Four movies,back to back to by yourself, by

myself, back to back to backto back. I ate a bucket and
a half. I thought I wasgonna get through two buckets of popcorn.
I only got through a bucket anda half and one soda, and I
also had a water by the end. I had a water to make sure
I was hydrated. But yeah,I saw four movies. It was Godzilla
minus one, Napoleon dream Scenario,and then the holdovers. I'm trying to
make my final push in twenty twentythree to make sure I have all these

movies sorted out before I start puttingout these lists to no buddy that who
cares about this. But I justwant to get it, get it together,
get it in order. You sawfour movies in I saw four movies
in the movie theater. Yeah,that's the second time I've done that.
I tried to do that previously.I only got to I think I like

got the two and then I waslike, I can't do anymore, and
I backed out. But I thisthis second time I have done. Four
minus one was the Godzilla w Godzillamovie. Fantastic Godzilla movie. I've mean
amazing. It was because it givesyou, look, it gives you all
the Godzilla stuff, a big,you know, giant monster who can shoot

heat beams out of its mouth.It's great. But there's a nice,
very human, especially like Japan postWorld War two story that that goes really
well with Godzilla. It was justit was very well done. You know,
communities and people coming together and tryingto survive in very difficult times.
It was awesome. It was reallygood assistance. I crided a Godzilla movie.

By the way, I cried ita Godzilla movie. If that tells

bit that Cincinnati would be favored justbecause of what Jake Browning did, but
