Speaker 1 (00:01):
This is the Daily Ticket with Sean Briggs giving you
the edge you need.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
That sounds like something that might be interesting.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
Let's go on Fox Sports Radio The Gambler. The action
starts here.

Speaker 2 (00:17):
And Jabre, Sam Oustrey and Julian vo over DraftKings Sports.
We're just joining us in just a second. Breaking news
if you missed it.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Aaron Rodgers, it's kind of to Pittsburgh. Do you really
need to play?

Speaker 1 (00:31):
Sam?

Speaker 2 (00:32):
I gotta ask you, like, are you you know? Does
it seem like he loves football? He really needs to
play for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He must, he must at
some point.

Speaker 4 (00:40):
He's had a lot of family stuff going on too, Yeah,
which is why he didn't make a decision for a while.
But it was always Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh knew it was always him.
That's why they didn't draft a quarterback. That's why Mike
Tomlin was holding out. And now it's it's a It's
a marriage that will be united and we'll see if
it has any success or not.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
A lot of great marriages out there that seemed to
be going over some rocky times these days. Hopefully Tomlin
and Aaron Rodgers don't turn into DJT and and Elon
Musk I.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Was like, I was like, where are you?

Speaker 2 (01:11):
Where are you going with this playing out on the
timeline near you at.

Speaker 4 (01:15):
The force was inevitable. That was about minus one hundred thousand.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
All right, let's head to a great family man himself.
This dude right here is dialed in and all things
NBA Finals for the folks over at DraftKings Sportsbook Football
season inch and closer. But man, I'm really intrigued in
how he's going to get down. Of course, series prices
is are through the roof. We have some slight movement

(01:40):
in favor of the Pacers, and that's understood. I figured
that Joe Public would get on Indiana with that plus
four seventy five mark, But there's a hundred different ways.
Plus over at DraftKings Sportsbook. Two wager on Game one
and the NBA Finals, and we're gonna try and hit
on every one of those wagers. I kid Juliana, I
love joining us right now on the Gambler hotline.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Julian, how we doing today, sir?

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Doing well?

Speaker 5 (02:04):
Excited that we're done with this NBA layoff and you know,
slow time of year, so let's get going.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah, you're right about that quick one. Let me get
your gauge you on this one here your temperature. Should
we care about what casual say? Like like I've had enough.
I don't care for the people that are like, ah,
no super stards in this NBA finals.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
On that way.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
If that's your take, then shut up, like I don't,
like we need to just move past those people, because like,
it's sports. I love sports. I watched I watched probably
ten hockey games all season. You know what I watched
last night? Gave one to the Stanley Cup finals where
I know three players.

Speaker 6 (02:41):
Okay, it's sports. I love sports. That's what we do here.
We love sports, sports, and we care about these casual takes.
And it's just like, why why do we put ourselves
through this? You don't want to watch?

Speaker 2 (02:52):
So what sorry, Julian, Should we care about the casuals opinions?

Speaker 5 (02:58):
No? I mean it is what it is. I'm I'm
bitter here in Boston because I was excited about a
title window that I thought was wide open and now
it's you know, one championship and it could be closed
until that window could be closed until the twenty twenty
seven title. Like things changed quickly, so kind of take.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
It for what it is.

Speaker 5 (03:20):
We'll see if this Pacers team that made it to
the Eastern Conference Finals last year and made it to
a NBA Cup Final the previous year, like they've been
better than we've expected all along, we'll see if they're
better than we expect against against OKC. This this opened
with OKC is the sixth largest final favorite of all time.

(03:42):
On the series line, it has moved from minus seven
to fifty to minus six to seventy five on DK sportsbook.

Speaker 1 (03:47):
It's now the.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
Eighth largest series betting favorite in NBA's Finals history. But
the Pacers have won two game ones on the road
in a row, So you know, let's let's see what
happens tonight.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
I like that number up to ten right now on
DraftKings Sportsbook show, and ten basically was hanging at nine
from the time at open to where we're at right now.
Two thirty people are looking at that number going with
and I thought, we have one great defensive team in here. Yeah,
the Pacers like to run a lot. They play with
a ton of pace. What jumps out at you more?
What do you like more from the betting perspective in

(04:23):
Game one? Are you leaning a little total play with
a a you know, a play on either the over
or the under. Something hitting you there? Or do you
like the point spread? Were you at as far as
Game one on both of those sides?

Speaker 5 (04:36):
Yeah? I mean last week when we spoke, I said
that I like, okay seeing the series, but I think
it's going to be priced in a way that maybe
there's some value not to betting Indiana to win the
series as the public is doing. By the way, it's
seventy five percent of the money at DraftKings Indiana to
win the series. So DK Sportsbook will be thunder fans

(04:57):
for this series now that we're here, I don't even
I don't even know if I can do Indie plus
the two and a half games to get to and
extend this to six. An interesting game one nugget going
back twenty five years. This is the Tonight will be

(05:19):
the fifth time that we've had a Game one favorite
of nine and a half or more points. The underdogs
are four to zero against the breasts. They have covered
all of them. They're two and two straight up. Those
wins would be now we're going way back though, those
wins would be the two thousand and four Detroit Pistons,

(05:39):
who were nine and a half point dogs at the
Lakers one. Game one won the series. Theories was pretty
similar to this one. Lakers minus seven hundred Pistons plus
five hundred Pistons one and five. There's your model of
what indie what type of upset this would be? Do
you know the other one in the last twenty five years?

Speaker 1 (05:59):
Six seric game?

Speaker 5 (06:04):
I got it? I got asked few for a reason.
Game one two thousand and one steps over ty Loo
six as eleven and a half point dogs. Wow, win
game one and overtime in la other two. By the way,
the dogs actually should be three and one straight up
in this game. The most recent one twenty eighteen Calves

(06:26):
plus twelve and a half against Warriors, dribbles out the
clock in a tie, game goes to overtime, Calves lose
by ten. They cover the twelve and a half, but
they lose the game. So underdogs have done very well.
Big underdogs last twenty five years have done very well
in these games. Now that recent one is the only
real model, or like recent game, those other three are

(06:51):
all Kobe and Shaq Lakers teams that didn't cover. Two
of them lost out right so it's been a long time.
Okay See just wins in so many blowouts. Okay See
is a home favorite thirty four, fourteen and two against
the spread this season. Okay See is a double digit
favorite twenty six, thirteen and one against the spread this season.

(07:15):
I'm gonna get cute. I don't want to. I don't
want to get into this double digit trend. I don't
want to be laying too many points. I did the
first quarter, full game, double result, get out to the
strong start at home. Maybe Indy's a little overwhelmed. That's
only minus one twenty five on DK sportsbook. That is
the best price that you will find out there. I
don't mind the double result either, but that's how I'll

(07:37):
be playing it. Okay See to take a lead early
and finish off the game right.

Speaker 3 (07:41):
Favorite, by the.

Speaker 5 (07:42):
Way, favorite favorites over the last twenty NBA Finals. This
is from Action Network eighteen and two straight up, seventeen
and three against the spread in Game one of the
NBA Finals.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
Yoh well, look, I like what you were talking about
as far as the big time dogs in the Game
one and going back and having them win out right too.
And I feel like the Pacers are going to get
one of these first too.

Speaker 3 (08:07):
I just don't believe this is going to be a sweep.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
I do I think they're gonna go in there and
get one of the Yeah, I do, I do.

Speaker 3 (08:14):
I feel like that that is the case.

Speaker 2 (08:16):
And let me tee you up on this question, because
this is why I do believe that.

Speaker 3 (08:21):
I think the Pacers are a good basketball team.

Speaker 2 (08:24):
I think they're playing great hoops right now, and and
and look what they have shown us.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
Look who have they have beaten so far.

Speaker 2 (08:31):
And it should be enough for like the average Joe
fan out there. I get it without diving into the
numbers like you just said to to to realize like, yeah, look, okay,
so she's a great basketball team. The Pacers are a
damn good team right now. They've been playing great since January,
start off with the sluggish Star, everything that they've had
going for them, and then in the playoffs, they were
the better team against the Knicks, they were the better

(08:53):
team against the Calves, and the Calves were a great
basketball team this year. So I just feel like there's
a lot of undervalue right now, of undervaluing right now
with the Indianapolis or excuse me, any other Pacer. So
that's where I'm at right now, and that's why I
think the Pacers plus ten are the play tonight.

Speaker 5 (09:09):
Again.

Speaker 2 (09:10):
I'm not gonna argue because we know how great Oklahoma
City is, but I'll take the ten points. I'll roll
with the Pacers here and that's about as far as
I can get as with my Pacers. Love.

Speaker 5 (09:20):
Yeah, it's the Calves are definitely the blueprint right for
this postseason run of what the Pacers can do. Huge
underdogs in that one. I played them with some games
in the series. I took them ahead of Game two
in the series. I believed in them. There the different
like the difference is we kind of saw as it

(09:42):
went on, all right, the Calves are a little worn
down from going pedal to the metal all season.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
They were danged up.

Speaker 5 (09:49):
They had three of their top seven guys out Game
two and kind of did their best to return and
play as well as they could as the series went on.
I don't I feel like I can talk myself into
reasons why the Calves were not as good at that
point in time as they were the rest of the season,
or as we believed they would be. And I think, Okay,

(10:11):
see probably is just about as good as we think.
That's the one difference in my mind my series play.
I've been trying to figure out how to play this series,
and it goes kind of against one of the things
that you just said of Indiana stealing one of these
first two on the road. I was like, how do

(10:32):
you play this with such a monster favorite when you
actually believe Okaysee wins.

Speaker 1 (10:36):
Yeah, you can lay the two and a half games.

Speaker 5 (10:38):
Which is like minus one twenty one thirty range.

Speaker 1 (10:40):
Well, they get it done in five or less.

Speaker 5 (10:43):
Only place you're gonna find this market, I believe is
DraftKings sport Book Sportsbook. To go undefeated at home, you
can bet it on the Pacers or the Thunder. Okay
See is minus one twenty to go undefeated at home
if it's a sweep, you win the first two. If
it's Indie, one of games three or four, and you
come back home like Minnesota as like a minus four hundred,

(11:05):
minus four fifty home favorite to close it out in five,
you're sitting on a good number for that game. So
ok se minus one twenty not to lose at home
is how I will betting the series.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
Oh, I like that.

Speaker 4 (11:17):
Julian, let's talk some player props here for both tonight
and the series. And look, there's a lot of conversation
about Tyres Halliburn and superstar, not a superstar whatever. That's
a conversation for another day. In terms of this series,
I think myself and a lot of other people aren't
expecting a lot from him, just because you go back

(11:37):
in with those two regular season games against a Thunder.
They're a Thunder's aggressive ball pressure. They shut off drives,
they rotate and recover so well. The cast of guys
that they can throw at him where it's like these
last three defense that they played, where it's constantly targeting
bruntson Cat the Cavs and Bucks bad point of attack defenses.

Speaker 3 (11:54):
When you have lou Dort.

Speaker 4 (11:55):
Cason Wallace, Alex Caruso, some Jalen Williams shifts, all these
guys are gonna throw it Tyre Sliburn, Okay, gonna smash
his rhythm, is gonna be disruptive, praise slip flopping, he slip.

Speaker 5 (12:11):
Flopping, calling out the flip slope.

Speaker 4 (12:18):
But just to finish it up, it's like all these
guys are gonna be able to throw on Tyry Saliburn.
His drives were down, his shot attempts were down. In
the regular season against the Thunder. Where are you on
Tyri Saliburn tonight? I believe it's at seventeen and a
half last time I saw his points prop tonight, and
I believe that's the same for a series long points prop.
What are you expecting from Tyris Sliburn? And then are
there any other props you're targeting for tonight?

Speaker 1 (12:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (12:40):
Okay, So he's a tough matchup for Haliburton and as
clutch as he has been on some of these shots,
and for the monster games that he's capable of having
from time to time, the triple double in the Knicks
series being kind of the highlight game of this postseason him.

(13:01):
I'm not in the I don't like the whole superstar
and whatever debates. I don't think Tyrus Haliburton is necessarily
overrated like that that vote of his peers. But I'm
not a huge like Tyre's Halliburton game. I don't think
he's like he just doesn't feel like the number one
guy on a championship team to me, If that's the

(13:23):
best way to put it, I guess so. Yeah, I'm
fading him in this series. It's such a tough matchup.
You laid out all the guys that they're gonna be
able to throw on Halliburton, quick guys, testy, annoying guys, bigger,
stronger guys like it's gonna be a lot. So I
played some Halliburton earlier under nine and a half assists.

(13:45):
I think we're down to eight and a half. That
just kind of being the ball pressure different guys thrown
at him. I don't think he's gonna have, you know,
an easy time finding guys. If you want to go
with the points and assists combo under I'm good with
that too. I don't think he's gonna have a very
easy time scoring. But yeah, I think starting out on

(14:06):
the road is probably the best time to get after
some of these.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Got Julian ed though, for DraftKings sportsbook is normal three
thirty spot here on the Thursday Wax and Poetic all
things NBA Finals, Game one staying and I know you
don't really dabble too much in the world of the props,
but I'm curious, Julian, when it comes to Okay, we
break this game down every which way for the last
couple of days. One thing that I know is that
what the team with the Timberwolves did against SGA was

(14:30):
not good enough. The plan of attack there as far
as single and trying to defend him with one player,
he can't do that. So if if the Pacers are successful,
force the ball out of SGA's hands. And I'm not
telling you to take the under on SGA. I still
think he gets his But is it a check look
for you? Are you looking in Chet's direction as far

(14:51):
as him going off and his player prop is pretty obtainable.
I think it was at sixteen and a half, which
he averaged fifteen and a half so far throughout the
course of his playoffs. Are you looking at g Allen Williams?
Is there another player in mind? From Oklahoma City's perspective?
If SGA has to give up the ball, and look,
he's a pretty damn good passer too as well, he's
not afraid to do it. Who else gets involved leads

(15:11):
the charge for ok See if SGA has to.

Speaker 5 (15:13):
Give it up, Yeah, we'll see if Indy's capable of doing.
You know what it did to Jalen Brunson at times
in the last series. But also let's go back to
the Cavs series.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
Donovan Mitchell was fantastic. It was not his fault that
the Calves lost, it was other guys. He had some
monster games.

Speaker 5 (15:32):
Sga the game in Indy this season had forty five,
eight and seven in that game.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
I like I like Nemhard a lot.

Speaker 5 (15:44):
I liked Nei Smith a lot when he was here
in Boston, and I'm happy that he's doing well in India.
I think those guys are really strong, athletic, tough defenders.
But you know, I'm, like you said, I'm not going
to fade SGA.

Speaker 1 (16:00):
In any way in this series.

Speaker 5 (16:02):
Maybe they can attempt to shut him off a little
bit from a scoring perspective, although Indy's been allowing the
other team to shoot as many free throws as anybody,
and we know that SGA can get to the line.
Just going back to one thing in terms of like
a series long prop that in some ways fades Halliburton
but backs Sga. SGA is like plus three hundred neighborhood

(16:25):
to lead the series and assists.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
And that's because.

Speaker 5 (16:27):
Haliburton was opened like minus six hundred. I think he's
minus four hundred now. If Halliburton is going under his
assist props and SGA whoever over eight assists the game
against Minnesota. You know, Halliburton deserves to be favored, but
the gap there's a little bit too much for me.
I'll take SGA at like three to one in that

(16:50):
neighborhood to lead the series and assists.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
One of the markets that just made my mouth drop
it again, Like, I know, we all know how great
SGA is. He's the MVP and an unbelievab year he
led the league in scoring. But this market made my
absolute jaw drop earlier to yes, Yes, the point that
the differentials for us to payout is concerned SGA minus

(17:13):
thirty five hundred to be the series leader in total points,
and then Jalen Williams is plus twenty five hundred that's
the number two on the DraftKings odds board. Then Nico
Siakam twenty eight to one, Tyres Haliburn forty five to one,
he is minus thirty five hundred to lead.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
It's like that is just insane, I guess, Julian.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
You know, like when we do this for a live
we talk about these games all the time, like how
many times is it as easy on paper?

Speaker 3 (17:39):
Like how many times. Is it is it this easy?

Speaker 2 (17:42):
Like that's That's another thing that's just eaten at me
right now, because I get it there are a lot
of people that are on the pacers. A lot of
people are taking the pacers because of the payout, and
there's nothing there that they can get involved from from
Oklahoma City's perspective, that's my take on that. But as
we see here and break down this game, it just
feels like it's too damn easy for Olhoma City.

Speaker 5 (18:02):
Yeah, I mean, don't take somebody else to leave the
series and story. Yeah, I just don't think it's gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
No, definitely not that. Yeah.

Speaker 5 (18:12):
Yeah, But let's think about it this way. Is there
gonna be an okay see blowout where like in Isaiah
Joe or o'wiggins has like twenty four points off the bench.
Is there going to be a game where Haliburton or
Siakam goes for forty game by game? If you want
to go game leader in scoring and try some long

(18:34):
shots in some of these, I think that could be
worth it. Series, I can't get there. Maybe you want
to go Holmegren. You brought up Homegren's props and I
didn't really touch on him. I think Homegren should have
a pretty good series. He missed both games against Indiana
this year when he was out. He played well against

(18:54):
them last season, and I think that Okac will play
a little bit smaller in this series. Minnesota is a
big team. They had to play Chet, Holmgren and Asaiah
Heart and Seen together. Now they can get away with
one big and home Gren is their preferred guy obviously,
so they can just throw him on Turner and you know,

(19:16):
play even smaller. And that lineup has not, you know,
graded out too well with with Heart and See and
Chet in there together as well as they would they
would like it too, So I don't think that's gonna
make me play home Grin overs. But we should see
a good amount of him here. If anything, maybe Hertenstein
unders because they take him off the floor.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
And you know that can get messy.

Speaker 5 (19:39):
If Holmgren gets into some foul trouble, then Art and
Scene's gonna come in and play the minutes. But that's
kind of the way I'm looking at it there, And
uh yeah, don't bet somebody else to leave the series
and scoring. But if you want to bet a game
long shot, then go ahead. I particularly like that blowout
angle for these games in OK see where you go
way off the board.

Speaker 4 (19:58):
So so your point about che I actually played a
very small sprinkle on his MVP at plus eight thousand,
because look, I mean, the thunder gonna win, Shay's gonna
win the MVP, but I'm not touching that at minus
six hundred, and we've seen some kind of fluky things
happen with the MVP voting Andre Goadala back in twenty fifteen,
where he was the obviously the primary defender on le Bron.

Speaker 3 (20:20):
That's a big reason why he won.

Speaker 4 (20:22):
But with this Chet matchup everything, Julian just laid out
like this Pacers team isn't a particularly good rebounding team,
so they can play with that lone big where it's
gonna be Chet at the five and and Hartenstein on
the bench.

Speaker 3 (20:34):
So I like Chet for that reason.

Speaker 4 (20:36):
I also think we'll have a matchup advantage against guys
like Pascal Siakim.

Speaker 3 (20:39):
He's a height advantage against.

Speaker 4 (20:41):
If Miles Turner used to stick Miles Turner on him,
he's the latter Miles Turner got cooked by Cat.

Speaker 3 (20:46):
You saw that all last series. Cat was just driving
by him.

Speaker 4 (20:48):
All the time, and they hard just had to send
doubles at Cat eventually, but they're not setting doubles at
Chet ever because the Thunder just too talented. Obviously, he's
their third option offensively when he's on the floor with
Jan William and Shay. So I think there's gonna be
opportunities for Chet to take advantage of that matchup with
Miles Turner. When Miles Turner gets gets shifts on him,
he just Miles Starts doesn't have that lateral quickness to

(21:10):
guard Chet's drifts.

Speaker 3 (21:11):
So I think there's an opportunity for Chet to have
a huge series.

Speaker 4 (21:13):
And I'm not saying that he's gonna win the MVP necessarily,
but a plus eight thousand when I want to play
the MVP market and I'm not touching Shay, I think
check was the guy from me.

Speaker 5 (21:23):
I'm looking around right now because I'm trying to find
something else that's in the eighty to one neighborhood for
you to bet instead.

Speaker 3 (21:30):
That'd be nice. You can find it, please let me know.

Speaker 5 (21:34):
I don't know. I don't disagree with any of your analysis,
so like maybe you want to just take home grins
like per games on points and rebounds or alternates like
twenty and ten double double props, Like I think all
of that is obtainable. I think there's no way okay
Se wins this series and SGA isn't far and away

(21:58):
like the best player. It doesn't mean that Homegren can't
play really well, but the like if OKC wins, that
she is going to be great. So the only way
for Homegrin to win the MVP then is that Homegron
has to be greater than SGA was, and I don't
know how he necessarily does that, So you know, it's

(22:20):
too too much of a long shot for me. But
I don't disagree with your thought process of him having
a great series. So I'm just trying to think of
another way to just go like twenty and ten every
game or something like that and still get a high
payout but not have to win the MVP.

Speaker 4 (22:36):
When I say it was a sprinkle, I mean it
was a light sprinkle just to get involved in the MVP.

Speaker 5 (22:40):
You got to play there a light sprinkle.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
It's a small bonus bet.

Speaker 2 (22:45):
Chipping a chair, as they say, a chipping a chair,
all right, Julian Edelo, last one here as far as
d NBA Finals. Game one is concerned winning margin. Where
you at like is this getting ugly? Is this a blowout?
Ten point win? Is sweat?

Speaker 3 (22:58):
And where are we at winning winning margin? Where do
you see tonight?

Speaker 5 (23:03):
Yeah, if you made me bet the game, I'm laying
the points with oka See, But again, I want to
see what this looks like. Game one against Minnesota, okay
See was down four points I think it was that
at halftime and made a little run just to get
it to that. So I do want to see what

(23:23):
it looks like. I am a little scared off by
the big dogs in game one history kind of showing.

Speaker 1 (23:28):
Up and doing pretty well.

Speaker 5 (23:30):
But again, those were like Lakers teams that hadn't lost
all postseason, and it was Kobe and Shack and they
were just hearing how they were gonna win it all.
Like this is a young oka See team that feels
a bit different to me. And the other one was,
you know, a Durant Curry team going up against the
underdog was Lebron like, so I feel like that doesn't

(23:51):
count either. They're all different cases. So I think okay
See shows up in a big way. But again I'm
gonna be a little more cautious and just play different
ways that. Okay, see, winning the game outright benefits me,
and then we'll go from there.

Speaker 2 (24:06):
All right, again, we'll talk all things next week. Next
week will be after Game three, so we'll have an
opportunity to either talk about the sweep or whether or
not the Pacers will finally win a game. Maybe they
would possibly win Game three on Wednesday night. We'll see
how that one plays out over the next few days.
Julian staying in the world of the NBA, TIBs out
as the New York Knicks coach.

Speaker 3 (24:27):
Good move, bad move? How do you play that?

Speaker 5 (24:30):
Yeah, somewhat surprising. I don't know. I just don't know
exactly how they're gonna do better.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
He got there, he won a Coach of the Year.

Speaker 5 (24:36):
He built them up year by year, they got better
year by year, and they finally got their you know,
monster upset over the Celtics, which you know, I give
them close to full credit for that. They were probably
about to go up three to one with Tatum on
the floor, Brown playing good enough with the mcl and

(24:59):
Porzingis again, the Celtics a show they can win without Porzingis.
So I don't care about his illness. So I give them,
you know, like ninety percent credit for beating the Celtics.
Other people will write it off with the Tatum injury
and other things like No, that's pretty close to a
full strength win over the Celtics. So yeah, And in
that regard, I'm pretty surprised. If you told me that

(25:22):
they had a big name lined up, then I would
be like, Okay, you know they're they're just trying to
pass it on to even a bigger name coach. But
I don't see that the betting favorite is Johnny Bryant. Like,
with all due respect to Johnny Bryant, I don't know
if that's the type of name that you're looking for
with this hire when you have a coach that's taking

(25:43):
you up and up each year. So I was a
little surprised by it. We heard the chirping about it.
I was a little surprised it did actually happen. And
I just don't know what you're gonna get out there
that's better right now?

Speaker 3 (25:56):
Yeah, That's where I'm at.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
And then it was quickly quickly easy to u that
they did not have anybody lined up, And like you said,
Johnny Bryant is the leader in the clubhouse. I couldn't
pick out Johnny Bryant out of a lineup of two just.

Speaker 5 (26:11):
Yeah, so yeah, and what yeah, that's I don't think
that's the next Nick's head coach, Like that's a big job.

Speaker 2 (26:18):
And the other guy that just got hired by the
Suns or not and he was a Cavs coach assistant too. Wow,
I have a great year like the Cavs have. People
try to poach your staff. Oh yeah, regular season good luck. Yeah,
that's worked out before. Still in the Cleveland Cavaliers coaches.

Speaker 1 (26:34):
Cool.

Speaker 3 (26:34):
All right over to the NFL.

Speaker 2 (26:36):
Joined anything in play for in pocket for you as
far as preseason win totals, anything for you as far
as NFL.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Yet, I've done a little bit.

Speaker 5 (26:48):
Uh. I did take some Patriots over seven and a
half when they were seven and a half. I'm buying
in on my local team over here to not terrible.
I think we're eight and a half on DK sportsbooks
now though, which I don't know if I'm touching it there,
but seven and a half feels good.

Speaker 3 (27:09):
The line move after came back to camp, No, no,
it was it.

Speaker 5 (27:15):
Was before before that incident for the boat. But good
for Diggs getting into getting into foxbor I did do
some Lions under ten and a half. You lose your
offensive coordinator, you lose your defensive coordinator. You got Dan Campbell,
the raw Rock guy, who had two of the best

(27:36):
coordinators in the game, and now I'm not sure the
raw Rock guy can get it done without the coordinators
that he needs in place. So under ten and a
half on the Lions, and then you get the news
recently Frank Ragnow, the All Pro center, retiring at age
twenty nine. That's a monster piece of the offensive line
that now you have to figure out as well. I

(27:57):
think there's a lot of moving pieces in Detroit. They
still have a lot of good talent at quarterback and
the skill positions, but I am not convinced that's gonna
translate into as many wins this season.

Speaker 3 (28:08):
Football season.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
Right around the corner breaking news before Julian joined US,
Aaron Rodgers head into Pittsburgh to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Look,
at the end of the day, I'm happy because I
don't think he's as bad as a quarterback as people
want to make him out to be.

Speaker 3 (28:22):
Not gonna sit here and tell you that he's gonna
do anything great for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Speaker 2 (28:26):
But I sure as hell did not want to watch
a Steelers game with either one of those three whack
a moles that they have currently on the depth truck
to play quarterback for them. Will Howard, I maybe because
he's new, but Mason Rooks, we've seen that story. And
Skylar Thompson come on, man, So Rodgers at least makes
it somewhat interesting.

Speaker 3 (28:42):
But I'm not even gonna waste time on that one.

Speaker 2 (28:45):
Is there anything that that would make you play anything
Steelers related under over because Rogers is there now.

Speaker 1 (28:51):
Yeah, eight and a half wins.

Speaker 5 (28:53):
He hasn't shown us much over the last couple of
years when he has been on the field. I trust
Pittsburgh a little more than I trust the Jets, just
in terms of being stable. You know, you know Tomlin
and the season's over five hundred in a row, like
he's gonna put.

Speaker 1 (29:10):
A good team out there.

Speaker 5 (29:12):
From a betting standpoint, this this was anticipated in the market.
Like Rogers signs, the Super Bowl odds haven't moved, the
Division ods haven't moved. Pittsburgh still laying three week one,
which at the Jets maybe they kind of knew something
there were expecting this, just like the betting market that
hasn't budged. I think the Jets stink.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
I don't mind.

Speaker 5 (29:36):
I don't mind Pittsburgh like minus one forty five money
line Week one at the Jets. Rogers will be a
little bitter there after how things ended. But yeah, overall,
I'm not I'm not chasing anything on Pittsburgh in the
futures market, and I don't know you're laying juice on
under eight and a half. I don't know. If I
want to bet on Tomlin going under five hundred, they

(29:57):
should be right around there. So I'll just start with
the petty revenge angle and maybe play a little bit
of Pittsburgh League One.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
Love that Julian Edlow Draftings Sportsbooks joined us every Thursday,
catching us up with everything that's happening in the sports
wagering game. Of course, NBA Finals game won plenty of
ways to get involved. Check out with DK has to offer. Oh,
by the way, Julie, I think we are seventy nine
days away from week zero kickoff as far as the
college football season, so everything perfect.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
Yeah, man, let's get there already.

Speaker 2 (30:27):
Not to say that I want to fest forward on
summer because I gotta get it to the beach. But
college football nothing better. Julian, you're the best. Good luck
in those plays, man, and we'll see we're gonna have
some fun watching this series and join it scrwdo's Casuals.

Speaker 3 (30:39):
I can't wait for tonight. Like I said, go luck
in those plays. We'll catch up later.

Speaker 5 (30:42):
Man. All right, sounds good.

Speaker 1 (30:44):
Thanks guys.

Speaker 5 (30:45):
My man.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
There he is Julian Edlo on the Gambler Hotline. You
hear what he had to say.

Speaker 2 (30:50):
Yeah, as you're reading these names off I'm just like, dude,
this is not going to go well defensively, like what
I think Siakam could have a game.

Speaker 3 (30:59):
I think Haliburton could have a good game. I do,
but that's what I'm saying it.

Speaker 4 (31:03):
So they just have so many guys that are gonna
disrupt Caliburn, and how Halliburton's disrupted, the entire offense is
disrupt cut.

Speaker 3 (31:09):
It's just like this is a historically great defense.

Speaker 4 (31:11):
A lot of maybe some casuals haven't really watched most
of the year because the thunder weren't on national TV
a lot. I mean, this is the first time I
think since just and seven I believe that neither team
played on in the finals played on Christmas, So maybe
a lot of people haven't watched these two teams. That's
a nug yeah, And a lot of people probably haven't
watched these two teams, maybe just tuning in for the finals.
Now you're about to see how great this thunder defense is.

Speaker 2 (31:34):
All right, we're gonna take quick time out for those
that have decided to tune in and maybe tuned out already.

Speaker 3 (31:42):
The Phillies and Blue Jays.

Speaker 4 (31:45):
Disaster Turner, man, I think disaster is the is the word.
That's a mental thing.

Speaker 5 (31:51):
Now.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
This team is getting the doors blown off of here
in Game three to win this series against the Blue Jays.
Nobody cares in fifth whatever, but that was ugly. I
think the score right now is what seven nothing? Eight nothing?

Speaker 3 (32:07):
Lozardo got smashed. I mean he came with a basis
lotus and that was out.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
So I think that's back to back bad starts by
Lozardo if I'm not mistaken. So that's got somewhat concerning
right now. And then it's eight nothing right now. With
bottom of the third, Turner had an opportunity to make
a play on a pop up that Max Kepler should
have called him off but did not, and Turner, like
Willie Mays Hayes, caught it in the bread basket but

(32:32):
did not catch it, dropped it. Three runs scored there.
It's just a disaster of a game. Ate nothing right now,
Blue Jays. So if you back the Blue Jays in
game three, you're off to a great start. Not catching
any tickets just yet, but hopefully you didn't bet the Phillies.

Speaker 3 (32:46):
That's that's a mental thing with Tray Turner at this point.
The errors are becoming ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (32:50):
I think we might have to give another standing ovation,
and there's been conversations about him moving to center.

Speaker 3 (32:54):
Field because of how bad these errors have got. Just
drop that pop up so I don't know if thought
that was the way he came in.

Speaker 4 (33:02):
Obviously it was weird, but it's becoming a mental thing
now with these errors are a serious problem.

Speaker 2 (33:07):
Lizardo, they just popped the stat up first eleven starts.
I want to say, is that the number I apologize?
I think sixteen earned runs last two starts twenty Yeah
it's good, it's not good.

Speaker 3 (33:18):
Yeah, two starts, that's not great. This will be a
series loss.

Speaker 2 (33:22):
Natalie I know I'm gonna join us coming up here
at four thirty. I hearts own she's gonna be doing
some stuff with the Gambler moving forward. She's got a
great sports background.

Speaker 3 (33:30):
Of course. You know the funny part, Sam is I
don't know.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
I met Natalie for the first time last football season,
and I've heard about her. I've seen her on my
television screen for years now. Of course at both radio stations.
I'd be in the fanati for years, and like, I
don't know much about Natalie. So with that being out
of side, you know where I'm going, We're going to

(33:57):
have some fun with Natalie for thirty all right. I
got some question that we're gonna find out some background,
and you know what, there's some things that we learned
about Sam from time to time. Like I had no
idea he was a coach. I had no idea that
this guy likes to party. He was in Miami one weekend,
then he flew to Toronto the following. This guy can't
out me, Bree.

Speaker 3 (34:15):
Don't out me. I like to keep my personal life personal.

Speaker 5 (34:19):
So we will.

Speaker 3 (34:20):
Well, I'm gonna mix some of those questions for you
as well.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
Toss a your away because I got some Philadelphia old school,
you know, revisit the Times questions so we could learn
a little bit about Natalie and Sam coming up. At
four thirty five o'clock back to the NBA Finals was
with Shan Bernard. Him and I have recorded a little
earlier today picks and rolled to get his take, and
we even talked a little sixers.

Speaker 3 (34:42):
Which I did not know about. This story.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
It's a story apparently that there were some leaks happening
and they decided to get rid of everybody over there.
Did you hear about this story?

Speaker 3 (34:52):
All right, I'm talking about.

Speaker 2 (34:53):
I gotta go dig it up. Apparently Keith Pompey had it.
I apologize. I don't subscribe to the Inquiry anymore. My
reason my personal reasons. But Keith Pumpey have that. That
means the leaks are still there. I don't know what
story you're talking about. I'll dig it up. I'll have
that for you on the other side. More deally, dig
it up.

Speaker 5 (35:10):
