all what drives one deep right field?

Speaker 2 (00:28):
It's hooking toward the corner. Will it stay fair? It
hits the.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
Foul hole, hits a home run. James one bangs it
off the ful hole for a three run shot. The
Nationals blowing wide open as they.

Speaker 2 (00:41):
Lead at nine to three.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
All right, you're wondering, why the hell I'm playing a
James Wood home run now. He's in a bunch of
them this year, of course, plays for the Washington Nationals.
Big time win by the Nats last night in San Diego.
That was a loss for us. We did have a
Kenya going yard. He's still celebrating. Come on, just just
run the bases. What are we doing here? Kyle Fisher

(01:04):
joining me, Yeah, James would. I did not know that
this would be a topic of discussion today. However, before
I left the house a little earlier today, Apparently you
know it is in the sports gambling world that we
live in. Shout out to my guy killed Kenny. I
know Kenny had a huge following the MOONI gang and
still is doing it. The discord. Kenny was one of

(01:27):
the first I believe. Chili Betts is his name, and
he's been around for a long time. I tend not
to follow these people, and the reason why is because
they're always putting out these tickets and it's just like,
damn dude, like I want that, I need to gamble more.
I gotta be you know, it just doesn't work for me.

(01:48):
All right, I'm not cashing those type of tickets. So
I stopped following a lot of those people. All love
and respect, just don't need that on my timeline. Well me.
Apparently everybody follows Chili Bets and they did have James
Wood going yard, so he does. He goes absolutely yard
last night late too, a top of the eighth inning.

(02:08):
There it is. Yeah, it was off the fil pole
and apparently a X ton of people cash did again.
You tell me if it's true or not. You believe
what you want to believe. But FanDuel apparently has changed
the rules as early as this morning and now they
can not They will now allow to not pay gamblers

(02:32):
who hit big money after tailing heavily followed Parlays Section

over my computer screen. You gotta love that. We suspect
that your account's usage could represent business usage. Business usage

(02:55):

eight point one three FanDuel Sportsbook reserves the right to
avoid any or all bets made by any group of
people acting in conjunction with each other, or any individual

Speaker 4 (03:15):
Dude, that ain't right, man, That ain't anything hits. They
can basically just ye sorry, if anything big hits. They
reserve the right because they can come up with some
connection that they'll never reveal to the world, saying, oh, well,
we think you got it from one whatever, one eight
hundred number you called that runs on Saturday morning before

(03:35):
your local sports talk show.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
That's ridiculous.

Speaker 3 (03:38):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
They always find a way to win.

Speaker 4 (03:41):
I mean, it's you know whatever, it's not Vegas, it's
not local to Vegas anymore, but the house always wins.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
Man, This is why I don't get involved in the
first place.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
That's a tough pill to swallow. And again, I'm live now,
so let me just follow up by saying, I'm not
one hundred percent, but I'm pretty damn close to it.
With this being real, it's all over the place. Everybody
cashed and everybody had it last night. He is a
big time a provider of those type of plays, the parlays,
and again it was a late night game against the Padres,

(04:09):
so I'm sure a lot of people were connecting the
dots on that. Just that ain't right, man, it ain't right.
And it's just more to exactly what you just said
that it's tough setting when you really want to cash in.
I know people that are just some limited to ten
dollars plays and it's like, man, if you want to
you know, the Super Bowl, I was limited and I'm
the nobody like I was the Eagles. I was trying

(04:30):
to put a thousand dollars on the Eagles and you know,
I couldn't even get that play in. It's just it's
just absurd. It's an Eagles plate, it's a local play.
Of course, we're gonna put a couple dollars there on it.
But regardless, that's ridiculous. Yeah, more of the same, more
of the same. Anyways, let's get it on over to Philadelphia.

Speaker 1 (04:45):
Khyle.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
How are we doing today, Sarah? Great to have you
on today's show, of course, coming off of taking two
or three against the New York Mets at Citizens Bank
Park over the weekend. Fantastic job by the fighting's there
now on top of the division. Mets are leak in oil.
Braves went up to City Field and beat them pretty
good yesterday. It was actually a tight game, but still

(05:06):
coming away with that victory. I did not think that
the Braids are going to win that game, even though
they were favorites in that one. But with all that
being said, we got ourselves a great game tonight in Houston.
Before we talk about that. Your big takeaway from the
weekend series versus the Mets was what.

Speaker 4 (05:20):
The return of Jesus Lozardo. The concern you know from
a lot of folks so that he was he's passed
his innings limit from last season, excuse me the past
the number of innings he threw last season.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
He started to struggle a little bit.

Speaker 4 (05:34):
I think he had one good game mixed in out
of like two or three rough ones, and the question
was is he starting to lose steam already coming off
of an injury plague season. Not that he was cooked
for good, but maybe I need to take the take
a step back for him when it comes to innings
or you know, Phanomil situation, whatever you want to do.
Some concerns raised about the starting rotation as a result. However,

(05:55):
he goes out there and shoves on Sunday clutch moment.
Huge crowd, probably the most exciting crowd supporting both teams
that he's.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
Experienced in his career.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
So to see him go out there poised and just dominate,
especially the top of the Mets lineup, which is really strong.
To go out there and dominate, it was really good
to see. So that's my biggest takeaway. Second would be
the offense. They're falling in love with themselves again, fall
in love with the team, not all getting it done
by the long ball, a lot of past the baton
mentality that Toppers kind of preached over the years, you know,

(06:28):
next guy up mentality, that's always been a thing for him.
So to see them have a few innings where it
was hit, hit, walk, hit, hit, finally delivering the dagger
in some of those situations. And the dagger wasn't a
two run shot or a three run shot and nothing
else happens.

Speaker 2 (06:43):
It was let's get the bases loaded, okay, basis.

Speaker 4 (06:46):
Clearing double from Bryson Stott, get the bases loaded again,
huge hit from somebody else, Otto Kemp showing what he
can do in big situations in big games. So everybody's
starting to contribute all at once. With a guy like
Bryce Harper app that's what you want to see. So
I put Lozardo's resurgence at number one. Still need to
see what he does in the next few and then
the offense kind of playing past the baton will be

(07:07):
the second take.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
We castidy big time weekend. Of course, as you pointed
out with Stott with that huge double off the wall
that cleared the base, as we had that Major League
Vibe scene where it was too it was a JT
and casty. I think we were slided buck and neck.
Pretty cool stuff there.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
That was awesome.

Speaker 3 (07:24):
Again, just a big time series with a lot of
juice in the ballpark and to deliver and take first
place and rewarding the fans that were down there. It
wasn't exactly one hundred degree heat like it is today,
but still a lot of fun and keep it going.
That's all there is to it. As this team rolls
on down to Houston and now they got themselves a
pretty big game against the Houston Astros. I get it's

(07:44):
team from the West American League, you know, but like
these are the type of games that you you want
to check, you know, the temperature, right, you want to
see if this, if the stake that's on the grill
is done, you can pull it off at one sixty
Sorry I almost said one sixty five. That's chicken. Chicken
be won sixty five. I'll go one forty five for

(08:05):
the stake, you know, that's what it is. And against
a pitcher like Valdez, who has been lights out in
these past eight starts eight point or eight four record
on the season three point zero nine ere. He has
unbeaten over his last eight starts, going seven to zero
with a two point one to three r ERA, sixty
two strikeouts and fifty five innings. So yeah, this is

(08:28):
a game that you know what you want to see,
what you look like against a team that could potentially
be in a World Series. Correct, for sure.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
From my perspective, this is a game that's gonna have
a lot of eyeballs. Scouts around the league are going
to be looking at this game not for this upcoming
trade deadline, and I know we'll get there later, but
Valdez and Suarez two crafty left handers. They're both free
agents at the end of this season. They're both having
incredible seasons. People are going to be watching this game
very closely. Like you said, the Astros were kind of

(08:56):
middling the first two months of the season, Well, how's
a fourteen and six so far in June. Right back
at the top of the division. They are hot as
a team, riding the back of Framber so despite the
fact that they have a lot of rookies in that
rotation right now, Framber eight one of them, and he's
a guy who's been able to handle the Phillies just fine.
In his regular season starts. He's gone twelve innings thirteen

(09:17):
k's a two point twenty five VRA against the Phillies,
and he beat them twice in the World Series six
or more innings twice. He's held the entire Phillies lineup
to a two to zho three batting average combined, obviously
not including Harper because he won't be here, but he
has handled the Phillies every single time he's seen them,
and and he's hot right now. So despite how good

(09:38):
Rangers been one point one to seventy r in his
last dight himself, it's it's gonna be a tough challenge
for these two and it's going to be which offense
stays hotter against these tough lefties.

Speaker 2 (09:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
Well, minus one fifty seven for the Astros Valdez of
course at home, plus one twenty nine for the Phillies,
Which is more surprising for your money, the fact that
the total is listed at seven and a half only
eight runs will cash that for you between these two offices,
these two teams and what they've been producing as of late.
Or the fact that the Phillies are plus one twenty
nine underdogs, which one's more surprising to you, Kyle.

Speaker 4 (10:08):
Fisher, Ooh, I want to say that the Phillies are
the underdogs, but really it's it's the man because the runs.
I mean, you have two stellar pitchers on the mound.

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Of course, eight.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
Runs could get it done easily pretty much on the spot. Yeah, Man,
those are two really really good bets. If you're making
me pick when i'd say the Phillies as a well,
did you say one twenty nine.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
Nine?

Speaker 4 (10:30):
Yeah, I'd probably say that's more surprising. But they're both
really really good lines.

Speaker 3 (10:34):
Yeah, that's why they do it. They do pretty good
at what they did, right, Yes, sir? All right, So
as far as that is concerned, we don't have a
lineup out just yet, but we could assume that we're
going to see the big dog in there, like Kyle Schwarber.
I'm gonna say, Kyle Fischer, it'd have been funny if
you were going down there to play. You know, we're
gonna see it. We don't want to see that Nick cast.
We're gonna see Trey out there. Is there somebody that

(10:56):
you're taking from this weekend's performance and saying, you know what,
I think they're going to continue to stay hot and
if they have the mental makeup to compete against a
guy like Framber Valdez and have success tonight in Houston?
Is there anybody catching your attention? Bowm would be a
guy I know. It's the lefty righty matchup. Maybe potentially
that could get some eyeballs. There is there one player

(11:17):
from the Phillies perspective that you're looking at tonight a
little bit more well.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Bom. I think he's going to be in the lineup
no matter what.

Speaker 4 (11:23):
So I don't think that it would be a surprise
to see him go down there and do well. Not
only is he a good hitter against both hands, he
really does well against left handed hitting and left handed
pitching rather, and he's one of the best hitters as
far as overall.

Speaker 2 (11:36):
Right now on the Phillies.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
He's so hot to me, I gotta think that a
Mundo Sosa is going to take that swag from Sunday
and apply it tonight. He's more than likely going to
get the start over Bryson Stott at second base, just
facing a left handed such a tough left handed pitcher
in Valdez. Guy hits an opposite field homer, the furthest
opposite field homer he's ever.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
Hit in his career.

Speaker 4 (11:58):
On Sunday was the ninth opposite field homer of his career.
First time I've ever seen him pimpa home run. You
see that little jump he did after crushing that one.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
No smash.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
He has some swagger that he's playing right, playing with
right now, and it wouldn't surprise me to see him
do some damage against Valdez tonight. Maybe not another home run,
but you know, another two for three game, maybe something
like that. I could see him coming up and show
showing out.

Speaker 3 (12:20):
Well, we will mark the tape just in case he
does go yard, because right now, Kyle Fisher just gave
out Sosa home run plus eight fifty not kid, that's
a nice number there to sprinkle just a little bit.
Total bases at plus one eighty five for two, So
a good name to have in your mind. Maybe potentially
if you're trying for some of that FanDuel money out there.
You know, we're not going to cash the James Wood

(12:40):
ticket that everybody's a millionaire instantly overnight. But bottom line is,
we're trying to steer you in the right direction as
far as strikeouts are concerned. One quick look at as
far as what those numbers are right now, Franbur Valdez
at six and a half minus one zero, five Ranger
at four and a half minus one, forty rangers normally
at the six six and a half total h and

(13:01):
he's gone over a bunch. Let me pull up those
exact numbers, because I know I cashed in on him
last game out that he had six strikeouts. But anything
for you as far as high strikeout totals, is there
one side that generally you think might struggle a little
bit more than the other.

Speaker 4 (13:16):
I think Framber's more than likely. If you're picking between
the two one who's gonna go over? I'd go Framber.
Not that the Phillies have been striking out a ton
like they have in the past few seasons, but Rangers
a guy who has no problem getting it done with
ground balls and weak contact. So although he can give
you six to eight strikeouts a game, he's been hovering
in like the four to six range. I think that

(13:38):
you're the safer bet is probably gone Framber. If you're
gonna bet on strikeouts between one and the other.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
Interesting, Yeah, Rangers sware as strikeouts eight over last time
out six over previous game. That was the game against
the Blue Jays, or maybe it's the Marlinds. I forget
the five. He stayed under five and a half against
the Pirates, he finished with two, stayed under the five
and as five and a half against the brew Crew,
and then he went over over, over, over over. Uh.

(14:05):
He is normally going over that strikeout total when it's
set around the four and a half to five and
a half mark. So last time that he has had
the four and a half, as I said, against the
Toronto Blue Jays to go over that number. Again, we're
talking about a little bit different of an offense, but
still Toronto pretty good in their own right as far
as offensive firepower is concerned. And he finished with six

(14:27):
strikeouts there, so we'll see what happens. Bullpen will be
rested right ready to go, so maybe Ranger might not
stay in there. But again, this is the guy that
goes to the seventh inning. So for my money, I'm
gonna put a little bit on Ranger Swaz to go
over that number as far as strikeouts are concerned, Well,
if you look.

Speaker 4 (14:43):
At the track record, see I didn't have that in
front of you, So good research by you, Sean.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
I don't know if we can go. I don't know
if we can call that research. When I do it
on the fly, that's more of like, you know, pulling
something out of my ass.

Speaker 4 (14:56):
I don't know, man, Live research is way more pressure
than the coming in and being prepared and you got
it in no time.

Speaker 2 (15:02):
We didn't have silence, we didn't have dead Boy.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (15:06):
I'm going to give you the credit for coming up
with it all that.

Speaker 3 (15:08):
It means a lot coming from that side of the mic. Man,
I appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
Of course.

Speaker 4 (15:13):
But yeah, I think that that's a It's not a
bad bet if I'm picking what I'm going Framburg, just
because I think looking at the offense that the Astros
have right now, and you know, like you said it,
maybe over the last eight starts he's gone over majority
of the time, but if you look the last three,
he's gone under. So I'll take the under just to
if I was putting a bet down, I'd say the
under on Ranger still getting through six, maybe into the

(15:36):
seventh regardless.

Speaker 3 (15:37):
Yeah, you know, we opened up the show with Mark
Henry Jr. And I was talking to him about whether
or not he is surprised that the Astros are as
good as they are currently on top of the West
and kicking button, taking names, and then Mark opened my
eyes and maybe I should have been a little bit
more aware. But the American League is down, man, that's
a bad, bad league right now. You are you know,

(15:59):
you got the Yankees, no doubt about it. Nobody's denying that.
You got the Tigers, of course, and you got the
Stros and then the drop off happens and the two
biggest disappointments for my money this year. And I know,
maybe I probably should have the Braves up there. Is
it still too early to pour dirt on the Braves.
It just doesn't seem like it's happening a little bit. Yeah. Yeah,

(16:22):
But the two biggest disappointments right now for me the
Baltimo Orials and the Texas Rangers, both American League teams
that aren't delivering. So I'm not surprised that the Astros
are as good as they are right now. But should
we be looking at them as a World Series contender?
Could this potentially be a well, at least one team
from tonight's matchup be representing the league in the Fall Classic.

Speaker 4 (16:44):
Yeah, I mean, the Astros are approven commodity. They have
some guys from that era of going to World Series
and winning, winning a couple of titles.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
It's not the same Astros team, right.

Speaker 4 (16:55):
We know the Bregman's gone, we know that Correy is gone,
we know Springer's gone.

Speaker 2 (16:59):
Yeah, but Alvarez is incredible. Altuve is still there.

Speaker 4 (17:04):
Still, their pitching has held up, despite the fact that
they have quite a few injuries in that rotation. They're
only going to get healthier. They still have a top heavy,
albeit but a strong end of the bullpen. If they
can get some arms back and make some deals in
the margins at the deadline, maybe not go after a
splashy name, but I don't see why they wouldn't stay
at the top Seattle for whatever reason. To me, a

(17:27):
month ago, I felt like, man, it's finally their time.
They're going to take over Houston, and four weeks later,
I'm not feeling the same way. There's something about Seattle
that they cannot outside of cal Rawley, cannot seem to
get the offense going no matter who they bring in there.
So unless they trade for an impact bat, there's no
reason to think that Houston's gonna fall out of this division.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
Well, tell you what, I know that we would all
take a repeat of the twenty twenty two season right here,
right now, getting to a World Series. Now, nobody would
co sign or sign up for a six game series
with the loss, right, I don't you know, it's a
tough pill to swallow. It would be great. You know,
you make the World Series. It's a hell of a run,

(18:06):
playoff baseball, nothing better. It's a it's a dumb interesting question.
At the same time, would you sign up for that?
Right now? I can't say. I can't say yes. I
can't I can't say yes.

Speaker 4 (18:19):
Well, I mean, if I'm looking if you're saying, am
I signing up for a rematch and then we'll let
the cards fall where they may.

Speaker 2 (18:25):
Then yes, obviously I'm an answer.

Speaker 4 (18:27):
But if you're saying I know that they're gonna make it,
and I know they're gonna lose in six games, I mean,
how can you say.

Speaker 2 (18:33):
That you're excited about it?

Speaker 3 (18:34):
Well, that's a great run, man, that was an awesome
time in this city. That was the like that was
you know, that was everything. That was hard.

Speaker 4 (18:42):
If I don't know, even if like it's preordained that
they're losing six but I'm not aware of this. You know,
we're talking about this very random hypothetical situation. Yeah, as
long as it doesn't play out the exact same way
where you get no hit and you go up and
you end up losing a couple in a row, I'm
fine with that, Like, if you're getting hope, even.

Speaker 2 (19:01):
If you whatever, if you lose four out of six,
but you're.

Speaker 4 (19:04):
Competitive the whole time and there's not this this killer
feeling after that one going back down to Houston and
then they take care of you even if you end
up losing in six. To me, that's a reminder, you know.
The big concern is that they've gone one level back,
one round.

Speaker 2 (19:18):
Of the playoffs shorter each season.

Speaker 4 (19:19):
If they go back to the World Series, that's proving
to everybody in the fan base.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
Look, we're serious. These last couple of years were flukes.

Speaker 4 (19:26):
Look we're right back in the dance and we're serious
next season too. So I can't say that. I wouldn't
take that as long as you're not telling me in
advance that they lose, Like if they link the script,
I'll take it. Don't don't even get my emotions up right,
you can have it.

Speaker 3 (19:41):
But I forgot. I can say, no, I forgot. They
got no hit in that world.

Speaker 2 (19:44):
Seriously, Yeah, it wasn't fun.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
Well, that's a great sports trivia question for for Houston people, right,
Like if I did Houston quizzo or you know something
around astros trivia like name the four pitchers that through
a combined hit her in Game four of the twenty
twenty two World Series. Do you remember who started that
game for the Astros?

Speaker 2 (20:07):
I don't. I feel like I should, but I've tried
to push it out of my mind.

Speaker 3 (20:11):
Yeah, Javier got to start and he handed it to
Brian Abray, you, Rafiel Montero, and Ryan Presley.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
I knew Presley closed it out. That's all I knew, though,
So how about Yeah, that's a that's disappoint It was
disappointing in the moment, for sure, and it did. I
held out hope that it wouldn't suck the life out
of them, but it seemed to.

Speaker 2 (20:29):
And how could you blame them?

Speaker 4 (20:31):
I mean, you go out there and get no hit
on the biggest stage after I think they had such
an electric game the game before too, with a few
home runs yep, in front of the home crowd, and
then to come out in front of your home crowd
and get no hit the next night is like, oh man.

Speaker 3 (20:42):
They were a tough team. Astros were good, you know.
It was it was uphill climb. We know that we
felt like we were playing with house money there a
little bit, but oh no, that was a pretty good
match up, went six games and Phillies ended up coming
up just short. But hopefully this year will be a
little bit different. Just to let everybody know right now,
currently as we sit undraft Kings Yankees to represent the

(21:03):
AL plus two sixty five, fallow by the Tigers a
plus two ninety five. Then you got the Ashers a
plus four to fifty, then the Mariners, although we have
to plus nine to fifty. Then they go Rays, Blue Jays, Guardians,
Red Sox moving over to the National League. And I
did make the case that there was a huge drop off,
but it's almost the same. It's very similar Dodgers and Phillies.
You got Dodgers a plus one fifty, Phillies a plus

(21:25):
four to twenty five. Then the Mets at five to one,
then the Cubbies at eight to one, Giants, Brewers, Padres, Diamondbacks.
Really intriguing because when you look at that, it does
give you somewhat similar vibes like I don't necessarily believe
right here on June to twenty fourth, regardless that they've
been on a nine game losing stick, whatever it is

(21:45):
right now for the Mets, I don't necessarily have believed
that they are a World Series caliber baseball team, and
they're at five to one, So I wouldn't really give
the edge to the National League when you look at
it like that. For me, as I sit here right
now now, Yankees, Tigers, and Astros can absolutely get to
the World Series, I don't think the Mets can. I

(22:06):
think that that pitching staff has just been pitching way
above expectations and eventually that's going to catch up. I know,
not necessarily it works out like that every time they
have great bats. They got some good leadership in Lindor,
no doubt about a great fan base. I give them credit,
got a lot to prove or work off of what
took place last year. But I'm against the Mets and
taking them and representing the National League in the World Series.

(22:28):
Obviously Dodgered above all but the Phillies at plus four
twenty five, and then I'd say it's pretty much a
big drop off. So at least in the American League.
Long winded Kyle, I would think that there's three teams
that I could put in the World Series. In the
National League, I'm probably looking at two.

Speaker 4 (22:42):
Yeah, there was something that I saw earlier on MLB
Network I think was MLB Now. You talked about how
good the Mets offense is, and I feel the same
way on paper. When you look at the names at
the top of that lineup, Lindor Soto, who's at NEMO
and or either NEMO right now, mc neil's been okay,
and then Alonso bat and forth.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
They have an eight point fifty seven ops.

Speaker 4 (23:04):
Out of the top four hitters in their lineup, a
six forty six from the rest of the lineup. The
two to eleven point difference is the largest drop off
in Major League Baseball. So their top four is a
hellscape to get through and then it's easy breezing from there.
It's obviously it's not gonna work that way every single game,
but you're right, they're lacking in something on that offensive

(23:27):
end that they're going to have to address at the deadline,
and they also need to get healthy. You said their
starting staff is pitching way above expectations. In my opinion,
there's a few guys I cannot believe have been pitching.
Is what Griffin Canning. I couldn't believe how good that
guy has pitched. Outside Like the last two stars coming
into this weekend, and nobody expected that from him. Nobody
expected Clay Holmes to turn into what he has a

(23:49):
year removed from being a faltering closer in the other
New York team. It's very surprising to me how well
they've done right now is probably where you're going to
see those numbers start to increase, because they are beat
up and they're gonna have to plug in play some
pieces until their stars in Senga and a few others
finally get healthy. So yeah, I agree with you the

(24:10):
way that they're playing right now. And I'm not just
looking at the one and nine because when the Phillies
were one and nine, I still felt comfortable saying that
they would be in the mix. Yep, and the Mets.
Those top four can do a lot for you. But
my assumption is that they're pitching unless they do something
to address it and add a piece is going to
look very different in two months, and I would not

(24:31):
put them in the mix guaranteed. Right now, I think
that they're a piece or two away, But then again,
who isn't.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
Yeah right, everybody's ready to be a piece of two
away in a couple of weeks.

Speaker 3 (24:41):
Da im right, And we're gonna talk a little bit
about some potential trade prospects names that are out there,
according to Jeff Pass and a couple of people out
there as far as Major League Baseball insiders are now
floating that list. Of course, we know that the trade
deadline is July to thirty first, so a little bit
after the All Star break, but no better time than
right now to start discussing and potential trade targets. No

(25:02):
matter the squad out there, I would say this much
for Mets fans or anybody out there. First of all,
I do want to say that this is the number
one play, so most of the time, when everybody's on
one side, it doesn't hit. We know how that works.
But if you're looking at Frankie Montes, who's making his
debut for the Mets tonight against the Braves, yeah, to
be one of those guys to take a grasp of

(25:25):
a spot in a rotation and start to be the
difference for them, I wouldn't suggest that you do that
because in his minor league starts, eighteen point two innings pitched,
twenty five earned runs, thirty hits, eight home runs, ten walks,
twelve strikeouts, So that leads us to the number one

(25:46):
play tonight on the board. For a lot of people
out there that are looking at the over end that game,
it's Total coming in at nine. Of course, you can
go team total for the Braves as well. You know,
he's probably gonna be in a short lease, so I'd
be very very careful to wager on that. Nonetheless, yes,
Spencer Strider getting to start for the Braves. That should
be a victory for the Braves, as they did win
last night and now are four and zero against the

(26:08):
Mets this year, so they do have their number. All right,
good stuff.

Speaker 4 (26:13):
I thought that was a when I saw his numbers
in his rehab assignment, I was stunned too, So good
good pull from you.

Speaker 2 (26:20):
That's a That's what I would stay away from.

Speaker 4 (26:22):
Or maybe maybe you watch something else if you're a
Mets fan tonight, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (26:25):
Watch the Phillies and the Astros philis a outscar their
opponents sixty four to thirty five while winning nine of
their past eleven. The Astros have Major Leagues Baseball's best
record in June fourteen and six in the month. So
of course, all eyes on that game coming up this evening,
all right. Kyle Fischer joining us here having some fun.

(26:45):
We're gonna mix in some other stuff. It's hot outside, Kyle,
I don't know if you've been out there. If you haven't,
you're a smart man stayed inside. But we have five
burning questions. We'll get into a little bit of that
with you as well. Trade targets th Jeff Passon came
out with his targets for the Phillies. I saw this
on Luke Arcaney's timeline, got a ton of reaction. Everybody

(27:05):
has something to say about these potential names. Again, I
don't think that we're going to look at the trade
deadline and landing. Let's just say Devers right that the
San Francisco Giants got, or cal Rawley all of a
sudden becomes available. I don't think it's gonna be any
name that a lot of people are gonna be all
too familiar with, But I still think that they're gonna
be active. We'll find out what Kyle has to say

(27:25):
about all of that. Again. You can find Kyle on
socials at Kyle Fisher forty five and be sure to
check out everything he contributes over at the Philly Sports Network.
Keeping it going here in the Daily Ticket, Do not
go anywhere more.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
After this, you're listening to The Daily Ticket, which Sean
Brakes on Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
The Gambling. Yes, the action starts.

Speaker 3 (27:49):
Here, esd Kyle Fisher hanging out our number two here
in the Daily Ticket, it's Kyle do I got you
pass five? You got a heart out at five o'clock.

Speaker 2 (28:00):
We can go a little past five.

Speaker 3 (28:01):
You were good, good good. We Uh, I was a
little late. I apologize. Mark Henry Junior decides to give
me his top ten movies of twenty twenty last twenty
five years. Then, like he was so passionate about I
could not stop him, like, sir, go right ahead, and
next thing you know, I'm looking at the clock going,
oh damn. That's the full segment right there. Kept it going.
My fault. But I do want to entertain you with

(28:23):
some of those questions to get your take. And again,
the big reason why I decided to come up with
us is because it's nasty out there. So I said
five burning questions, dumb questions radio style. You know how
it works. And oh, by the way, going off of
yesterday's show where Luke now has a guilty pleasure of this.

Speaker 2 (28:41):
What is it?

Speaker 3 (28:42):
Love is Love Island? Not Pleasure Island. Christ I said,
I said behind the lines when it was outside the lines.
I'm just I'm losing my brain today. Yeah, he actly.
Love Island is the show that Luke had a guilty

(29:05):
pleasure for. And then I saw with the Iron Pigs
took a six hour bus ride to their next stop
and Garrett Stubbs tweets a picture out to their next game.
Six hour bus ride triple a. Damn, the bus doesn't
have a c The boys are running around shirtless in

(29:30):
the bus. Yo, they're triple A. Is that how it works?

Speaker 2 (29:36):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (29:38):
Oh, it's like playing Juco but grown up?

Speaker 3 (29:44):
He said, Yeah, he said, what the saying is here
is you don't like it? Play better? Obviously it's the show.
But my goodness, Yeah, that's that's some eye opening stuff there.
Six hour bus ride buses that they're terrible. That's a brutal,
brutal way to get to where you need to go. Anyways,
we'll keep it moving so we'll have some fun with
Kyle on that one. I do want to hit you

(30:06):
with some quick ones here. First of all football related
tight End University. They're brought ESPN's broadcasting live from tight
End University. Are you familiar with Titan teu as they
call themselves. No, it's all the it's all the tight ends.
George Kittle was the one, I believe, if I'm not mistaken,
he's the one that created a few years ago. And

(30:29):
Greg Olsen as well had a big piece of it
as well, and it was like a one off I
think they did in San Francisco and they got a
bunch of guys, they got Travis Kelsey gets involved, and
now it's a huge deal. So what it's growing into
that's pretty damn cool. I get it's the NFL controls all,
but they literally have ESPN out there broadcast and they
got every tight end possibly in the country out there.

(30:52):
Pretty cool stuff that they're doing. No, no, no, it's pros.
It's the Titans in the NFL all getting together because
you know they don't get.

Speaker 2 (31:02):
It a little mini training camp themselves.

Speaker 3 (31:04):
Correct. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (31:05):
I like that.

Speaker 3 (31:06):
I love it, and I love this.

Speaker 2 (31:08):
Is Taylor there getting real real eyes on it.

Speaker 3 (31:12):
We'll see. You know, you got all the great ones there,
that's for sure. So I don't know, actually if Kelsey
is there, I believe he was, but I could be
wrong on that. Anyways, he is there. He is there
because I'm looking at a picture. So I apologize on
that one. Some other odds and real quick, if we
could now Kyle knows a thing or two about a
thing or two when it comes to the sports complex,

(31:34):
serve beer, continues to serve beer and work down there.
And I saw an article today where they were talking
about beer prices around the country, and I texted you,
I said, could you tell me where the seven dollars
beer is located at Citizens Bank Park? Because for every
time I go, it's nine plus Buddy, Apparently there's a
seven dollars beer out there at CBP, And I don't

(31:55):
know about what is it Pats blue ribbon on draft
that you get like a little Dixie cup of it?
Is that the seven dollars beer out there?

Speaker 4 (32:02):
No, so there is, and I forget if it's every
game or specific games, but out on like the the
Miller Light flight it's not the flight deck, but that's
that's the link. But they have like a big bar
area at the one end where the chickis and pizza
is on Ashburn Alley.

Speaker 3 (32:18):
Yep.

Speaker 4 (32:18):
So they open the left field or the center field
and right field gates early and allow fans to go
just on the alley, and typically they'll do diskound of
Miller Lights.

Speaker 2 (32:27):
At that point, I forget the price.

Speaker 4 (32:29):
But if there's any beer that's in there for seven bucks,
it's like three hours before the game on Ashburn ally
exclusively Miller Light, so I don't Yeah, there's no seven
dollars beer.

Speaker 2 (32:39):
In that building.

Speaker 4 (32:40):
The cheapest beer I remember when I started there in
twenty ten, Tell me was seven to twenty five for
a for a Cord Light.

Speaker 3 (32:47):
That's what it should be now, I agree.

Speaker 4 (32:50):
I mean, I who's Atlanta When they open their new stadium,
if you remember, the owners set a cap on pricing,
so he was like, we'll start here. If we need
to increase revenue to make renovations or whatever, we're gonna
up it a little bit. But there's a in the
contract cap on how high the price could ever go.
And that cap was reasonable, which means that the starting

(33:12):
price when they first opened was even more reasonable. Every
stadium should be doing that. It becomes impossible to take
your family to a game with some of these buildings.

Speaker 2 (33:21):
It's especially for baseball.

Speaker 4 (33:23):
If you can't have a decent, reasonable price at a
baseball game, which is known for a family environment. It's
it's ridiculous some how expensive.

Speaker 2 (33:33):
Some of these things are.

Speaker 3 (33:34):
Roaring round of applause to your Kyle Well said now
and again, we're not trying to get you in trouble
by no means. But bottom line is it's just so
eye opening. The next day you go home and you're like,
wait a minute, really, oh my goodness. And it happened
to me on Friday. I went with my father in
law to brothers in law. Everybody bought around, everybody brought

(33:54):
bought multiple rounds. Nobody complain. Is the next day you're like,
wait a minute, I spent that, and then on top
of that, and then on top of that. Oh, by
the way, we were at Exfinity Live for three hours
before the damn game started. Oh my good next thing,
you know, it's like all the money I want on
DraftKings I already spent for crying out loud. Anyways, I
bring it.

Speaker 2 (34:14):
In go through exactly.

Speaker 3 (34:17):
I bring this up because I get this emails, these
dumb emails, and this one's from Pennsylvania based off of
Pittsburgh pirates and Philadelphia fans having to deal with some
of the more expensive beer prices as far as baseball
is concerned, and they make the case look Pittsburgh is
even a little bit more pricey than Philly, which is funny. Again,
not funny, but you understand what I'm saying there, And
they put out the set. They say that nine dollars

(34:41):
sixteen cents is the app is the seventh most expensive
beer for the Pittsburgh Pirates and if they attend, if
a fan attends every home game and buys one cold one,
it will set them back seven hundred and forty one
dollars at the end of the year. It's true. Think
about that one beer.

Speaker 2 (34:55):
That's insane.

Speaker 3 (34:55):
Yeah, it's crazy.

Speaker 4 (34:56):
Also the Pirates, Yeah, the Pirates. You should be doing
like two for one beer days or three dollars beers
to get people in that friggin stadium it's in. That
is a gorgeous stadium. You've had great players come through
through over the years. When you are competitive, that place
is rocking, and you're charging ten plus dollars for a beer,

(35:16):
probably six fifty for a water.

Speaker 2 (35:18):
Get out of here.

Speaker 3 (35:19):
They yees six fifty for a water. For cried out loud,
they say the most expensive beer Washington Nationals. There's no
way this I've heard of that fifty.

Speaker 4 (35:33):
Yeah, I haven't worked down there, but a lot of
the a lot of vendors don't work at several stadiums
and just make that their full time job. So there's
a lot of guys who work in Baltimore and Washington
who will come up to Philly all the time, and
they said that DC. They're like, the percentage that you
make on a beer as a vendor is lower, but
the prices are so much higher that a balance is out.
So like when we first got to ten Bucks, I

(35:55):
think they were around fifteen already, which is crazy.

Speaker 3 (35:58):
That's insane, Yeah, insane when we do it here, come on,
and kids don't even drink anymore, So you should reward
the people that are still buying the product. Damn it unbelievable.
All right, I digress one good one from the timeline
if we could. I did get this email as well,

(36:18):
clearing out my email. That's a pretty good segment right there, Kyle.
Public practice for your Philadelphia Eagles has been announced. Join
us on August tenth at six point thirty pm for
the Eagles training Camp Public Practice presented by Independence Blue Cross.
Tickets now on sale for ten dollars and twenty five cents.

(36:40):
The benefit to the Eagles Autism Foundation. Fans interesting and
attending must purchase tickets parking for practices free. Thank you
on that one again. Yeah yeah, everyone charged dollar days.

Speaker 2 (36:52):
What do you going to do?

Speaker 3 (36:52):
But still football season right around the corner, my friend,
and I'm looking forward to covering it all again right
here on the game. All right, Kyle, let's go ahead
and fire up what we were discussing before the break,
And this one caught my attention again because we are
echin closer not towards football season. July thirty first is
the MLB trade deadline. So how active will the Phillies be.

(37:14):
We don't know. We assume that they're gonna go out
there and make a move for somebody to whether a
bat in the outfield. I do believe that they could
still potentially use some help in the bullpen. Bullpen has
been okay as of late. That's great, but ebbs and flows,
and of course with the loss of Alvarados, you know,
so it won't surprise me if they get a bat
and a glove or in a pitcher when it comes

(37:35):
to the trade deadline. Anyways, passing put out a bunch
of names. Is there anyone a particular that caught your attention?
He also put out Chapman, of course, the heart throwing closer,
which it's always fun when he enters the ballgame because
you never know what you're gonna get, I feel like,
but man, any of these names really catch your attention?

Speaker 2 (37:55):
Kyle? Yeah, Well, there's a.

Speaker 4 (37:57):
Few names that everybody's been putting out there, you know,
the top tier closers that are available. Durand from the Twins,
class A from Cleveland if they're willing to trade him
even though he has two years left after this season.
Bautista and Mullins is a very common combo that you
see thrown out there. So those names are common, and
while I think they would all be good additions to

(38:19):
the Phillies, the guy that stood out the most to
me is someone I hadn't really thought about was adalis Garcia.

Speaker 2 (38:26):
From the Texas Rangers.

Speaker 4 (38:28):
Guys having a little bit of a down year from
what you might expect of him, but a lot of
his advanced metrics point to more him being unlucky.

Speaker 2 (38:38):
Than anything else.

Speaker 4 (38:39):
And if you bring him in here with Kevin Long,
there's a chance that maybe they could make some adjustments
with him.

Speaker 2 (38:45):
The guy's got a lot of pop.

Speaker 4 (38:46):
He plays a strong outfield. He can play center, He's
probably better suited in the corner. So if you can
put him in left and then have Kepler or marsh
or Rojas platoon in some way in center, have step
defense and their ebbs and flows, and let Garcia do
what he does. Just taking a look, he strikes out
a lot, but the entire teams strikeout rated is down

(39:08):
across the board just looking two seasons go at thirty
nine homers with twenty nine doubles, last season twenty seven
homers twenty five doubles.

Speaker 2 (39:17):
He's been twenty five to.

Speaker 4 (39:19):
Thirty five homers almost every season of his full time
playing career. So, although a little slow right now, he'd
be a guy that would be very interesting because.

Speaker 2 (39:28):
Plus arm plus glove has pop.

Speaker 4 (39:31):
If you know, you might not put him in the
top three in the order, but if he's back there
protecting Castianos and Harper and Schwarber, that would be a
great addition to me. So he's the guy, even though
he's ranked lower on the list from passing, I think
that he would be a great grab and wouldn't cost
you nearly as much as some of these other guys.

Speaker 3 (39:51):
Oh, by the way, postseason success back in twenty twenty
three when he hit five bombs in the ALCSS in
Houston's went yard in the World Series as well. Yeah,
he's he is a bomber. Love to see him and
you bring him in and you start putting him in
front of these fans and he delivers.

Speaker 2 (40:07):
Whoo.

Speaker 4 (40:08):
He's a guy who's got some swagger to him. Yeah,
it's for sure. He is very reminiscent of remember when
Randy and Rose Arena broke out for Tampa Bay. And
I know he's been traded to Seattle since, but his
breakout was in the postseason and everybody kind of thought, like, man,
just the energy that this guy has.

Speaker 2 (40:25):
He lives for the bright lights.

Speaker 4 (40:27):
And that reminds me a lot of what Garcia did
in that World Series run for Texas.

Speaker 2 (40:31):
So he's a guy that stood out to me.

Speaker 4 (40:33):
That not that the other names aren't better on paper,
or that they might fit a need better, especially with
how many closers are listed there. But from my perspective,
my money, Garcia is the guy who stood out because
he's not a guy that a lot of people have mentioned,
but he fits a very specific need. They need power,
they need help in the outfield, and he brings both
of that in speeds.

Speaker 3 (40:51):
Yeah, I love it. Luke just simplified it and threw
some names out there. Of course, he linked the article,
so go read it. The bottom line is, when you
start to see those names, you're like, all right, there's
potential for some names that will register with maybe an
average day baseball fan. Of course, people like us to
pay attention to this daily, weekly, yearly, so on and
so forth. Yeah, these are names that are definitely guys

(41:12):
that come and contribute and definitely help you out. But
get the juices going, let's put it that way. So
super excited to see what's gonna happen there. Again, a
lot of teams potentially in the in the running. You
always gotta watch out for those teams that are somewhat
in the surprise spot and it's like, okay, you're here,
now you got to go for it. So it might

(41:32):
be overpaying for some of those players with some names
that won't be too much of a surprise. I don't
expect Dombrowski to empty the wallet by no means, but
if the price is right, and some of those big
name players are available, I would fully expect one or
two to be moved here in Philly. Again, I hate
to say it like this, but you see what the

(41:53):
Dodgers are. That's that's where it is. That's the bar.
The bar has been set, and I know it's baseball
and French sport, and you know you can go out
there with a bunch of average players and beat that. No, Man,
the Dodgers are good. They are so good, and you
better have some great bats. You better have everybody in tune,

(42:13):
some power numbers hitting, and of course some great pitch
and to beat them in a seven game series. Hopefully
the Phillies will get an opportunity to do so. All right,
anything else as far as the trade deadline catching your
attention before we move off of that.

Speaker 4 (42:25):
No, the thing that I found interesting, at least about
Passions articles is how many Red Sox he had listed there.

Speaker 2 (42:30):
I know that they are five hundred, but.

Speaker 4 (42:33):
They I feel like they're gonna be a team that
wants to make noise to kind of win back the fan.

Speaker 2 (42:38):
Base after the Devers fiasco.

Speaker 4 (42:39):
So I wouldn't be surprised he lists Duran on there.
I'd be stunned if they traded him, even though they
have a surplus of outfielders he lists pregnant a though
the percentages of them moving him as very low, and
I would agree with that. But he's mostly on there
because he would make a huge impact to whoever except
acquired him. Rather Yeah, I mean, just how many Red
Sox from there? I think they're gonna go the other way.

(43:01):
I think they're gonna make one of these moves. Maybe
they trade the two expiring relievers that they have to
retool a little bit. But I don't think they're gonna
trade anybody who's going to make an impact for them
next season. So if you're going to read the Passion article,
definitely go follow Luke and check out out he linked
to it already. But I would say that the Red Sox,
I wouldn't point at them thinking that they're going to
empty empty the roster out at the deadline.

Speaker 3 (43:24):
No, not at all. Kyle Fisher forty five on Social's
a couple of quick wins for you out here, Kyle
Aaron Rodgers the Big Story of the day, essentially from
the Pat McAfee Show, said that twenty twenty five will
most likely be his final season in the NFL. I
don't think anybody's surprised, but the only thing that hit
me was why come back? Why? Why? Why? Why come

(43:47):
back and play for the Steelers? Why?

Speaker 2 (43:51):
Just Ry wants to end on better terms?

Speaker 4 (43:53):
Right, I mean, not a good season at all last year,
had the injury the year before. It's wants to end
it on his term, so he comes back, puts all
he has left into it, has a decent showing before
riding off. You know, these guys are very prideful, so
he wants to end it on ended his way and
not be told that it's time to walk.

Speaker 3 (44:14):
Away, especially Rogers, who ended up giving a wonderful gem
of a comment. And normally we get this sound that
is updated, but it's not in there just yet. So
I apologize on that, but I'll give you the quote,
and Rogers said quote, I don't want the attention. When
I'm done playing, you won't see me. Kyle Fisher's a

(44:37):
gambling show. And I don't know if you want to
take this wager, but I am willing to bet anybody
that we will see Aaron Rodgers when he is done playing,
so much so that I could see Rogers doing a
podcast like three Quarters of America. I could see Rogers
being involved somewhat with McAfee. I could see Rogers being
involved with something like Amazon. The number that will be fetched.

(44:59):
His way will be through the roof, and it's an
easy paycheck. Aaron Rodgers, you could sit there and say
whatever you want there, Bud, you ain't going nowhere, so
less is more at this point in time. I know
he's got the biggest ego possible, and he's a hell
of a player, four times MVP, super Bowl Champ, one
of the best quarterbacks I've ever seen. But man, like that,

(45:20):
that's the stuff that bothers me, Like, you know, if
you have an opinion on the big story of the
day in the political world, or you know, you have
your take on vaccines, whether it's incorrect or not. I
didn't like the fact that he came out there and
what do he say, I was imanized right when you know,
somewhat lied. I didn't like that. That was odd, especially

(45:40):
in that time. But like, none of that really hit me,
and bothers me. You know what bothers me is when
he says something stupid like this, You're not going anywhere, bro, love.
You love the attention. You love when people talk about you,
and that's why you're back playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers
for an offense that's probably gonna be even worse than
what you were last year with the New York Jets.

Speaker 2 (46:01):
Yeah, I don't want the attention.

Speaker 4 (46:03):
Is a hilarious statement coming I didn't know that he
was starting his foray into comedy.

Speaker 2 (46:09):
That what a ridiculous statement from that guy, of all people.

Speaker 4 (46:14):
But I do think that he's the type of guy
who you won't see go into the booth. I don't
think he's gonna be Tony Row or Tom Brady. No,
I think you're gonna still see him doing sparingly what
he's kind of doing now.

Speaker 2 (46:26):
He's boys with McAfee. Will show up there, especially if
he keeps getting that stipend.

Speaker 4 (46:30):
He'll show up there if somebody wants to pay him
to do like an occasional zoom during their Sunday coverage.
Maybe not every week, but I'm sure that he'll take
a pretty penny to sit in the comfort of his
own home, talk about his drug use and talk about
why the quarterback play isn't as good as it was
in his day.

Speaker 2 (46:48):
Just like every quarterback.

Speaker 1 (46:49):
Right.

Speaker 2 (46:49):
Wait, wait, don't you don't want to be more like
far minus the.

Speaker 3 (46:53):
Crime nice Vere. You don't see potentially again, we know
what the numbers are, right, Who's got more money than Netflix?
Who's got money more money in Amazon? With Bezos? Maybe
Netflix isn't the right one, but they do have money
as well, and they're going into the world of sports.
You don't see Rogers as potentially a who the hell's

(47:15):
the guy? Noteth? Who's the quarterback of Fitzpatrick. You don't
see him in that role. You don't see Rogers taking
on like a Thursday night football pregame show role.

Speaker 2 (47:24):
I think he would do it remotely. I don't think
he I don't think he's gonna.

Speaker 4 (47:27):
Be a guy who wants to go out to the
studio and have to listen to them, get him set
and dress the way they want him to dress, and
say the thing and be careful about the things he
wants to say.

Speaker 2 (47:35):
He wants to come in.

Speaker 4 (47:36):
For a thirty second segment, a five minute segment, remotely,
just like showing a square of his head like mine
right here, and just you know, spew off at the
mouth and not have to worry about people telling him
to where to be when he can do it at
his own speed and still make a pretty penny while
doing it.

Speaker 3 (47:53):
He made thirteen point six five million dollars this year
to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers. And that's the take
a hit. That's to compete against guys like Miles Garrett.
That's to get beat up by all defenses because he's
a lack of offensive line for the Steelers. Yeah, the
number that he would fetch from Amazon or Netflix. Oh,

(48:15):
I mean, we're talking just crazy amounts compared to that number.
I I one.

Speaker 2 (48:20):
Might make ten million dollars just to click a zoom link.

Speaker 3 (48:22):
That's true to You're right, you're right, you're right. The
world is his oyster. It's Aaron Rodgers. Again, I don't
care like he wants to come off as a victim.
A lot of people do that, and and that's fine
if that's what he wants to do. You know, these
these people that often yell about that yelled about snowflakes.
Remember that was the same like five eight years ago.
Oh you're such a snowflake. No, no, those people are

(48:43):
now the biggest snow Now there are the snowflakes. Right,
So it's like the.

Speaker 4 (48:48):
Sensitive dudes I know, think that everybody else are sensitive exactly.

Speaker 3 (48:52):
Uh So like Rogers saying, oh, you're never gonna see me,
I'll take that action, Rogers, let me let me tweet them.
Let me see if he's on Twitter and tweet them.

Speaker 2 (48:59):
See.

Speaker 3 (48:59):
I bet all right, we'll keep it moving. Good stuff,
Kyle having some fun here, We'll get you out of
here on this one. What do you say I did
have some fun with Mark Henry Junior. I'm not sure
if you caught those questions earlier, but right here, good, good, good,
So right here, right now, we're looking at what or
over triple digits right now? I got my car as
one of three. It's you know it is it's the dashboard,

(49:22):
you know, temperature that is everybody takes a picture of
and you're like, whoa dude, what is going on right now?
It is really really hot anyway. So with that being said,
I did put out five questions, five hot questions for
Kyle Fisher right here. So with that, let's go ahead
and say question number one, five burning questions. Sorry, Stalin

(49:45):
was trying to find the email. Couldn't find my questions
five burning questions, smooth operator here number one on the board.
What is the worst sports take you've heard this month?
Kyle Fisher?

Speaker 2 (49:56):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (49:56):
There's a local radio station that tried to justify to
me that the Super Bowl winning quarterback isn't elite, isn't
good left should leave him out of the top eleven,
isn't one of the best players to play currently in
the city, not even talking all time, but currently in
the city. Slow news for people who don't want to
talk about the other sports. So, yeah, that's the worst

(50:18):
take that I've heard. Maybe second is the Rogers taking just.

Speaker 3 (50:21):
The Yeah, you got a new leader in the clubhouse. No,
that's a good one. Nice worked by you on that one.
Question Number two, five burning question on this hot Tuesday.
One athlete, coach or sports media personality you would not
want to be trapped in a bus with for six
hours with no air conditioning?

Speaker 2 (50:41):
Oh that is.

Speaker 3 (50:45):
One athlete, coach or sports media personality.

Speaker 2 (50:49):
Athlete coach, sports media personality? Nick right?

Speaker 3 (50:53):
Oh, Nick right.

Speaker 4 (50:56):
Every time I see that guy's face, I just get
I feel like this burning sensation inside.

Speaker 2 (51:02):
Not that he's he's not awful.

Speaker 4 (51:03):
I know what he's doing. He's really good at what
he does. Let me give credit where credits due. The
guy is really good. He's made adjustments to blow up
to how he has. I like some of the things
that he does to drum up viewership. But he's so
good at it that it bothers me, and therefore.

Speaker 2 (51:19):
I would get hot just sitting next to him.

Speaker 4 (51:21):
So ac that guy wanted to wants to talk and
just blow hot air in my ear.

Speaker 2 (51:25):
I don't know if I could handle.

Speaker 3 (51:26):
He's about as opinionated as it gets, and he's never wrong. Yeah,
he's one of those.

Speaker 2 (51:30):
All right.

Speaker 3 (51:30):
Number three, you have to create a new Olympics sport
from summer activities. Where are you going? What are you doing?
Mark Carey Junior said, gambling. I was like, yeah, I
could see it.

Speaker 4 (51:40):
Let's do it is spike ball and Olympics sport yet
not that.

Speaker 2 (51:47):
Do you think it's a collegiate sport? Now?

Speaker 3 (51:49):
Are you good at it?

Speaker 4 (51:51):
I was good when I first saw it. I was Okay,
I shouldn't say good.

Speaker 2 (51:55):
I was.

Speaker 4 (51:56):
I was good compared to the people I was playing with.
But my knees just don't the same way anymore. Man,
So not my sport, but a fun sport to watch.

Speaker 3 (52:04):
Mine's bucket golf. I'm gonna give you that answer right there. Yeah,
like that, my buddy calling him getting bucket golf, and
we were just having a blast the other day. It's
pretty fun, all right. Question number four, what's your guilty
go to pleasure show or movie? Luke Arcaney had Love
Island on his mind yesterday. Which you do you have
one that you have a go to?

Speaker 4 (52:24):
I don't know if you would consider this, but professional wrestling.
I cannot get enough of professional wrestling, even as an adult.

Speaker 2 (52:31):
There was a long time off of it, a long.

Speaker 4 (52:35):
Time where I fell off of it, and then when
my son was around six years old, I introduced him
to it, got back in. He has since fallen back
off and I can't stop watching. So my guilty pleasure
is I'll sometimes I will ignore non major sporting events
to watch professional wrestling instead.

Speaker 3 (52:53):
How about that's a good one, all right? Kyle knocking
him out of the park. Final question number five? Who
you bring him to a bu arbeque? A current athlete
in Philadelphia?

Speaker 4 (53:03):
Jason Kelce current as well.

Speaker 3 (53:05):
You know we allow it, well, allow it, well, allow it, Jason.

Speaker 4 (53:09):
If we're gonna current Brandon Mars because he looks like
just just the same level of partier as Jason Kelcey.
Maybe he can't swing him back as much as Jason Camp,
but I think both of them would be a really
good time, roll with the punches and do whatever the
party allowed. So I like can't go wrong with either
one of those guys.

Speaker 3 (53:25):
Great answers, Kyle, fantastic job as always great to get
you on here to mix it up. Of course, we
got ourselves a big one tonight going down in Houston.
That's front and center for everybody here in Philadelphia tomorrow,
the NBA Draft. You're not a big NBA guy, You're
not a big NBA draft guy.

Speaker 2 (53:41):
Correct. I'll pay attention. We have.

Speaker 4 (53:44):
We have a crew covering it pretty closely over at
Philly Sports Network. I'll be tuned into their Draft reaction
show the next day for sure, but we have a
staunch crew over there doing a lot of.

Speaker 2 (53:56):
Prep work this week. We've been.

Speaker 4 (53:58):
If you check out Philly Sports Now at work dot com,
they have a nice little prediction piece if they just
put out getting you Ready, so I would. Yeah, I'll
be paying attention closely, probably won't be watching the Draft lives.

Speaker 3 (54:09):
Yeah, Look, it's two nights. There's no need for a
second night.

Speaker 2 (54:13):
Come on, I'm big on show me the picks at
the end of the day.

Speaker 4 (54:16):
If I don't watch a lot of college so like
you could tell me that that the Lord himself was drafted,
I think, yeah, just show me the scouting report.

Speaker 3 (54:24):
I'm fine, and then we get to rank them, to
put a report card out there on the players that
we've watched maybe three minutes on all season. But still, yes, exactly,
it's what we do, man, that's what we do. We
gotta love it. All right, what are you working over
there in the Philly Sports Now? What's your next piece
coming out?

Speaker 4 (54:38):
So I finally actually started doing the research on that
two targets from one team trade piece that I've been
teasing the last couple of weeks, A fun one that
I just did, although they just played the Mets. I
did a nice little look back at the rivalry of
the Mets, bost recent history, some major moments between the
Phillies and Mets all time, and some big name players

(54:59):
who played for both franchises. So that's a little bit
of an older piece. And then that trade piece will
be out this week, and then I have my live
stream on Tuesday's Alley Talk over on Philly Sports Networks
YouTube Talk on All Phillies.

Speaker 3 (55:11):
So to what I'm talking about, Kyle staying busy. Yeah,
the first Yeah, that's a good one. First player that
comes to my mind that played for both is easy.
It's Flinny Dykstra.

Speaker 4 (55:22):
Okay, that's obviously he made the list.

Speaker 2 (55:26):
Bobby and Bray us a big one.

Speaker 3 (55:28):
That's actually not easy.

Speaker 2 (55:30):
That is a good played one year with the Mets.

Speaker 3 (55:32):
That's a good pull. And and now as I'm thinking
about it, of course he should be top dog front
and center. Zach Wheeler.

Speaker 4 (55:43):
Of course, Zach Wheeler. Billy Wagner is a big one.
And here's one that I didn't realize until I looked
it up. And I should have known. This will surprise
a lot of people. Richie Ashburn. Richie Ashburn blasts his
last season in Major League Baseball was with the New
York Mets.

Speaker 3 (56:00):
Wow, I definitely did not know that. That's cool.

Speaker 2 (56:03):
I didn't know that one either. The other guys I knew,
but didn't know that one.

Speaker 3 (56:06):
Fantastic job. Kyle, always a pleasure man, great stuff as usual.
Can't thank you enough for popping up on here. Especially
weekly with us. We lock them in, sends me a schedule,
and I look forward to this hit every single time.
We went a little extended run here, so I appreciate
that as well. We'll catch up later this week, man,
and I'll continue to read you and follow you on
social s. Kyle Fisher, forty five. Always a pleasure, sir.

Speaker 2 (56:27):
Appreciate you, man, Talk to you soon, my man.

Speaker 3 (56:29):
There he is Kyle Fisher on the Gambler stream. All right,
were keeping it moving here. Five o'clock hour is here.
And like I said earlier today, Mark Heret Junior was
on the program. We talked a lot about the NBA
Draft and this is the big story for a lot
of people right now dialed in. We'll take what's taking
place tomorrow night. It's two days, of course, but the
seventy six ers currently have the overall three pick, the

(56:52):
third pick right now in the NBA Draft, and it
seems like it seems like there is potential that the
seventy six ers could trade out of the three spot.
Now I get it. It depends what you end up with.
It depends you know, whether you get those assets and
the player that somewhat isn't all that bad. Maybe you
weren't sold on somebody at three. I don't like the

(57:15):
way that that sounds. Again, I'm a very simple man
off of what happened last season, the disaster that it was,
and then the reward at the end of the year
because you were so bad, you get the third overall pick,
and now there's nobody that's really making you like them
to the point that you want to draft them at
three overall. Yeah, I do not like the way that

(57:37):
that sounds at all. Not saying that that's how it's
going to play out, but I'm wondering if Darryl Mourray
is going to continue to look at all these players
as assets and as Mark Hembery Jr. Has pointed out,
that make them sound like they're all decimal points and
this and this, that and that. Mark made the case
on why Darryl Moury needs to select the player at
three overall and not trade out of that spot. Find

(57:58):
out if you agree on the other sides.

Speaker 2 (58:00):
Ticket.

Speaker 3 (58:00):
I'll be back tomorrow, brand new one coming your way
on a Wednesday. Julian Edlow from DraftKings. We're bumping him
up because of the NBA Draft and we'll be talking
about things Phillies tonight's Game one against the Houston Astros. Yeah, look,
we talked a little bit about that with Kyle Fisher.
From the perspective of wagering tonight, it would be interesting.
Now I have not had an opportunity to pull up

(58:21):
the lineup. It's five fourteen. I think that will be
out there right now for an eight ten first pitch,
So I apologize, but you would definitely have to look
at a guy like Schwerberg. Again, it's gonna be tough
against Valdez, understood, but he's been swinging a hot bat,
so he's definitely somebody that I want to look at.

Speaker 2 (58:36):
There.

Speaker 3 (58:36):
Also, the other player that we were pulling up that
I'm trying to find the numbers on right now is
so Sosa should be in that position for Stott because
it is Valdez with the lefty. Sosa is a guy
that you want to probably look at getting some great
value there. Swung a great bat against the Mets there,
so hopefully that continues down in Houston. So I'm all
on Sosa's plays, total bases and maybe a little sprinkle

(59:00):
at plus eight fifty. It takes that big bat down
to h Town. And gets one. Why not, let's have
some fun, Let's roll the dice a little bit here
and credit to anybody that took James Wood. Last night.
We talked a little bit about that. It's from the
perspective of what happened with FanDuel and how they changed
their rules due to everybody cashing in on the Nationals,
James Wood going yard, NBA thing, So a lot coming

(59:23):
your way. On the other side, don't touch that dial,
keep a lock right here to the game.
