things. I don't think Anthony Davisneeds any more motivation. But these national

ballplayers, man, that's what theygotta do sometimes. And I would imagine
Anthony Davis definitely called winded those words. Your take on Paul Reid and what
he had to say about ad.Yeah, I agree with your guys take
that Anthony Davis is not a guythat I consider like a huge flopper by
any means that I think for themost part, like his issues have been
with injuries, is really the onlybig critique that gets thrown his way.

Not a guy that I think that'sreputation of his or with the way he
plays, So it was a littlebit surprised to see it. I also
agree with Mark Henry Junior of theI don't think Paul Read's the most calculator,
and everything that he says he doessling it, let it go,
whatever comes to minds coming out onthe mic, and I think that's a
little bit of what happened here.He's got a nice, like fun loving
nature about the way he says things, so I think the quote probably reads
harsher than it came out of hismouth. But I'm sure that got to

Anthony Davis. I'm sure there willbe at least be some comments made about
it in the Lakers' locker room,and yeah, no need to give anyone
else in edge when it comes tothat. But at the end of the
day. This is the Joel Embiidversus Anthony Davis show that he did not
show up to give Paul Reid thirtythat this is gonna be the Embid versus
Davis thrownwn So tonight that number isnow down to five Sixers or five point
favorites at home two thirty one.Big win over the weekend against o case.

See your thoughts on this game.I'm a little bit surprised their five
point favorites. I kind of thoughtit was gonna be a little bit more
narrow than that. But I stillfeel good about the Sixers. I thought
the thunder win was one of theirbest victories of the season, just another
very mature victory. That's been mybiggest takeaway so far throughout the season is
that there's a lot of just businesslike wins that the Sixers team is producing.
I think they are better than thisLakers team. I do think they

get the win tonight. Five stillfeels a little bit steep to me.
I think this is gonna be apretty one of the better games of the
season. I think that I rememberlast year's Lakers game going to overtime in
a very fun game with that Patbev on the other side of things,
very much in the mix for howthat game ended, getting teed up and
everything else. So I think therewill be a very fun game tonight.
I like the Sixers. I probablylean more towards the player prop angle if

you do want to bet this.I do think Joel Embiid shows up tonight
over thirty two and a half atplus one hundred. I like that he
gets up for big matchups, andI think he's gonna have this one circle
for the Anthony Davis Show. Soa little bit nervous about the five,
but I do feel good about theSixers getna win. The weird thing about
this line, it's something I've noticeda lot throughout this year. I think
it's less Sixers related. I don'tthink Vegas buys the Lakers at all.

Yeah, I feel like every timeI see a Lakers line, I'm like
really like, I'm like, they'rethey're this big of an underdog too,
who Like I feel like that's whatI've noticed every time the Lakers are playing.
I don't know what that is.I know Vanderbilt's been out has been
out a little bit, but uh, yeah, I don't know if you've
noticed that a little bit, butI don't think Vegas and the odds makers
are buying into this Lakers team atall. Yeah, and to be honest,
need to do I fully that Ithink they're better than last year.

I think they took step fowards,but I like, I still think better
a far cry from like the Nuggetsat the top of the West, and
I just don't see it with theway this team's constructed. Vincent gave Vincent's
been hurt, which I do thinkthat's gonna be a big deal. I
think he's a guy gonna eat intothe D'Angelo Russell minutes when we get down
to this stretch time. I likegave Vincent quite a bit, so I
do think that's a big deal.Yeah, they're not full we haven't seen

them fully constructed yet, so I'mgonna give them benefit of doubt. Vanderbilt's
another big piece of that team,and I think a guy would be very
valuable in tonight's game, So that'sgonna be a big loss for them.
But yeah, I'm not completely inon this Lakers team yet. Lebron's still
doing his thing. It's amazing he'sdoing at this age, but it's also
a little telling how much he hasto do on a night basis. All

Let's have a listen. Paul rementioned some stuff by Davis and his
approach playing him, given that he'sput a big flopper when he talked about
somebody. Yeah, sorry, whenyou are trying to coach guys up to

play defense against somebody's obviously trying todraw balls in a specific way, is
there any sort of approach you liketo see? That's news to me.
I'm gonna have to talk with thatimmediately after this but no, I mean
we just we We've always listen.He's super skilled, super talented, Like
if you know, that goes outabout another minute. So we were out

on that one. But his reactionwas why I played it. His facial
reaction was pretty good there. Ibelieve that was asked by Lauren. I
could be wrong. I believe thatwas Lauren Rosen. I think that was
Gina. Yeah, there's no waySixers reports well. I still I think
Gina cleaned that up a little bit. What do you tell your players when

they're playing against someone? Here?That was the way of saying what Paul
Reid said without asking what did youthink of said? That was interesting?
It would have been nice for someoneto just go ahead and put that on
a sea. Is that something thatyou like, you know, to hear
from your players? There's uh beingthought provoker. I don't know, maybe
maybe not, but yeah, Ithought it was a pretty funny facial feature

anything on Tonight's you said you likembid over thirty two and a half
tyrees, Max's at twenty six anda half on DraftKings Lebron twenty five and
a half, a D twenty threeand a half, anything from the Lakers
angle for you, Shaviynard a guyit has not popped up on DraftKings yet,
so you might have to to searchthis out or might pop up closer

to game time. But a guythat I've been all over is the Nicholas
Batum assist. I've had a niceladder in for the Oklahoma City matchup.
He ended up with three in thatone, got the over one and a
half for I believe it was minusone twenty and the over two and a
half for plus two thirty, andthen came up a little shy of plus
five hundred on the over three anda half. But six is a run
on a ton of their half courtsets through. Batom is the primary playmaker.
Nick Nurse clearly trust him as adecision maker, and he's really good

as connective passers, the best entrypass guy on this six Ers team.
So I like Nick Batums props alot, and especially on a night like
tonight, where I do think he'sgonna be called on Kelly ubret out.
So Nick Patum I like quite abit. I've got a question about Nick
Patuma. Kate Scott and the PAannouncer in the Sixers Arena are calling him
Nico Batoum. Yeah, Nick Patum'sbeen in my life for a long time.

We've known who Nick Patum has beenin the NBA for like a decade
plus. I've never heard him calledNico in my life. He's been Nicholas
or Nick my entire life. What'sgoing on here? Yeah, I've created
his Nico thing. I've been confusedon that as well that a couple of
Clippers people say that he did goby Nico a little bit. I've heard
Nick Patum since like the Charlotte daysand the Portland days of like, like

it's always been Nick Patum. Butyeah, he apparently wonts to be called
Nico, so I guess we shouldprobably give him that respect there. But
yeah, Nicholas Batum, whatever youwant to be called there, I guess

it's gonna be packed up ready togo on a Monday, and at least
it's not raining out there. I'msure you know Mark is feeling me on

the Bears and the Vikings, andthe net will put a boat on the

play from tonight, which is JoshDobbs anytime touchdown. Josh Dobbs, anytime
touchdown, you gotta absolutely have tolike that play. This is straight Yeah,
has it really? Five straight Russiantouchdown six on the season. He's
the number ten fantasy quarterback by theway, Josh Dobbs, He's electric to
watch. I've said this before plusa nice part. Yes, I got
it earlier at two thirty, butone ninety I still love that. Yeah.

Absolutely, The Vikings when they getJustin Jefferson back, will be more
dangerous than they've ever been with KirkCousins, with Josh Dobbs, that's my
take. I like that bring thelegs in there. That's hot threat,
That is hot, that's a hottake. Hey, he could turn into
a pumpkin tonight and I could looklike But I think what he makes happen

with his legs behind that line thathas clearly kind of been a step behind
for a couple of years. Theyjust never have figured it out on that
O line. And it felt likefor a long time you saw Kirk Cousins
just turtling for sex. The passrush would come and he would he would,
you know, cover up before theywere even two feet away. But
Josh Dobbs instead of that, he'srunning all over the field. The one

touchdown he had last week where hebroke like two tackles, ran to the
sideline, dropped it off, Like, I think this Josh Dobbs things for
real. I'm buying it. Fully. We've seen like a full season of
it. I just think he's comingto so many different situations and excelled.
I I'm buying into it. Ithink he's playing like a top fifteen quarterback,
Like he's playing above league average.Well, you know, it is

interesting to see. He's been inthe league for a little while though,
so it's not like they don't havea book on him. I don't know.
It's just like he's been able tojust you know, go off script
script to make it happen. Yeah, right, just you know, just
playing the game and having fun,being loose with it, and it's like,
you know, not making the killermistakes. But at the same time,
just if it does happen, ohwell, you're a new guy that

was just traded four weeks ago.If that, I don't even think he's
played for you. Yeah, becausethere's no pressure. There's no pressure on
Dobbs. It's you're in a winwin situation. I love that. Plus
one ninety though. It's a niceplay there, all right. Like I
said, we clirteen Eagles and niners. Why why are the forty nine ers
favored in your opinion now up totwo and a half right now, Mark
Henry Junior. Why would the oddsmakers have the forty nine ers coming into

Lincoln Financial Field next Sunday and they'retwo and a half pointing favored in your
mind? So I think they thinkthat this is a luckier run than it
is. We went over all thereasons that we don't think so. But
I think the Vegas is is theanalytic community. It is the numbers community.
They are driving all that stuff.You better believe they're reading the Action
Network luck rankings based on what Joewhat the Eagles have had, and you

look at some of those metrics.But San fran is very clearly a top
three team in the NFL if theythink that the Eagles are fraudulent at all,
and they don't have them in thetop four or five in power,
which I forget who I saw talkingabout. I think it was Stucky,
who I know. You go backand forth man Stucky getting great nuggets from
Stucky that I steal on my showquite often. But he said it on

there that the Vegas power rankings onwhat he had didn't have the Eagles in
the top five and they had theNiners first. Do we agree with that?
No, But I wasn't as shockedas a lot of other people were
when that line dropped. I thoughtit'd be a pick them. So when
it opened like forty nine ers minusone, I wasn't that shocked. Now
that I saw it this morning,get to plus three. That's disrespectful.

Yeah, a three point dog athome when you're ten and one and every
other team has three losses in theNFL. It's disrespectful. But they think
they think the luck is gonna runout. I think that they are vastly
overrating what the luck has been andalso vastly underrating the track record that this
team has. It's a team thatwent fourteen and one with Jalen Hurts at

quarterback last year and it's doing thesame thing again. Is it the same
exact script? No, But likeI said earlier, the Giants and Vikings
last year, we all knew theywere frods. We all knew they were
lucky. They weren't coming off ofa Super Bowl appearance where they went toe
to toe with Patrick Mahomes and lostby a field goal. It's just a
different ballgame. If I was talkingabout a team that hadn't shown me they
can do it, then that's adifferent conversation. But I've seen that this

team can do it, and they'resitting here at ten and one. I'm
not going to ask too many questions, but that's what it is. I
think. Yeah, And I'll sayfrom the Eagles perspective that I love it
that. Keep it a underdog.Absolutely, keep throwing some fuel on the
fire. Let's let people keep doubtingthis team because that's been the theme of
this Eagles team is they just finda way. They find a way to
get it done. That starts atthe top with Jalen Hurts and Nick Sirianni.

And you better believe that they aregoing to eat this up seeing that
they are not considered the favorite towin this game. And I'm sure they're
not paying the attention to the lineslike that, but still the expectation that
they're not going to win, that'sgoing to be heard within the locker room.
And I love that from an Eaglesperspective. The forty nine ers are
the real deal. Brock Perdy,as much as I've been skeptical of him,
has been playing some really good fulllately. Have to tip my hat
to that. So this is gonnabe a hard fall game. But you

know what, I'm not doubting thisteam right now, and they certainly shouldn't
feel that way inside the lockerroom.Yeah, I look at the injuries,
that's got to be in the factor. Forty nine ers coming off to buy
that's a factor. If the Eaglesplayed ninety the the defensive side, I
think Buffalo had ninety snaps it's alot. So it's like, come on,
man, this week is gonna betough for the Birds. I'm worried

about Lane more than anything. Yeah, absolutely, Lane is the biggest.
If Lane's out, then it's adifferent conversation. But from what I was
reading today, it seems like heshould be fine, he should play,
and it seemed like Goddard might beback this week as well. Trying to
people are forgetting that game last night. We won without Lane, Johnson,
Dallas, Goddard, and for mostof the game Fletcher Cox. That is

unbelievable that what they were able todo in coming from behind without all those
guys on both sides of the ball. I mean, it's incredible stuff.
But you mentioned earlier that you thinkthe Christian McCaffrey number is too low for
MVP. I don't think so becausewhat Sean mentioned Rock Purty, if we
removed the names from the MVP racethat we were just betting on stats,

Rock Purty's strongly in the conversation.I have a future on Rock Purty MVP.
He was like fifty to one,but it's still sitting like twenty to
one. It hasn't even it's notgonna win. No, it's not gonna
win, but it's not. Ithink I'd rather vote for Purty than mccaffry.
Seventeen. Yeah, I think Purtyhas a better claim than McCaffrey just
because of the positional value of whatquarterback is. But Rock Purty is playing

in an offense with the greatest playcaller in the NFL with Kyle Shanahan.
He's playing in an offense with atop five offensive line and the best offensive
lineman in football and Trent Williams.He's playing in an offense with the best
running back in football in Christian McCaffrey. He's playing an offense with the most
dual threat tight end in football andGeorge Kittle, And oh yeah, he
has Deebo Samuel and oh yeah,he has Brandon Ayuk, who is breaking

out as like a full on topten receiver in the NFL. It is
just the most star studded offense I'veever seen outside of the quarterback position.
And it makes brock Perty's job aneasier in a way that I don't think
any quarterback has had an easier jobthan Brock Party in a very long time.
Yeah, I think that's all fair. I also like I've very much

been a brock pretty skeptic, butsome of these stat lines he's putting up
as amazing, like against the Buccaneersof two weeks ago, twenty one of
twenty five for three hundred and thirtythree yards, three touchdowns, no interceptions,
like that is you can't do muchbetter than that from a quarterback perspective,
and I totally agree, like hedoes not do this without the names
that you named around him. Imean, we saw it when Deebo went

out for sure. Yeah one piece, Yeah, and that all matters.
But the bottom line is you haveto face this team in its entirety that
that is the same issue for everyone. The Eagle is gonna have to match
up with each and every one ofthose guys, and that's still frightening.
So it's gonna be a blood bathagain this week. Yeah, all right,
let's stay with week thirteen. Iwas just looking at some nonsense on

social media as always that kind ofjust got my brain going with the other
just dumb stuff from the weekend.But we're only up against this, so
let's stay with week thirteen. Justas far as Thursday night, we will
be live and Maggie's on the Waterfrontfor our third installment, our third and
final watch party this year, Seahawksand Cowboys. We got ourselves a good
one there and this game we've hadfor sure. Definitely definitely eight and a

half on DraftKings at this point intime, Mark is any as you obviously
have to go through these numbers assoon as they pop out. Any of
these numbers jump off the page ofyou at all, any of these games
that intrigued you as far as Weekthirteen matchups are concerned. Yeah, I

league, and I think that thatit's a little bit of a disrespectful line,

which is hard to say since they'rea road favorite. But it opened
at minus one and a half Coltsat Titans. It's now sitting at two.
I love the Colts there minus too. I also love what the Colts
team total probably will be, whichprobably be like twenty two and a half
twenty one and a half. TheColts have hit their team total over nine
of their eleven games this year,nine of their eleven. They're the only
team in the NFL that's done that. I think this Colts team is really

really a live dog in terms ofgetting into the playoffs. You take a
look at their schedule, not ahard schedule, sitting here at six and
five. They control their destinies.So that's definitely one that has my eye.
Another one that has my eye isdefinitely the Dolphins. I think the
Dolphins on the road against the Commanders. It seems like the Commanders have really
packed it in. It seems liketheir season's over, firing del Rio Fire

and another defensive guy. But youknow, let's leave Ron Rivera in place.
Shout out to Josh Harris. Butyeah, I think the Dolphins take
care of business there. It feelslike they haven't had the beatdown game in
a while. And we saw whatthat Washington defense looked like against Tommy DeVito.
You better believe Tu and the boys, jayl and Waddle and Tyreek Hill

are going to be running all overthe field on that Washington secondary. But
this one's not a play from thisweek, But I think I had to
fit it in here since we dohave Chambernard here, who is the resident
Justin Herbert Biggest, Justin Herbert Hater, Justin Herbert Truther. Yeah, I
thought I was I thought I was, but I think it's so. I
think it's Sean Bernard, Justin Herbert, Sean Brace. We tweeted these stats

out a little bit today, butI've went through and got a couple more.
Okay, there's plenty, there's plentyyou could do. You're exactly right
in Justin Herbert's career. And Iknow QB wins aren't John Jansen's favorite thing
to talk about. A lot ofpeople get a little squirrely when you talk.
When you start talking about QB wins, I think you're along me and
Sean's side where you think winning thegame is the point of football. Yeah,

And a quarterback has more impact onwhether or not their team wins a
game than any other athlete does inteam sports, right, Like I think
you probably have more impact than agoalie in soccer hockey. Like I think
your quarterbacks the most important position inteam sports. Justin Herbert's played sixty games,
He's twenty nine and thirty one.Twenty nine and thirty one. Now
you hear that and you go,Okay, maybe you had a bad first

year or whatever case, Maybe maybeit's not that bad. Let's talk about
the other guys at the top.Tier of quarterbacks who Justin Herbert gets compared
to and mentioned with Jalen Hurts.Let's start out with him. Jalen Hurts
is thirty three and twelve in hiscareer, four more wins than Justin Herbert
in fifteen less games. He's wonfour more games. Lamar Jackson. Lamar

Jackson is fifty four and nineteen.Lamar Jackson has twelve less losses in thirteen
more games than Justin Herbert does.Josh Allen fifty eight and thirty won less
loss in twenty eight more games thanJustin Herbert. Patrick Mahomes seventy two and
nineteen. He has twelve less lossesin like forty more games. And then

the last one, Tua Tonguevoloa,who all the Herbert fans, all the
Herbertstans out there, they victory lappedon that for the the first three years
of Herbert into his career. AndI'm not saying that they're wrong, but
tuatungue i Loa is twenty nine andfifteen. He has the same amount of

wins as Justin Herbert in sixteen lessgames. At a certain point was to
a situation perfect that he got draftedinto no they had to fire the coach,
They had to get a whole entirestaff. His receiver course completely different
than it was when he got there. Was Josh Allen in the perfect situation?
No, he took over for TyrodTaylor, who was on a wild

card team. Was Lamar in theperfect situation? No, Baltimore was well
out of the playoffs when he tookover. Jalen Hurts, was he in
the perfect situation? This place wasa dumpster fire when Jalen Hurts took over
at a certain point. All ofthese quarterbacks had tough circumstances. You know
what they did. They won footballgames, and they persevered, They led
their team whatever the flaws were withthose teams, and they got to the

playoffs or they got to a levelof respectability. And the whole new thing
with Justin Herbert fans now is,oh, well, Lamar got all these
excuses for years for not having receivers. Why doesn't Herbert get the excuses.
The difference is Lamar's winning twelve andthirteen games and losing in the playoffs,
and we're getting upset with him forplayoff losses. Justin Herbert is twenty nine

and thirty one zero playoff wins,zero playoff wins, blew a twenty eight
nothing lead in the playoffs last year. He's four and seven right now.
The Justin nobody's ever been given morewhile accomplishing less than Justin Herbert. My
pushback is he's twenty five, nolong way to go. He get turned

it around you and he's a fantastictalent. He's a top ten quarterback right
now. By issue is when heis being put in the in the class
of Mahomes, Hurts, Burrows,Alan Lamar. That's my problem. When
he's being put into those guys.Those guys are automatically ten eleven wins.
Yeah, you're not winning less thanten eleven games with those guys. It's

you know, well, I thinkwhat needs to happen is you fire Stalely
and you're bringing Ben Jonson from theDetroit line. Well, he'll be the
scapegoat next year if that happens.So it'll just we'll find, we'll move
on, and we'll find the nextexcuse that Justin Herbert fans can latch onto.
It was Anthony Lynne, then itwas Joe Lombardi last year. Now
you got an offensive coordinator and who'sdoing a good job in Kellen Moore,

it's the head coach. How aboutthat hold out last night, that little
flea flick, the the catch acrossthe middle and then all of a sudden
eckler outside the backfield. That wasnice. I thought about mentioning this earlier.
You asked me about the Boise StateUNLV game. Isn't a bigger job
for Kellen Moore to keep being ino C? Or should he just go
coach Boise State like he built thatprogram as the head coach. Just go
bring Boisy State back to relevance,bring the goldfield. There nothing going on
