Number one on your car radio preset hand the new
and improved Diehard Radio, w D yes and w D
two seven three D Philadelphia.

Speaker 2 (00:07):
I is Fox Sports Radio, the Gambler.

Speaker 3 (00:16):
Four o'clock hot we Here in the Daily Ticket, Chubrey,
Sam Ostrey from the Score. We'll get into a little
bit of what's happening in his world over there at
the Score. Great website, great breakdowns by Sam Ostrie and
the team over at the Score. And even if you
want a little hockey, that's the place you need to go.
Playoffs right around the corner. Who you got Sam?

Speaker 2 (00:36):
The flyers in it joke?

Speaker 1 (00:38):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (00:39):
You know what? Summertime? Sam coming back with little yacht rock? Here,
my friend. What do you listen to? Man?

Speaker 3 (00:43):
What's what's on your dial? You know, I've been a
little Lumineer's kick. Wow, solid. I like this some old
schools if I know other songs, but they're great. I'm
I'm a I'll listen everything.

Speaker 4 (00:53):
I'm a little bit of rat I'm a little bit
of pop, a little bit of country.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
Like I love it all really like it depends on
my move I yeah, I listened.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
I really I'm not like the biggest music guy, but
when I like music, I'll listen to music on the
beach where I'm walking somewhere. You listen to rock, I
don't know yacht rocks. Never heard yacht rock. I went
to a Bruce Springsteen concert last summer at the Citizens
Bank Park.

Speaker 2 (01:19):
Was there your first Bruce show? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:20):
Obviously, Citizens Bank Park, great baseball field, great park to
go take the Phillies in one of the worst venues
to have a concert at.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
I kind of disagree. Wow.

Speaker 4 (01:32):
So I went to Morgan Wallen at sinces Bank Park
last May.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
So that was around a year ago.

Speaker 3 (01:38):
That was at Citizens Bank Parking not like that, okay,
And so Morgan is obviously awesome. He's the best. We
were in like a little suite, okay, me and some friends. Yeah,
that's gonna change things when you're in a swite. We're
average joes are obviously we got hooked up for that. Uh.

(01:59):
Some of my friends were actually on the floor, which
is sick. But it was a great view.

Speaker 4 (02:04):
And like it's I get it because the whole diamond
is cut off.

Speaker 2 (02:08):
There's no seats down there, so you're kind of like
looking there onto the stage, but.

Speaker 4 (02:11):
The whole stam is just vibing, rocking, and then we
go to Bruce Springsteen and we're in center field for
Bruce Springsteen, like one of the first rows in center field,
and you're directly across from the stage, but you see
the diamond and everything, and I still thought it was
It was a great atmosphere, a great experience. It's not
like you have that open space, so I get it's
not as cool, but I we actually we only went.

Speaker 2 (02:35):
Because my brother and I.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
My mom is the biggest Bruce Springsteen and I don't
know much about Bruce Springsteen, but my brother and I
got my mom tickets to go when so all three
of us went and I listened to some music before
and he was great, but he in concert, he was phenomenal.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
And it's like we were probably the youngest people there.
I mean, it was all just old heads, just vibe
and rocking out.

Speaker 4 (02:55):
And what was great about it, honestly, was you didn't
see a phone in sight. Like I went to a
Morgan won concert a few months before. I went to
the Morgan concert a few months before. Every single person's
more young people, more pat phones out, was watching the
concert through their phone.

Speaker 2 (03:09):
Sure, just doing all of that. Bruce Springsteen concert.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
Very different music, very different demographic, not a single phone out,
everyone just vibing, enjoying himself. And he for how old
he is, he still puts on a show that was
an awesome guy.

Speaker 3 (03:23):
The Boss is the Boss, There's no doubt about that.
I've seen Bruce a few times. A matter of fact,
I believe he shut down the the Spectrum. I think
he was the last show at the Spectrum.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
I was there at that one. Yeah, good, great time,
great venue.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
Obviously to catch Bruce out as well, I would just
say that cinces Bank Park was not made for concerts,
so therefore I'm not going to.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
You know, the expectation is what it is. I get it.

Speaker 3 (03:46):
It's convenient, huge parking, but yes, it's it's gonna take
me a free ticket and something special for me to
get to a concert.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
I like Morgan wallen Is. I don't care where the
venue is. Like, I'm going to more Quon. He's awesome.
I went to a Travis Scott concert.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
This was a few years Travis Scott, Bruce Springsty. Listen
to this, you do listen.

Speaker 4 (04:07):
I mean, if I love concerts, the concerts are awesome.
The concerts are more better than just listening to music
in your headphones. Obviously that atmosphere.

Speaker 3 (04:14):
Travis Scott was at Wallis Fargo Center and we were
down on the mos pit.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
It's crazy.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
That was the crazy. I understand how people died years later. Yeah,
that is the craziest oscre I mean people like it's
it's just wrestling out there. People are just pushing.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Especial those are ying. Those are young boys.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you are a little crazier. Let's just
put it that way. So uh, I bring it up because, yeah,
yacht rock is fresh on my mind and I do
some DJing from time to time. I'm putting together a
yacht rock mix. I'm gonna have that ready to go
for consumption coming up here. We're gonna catch you this summer.

Speaker 2 (04:50):
I want to go to it. I'll be uh. I'm
going to be in and out.

Speaker 3 (04:52):
I was yelling and complained about my financials a little
earlier to say them before the show started, so I
got to do a little bit more uh and and
helping up the bank account. In twenty twenty five, yeah,
it's twenty five with the new baby coming up, so
hopefully I'll be all over the place. But that's what
I'm trying to do down the shore. Look at the
end of the day, I'll see the issue is with
that they have plenty of people lined up for years

(05:14):
and they don't need to add anybody in. So I'm
just looking for spots, like potential places and let.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Me get you at my spot.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
Memories Memories and market Memories and market just open just
last but it reopen last year.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
So it used to be an old head vibe correct
and the music and no young people went. I think
I know who owns it reopens Yeah, yeah, I don't
know the owner. I know a couple of managers there.
I can get you in touch with those guys. That's
they always have great music, great vibe. I think Raged
from Q one O two was involved last summer there.
Oh really yeah, yeah nice? All right, were almost every

(05:48):
Friday Saturday night in the summer.

Speaker 3 (05:49):
So I would like to be every Saturday, Sunday, Friday, Tuesday, whatever.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
I'm ready to do it all this summer.

Speaker 3 (05:56):
And uh yeah, coming up with that yacht rock mix,
a little modern rock, so we're gonna have some fun.
Maybe you'll even hear some Travis Scott, maybe you hear
some lumineers in it, but it's gonna be a fun mix.

Speaker 2 (06:06):
All right.

Speaker 3 (06:06):
Back over the sports Scott sam Ostric from the Score.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
I'm Sean Brace coming up at five o'clock.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
We're gonna run three wide talk some NBA picks and roll.
That's our NBA podcast, myself, scham Bernard and Sam Ostriy.

Speaker 2 (06:17):
We do it live on Thursdays.

Speaker 3 (06:19):
I like it, I love it, and we'll continue to
do that coming up here a little bit later. If
you're just tuning in, or you were working all day
and you're just getting in your car, whatever it may be,
haven't had an opportunity to check your timeline. The significant
news item of the day Cooper Flag number one overall pick.
Let's just remove the potential he will be the number

(06:39):
one overall pick and the upcoming NBA draft goes down
with a significant injury. In the first half of the
Duke Georgia Tech Games. Is how it sounded three No good.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
Cooper Flagg has the rebound after the misshot by Jada Mousta.

Speaker 2 (06:52):
Oh that's not good. Flag is down.

Speaker 1 (06:54):
Not good, flag is down, and laying on his stomach
now rolls to his back under the back Le's get
on the right side he went high for the rebound, landed.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
He's holding his left ankle. He wants help to the bench,
show my goodness.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
Well, in the immediate moment, it looks less than ideal
because he couldn't put weight on it at first. Now
he's put his left foot on the floor and is
trying to put some weight on the left leg. But
he is limping and heavily limping as he comes off
the floor.

Speaker 3 (07:23):
Yeah, and he would have to get wheeled to the
X ray room and in a wheelchair.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
Cooper flag.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
Though X rays came back negative, Shire spoke to the
media after the game said that essentially X rays came
back negative. They need some time to do some further evaluations,
swelling going down, et cetera. Sam and I were talking
about the significance the you know, the importance of playing
these conference tournament games. Do they really mean anything? Again,

(07:52):
this is revision, It's history, no doubt about it. Monday morning, quarterback,
Thursday here, whatever you want to say. But it's something
that I know will be discussed and something in the
new world that we live in with the nil, the
portal and all the above, I think that maybe the
approach might be a little bit different for players of substance.
Moving forward again, that's Cooper Flag. It's a huge deal

(08:13):
for Duke.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
Fast forward though, Sam bringing people up the date.

Speaker 3 (08:17):
Here, you and I were discussing the outlook or the
approach for Duke with Cooper this upcoming week. Now we
are pretty much in agreement. He won't play tomorrow. The
ACC tournament will be done for Cooper Flag. Now it's
Thursday and Friday for the first round ones versus sixteen.
Duke will be a one seed. So therefore you're not

(08:39):
in any rush, correct, am I putting words in your mouth?
You're not in any rush to get Cooper Flagg back
for that one to sixteen.

Speaker 2 (08:44):
Correct, that's right.

Speaker 3 (08:45):
It's probably just not worth it because you're playing sixteen seed.

Speaker 2 (08:48):
I think the sixteen seed may matter.

Speaker 4 (08:50):
I mean, the Duke will have a good idea of
the sixteen seed they get drawn up. Again, some are
better than others, like some will be able to compete
and some are just outright downright horrible. And Duke will
have a good sense of that. But you don't want
to rush him back like he's gonna be playing on
a hobbled ankle regardless when he comes back assuming he
does at some point.

Speaker 2 (09:09):
I mean, there is his possibility he's just done.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
Like he's done until maybe like the final four, and
then if they somehow get there without him, which.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
Don't know, you're unlikely, yep.

Speaker 4 (09:17):
But for from my standpoint, it's you're gonna sit him
in that one sixteen game and they're gonna see how
that ankle progress, and you would hope obviously they're gonna
hope for that Friday Sunday now and maybe the committee
will give it to him, but they're gonna hope for
that Friday Sunday game to delay it as much as possible.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
You're probably gonna send him for that Friday game.

Speaker 4 (09:34):
You're gonna see how that ankle progresses throughout next week,
constant treatment, and when he comes back in that round
of thirty two, most likely he's gonna be hobbled.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
But that's probably when I think we're gonna see him
next all.

Speaker 3 (09:45):
Right, So that's the big news ISEMA of to day.
Of course, Cooper flag, we'll see what happens. As far
as the swelling is concerned. I gotta get that down MRI.
I will be ordered and then take it from there.
But I would assume that Duke is probably saying, look,
we'll be all right in that one six team matchup.
But to Julian Edlow's point, and if I could real
quick pull up the bracketology as far as seating is concerned,

(10:08):
that one eight, one nine matchup could potentially be a
little bit different of an approach for Duke. You can't
look past anybody. Hell, Virginia lost.

Speaker 2 (10:17):
One sixteen to anybody else, lose one sixteen.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
Yeah, Perdue, that was one sixteen. Perdue lost one sixteen.
Then two years ago, the last year they went to
the championship.

Speaker 2 (10:26):
That's correct. That is correct.

Speaker 4 (10:27):
So when you lose one sixteen, you have pretty great
success the year after.

Speaker 2 (10:31):
That's true.

Speaker 3 (10:32):
As far as bracketology is concerned, with those eight to
nine seeds, you do have some good teams, and I
know that we were talking about.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Potentially Yukon could be one of those teams. Creighton.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
I'll just give it to you this way currently right now,
Joe Lonardi, ESPN dot Com, Marquette Baylor eight nine, Mississippi State,
Creighton eight nine. Down there, we are going Memphis, Georgia
eight nine, and then Yukon, New Mexico eight nine. Yeah,
that's a young duke team. Those are tough eight nine. Yeah, tough,

(11:03):
I mean Creighton's I think they're still underrated. So you
see Duke Creighton without Cooper Flag, maybe a hobbled Cooper
Flag who's nursing that ankle.

Speaker 2 (11:12):
That's an interesting matchup, all right.

Speaker 3 (11:15):
Is there a team that you have your eye on?
Because I know if I asked Beef this question, he
would say, Oklahoma. I think he's been pumping the Sooners
on the timeline for the last two three weeks. Of course,
they had a big come from behind victory against Georgia.
I didn't think that they were gonna get that last night,
so they deserve credit. There is there a team in
your mind that you're eyeing up right now that could

(11:35):
potentially play the role of spoiler or maybe you're gonna
lean a little bit. Again, we need to have the
bracket in our hands. But look, if there's a team
that you like, you know you're gonna have them advancing
in the bracket. You're gonna have him get into the
Sweet sixteen Elite eight. Is there a team that you
have your eye on right now besides Maryland? Yeah, of
course Maryland, but that'll uh, they should be on the

(11:57):
four seed line.

Speaker 2 (11:58):
I kind of like Illinois.

Speaker 4 (12:00):
Little bit in terms of a team that could come
onto the scene. They won three straight to finish the
regular season. They look much better, and when they went
through that Lowell oiler this year, they're without some key guys,
like they faced a lot of illness and a lot
of injuries, including to Will Riley, one of their bigs
this year, so he was out for a decent stretch.
Some other guys were out for a decent stretch. Illinois's
playing much better down the stretch. They play Iowa today

(12:21):
in the Big Ten tournament, and the winner of that
game will actually play Maryland tomorrow night at six point thirty.
So I obviously hope Maryland beats it, assuming it'll be
Illinois tomorrow night. But I think this Illinois team could
make do some damage in the tournament where let's see
where they're projected right now, they're on the sixth seed
line like this, as a sixth seed, they could upset
a three seed, and you could see this team in

(12:42):
the sweet sixteen, potentially one of those lower seeded teams
that makes a deep run. Maybe even I have to
say the brack comes out, but I'm thinking Illinois could
make a Final Four run because I'm I just think
this team is playing better and there always been a
really talented team. They were just missing guys and suffered
a lot of illness throughout the year where they went
through some lolls and had some bad losses in the

(13:04):
Big Ten. But I think this Illinois team is pretty
good if you're looking for one of these teams that's
not being talked about, like like some of these higher
caliber programs.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
All right, Yeah, Illinois is definitely a team that Beef
has his eye on. I caught Illinois a few times
this year. You're right about the injuries. I did see
them smash pennch State in a game that I had
Illinois that was earlier in the year. They're all earlier
in the year at this point in time.

Speaker 4 (13:25):
But for the last two wins over the regular season
the regularly were perdue. They beat Purdue last game of
the season, yeah, and then they beat Michigan, and Michigan
obviously has been been bad the final two three weeks
of the season, but that's still one of the better
teams in the Big Ten. So this Illinois team is
playing really better, gaining confidence heading at the postseason.

Speaker 3 (13:43):
You know what, I'm not a fan of what's that
peacock and streaming games on peacock.

Speaker 2 (13:47):
Yeah, it's been annoying, you know. And I have it.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
I have it specifically for football or for soccer. Listening
to me for soccer, No, for football football. Yeah, you
know why I had peacock in the beginning. Actually I
thought I even have mine, and I use a friend's account.
Eagles first game in the season was on Peacock. This true,
the Brazil game. So that's the only reason why I
even took got someone's account.

Speaker 1 (14:07):
Uh.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
Yeah, it's annoying, just because it's it's way harder to
get to correct. We have Markutt and Xavier right now,
eighty four eighty twenty seconds to go in the second half. There,
it's frustrating you win seeing Wake Forest though, currently got
ourselves a ball game down in Charlotte, Wake up by
one in this one here, I think Wake was a
seven point dog. I believe UNC was seven point favorites

(14:30):
in this one. So here we are right now, seven
fifty two to go. Hopefully had the under in this
one still not over, don't get me wrong, but as
far as un se maybe looking past Wake Wake playing
above their their level right here, right now. With what
you read on this game, of course we're live, you
haven't been able to pay attention. But are you surprised
with Wake currently leading?

Speaker 2 (14:50):
Yeah? I don't think Wake is very good.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
They were on the bubble team, but on the wrong
side of the bubble, and they would have had to
make They will have to make a huge run in
the ACC tournament, probably all the way to the championship.

Speaker 2 (15:00):
To make the tournaments.

Speaker 4 (15:01):
They're on the next four outline, so whenever UNC will
certainly help, then they would play Duke next round. And
so obviously if they beat UNC and Duke back to back,
Wake Forest might play themselves into this tournament. But I
have not been impressed with Wake most of this year,
so I'm pretty surprised that they're up one on UNC
with seven minutes ago. Maybe UNC got that Cooper flag
news and got a little too excited.

Speaker 3 (15:23):
Could be, could be, We'll see again. A lot of
best basketball to be played down there. With seven forty
two to go, currently, Wake Forest up by one, twenty
one and ten on the season, twenty one and twelve
for UNC.

Speaker 2 (15:35):
All right, let's talk about some games that we have
coming up this evening. Let's stay local. Temple and Tulsa.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
Temple three and a half point favorites, Tulsa twelve and
nineteen on the season, seventeen and fourteen for the Owls.
They're three and a half point favorites.

Speaker 2 (15:49):
In this one.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
And then we got Saint Jose and Lasal Saint Jose
a monster twelve and a half point favorite. That game
is going off at seven thirty, Tulsa and Temple at
seven pm. Your thoughts on both of those games? You
got any leans, any action, sam Ostria.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
Yeah, I like Temple.

Speaker 4 (16:04):
I'm on Temple minus three and a half over Tulsa.
This will be the third time they played each other
this season. They Temple just beat Tulsa towards the end
of the regular season, so that was a big time
win for Temple. This is the seven to ten matchup,
but Temple actually lost to Tulsa earlier this year.

Speaker 3 (16:19):
I just think Temple's the better team. You know, it's
only three and a half.

Speaker 4 (16:22):
I'm gonna take the points when you're going on a
neutral site better team. Remember, Temple won four straight games
last year. They were one of the worst teams in
the AAC last year. They won four straight to make
it to the AAC Final against UAB and they had
a chance to make the March Madness Tournament if they
won that game, and they obviously lost in that AAC final,
but they made it all the way to Sunday. So
this staff, same staff, Adam Fisher was his first year

(16:45):
last year. They know what it takes to go on
these on these stretches and win a few games in
a row. And so I think it starts today with
Tulsa and they have a pretty good bracket moving forward.
They couldn't make another run. I just think Temple is
the better team than Tulsa. So if it's three and
a half, I'm gonna take Temple there. Moving on to
the South, Saint Jose's going me be the fourth time. Uh,
these teams play the fourth I believe St. Jose lasal

(17:07):
before fourth time.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
And they played.

Speaker 3 (17:08):
They played in the Big five and then twice in
the A ten schedule.

Speaker 2 (17:12):
To see them in the Big five. Were you there
for that game? Was I there for that game? I
went to the Big Five?

Speaker 4 (17:18):
No, I wasn't, because I saw Villain, I saw Villanova
and Temple the Big Five. Yeah, but that was the
only game I actually stayed for, and I think they
might have been later in that day, but I can't remember.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
It was so long ago. It was that December.

Speaker 4 (17:30):
Yeah, so, But the thing about is Saint Joe's dominated
Lasal the first two matchups. They won by double digits
both times. But these two teams played on Saturday this
past Saturday. Saint Joe's was a ten and a half
point favorite and Lasal won outright. But the thing about
that game was that was fran Dunfi's last game at
all at home for LaSalle, so it was a whole
big ceremony pregame. It was obviously an emotional game, good atmosphere.

(17:55):
So Lasal won outright. Is a double digit underdog, but
that was a different type of game because Frank Dunfi's
last game the end of the regular season, the last
regular season game for both of these teams. Saint Jones
is the way better team. Twelve and a half is
a really big line, but when you saw a normal
games earlier this year, Saint Jose covered this number twice.
So I don't know if I'm really gonna lie this.

(18:17):
Saint Jones is one of the most talented teams in
the A ten, but the record doesn't really say that
Saint Joe's gonna win the ball game. I'm not going
to touch the number.

Speaker 3 (18:25):
All right, we will continue talking college hoops. We'll get
over to the NBA in a five o'clock hour. I
do want to bring some sad news. We had a
sports calumnist that had a hell of a career passed
away at the age of sixty nine. John Feinstein passed away,
one of you know, look a guy that made a
huge name for himself covering all things sports.

Speaker 2 (18:45):
Washington Post comments, Yeah, for I mean, he was doing
crazy radio hits.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
He was all over the place, and yeah, passed away
at the age of sixty nine. And his brother told
The Washington Post last night he was most like widely
known for his coverage of college basketball, golf, college football,
the Olympics. He wrote for Golf Digest, freaking contributor to

(19:10):
a variety of radio programs, with a regular stint on
National Public Radio NPR. Yeah, I used to hear him
all the time and been like, he's a little too
dry for my taking. But he's one of those guys
old school that like, hey, man, if he's got something
to say, you gotta listen.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
You gotta pull up.

Speaker 3 (19:27):
And one of the great sports reporters that I know
I had growing up and definitely valued his opinion and
read some of his work and said, sixty nine years old,
that's that's a little early there, So rest in peace,
John Feinstein. All right, moving on, let's keep it moving here,
Daily Ticket, Sam oustre Sean Brace, we're gonna come back.

(19:48):
We'll reset the table, we'll talk a little. NBA will
jab at that, because we did have a big time
ending last night out there in the Pacific Northwest. I
got some sound of Mike kel Bridges speaking of Villanova.
Mike kel Bridge is hitting a game winner. Sam Austri
has a big take as far as what Bridge's importance
is to the New York Knicks, and he'll dig a

(20:09):
little bit deeper into that. Also, I want to have
a little fun with you, Sam during the commercial break.

Speaker 2 (20:13):
You're ready.

Speaker 3 (20:16):
Dating back to the year two thousand, since you're a
young whipper snap.

Speaker 2 (20:22):
Was even born that year. But alright, how about.

Speaker 3 (20:24):
It, so you get twenty four, twenty five years to
choose from. I want to starting five college basketball since
two thousand, Okay, all right, starting five from two thousand.
How many Villanova players will make make that starting five.
That's a good question. I mean when you win two championships. Yeah,
there's one that comes to mind for sure. Absolutely, he's

(20:45):
pretty damn good. And that was obviously off of Mikel
Bridges there hitting the game winner out in the Pacific Northwest.
This daily ticket will fire up draftings, sportsbooks start talking
about some of the numbers that matter.

Speaker 2 (20:55):
Also need to update the world of golf.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
Yeah, TP see happening right here right now, we'll go
down to the leaderboard, coming to the some of the
odds as well. Great stuff yesterday with the creator classic
nice work by the folks at YouTube and PGA Tour.
You know, we could all sit here and say that
we don't like having those people that participated.

Speaker 2 (21:14):
That's fine.

Speaker 3 (21:15):
It's a hater a world we live in, especially in
the content game. But man, just from the fund that
it brought, I think like golf now more than ever
could use a little bit more of that front and
center for everybody out there. And you know these tournaments
they start on Thursday. Yeah, I get it. Sponsorships a
lot of money to be made Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and

(21:37):
you get people that are paying or that represent those
companies that are playing.

Speaker 2 (21:41):
Maybe we could mix this in a little bit because I.

Speaker 3 (21:43):
Think it would be good for the tour, good for
all things golf and swinging and diing it do a
great job covering golf.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
Love to get.

Speaker 3 (21:49):
Moose out there, Amze playing in a content creator classic.
Love to see that one. Anyways, Daily Ticket more after this,

(22:17):
Hey now, Daly, take it with you. Roll Ive coming
up five o'clock, just ten minutes away. Sam Austrey Chambernard
and I will be to maestro leading the charge with
these two brilliant basketball minds. It's an hour edition of
Picks and Roll Live All Things NBA, Big, Big topics

(22:38):
of discussion. Your big takeaway from last night's Celtics and
Oklahoma City Thunder game where the Thunder were able to
come out with that victory on the road against Boston
two and a half point.

Speaker 2 (22:48):
Dog's nice win there to say, the least injuries.

Speaker 3 (22:52):
Of course, topic of mind when we start talking about
teams that could potentially make a run come here in
the next month.

Speaker 2 (22:58):
We got some Sixers news.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
Unfortunately, we need to break down Paul George Lee looking
at Terry Smaxy not playing Darryl Moury's comments more and
more bothered me. We got a lot to discuss coming
up in the five o'clock hour, but I promise you this,
there's more nuts and bolts with our discussion. We talk
about things that matter, points, spread odds, We fire up draftings,
sportsbook and when we look at it through that lens,

(23:22):
the hot take, the you know, the blow vy and
that sort of thing. We could pass on and leave
it for another day. But the Daryl Mory stuff, I
don't know. Man, Like I'm just so sick of everything sixers.
So it's like he could go out there and go
it's a beautiful day in the Philadelphia blue sky, and
I'd be like, shut up, Darryl. Right, Yeah, It's funny
because the Sloan Conference.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
I actually thought about going this year and it's where
was it at? It's in Boston every year.

Speaker 2 (23:47):
Okay, And sorry that me. I didn't know where the
Slow Conference was. How do you not know where the
Sloan Conference is? You're not a nerd? Get a demograph?

Speaker 3 (24:00):
Isn't necessarily me as far as what's going on. It's
actually one of the panels was to have nerds ruined basketball.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
Yeah, that was the name of one of the big panels.
But the point is sports.

Speaker 4 (24:13):
Yeah, I think it was sports basketball sports nerds ruined sports.

Speaker 3 (24:17):
I don't think anybody's ruined anything. I just think there's
a little bit more to it, too much emphasis in
one direction. But it's really just the emphasis on analytics
is what they were talking about.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
Correct.

Speaker 4 (24:26):
But the point is that he really hadn't talked all
year dere Morey except for that one press conference that
he gave.

Speaker 2 (24:30):
Can't miss the Sloan conference. That gotta be up there
with my fellow nerds. It's a good Deren Moory impression.

Speaker 3 (24:40):
So so so he he was going to do the
slow conference, but he really hadn't made public comments.

Speaker 4 (24:48):
But he had to because he does panels every single year.
He's on a lot of them, so you know who's
going to be talking about the six ersion some capacity.
So I was waiting for something, but I didn't think
it was gonna be this. I think it was gonna
be him, just.

Speaker 2 (25:00):
Not No, it was a joke crashing I don't think.
I don't think it was a joke. I think it
was dead serious. There was truth behind it. It was
said tongue in cheek. Yes, yes, there's a truth to
every Joe.

Speaker 4 (25:10):
Absolutely, yes, he knew what he was saying and he
believes that that is he wrong. Though, Hey, I don't
know if anger is the right word. They're not driven
by anger. They're driven by passion and emotion. Emotion has
only been anger last yeah, last seasons. But they're not
driven by anger. They're driven by emotion. The emotion has

(25:30):
been anger because of how things have ended, how things
have gone last few seasons, well to me, and I
guess we'll talk about it later.

Speaker 2 (25:37):
But I don't know how he possibly didn't understand the
difference between the next series and the Celtics. Yeah, but
we'll get into that. Yeah. I like that nice little
teas there.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
That's coming to you right five o'clock shop. And I
was gonna joins some just a quick minute. Al right,
here's here's the deal, though, exercise we just have fun with.
Of course, college basketball front and center for us right here,
right now. Nobody does the madness look at the screen,
Nobody does the madness like.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
Us here on the game.

Speaker 3 (25:59):
Or we got great basketball mines when it comes to
the college hardwood, we got young college basketball minds. I
had to cut it off, man, I go back, bro
I go back. I go back to the Fab five.
I go back to UNLV. I go back to Kristen
Latonery Grant hill Agay, I go back somewhat. Give me
some of the Syracuse teams in the eighties, mission Glenn Rice.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Now that's probably where I'm gonna stop.

Speaker 3 (26:24):
But at the end of the day, we're all basketball
fans and we know how to pick up a book,
and of course watch the Great Run of NC State
with Alvano. What was that eighty thre I believe it
was on those lines that it was the UNC teams.
Like we can go down and however, for this exercise,
the cutoff is two thousand, and I think that's a
it's a good spot because as you look at the

(26:45):
names that you could choose from my goodness, we've had
a lot of great college basketball players since the year
two thousands. With that, the exercise was give me a
starting five, sam Ostrich from the year two thousand till
right now, if you want to include Cooper Flag, I've
issues with that. A starting five from college basketball since
the year two thousand.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
Your best starting five is what? All right?

Speaker 4 (27:06):
So two locks, it's really hard less honestly, it's really yeah, yeah, challenging.

Speaker 2 (27:11):
Two locks for me.

Speaker 4 (27:13):
Kevin Durant average almost twenty six per game, twenty six
points per game.

Speaker 2 (27:17):
One season, eleven. We're talking about the best player. A
lot of my guys are one season, a lot of my.

Speaker 3 (27:23):
Guys, Yeah, but there was one guy that won something
in one season, and then Kevin Durant did what in
the one season. We're talking about the player that he
was in college, he was one of the best players.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
It's your team. So he average twenty six a game,
it's your team, eleven boards.

Speaker 4 (27:38):
He's a Wooden Award winner, Like, he accomplished more than
one season than most guys have in three or four years.

Speaker 2 (27:44):
So Kevin Durant is my three. Then we're going at
the five.

Speaker 4 (27:47):
Anthony Davis again a Warden Award winner, most outstanding Player,
then say tournament, also a national champion. So so this
guy actually did win in his lone college season, average
around fifth fourteen in a game, almost ten rebounds per game.

Speaker 2 (28:03):
Almost five blocks per game.

Speaker 4 (28:05):
Yep, he was a defensive menace and he went number
one for for good reason. He's mostly lived up to
that hype in the NBA.

Speaker 3 (28:12):
Give me other three and sixty seconds, all right, so
other three and six seconds.

Speaker 2 (28:15):
I was trying to work through it.

Speaker 4 (28:16):
JJ Reddicks at my two, JJ Redgs at my two
average almost twenty a game, an award winner, phenomenal career,
obviously four year player. My number one. I was between
Jalen Brunson and Steph Curry. I'm gonna go Brunson just
because of the two time champion. Obviously the second championship,
he was way more powers. He won the one award,

(28:37):
First Team ap Al American. His stats aren't as good
because he's good. He wasn't as great when he first
got there, but the career he had, he he was
the epitome of a great scholar.

Speaker 2 (28:47):
Drafted me exactly, So Jalen Brunson.

Speaker 4 (28:50):
And then I'm between Carmelo and Jay Williams. I'll go Mellow, Mellow,
Jalen Brunson, JJ Redick, mellow.

Speaker 3 (28:59):
Kd Anthony Davis. There's only one different player from me
and you.

Speaker 2 (29:04):
Who's that? You said?

Speaker 3 (29:07):
No one year guys, I have mellow, I have mellow,
all phenomenal.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
I almost went Jerry mcnamarys Grant's own, but I passed.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
Uh who look you can make.

Speaker 3 (29:18):
The case Garry McK was a great point guard, all right,
Brunson is my PG the two I mean between Jimmerfredd
or Steph Curry. Steph, I understand, but Jimmer was a
lot more of a cultural moment and electricity. Steph was
defin better playing mellow at my three? Yeah, five is

(29:38):
Anthony Davis? Yeah, nobody better. And then I'm going Hansbrough. Yeah,
that's the one snub.

Speaker 2 (29:44):
Hansbrough's got to be at my four. It's the ones.

Speaker 3 (29:46):
And I wanted to hate him, and I did hate
him because I wasn't a U n C fan, but
my goodness, he was.

Speaker 2 (29:52):
He was a beast. Katie was the better player that
lone year.

Speaker 4 (29:55):
But Hansborough's career, it's hard to argue that he was
the one snub.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
Who's your coach? Oh, I guess it's gotta be coach K.
I'm going Jay Wright. Yeah, I don't. I would argue.
I wouldn't argue.

Speaker 4 (30:06):
I love Jay Wright, but it's gotta be coach K Holston.
Consideration that Roy Williams Beheim, Beheim, He's.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
Only won one.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
That's true, Bill self maybe self, Yeah, definitely, Tom.

Speaker 2 (30:17):
It's gotta be k It's gotta be k, right, really, cats.

Speaker 3 (30:21):
Ricky Potino, all right, sam Ostre's how you with us
for another hour? We're gonna shift gears again. On over
to the pros. Let's talk some NBA and the other side.
It's picks and roll Sean Bernard, sam Ostri, myself. We're
running free wide. If you got an NBA question, fire it.
We're streaming on all platforms. You hit us up in
the comments of course, live on socials at Fox PHL Gambler.

(30:43):
Love to get you involved. Odds, Big picture conversation, sixers,
little focus on the seventy six ers. There are some
there is two pieces of news out there that focus
on the sixers, so we will tackle them on the
other side.

Speaker 2 (30:56):
