Speaker 1 (00:00):
Number one on your car radio preset hand then new
and improved. Iheard radio w W two seven three D
Philadelphia is Fox Sports Radio the Gambler.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
And a good afternoon, everybody.
Speaker 1 (00:13):
Darely take it with you, rolling live here midwek edition,
Sean Brace riding solo for now.
Speaker 2 (00:19):
We got a lot to discuss in those sports. Well,
the madness it's almost here. Some might say that the
madness starts.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
To comfort forward action. I would not go down that
path at this point in time, not trying to poo
poo anything we have on our plates at this point
in time. No, no, no, no, no no. I'm enjoying
the college action. I'm enjoying the games that are happening,
whether it's Iowa State getting the parties started bright and
(00:49):
early this afternoon, or we're heading down as far as
acc action sec. We got college hoops front and center.
Don't give a damn if it's sixteen and fifteen Georgia
Tech taking out Virginia or Rice versus Charlotte in.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
The AAC.
Speaker 1 (01:16):
South Cack in Arkansas, doesn't matter. What a great time
of year, tremendous, so many games to choose from a
lot of close action, tight ball, games, good defense being played,
bad shooting, combination of everything. Let's call those hogs.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Love it.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Great time of year of course, March Madness, Selection Sunday
coming our way on Sunday. We got the TPC over
there in the world of the PGA Tour, free agency
in the NFL, Major League Baseball with spring training, didn't
even talk about Garrett Cole. Good grief, we haven't even
gotten to that point as far as this week is concerned.
(02:02):
Unbelievable with so much that's been on our plates, but
rightfully so, because again, like I said, you lay out
the big stories from the day, and that's where you
go ahead and peel the onion back essentially when you
start to do a show. But at the top of
the list is always, will always be the NFL, and
no matter if it's free agency, it is twelve months
(02:23):
a year, three sixty five, and we're always going to
pay attention above and beyond to the world of the NFL.
As far as NBA is concerned, we got some great games,
full slate of action, gag into court, Undraftkings, sportsbook and oh,
by the way, not one versus one, one versus two
one in the West, two in the East. We got
OKC and the Boston Celtics going head to head this evening,
(02:47):
So we'll talk a little bit about that in the
second half of the show here, all right, But we
open up, of course, with the NFL free agency and
we bring it home to Philadelphia because there are some rumors,
there are some people wondering on whether or not Dallas
Scotter will remain a Philadelphia Eagle, and from everything I'm gathering,
it just doesn't feel like it's going to happen. It
(03:10):
feels like this will be a move to free up
some money. Ultimately, you know, when you sign a J. Brown,
DeVonta Smith, Jalen her it's Lane Johnson under contract, you know,
Zach Bond.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
You can't pay everybody, and.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
The writing will be on the wall and some tough
decisions are going to have to be made.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
And that's where we're at right now with Howie Roseman.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
I can't sit here and tell you that this guy
is going to hit a home run on everything, but
I do believe he deserves every bit of an opportunity
to have or to do what he needs since he's
fit to put the best team together. Because he's been
able to do that over the past few seasons since
he's been in.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
Charge of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
And whether it's trading, can he Pickett at this point
in time for dtr whether or not he can make
the team, or given Barkley the extension when he was
under contract.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Again, like, these.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
Are the things that Howie Roseman has to take inventory on.
And it's a lot easier said than done. But you're
talking about agents, You're talking about personalities, you're talking about
locker rooms, you're talking about captains, players that should have
a little bit more pull sway on the team. These
are tough, tough decisions to be made. And oh, by
the way, you have to come underneath the number. And
(04:30):
on top of that, you have to put a team
together that can compete to win another Super Bowl. The
bar has never been higher. And also, I will add
other teams continue to get better. And that's where we're
going to focus a little bit today as far as
the division is concerned. But the big one is the
Pittsburgh Steelers for us right now, the big one yesterday
slash today. Obviously it is Dallas gott are nothing breaking
(04:54):
just yet as far as that is concerned. But there
are people trying to read the tea leaves. We'll see
what happens as far as that is concerned. Kenneth Gainwell,
come on down, getting a starting opportunity, getting an opportunity
to at least get more reps with the Pittsburgh Steelers,
and we'll see what he's able to do. As far
as what's Pittsburgh's belief in Kenneth gained Well, who you know. Look,
(05:14):
he's only been in the league for a few seasons.
He's twenty five twenty six years old tops, and every
time that he's gotten opportunity, he's made the most of it. No,
I'm not gonna sit here and say that Kenneth Gainwell
could be a number one back in the NFL. I
would not go as far to say that. There are
people that have put their name on that that that
(05:34):
statement though, and specifically last year before Saquon Barkley was signed,
there were people out there banging the drum for Gainwell.
That's a guy you need to give an opportunity. I'm
not gonna sit here and tell you that we learned
what we need to know because of how he did
signing Saquon Barkley. No, No, I wouldn't do that at all.
(05:55):
I would say that Saquon Barkley is one of the best,
if not the best running back in the game. Hobby
Roseman saw an opportunity to bring him in and it
was the right move. But if you were to ask
me again, game weell as one. I just don't see
that now. Is he a good piece to have on
your offense? Absolutely sawid third down back. As far as receptions,
(06:19):
I don't really remember Gainwell being that good out of
the backfield.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
I mean again, I'm sure he had a couple of catches,
but nothing too crazy. But Gainwell is very shifty.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
He's a guy that that seems to have a good
head on his shoulders. I thought he was okay with
pass blocking or else, he would not have been out
there in those spots. And when he had to give
Sakawa Barkley a blow, like he stepped up and he
could carry the ball, you know, ten times if you
need him in a game, he could carry the ball
one time and still stay locked in. Like there's some
(06:50):
positives with Kenneth Gainwell bringing him into Pittsburgh. So I'm intrigued.
I'm intrigued what the Steelers have in store for Kenneth Gainwell,
we'll see how that one plays out. But ultimately that
was the big movie yesterday, a little bit yesterday and
of course into today from the Eagles perspective, who have
already taken a hit and then some on the defensive
side of the ball. Now, what will happen after losing
(07:13):
you know, all these pieces and then if you're going
to top on Dallas Godder and I'll keep you update
on anything and everything that does happen, whether or not
Dallas Goddter.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
Eventually we'll get moved.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
But there's a lot of rumors whether or not Dallas
Godder will remain with the Philadelphia Eagles. And you know,
I'm looking at looking at headlines now. Eagles face pivotal
decision about Dallas Gotta with a fifty seven million dollars
contract looming as trade rumors swirl amid the NFL frenzy.
Oh yeah, that's an AI headline anytime you're at in
(07:46):
amid NFL frenzy. Yeah, that's absolutely a an AI headline there.
But whatever, let's see if this is an AI article.
I don't even know. This is mataclismo, Yeah, yeah, yeah,
this is an AI article.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
Through and through listen to this the Philadelphia team. That's
how it starts.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
The Philadelphia team has already made a significant roster adjustment.
Speaker 2 (08:13):
Oh that's great. Let's just I just wanted to contract numbers,
that's all.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
With one, you're remaining on a four year, fifty seven
million dollar contract.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
I always wonder what that number was.
Speaker 1 (08:23):
All right, he's got one year with this four year deal,
and I like Dallas.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
I want to see Dallas back.
Speaker 1 (08:29):
Dallas is a little injury prone, right, And I know
people hate when you say that. I'm not trying to
predict the future, but he does pick up a few knocks.
Speaker 2 (08:37):
Not to say that.
Speaker 1 (08:37):
Every tightand or you know, any and every Titan won't,
but that is definitely something that comes to my mind.
If we're talking about some issues with Dallas gott At remaining,
I would love to have him back.
Speaker 2 (08:52):
And it would be.
Speaker 1 (08:52):
Great if Dallas Goddter said, you know what, man, I'm
willing to take a little bit of a cut because
I want to stay here and keep it going. But
I have no issues with Dallas Goddter. It's saying, hey, look,
pay me or get me out of here, because you
only got one opportunity as far as the NFL is concerned,
to really cash in and get that big time deal.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
And he's a thirty years old right now.
Speaker 1 (09:16):
Last season he had forty two graves four in ninety
six yards. Season before fifty nine for five sixty two,
three touchdowns, two touchdowns, good blocking tight end. Again, you're
gonna have Grant Calcatara on the roster. It's one of
those deals where, look, you've gotten a lot from Dallas.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
Dallas was a second round pick at twenty eighteen.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
You know, so if you can sit here and say
and look at Jeffrey Lorie or any of your people
in the war room and say, hey, man, we got
seven great years from Dallas Goddard seven years, ten games
are sixteen games his rookie season fifteen eleven, fifteen twelve,
fourteen to ten last year, you know you got seven
(10:00):
in great seasons from Dallas Godder. It's time to cut
bait and move on and see what else is out there.
I have no issues with that whatsoever. It is a
tough pill to swallow for Eagles fans, though, it just
is this team is completely resetting on a few key spots.
(10:20):
With the fifty three man depth chart, fifty three man roster,
and we have to be patient. It was put out
there by Howie Roseman saying, hey, look we're going to
go through things. I need this team, I need these
fans to be patient. And he's earned every bit of that.
So I think Eagles fans need to realize that, look,
(10:41):
going through a few things at this point in time,
some changes will be made, but all in all, the
bread and butter is still there. From Jalen Hurts, aj Brown,
DeVonta Smith offensive line, Sakwon Barkley coaching staff, and over
into the secondary. You got those two young rookies, well
(11:04):
no longer rookies, but two young studs, and Quinyon and
Gooper Red blanket Ship has played well up front, Nolan Smith,
Nikobe Dean not going anywhere, Zach Bond staying, Jordan Davis
still here. You know you're gonna have to fill in
some of those big time spots on the defensive line.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
But like we've always.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
Said, like you got to give Howie Roseman a benefit
of doubt, well I think you have to do that
to do. Same with Vic Fangio as well. I really do,
because that is the main piece to this puzzle, right
here and for the people that were pitching. And then
goes back to the conversation we had a little bit
yesterday where I talked about CJGJ no longer being in
the in the Eagles building, and look what happened the
(11:47):
year that he wasn't here. Well, there was a big
difference from that season to this season, if we're going
to compare, and that is the defensive coordinators, the coaching staff.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
As a whole, a little bit different, a little bit different.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
So, look, Kenneth Gainwell ends up with the Pittsburgh Steelers
and Najee Harris will be out. I don't know if
they're going to continue to make some moves bringing in
some other players. They also have Cordell Patterson under contract.
I don't know if Kenny Gainwell can be your one
(12:22):
and only.
Speaker 2 (12:26):
I don't, oh know.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
Jalen Warren's on that squad too, So my fault, Jaleen
Warren is out there, that's correct. So Jalen Warren is
with the Steelers, so it'll be game Well and Warren.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
And that's right. Warren played well, I'll give that to him.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
Last year fifteen games, one hundred and twenty carries five
to eleven one touchdown limited the season before, seventeen games,
seven under and eighty four yards offense as a whole
just really up in the air when it comes to
the Steelers, and.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
That's why it's probably their best interest to go ahead.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
You know, since we're on the Steelers what they're going
to do at the quarterback position, And that's a big
question when it comes to free agency.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Where is Aaron Rodgers gonna go?
Speaker 1 (13:05):
And what I would say to that is if Aaron
Rodgers wants to come back. Though he listened to me
from the beginning, I didn't think Aaron Rodgers was as
bad as people are making him out to me, and I.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Don't think anybody should second guess. I want to do
two things here.
Speaker 1 (13:21):
One, I'm not trying to say Rogers was great. That's
number one. Let's put that front and center. But we
also have to believe and realize that nobody's gonna say
anything worth the damn positive about Aaron Rodgers from everything
he brings to the table, he's not liked. His personality
is smug, very arrogant, very confident, and it's fun to
(13:44):
kick a man when he's down, especially when he's been
pretty successful.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
Like Rodgers has before mvpiece, but he brings.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
It upon himself. He wears that bulls eye in the
back and we understand it. But last year twenty eight
touchdowns to eleven interceptions, sixty three percent completion of percentage
for over thirty eight hundred yards. First season back after
the injury, there was a lot there like do we
really think that the Jets are gonna be successful? I
know I did not. Should they have been better? Absolutely,
(14:12):
but that was a disaster from start to finish. And
now here we are with the Pittsburgh Steelers. What I
would say is, look at what Tomlin has been able
to do with Drek at the quarterback position. Is Aaron
Rodgers a bump up from Russell Wilson and what they
were able to get at the quarterback position last year?
Speaker 2 (14:34):
I believe he could be. Is he?
Speaker 1 (14:37):
If you add if you made me give you a
yes or no statement answer on that, I would say yes,
and I believe he will be. But ultimately, Mike Tomlin,
Arthur Smith, that squad as a whole will come up
with a plan and at bare minimum we'll finish five hundred.
As they often flirt around, and I would say from
(15:01):
the looking at the future of that division.
Speaker 2 (15:05):
The Baltimore Rivens are going to win that division.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
The Pitts or the Cincinnati Bengals are going to be
the runner ups in that division. You're fighting for a
wildcard spot. And I do believe that Aaron Rodgers as
a quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers could very well could
very well make them again a wildcard team with potentially
(15:30):
a shot at winning that wildcard matchup.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
Which we never gave them any bit of an a
doubt or any shot to do so this season. Now,
we do know.
Speaker 1 (15:39):
That Aaron Rodgers likes to jump out with Pat McAfee.
They have that partnership, they have that relationship, they have
that whatever it may be he's getting paid, don't know,
don't care, but McAfee's having that Pittsburgh show. He's doing
this special Pittsburgh show in Pittsburgh. And I would just
imagine want it to be funny if Aaron Rodgers came
(15:59):
walking out there as you know, the new quarterback for
the Pittsburgh Steelers. And we'll see what happens as far
as that is concerned. Pittsburgh could very well end up
with Aaron Rodgers four time MVP, ten time Pro Bowler,
(16:20):
seventh most yards in NFL history, fifth most touchdowns in
league history. And that's probably gonna bring some excitement because
they've been able to do some things as far as
DK Metcalf, Kenned came, well, of course Darius Slay.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
Whether that's already done or not, who knows. We'll see
what happens.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
But something to keep our eye on as far as
NFL free agency is concerned. All right, one more of
those NFL and that's bo. So we talked about Joey Bosa.
Where was he gonna end up? Five time Pro bowler,
nine years and all in LA with the Chargers, and
he finally found a spot. He's heading to the Buffalo Bills.
And all I know is, I think that's that's a
(16:59):
pretty darn good move. Another guy that is, he deals
with a ton of injuries and if you can keep
him healthy, look out. But one year, twelve point six
million dollar deal he signed with the Buffalo Bills to
go and help them on the front line. Excuse me,
(17:23):
if you remember correctly, they weren't able to get after
Patrick Mahomes. They have thirty nine total sacks in twenty
twenty four down from fifty four to twenty twenty three.
Decent as far as takeaways are concerned, but he's just
another body that can get after the quarterback and make
life difficult whoever they're going up against.
Speaker 2 (17:45):
So you have Vaughn.
Speaker 1 (17:50):
Von Miller was in as far as the Buffalo Bills,
big time pass rusher, and he was let go from
the Bills no longer with the Bills, let go on Sunday.
And when you're talking about a guy like Bosa, could
he step right in and fill in as far as
(18:15):
what von Miller was able to do. Now, von Miller
didn't really have that great of a season last year.
He was dealing with a bunch of stuff that he
got suspended. But I think Bosa could come in rejuvenated,
playing on a winning squad and have more of an
impact than Von Miller did.
Speaker 2 (18:36):
I do.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
There's a lot of similarities when you think about both
of those guys, between Vaughn and Joey Bosa. Vaughn was
definitely a much better player in his prime, but Bosa
was a pretty big deal And as far as his
career is concerned, he's got seventy two career sacks, second
in Chargers history pop quiz.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Who's number one on that list? Leslie O'Neill.
Speaker 1 (19:05):
The big knock on him though, has been injury prone,
and he's a guy that's look, you know, when you
talk about the Bosas and you look at what his
brother's doing in San Francisco, he just expect a little
bit more and we'll see if he's able to bring
that for Buffalo. But as far as I'm concerned, that's
a good move. You need bodies, you need bodies, you
(19:25):
need guys get after their quarterback and boast they'll be
able to do exactly that. All right, Keeping a moving
here on Wednesday, We've got a lot to discuss, As
I said, NFL free agency front and center for us
here Aaron Rodgers conversation. They were talking about Minnesota this morning.
You know what, I'm gonna have to tell you that
I got wrong with JJ McCarthy. If he plays well
and he's got Kevin O'Connell as his head coach, he's
(19:45):
got those great receivers.
Speaker 2 (19:47):
If he steps in and.
Speaker 1 (19:48):
Plays well next year, I'm gonna have to eat eat
some words because I was not a big JJ McCarthy fan,
But man, he's getting into a really good spot, giving
them all the time in the world, and they were
trying to float the idea out that possibly Rogers could
go to Minnesota and then hold it down until McCarthy
is ready. I think that is a bad move. Just
go ahead, and if you need to bring in somebody
(20:10):
to start the season off, that's fine, but not Rogers.
Don't do Rogers because you're immediately gonna hand that over
to McCarthy and that would just be too much of
a headache. If Rogers comes out and you're winning games.
Speaker 2 (20:19):
You know, if you're.
Speaker 1 (20:20):
Sam Donald like that last year, picture Sam Donald this year,
his type of season.
Speaker 2 (20:26):
That he had for the Minnesota Vikings.
Speaker 1 (20:27):
Just instead, we're gonna roll Aaron Rodgers as the quarterback
this year and that type of success. Imagine what would
happen if that was the case. Now that's a bad problem.
That's a good problem to have, But no way would
I want that if I was O'Connell. We'll see what happens,
all right, keep you up to date on everything that's
happened in the NFL free agency quick time out on
the other side, stocks some NBA get you caught up
(20:49):
on the madness, and we need to start treating Tiger
Woods like his career is officially done, especially especially at
the news that came out yes yesterday.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
More Daily Ticket pack of for this. All right, welcome
back Fox Sports. Ready to Gambler, Sean Brace with you here.
Speaker 3 (21:05):
Make sure you're follow us on all things socials at
Fox PHL Gambler at Fox PHL Gambler. All right, before
we get into some of the other things that are
happening around the sports world, specifically on the hardwood, let's
start a little real quick about the Champions League.
Speaker 1 (21:24):
Yeah, soccer Barcelona. My goodness, did you see that seventeen
year old kid yesterday? That was ridiculous. He scored a
goal that just had no bit of video game, like
just a video game, and he also had an assist
that was on the money. Kids seventeen years old. For
(21:45):
the people that don't speak the soccer language, I'll.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
I'll skip like the breakdown, but.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
And I don't even speak like that, But my I
was gonna bring up the Euros. If you remember the
Euro's kid scored a banger last year and it came
out of nowhere, and I just remember everybody's saying the
same thing like when I was that age, I was,
you know, and he's playing on a global stage.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
For him to be able to do it he did
it just was pretty damn electric.
Speaker 1 (22:12):
And now you're looking at exactly what he did last
night or yesterday in the Champions League.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
Pretty darn cool there.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
But you know, look, seventeen years old, Skuy's the limit.
You know how it works in soccer. We hear about
these guys and then most of the time they tend
to fade off. But this kid for Barcelona is the
real damn deal. At this point in time, Champions League,
trying to pull up some futures as we do have
some action going off today.
Speaker 2 (22:43):
I'm trying to pull up the futures.
Speaker 1 (22:44):
I apologize, but yeah, the games we.
Speaker 2 (22:48):
Had today are pretty good.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
Arsenal's in action today Aston Villa, Athletico Madrid versus Real Madrid.
That was a good when I was pretty tight minus
one sixty or plus one sixty five plus one fifty five.
But can't pull up the futures. Could We already at
one game in action with Dortmund being played right now.
But Barcelona is definitely one of the favorites to get
the job done, as they are every single year, and
(23:10):
especially with.
Speaker 2 (23:11):
Le mean Yamal.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Yeah, he is seventeen years old and wow, what a
goal yesterday.
Speaker 2 (23:19):
All right over to the herd.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
One, let's talk a little about the NBA and what
we got going off this evening. Man, we got a
battle between Oklahoma City and the Boston Celtics. Now, when
you start to talk about this game and the issues
that jump off right immediately for me is the injuries
and what we have going on with porzingis it's just
(23:43):
so odd where you just don't know what's happening.
Speaker 2 (23:47):
He talked about it's a viral and the doctors.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
Don't know what it is. But all in all, he
was out there warming up. He can't go, so he's
gonna miss today. He hasn't played in a long time.
But when you talk about matchup like this, number one
versus number two and potentially could very well be the
Eastern Conference or it could very well be the NBA Finals,
(24:11):
you know, that's where people start.
Speaker 2 (24:13):
To get a little crazy.
Speaker 1 (24:14):
And I'm not here to argue that these two teams
already matched up back on January fifth. Oklahoma City got
the best of them, one oh five to ninety two,
stayed under the total. There of course, Oklahoma City was
a at that point in time minus one favorite Porzingis
did play in that game, he was He scored nineteen
points in that when Jalen Brown, both Tatum and Brown
(24:35):
did play. Tatum went for twenty six, Brown for twenty one.
Oklahoma City did have Jalen Williams in that game. SGA
went for thirty three. That's a huge difference for tonight.
No Jalen Williams for Oklahoma City. With that being said,
putting that to the side, you're gonna make things a
little difficult on the SGA. So I would tend to
fade on SGA and look else where as far as
(24:58):
the player prop is concerned. Now, I would never tell
you to go under on anything SGA. He's that good.
But maybe we live a little dangerously this evening at
thirty three and a half. Maybe this is a moment
where we say, you know what, I can live with
him finishing with twenty seven, twenty eight, twenty nine, but
I don't see him getting at that thirty five range.
That could be a good play in your mind, minus
(25:19):
one fifteen right now over thirty three and a half,
under thirty three and a half, minus one fifteen on
DraftKings sportsbook, Tatum's at twenty seven and a half, Browns at.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
Twenty three and a half.
Speaker 1 (25:29):
I would look elsewhere from the standpoint of the Oklahoma
City Thunder, and they're gonna have to get production from
somebody else because I just feel like SGA they're going
to try and make life difficult on him, as often
teams do. But somebody else is gonna have to score
points for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Is it a moment
(25:53):
where you're looking at possibly Dort stepping in. Is it
a moment where you're gonna get something from chet Let's.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
Pull up their numbers.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
Here, Chets at fourteen and a half, Dort's at ten
and a half. I would probably take a sprinkle on
Dort there at ten and a half. It's a low number.
Just get to eleven. You're cashing in Hartenstein. Look, there's
nobody down low as far as size. You know, Horford's
gonna be in there. Right Horford's playing this evening. I'm
not seeing anything as far as he's concerned right now. Hell,
even got porzingis listed on DraftKings. He's day to day listed,
(26:30):
all right, Well, he's not playing tonight, no way, Tatum
was listed on the injury report as well, but he's
gonna go.
Speaker 2 (26:37):
That's a big one. This is a big one.
Speaker 1 (26:42):
Like I said, two and a half is our spread,
this evening statement game here on March twelfth. I can't
go that far. We know what these two teams are,
what they're capable of. As I said, everybody has these
two teams pegged into the NBA Finals. I don't think
it's as easy as such. But here's what I would say.
I think this is a game where Oklahoma City can flex.
(27:04):
I think this is a game where Oklahoma City can say,
all right, this is the stretch of the NBA season
where people start a poot poo the schedule, lookouse, where
other things going on. This is a game where they
can come out front and center and say, how are
you overlooking us? With the best record in the West
of fifty three and twelve? How are we not the
(27:24):
topic of conversation No matter where Luca gets traded, no
matter what Lebron James does, no matter what Joker's doing,
we have the MVP. You need to talk about us more.
We already beat Boston, We're able to beat Cleveland. Whoever
you want to roll out there in the NBA Finals.
This is a game that Oklahoma City can flex. That's
what I'm looking for tonight, seven thirty tonight. I believe
(27:47):
ESPN has the coverage, all eyes on this one. I'll
be watching, and we got a banger of a schedule,
and the King of the Court is back from the
from DraftKings. So all I gotta do is pick the
person who's going to have the most points, rebounds, and
assists tonight. Play a leg of one of their their
props and you could take home a chunk of change
(28:07):
from what they call their King of the Court bank,
and you will win a bet token and a share
of one million and bonus bets, so one million dollars
we divvied up. It's always good to pick somebody a
little bit outside the box because I think if you
went Joker tonight.
Speaker 2 (28:27):
It's probably not going to cash in. Even if he does.
Speaker 1 (28:31):
Tatum could be a good one. This is a big game.
Oklahoma City plays great defense. I would think that that
probably would not be a good move. You gotta get
in the fifty five sixty range. You just need somebody
to have themselves a banger of a game. Oklahoma City
in Boston. That's the first game off Hornets and Hawks.
Maybe at two forty two. You want to look at
this game just from because of the the highest total
(28:53):
on the board. I would look at a guy like
Trey Young possibly going off and score. We're in a
fifty point performance. Again, outside the box is what you
want here. Bridges did score a bunch the other night,
maybe him Lamello bell Ball. I would probably stay away
from that game altogether, but it does seem like it
will be a glorified pickup game. Sixers and Raptors and
(29:14):
the Tank Bowl here Raptors are four and a half
point firs two twenty and a half. I got nothing
on that game whatsoever. But go Toronto, go Utah and
Grizzlies their twelve point favorites. Grizzlies at home to forty seven. Actually,
that's the highest total on the board.
Speaker 2 (29:29):
I forgive me.
Speaker 1 (29:30):
I thought two forty two was the highest total on
the board. Who's going off from Memphis tonight, is it?
Speaker 2 (29:39):
John Morant?
Speaker 1 (29:39):
Is that where we're going as far as King of
the Court is concerned this evening, Really, two forty two
or two forty seven is our total in Memphis?
Speaker 2 (29:53):
Wow?
Speaker 1 (29:56):
These two teams matched up on January twenty fifth, one
twenty five to one oh three. They also played on
October twenty third, one twenty six to one twenty four.
So two forty seven was the last game that they
played and that stayed well under. Maybe you'd look to
do that here. Under take the Grizzlies in this one.
(30:19):
Grizzlies in that one. They need Yeah, John morantlain for
eleven in that one, Jackson went for twenty eight eating
went for nineteen.
Speaker 2 (30:26):
This is tough.
Speaker 1 (30:28):
Yeah, I'm not gonna pick the King of the Cord
from that one. But if you're take if you're looking
at two forty seven, maybe you want to take the
under on that one. Suns and Rockets that that could
potentially get some fireworks again. Rockets are four and a
half point favorites MAVs and Spurs. That's a two thirty six.
San Antonio is a six point favorite there Clippers in
the Miami heat Heater two and a half point home
(30:49):
favorites against Clippers.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
Two of five.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
Sam Austrey said, James Harden be on the lookout for
hardin tonight. That's his play. I think that's a good
outside the box one there t Wilson Nuggets. Two thirty
three is our total in I went Denver three and
a half point favorites and then we close up shop
four point favorites on the road, the New York Knicks
in Portland tonight, king to court tonight for me, I'll
(31:16):
go Trey.
Speaker 2 (31:17):
I'll go Trey. Like I said, Trey Young goes for
fifty plus tonight. How about that a fifty burger down
there in the Ato, all right? Next one up here
from the NBA card. Let's stay on the hardwood.
Speaker 1 (31:30):
College basketball front and center, topic of everybody's mind. Trust
me when I tell you you want to tune in
for our stream tonight at eight pm.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
In the studio, the home Studio.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
Ryan Bfcoyle, taking his talent on the road three streets up,
will be joining me in my basement and we're gonna
be going live at eight pm, probably going for an
hour talking about things college hoops, and we will discuss
as far as all the games that are being played
right here right now, and there are a ton a
ton of games being played. You know, a lot of
(32:01):
the big major conference tournaments got going today.
Speaker 2 (32:05):
Big East will be in action.
Speaker 1 (32:06):
Villanova going off this evening, not North Carolina playing a
little earlier today. South Carolina ended up lumping up Arkansas
pretty good.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
That was an easy win, as I believe that one
went final, right, didn't that one go with?
Speaker 1 (32:20):
Found actually, whoa whoa, whoa, whoa whoa, whoa whoa Arkansas
coughing it up? I thought that was final my fault,
sixty one to fifty eight right now, Still a little
time to go in the second there, but North Carolina
was my play a little earlier. Didn't think that No
Dame had any interest in this, and North Carolina's on
the bubble.
Speaker 2 (32:38):
But a lot of games to be eyeing up at
this point in time.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
Yesterday last night a lot of great championship games. Shout
out to the Delaware Blue Hens who made it a
game covered a number.
Speaker 2 (32:52):
Beef was all over a few of those games for
us yesterday.
Speaker 1 (32:54):
We do have a championship game in the Big Sky,
Montana and Northern Colorado going had to Northern Colorado two
and a half point favorites twenty five and eight.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
Montana in a nice win last night.
Speaker 1 (33:06):
And then congratulations to Gonzaga winning that game. That was
an ugly, ugly game, ugly defensive battles across the board
last night in college hoops, but we were paying attention
to all of it because of course it is at
that time of year. As I said, our livestream will
start at eight pm talking all things, the madness. All right,
finally we'll close things down, Hey, coming up at five o'clock.
Speaker 2 (33:28):
We're gonna have to swinging and ding it for you,
Moose Mays and Danielle.
Speaker 1 (33:31):
And the reason why is because the TPC is off
and running tomorrow. Scotty Scheffer leading the charge down there
at TPC Sawgrass four to one to win the tournament
four to one plus four hundred. Wow, that is some
serious odds right there in favor of Scotty Rory, who
(33:51):
won it, I believe in twenty nineteen eleven to one.
Colin war Kyle played well last week fourteen to one.
Auberg right there at sixteen to one, Thomas Justin Thomas
twenty two to one, Xander Schoffley twenty two as well,
hit Daky MATSI I'm a thirty to one, Tommy Fleet
with thirty to one can't Ley who laid an egg
for me in the swing and ding at one and done.
Speaker 2 (34:13):
League last week no point, Oh there, forty to one.
Shane Lowry's playing his ass off so far this year.
Forty to one who also had a hole in one.
I was looking at home ones.
Speaker 1 (34:23):
On seventeen from the prop standpoint, and we have had
three straight years of a home one. I want to say,
twenty two, twenty twenty twenty two. I want to say
they had three home in ones, twenty three, twenty four.
I had a home one last year.
Speaker 2 (34:40):
Will we have a home one this year? That's a
good question.
Speaker 1 (34:43):
And you know you can find those over on a
DraftKings sportsbook as far as hole in one's whole props,
all that and more. They have a ton to choose from,
so do yourself favorite and get on too. DraftKings Sportsbook
makes use braces promo code let them know you're listening
to us here.
Speaker 2 (34:59):
They also have a mystery boost Mister reboost, mister reboost.
What's inside the mister reboost? I like that? Details the
Players Championship twenty twenty five.
Speaker 1 (35:13):
Daily profit boosts must opten to receive one profit boost
token per day. Profit Boost up to fifty percent only
applies to winning, excluding original bet amount. Mystery profit Boost
rewarded eighteen percent twenty five fifty percent, so that's not bad.
All you gotta do is opt in and you could
be at least getting eighteen percent. As far as a
(35:34):
profit boost token minimum legs of minus five hundred a
ply profit boost token conclusion, blah blah blah blah blah.
All the details are there for you reading my Drafickings
sportsbook again though that does have my attention.
Speaker 2 (35:49):
You know, as far as this is concerned, to win it,
I would just say I'm I'm up. It was tough because.
Speaker 1 (35:55):
I wanted to say Rory Rory was going to be
my play, but I backed off of Rory. I just
you know what, I'm gonna go and say that there
will be somebody else that finishes number one instead of
Rory this time. Ayberg was a guy that I thought
could very well do it, and he's been playing awesome
(36:16):
all season. So I think that that, you know, in
a spot like this at eighteen to one, I think
it's worth a shot. He is absolutely rolling right now,
a top ten finishering his debut last year here, and
he has been playing well since it started, since the
season started. Xander Schoffley, I'd be fading a little bit
(36:37):
hasn't really looked with Russell Henley has been playing really well,
so I might look at him here as well at
thirty to one. Justin Rose in a long shot man,
He's got some serious odds behind him, but he would
be an interesting and like I said, Shane Lowry's been
playing well as well. For my one and done, I'll
go it. I'll go it to Swede, I'll give me Ayberg.
(36:59):
I'm gonna go with him at sixteen to one. Let's
go with him, and then let's go top ten. I'm
looking at Shane Lowry here at plus three thirty. Let's
lock in Shane Lowry at plus three thirty. What's rosy, Rosie.
He's playing well man, he's seeing it well. He's at
plus seven fifty for a top ten. So let's go
(37:21):
Rosie and Shane Lowry little sprinkle there at top ten
and we're gonna get involved. I want, yes, I want
to play Hole in one on seventeen. I'm gonna take
that seventeen prop I believe you know some books do
(37:42):
have a prophet boost token for the Hole in one,
Just so you know, I did read that. But Shane
Lowry in twenty twenty two had a hole in one.
We had three last year in twenty twenty three. Ryan
Fox last year had one as well. And again you're
talking about the some sports books that.
Speaker 2 (38:01):
Put it out there.
Speaker 1 (38:01):
The odds of a home run on seventeenth hole are
plus one forty five forty point eight percent that they
will get it done.
Speaker 2 (38:08):
The odds that a player does not make an ace
are minus.
Speaker 1 (38:11):
Two twenty Give me the plus one forty five. We're
rolling with it, all right, and finally we're gonna end
on this little sour note, and it's over. It's over
Johnny Tiger Woods. It's time to wave the white flag
and he will be the honorary He should hit the
honorary t shots like Jack and Arnie and Gary Player
(38:35):
and whoever else moving forward. But it's clear that his
body is nowhere near what needs to be done to
play four rounds at a high level. And if you
want to roll out, you know the invite, and it's
Tiger Woods to get him out there to play two
holes like John Daly. That's fine, but I didn't think
we'd be cruising down this path of John Daly.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
When we're talking about Tiger Woods.
Speaker 1 (38:59):
But his body shot. Now, Why is his body shot?
You can ask a few different reasons. Playing golf at
a high level all those years. Possibly did he put
some stuff in his body that's hurting him now. Possibly
everything is on the table. I used to argue with
one of my best friends who was in the world
of medicine way in the early two thousands, and he
(39:21):
used to tell me that everybody was on some form
of HGH.
Speaker 2 (39:24):
He used to argue left and right with him about
those guys. Guess what he's potentially most likely right.
Speaker 1 (39:30):
Tiger Woods with the roptured achilles tendon news that came
down yesterday after playing the TGL and just trying to
get it going so he could play in the Masters
next month.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
It's over.
Speaker 1 (39:40):
It's over, and it's unfortunate that we're gonna see one
of the greats in his career, whatever way he chooses
to go out from here on now, he's not gonna
listen to Sean Brace over here in Philadelphia. But I'm
I'm over it, you know, And I'm pulling for Tiger.
I don't want to see him done, like, never play
(40:01):
eighteen holes at high level ever again. But there will
be plenty of opportunities that he can get involved, whether
it's a match or the TGL or like I said,
if he does play around an Augusta right, like, oh
well he plays one round, we keep it moving. But
when we're talking about Tiger Woods, it plays some money.
And I don't know who was at this point in time,
(40:22):
but people always were taking a flyer on him just
because of who he is. That's the wrong way to
go about it. Again, the news coming down yesterday ruption
Achilles Tendon, it's time to wave the white flag when
it comes to Elgrick Tiger Woods. Pains me to say it,
but it's the reality, all right.
Speaker 2 (40:39):
Reality is this. We're moving on, coming up at five o'clock,
swinging and thing it.
Speaker 1 (40:43):
More golf conversation coming your way, and I know that
Moose Mays and Danielle will be discussing Tiger Woods's future,
also all things. Of course, what's happening down there at TPC.
They'll give their plays, all that and more tonight. I'll
be lying at eight pm. But Ryan beef Coile talking
about all things college basketball, getting you ready for the madness,
(41:04):
catching up on everything that took place as far as
today is concerned. So don't miss that live stream on
