Laurie James is a mother, divorcée, turned author, and relationship coach. She also oversaw her parent's care for 14 1/2 years. Laurie’s book, Sandwiched: A Memoir of Holding On and Letting Go is about her eight-year journey when she was sent down an unwanted path after her mother had a heart attack and her husband’s lawyer delivered some shocking news. Sandwiched between caring for her parents, managing caregivers, raising four daughters, and a crumbling marriage, she had to reevaluate everything she thought she knew. It’s her story of finding belonging after spending much of her life feeling alone. Laurie is a free spirit and a lover of nature, skiing, sailing, and her adopted husky Lu.
