(01:04):
Professor. Well, guess what I'd do this
weekend? I mean, I kind of know what you
did, if it had anything to do. With the pool.
Yes, my back is hurting as we Ohshit, here we go.
Before I tell you about how my back hurts people, before I tell
you how my back got hurt, let metell you that I I have touted
this on many episodes that ChuckEd is my best friend.
(01:27):
So let me guess what you told mewhen I had to do all these pool
chores this weekend. He said, you know what, you can
use my wheelbarrow, but I'll be at the chiropractor.
He would not. And yoga.
And yoga and yoga this dude. Listen.
No yoga. OK, OK, listen, when did you
guys send me the message? Be honest.
(01:47):
As soon as we knew that the rockwas going to be delivered.
Matter when you did. You send me the message.
We can't plan this. Not 24 hours in advance, so I
don't care when you're going to say that they're not.
Going to even Miss Doll, if I were to send you a message on
Friday and say hey Miss Doll, tomorrow morning at 9:00 we need
to do a recording of a podcast, you think you could make it
(02:09):
happen? No.
No, no. Holly, is it for you?
No, because she has a kid, not agoddamn yoga person named
fucking. Carl, I got a chiropractor.
I got yoga. I need that.
If I don't get that. He.
Can't touch his toes. I don't need to touch my toes in
(02:30):
yoga, okay, I just, I lay there. It's actually relaxing.
It's it's I think it's called yen Yoga and you just I love it.
I just. Let the people who listen to
this judge whether your ass should have been helping me or
doing this bullshit. No, so people, it's.
Just like a friend calling you up.
Hey, what are you doing this weekend?
(02:51):
I don't know why. What's going on?
Oh, I'm moving. Oh yeah, I'm busy.
Your friend calling you up saying I'm stranded on the side
of the road, I know you're doingsomething right now in Red Wing
a fucking hour and a half away and me dropping everything and
driving there. That's what it's like.
OK, that was a weird time. You're silent.
Fucking solid. That was one time, OK, and I
(03:13):
appreciate that. I did appreciate, I mean the
cowboy did make me laugh. Because he's.
Like you send a lawyer to do a construction guy's job and it
made me laugh. He does got shit to me all the
time. That's what I did this weekend.
It's all. Well, what I learned in yoga use
(03:34):
your core, OK? That's what you should have
done. Well, I mean, technically your
back. Technically, you're supposed to
lift with your legs, not the back.
What we had to do this weekend, legs, back, neck, everything was
going to hurt regardless. What did you do, Miss Dolph,
since I already know, fucking the shaman over here what he
did? Cleaned out our garage?
(03:55):
There you go. That is.
Oh, that's sexy, that is. Yeah.
I like that, yeah. We cleaned out the garage.
Me and Nadine almost get divorced every fucking April.
Oh, it's coming up our annual divorce party or the end of the
season October when we got to put shit away in the garage from
the pool Season or take it out it it becomes a decision like
(04:17):
every fucking April and October. If we're going to stay together
and Miss Doll, you want to tell them what we're going to do
tonight. Well, tonight we're going to go
ahead and we're talking about how C&D became and white
chocolate all of. These you'll learn who Mike is.
Mike is the Dean and Oz partner in CND so we we talked them out
(04:37):
of his hiding his reclusiveness.I, I don't ever see Mike on the
on the on the list. You ever come to parties?
You talk about me not coming to parties.
I couldn't tell you the last. Time I was at a party.
Mike had a Halloween party like 2 years ago.
Yeah, I think it was longer. Than two years.
Ago there might be longer than three years now, but it's lost.
(05:01):
Before COVID. Oh damn.
Has it been that long? It's been a long time.
Yeah, it's been a while. So then that's even further.
Back. You and I have.
I don't think we've met. I've seen parties.
Yeah, I've seen them at parties.OK.
It's been a while, but. You've met Mike at.
The Riverwood way back then way.OK, that's a long time ago.
(05:25):
And I mean, we, we had some communication.
We exchanged some communication.I was, I'm going to be honest
with you, I was trying to get what your, your first wife or
whatever, the, the first one youcame on with.
And then and then, and then I think you were like, Nah, we're
more interested in your wife. I'm like, yeah, that ain't
happening. So I was like, bye.
(05:46):
That was my second wife. Y'all was just I have a couple
wives there, that's all you comein.
There. Oh, well, awesome.
Well, glad to have you on today. So, OK, we're going to start.
Miss Doll, you, you want to start this off with the
questions to the professor and the Dean.
I mean, so we reached out and wegot our listeners to go ahead
(06:09):
and throw out some questions forus.
So we can kind of go through thequestions and get you guys's
answers on those. So the first question that we
got was how did white chocolate and C&D actually begin so?
My goal for our our website was always to be Facebook for
swingers. That's what I always wanted it
(06:30):
to be, just like the wall and you can chat and you can post
pictures and everything else. So that was my goal.
So anybody that we talked to about building this website,
that's what I said. If they said no, we have some
other ideas, but moving on to the next one.
So that was how it all started. Before that, even though when we
(06:57):
started, we didn't start just wedidn't have any idea of doing a
website. Oh yeah.
We were just. Way, way back.
OK, well, we didn't just wake upone day when we got here in a
lifestyle and say we're going tostart a website.
We just we were on other websites and and what happened
was we started doing private parties.
And the reason why we started doing private parties here is
(07:17):
because the Dean and I went to athe popular party in town here
and it was at the country Western bar.
And it was the kind of, they throw the fucking shells on the
ground and there's tobacco spit cup on the pool table and stuff.
And then the Dean has lingerie on it sits on the pool table and
knocks over a spit cup and it rolls on her stuff.
(07:38):
So on her, yeah, it was gross. It was so gross.
So she says I've never gone back, never.
And I believe there that day, I think our exact words were I
will stay home and watch the good pumpkin Charlie Brown on TV
before I go to that next, that Halloween party.
That was the next party. That's what she said to me.
So we had a private party where where as much people got
(08:02):
together and at this party, we these people asked us to come
back to their house for an afterparty.
And it was on the 35th floor of this apartment building
downtown. And they were like, look at
this, you know, this room we gotup here that we can rent out.
So they showed it to us. And we were like, why don't we
just get some of our friends together for a private party,
our friends, and see how it goes.
(08:23):
So we did that. And So what we did was we
started inviting Chuck D was part of this initial group was
we were having smaller private parties just because we wanted a
space for and we've talked aboutthis before.
We were interracial couple and we weren't seeing a lot of that
at the events. So what we did was the
interracial couples or the couples of color that we
friended, you know, we started doing our own, you know, we just
a space for us. So those are the people that we
(08:45):
invited 1st. And once we got about 20 of
those couples, we just kept realizing that all these other
people wanted to come to this new party that was going to be
way different in the country Western bar parties.
So once we started those, those grew in popularity to the point
where we got too big for the, for the place we ran.
And we had to start going to hotels at that point.
And once we started doing the hotel parties, the, the website
(09:08):
that we were on got upset with us and their way of trying to,
you know, fuck with us basicallywas they were like, look, you
got to do this laundry list of shit before you could have
parties on a site anymore. And one of those, one of the
enumerated lists was we had to have our own website.
Now, when we did this, someone did a website for us and it was
(09:28):
just like a static page. There wasn't any, you know, it
didn't collect any real data. Yeah, it didn't have chat or
anything like that. So a friend of ours who was in
this private group with us that we were doing parties with, he
was a software engineer, he was a programmer, all that stuff,
all that computer shit. And he goes, I got a extra
(09:48):
website that I'm not using. You guys can have it.
So when we did this, we, we said, all right, we'll, we'll
launch this at one of our parties.
So now at this time, our party was on another website.
So during our party, we have a giveaway.
And then we announced we're launching our new website that
this other website wanted us to have.
(10:08):
And we called it WC nights. And the minute we launched it,
the other website got pissed andthey basically kicked us off the
site. It was like the devil getting
kicked out of heaven. So there was no more.
We was page went black. We couldn't log in, couldn't get
no information, nothing. So we were pretty much on our
own the day that we launched thewebsite.
Now, did you ever talk to that other website the the promoters?
(10:30):
We tried to. That's why Oh.
They didn't want to this, like Isaid, there were no things for
people like us. They they didn't want us around
because you. Because you were, maybe.
We're speculating from what people told us, you know what I
mean? We had mutual friends, you know
what I mean? Our mutual people that move
throughout both groups. But it was just, it wasn't meant
(10:52):
for us, you know what I mean? What they already was doing here
wasn't wasn't meant for us. So.
So. Let me ask you this.
Let's say if there was another couple that wanted to start
their own website or whatever and they did the same thing that
you did on CND, what would what would you guys?
Do what do you mean? What do you mean?
You mean like if it was the reverse situation?
Like there was someone now? Exactly.
(11:12):
Well, if you want to join your own website, you can't, we
wouldn't let you promote it there.
We didn't promote. Listen, we didn't promote our
website on their page. We just did what they asked us
to do for our events. You see what I'm saying?
They said on our events we had, you know how there's there's
some events that you'll say likelet's say it's the XYZ party on
the events, it'll say like, oh, go to XYZ party for listings and
(11:34):
dates and all that. So every, every event page now
has it. But back then they did it.
They made us do you know what I mean?
So we weren't. Advertising.
We weren't even thinking about starting a website.
We didn't. One of us know anything about
the goddamn computer. We can't even log into the
podcast. Tonight we were.
Fucking. We couldn't even log in here
(11:55):
and. You don't know.
Now let's be real. Well.
This is why they bring in other people.
Yeah. So, you know, our listeners had
some questions for us and and obviously you guys have really
gone into this in terms of what they're looking for.
What motivates you to throw the first event?
We'll just say the the, the spitcup, the tobacco spit cup,
(12:18):
that's what motivates you guys. And.
You know, let let me answer thattoo, because you have to
understand where we came from. So when we started, we were in
two different states. So we were in Michigan, which is
also non premise, meaning you can't have an on premise
lifestyle club. I don't know.
(12:38):
What it is now, Jeff, But then. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And Pennsylvania, which is on premise and they do have on
premise clubs. So, and when people go to these
places, they get dressed very sexy and like high heels and,
and they want to look their bestand sexy and stuff.
And they don't want to sit on pool tables and listen to ACDC.
(13:03):
You know, they want to dance. And, and that's what I was used
to. So I, when we moved here, that's
why I told the professor, I am not doing this anymore.
If this is. What?
He was serious. When she looked at me, I knew I
I had to jump into action. I was like, no, it ain't over
yet. Baby.
And that's what motivated us. Yeah, that was the motivation
(13:24):
for me. Yeah.
I've seen the seriousness in hereyes.
She wasn't coming back. So see, so then you kind of laid
out like the one of the other questions was what was one of
the earlier challenges you kind of said it like getting
everything started and where do you go from there.
And then the other part of that question was especially around
the funds for those first events, like how did that kind
(13:45):
of how challenging was that? Funds.
Like the money? The funds, Yeah.

(14:07):
Bondesk has what you deserve. Visit
theminstoreinminneapolisoronlineanytime@bondesk.com.You know what, it was weird
because the first event, I can remember, the very first one we
did at the rooftop party, what did we charge, 10 bucks?
No, it was free. It was all.
It was all private invite and itwas.
(14:30):
Free. Yeah, because we were just
inviting our friends. We started out with 20 couples
and we weren't. We were at my mother in law's
and it was over Labor Day week. And I remember because it was a
Halloween party that we were having, we said if we could get
50 people to come, it'll be a cool time.
I went in the computer room and I sent out 20 invites.
I wanted to get something to drink.
I came back, all 20 had acceptedby the time I went to the fridge
(14:52):
and got a drink. I told, I told the Dean.
I said, all right, let's you know, we have some friends on
the periphery here, let's send out a couple more invites.
By the time I did that, within 10 in 24 hours, we had over 200
people sign up. So it was it was like that.
The other people were like, yeah, we don't want to do that
bullshit no more neither. So that, so those things like
(15:14):
the challenges was what the funds initially there was no
funds. We didn't, we weren't charged
and we were just doing it again as a space for people like us
that were, you know, sort of being excluded or these things
were happening too, because it wasn't just us, you know what I
mean? So we we found this and Chuck
Dee could tell you this. When we used to do before we did
(15:35):
this actual party, we would do like you hear stories about the
party buses and different club events downtown.
Out of probably the five or six couples that we started with,
we're all like interracial couples or couples of color, you
know what I mean? There was some Ave. that we had
that sort of bond. So that's how we started.
It was just basically about a space for us to be able to be
involved because so many times we felt like we wasn't so.
(15:58):
At that other party, I think it was the one where I sat in the
spit, I asked the DJ to play something to dance to.
I, I think I just said, can you play Michael Jackson or
something? Everybody would know.
You know, I didn't necessarily want hard rap or anything, just
something that people can dance to R&B, you know, whatever.
(16:19):
Do you remember what his commentwas for?
I don't know if that was a towelwhen he said we ain't planning
out. Boom Boom Wiki wiki up here.
Yeah, something. Like that?
Yeah, he said he wasn't. No, it it wasn't that time the
DJ said he wasn't allowed to play that, so he said the.
Host of the. Party told him he was not
allowed to play any of that music and then later some forum
(16:44):
or something, the host of the party, those are the exact words
that he said that he said I'm not playing none of that boom
boom wiki. We playing it out.
Boom boom Wiki. Wiki up in here, Yeah.
And you, you should, you should have started off easy with some
Blake Shelton. That's what you should have
done. I don't know if Blake film was
around. There, sure he was sure he was.
(17:08):
Yeah, so. Well, let's and you guys talked
about some of the prize they went to.
How about your first hotel takeover?
Let's talk about that because those are, you know, the hotel
takeovers. I've been to a few and there's
been some good ones and there's been some bad ones.
But let's talk about any fun or wild memories from trying to
(17:29):
book your first hotel takeover. Tell us about the process like
talking. To total hotel takeover.
Yeah, Tell us how you guys get ahotel takeover put together,
because I, I'm sure some of us don't think about that.
Like, you know, you go to, you know, talk to Conrad Hilton and
say, hey, we, yeah, we want to take over your hotel.
(17:53):
So we. Have orgies in the hallway.
We had hotel parties, you know what I mean?
So we left the, the rooftop and bar parties and moved into
having them in hotel ballrooms, but not, but they weren't hotel
takeovers. So here was the, here was the
crazy part about it was when we were on the other site, we had,
(18:14):
we had eventually become that site's biggest party.
And when I say the biggest party, I'm saying that we, it
was consistently like 700 plus people there.
So we, they, we weren't taking over the whole hotel though.
So the manager, the the person that we worked with and Chuck,
you probably remember at the oldGrand Rios, she she left the job
and she went to a new hotel, which was like a it's like a
(18:36):
little resort out in the woods. And she called.
All right, you just keep doing them over there if you want, But
I got your own spot for you up here.
You can have the whole layout ofthe land.
So that was our first. That's how we got our first
hotel takeover was from working with the lady from the old
party. So I.
Remember her? I remember her.
(18:56):
She. She she was, she was taking some
break on her breaks during the party.
She was taking them on a dance floor, sometimes back to.
The room. Don't back to the room.
She knew where the fun was at. She was.
That's why I said you remember her.
Oh yeah. So, but the other thing is, is
(19:17):
this is that people don't realize that then there's some
parties, I've heard this, that they won't tell the hotel or the
venue what's going on. We're always upfront.
We always let people know what they're dealing with, what
they're going to get into. We have references the, you
know, the hotels that we've worked with over the years will
always be like, you know, we tryto leave on good terms and
(19:38):
they'll say, you know, if you need anybody to call because it,
it's a big commitment for the hotel that you know, a lot of
them tell us beat it, get lost shit.
The hotel that we're talking about where we used to have the,
you know, the bigger parties outbefore we did hotel takeovers.
So in 2009 they got bought by another company and we left.
So we had left for like 2 years and then they call us back and
(19:59):
they go, man, we want you to have your parties back out here.
We're under new management and everything and calls me back
out, right? So we sit down and I'm like, all
right, you know, you guys are new.
So I want to run it down to you what we do.
And here's here's how it's goingto go.
And the guys like, Yep, Yep, we understand, he's listening, he's
listening, we understand. I'm sitting at, you know, it's a
big desk, it's him in the room and there's another guy in the
(20:19):
room who's not saying much. So I go, all right, since you
guys are on board with it and you want us back here, let's set
a date and we're good to go. So I get up and I shake his
hand. I stand up, I shake his hand.
I go to walk away. And as I go to walk away, he
pulls my hand back and he goes, but there's one more thing.
And I said yeah. And he goes, have a seat.
So I sit down and he slides thisManila envelope across the dust
(20:41):
to me. And I, it's like some spa shit.
So it's like a Private Eye. Seriously.
I swear to God. I open up the envelope and
there's like, it looks like a crime scene.
There's pictures of like the tuband there's like, it looks like
shit, You know what I mean? Like a tub with like, shit
splattered in it. And there's pictures on the
mirror and there's like shit spattered on the mirror and
(21:02):
there's like a trail carpet withshit splattered on it.
And I'm like, I'm looking at these pictures like, yeah, it
looked like somebody shit all over the bathroom in the hotel.
Room. He goes, yeah, well, you know
what, Professor? He didn't call me Professor, but
he says, you know what? We can't have that if we have
more parties, I go, you're damn right we can't have that.
What you talking? About yeah, that wasn't me for
(21:23):
the right way. These are photos from the last
party you had here before, and this is not something that we're
going to do. I said, oh, you think that's
from me? And I get up to walk away and he
goes, wait, wait, where you going?
I go, you think I'm having shit parties?
And he goes, well, these are from your actual party.
And I thought about it because Iwas like, what is this from?
(21:45):
Like why is he accusing me of this?
And what happened was what happened was at.
The last. Party we had there, we had a
chocolate fountain with, you know, fucking fruit and shit
coming out and we were. Just going away.
It was a total mess, right? We were going to throw that shit
in the garbage can. So the cleaning ladies see us
and they're like, oh, what you doing with that?
And we're like, we're throwing it away is we can't put this in
(22:06):
our truck. They're like, no, no, no, we'll
take it. And we never seen it again.
So they must have went in that bathroom fucking shit all over
like. Jacuzzi tub and they cleaned it
in it. They cleaned it in it, so all
this time they didn't have a bath so they thought we was
having shit parties up there. So all that over a chocolate
(22:29):
fountain? Yeah, all over the chocolate
fountain. But no, we always tell people
upfront, you know what, what they're getting into because
it's not good, you know, if someone bust in there, which
we've never had the cops or anything like that come in.
But if they did, you want, you don't want the hotel to be
surprised. That's not going to be good
business. So.
Remember that one party we went to, it was another host and they
(22:52):
said it was a wedding and our friends were actually supposed
to be the bride and groom and itwas so.
Ridiculous. Cake they got a they got an
interracial bride and groom thing on the top and and made
them come out with the cake. Seriously.
True story. So ridiculous.
So no, we never lied to the hotels or anywhere that we're.
(23:12):
Having I've seen it, you know, you get some people that come to
the side topless, not going to name any names, missed all but
you know. What the fuck?
Excuse me, can you get can I geta towel?
You know, was it my fault that the cowboy decided to hijack my
top? And then take it.
Upstairs. OK, What would you want me to
do? About it.
(23:33):
Yeah, I've seen, I've seen you up front there.
It's OK, it's OK. It's.
The welcoming committee. So at what point did you guys
say to yourselves that you know what, this might work, right?
I think we can, you know, you know, do a little bit more.
Keep going. With it after we started, I
would say it was funny though too, though.
The very first party we had the very first party after we got
(23:57):
booted off the old site. We, it was, it was summertime,
which as you guys know can always be a challenge.
It was June and we had the very first party and you know, people
were excited to come. It was a, it was a club in
Minneapolis. So the night before the other
hotel, the other site announces that they're having a free party
(24:17):
downtown, like a couple blocks away from where we're having our
party. So our party was charging
whatever the regular rate for a party was at that time.
But they announced that they were having a free party and
there were free drinks. I think the producer was over
there too, drinking free champagne and shit in the VR.
But there were people, there were people like the producer
who went to that party for free. That's night of the party.
(24:40):
We were like, oh shit, we got tomake our party free now just so
we keep or friends and people that come because they were
basically trying to just stomp us out.
You know what I mean? Like we didn't have their site
anymore. Not a lot of people were on
ours, the WC night site yet. So they actually tried to throw
a free party and get free shit away so that people come.
I mean, it was maybe I would do the same shit myself.
(25:01):
I don't know. But I would say once we started
doing the hotel takeovers, I knew that this could be become
something that people would continue to go to.
Initially when we were doing barparties, I would say the Dean
would you? Did you think that we would keep
doing it or was it when we got to the hotel takeovers that you
thought like, oh, this is something that we enjoy and
we'll keep? Do you?
When you say the hotel takeovers, are you talking
about? Talking about.
(25:23):
River. Wars.
Oh yeah, I'm not. Talking about like river.
Wars. Oh yeah, That's when, that's
when we knew. I would say when I knew, yeah,
that this is a good thing. And people loved the parties up
there. Everybody loved the parties at
the Riverwood, even though with all its flaws and everything,
they loved it because it was so out of the way and it was very,
(25:44):
very private. And you could just do anything.
You could be totally nude and walk around and, you know,
nobody would see you. Yeah.
Or goat. It was great for us.
We didn't have many incidents out there at all.
For real. It was it was out of the wet.
Like nobody just coming up checking, like you don't have
(26:05):
any reason to be there unless you're going to our party.
So that, yeah, once we got there, I would say we realized
at that point that this has somelegs.
Why build an entire platform andbrand around C&D versus what you
had? Well, I'll be honest, what we
had before fucking broke and I'mnot a computer guy as we all
have found out, but the site stopped being supported by
(26:28):
certain stuff and when we were like all right, what are we
going to do? The the person who was in charge
of that at the time didn't have any answers, so I can remember
what. Happened.
He had answers. He had excuses.
Yeah, that's cute. But we, we were just going to
let it go, you know what I mean?We were just like, all right,
had a good run. And we're saying this wasn't
this was 2013 and we were just like, you know, we had a good
(26:49):
run. So let's let's give it up.
And I remember where I was at. I was at Red Robin with my
ex-girlfriend then and we were leaving Red Robin and I was
like, all right, we're going to shut it down and we're not going
to have any more parties or whatever it is.
And that and we had just left a meeting with the WC Knights
creator and we had agreed to shut it down.
(27:09):
And as we're walking through theparking lot, Mike, who you guys
will meet soon, who's on the call?
Mike actually calls me because me and Mike had had a
conversation. He was like, hey, man, if you
ever want to do a different siteor whatever this and that, let
me know. And he calls me as I'm in the
parking lot of Red Robin, just got done talking about I was
going to shut down the old site. And him and I talk about what we
can do with C&D. And that's how we got C&D.
(27:32):
But it was honest to God it it happened the same day as I was
shutting down the other site. It was going to be done.
I was done with the parties, thewebsite, everything.
And Mike followed up with a callthat day.
Well, is this a good time to bring Mike in or should we wait
a little bit? I think I think this will be
good. Perfect, perfect you.
(27:53):
Heard from him like what? What?
Were you thinking? Yeah, I want to hear Mike.
I want to hear. Mike, I do.
I do want in on this mic. Well, if you like Part 1, you're
going to love Part 2. We will see you guys back next
