So since we've last talked to about events, what's happened?
What events have we been to? So much has happened.
We've been trying to cram in a lot of parties.
The end of the swing season, everybody's getting nervous
because they think all the fun'sgoing away.
So there's been like. Wait, wait, wait.
What do you mean by the end of swing season?
For our listeners, what does that mean?

September to May is when all theshit's really going to to to.
We're full blast because when summer hits, you know, real life
comes into play way, way more than it does fall winter all the
other times. So swing season ended.
I don't know by the time you're listening to this y'all but
this? Is coming out June 30th or June

But we had spring formal. That was our mansion party,
which was surprisingly large. It was.
It was probably the largest April party we've done there.
And I'm a big fan of pastel lingerie.
No, we had a Hoedown once. That was big.
Remember, we haven't done a Hoedown since then.
I don't know why, but at the Riverwood we did a Hoedown and

that one was that was our biggest party.
How many people showed up at themansion party for Spring Formal?
It was over 300, but don't give me the line how many, you know
what I mean? I it was definitely over 300,
but that for April and April's one of those April's one of the
toss up months. You know, you got January,
April, November, but you got your shitty months that are for

sure shitty June, August, you know what I mean?
So April's always a coin toss, but it was good.
It was a very good crowd. I liked it.
I liked it. This was my usually May is my
comeback to the North party, butthis time I made it back for
April. I was glad too, because, like I
said, I'm a fan of path of a spring colored lingerie.

like someone said that the tall guy with the dreads was friends
with the organizer and we would love to know if it's possible if
you could pass our infront. I was like wait you're going to
hit me up to fucking get out something else.

I was like ain't this a bitch? I said you won't have me.

Well, so now that we're talking about the little black dress,
how was it? What was the turn out?
I mean, I was there. It was a good party, but yeah.

You know, and you can answer this, Dean, I would say going
back to the early days, May was huge for some reason, like in
the early days, because remember, we had May parties.
Is the the party we talked abouton the episode probably like
came out before this I'm guessing, but about how we got

started with parties and how we got kicked off at the other
site. Not that was in May.
No, that comes out later, so late.
So listeners that will come out later, you'll hear more about
this story. Yeah, you had a whole story
later then. But yeah, because the next party
was June over at Honey, the one we were talking about a downtown
party. But yeah, so May used to be, you
know, we get 600 people in May. But over the years, some couple

of things happen, Fish and opener.
Then the next week, the first week is usually fish and opener.
So for a long time near that wasa big fucking pain in the ass.
You know, people want to go fishing.
I'm like, are you seriously going to pass up this shit for
fishing? But the next week is Mother's
Day weekend, and you know this, the 24th usually the sort of
that last weekend is Memorial Day.

So there's only a sweet spot where you can have a party in
May. Now that doesn't really hinder
you. So May's always and the weather
is dependent in May too, I wouldsay.
Don't you think so? If it's a warmer, we as party
promoters don't. Like it?
Yeah, if it, if it's warmer, if it's a nice day, people are
starting to go up to the cabin or.
Especially at the beginning of summer, we haven't had hot

weather yet or it's not been real nice.
The first night Sprint. Everybody's overly outside, you
know what I mean? They're.
Let's just say for the listenersoutside of Minnesota, it was not
a nice warm weekend. No, the opposite.
We had frost warning weekend. Yeah.
So May is, you know, it could gogiant or it could go, you know,
normal. So I would say this one was a

little bit more than normal, youknow, a little bit above normal
for a party wise, but I thought it was a good party to go by.
You know what I mean? Little black dress is always fun
because the women don't complainto me about they couldn't find
anything because everyone. Everyone has the black dress.

Friday night that the hotel was not a total takeover on Friday
night wasn't. They had their doors open.
Yeah, there was one. I looked in the door and they're
standing around the island and one guy is just sitting there

Well, he's just behind her goingat her.
I was like, and I was like, guys, I can hear you all the way
down the hall. And that was the second room.
I had already told another room that we didn't have the whole
hotel on Friday night. They people were in a party

complained or anything. I think they just, I just people

were coming back from the bar, getting settled in.
Yeah. And it's always better when we
have two day hotel takeovers. But yeah, no, Friday night was
pretty good. I like Friday night.
That's a good place there because if you are new, let me
tell you this, if you are new, go to the Friday nights if you
can. Friday night will allow you to

chance to get out and talk to people in a little more quiet
setting. I can't stress this enough
because a lot of times people will come in and I met a girl in
a dance where there's past partyand she's just there in
headlights and I just stood nextto her and started dancing.
I was like you're actually goes.I'm just a little overwhelmed
and I was like, if they probablycame Friday night, they probably
met some friends, have some people to talk to, have some

people to dance with on the dance floor.
So do yourself a favor, come foreven if you can't stay or
whatever the case may be, just come.
So it'll it'll ease you into Saturday night.
It's definitely a good. And then you're not standing
there half naked with people you've never seen before.
Yeah, Friday night people are tend to get they're sexy, but.

Yeah, get sexy, make yourself feel sexy, but.
But you know sexy where you can go out and you know in public
maybe not want to run into people you work with type of
sexy, but still sexy. You know it's sexy happy hour,

Yeah. Fridays are a good way to mix
and mingle, talk to friends, kind of get the socializing too

out of the way. So that way Saturday comes, you
can kind of put yourself out there and meet new people.
I've seen a lot of. People that use Friday nights
for Yeah. And don't get us wrong, we're
sounding like Friday nights. The fucking bingo at the old
folks home. No, they're still fucking on
Friday nights. Oh.
Yeah, like I said, we had to tell them to quiet down.
They were fucking. Going out everywhere, fucking.

And sometimes Friday night is hotel takeovers.
Yeah, you have. To pay attention to the the
invite because we tell you whether or not Friday is a
takeover or not. I'll be honest with you, I
probably better setups on Fridaynight because me, I'm talking to
me personally because I got lessshit to do, you know what I
mean? Friday night is actually a night
that I can chew on party too, soI can work more on my after

hours aspect than I can on a Saturday night.
Saturday night I'm running around the whole time, but
Friday nights, I love Friday nights because that's that's my
time to have some fun. So yeah, ladies, if.
So we've talked about the springformal mansion party, we've
talked about the little black dress hotel takeover.
So now you have a whole different type of party coming

up here in the next week. How?
About that one. And we got a lot of like the
last party, little black dress. I know there's so many new
people. I, I swear to you when I go to
these parties, 5050 or 6040, newpeople, like this is my first
event. I met so many people who I
couldn't point out of a lineup from previous events.
Agreed and. So with that being said, with

all the new people on, some of you probably because we've just
been doing these downtown events, the Dean and I, what was
our, what was our first ever downtown event.
Like event, event or. No, like we used to do club
events. I'm talking about like like the
first like not a meet and greet but.

I think that was at Honey. Was honey our first one?

I think so, yeah. No clue what honey is.
Honey is a 2/2 was yeah, 2009 orwhatever.
We did New Year's Day. We were actually the first event
that they ever had that they ever had.
Then they become like a pretty big nightclub downtown and we
actually tell the story about how we did our first our first

WC nights, our first WC Nights event at Honey.
And we told us during another episode that we won't ruin it
for you, but it goes in how we had to adjust our plans on the
fly there. But yeah, but not downtown we
love. Stay tuned.
Events. We used to do the same place you
used to do them at David the producer, the lounge slash Rouge

that was. That's where we ended.

It was an intimate setting I like.
So what's? Two, I thought it was really.
So what's this one going to be like?
This is at the Brass Rails, Brass Rail events.
So the reason why we started doing the about two years ago we
started doing the brass Rail events because you know, swing
season goes from September to May.
And what that simply means is once May hits after Memorial

Day, the event season kind of slows down.
So you got cabins and camping and boat and weddings and all
that stuff happened. So the events sort of take a
back seat. So we didn't do them for years
just because it it wasn't town worthy or lucrative to us in any
type of way. So we started seeing a pickup
about two years ago and people were looking for things to do in

the summertime, so. We say, I feel like the calendar
is busier in the summer these years, these past couple years.
It picked up. So we do events.
We've done events of years with the Gay 90s and the Gay 90s,
actually our partner, our own, the Brass Rail.
So we do, if you. And it was right after COVID.
Isn't that why we started doing the Brass Rail?

So, you know, they were trying to pick up business.
They were trying to get back. In Yeah.
And they actually asked us to host an event there for them to,
you know, get some, get some business going.
Yeah, so we know the GM after the 90s, we work with her for
you. You've worked with her on events
too. So we we've been working hard
for 15 years now with stuff. And yeah, it was after COVID and
(22:10):
she was like, I got this new barand, you know, we want people to
come back downtown. So with us saying, you know, the
the crowd, our crowd is startingto pick up with activity in the
summer from years past and they want business.
So we said, let's try it. And the first year we did it, we
thought it was pretty successful.
In the second year, which was last year, it kind of got really
big where a lot of people wantedto do it.

So yeah, we kept it up, brought it back.
This year we're going to have a skin event June 7th, I want to
say. Is that that first Saturday?
June What is the skin event? It means you going to dress
sexy, show some skin. And the reason why is because at
this place you can be topless. You can wear lingerie in there.
They have a, a topless license. They even have strippers there.
They got cool concept. What do you think about this?

Dave is a producer on Thursday nights there.
They have 35 plus strippers. I see your face.
That was a that was a baby face.He's on his head like.
Man, I'm not really. I mean, I've been to, I can give
an opinion. I've been to a couple of the 35
plus nights. What do you think?

Strip clubs. Here's why I think it's a good
idea though. And I actually asked one of the
strippers this and she was just like, yeah look, 35 plus night.
I got 2-3 dudes that are regulars that come in here and
they go ahead, they get a couplewhiskeys.
They just want to sit and talk alittle bit and they spend a
hundred 5200 bucks. She got three of them dudes, you

know what I mean? She don't need a bunch of young
boys coming here sweating on herfor $10 here and there at night.
And I like the mature chick, youknow what I mean?
And as we listen on to I like mature porn.
So there's guys out there and the dudes that do like it going
to have some money in their pocket, a little change and
they're trying to get $10 lap dances.
So I think the concept is going from a business standpoint, but

It's just us. And you only do two of these a

year, right? Two right now so how the summer
schedule lays out is we do one of these in June, we got the the
big mansion one in July and then.

We have other summer events. So we have meet and greet
throughout the summer. You'll see some stuff for pool
parties throughout the summer, things like that.

and we have a new person that we're going to have some parties

So things definitely still keep heated up in the summer, you
know, even though swinging season, it almost seems like
swinging in Minnesota has becomea four season gig where it used
to be a three season gig during the summer, everyone was busy
boating and going to their cabins and families and all
that. Now people are like, well,

some confusion of new people, some hotel takeovers or some
parties you might go to. You can bring your drinks in or

cash bar. So make sure you remember that
it's not BYOB. It's not anything like that.
You can't bring anything in, so it's not like other lifestyle

parties you may have gone to or heard about or read about.
This is actually, like I said, for the clothing is the same for
alcohol and anything bringing itin the venue's rules will
supersede lifestyle rules, so just remember that also.
Any other good notes for the upcoming events?
I would say also look for the downtown event.
Get a hotel if you can. I mean if you can't cool Uber,

make sure you at least Uber so you can relax, have a good time
where you want to have a good time.
If you drink, make sure you're able to Uber and do that.
But even if you don't drink, don't worry about the stress of
parking and driving Uber or whatever now or get a room if
you can't, getting a room it alland there is a hotel right
across the street. The AC Hotel is right from here,
but it's when I say right acrossthe street, it would be the

equivalent of if you went from the ballroom in the Crown to a
far off room like it's right across the street.
You need to go to the bathroom. If you need to go relax, you
need to go. You and your partner need to go
work some shit out, you need to go have sex.

We're full blast because when summer hits, you know, real life

But we had spring formal. That was our mansion party,

This is at the Brass Rails, Brass Rail events.
So the reason why we started doing the about two years ago we
started doing the brass Rail events because you know, swing
season goes from September to May.
And what that simply means is once May hits after Memorial

Day, the event season kind of slows down.
So you got cabins and camping and boat and weddings and all
that stuff happened. So the events sort of take a
back seat. So we didn't do them for years
just because it it wasn't town worthy or lucrative to us in any
type of way. So we started seeing a pickup
about two years ago and people were looking for things to do in

the summertime, so. We say, I feel like the calendar
is busier in the summer these years, these past couple years.
It picked up. So we do events.
We've done events of years with the Gay 90s and the Gay 90s,
actually our partner, our own, the Brass Rail.
So we do, if you. And it was right after COVID.

So, you know, they were trying to pick up business.

And they actually asked us to host an event there for them to,

for 15 years now with stuff. And yeah, it was after COVID and

she was like, I got this new barand, you know, we want people to
come back downtown. So with us saying, you know, the
the crowd, our crowd is startingto pick up with activity in the
summer from years past and they want business.
So we said, let's try it. And the first year we did it, we
thought it was pretty successful.
In the second year, which was last year, it kind of got really
big where a lot of people wantedto do it.

So yeah, we kept it up, brought it back.
This year we're going to have a skin event June 7th, I want to
say. Is that that first Saturday?
June What is the skin event? It means you going to dress

clothes would have been better than.

that if a guy has on, you're like, oh, you look at his shirt,

Obviously the whole outfit. Yeah, I look at the whole
outfit, but I like clothes that and and you don't have to even
be, you know, like the tall, thin guy, but I like like

clothes that fit you well and, you know, like.

It's about showing that you're putting in the effort that they
say, well, if you're willing to put in the effort to dress up a
little bit and look nice, then you're willing to put in the
effort to do what you need to doto get into here exactly.

Don't just step out of the comfort zone a little bit for
the events. Leave the baseball cap at home.

I go back and forth and text messages and she's trying to get
me to buy that $80 shirt and I'mlike, hell no, I'll go with the
$20 Target special, thank you. But try a little bit, you know?
She, she has been separating me to buy more and more stuff ever

since, like the cruise, Like he's, he's been balancing.
Remember, we went to the store. We went to a hot fashion store.
He was going to get a show. Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, I got some nice clothes. She's wearing me down a little
bit. But you know, and I say that to
say like, I get it that swingingcan be expensive, these events.
Oh, it's an expensive sport, baby people.
It's an expensive it is. And so, you know, you, you don't

have to wear the nicest, you know, most expensive thing, but
at least put some effort in. Put get a nice shirt, get some
nice pants, some nice shoes and put in a little effort.
I recently saw some cute dressesand I don't want to promote them
right now but I just saw some cute dresses at Target.

I mean what I'm just saying likeyou can find them, you know like
cheaper and go to consignment shops and see what you can find.
And I would be. Go to go to a consignment shop
in an expensive area that, that is the the key I think you know,
and, and you can find name brandstuff or cheap, you know, put a

little effort into it if you don't, even if you don't have
money to pay $100 for a dress orwhatever.
And at the hotel takeovers, keepan eye on the lingerie exchange
because sometimes there's dresses and clothing on there
too you can exchange. So I mean, I know in the past we
haven't. I'm sure if people put their old
dresses that they want to swap out, no one's going to take them

off so. God damn liar to you if I didn't
tell you that. Just a woman sometimes saying
like, oh, this looks nice on your that looks nice.
Wasn't my conversation starter and that didn't end up being
that thing for me. So I would be lying to you if I
didn't tell you that hasn't happened to me before.
Dudes telling you try. You're going to beat some dudes

out just by trying. The other thing I want to
mention about this too is just so you know, and this might be
some confusion of new people, some hotel takeovers or some
parties you might go to. You can bring your drinks in or
you can bring this is a bar. This is a, you know, it's a full
cash bar. So make sure you remember that
it's not BYOB. It's not anything like that.
You can't bring anything in, so it's not like other lifestyle

parties you may have gone to or heard about or read about.
This is actually, like I said, for the clothing is the same for
alcohol and anything bringing itin the venue's rules will
supersede lifestyle rules, so just remember that also.
Any other good notes for the upcoming events?
I would say also look for the downtown event.
Get a hotel if you can. I mean if you can't cool Uber,

make sure you at least Uber so you can relax, have a good time
where you want to have a good time.
If you drink, make sure you're able to Uber and do that.
But even if you don't drink, don't worry about the stress of
parking and driving Uber or whatever now or get a room if
you can't, getting a room it alland there is a hotel right
across the street. The AC Hotel is right from here,
but it's when I say right acrossthe street, it would be the

equivalent of if you went from the ballroom in the Crown to a
far off room like it's right across the street.
You need to go to the bathroom. If you need to go relax, you
need to go. You and your partner need to go
work some shit out, you need to go have sex.
It is literally right across thestreet.
It would be less walking from the pool at the crown to the
party room. I've heard couples that, you

know, they come over to the bar,they take a couple up, they go
to the room or across the streetand then they come back to the
bar. That's a quick trip.
It might take another couple. I mean, it's that close.
There was a tunnel, it would be right across.
The you could play a couple of rounds that night, you know, you
never. Know yes so definitely if you
can get a room at AC or at leastat the very least Uber so you
