Andrew Rogencamp (00:48):
Hey there. My
name is Andrew Roggenkamp. This
is a podcast we plan to do eachmonth, certainly for the year of
2020, and we'll see how nextyear goes. But what we want to
talk about a lot is B2B and B2Ce commerce. E commerce,
especially B2B e commerce was inits absolute infancy twenty
years ago.
And my business partner andfounder of Commerce Vision
(01:08):
decided that it was going to bea really important thing, and he
was right. Here we are twentyyears later, and really, really
in the last couple of years, certainly B2B has become the
flavor of the day and everybodyis talking about B2B e commerce
and how it can really change theworld. I think that's saying a
lot, but if you think about thedifference between B2B and B2C,
(01:30):
B2C has introduced a differentway for people to shop. It's
sort of taken people out of theretail stores and bought them
online, whereas B2B, it's prettyexciting. It's got some great
ways of gaining efficiencies inthe supply chain and increasing
customer service throughout thatsupply chain as well.
So I think B2B is especiallyexciting in the e commerce
(01:52):
world. What I want to do isshare what I've learned and what
my colleagues have learned overthe last twenty years to help
other people out there achievetheir digital dreams. So over
the coming months, we're goingto be talking to various topics.
Some of them, it'll just be metalking, but a lot of them,
we're going to be interviewingpeople in our industry down here
in Australia, they representsome of the largest companies in
the world. We're going to betalking to some guys from
(02:14):
ChannelAdvisor, certainly aboutthe Amazon Marketplace, some
people about email marketing, especially in the B2B arena.
We're going to be talking tosomebody from a company called
Bunzl, which is a pretty big B2Bdistribution company, and some
other special guests as the yeargoes on. So stay tuned for that.
