starting your video podcastbefore the end of 2023.
This is crucial because this iswhat I started doing, you know,
in 2019.
It's what started it all, whichhas helped me grow Elevate
(00:46):
Media and many others grow theirbrands and businesses.
So we're going to dive intothat why you need to have a
video podcast before the end ofthe year.
All right, to kick things off,I'm going to talk about how
powerful video podcasting is.
We all know video content istaking the internet by storm and
it's not going to stop.
People are watching more videosthan ever before and, guess
(01:08):
what?
They want to see you on camera.

It's not just about audioanymore.
It's about creating a visualconnection with your audience.
Whether you're sharing insights, interviewing experts or simply
having a candid conversation, video podcasts are ways you can
(01:29):
engage your viewers on a wholenew level.
So let's talk about how we cancapitalize on these current
trends within video podcasting.
We all know that podcasting ingeneral has been on the rise for
multiple years.
We saw the boom during COVID.
The convenience of consumingcontent on the go, whether
(01:50):
during commutes, workouts orleisure time, has made podcasts
a go-to choice for informationand entertainment.
However, here's where theexcitement begins.
The video podcasting landscapeis still relatively untapped.
As of today, audio podcastsdominate the scene, but their
video counterparts are catchingup fast.
(02:13):
By getting into video podcastingbefore the end of 2003, you're
not just riding the wave ofpodcasting popularity, you're
positioning yourself as an earlyadopter, and that's where the
magic's going to happen.
Early adopters have a uniqueadvantage to your presence and
authority in a less crowdedspace.
So think about it Whilecountless audio-only podcasts
(02:37):
are competing for listeners'attention, there's a gap in the
market for engaging video-drivencontent.
This means you have theopportunity to stand out
prominently in the sea ofaudio-only podcasts within your
market.
Your potential audience is notjust interested in hearing you.
They want to see you.
They want to connect with youvisually and engage on a deeper
(02:58):
level.
By harnessing the power ofvideo, you're not only providing
valuable content, but alsocreating a more personal
connection with your viewers.
Beyond just standing out, videopodcasting allows you to reach
a broader audience hungry forthat video content.
Think about the platformspeople spend their time on most
(03:19):
YouTube, instagram, tiktokthey're all about visual.
By delivering your content andvideo form, you're meeting your
audience where they are, andthat's a recipe for rapid growth
, especially if you're justgetting started or early on in

opening doors to a wider, moreengaged audience.
The time to act is now and therewards are immense.
Video podcasting also will helpyou build authority and build

your solo episodes or engaginginterviews with experts, you
become more than just a name inyour niche.

increased interest in yourproducts and services.
It's like having a 24-7branding machine working in the
background.
You post one video and it'severgreen.
It's always there for people tofind.
Think about some of the mostinfluential figures and
companies out there.
Many of them have leveragedvideo podcasts to enhance their
brand presence.
It's not just about what yousay, it's about how you say it

and the visual impact it creates.

(05:32):
Authenticity is a cornerstone ofsuccessful branding and video
podcasts are an excellent mediumfor showcasing it.
You're able to see the person'smanureisms, their facial
expression, their body language.
You get to see some of theirpersonality within their
background and the decor thatthey have around them.
It really opens up that doorand builds more trust.

(06:40):
They can be the cornerstone ofyour entire content strategy,
adding layers of value andengagement.

But that's just the beginning.
You can break down that episodeinto smaller, digestible clips
(07:00):
and share them on all yoursocial media platforms.
These snippets act as teasers, giving your audience a taste of
the valuable content you'reoffering.
They serve as effective hooksto draw viewers into your full
episodes.
But we're not done yet.
Those insightful conversationsyou have in your video podcast
can be transcribed and turnedinto well-crafted blog posts.
(07:23):
This not only repurposes yourcontent, but also caters to
those who prefer writteninformation.
It's a win-win.

existing content effortsseamlessly.
It adds a fresh perspective toyour content mix and attracts
different audience segments.
(08:30):
Some people prefer watching, others reading and some engaging

There's a lot that goes intostarting a video podcast, and
there are things that I'm goingto come up with that I'm up to
(11:21):
overcome.
So we're going to dive intosome of those common obstacles
that might be holding you backfrom starting your video podcast
.
Trust me, these challenges aresurmattable, and I've seen
countless podcasters conquerthem on their way to success.
First, of course, the easy oneis equipment.
It's so easy to get overwhelmedby the many types of cameras,
(11:41):
microphones and gear availableout there to you.
The truth is, you don't needthe most expensive equipment to
get started.
Start with what you have, whether it's a decent smartphone
and a budget-friendlymicrophone.
As you grow, you can invest inbetter gear, but starting out,
you really need to focus onaudio quality first.
Make sure your audio quality ison par, even for a video
(12:04):
podcast, and I would recommendjust using your webcam on your
laptop to start instead of yourphone, unless you know how to
hook your phone into thecomputer and get it to work as
the webcam, it just brings inanother hassle.
But if you can do the onethat's already on your laptop,
that's going to be the simplestway.
Instead, as you go, you canimprove and invest in new
equipment as you grow and as youget the funds to do so.
(12:27):
Now you might also be wonderingabout video editing, audio
production or even setting upyour own podcast hosting
platform.
So here's the good news thereare so many online resources,
courses and communities that canhelp you.
Even here at Elevate Media, wecan launch your video podcast
for you, so you don't have toworry about it.
But through these freeresources online, you can learn
(12:47):
the basics of audio and videoediting.

DaVinci, resolve, and forpodcast hosting there are places

very user-friendly, and you canalso subscribe to this podcast,
the Elevate Media Podcast, wherewe talk to different experts
who share how they've overcometo be successful in business.
(13:09):
I talk about how to do videopodcasting better, how to grow
and things of that nature.
But remember, everyone startssomewhere.
So begin by reaching out topeople in your network or within
your niche.
Explain the value they'll getfrom being on your podcast.
Over time, as your podcastgains traction, you'll find it
easier to attract high-profileguests.
You'll learn about buildingrelationships and providing
(13:30):
value.
Consistency can also be a hurdle.
Sticking to a regular recordingschedule and releasing episodes
on time is crucial for buildingyour audience.
Create a content calendar, batch record episodes as much as
possible and then set realisticgoals.
This will help you maintain asteady flow of content and keep
your audience engaged.
(13:51):
And lastly, don't let the fearof not having a perfect first
episode hold you back.
Remember you'll improve witheach episode you create.
Start now, learn as you go andrefine your podcasting skills
over time.
Your early episodes will serveas a testament to your progress,
just like mine, my first onewhich are terrible, and your
audience will appreciate yourauthenticity.
(14:12):
So there you have it.
These are some common obstaclesthat are just bumps in the road
to successful video podcasts.
Embrace them.
They're part of the journey andyou'll find that, with
determination, a willingness tolearn and a supportive community
, you can overcome anything thatstands in your way.
So the bottom line is you havean incredible opportunity.
