Speaker 1 (00:00):
The Erica Show on G and I five. Y'all, Trevor
lied and that karma hit him right in the face.
We were in San Diego for radio morning show boot
Camp and which all.
Speaker 2 (00:08):
Radio big conference.
Speaker 1 (00:09):
Yeah, people from all over come together and so we
see people that we don't often see. But you lied
and got busted.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (00:16):
So I was invited to dinner with I didn't want
to go to this dinner.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
I just didn't.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
I wanted to go to dinner with Erica and just
have a little date night the two of us, because
you know, we don't see each other enough.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
No, it wasn't because we had been with so many people.
It was gonna be a nice just like, let's go
decompressed from the door.
Speaker 2 (00:33):
To be able to crap talk with you. Yeah, them
get the tea.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
And so I was like, no, you know, I can't
go to dinner, guys. I have so much work. I'm
on the phone with my boss and all the stuff.
Speaker 1 (00:41):
These are guys that invited you to the pool.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
It doesn't sound guys.
Speaker 3 (00:45):
It doesn't sound anyway. So we went to dinner, you
and I. You called an uber. You made a reservation,
very nice restaurant.
Speaker 1 (00:53):
Yeah, we were excited about the steak dinner. It was
gonna be so yummy, our one splurge for the weekend.
Speaker 3 (00:57):
So the uber pulls up to this restaurant. I look
out the window with the Uber and who is sitting
on the patio of this very nice restaurant. The people
that invited me to dinner read I lied too. I
said I can't go to dinner.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
So and before.
Speaker 1 (01:10):
Y'all, before explaining anything, we're in this uber. He jumps
out of the uber, ducks down and says get down,
and he runs down the street and I'm like, wtf
is happening? Like, what is happening?
Speaker 3 (01:21):
I ran down the block and around the corner so
they couldn't see me. Immediately saw this petty cab like
the bicycle with the carriage on the back. I hopped
in without even saying anything to the guy, and I'm like,
you need to take us to a steakhouse, but not
that one, and we have to go around this way.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Meanwhile, I'm limping down the street in high hills like
in San Diego, Like okay, I'm coming, just waddling down
and I.
Speaker 2 (01:38):
Hop in this bike with you. It cost me over
sixty dollars of us. Yeah, it was not. It was
instant karma that I spent sixty dollars. It was a
fun ride though on the Uber would have cost like
seven dollars for that.
Speaker 1 (01:52):
Which we had just paid for the Uber to take
us to the other restaurant.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Anyway, So that lie was instant karma for me. But
we did have a nice dinner. So what lie did
you tell? And you got instinct karma back at you?
Nine nine, eight, six one five one.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
If I it's the Erica Show, when's the last time
you lied? And you ended up with instant karma? Like
Trevor over the weekend at radio boot camp, lie into
other radio people.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
Yeah, it was our conference that we were at.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
I lied and said I couldn't go to dinner with
a group of people because I was too busy and
I just wanted to go with Erica.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
So we pulled up. They were at the restaurant that
we had reservations at.
Speaker 3 (02:25):
And so I had to duck and get into like
a petty cab and it cost me sixty dollars to
speed away anyway. So five one.
Speaker 1 (02:34):
Elizabeth, when's the last time you lied? And it cost
you some karma?
Speaker 4 (02:37):
So this guy one time I asked to like go out,
and I fled into that wasn't feeling well, so we
were gonna have to take a rain check. But I
ended up going out with my friends instead. I just
didn't want to go out with the guy, and we
went out downtown Raleigh and I ended up seeing that
guy at a bar with another girl. Oh, that was
(02:59):
kind of like instant karma, because it's kind of awkward,
but it also kind of worked out like in the
long run, because yeah, that is
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Kind of instant karma, Like you were replaced like that.
