Co-laboring with God creates a powerful partnership for entrepreneurs, removing the pressure of having to do everything alone while still honoring our responsibility to take action. This balance between faith and works empowers us to work diligently while trusting God with the results, creating both peace and productivity in our business endeavors.

• Everyone has a ministry and purpose assigned by God, regardless of whether they recognize it
• True entrepreneurial success comes from doing our best while trusting God to fill in the gaps
• "Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain" (Psalm 127:1)
• Faith without works is dead, but salvation comes through faith, not our works
• Struggle isn't always negative - it's often how we grow and develop necessary skills
• Persistence is key: "let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap if we do not give up"
• Business can be ministry when we use our gifts to serve others while still being compensated
• Work heartily as unto the Lord, not for human validation or approval

Remember that you are not alone in building your business. Do your absolute best with the skills and passion God has given you, then trust Him with the results.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right.
So the power of co-laboringwith God and this is one of
those topics that every weekthat we do a fearless faith
session, one of the things I dois I always say, okay, god, what
do you want me to share?
What do you want me to sharetoday?
And today I got up.
I had a big webinar last night.

(00:20):
Maybe you were on there we hada lot of people on in our last
night Maybe you were on there wehad a lot of people on.
We had over 350 people registerand we had about 50% of those
people were on last night.
So it was a huge thing.
And I got up this morning early.
I was up late last night, upearly this morning, and so I
hadn't had a lot of time tothink about what I wanted to
share today.

(00:41):
And I just sat down at my deskthis morning.
I was like, okay, god, what doyou want me to talk about?
And this thought came to myhead about co-laborers with God.
And, to be truthful, when Isaid that a post from my buddy,
ray Higdon and I'm going to pullit up real quick so I can read
it to you he posted it yesterdayon Facebook and that quote

(01:05):
actually came to my mind, andthat quote was let me just make
sure that I'm reading itcorrectly oh yeah, and here was
the post.
He said trusting God, isn't yourelying on him to do the work
for you?
And that post came to my mindthis morning when I started
thinking about this co-laboringwith God concept, and so for me,

(01:30):
that's what came to mind andthat's what we're going to talk
about this morning.
So just a reminder, guys, asyou're here, do me a favor, just
comment, heart it, let me knowthat you're here.
And that helps me, okay, so ithelps the group too.
It helps us to push this out tomore people in the group.
So one of the the one secondhere, there we go.
So one of the verses are theverses of scripture I want to

(01:55):
start with this morning.
That is very important, and I'mgoing to read this and this
will kind of set the tone forwhat I want to talk about here.
And I've got a bunch of otherverses too I want to refer to,
but 1 Corinthians 3, starting inverse 5.
And so I want you to listen tothis, and I'm reading from the

(02:15):
Passion Translation, and you canread this in many other
translations.
I really like how the PassionTranslation puts this and I just
want to be clear too to youguys that there's no one
translation, because I see thisdebate a lot.
There's no one translation thatis perfect.
Every translation has errors.

(02:35):
The goal is when you're goingto the scripture.
I love to compare and contrastdifferent translations.
It broadens the understanding.
It helps me see things.
I also like to go in and useand look at some of the Greek
words that things are.
One of the great softwares thatI use that I love.
I've been using it for manyyears.
It's called eSword, so e-sword,and it's a great app.

(03:03):
You can put it on your computer, you can put it on your phone.
When I go to church on Sunday,I got my Bible on my phone and I
pull up eSword on my phone andI can go and I can pull up all
different translations.
I can compare and contrast.
But anyway, this verse here, 1Corinthians 3, verse 5, I like
how the Passion Translation putsit and it says who is Apollos
really, or who is Paul?

(03:23):
Aren't we just both servantsthrough whom you believed our
message?
Aren't each of us doing theministry the Lord has assigned
to us?
So this is very important.
I want to point this out, andthen we're going to continue
here.
Every single one of you have aministry.
Okay, now, if you are not afaith-based person, you might go

(03:45):
.
I don't have a ministry, butyou do.
Whether you accept that idea ornot, it's true, because you
have something that you'repassionate about.
Every one of us have somethingthat we're passionate about, and
the goal of that passion thatis in you for something it
wasn't just put there by chance.

(04:06):
You have this passion becauseGod put that in you.
He gave you the talents tocarry it out, he gave you the
wherewithal to go out and sharethe message that you need to
share with people, and mymessage and my mission is to
help others, equip others to goout and share that message.

(04:28):
So everybody has a part in whatwe do, and so one of the things
that he says here and there,we're both just servants and
each of us is doing the ministrythe Lord has assigned to us.
So question is what is theministry that the Lord has
assigned to you?
A couple of weeks ago, we hadTom on and Tom talked about how

(04:51):
his mission was really to go outand help people understand the
idea of gratitude.
He talked about a story.
If you guys haven't checkedthat, log into the members area
and check that it's here in thegroup also.
But you want to check thatstory out?
Everybody has a mission andeverybody has a purpose that God
has assigned them.
Okay, so let's continue in versesix.

(05:12):
I was the one who planted thechurch and Apollos came and
cared for it, but it was God whocaused it to grow.
Very important, okay.
When we talk about co-laboringwith God, this verse is very
crucial.
I was the one who planted.
This is Paul speaking.
I was the one who planted thechurch and Apollos came and

(05:34):
cared for it, but it was God whocaused it to grow.
Let's keep going.
Verse 7, this means the one whoplants is not anybody special,
nor the one who waters, for Godis the one who brings the
supernatural growth.
Now, the one who plants and theone who waters are equally

(05:56):
important and on the same team, but each will be rewarded for
his own work.
Verse 9, we are co-workers.
That word co-workers meansco-laborers or fellow laborers
with God, and you are God'scultivated garden, the house he

(06:16):
is building.
So here's the thing, and I haveto be reminded of this on a
regular basis myself.
Sometimes, we get caught up inthe idea that everything we do
is dependent upon our ownability.
And this, honestly, this isexactly what the devil wants you
to believe.
He wants you to believe that.

(06:36):
He wants you to believe thatyou have to do it all on your
own, because the moment youbelieve that your stress levels
can go up, your fear can beincreased, and that's ultimately
what he wants.
See, but when we have God inour corner, and when we
recognize God, that he is in ourcorner, we can then go and do

(07:00):
something with peace and knowthat, hey, I'm going to do the
best, that I know how, I'm goingto do the best with the
abilities that God has given meand I'm going to go out there,
but I'm going to rely on God forthe results.
And this is the mindset shiftthat we want to have as
believing entrepreneurs, becausea lot of times we're looking

(07:21):
for results.
Now, here's the thing we alwayswant to be improving.
You can't just go out there andgive a half-hearted effort and
then expect God to fill in thegaps.
You have to give it everythingyou got.
The scripture says in manydifferent places that when you
do something, do it witheverything you have in you.
It says work heartily unto theLord.

(07:44):
The scripture says Workheartily unto the Lord.
In other words, put everythingyou got into it, invest in
yourself, invest in your skillsets, invest in you.
And when you do that, as you dothat and as you take action,
doing the best that you know todo, that's where God can fill in
the gaps, because he knowsyou're putting your heart and

(08:06):
soul into what you're doing andyou're doing it heartily unto
God and not unto men.
That's what the scripture says.
So, guys, if this is gellingwith you, I'd love to see some
comments and hearts as well.
We've got a few people watching, but I'd love your feedback too
.
So here we go.
I'm going to share a couplemore verses with you on this,
because I believe that this issuch an important thing for us

(08:28):
to get as believers, especiallybelieving entrepreneurs.
So 1 Corinthians 9.
So we just shared this, this, but we are fellow workers.
You are god's field, god'sbuilding.
Philippians 2 13.
For it is god who works in you, both to will and to work for
his good pleasure.

(08:49):
Again, this goes back to whatpaul was saying.
Okay, in verse 5.
Who is apollos really?
Or who is paul?
Aren't we both just servantsthrough whom you believed our
message?
Aren't each of us doing theministry that the Lord has
called us to?
You see the skills, the passionyou put in your part.

(09:09):
God inspires that within youand the results you leave up to
him.
You continue to do your best, you continue to press forward
and learn and do the things youknow to do, but God will supply
that.
So, james 2.7,.
This is why understanding thatreal faith in God, real faith in

(09:31):
our Lord and Savior, jesusChrist, james 2.7,.
So also faith by itself, if itdoes not have works, is dead.
So when we have faith, it mustbe followed by works.
Now, there's a very importantdistinction here.

(09:52):
Okay, we are not saved by ourworks.
This is very important tounderstand.
Salvation is very important tounderstand.
Salvation is a gift.
Salvation is a gift.
It's very easy to receivesalvation.
Okay, so we are not justified byour works.
The scripture makes that clear.
We are justified by the work ofj Jesus, by his works justified

(10:17):
us.
So make sure you understandthat when you are doing works,
you are always going to fallshort.
Always, no matter what we do,we'll always fall short.
But that's where we have themediator, jesus Christ, between
us and God.
He fills that gap for us andthat's why that's important to

(10:38):
understand.
So when you fall short, youjust simply hey, god, I'm sorry,
please forgive me, I'm movingforward.
Jesus filled that gap for meand worked to not do it again.
It's really that simple.
So that's very important.
So faith is followed by works,co-laboring with God.
This is this back and forth wehave with God Ephesians 2.10,.

(11:01):
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good
works, which God preparedbeforehand that we should walk
in them.
John 15.5,.
I am the vine, you are thebranches.
Whoever abides in me and I inhim, he it is that bears much
fruit.
For apart from me, you are thebranches.
Whoever abides in me and I inhim, he it is that bears much
fruit.
For apart from me, you can donothing.

(11:22):
Huge, that's a big deal From.
Apart from me, you can donothing.
God says in the scripture withGod, all things are possible.
Okay, colossians 3, 23 and 24.
Whatever you do this goes backto what I was saying here Work
heartily as for the Lord and notfor men, knowing that from the

(11:44):
Lord you will receive theinheritance as your reward.
You are serving the Lord Christ.
So, whatever you do, workheartily for the Lord and not
for men, and this is a reminderI need too.
I'm not saying this I have thisperfect all the time.
I certainly don't.
I always a work in progress too, but this is such an important

(12:06):
thing for us to remember to knowOkay, so work heartily unto God
.
Proverbs 16, 3,.
Commit your work to the Lordand your plans will be
established.
So when you do your part, sayit to God.
You know what God.
I'm going to do my best.
I'm going to do the best that Iknow I'm leaving the results up

(12:27):
to you.
But it says when you commityour work to the Lord, your
plans will be established.
Your plans will be establishedUnless.
Psalm 127.1,.
Unless the Lord builds thehouse, those who build it labor
in vain.
Unless the Lord watches overthe city, the watchman stays

(12:48):
awake in vain.
This is such an important verse.
Listen to this Unless the Lordbuilds the house, those who
build it labor in vain.
Think about that.
Are you building a business orare you building a house and not
letting God direct you?
Because it says here that, unless the Lord builds a house,
those who build it labor in vain.
I don't know about you, but Idon't want to labor in vain.

(13:09):
That's not what I want.
Do you want to build it in vain?
Probably not.
Galatians 6, 9, and let us notgrow weary of doing good, for in
due season we shall reap if wefaint, not so for those of you
out there that are building abusiness and you're asking that
question, why am I struggling?

(13:30):
Why am I not getting theresults that I think I should?
God says and let us not growweary in doing good, for in due
season we will reap if we do notgive up.
Okay, and that is so important.
If we do not give up, if we'reoperating in our assignment that

(13:52):
God has given us, sometimeswe're thinking man, when is this
going to kick off?
When is this going to happen?
It says right here if we do notgive up.
That's when it will happen atthe right time, so important.
Hebrews 13, 21,.
Equip you with everything goodthat you may do his will.
According in us that which ispleasing in his sight, so God

(14:17):
will equip us with everythinggood that we may do his will.
He will give us everything thatwe need in order to do his will
Working in us that which ispleasing in his sight through
Christ Jesus, to whom be gloryforever and ever, amen.
So God's going to give us thetools, the strategies, the
people, the places he's going toprovide all that for us.

(14:39):
The people, the places he'sgoing to provide all that for us
.
Sounds like an awesome life, doesn't it?
It is, but it only requires onething from us, and that is
faith in him that he's going tofill the gaps for us.
We're going to do our best,we're going to invest in
ourselves, our skills, thethings that we know we need to
do in order to succeed, and hewill fill in those gaps.

(15:00):
Romans 8, 28.
And we know that, for those wholove God, all things work
together for good, for those whoare called according to his
purpose.
Okay, sometimes your struggleis God working out something in
you for good.
All struggle is not a bad thing, okay, I think sometimes we get

(15:23):
the idea that struggle is badand struggle is not bad.
Struggle is not always fun, butstruggle is not always a bad
thing, because it's throughstruggle that we also grow.
So it's very important.
2 Timothy 2.15,.
Do your best to presentyourself to God as one approved,

(15:44):
a worker who has no need to beashamed, rightly handling the
word of truth.
So do yourself, do your best topresent yourself to God as one
approved, a worker who needs notbe ashamed, rightly dividing
the word of truth.
So our goal is to be in thescriptures regularly.
It's to know God's will, and wepresent our God, ourself, as

(16:08):
one approved, when we do that.
Okay, here's another great one.
This is such an important partof entrepreneurship.
I love the scripture becauseit's so in line with what real,
true entrepreneurship is.
1 Peter, 4, 10 and 11.
As each has received a gift, useit to serve one another as good

(16:30):
stewards of God's varied grace, whoever speaks as one who
speaks oracles of God, whoeverserves as one who serves by the
strength that God supplies inorder that, in everything, god
may be glorified through Christ.
So, as you've received a gift, okay, as you've received gifts,

(16:53):
as you receive, like, forinstance, you have the skills
and the ability.
Because you've co-labored withGod, you've done your part,
you've invested in you, you'vegone.
Because you've co-labored withGod, you've done your part,
you've invested in you, you'vegone out there, you've worked
together with God, you look forhis guidance.
And as you receive those gifts,he says to serve one another
with those gifts.
And you can serve and make aliving at the same time.

(17:16):
That's the great thing.
So when you serve peoplethrough your business, okay, you
are using it to serve otherpeople, but you also get
compensated in return.
This is the great thing aboutwhat this verse is saying as
good stewards of God's variedgrace.
So you go out there and youserve, okay, and when you do it,

(17:37):
you glorify God through that.
2 Corinthians 9.8,.
And God is able to make allgrace abound toward you so that
you, having all sufficiency inall things at all times, you may
abound in every good work.
So works are a thing, it's justyou have to separate the two
and understand that salvation isnot by works.

(17:58):
The scripture says nobody issaved by works.
And if you read the scripture,it clearly states and shows that
you cannot be saved and, as amatter of fact, you cannot be
saved by works and God won'tallow that because he doesn't
want any man to go out and boastabout it oh look, I'm so holy,

(18:21):
I'm so good based on my worksand that's how I got salvation.
No, the scripture says that'snot possible Salvation is not by
works, lest any man shouldboast.
That's what the scripture says.
So our salvation is by onesimple thing.
It's just accepting the LordJesus as your Lord and Savior.
Okay, believing that God raisedhim from the dead, that's how

(18:45):
you receive salvation.
It's a simple act of faith andyour part that Jesus was the
sacrifice for you to haveconnection with God.
So when you accept that you are, you receive salvation.
It's not based on your works, but on the works of Jesus.
Okay, that's the important parthere to understand.

(19:08):
But works are very importantwhen it comes to this life.
Faith without works is dead.
So if your business, if you'reworking your business, it's very
important to know and tounderstand that works are
required in order for you tomove forward, investing in your

(19:34):
skills, the things that you needto do, and you do your absolute
best, that you know how, andGod will supply the rest.
