Jessica Lundy (00:00):
that 2025 is going to be one of the best
years of your life.
You just have to believe that,no matter what your current
circumstances look like, nomatter what 2024 has even looked
like for you, I want you to gointo the year with a sense of
accomplishment, with a sense ofexcitement.
What are the habits you'regoing to actually need to

(00:23):
implement in your life toachieve your goal?
It is okay that I am not themost disciplined person that I
know.
However, it is not okay to notsurround myself by disciplined
people.

(00:49):
Welcome to the Finally Healedpodcast, where we prioritize
mental health, self-care andembracing our healing journey
together.
I'm your host, jessica Lundy, and I am so excited for this

(01:11):
episode.
As you can tell, we are on adifferent set because we just
filmed the workshop my new year, new me, elevate in 2025 virtual
planning workshop, and it wasamazing.
It was such a life-changing,transformational experience for
all of the women that had theopportunity to participate, and

(01:34):
I wanted to make sure that you,as my locked-in listeners and
viewers, were able to take awaysome of the tangible tips and
tools and strategies that Ishared, because I know, if you
listen to this podcast, you arethe type of woman that is not
wanting to play small in 2025.

(01:55):
I know that you have big goalsand big dreams and desires and I
know that God has put inside ofme everything you need to help
launch you and propel you andreally to elevate and thrive in
2025.
So I'm going to be breakingdown for you those strategies
and really pushing you togreatness.

(02:15):
You know, when I came up withthe ideal of having this
workshop, you know it wasn'tjust so people could plan or set
goals for the new year.
It was really learning andunderstanding the importance of
community.
I think it is so powerful whenyou get a group of women
together that are relentlessabout their goals, relentless

(02:37):
about their dreams.
That is contagious.
Sometimes you might be a littlebit passive, you might be a
little bit more relaxed aboutyour goals and your dreams and
but you get around some womenthat are motivated, that are
inspired, that are encouraged.
You're able to borrow somebelief from them, and some of
the women were able to borrowSome belief from me as well,

(02:58):
because if you've been followingme for a while, you know that I
truly believe that 2025 isgoing to be one of the best
years of your life.
All you have to do is believethat.
You just have to believe that,no matter what your current
circumstances look like, nomatter what 2024 has even looked
like for you, if you have thatmind shift and really lock in to

(03:21):
believe that all things arepossible to them, that believe,
really lock in to believe thatall things are possible to them,
that believe, then you cantruly have the best year of your
life.
One of the exercises we did thatI believe is super powerful and
I think would be tremendouslyhelpful for you and your whole
healing journey and yourpersonal and professional
development is a question that Iasked the ladies and I asked

(03:42):
this to you now.
It's a question that I askedthe ladies and I asked this to
you now what do you need torelease before entering into
2025?
Meaning there are some things, some behaviors, some people that
you know are not serving you atthe highest level.
Meaning there are some peoplein your life that every time
you're trying to work on thatbusiness, every time you're

(04:04):
trying to go to a new workshopor join a new community, they're
always meeting you with a bitof negativity.
They got a little bit ofjealousy.
That's what I call a red flag, and so I want you to really
think about the people that youspend the most time with, the
people that you call yourfriends, your sisters.
You know some of the people youare in relationships with.

(04:26):
When you really look deeper atthose relationships, like, are
they really a blessing?
Like, are they enhancing yourlife, are they your asset, or
are they really taken away fromyou?
You know there's some peoplethat call your phone and you
know you look down and you getthat sigh where you're like oh,
I'm not mentally or emotionallyprepared to have this
conversation.

(04:46):
You already know that they'reprobably like.
When I said that there'sprobably like a name that popped
into your head because we allhad that person in our life
where you look down and you'relike, man, I don't have the
energy or capacity to talk tothem.
You really need to evaluate ifthat person needs to still be
with you in your life in 2025.
And if so, what type ofboundaries are you going to put
into place so that they don'tdrain you Some activity?

(05:08):
There might be someorganizations that you are a
part of.
There might be some boards thatyou're sitting on Listen.
You might even have a job that, every time that you clock in,
it almost feels like you donealready worked a 10 hour shift
because you're already exhausted.
So I really want you to take adeep dive, really some
reflective time, to figure outwhat you need and what's going

(05:30):
to work the best for you in 2025.
Okay, and be honest withyourself.
I mean, this is a journalingexercise between just you and
the paper, right?
So you don't have to worryabout somebody watching it or
seeing it, and when you're done, just just rip that thing up and
release it and let it go.
Whatever that thing is, youknow, for me it's stopping the

(05:50):
coffee, the sugar, all of thatyou know, and I'm I'm somebody
who's literally been drinkingcoffee since I was 16 years old,
so stopping that wasn't themost exciting thing to give up.
But when I think about thecrashes, when I think about the
challenges, when I think aboutthe glucose spikes, like it's
just not worth it.
So there are some things thatyou might enjoy and it might
bring you a little bit of joyand happiness, but in the long

(06:12):
run, you have to figure out aresome of those things, or some of
those vices, in alignment withyour short term and long term
goals?
One of the things that that Ineed you to do is focus on the
power of one.
I know you're feeling thetemptation and the excitement to
the list like 100 goals.

(06:33):
If you're writing your goalsand you're, and you got to turn
the paper over because you gotso many, we want to just pump
the brakes a little bit, right.
I want you to set yourself upfor success.
So I want you to focus on thepower of one.
I want you to identify that onegoal for 2025.
That one word of intentionalityfor 2025.

(06:55):
Mine is elevate.
Everything that I did in 2024, Ibelieve 2024 for me set the
foundation and the groundworkfor the launch and their
propelling and the elevationthat I'm going to have going
into 2025.
So I want you to identify whatthat word is going to be that
you're going to use as yourfoundational word for the year

(07:16):
You're going to have.
That one is your foundationalword for the year You're going
to have, that one overarchinggoal so that at the end of 2025,
when you look back and you'relike, man, if I didn't do
anything else, I did that onething.
That's going to give you asense of accomplishment.
Once you achieve that goal, then you can move on to the next
one, then you can move on tothe next one.
But what happens is, whensomeone's looking at 25, 50, a

(07:39):
hundred goals, you can feel sooverwhelmed, so anxious, that
you don't even get started.
And I want you to go into theyear with a sense of
accomplishment, with a sense ofexcite, right?
So once we have that, then we'regoing to get to them habits,
because the habits is reallywhat exposes people's character,

(08:00):
their nature and theirdisciplines, right?
So when you look at people'shabits, they say a lot about a
person, and so I want you tofigure out what are the habits
you're going to actually need toimplement in your life to
achieve your goal.
So we don't want to just setthese goals and just put them on

(08:20):
a vision board and then say doit lower.
Okay, faith without works isdead.
Right.
So you might have the faith toget some of the things that you
desire, but if you don't havethe works meaning you don't have
a plan, you don't have adiscipline, you don't have a
structure, you don't have aprocess it's going to be a lot
more challenging.
So I really want you to getquiet, like as you're listening

(08:42):
to this.
I'm coaching you right now toyour dreams and to your destiny,
like you need someone who'sgoing to push you, who's going
to propel you, who's going tokeep you accountable, who's
going to hold your feet to thefire and say no, no, no.
You committed to this goal, youneed to get it done because you
deserve to have someone in yourlife who's going to do that for
you.
So we're going to come up withthat habit and then I want you

(09:04):
to get a habit tracker.
You know you can use an app,you can use a worksheet to do
this.
We have in the, in theworksheet that I created, um,
the workbook that I created, there is a worksheet that allows
you to track some habits inthere.
But you got to create some typeof system where you can
document whether you didsomething or not.
That is whatself-accountability looks like.

(09:26):
I think, to be successful, youhave to have two.
You have to haveself-accountability and then you
also need to be a part of agroup.
You need to be a part of acommunity, part of an
organization where you'reactually invested right, meaning
you're putting some money, someaction, some time, some energy
behind something so that youwill actually do it.
I remember there was adifference between the times

(09:48):
where I went to the gym or I wasworking out, or I'm excited
about myself, right, I might notfeel so excited to go, I might
not stay as long as I should, because ain't nobody keep me
accountable, but when I'm payingthat trainer you know, a couple
hundred dollars a month to showup, I'm showing up early
because I don't want to waste mymoney.
I'm staying late because theywant to train me a little bit

(10:08):
later.
Like I'm following thenutrition plan that they gave me
.
Like I realized that anytime Imade an investment, I took
something serious, and so I wantyou to even think about what
type of investments do you needto make into 2025?
I say that 2025 is my year ofdelegation.

(10:29):
I am not the type of personthat's wanting to do anything on
the solo route.
That has just led to somestress and some anxiety.
But I realize, when I'm withthe team, when I'm in community,
when I'm surrounded by otherpeople that get it, I'm not only
able to borrow some belief fromthem, I'm able to stay excited,
excited.

(10:50):
That's the challenging thing.
It's like when the excitementof the new year wears off,
that's where the habits and thestructure and the disciplines
kick in, and sometimes we don'tnaturally have that.
I came to a point in my lifeabout two years ago that it is
okay that I am not the mostdisciplined person that I know.
However, it is not okay to notsurround myself by disciplined

(11:14):
people because they say that youare the sum total of the five
people that you spend the mosttime with Meaning.
I had to put myself around somego-getters.
I had to put myself around somehigh achievers, some
multimillionaires, like peoplewho were really going to stretch
me and push me and propel me togreatness.
So we're now at the healingmoment.

(11:36):
Right, I really want you to goreally deep, where I'm going to
give you an action item on onething that you have to work with
.
I want you to do two thingsright.
We're ending the year, so Iwant you to end it strong.
One I really want you to godeep with what you need to
release.
I can tell that there is aperson, there is a thing, there

(11:57):
is a structure, there is aprocess that needs to be
released.
And secondly, I want you toevaluate the people you're
spending the most time with.
I want to make sure that you'respending time with people that
are going to propel you togreatness.
And, last but not least, youdon't have to do this alone.
I think one of the mostbeautiful things about community

(12:20):
is, at any moment, you can beconnected with people that are
like-minded.
You can be connected withpeople that are going to push
you to greatness, and I am superexcited to announce that we are
going to be launching our owncommunity very soon.
So stay tuned for that, becauseI know that you are the type of

(12:43):
woman that believes insisterhood, that believes in
togetherness and accountabilityand making success a group
project.
I believe that's what we needto start normalizing.
Not this team, no new friends.
That is old and done with.
It's really the power ofcommunity and collaboration is

(13:05):
going to help you actuallyachieve every goal you put down
on your list.
So this has been another episodeof the Finally Healed with
Jessica Lundy podcast.
I'm so grateful that you tunedin Listen.
If you missed our Elevate andThrive in 2025 workshop, don't

worry.

of the workshop that's two hoursas well as the workbook so that

We will have more informationabout that in the show notes.
