Elliot Kallen is a mental health advocate and founder of the charity "A Brighter Day". Elliot shares his personal journey of losing his own son Jake and how that experience inspired him to create a platform that provides resources and support for teens who are going through similar struggles.

We discuss the importance of breaking the stigma surrounding mental health, and how parents can recognize warning signs and help teens access professional help. We also explore the different types of resources that A Brighter Day makes available to teens at no cost.

  5. SAMHSA National Helpline: 1-800-662-HELP (4357) - This confidential, free, 24/7 hotline provides referrals to local treatment facilities and support groups for those struggling with mental health and substance abuse issues.
  6. American Association of Suicidology - This organization provides resources for suicide prevention, education, and research.
  7. The Suicide Prevention Resource Center - This center provides training, technical assistance, and resources for suicide prevention.
