The Grey Path

This 3-Part series, inspired by the hit television miniseries, Obi-Wan Kenobi, is focused on the what it means to be driven to the brink and discusses if it is possible to come back after crossing the line. In Part 1 we dive deep into former Grand Inquisitor, Reva Sevander.

We also discuss tips and strategies for living in the present without fear of the "future."

In this episode we discuss King Viserys Targaryen from the HBO hit series, House of the Dragon. We'll explore his history and voluntary self deception which ultimately led to the destruction of his family. Along the way we will explore 6 forms of self deception/self delusion and discuss strategies for helping move past these destructive tendencies. 

As Season 2 surges forward we explore acclaimed author, Paulo Coelho's, masterpiece The Alchemist. Particularly, the concept of the personal legend and how it relates to both Jyn Erso (protagonist of the Star Wars film Rogue One) and ourselves.

This episode focuses the conversation on the moral obligations of creating a True AI as well as thought provoking topics associated with the real world development of artificial intelligences.

In Part 4 of our special ten part series I am joined by frequent collaborator, JD Donnelly, as we discuss the tragic fate of Jurassic Park, "villain," Dennis Nedry. Together we discuss how corporate greed, negligence, and a healthy dose of poetic irony, all come together to unjustly paint Nedry as a villain; instead of his true identity as a victim of the greedy corporation InGen.

In Part 6 of our special ten part series we discuss the solemn nobility of Thanos, The Mad Titan of the MCU. An in depth discussion is had regarding the necessity of The Snap and the selfishness of The Blip. 

In Part 5 of our special ten part series we explore the dark side of popular "The Office" character, Jim Halpert. By closely examining the numerous relationships in his life we begin to see the true narcissism present behind that lopsided smile and boyish veneer. 

In Part 3 of our 10 part series we discuss the tyrannical behavior of the Mufasa from Disney's The Lion King. During out discussion we touch upon real world issues such as privilege and the need for more tolerance in our lives.

In Part 2 of our special 10 part series we explore what is often viewed as one of the most evil figures in Science Fiction, Emperor Palpatine, of the Star Wars universe. In this episode we will explore Palpatine's motivations and discuss whether or not power is inherently evil.
