What we're talking about isimportant from every aspect of
it.
It's a heavy weight.
It's not just about physicalweight, but the weight of things
that can weigh our minds.
So I think it's dope that wecan have this conversation mind.
So I think it's dope that wecan have this conversation.
(00:27):

Speaker 1 (01:13):
No, she's still here,
straight elbow yeah who are
they?
Speaker 3 (01:19):
who are they?
They can take her spot.
I'm not gonna listen on names, you know whoa, whoa.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
I mean, but I thought
, about doing a tournament.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
Take her spot.
I'm not going to listen tonames, you know I mean but I
thought about doing a tournament.
Like if she y'all got to fightfor it.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
No, yikes, no, all
the thoughts of Molitha or
Molitha.
Okay, so how were your weeks?
Speaker 3 (01:54):
Christmas was good
man.
She, uh she got everything sheasked for.
She got two stanleys, uh, webought her one and uh, her, uh,
her gym friend bought her, afamily bought her one.
So she she's happy about that, she feels like she's fancy and
we bought her.
I got her that TikTok phone, like a little fake little kid's
phone where she can't really doshit on it.
So she thinks she's grown nowbecause she's walking around
with a Stanley and a pretendiPhone that actually cuts on and
(02:15):
purple and gold, the purple.
She has a purple and a pink one.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
No, but no Laker ones
, no Laker ones.
Speaker 3 (02:21):
My wife has a Laker
Stanley.
I'm working on stealing thatmotherfucker because she don't
appreciate it the way she needsto appreciate it.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
I don't think you
should say it out loud, though
she know I'm working on it.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
But it was cool, man.
You know, I cooked Christmasdinner and now I'm just getting
ready for my baby's birthday ina couple of days and I think I'm
going to take her.
I think I'm going to take her.
She wants to go down to?
Speaker 2 (02:43):
Will there be any
drug transactions?
Speaker 3 (02:45):
No.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Remember the mac and
cheese?
Speaker 3 (02:47):
No, there's no drug
transaction.
I'm going to take her down toLouisiana Purchase for her
birthday so she can get herdookie chase.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
So I'm not going to
randomly be in MoVal when you're
in MoVal.
I mean you can, and then justmagically meet up on a random
street and just exchange plates.
That shit like a straight updrug transaction.
I was like God damn.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
I mean, you know it
might happen.
I'll let you know what we gotleft over.
Speaker 2 (03:14):
Yeah, let me know.
Speaker 3 (03:16):
Because I'm not a big
mac and cheese person.
So, oh, you know, it was thewhole plate, nigga.
Speaker 2 (03:20):
I know it was like,
hey, I had to fight to keep my
plate.
Speaker 3 (03:26):
But y'all had just
they wanted that one to stand on
.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
It was like well, so
what did Mo give you?
Don't worry about the fuck.
I got Like, like, like, likeshit.
Can I have some?
No, the fuck you can't havesome more.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
I mean, that was
funny, because I was like I told
him I'm just going to take itto him and I called you hey,
nick, I'm right here.
I said Nick, we just passedeach other.
I said let me turn around.
Speaker 2 (03:50):
And we met in this
most sketchiest apartment
driveway and it looked like oh,this is a drug, these niggas is
a drug transaction, like Nick.
It's just plates of food.
It's just plates of food.
Speaker 3 (04:01):
Yeah, plates of food,
yeah it was a good week.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
Kev.
No, mine was good.
They got what they got.
More to come because you knowsales.
But yeah, good stuff.
The Dreamhouse, oh, it was ahit.
Speaker 3 (04:18):
Man, that's the good
thing about close in age too,
because hey, you guys can sharethis.
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (04:26):
Let me tell you
something, man, you done
triggered me.
Fuck Barbie, why are these damndream houses?
They take up too much space.
It's a house like this, can'tlike her.
Literally.
We had to take toys out of herroom because she got a Barbie
dream house for her birthday.
So we had to take toys out ofher room because she got a
(04:46):
Barbie Dreamhouse for herbirthday.
So we had to take toys out ofher room to make the Barbie
Dreamhouse fit.
But now for Christmas, she gotthe Barbie Camper to go with the
Dreamhouse.
What up?
So you know, now, barbie, theytake road trips down the hallway
.
Now, yeah, and so now now she'ssetting up a shop in the middle
of my hallway where we got atent.
I said why she got a tent?
If the camper's here, why don'tyou just sleep in the camper?
Speaker 2 (05:07):
You never took an
unplanned trip on one of those
Barbie cars that got thisminiature fucking skateboard.
You done that yet.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
That's the thing she
used to have the Barbie Jeep
that towed the boat, but we keptstepping on that.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
So we threw that shit
away Fucking, skating and shit.
Speaker 3 (05:28):
Yeah, but I don't
know, yeah.
So yeah, I'm sorry about that.
Speaker 1 (05:31):
No, it's okay, man,
it's okay.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
Fucking Barbie.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
They didn't want the
Barbie condo, so you got to get
the dream house.
They're supposed to be big.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
How many Barbies did
you get them?
With the Barbies you're in love?
None.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
There's already
enough.
Yeah, there's enough, so that'swhere I'm at with you on that.
Let's put this shit outside.
Speaker 3 (05:52):
I don't know.
Does Ava have Barbies?
Speaker 2 (05:54):
Not anymore, no.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
Phoenix has about 20
and they all have different
names.
Yeah, and she knows the namesof all of them, but you can tell
like towards the end she gottired of naming them because all
the names sound the same.
You know, yeah.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
Ava was a creative,
but I mean why that is.
At some point she wonders whatthey look like without hair.
Oh man, you have these randompockets of hair all over the
house and you're like what?
At first you get terrifiedbecause whose hair is this?
And you're like, oh it.
Speaker 3 (06:24):
First you get
terrified because whose hair is
this and you're like, oh, it'sthe fucking doll's hair um you
just remind me, my daughter hadthe bright idea so you know, she
has a life-size barbie too.
So she had the bright idea thatshe is gonna go ahead and turn
on the curling iron and she'sgonna curl barbie's hair.
Well, that didn't go well.
No, it did not.
Fuck that barbie's hair in thecorner.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
Yeah oh yeah, that's
it baby that's not real here.
That's, that's stupid.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
Yeah, that's gonna
melt what was the first time you
had a kickflip?
Speaker 3 (06:58):
when she was two
years old.
You know what I had to saymyself.
I'm not going down the stairslike why is this here?
Speaker 2 (07:07):
fuck, alrighty.
My week was work and more workand the job trying to pull their
usual shit oh shit, fuck thatplace that one day you know, I
did get paid- that's what's upto go get my name written on a
(07:27):
piece of paper hey, just a winwhat is a win?
I got to just chill that dayhalf the day, and I got paid for
it, so that's something, that'sa win.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
So, um, anyway, we'll
get into the shenanigans you
let a nigga shenan one timeyou're going to shenan again.
Speaker 2 (07:47):
I was going to say I
wasn't expecting you to say it
so openly, because you knowyou've been resistant.
Speaker 3 (07:51):
That's why I said it
he don't just give up the draws,
no more.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
You know what I'm
saying?
It depends on who asking for it.
So I mean it goes withoutsaying now.
So the curation of this one.
So I mean it goes withoutsaying now, so the curation of
this one.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
So, as we reflect on
2024 and we're in the new year,
yes, sir, what is the mostsignificant mental and physical
health lessons you've learnedfrom the previous year?
Just take better care of myself.
Taking better care of metrickles down into me being able
(08:27):
to take better care of myfamily, because now I'm doing
everything from the rightheadspace.
Speaker 2 (08:31):
So what would be some
of the routines?
Speaker 3 (08:34):
Well, you know the
gym.
You got the diet under control.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
What do you eat?
A lot of chicken.
Oh yeah, you said chicken thigh.
Speaker 3 (08:42):
I know Chicken thigh
boy, my smoker, hate to see me
coming because I like thatmotherfucker two three times a
week.
At this point I might as welljust throw them all on one at
one time.
Yeah, it's male perfect yeah,because I mean I cook.
No, I cook one family pack at atime, so one pack lasts about
two and a half days.
So every three days I'mlightening up, you know, and I
(09:07):
do a lot of protein taco bowlsShout out to my wife for this.
So what we do is she does theground turkey with the taco
seasoning, and then we get theQuest taco protein chips and we
crunch those up for, like theshell, that shit is fire.
It's like it's all protein.
It's fire, that's just hit.
Make sure you drink your water, though, because in 2025.
(09:31):
I want to make a shirt what thatsays I'm all protein, swallow
me well, you know, you know um,you know what has the most
protein in it?
Breast milk.
Speaker 2 (09:44):
so just go find so
what you're saying is if I make
this shirt, both men and womencan.
Speaker 3 (09:49):
Yes.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
So, yeah, what about
you, Kevin?
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Oh shit, sorry.
Mine health-wise has been thatmostly Having to work out, get
my blood pressure and shiteverything right.
Just because that was prettybad, it's probably.
I was probably close to jamiefoxx and, to be honest, is that
a?
Speaker 2 (10:16):
is that a verb now?
Speaker 3 (10:17):
I guess, I was gonna
ask you was somebody wiping your
ass for a month?
Speaker 1 (10:21):
you didn't know but
that was, that was a big thing.
Uh, uh.
Mentally I feel like I'm goinginto a battle this year because
I'm about to do try to do a lotof shit that I ain't tried to do
like activities.
Yeah, not like I'd say came outright.
(10:44):
I don't mean like things I'venever done, like okay oh, I
think of you.
Speaker 2 (10:51):
Oh, nigga stop so I'm
gonna swim with the sharks.
Nah, I cut that out, I stoppedI was.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
I was that was gonna
be my 40th, but then whales kept
eating people and shit, so butI actually, yeah, I want to go
back to school and like, justmaximize my, my energy, that's,
that's what's up.
I do this shit that I don'twant to do, but do it, and do it
well, not like, uh, just do it,you know what I mean, but like
(11:19):
doing it I never actually wasquestion.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
You ever do cocaine.
Yeah, I have Did it give youlike an energy boost.
Speaker 1 (11:30):
I did a lot of things
.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
Yeah, it did.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
Yeah, I drank all the
beer the first time I did it.
Speaker 3 (11:36):
You drank all the
beer.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
The first time, not a
little bit.
All the beer, all the beer.
But yeah, I'm not an oppositeguy, but I'm not going to start
cocaine.
I don't know if you'resuggesting this.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
I'm just curious
because when you start talking
about all the things I was likeI wonder, it just hit me like I
wonder if he's ever done cocaineyou're gonna need just give you
some herbal life pills sameeffect nah, I'm cool, you're
gonna.
Did you grind them up?
Speaker 1 (12:03):
no, yeah, he ain't
gotta sniff them is that the
same shit that was in thepouches that he was putting in
the water and shit too, yeah, Iremember that in the navy
motherfuckers just it's not anenergy drink like.
Speaker 2 (12:13):
What are you guys
doing?
Speaker 3 (12:18):
uh so you get you
right.
Speaker 1 (12:19):
yeah, but that's
that's.
That's my main focus, I think.
Uh, I started doing that justat home, like with the little
things I don't want to do, andthat kind of helped me.
So hopefully it translates tothe bigger shit, like homework
and projects and shit like that, and getting my ass up and
(12:40):
dressing up and putting fuckingwigs and shit on For skitsits,
not pleasure with your with yourhealth, have you?
Speaker 2 (12:48):
uh?
Did you change your diet or didyou just?
Speaker 1 (12:53):
uh, I cut out some
stuff more.
I didn't like completely changeit like I didn't cut out things
all the way, but I'vedefinitely curbed the amounts of
things I was doing.
Speaker 3 (13:06):
Yeah, with no pancake
when I walked in.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
No cocaine either, so
that's good.
Speaker 1 (13:10):
Yeah, I'm broke, just
had Christmas.
Well, that's about it for meThinking that way Tackle shit.
How?
Speaker 2 (13:24):
about you.
Uh, me, it's just continuingthe same path, just trying to
find the energy to, or the timeto, do shit, because it feels
like every time, uh I, I,something happens, I got to do
something else to to to fulfilltime, like I did.
Time is the of the essence, butonce I get it completely
(13:46):
figured out, then it's justtackling everything that I want
to do.
But like I have projects andand the works with music wise
that I'm working on that Ihaven't had the time to just and
Eugene, again, I told you it'scoming pause, but it's just one
of the things where I have hadtrying to make sure I get
everything under control for thefucking holidays.
(14:06):
Now it's, but it's just one ofthe things where I I've had
trying to make sure I geteverything under control for the
fucking holidays, now it's.
Speaker 3 (14:09):
Now it's back into
the work mentality of writing
and uh recording some shit, butit's just time we gotta get
those visuals together too yes,we've got to pick some locations
to go out and just make ithappen yes, and uh, same thing
with uh, mike and x as well.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
Like I want y'all to
collab, because I think you guys
pick each other's brain Verydope and I think you learn a lot
.
Like, as far as, like, what youwant to do, I'm pretty sure he
could tell you like, oh, thisnigga, how do you do?
You'd be like, oh, I pickedthis brain.
But yeah, I do want to do a lotof fucking creation this year.
It's just finding the time year.
(14:51):
It's just such as finding thetime is and then yeah, but um
then, like, uh, health wise isjust continuing to eat right,
which is is a hard task, butlike I, I think I found ways to
integrate what I like to eat andcan continue to eat.
That's not bad for me, that'swhat's up?
Shout out to.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
Chipotle, by the way.
No, fuck Chipotle, it's goddamnpricey.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
But I'm just saying
when you get the urge, chipotle
ain't a bad thing to indulge in,if you know, if you're trying
to stay on a path or something.
Yeah, it is pricey, but it'sstill better than McDonald's and
all these other fucking badthings.
So, yeah, that's it.
(15:32):
It's just sticking to the planand staying the course and
listening and picking the brainof Joe Patino when it comes to
certain things.
Speaker 3 (15:41):
Yeah, fuck you Joe.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
Patino.
Shout out to Joe Patino, hewill be on the podcast.
Speaker 3 (15:45):
Is he he's?
Speaker 2 (15:46):
coming.
Yeah, he wants to wait a whileuntil he gets everything going.
But yeah, he will be on a Talkyour Shit episode.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
That's what's up.
I know he's sick of me.
I text him every day.
Speaker 2 (15:56):
So, yeah, so moving
forward.
Then, yeah, ment and forwardand then yeah, uh, mentally also
is using the podcast to be ableto um create, and I think when
we create on here it helps meget ideas outside of it and shit
.
Like even with king dice beinghere, um, like when you see
(16:20):
people that you respectcreatively tell you what they
think about things creatively,it kind of makes me like so I'm
not that far off when I feelthis way.
Or even what they're doing islike when you see that that
spark click and you're like thisstill got it, so it just
inspires.
It's going to be a dope year.
Speaker 3 (16:40):
Don't forget to be
selfish and be selfish.
Speaker 2 (16:43):
You've texted me that
a few times and I agree.
I just said I just got to gointo that mindset of knowing
that I can't feel bad forputting myself first.
So the integration of careright, mindfulness practices how
does staying mindful impactedyour health?
(17:04):
Uh, your, your and yourpractices that you will adopt in
2025.
I think.
Speaker 3 (17:10):
For me, um, as I
began to see the results it, it
became more than mindful.
It became like, okay, it'sworking.
So now it's starting to becomelike second nature, like I know
what to stay clear of, I knowwhat the path to do.
I know that, hey, even when youdon't feel like going to the
(17:32):
gym, just get up, walk in.
And, oddly enough, the coupleof times where I did not feel
like going were probably thetimes where I've actually had
the best workout, because Iactually just showed up and even
like like Joe always saybecause I text Joe the other day
because I was trying to hit, Iwas trying to hit 245 on the
(17:52):
bench and I said I fuckingfailed.
I got the 235.
I couldn't hit the 245.
He was like he's like, he waslike just the fact that you
attempted not once but twice todo it, you're better than most
people.
So I think that's just my mindstate of like.
It's about the attempt.
I'm just trying to go into theattempt of things when it
(18:15):
regards my health and beinghealthy both physically and
mentally.
It's just an attempt.
If I'm making the attempt, I'mstill one step closer than
someone who's not even trying toshow up.
So I'm just trying to be moremindful of the attempt because
with my personality, you know, like Joseph was saying, like
with my stubbornness, like theattempt is going to make me
follow through, because I'm notgoing to waste my time, I'm not
(18:36):
going to show up and give ahalf-assed effort.
I'm going to show up and giveyou everything I can because I'm
not going to waste my time, because I understand, like we
always talk about, time is theone thing we have such little of
that I try to maximize everysecond I get.
Speaker 2 (18:50):
And that routine is
key Because a routine is like
once you build that routine, itbecomes one of the things where
you don't even think about it.
You just know that's not anoption, not doing that because
I'm so used to doing it now.
Like some people are like oh soyou're just going to skip that.
No, no, we're going to do it.
Speaker 3 (19:08):
Yeah, that's like I
make a point with my walking
videos, like I don't walk, Iwalk, I'm going to walk.
So if I got to be out there at10 and walk, I'm going to walk,
it's going to happen.
So that's why I always just tryto maneuver things around to
where I can still you know, bean active father, because I only
have one and her schedule isbananas.
(19:30):
You know what I'm saying.
So I try to be at everythingfor her, but at the same time, I
got to be there for me, so Igot to show up like that's.
That's one thing I really cameto understand in 2024 was to
show up for myself as much as Ishow up for my family yeah,
(19:50):
kevin restraint.
Speaker 1 (19:58):
Just the one thing.
I picked up a lot of candy barsand said, nigga, you don't need
this, you won't die.
So I guess that's a motivation.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
Have you tried a
barbell?
Speaker 1 (20:09):
A barbell.
Speaker 2 (20:10):
It's a bar.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
Like a candy.
Speaker 3 (20:13):
It's a good
substitution if you want it's a
protein bar or a built bar too, yeah.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
I thought you meant
like lifting weights.
I was like too, yeah, I thoughtyou meant like lifting weights.
Speaker 2 (20:21):
I was like no, like
when you kind of get those urges
like I know it's like when Ihave a sweet tooth I look, I try
to look for alternatives tothat sweet tooth.
So I don't like necessarilycompletely be like, oh, I ain't
got shit.
Like it's like, well, at leastI can eat.
Because it's just be mindfulsome of them are not good for
you.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
Yeah, they have a lot
of sugar.
Do them.
Do you like cheesecake?
Speaker 1 (20:40):
Yeah, I made one.
It's in there Okay.
Speaker 2 (20:43):
It's here, like right
now.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
We only ate a slice.
I got to throw thatmotherfucker away.
I'm pissed.
Is it bad?
No, I mean it is now.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
Oh, I will send you
the recipe for a protein
cheesecake.
You get a whole bowl ofcheesecake and it's only like
240 calories, but it's proteinstyle.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
I mean you might fart
.
Speaker 3 (21:10):
I mean, it's a good
substitution, you know, rather
than eating an actual slice ofcheesecake that's going to be
like 700 calories.
You know, you got to find.
That's my thing I found.
You got to find the little wins.
Speaker 1 (21:21):
Yeah, I'll make a
that's.
That's progress, that's a workin progress.
Speaker 2 (21:26):
I lied to myself and
told me that the cookies and
cream barbell is like eating aTwix.
It's not.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
I like that, you like
, I know I'm lying.
And it's only got like twograms of sugar so, or one gram
of sugar so it's like I think mymotivation though the biggest
to it is just to prove myselfright.
Try to prove myself right, likethe things.
I believe I can accomplish likeI I should, instead of like
(21:57):
halfway getting in there andthen stopping when, well, I'm in
there.
Speaker 2 (22:02):
Yeah, now we're,
we're, we're serious.
Sorry, let me stop.
Speaker 1 (22:06):
Uh pause.
So it's like I want to.
I want to, I want to see thingsthrough Like I started a lot of
things and never finished them.
So it's like I got to provemyself either wrong or right,
one of the one of the two.
But I feel like I canaccomplish these things, so I
feel like I have to prove myselfright.
Speaker 3 (22:25):
So are, you, are you
fearful of outcome.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
No, now the outcome
of the things that I'm looking
at at least kind of have abetter perspective.
I think the goal was just tofinish and just finish with
certain things, like with school.
I was just doing it, but likenow I'm like, hey, there's a
reason behind this, like there'smore than just getting the
paperwork, I guess.
So it's like I'm trying to putcohesive plans together that
(22:53):
have actual outcomes to them, instead of just shot in the dark
kind of thing, if that makesany sense, you know.
So that's, that's kind ofwhat's my driving to everything.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
Okay, that'll kind of
around where we was at with the
question so, uh, I try to staymindful that barbells are better
than twigs, and I tell myselfthat every time, and somehow
I've tricked myself intobelieving that you know what
it's like a twigs you changedthat real quick, though you said
(23:34):
it's like a twigs so I just Itry to be mindful of the fact
that you, like we stress heremake it the most and take them
(23:54):
and make the most and takeadvantage of your time.
There.
We go and apply that shit toeverything that you're trying to
be successful in.
That's what I'm trying to bringin the 2025.
So it's like take the sameapproach to creating health food
time with family.
Just make sure you make it achoice.
I'm trying to apply that toeverything is just make it a
(24:16):
habit, continuous habit, ofdoing better and improving each
time, because, if not, I don'twant to fall back into old
habits that are fucking.
They don't get me anywhere.
So that's what I try to make astress to be the same way that I
am with making sure I hit thegym in the morning, making sure
(24:36):
that I get them to school ontime every morning, making sure
that I at least spend X amountof time with them doing things
around at home, or making surenot to let the job dictate my
mood at home, and making surethat I always get in and out of
the job in the time that Ineeded, because I know sometimes
(24:58):
with our, with our job, you canfall victim to wanting to
provide so bad that you'll spendx amount of time at work when
it's like I can get this samething done if I make sure to
stick to this window of let meget the fuck out of here as soon
as this time, because I seeco-workers all the time, they'll
just be like I'm gonna do thismany hours and then they sit in
the parking lot for however longafter and you're like dude,
(25:20):
just get the fuck home.
So I try to make it a pointlike um and I'm out, I'm out.
Like you're not gonna see mehanging around and lounging
around, I'm out, I'm out.
I mean, it was one day with joe.
He wanted to prove a point toum convenient, hector.
And then we're supposed to bewalking down.
This nigga started having aconversation about see the
inside lanes to the outside.
I said you know I'll see youguys later.
(25:41):
I'm going the fuck home.
And I walked slow intentionallyand he tried to speed up.
Like show me your power.
I said, dude, I expected you todo that, but I'm not about to
wait for you.
Like no, I'm out.
I punched out I'm the fuck outof here.
(26:02):
Let spend too much time doingunnecessary shit.
So that's my mindfulness in2025 that I want to continue to
keep going and, like mo keepspointing out, just to to kind of
have a selfish mindset oncertain things and stop feeling
guilty for realizing that I needto put myself first in certain
instances, um um, I was thinkingtoo, what you made me think.
Speaker 1 (26:20):
Another mindful thing
that I'm trying to carry is I
feel like I got to be mindful ofI deserve these things, the
good things.
I got to remember that Like Ideserve this, and there's no
reason I can't have the thingsthat I want.
So just the effort.
So I try to stay mindful ofreceiving.
I'll take them Receiving the, the, what.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
Whatever you need to
fuck you on.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
So that's.
I try to keep my mind on thattoo.
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Shit, real shit.
I was going to take thecheesecake, the whole cheesecake
.
And just take it home and belike hey cheesecake, uncle Kevin
, yeah, don't eat it, they'lleat it.
Speaker 1 (27:01):
They'll at least try
it, because we made it last week
and then once you said that, Iwas like fuck, it's in there.
Speaker 2 (27:09):
So what role did
exercise play in your health
this year or last year?
Speaker 3 (27:15):
Major man For me
major, it got all my numbers
down.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
That's a good feeling
.
Speaker 3 (27:24):
Right to go into the
to a doctor's office and they're
like you, good, you're like Iremember when, like I, I post
the video, like when I did myblood work and I got the results
back, like I didn't even wantto look at it, so I gave my, I
gave it to my wife, I said youlook at it and tell me, because
I remember, um, this was likeright before christmas.
And I was like, hey, because II remember that day after I gave
blood I said look here.
I was like god, all I want forI just want good numbers for
(27:45):
christmas.
Like I ain't, I ain't gotnothing under the tree.
If these numbers come backbetter than what they were, I'm
happy.
And that came, that came, uh,that came through for me.
That's why I was I I text you,I text joe.
I was so uh, like I was thatday.
I was on a high Like youcouldn't.
Speaker 2 (28:01):
Real talk.
This is going to be serious.
What if the results came backthat you were pregnant?
Speaker 3 (28:08):
I would have had a
TOC show.
Like what the fuck, what thefuck.
Like I would have had a show onTOC.
But yeah, I mean everything wasin the.
I mean my cholesterol is betterthan what it was.
It's not in the green, but it'snot like deep in the red.
You know what I mean.
So it's not like.
It's like it showed me that ifI continue down the road I'm on,
(28:31):
it will be there, but like mysugar, I'm good, so I can eat
that cheesecake without goinginto a coma.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
I'm not going to eat
it, but I could.
Speaker 3 (28:42):
So the health and
fitness wise is like it made a
big deal.
But what I learned the most Ikind of already knew is like it
doesn't really matter how muchyou work out, it is the diet
part that matters the most.
Like the working out onlyaccelerates what the diet is
doing, but the diet is what'smost crucial.
(29:03):
So for me it was everything.
It's literally the differencebetween life and death.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
True.
Speaker 1 (29:10):
Yeah, yeah, I mean,
that's what it was.
Does that like live in a diet?
Yeah, uh, it's not hard to getup and motivate when it's that.
So I, uh, I learned to notworry about what it looks like.
Who gives a fuck what otherpeople think about your workout
routines, as long as you putthem away, that bar how much uh
(29:33):
different equipment do you haveat your job?
Oh, we got just the machine anduh uh treadmill the machine has
, like it's one of those withthe like I was.
I saw another pull-ups, thepull-downs, the pull-up bar, the
weight bar, the incline, we gotthe bench.
So it's how many people use 15things in one at work me there's
(29:59):
like three of us.
I guess they'll go over thereand hit the hit the weights
because they don't want most ofus staying in the warehouse so
it's like I'm gonna go get aquick, uh quick little setting
real quick while the phones isquiet I saw that shit I said I'm
jealous yeah, because I waslike that's a lot of equipment,
so I was wondering if I had thatthe job, my lunch be in the
building every day.
I mean we don't.
(30:20):
Yeah, when on my shift I don'tneed it, on lunch, I try to set
an amount that I try to rock out, and then some days it's like
hey, I went for some that's dopebut that's it, man.
It was that's my thing, you, itwas that's my thing.
You was going to die homie.
Speaker 2 (30:44):
So you know it didn't
take a lot of motivation after
that.
I just know, when you said likethe Talking to God, when I was
sitting in the DOT office I justI talked to my dad and God I
was like, hey, just get methrough this shit.
I just saw Anita.
(31:04):
I said get me through this shitand I'll take care of the rest.
Just get me through this shit.
I said you know what path I'vebeen on to this point?
I was like, just let me getsome good news going forward.
When I got the good news I waslike all right, now it's time to
kick it up a notch.
But yeah, it's played a hugerole and I just try to stick to
(31:25):
it and it's.
It's tedious because you have torealize that you have
everything kind of going againstyou in a sense, because
everything plays a role in yourhealth, and the biggest thing
for me is rest.
It's hard to get rest.
I have three children at homeand with the schedule and all
(31:52):
that, it's very hard to get.
Rest and not sleeping can alsohinder your weight loss, because
if you're not resting, yourbody can't recuperate.
Therefore you can't get off thethe fat.
So so what diet?
Also, rests is a very big thingand like stress levels, uh,
(32:16):
cortisone stress levels.
That's why people tend to carryweight in certain areas of
their body and it's hard to getrid of that weight because of
your stress levels, um.
So it's like all that plays abig role.
So exercise is a big thing, butalso taking being mindful of
things that take your mind off,of the things that can hinder
you.
So being able to rest and takebeing mindful the time, uh to
(32:41):
when you go to sleep, to whenyou fucking don't let things
stress you the fuck out, whenyou realize things are stressing
you out, to be able to walkaway and identify that shit,
because all that shit plays arole.
Speaker 3 (32:50):
So the exercise is
important, but so is everything
that goes into it so you'respeaking on the um, the
connection between your mentalhealth and your physical health.
Yeah, because they, they, theyreally do have to be in the line
to get optimal progress.
Speaker 2 (33:11):
So that's my thing is
trying to identify, not letting
the stress get to me, becauseI'm in a highly stressful state,
damn near all around the clock, and it's hard when you have a
lot of people depending on youfor survival and it's like you
feel that on your shoulders thatshit can fuck with you, rock
(33:32):
you out of sleep.
It's obsessive and you're likeI'm trying not to stress, but
it's fucking inevitable.
Yeah, self-compassion andresilience.
How has self-compassion andresilience helped you and what
steps would you take to enhancethese traits?
Speaker 1 (33:55):
Compassion has gotten
me through um a lot, a lot, a
damn near all of my life tellingmyself, um all of my life
telling myself I guess I'm goodenough for shit, Like the
deserving part.
I'm still learning on that,because sometimes I don't feel
(34:16):
like I deserve shit.
Speaker 2 (34:18):
But we gotta get the
energy up.
Everybody seem like they're.
Are these questions depressing?
Speaker 3 (34:24):
No, I was.
I was just thinking I ain't gotno self-compassion, I'm hard as
fuck on myself that's why.
Speaker 2 (34:29):
That's why I'm saying
like the compassion is
important, but I feel like theenergy is down, like I don't
want to have you guys down no,I'm not down, I'm just
reflective thinking about.
Speaker 1 (34:38):
I just like how
compassion plays a role, because
I think, as you said, with menwe don't do a lot of that, we
will jack off, but that ain'tcompassion.
Speaker 2 (34:51):
I love myself.
Speaker 3 (34:52):
I'm not even
compassionate with that, but he
said it burns oh shit whathappened.
Speaker 2 (35:02):
Can I show you guys
the greatest movie ever.
Speaker 1 (35:04):
Made my bad the
greatest movie ever made.
My bad, no, no, not that thegreatest movie ever made we was
talking about.
And then you went oh shit.
Speaker 2 (35:12):
Can I show y'all Sure
, it could be a reactive video.
Speaker 3 (35:15):
I'm just nervous.
Are we going to do it now orare we going?
Speaker 2 (35:18):
to do it now.
We're going to do it right now.
I'm nervous.
It's because I want to, oh okay.
Can I show it?
Yeah, I mean I'm going to playit.
Okay, play it Even if we don'tget monetized.
Speaker 1 (35:27):
That's fine.
Yeah, I'm just nervous.
You cool.
Yeah, I'm just nervous.
Speaker 2 (35:30):
Best movie.
It's a trailer for a movie.
Speaker 1 (35:35):
Is Don Rickles in it?
Speaker 3 (35:39):
No, I saw it the
other day and I said Is it a new
movie?
The other day and I said Is ita?
Speaker 2 (35:44):
new movie.
It's from 2015.
I'm going to play it for you.
Speaker 3 (35:47):
Okay, everybody ready
.
Here it is.
Speaker 1 (35:57):
Wow, this is awesome.
Goodbye cell service.
Hello, survey service.
Speaker 3 (36:04):
This place is going
to be great for us.
Oh, I know what this is Freeboner pills.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
Let's get this party
started ready.
Speaker 3 (36:22):
Yeah, come guys, stop
jerking around, get out what
(36:44):
they listened to you.
Help me, what was that thing?
A handjob.
Speaker 2 (36:52):
Look local high
school couple's first over the
pants handjob turns deadly.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
Mindy Dinkle of
Sammamish is victim of freak OTP
handjob accident.
Speaker 2 (37:13):
When her handjob hand
slips, causing it to strike her
own face and tumble out of awindow to her death.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
No, something tells
me she's not gonna use that she
wants us to suffer.
Speaker 2 (37:27):
She wants us to
suffer.
She's just clicking it out.
Speaker 3 (37:31):
Over the pins.
Hands off for real.
I hate this place.
Need a hand In life sometimesthings are far worse than death,
handjobs, handjobs.
Speaker 2 (37:46):
Normally, when
someone receives one, they just
hate it, but in this place.
Speaker 3 (37:51):
they die on the
inside and it's all her fault.
Speaker 1 (38:00):
There's something
evil in this place With
calloused hands and strongwrists it's.
Speaker 2 (38:06):
Solely one thing is
certain she's the only one who
comes in this place withcalloused hands and strong
wrists.
And solely one thing is certainshe's the only one who comes in
this category and she comes foryou what do you want from me?
Speaker 3 (38:25):
I'm not your girl, I
don't even have a.
Speaker 1 (38:37):
This is terrible.
I can do this better myself.
Speaker 3 (38:41):
Okay, okay, that
hasn't been pretty, that's
hilarious, that's hilarious,kevin, you're talking now oh
shit, that has to be a parody.
That's hilarious.
That's hilarious, Kevin, you'retalking now oh shit.
Speaker 2 (38:50):
Oh my God, I needed
to share that with you guys.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
So it came out.
Speaker 3 (39:00):
Fuck yeah, so you're
compassionate, Kevin.
Speaker 1 (39:04):
Yeah, yeah, not like
that, no way.
Calloused hands.
Speaker 3 (39:11):
Fuck, that's
disgusting.
I thought I should have usedtheir mouth.
Speaker 1 (39:24):
I mean, that's, you
know, hey, good old HJ here and
there, but compassion, what wetalk about, that is like coming
with self-love too, though likedoing stuff for yourself.
I told you, well, I haven'tdone that in a while.
Maybe I should start doing alittle little dinner things.
Take myself on a little datelike artist date.
(39:47):
That's the thing that was inthat book that I was reading,
the artist way.
So you're supposed to takeyourself out on a on a creative
date by yourself, open up.
But I guess that's notcompassion, is that?
Yeah, I guess it is becausethat's self-love, yeah,
self-care yeah, I expected toomuch of myself on the first date
(40:09):
so you, I mean, did you not putout on the first date?
Speaker 3 (40:16):
if I take myself, I
guarantee you I'm getting lucky.
It's a guarantee in the car.
I don't know I might be alittle hoish.
Who should?
Did you answer the question?
Speaker 2 (40:28):
no, I don't know, I
might be a little hoish.
Speaker 1 (40:29):
Who should I Did?
Speaker 3 (40:30):
you answer the
question no I didn't.
Speaker 2 (40:33):
That's tough for me.
So I try to show myselfcompassion by understanding that
at the end of the day you'regoing to stumble, but, like you
pointed out, it's important tobe able to say well, at least
I'm doing this.
I mean, I'm going to haveissues where I fall and not stay
(40:54):
the course, but as long as Iknow I can get back on track and
identify that, I show myselfcompassion by saying you're not
going to get it perfect everytime, but you just got to give
yourself some compassion withsaying, well, at least you're
still on it, even if you knowyou might stumble here from here
or there.
Grace and the resilience is tobe able to, you know, bounce
back and say you know what I,you know you wasn't get knocked
(41:16):
down.
Seven, get up eight, like so.
Speaker 3 (41:19):
Rocky.
Speaker 2 (41:20):
Yeah.
So it's just just stick, stayin the course.
You're going to have days whereyou're not your best.
You're going to have days, likeyou said, you don't feel like
going to the gym, but I mean, aslong as you're sticking through
it and you say you know whatI'm trying, I'm trying my
fucking damnedest, that'ssomething.
So that's the biggest thing Ican say is just give yourself
(41:44):
some compassion and don't get tobe too hard on yourself when
you're trying to figure outthings in life, because not
everyone has it a hundredpercent figured out.
So give yourself some somecompassion and say you know what
?
At least I'm trying.
Do you guys have any stressmanagement or techniques that
you worked on in 2024 that youwant to apply to 2025?
Speaker 3 (42:08):
I think the walking
actually the walking started off
as a chore and then it becamesomething that I actually really
enjoy, you know, because I'mout there and it's almost kind
of like being in the gym, likehow you can get lost in your own
thoughts and you kind of cansee through, like like see
(42:28):
through, then like analyze andprocess it.
It's kind of like that I canget out there and I can, um, you
know, tap into, you know, youknow, dive into whatever
problems I'm going through, orget into my creative bag and
think about certain things, orjust it's a way for me to be
somewhere where I'm not fixatedon the other.
You know, stresses of life I'mnot thinking about, I'm not
(42:51):
thinking about, you know, beinga husband, being a father,
thinking about, you know, shitLike we're talking about with
dice, like dealing with shit atthe house we gotta be fixed
right.
Speaker 1 (43:15):
I'm just thinking,
walking and literally just
whatever in my mind at that time.
That's what I'm processing.
Yeah, so that's what's up.
I like the boxing thing.
Boxing getting my uh getting myhands going, having music going
, because that like takes meaway and it helps me uh focus on
like the next punch, whatever, because it gives you like a
sequence of punches you got tofollow and like gives you your
streaks and stuff like that onthe on the vr headset.
So like I've started thatbefore and then just stopped,
(43:36):
but this year, like I picked itback.
Our last year picked it back upand that's been real nice.
It's been better than trying tojust breathe through it.
You know what I mean have youever hit somebody.
That's all I was was going toask Nah, nah, I usually try to
do it.
I've hit stuff.
Speaker 2 (43:49):
Yeah, have you at all
.
I've hit this table.
Speaker 1 (43:52):
Nah, I don't go near,
I try to keep a spot.
Speaker 3 (43:55):
Like your wife, ain't
ever walked in front of you
while you were doing it.
Speaker 1 (44:00):
Nah, trying to get
your attention, you just hit
it'll, it'll correct that realquick.
But that's been good becauseit's it gives you stuff to not
think it's just thinking aboutthat.
And then when you get yourhands going free, then when
you're done you're like oh shit,I hit this many in a row like,
oh hell, yeah, okay, I didn'teven realize, I just.
And then you just, when you'redone, it's like uh, what's that?
(44:24):
I guess kindred euphoria, youfeel good.
So I didn't realize how much Imissed that feeling.
I ain't done shit like sportsor nothing in a while, so that's
helped a lot you can?
Speaker 3 (44:37):
you can join the
men's baseball league.
Speaker 2 (44:40):
I don't want to hurt
my feelings I thought you're
gonna say hurt their feelingsyeah I was.
Speaker 1 (44:45):
But then I was like
well, you ain't throwing a ball
in how many years?
Speaker 3 (44:48):
Man, they're not.
Out there throwing 80 miles anhour they might throw it to me
and I try to catch it like dudeoh fuck, I'm going to bring a
glove next time.
Kevin, you just want to hit mewith a ball.
No, you got a glove, don't you?
Speaker 1 (45:02):
Not anymore, not
anymore.
Ain't that a shame?
Okay, how about you?
Speaker 2 (45:09):
I like to go to the
gym and when I get the
opportunity to play basketball, that gets fun for me because
I'll put on my headphones, I'llzone out.
I can just zone out and shootfor like an hour at a time.
When I actually get to and thatshit, like I'll just zone out
and think about nothing but thebasket dropping.
(45:31):
And then when I get theopportunities where I played a
few people and realize that Istill have instances where I
still got it.
Speaker 3 (45:44):
Young with Fly pops
up.
I don't know if I like thatphrasing, but yeah, younger,
mcfly, the pop-up, the pop-up,oh the pop-up.
I mean you know how to cabin,so you fine.
Speaker 2 (46:06):
Ah, shit, yeah, I
just ah shit, oh, but, um, yeah,
I just that I did.
And then, um, uh, a good stressuh which I've said before is
when I do get to create music,um, and just you just let off.
And when you let off in theright way and you feel like it's
getting the proper uh attention, it, it.
(46:28):
It's a good way to relievestress and it helps me out a lot
.
Then I did the.
You're talking about thepunching.
There's a fucking well, I don'tknow where they bought this
shit from, where they got itfrom, because they couldn't have
bought that shit.
They have a punching that'slike a kickboxing uh machine at
my gym and I used that shit oneday.
And a punching that's like akickboxing machine at my gym and
I use that shit one day and Isaid I would only use it when
(46:50):
there was nobody around, right,so I use it.
You and him.
I was punching and there was ayoung white couple and I could
tell they were looking at me andthey were trying their
damnedest not to pay attentionCause they walked up there to
use the treadmills and I waslike nigga, I wanted to do this
(47:10):
by myself, but I'm already here, might as well do it.
So they're walking past andthey're trying their damnedest
not to look at me.
I'm punching the shit out ofhis bag and he just looks and he
kind of chuckles, but then hegoes that nigga probably would
knock me the fuck out.
So but when I kicked it Irealized one side of the fucking
punching bag or the like youhave to knee the, the mid part
yeah, it doesn't work.
(47:31):
Like one side doesn't read.
So I'm kicking the shit out ofit, right.
I'm like maybe if I come in ata different angle, maybe it was
not reading and I kicked theshit out of the bottom pad and
the knee and I need it, and Iwas mad and it hurt my knee
because of the sheer force and Isaid fuck that machine, because
half of my fucking hits didn'tcount yeah, and I didn't realize
(47:53):
until midway through, as anartistress because I was like,
fuck, I'm kneeing to the left, like the knee on the right works
, the knee to the left don'twork.
And I'm like, dude, I'm kneeingthe fuck out of this shit and
it's just not working and I'mtrying to get my points, nigga.
I was like this is a fuck.
Fuck, this video game like.
Speaker 1 (48:11):
That's how I felt on
the way I like hey, you're my
man.
Speaker 2 (48:13):
I can't get my proper
points.
Nigga, I should be at the topof the leaderboard, like hey,
