I don't know how people can keep from playing in

Speaker 2 (04:27):
Right now.

Speaker 1 (04:27):
We got James Hicks popping in good evening Faro Bulky
and Oinker forgot to give him the introduction for some
fantasy football.

Speaker 2 (04:35):
What do we called what we call your oinker? Oinker?

Speaker 1 (04:38):
Well, they're both anker. I thought one of them. I
thought yours had a different name. They're both anker. The
mine's French, so he's only care care oinker and oin
care bu la la. We also have Tom Smith piping in.
Any kids or cats planned for tonight's show. It's my
wife's birthday today, Pharaoh.

Speaker 2 (04:55):
Wow, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Now she's out of town. She's at a resort at
a resort town in southern Wisconsin right now with their
friends for the weekend. But I've already put the kids
to bed, so we are good to go. No cats,
no kids, no promises on those, but anything as possible tonight.
As we moved through, I want to kick things off

(05:19):
here and talk about a player that many people have
been waiting on all season long, and that is one
Trevion Henderson out last night I was watching that game.
I had my show from six to or from seven
to nine. Last night. My son had basketball practice and
my mother brought him home from basketball and he and

(05:41):
I share a team and We talked about whether we're
gonna start Trevion Henderson all week and we decided to.
And I was so excited to tell him what Henderson
did when he came in. He walks through the door,
sees me sitting in the living room watching the game,
and he goes Dad, Trevion Henderson, and I said, I
know it was crazy. He was very excited. I was

(06:01):
excited to nineteen carries, sixty two yards and two touchdowns.
He also five for another thirty one yards and a touchdown. Obviously,
no Ramandre Stevenson in this game. Twenty two running back
carries in the Patriots backfield, Henderson got nineteen of them,
and he obviously was instrumental in the past game, catching

(06:24):
the Patriots only touchdown of the game too, and the
only receiving touchdown of the game. He scored five times
in the last two games, and he's looked better than
Ramondre Stevenson. He's looked like the most explosive running back
they have on the roster. And he gets the Cincinnati
Bengals next week. Here's what I'm concerned about. If there's
one thing to be concerned about with Henderson, it's Mike Brabel,

(06:46):
it's Josh McDaniels and a quasi healthy Romandre Stevenson. If
Stevens is active next week, I mean we still got
to play Henderson, right, Or are you worried that even
though the toothpaste is out of the tube, they'll destroy
his fantasy value in week twelve?

Speaker 2 (07:02):
Now, I think this coaching staff, especially coming off the
extra days of rest, based on the Thursday night game,
I think we're looking at a player here that the
coaching staff understands brings a dynamic change to the offense.
He's good for the quarterback, he's he we haven't seen
and Ramondre Stevenson has had his days. But you know what,

(07:25):
at four point nine yards of carry of what we're
getting now from Henderson, you've got to go back to
twenty twenty two to see that from Ramondre Stevenson. And
Ramandre has been less than four yards of carry. You've
been slugging it out and it's been a long time
since he's looked like this kind of player. I think
we see our starter now in Henderson and our compliment

(07:47):
player in Stevenson, and it'll take them both down the
stretch to get there. But yes, what a wonderful game.
It was to watch Henderson score and take that game
over from a fantasy You know.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
If you had Trevian Henderson on your team, your team's
probably not doing all that great given what you had
to give up as far as draft capital to get
him this season. However, if you were able to survive
with Henderson being a middling running back or an unplayable
running back for many weeks this year, and all of
a sudden you're coming up on the playoffs and you
got Henderson on your team and you're in the thick

(08:21):
of it doing some damage, We'll see what happens going
forward there. Now, I want to bring up not a
rookie here, but a guy who has had the best
season of his career so far, and that's Quenton Johnston.
He's questionable for the Chargers game against the Jaguars this week.
Limited practice Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. He's got a shin issue,

(08:45):
and obviously it looks like he's more likely to suit
up than not. At this point, he is going to
be playing on a team that features a healthy lad McConkey, granted,
a fading Keenan Allen. More on him coming up later
on in the show, but then this resurgent not resurgent,
but this ascendant Arondez Gadston on this offense. Farrell, if

(09:08):
you have Quinton Johnston, I think you should be playing
him this weekend. Despite you know, with the shin injury
and all, I still do like them. The Jaguars have
struggled against perimeter receivers. I have a sneaking suspicion that
this is going to be a Johnston week and I'm
putting them in my lineups.

Speaker 2 (09:23):
Okay, Balky, and I can understand why you would do that.
What how many teams do we have? Oh by this weekend.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
Too, we have the Colts and the Saints. That's it.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
There's only two teams on buy this weekend, and both
of those teams don't naturally. I don't know how we're
going to have an NFL week without Pittman, but maybe
he can recover from his poor, sub par performance last week.
But it's going to be close. You're going to I
think owners of our FFPC teams are KFFSC. Teams that

(09:55):
are near the top may have better choices, more obvious choices,
choices that they a clearer indication of what those receivers
might do. That's just my feeling on Johnson. I'll put
a lot of receivers in front of him, but I'm
not hesitant to starting if I've got some buy issues
and some injury issues.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Would you play Quinton Johnston over Parker Washington this week?

Speaker 2 (10:19):
Yes? Yes, Okay, I don't even know who Parker Washington is.
I do, but well, you know.

Speaker 1 (10:27):
And yes, definitely Quinton Johnston. Would you play him over
Tes Johnson against the Buccaneers against the Bills, Begger.

Speaker 2 (10:36):
I probably wouldn't. I like what Tess Johnson is doing.
Now I have to take a look at who's coming
back and who's available from Tampa, and I have to
eyeball that. But I really like what Test Johnson is
doing on the field, and Tess Johnson is one hundred
percent healthy. You know, I would play Johnson in front
of Adam Thielen. You know, I was a big believer
in theland having success this year in Minnesota. Nine passes,

(10:59):
Buck He's called nine passes?

Speaker 1 (11:01):
Yes, would you? And I feel like I probably shouldn't
be asking you this. Would you play Quinton Johnston over
Trey Tucker this week? Tucker on Monday Night Football in Dallas.
I beg your pardon in Las Vegas against.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
Dallas, well, anytime anyone's in Las Vegas. I feel really
good for him. I like their chances, but it depends
on what It depends on what I need. If my
team needs a big home run, I'm going to remember
that Trey Tucker is on a team they've taken the
punt return job away from him. Jacoby Myers is out

(11:35):
of the building, and Trey Tucker has put up forty
five points in a game this year, and he's playing
the Dallas Cowboy. So I'm probably gonna play Trey Tucker
if I need to hit a home run. If I
don't need to hit a home run, I might want
to play Trey Tucker anyway, because I think I can
I can trust what he'll do over Johnston. So you're
higher on Johnston than I am. Yeah. The thing about
it is that Johnston has a wonderful quarterback. All he

(11:59):
has to do is show up, run the route, get open,
and catch the ball because the quarterbacks going to put
the ball on him. You can't necessarily say that that
might be happening in Las Vegas.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
You know that is a spicy matchup on Monday Night Football.
The Raiders are three and a half point dogs and
it is a total of forty nine.

Speaker 4 (12:16):
And a half.

Speaker 1 (12:16):
Could be a big Tray Tucker.

Speaker 2 (12:17):
Yeah, it's a great fantasy football Monday night game. I
don't know that would be in a great game, but
it's a great Monday night football fantasy Yeah.

Speaker 1 (12:26):
Tom Smith chiming in, Ashton Genty, Rico doubt, Old Devin
Devon a Chan should all have big games this week.
He's probably right on that too. I think Gent's gonna
usually is.

Speaker 2 (12:36):
Oh, Tom's usually right.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
He's usually right. Genty's gonna run wild on the Dallas
Cowboys on Monday Night football. Would be good to see it,
would Dalton Kincaid. We will not see him this week, Farrell,
because he's been ruled out for the Buccaneers game on Sunday.
Joe Biscaglia posting this on X earlier today, beg your
pardon earlier yesterday. Sean McDermott sided ruled out Dalton Kincaid

(13:01):
yesterday despite him not having the opportunity to play in
Friday's practice. Did not practice Wednesday, did not practice Thursday,
seemingly always viewed as a long shot to be playing
in Week eleven. Now here's what's interesting in the FFPC
tight end premium. Obviously, Dawson Knox is going to start
against the Buccaneers. You also have Jackson Hawes, the rookie

(13:22):
who caught a touchdown last week. I get it that
there's only two teams on buy. You shouldn't be this desperate,
but with you know Kincaid not being there, maybe you
are that desperate. Knox has caught twelve passes for one
hundred and fifty five yards. He's gotten in the end
zone once this season, but he's never gotten more than
thirty seven yards in any single game. Baryl Am I

(13:45):
digging down the wrong hole to find fantasy value from
Dawson Knox this week, even against Tampa in a game
where we know Kincaid is not going to be playing,
and the Bills still really do not have a number
one receiver.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
No they don't. It becomes very difficult to trust any
of the Bills receivers when you run them out there.
Coleman came to life with a touchdown pass last week.
Stakir the modest twelve points. Sometimes he seems to score
more when I blame him and less when I don't,
which means I'm hitting him at the lucky times. Okay,

(14:21):
Knox is a capable backup tight him positioned to be
a starter. You could do worse. Think twelve fifteen points
as your top. He'll score for you, But twelve fifteen
points as your top, and that's probably if if you're
stretching to get in those FFPC playoffs, that's probably not

(14:42):
what you want.

Speaker 1 (14:44):
I would be thrilled if I got twelve points out
of Dawson Knox this week and could, and hopefully it
doesn't come to that for anybody who is like I
had to check my laps. You know we should mention
this too, Farrell, as long as we're talking about tight
ends that are are not going to be playing this week.
We found out earlier today that the Lions have also

(15:06):
ruled out Sam Laportah not going to be playing against
the Eagles in Week eleven. Was never able to practice
at all this week. Brock Right, the backup tight end
for the Lions, listed as questionable. He got in a
limited practice Thursday and limited practice on Friday. This is
good news for a monros Saint Brown, Jamison Williams, and
Jamier Gibbs However, horrible news. If you have Laporta, hopefully

(15:29):
you have a good backup tight end, because this I
don't want to say came out of nowhere, but it did.
It did surprise me a little bit. Maybe it shouldn't
have fair run to the way veru are and pick
up Dawson Knox. Dawson Knox. I think if if you
had Laporta and you've been rolling with one tight end
all season, then yes, knocks in that case player that

(15:50):
you want to grab.

Speaker 2 (15:52):
Yeah, Dawson, you said twelve, I said twelve to fifteen points.
Since six catches forty yards and in that kind of
control offense, that could.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
Have one more tight end topic I want to get
to before we bring on the ninth place team owner
in the FFPC main event, Vinnie Bonta. Brenton Strange limited
in practice on Thursday. Farrell, this is a guy who's
seemingly been out since I think September.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
I want to say he's been limited in the games too,
not only practice.

Speaker 4 (16:20):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (16:20):
Now, the latest we got on him this afternoon is
that he is not playing against the Chargers this week.
Did not practice at all on Friday, so he's in
this twenty one day window. There was no urgency for
the Jaguars to activate him this week. I don't think
you want to play Johnny mont who is going to
be starting at tight end for the Jaguars, but he's

(16:41):
a possibility for week twelve. And I wonder what the
landscape's going to look like. Brian Thomas questionable for this
weekend's game against the Chargers. I wonder what the landscape
is going to be like when Strange does come back
and he's competing with Jacoby Myers and Brian Thomas won't
be competing with Travis Hunter anymore. But Strange when he
got was the leading pass catcher, the leading the most

(17:02):
yards receiving yards of anybody on the team. He misses
all this time. I just don't know. It's a head
scratch and Strange when he does come back, hopefully in
week twelve.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
Yeah, you seem to be cashing in a lot on
this Breton Strange. You got a personal interest going on here.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Yeah, I have him. It was funny because there was
a lot of teams. I shouldn't say a lot. There
is a few teams I drafted. Farrell, George Kittle and
Brenton Strange were my one and two tight ends did
not draft the third one, and it was rough on
those teams when both those guys were on IR at
the same time. I picked him back up in a
couple other leagues where people dropped him. I don't know.

(17:41):
I think there might be something there. I don't know
if in a non tightened premium league, if I'm gonna
use him at all. But he is a former second
round pick, pedigreed guy out of Penn State, So I
do believe in him. It's just a matter of him
getting back on the field.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Well, okay, I believe. I believe in the believers, and
I think it's a wonderful thing the Britain. Strange people
would want to put him on the field. I, on
the other hand, as previously mentioned in shows throughout the year,
I take I take twenty twenty five off with the Jags.
It took the whole year off, and I I his, yeah,

(18:18):
this is this is.

Speaker 1 (18:21):
You know.

Speaker 2 (18:21):
I would I would start Laporta and pray for a
miracle healing.

Speaker 1 (18:27):
Well, we're gonna we don't have to pray for a
miracle to have a great guest tonight.

Speaker 2 (18:31):
Because we got we do, we got He's.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Coming aboard right now. He's got two high stakes Fantasy
football titles with the FFPC already under his belt, but
he's got his sight set on much bigger things in
twenty twenty five. As going into week eleven, he sits
at ninth place overall in the FFPC Main Event, a
competition that will feature a one million dollar grand prize

(18:55):
to the winner. Will this guy be the winner? Potentially?
We're going to talk with him about that to night.
Please welcome onto the program, mister Vinnie Bonta, Vinnie, welcome,
good evening, sir.

Speaker 5 (19:07):
Oh no, I'm trying to unmute him right now, he's
getting this gets some voice with Vinnie, go on, we got.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
You all right, Hey, sorry about that. I'm trying to
work while being with you guys. Appreciate you guys having
me on.

Speaker 6 (19:23):
Nice to meet you too, Absolutely good meeting you, Vinnie.
This is so much fun to have you on tonight. Dude,
ninth place overall in the main event. This has got
to be electric, you know, wee can. I mean, because
you've been up there for several weeks now in the
top ten.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
Got to be electric. Looking up at that leaderboard at
the end every week and seeing your team right up
at the top.

Speaker 4 (19:42):
Yeah, Eric, it was a lot more fun when Cam
Scattabo and Hunter was still alive from my team. So
as we're a little bit less, a little less fun
than it was two weeks ago. For the dream of
a million that probably is less likely now.

Speaker 1 (19:55):
But isn't it your team is that you're still in
the top ten without Scataboo, without Hunter.

Speaker 4 (20:02):
Well, Eric, not to get a little too behind the scenes,
but one of your questions roasting my roster management, which
is very fair, was because someone in my league dropped
Aaron Jones, which then led to my entire way for
wire budget being thrown on him. So that also helps
to be added Aaron Jones middle of the season.

Speaker 2 (20:24):
So I'm surprised Aaron Jones was even available. Yeah, he was.
He would have been right on the line as a
guy that would have been available to be dropped.

Speaker 4 (20:34):
There's the reason I have two dollars left you.

Speaker 1 (20:37):
That was my next question is how much money you
have left? But yet at least you got Aaron Jones
and it's looking like his backfield right now too, which
is very nice. For sure, We're going to continue the
fantasy football conversation in a little bit. When you're not
winning f FPC leagues, when you're not hanging around the
top of the FC leaderboard, Vinnie, what are you doing
for a living, sir?

Speaker 4 (20:55):
Yeah, I'm a professional sports better. I've been in the
gambling industry for or for actually six years now, been professional.
So that started with poker for me, then led to
advantage casino games, whether that's slot machines or some table games,
and then to sports. So I got my masters in
counseling in two thousand and felt nineteen and then went

(21:17):
full fledged the opposite direction of professional gamblers. So a little,
a little, a little different.

Speaker 2 (21:22):
That's a different form of counseling.

Speaker 4 (21:25):
Yeah, a little bit, a little bit faral for sure.

Speaker 2 (21:27):
Sometimes it's self counseling that you might have to do.
Did you have Louisville tonight?

Speaker 4 (21:33):
I currently do not. I've been trying to find a
live position on them, but no, I'm not not on
either side.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
Oh man, well, good for you. When you when when
you start winning or get on a roll, do you
turn that rally cap around and been wear in the
front where always wear it in the back? Is this
the rally cap that you have on this week or.

Speaker 4 (21:57):
That's a great question, Feral. I think it's more if
it's on my head that means I'm either winning or
barely losing. It's when you lose a lot of the
hats on the ground. Yeah, I think it's much better indication. Yeah,
but yeah, I've been going Uh really, I would say
scaling for like a business standpoint with others having people
work for me and others for about the last three years.
So I will say in the U, I'm much more

(22:19):
into the best ball streets because of all of the
tools available, makes it from like a time ROI worth it.
Where these contests I'm a massive whale in. I mean
I'm probably losing in most of these fields, especially with
the week to week roster construction or the ideas in season,
I can't keep up nearly as much. So I would
say you want me uh in your league, says I

(22:41):
will make mistake all over the place.

Speaker 2 (22:43):
Sure, we want the guy that's in ninth place in
our league that let's try to sell hard bug. Okay,
here's something that this is one of my favorite receivers
in the league. Juwan Jenny is good this week at Arizona.
He gets his quarterback returning from the toe injury. Although

(23:06):
I thought he had some pretty good things going on
with Mac Jones. You could have got some long odds
on Mac Jones being festival this year, of course, and
Ricky pearsall comes back. So really, what I'm looking for
as a commentary, our great guest and great friend of
the FFPC the KFFFC, Steven Giergalis said early on why

(23:30):
all the talk about Jennings? He only had two or
three good games last year, and that's correct. What I've
seen from Jennings this year is a little bit more stability,
and he's one of those guys that sometimes pops up
with the forty five point game. How are you handling
this mix of players this weekend? Because I'm tempted to
leave Jennings in a couple of my lineups, but I

(23:53):
want to hear your thoughts on Jennings with all these
things happening.

Speaker 4 (23:59):
Yeah, far, I would say again, I would in air
in domains that I feel like I'm an expert, I
will comment and give a great opinion. This is what
I don't feel as strongly about. I think it's obviously
pretty roster dependent of more than anything, I mean I
think the biggest note of why Jennings was someone I
was very high on is just a third down success
rate that's pretty quantifiable and you can change year to year.

(24:21):
That's something that can be a pretty good litmus test
for success and stability outside of in other areas. So
I don't know, Like I think, the healthiness is one
that's really difficult for us to truly know. I would
say Jennings in the offense is going to be more
of a consistent person from little I would say, so,

(24:42):
I don't know. I mean, I would say completely where
you stand from a if you need upside, I like
Jennings for that standpoint, and it all depends on roster.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
Yeah, and you know you're right that third down I
think about that. He's such a big guy. He wins
the fifty to fifty ball, it would make sense that
he delivers for you on third.

Speaker 1 (25:00):
Thenny, I gotta ask you that the betting aspect, do
you think playing bestball, playing season long fantasy, does that
make you a sharper better? And then vice versa that
does the betting help you become a sharper fantasy football player?

Speaker 4 (25:13):
That's a good question, Eric, I would say, I would
say from a game three perspective, I actually I do
some live football, but really most my sports betting is
in other sectors, a lot of deriveda markets and then
also not as much from the player pop standpoint, player
props are really hard to get a lot of liquidity down.
Actually pretty relevant with all the illegal sports gambling props,

(25:37):
A lot of misconceptions are happening that aren't really accurate.
But in general I would say, like for me, the
reason I would say I'm smarter in that, Like I
don't know if you guys have seen the movie wrote
Josh dang It. They have a line that says in
any industry, you either need to be first to be
the best. Do you think be the smartest the first,
or you need to cheat. Those are the only three ways.

(25:59):
And for me what I would say in the sports
domain and invest ball, I just listen to people much
smarter than me. Eric, So like for me, I think
the ego goes down, which sucks because I feel like
a poor guest because for me, my fantasy football expert
comes to a lot of people who I listen to
and the tools that I use were much less than
myself and just being able to discern who I feel

(26:20):
is quite sharp opposed to who I think is kind
of just a sucker.

Speaker 1 (26:25):
The movie you are referring to stars Kevin Spacey, Call,
Jeremy Irons.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
Margin call came out from that.

Speaker 4 (26:36):
It's a great, great movie. But it's a great line,
and it is true in life. I mean, I think
we all want to act like we're the main characters
of the story and the smartest person in the room.
And I don't think that's the most important skill always
and could lead to losing quite a bit. Farrell.

Speaker 1 (26:49):
Oftentimes we talk movies after the show. I'm telling you
this cast Facey, Betley, Jeremy Iron, Zachary Quinto and badly
to me more Stanley Tucci. This is this is an
excellent space.

Speaker 2 (27:02):
He used to be able to get good jobs before
he was He used to be yeap he could. Well,
I tell you what, Bulk, there's a receiver that's going
to play at the Rams this weekend that just got
a new good job. What do you think about him?

Speaker 1 (27:19):
Well, here's the thing. Like we saw Rashid Shaheed get
involved in his first game as a member of the Seahawks,
like not heavily obviously but he knew the offense basically
because he played under a similar offense when Clint Kubiak
was the OC in New Orleans in twenty twenty four,
So it wasn't like that big of a transition. But

(27:41):
I will say seeing him utilized right away in the
first game has me kind of interested to see what's
gonna happen going forward. What do you expect, Vinnie, not
only this weekend when the Seahawks play the Rams and
what could be, you know, a deciding game in the
NFC West race, but maybe also to determine the number
one seed in the playoffs. What do you expect from

(28:02):
Shi this weekend? And then what do you think we're
going to get from him down the stretch here as
he gets more and more acclimated to his new teammates,
new coaching staff in Seattle.

Speaker 4 (28:10):
That's a good question, Eric, I mean, I think for
my roster construction specifically, I was really excited to have
him in that week fifteen to seventeen high leverage in
a sixteen seventeen where I neither need to gain on
the field not be a consistent starter for my lineup,
And I don't know, like you get the push pull right.
I mean, you're in a much more efficient offense, but
the targets will be down. I mean, he is not

(28:32):
going to take enough targets away from JSN, nor should
he that he would get in New Orleans, but the
quality of target should be much higher. So it's a
really difficult one where I think it is a net
neutral and it's going to really determine how you want
to play in those crucial week fifteen seventeen weeks. So

(28:55):
I think it's a net neutral for both reasons. And
I can see the arguments from both sides. Which is
the worst opinion you can give that.

Speaker 2 (29:03):
Oh, the warmest places in Hell are reserved for those
who are neutral, mister.

Speaker 4 (29:09):
I wish I want to. I want to lie through
my teeth like the like I know that's how you
get clicks. That's why I'm not on first take.

Speaker 7 (29:17):
Either Church here or Kevin Spacey said that Bunky, Well, yeah,
I don't know who it was, but I will say this,
like for for all the shows that I do like
I am, I'm also not like a heavy like oh
it's this way or that way.

Speaker 1 (29:30):
I'm not a polarizing guy. I recognize and you as
a pro sports better probably recognize the need to understand
range of outcomes because that's how everything is usually decided, right,
And so I don't like to be the guy that's
that's so heavily on one side or the other. Yeah,
I have leans, we all have scenes, but I'm not
I understand nothing surprises me anymore. And I'm forty five

(29:52):
years old. I've seen too many too much crazy stuff. Yes, yeah,
Like so I I know that, Like it's a fool's
errand to say like this is how it is, this
is how it's going to be, book it, ship it.
You know, that's not the way that that sports works.

Speaker 4 (30:05):
But Eric, I think you do bring up a really
good point. And I think one thing that's really exciting
about Shahied is for that stretch run, which is the
only thing that matters. Like, yes, it's really fun to
be in ninth place. It's really fun to be in
third place, But I'm funny for five thousand in that
sense where I think Shaheed is still an excellent bench
player and a really good leverage player to have during
those crucial weeks, which is what really matters. And I

(30:28):
just love having those types of players to be able
to put in when the money.

Speaker 2 (30:33):
Is all in right, He's the kind of guy that
if he had a breakout game, a huge week, you
could say I saw that coming.

Speaker 4 (30:42):
Yeah, of course I expected that from absolutely, absolutely fair.

Speaker 2 (30:46):
I when this player was in college, I looked dan him,
I said, holy smoke, the next Tyreek Hill. And then
he gets drafted by the Baltimore Ravens. I said, well,
he's going to contribute. Things are going to be different,
and it never has been. And I view I view
Flowers as as the kind of guy that will always

(31:16):
underperform in the numbers, but will always be expected from
fantasy players great expectations. This year, we're dealing with fifty catches,
which kind of puts him on par I said he
would end up seventy seventy five. This year, we're dealing
with one touchdown, Andrew's still getting most of the touchdowns
over there. What do you see from Flowers going forward?

Speaker 4 (31:38):
Ferrell? I would like that range of outcomes to start
hitting the tail ends of touchdowns because he is a
guy who I'm gonna, like you said, I'm gonna fall
in love with, and really what you're seeing from Jess
and I would love to be able to see im
a guy who can just win at every facet. I
would love to see the touchdowns obviously start going his

(31:59):
way a little bit more, the Lamar to come a
little bit more clean from an injury standpoint, and you know,
like maybe there is a sense of we won't see
Lamar pushing it from a run standpoint in the fifteen
sixteen seventeen, which hopefully is gonna be pretty beneficial for today.
But he's just the type of guy I'm gonna die
with all the time, Like a guy who gets open
a receiver gets open in fantasy football is just my

(32:20):
favorite type of guy and every format. So has he
been disappointing, Yeah, for sure, And I wish I had
a lot more and a lot of people much smarter
than me have told me to keep betting on ze Flowers,
so I'm gonna keep losing money doing it until hopefully
I eventually win. But I had a very similar feeling
to you, Ferrell, and I really do think there's still
a lot of upside and I think the Vallum can

(32:41):
easily be there for him.

Speaker 2 (32:42):
He was a fifth round draft, big bulky by the
time we got to the Paris and Planet Hollywood in
all the area in Vegas. More director, is that about right?

Speaker 1 (32:52):
Yeah, I'm gonna look that up. It strikes it. It
does not strike me as that, But the more I think,
I think you're right.

Speaker 4 (32:58):
I got him in the six seven turn at my
but I think that that draft was I believe the
last like week before, because I only really fired the
f FPC Maine. It's kind of interesting my mom. I
got her into fantasy football for the first time. We
did a main event team. She bought a little bit
just to get her some excitement, and then I'm like, oh, wait,
every entry after this is sixteen hundred dollars, So I'm like,

(33:19):
you got you. Guys got me awesome Because of that,
I got more teams in that I initially would have
done in general. But yeah, he was I think I
got in like the seven to one in general, but
that was pretty late.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
From yeah, six oh four was his ADP finality. It
was right after Piersoll and Waddle, right before Pickens, Travis Hunter,
and Roxby Rice. So that's where Ze Flowers was going.
I want to uh to bring up tight ends here,
and I'm going to phrase this in a very polite
way because I don't I don't. I don't know. There's

(33:55):
a lot of explanations for a lot of stuff. Now,
currently in your week eleven lineup, I noticed Dallas Goddard
and your starting lineup, I noticed Deronde Gadston. Your starting
lineup makes perfect sense for both those guys to be
in there.

Speaker 4 (34:07):
Just stop.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
Okay, all right.

Speaker 1 (34:12):
So everybody's like, okay, well, what are we getting at here? Well,
what I'm getting at here is you also roster two
other tight ends on this team, Taysom Hill and John
new Smith. Now I know of a few reasons you
might want to keep these guys around, but I want
to know if Vinnie Bonta is keeping these guys on
his roster. Right now, you have Godard Gadsden. Why are

(34:34):
Hill and Smith's still important to this roster?

Speaker 4 (34:37):
Uh? The question is are they? Uh? So I had
I had a next luxury of having a running back
room of Taylor, Jacob Scattabo Aaron Jones, and my running
back room is safe. The biggest issue of my team
was the early season got her Pick where he showed
some early injury concerns. The past game for Philly was questionable,
so I really wanted to shore up that tight end room,

(35:00):
all my other rooms felt pretty confident, and then Gatson
blew up, who was a big guy just from his
college stuff, that I had a ton of best ball,
just really like I've been meant, I think three of
my five main event teams. But the issue was when
I would start. And then I wanted Hill just because
I thought the Saints total volume of plays were gonna
be much higher. I was buying the coach speak of

(35:21):
the running gun offense and thought Hill is like another
type of guy I really like to have from a
really low ownership perspective, who can have those two touchdown
games that seem quite good. But then Godard really was
a focal part of the offense Gatson did, so then
I'm like, cool, I have my tight ends. But then
you lose Travis Hunter, then you lose Kim Scattabo, so

(35:42):
you drop those guys ahead of them. Then you put
all your waiver wire budget into Aaron Jones and you
have three dollars. So the issue not from a standpoint
of me really in on these guys, now.

Speaker 8 (35:54):
Prioritized Aaron Jones and now I've guys on they so
they are wats me most.

Speaker 1 (36:01):
The two dollars you're keeping around for like like a
kicker or something like that just in case.

Speaker 4 (36:06):
Yeah, I have the right now at Piniero, who is
a Week fourteen buy. So is still from like a
money made standpoint, I believe that having to get that
kicker for the Week fourteen championship would be probably enough
money to overcome opposed to the other players I've seen.
If I can find someone I that might differ, but yeah,
that would happen. And then in the rare case of

(36:28):
if a Jalen hurts, it's hurt, I pick up a
second quarterback to go through the playoff run. So all
that just seems a lot more important to me. It's
I mean, I agree with you, Eric, I wish I
didn't have Taysom Hill and Johnny Smith also on the roster.
I wish I had Travis Hunter and camp Scattaba still
but sadly, but here's here's the thing.

Speaker 1 (36:46):
Like the opportunity cost for that was getting Aaron Jones
on your roster, which much more important, true, very fruitful. Curiously,
what did you pay for him that you want them?

Speaker 4 (36:56):
It was in the six hundreds, I believe, Yeah, I mean,
I mean, I a guy like that's just way too
important as.

Speaker 2 (37:03):
A can't can what would have got it? What was.

Speaker 4 (37:07):
My league was?

Speaker 2 (37:08):
So?

Speaker 4 (37:08):
They were so bad? I mean I think it was
like the three hundreds. I mean it was embarrassing, but like,
you gonna have.

Speaker 2 (37:15):
Three hundred and two dollars right now, but you have
known that there's no way you could have know he's
a numbers expert.

Speaker 9 (37:22):
Well there, I wish. I wish I that camp around
and make those bids correctly. It's a probability thing. It's
a range of well comes thing. I don't fault then
I don't fault you at all for that.

Speaker 4 (37:34):
Yeah, so but anyway, but yeah, we'll see. I mean, yeah,
they're dead roster spots that I wish it didn't have.
But I'm happy with the way it played out. Outside
of the decision process, I wish i'd maybe say, like
a three or four extra dollars. But again, I'm bad,
like the waiver wire stuff. I am bad at I'm
going to make terrible decisions. I'm gonna make horrible lineup decisions.

(37:54):
I do it every week. I do it. Then I
do it at nine to fifty five PM like lineups
A twelve fifty five. It's just not my main priority.
So I'm gonna make mistakes, which sucks. But well, I
got news for Vinie. And you probably already know this.

Speaker 1 (38:07):
There's a lot of people that put in a lot
more work than you do as far as managing these
rosters and putting bids in, and they still make a
lot of mistakes.

Speaker 4 (38:14):
Of course, it's fantasy football to That's why we do it.
That's why you can gamble a little bit. You know,
even if it's slightly minus CV, I get the tax right,
I get the minus whatever thouls at the end of
the year to put into the taxes.

Speaker 2 (38:25):
I love that. I love that, you know, I find
fantasy football players are very, very generous.

Speaker 4 (38:30):
You know.

Speaker 2 (38:31):
Guys are always offering to buy me drinks or dinner
when we're in Las Vegas.

Speaker 1 (38:35):
Guys because you're a nice guy.

Speaker 4 (38:36):
Well yeah, but you.

Speaker 2 (38:37):
Know, when we need to have an extra owner for
a team, you know, somebody steps up and says, I,
well I'll take that team, Parah, don't worry, we'll finish it.
But when it comes to bidding, fantasy football players are
very cheap. They don't want to spend money. They would
rather get to Week fourteen with extra dollars in their

(38:58):
pocket that they can't use. Remember that, Ben, That's that's
the only advice I was to give you. I want
to talk about tidy ends to Baulky. Yeah, I want
to go to Cleveland where Vinny. We got a guy
down here who's also from Ohio, John Anderson. John Anderson. Uh,
It's all he could talk about is a bowling green
Falcon product. That's all you wanted to talk about was Fanning.

(39:22):
And I look at some of the stats. You know,
Fanning was available late and I think he got up
to early double digits. He was a bargain wherever I
could get him, and occasionally you could get him on
the waiver wire this year. Forty two catches for Fanning
so far this season, uh, fifty for Warren. You had

(39:43):
to pay a lot to get Warren. And Warren's sitting
in an offense where everything's working. Fanning is a Cleveland Brown.
What do you what do you do when you have
Cleveland Brown's, when you have Fanning and you having Djoku,
who's caught much less, maybe thirty catches this year? What
do you do with those two players? And I would

(40:07):
there's to me, there's no conversation Fannin is the start.
Uh you feel the same one.

Speaker 4 (40:15):
Yeah, I mean one of the fanning is I think
my highest after player in all the best ball he
I have him on some of my main I think
three of my five main event teams. He was one
of my guys. I loved the advanced stuff was great,
like you mentioned, the Boie Green production was awesome. And
I think he's just the biggest vocal point in the offense.
He gets goal line carries. I mean there are times
he will get stuff around the ends and that is massive,

(40:37):
now as massive a FFPC is in a FanDuel or
other contests for example. But he is the focal point
in the offense.

Speaker 6 (40:45):
Now.

Speaker 4 (40:45):
The biggest bummer is I think a lot of us
read some coach speaking believed that a joke would be
getting traded. So the trade deadline was a massive bummer
for a lot of us UH fan and truthers who
really were excited for that. But yeah, I mean, I
think he gets overall a bummer that Fannin's upside is
going to be in twenty twenty six, twenty twenty seven,
and that really limits his ceiling. If you put who

(41:08):
I think, if you run through a sim who's gonna
project better. It's gonna be fanning from total targets. But
I think both are fine. You're not. They're not the
upsides that both talents could be with their.

Speaker 2 (41:20):
Skills, you know.

Speaker 1 (41:24):
I think that a lot of people, and definitely myself
included on this, The majority of my roster now for
a lot of my leagues, is not going to be
super long on wide receivers. It's it's it's gonna be
long on backup running backs because if one of these
starting running backs goes down, you get a maybe a

(41:45):
one or two week window with the backup that could
be what propels you up the leader boards and into
the huge money. One of the situations I'm watching is
Baltimore because Derrick Henry, while he is an alien and retired,
and and I do recognize that he is an aging
thirty year old running back, and I recognize the possibility

(42:09):
that there's a chance he could go down if he does.
Who do you think you should be rostering on on
your FFPC teams? Is it Justice Hill or is it
Keaton Mitchell? In the event of a Derek Henry injury,
who's the biggest beneficiary there in the backfield in Baltimore.

Speaker 4 (42:27):
Man, do you guys have the log into my best
ball Explorer page and all my favorite guys. I mean, man, Eric,
we need to talk. We need to chance some passwords
of mine. Uh yeah, I mean, so I'm coming into this.

Speaker 2 (42:39):
I was.

Speaker 4 (42:40):
I think Keith Mitchell is my number one drafted running
back as well, which is quite funny.

Speaker 8 (42:43):
So I'm I mean again, when you're winning these conteststween
seventeen and again I behind in terms of the goals
that would happen. I don't the reason why the majority
of the outside down Mitchell.

Speaker 4 (43:00):
I think outside is quite high for a like we
that you're looking for. Week now, I could be very well.
I thought either roll will be treated.

Speaker 8 (43:13):
Uh quite bad in opinion, But again with Derek and Good,
I was really peorn from injury.

Speaker 4 (43:20):
I lean Mitchell, I can easily be wrong.

Speaker 8 (43:25):
I think you want always going to be more likely
to put in those uh and.

Speaker 4 (43:33):
Tech.

Speaker 8 (43:35):
I believe I would say Mitchell like the big and
so I could also be I think Mitchell.

Speaker 2 (43:44):
Literally Okay, now, Vinning, one of the first rules of
broadcasting is just lean in and stay over that mic,
because we want to hear these these fine words that
you're you're laying honestly, he's goods.

Speaker 4 (43:57):
In Yeah, yeah, I have, and so I'm sorry, I can.
I'm sorry. If they're not catching everything.

Speaker 2 (44:05):
They're you know, they're they're they're a little bit like
Josh Down's they're not catching everything.

Speaker 1 (44:15):
Before Farrell, before you get it, I know you want
to ask another running back question. I Racy on YouTube
just pointing out that Justice Hill is out this week
and he has been pautiful this week, but he's out
despite being a limited participant in practice. He's got a
toe issue. And apparently Keaton Mitchell, who is battling a

(44:36):
knee issue, not even on the final injury report. So
it's very good that that Mitchell is the right guy there.
To your point, Vinnie Farrell, I'm sorry for interrupting.

Speaker 2 (44:44):
Go ahead. You did not interrupt, sir. You came in
with very important information. I was impressed by it and
I want.

Speaker 4 (44:52):
To give you.

Speaker 2 (44:54):
You know, you're talking about those late round running backs
bulky for next year. I was on those late roild
running backs this year. Any success that I may have
probably oh to the Woody Marx was one of them,
and God bless Woody Marks. I haven't always played him
at the right time, but I sure think I'm going
to play him this weekend against the Tennessee Titans. One
hundred and forty yards twenty seventh in rushing defense one

(45:17):
hundred and forty plus yards. The Titans give up on
the ground every single game. I'm thrilled to have this
player in the lineup and I really don't think of
a lot of players that I would flex over him.
How much Woody Marks you got? And do you feel
is engaged with this Texan running back as I do?

Speaker 4 (45:38):
Yeah, I like Woody Marks a lot. Am I I
have another first place team in the main event, in
a main event, and it's a zero running back looks
a lot different than the team we've talked about, and
wood He's it's what. It's a Woody Aaron Jones backfield.
And I don't like. I think the upside of that
team's pretty low. But I don't feel like I'm missing
because of Woody. I think the pass catching role and
I think we saw a pretty big delineation last week

(46:02):
of a role that Nick Chubb could have had that
he didn't. And yes, it was a very pro Woody
script of getting behind quite early, but even before that
he was getting a lot more work. And it's one
of those things with these rookies that's so excited. When
the toothpastes out of the tube, going back feels pretty bad.
It feels really the pressure oftentimes. We talked about these

(46:24):
NFL coaches that they might make suboptimal decisions often comes
from the perception of their fans and their management. Really
hard to want to then go back to Nickchubb. After
what we've seen from Woody so far, I think you're
a spot on of having Woody for a lot going
forward seems really good to me. I wish I had
a lot more than I do personally. I just wanted

(46:44):
nothing to do with the Texans backfield personally, and I
might might cost me some money down the road.

Speaker 1 (46:49):
Well, the thing that irritated me about it was I
could tell this guy was a pass catcher, you know,
coming out of college, and then they went ahead and
got Nick Chubb, and I'm like, God, I just totally
see the Texans wanting to klock play with a tough defense,
you know, Demiko Ryans putting his his stamp on that,
and and I didn't know if if if Marks was
ever going to have the opportunity to be that guy.

(47:12):
And there's and by the way, there was a lot
of people, a lot of smart people out there saying
that he wouldn't like He's just it's not in his
skill set to be a three down guy or or
even a one bee. And we're kind of seeing that
that maybe he is capable of that. He's gonna have
another opportunity to shine again this week. In week eleven,
I want to get to a few emails here as

(47:32):
long as we have some time with you, Vinnie. Roger
in Gardena, California rights which Packers receiver should I roster
the rest of the way, Matthew Golden or Jaden Reid?
Thank you for the email, Roger, Vinnie, how do you
feel about Golden versus Reid?

Speaker 4 (47:48):
Uh Man? Reid is a really hard subject in my
highest stakes leagues I'm in I have him on both
of them, and man does it suck. And I'm not
sure I haven't kept up to eight with you Reid
injury news. My assumption is it's gonna be pretty difficult
for him to be a major part of this offense.
So purely from what you expect to get, I still

(48:10):
think the first round rookie, even though he has been
quite disappointing from what I was hoping for. It just
seems like, I say, for Bett, if you had to
pick one of the two, if Reid were to be
seventy five percent of what he is, you choose Reid.
I mean, Reid is the guy you would want for
these types of late round weeks. But I mean, I
think it has got to be golden, right, am I
missing southing? Eric?

Speaker 1 (48:30):
The only thing I'll say about Reid, and I think
Rob Dimofski from ESPN posted this on X yesterday. Both
Marshaun Lloyd and Jaden Reid neither gosh yeah, neither one
of them have their practice windows opened up yet because
they're still both on injured reserve. However, this week and
they couldn't take video or photos or anything like this.

(48:52):
But this week he did report that both of these
guys were working up quite a sweat, working off to
the side. Yeah, the most, it's the most vigorous that
they've done anything in practice. Yes, as far as how
you know how long they've been out, so I would
imagine they're fairly close, but you know, you never know.
The thing is with Reid.

Speaker 2 (49:12):
I mean, with no.

Speaker 1 (49:12):
Tucker Craft and you know Christian Watson now battling a
knee and a hamstring thing, there is an opportunity for
Reid to get back. I think he yeah, for sure,
more that Craft role than Golden Wood. I think that's
like the Watson type guy. So and listen, the Packers
need answers on offense, and maybe Read could be one

(49:33):
of those answers.

Speaker 4 (49:34):
Yeah. And Eric, you bringing up a good point where
I think initially in the season when the injury first happened,
it was, Man, if the Packers are really playing as
well as they are, why rush this guy back, save
him for the playoffs, save him for a little bit later.
Doesn't look that way anymore, so, Man, I mean, I
think what you said is correct if, but again, this
is a difficult thing in projecting injuries as three guys
who are medical doctors and just trying to read the

(49:56):
little Twitter notes. You are absolutely correct if Reid is
a seventy five greater of what he is, It's not
even close Jayden Reid. From what we've seen form Matthew
gold And, nothing would support Matthew Golden And outside of
the people who love rookies.

Speaker 1 (50:09):
But the only reason I even bring Golden up in
the conversation is we've seen these rookie receivers the last
third of the season, the second half of the season,
especially these pedigree guys in the first round, we've seen
them take off. I don't know if that's gonna happen
with Golden this year, but I at least bring it
up as a possibility as again a range of outcomes.

Speaker 4 (50:26):
Of course, of course, crick, if I'm wrong, that's gonna
be wrong. Usually that also comes from an increase of
workload as well. Matthew Golden's one of a few guys
who's gotten it, like one of the better range of
outcome scenarios for him. He got the Jaden Reid injury,
Christian Watson was still hurt, like the beginning was supposed
to be that I feel like it's less likely for

(50:47):
me to see the rise from these guys who've got
a ton of work and for that to change during
the later part of the season opposed to more opportunity.
I guess when he got that already, but I'd be
way wrong. But yeah, I think Golden is a more
likely twenty twenty six and beyond potential.

Speaker 1 (51:03):
Totally a hundred percent. I'm with you on that for sure.
Dave and Dallas has the other email here for you tonight, Vinnie.
He says, what's up, Vinnie? How much of the backfield
touches is r J? Or is r J Harvey going
to get this weekend? With no JK. Dobbins good luck
the rest of the way. That's Dave in Dallas. So RJ.
Harvey the lead guy now in Denver, but he's still

(51:24):
dealing with Tyler Badet, Julia McLoughlin. God knows. Sean Payton
will probably being to Terrell Davis back at some point Orlando, Gary,
orlandis Gary, I would imagine would factor in this conversation.

Speaker 4 (51:37):
R J.

Speaker 1 (51:37):
Harvey, your thoughts on him? How many of those touches?
What percentage of the backfield touches do you think he's
going to get?

Speaker 4 (51:43):
Man, if we could predict what Sean Payton was going
to do, the three of us would not be doing
this podcast it came in Islands retired. I mean, it
would be maybe a lot easier man to do. But yeah,
I mean my guess is whatever we project, it's going
to be lower than that. For some reason. But I
have no idea. I've been looked at what his split.

(52:05):
I didn't. I didn't look at anything really from last week,
which should be a pretty strong indicator. I wish I
could give a better answer. I know nothing really from
last week about what it looked like. You guys have
much better insight than I do.

Speaker 2 (52:17):
I think the head coach will look down that bench
and all those other guys Balky just mentioned and Keith
Harvey on the field.

Speaker 4 (52:24):
I hope it's exactly great.

Speaker 1 (52:27):
I don't know, Ferrel, do you remember what well? I mean?
I guess it doesn't matter because Dobbins finished the game
last week. You know, despite the injury, he had eighteen
carries to RJ. Harvey's four. Dobbins had one catch. RJ
Harvey had two on three targets, so it was still
a lot of Dobbins. But I mean Tyler Beda had

(52:49):
one target, Like there was nothing else in that backfield
going on side Dobbins at Harvey.

Speaker 2 (52:53):
So who's Doins has been ruled out? Correct?

Speaker 4 (52:56):
He's out there for a while. Who's been getting the
third down work? Eric? Is it? Like? I still I
don't I would be shocked if Harvey is getting the
pass down work still I thought it was the McLoughlin,
but they will probably still the game majority of that,
So I still think there's like a Harvey still isn't
gonna get the work horse role that you would really
want from the potential upside of your wine from like

(53:17):
the fourth fifth round, rookie, I believe where at least
from what I've seen, I could be way wrong, but
I would be pretty surprised from that sense. We still
give you obviously very fantasy relevant and most likely a
pretty strong play in general. But if your roster doesn't
play our j Harvey, you're going to be in a
really yeah, it's for sure what you're probably you're now?

Speaker 2 (53:39):
Are you? Are you got any more emails?

Speaker 4 (53:42):
No?

Speaker 1 (53:43):
I get this is all you, my friend.

Speaker 2 (53:45):
I'll tell you what I love this expression of yours
way wrong. I'm going to claim that and use that.
But you are not allowed to be way wrong when
you get question at the end of the night, buddy,
could you have to give us a sleep? Can't be
anybody we've even talked about yet. It's gotta be something new.
Tom Smith sitting there out in San Diego waiting for

(54:06):
a sleeper from you, and then we gotta get we
essentially have to get from you. The guy that is
is everyone will start, but should be the bust. Who
is this week's who is this week's uh Denver quarterback? Nix? Who,
Who's Who's gonna Who's gonna really turn in a bust?

(54:26):
So these are the things that we must know from you,
mister Vinnie.

Speaker 4 (54:32):
I feel really, I feel really bad about this because
I was on the golf course today with a client
and was reading these questions and I did not get
to research this one. I got behind. So I feel
I do not have an answer, and I really.

Speaker 2 (54:47):
Want we want shooting from the hill. We love shooting
from the hill.

Speaker 4 (54:52):
I don't I don't know who plays each other. I mean,
I don't love an I don't know any of the
matchups or anything.

Speaker 2 (54:59):
Not playing East Carolina, the Bears of East Carolina.

Speaker 4 (55:05):
Man, I mean, get cold Comet with the backups you're
gonna be if they're gonna be like one hundred to zero,
Get cold Comet, get everyone.

Speaker 2 (55:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (55:12):
I mean, I think for the biggest thing, I think
Eric really touched on it, and I'm gonna switch the
conversation a little. These backup running backs these Marshawn Lloyd's,
even these Tyler Algiers who aren't gonna be available, They're
going to win people millions of dollars. They're gonna win
people hundreds of thousands of dollars. These are the guys
in your waiver wire you can still get. There's still

(55:32):
opportunities to change the course of your life if you
just click the right two dollars bid even potentially. So,
I think these thin wide receivers that we keep talking about,
we should really be Your receivers are set. You're not
gonna find the diamond and the rough receiver. You're just
not really going to These running backs are pretty crucial,

(55:52):
and I think in general, these running back rooms aren't
even close to being finalized for when it really matters.
It's the biggest takeaway. And I apologize to answering the
question really bad radio.

Speaker 2 (56:03):
Of course that's all right.

Speaker 1 (56:05):
But but what I can do, Vinnie is offer you
a redemption here because we got m l uc seventy
x on YouTube. Vinny, I think Taysom Hill has a
chance to start at quarterback this year. Sorry if I
already rediscussed just Scott here. We appreciate you just getting here,
better late than never. Obviously, Tyler Shook has taken over.
What are the chances that Kellen Moore would would give

(56:28):
Taysom Hert Taysom Hill a start or two at quarterback
this season?

Speaker 4 (56:32):
Vinnie, I wish one hundred, but zero zero, Yeah, I
mean there's the issue is with the Saints how they're
working through this season. They want to figure out what
they have, and there's no reason to not give reps
to Tyler Shock, even to Spencer Rattler, like this isn't
a man. This quarterback gets hurt. What are we going
to do now? They just go to Spencer Ratler and

(56:52):
keep seeing what they have. I do think Taysom still
has a role for this team. He has packages that
can lead to two outcomes that are fantasy relevant, but
his upside is going to be pretty low traditionally, and
he's sadly not going to get a certain quackerle which
he's never had. Really, So I wish, I wish, my man,

(57:12):
it'd be really fun to wake up to Week seventeen
and see a bottom line from Adam Schefter Taysom Hills
starting quarterback and I get to put him in my
tight end. That'd be the best, but I sadly do
not see that.

Speaker 2 (57:24):
Being the taste.

Speaker 1 (57:25):
I am one hundred percent with you on this for sure,
Ladies and gentleman. His name is Vinnie Bonta. He has
no idea who plays who this week, and he sits
in ninth place overall in the FFP. If there has
ever been a ringing endorsement of literally anybody can get
off the top ten and make some big cash. Now,
Vinnie's a smart guy and that there is no doubt

(57:48):
after our conversation tonight. But the fact of the matter is, like,
and you admitted all these mistakes you made, still in
the top ten, Cam Scatabo gets hurt, Travis Hunter gets hurt.
You're making mistakes the waiver wire, in the lineups, you
don't know who's playing who, ninth place over.

Speaker 2 (58:03):
On the main event.

Speaker 1 (58:03):
Kudos to you, sir, and kudos again. Uh, you are
remarkably intelligent when it comes to this, and uh maybe
not the greatest judge of talent as far as uh
deciding whose podcast to come on, but slumming it and
hanging out with us tonight on a Friday night. We're
gonna let you get back to sports betting.

Speaker 2 (58:24):
Tonight.

Speaker 1 (58:24):
Than so much for hopping on board, dude. Good luck
the rest of the way, and we'll definitely have you
back on if indeed you do cash that million bucks.

Speaker 4 (58:31):
Hey, thank you so much for having me, Pharrell. I
am seeing Clemson up one with a minute twenty left, so.

Speaker 2 (58:36):
Yeah, you know, never give up.

Speaker 4 (58:39):
Thank you so much, guys, there's an honors of privilege
and hope everything goes well for you guys.

Speaker 1 (58:44):
Absolutely, good luck the rest of the way. Vinnie, thank you,
thank you. We'll see us, Vinnie Bonta. Ladies, gentlemen. Nin
Vibe was here in the main event, Yes he was,
and he crushed it. A super smart guy, super awesome.
And we got and we got something to watch now
on our movie list with margin call now being at
Did you ever see.

Speaker 2 (59:01):
It, Farrell?

Speaker 1 (59:01):
Maybe yes, okay, so it's on my list.

Speaker 2 (59:04):
It's on my list. I'll watch it again. We'll watch it, okay.

Speaker 1 (59:08):
I want to get to some emails here, some more
emails that came in some starter said questions. Farrel Gary
in Crawfordville, Florida. Hey, guys, would you start Colston Loveland
or Luke Musgrave this week? So a tight end question, certainly,
not the greatest of tight end questions. Colston Loveland in Minnesota,

(59:29):
Luke Musgrave in New York to take on the Giants
in the meadowlands, Farrel, I am leaning despite col comment
being healthy. I'm leaning towards Loveland here.

Speaker 2 (59:38):
Oh, of course you are Balky, and I don't know
why other than you had to listen to too many
of those pros that won in Coaston Loveland back in
July and August. Don't do it, Balky. Musgrave is a
player that we've always loved. The tight end position is
important to Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers. Put
your packer on the field. Colston Loveland is twenty one

(01:00:00):
catches this year. Balky, you're not gonna gettywhere with that?
Go ahead and invest in Muskrade to scood Kid.

Speaker 1 (01:00:06):
You know, both of them are kind of like on
the uptick, right. But Musgrave is not sharing that tight
end position with anybody as talented as Cole Comet, so
I think there is something to be said for that
as well. But are the Packers gonna have to throw
the ball? I don't know. The Giants rush defense is
so bad it's just gonna be a big Josh Jacobs
game in my opinion, Moving on to the quarterback position,

(01:00:26):
who's next. We have Dan in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Do
I have to play Joe Flacco in favor of Baker
Mayfield in my Big Gorilla on Sunday? Thanks so much.
That is Dan in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. Joe Flacco taking
off the injury report. We're worried about the shoulder. He's
not on there anymore. He goes to Pittsburgh and remember

(01:00:46):
the last time these two teams played. I believe it
was a Thursday night game and they called it the
icy hot Ball right where Flacco and Rogers were. They
just both lit it up. It was insane Flacco this
week at Pittsburgh over Mayfield in Buffalo. I think I'm
actually gonna play Flacco here over Mayfield. Mayfield like, yes,

(01:01:08):
he's got a BUCA, but no Chris Godwin, obviously, no
Mike Evans. I just I know we like Tess Johnson,
but I wonder.

Speaker 2 (01:01:15):
Bill Love just up with with these?

Speaker 1 (01:01:18):
With these, you know, sort of non pedigreed receivers, whereas
Flacco has Higgins and Chase.

Speaker 2 (01:01:25):
You can't argue with the players around Flaco. Everyone knows
I'm not a big Baker Mayfield fan, but Baker Mayfield
seems to elevate his game to a level when he's
playing against certain blue budded pedigree quarterbacks. So I'm gonna
I'm gonna go ahead and say Baker Mayfield total toe

(01:01:47):
with Josh Allen, who's not been his best lately. But
I'm going to say that that I'm gonna give. I'm
gonna run Baker Mayfield out there and what I think
is a much more important game.

Speaker 1 (01:01:58):
The running back question we have this week, or at
least the running back question I've selected, comes to us
from Mike in Trenton, Michigan. Torn between Kareem Hunt and
Kenneth Walker for this week. What do you all think? Well,
thank you for the email number one. I will tell
you that Kareem Hunt is in Denver, not the greatest matchup,

(01:02:20):
sharing the backfield maybe a little bit with Brishard Smith.
We know Isaiah Pacheco got ruled out already, so I
don't have to worry about him. And then you have
Kenneth Walker, who after last week it sort of went
back to an even fifty to fifty split with him
and Charbonnay in that backfield, Walker goes to Los Angeles again,
not a great matchup there. I think I lean Kareem
Hunt here. I don't love either of these plays this week,

(01:02:44):
but I do trust the volume with Hunt a little
bit more than I trust the volume with Walker at
this point.

Speaker 2 (01:02:49):
If I had to make this decision between now and Sunday,
I would change it six or eight times, and then
I would think of Balky saying, if you think long,
you think wrong. And with these two players, Walker is
my sentimental favorite, Hunt is my touchdown dependent favorite. And
our emailer has really got himself into a rough situation

(01:03:12):
here with these two players.

Speaker 1 (01:03:13):
Yes, I mean like he didn't say. I mean like
maybe he's missing Jonathan Taylor or Alvin Kamara or somebody
like that. I have no idea, but but yeah, it's
it's not a great situation to be in. And this
this might come down to the coin flipping portion of
fantasy lineup setting on Sunday morning when it comes to
Hunt v. Walker. Jimmy Williams popping in right now on YouTube, Pharrell,

(01:03:34):
he wants to know your take on Michael Wilson. This
week with Marvin Harrison Junior recovering from that appendctomy. What
do you think about Michael Wilson for the Cardinals against
the Niners this week?

Speaker 2 (01:03:45):
Pharrell always liked him, always expected more. This might be
the opportunity we'll get Bennie back here. This could have
been his sleeper. I noticed Mike Wilson going off the
waiver wire to a lot of good players this week.
I didn't make any bids on him. Sure, Jimmy, I
I kind of go with this player as a player

(01:04:05):
I admire. I also like on this team Elijah Higgins
who seems to get three not fantasy relevant, but has
been relevant for this team. But I believe Wilson could
be the fantasy relevant player there. And I got to
give a shout out to Jimmy Williams. Uh. He started
our our good friend Fetch losing streak. Uh he beat

(01:04:27):
Fetch in a game in every fantasy listerer This is
not this is not helping anybody win anything. But anybody
that's been on the show who might think that, why
does this always happen to be Jimmy beat Fetch by
point seven oerd points. Fetch came back the next week
to score two hundred and one point, only to have
his opponent score two hundred and one point five zero. Unbelievable.

(01:04:50):
And Jimmy, Jimmy is responsible for getting that started.

Speaker 1 (01:04:55):
So Jimmy Jimmy is an enemy of the Fetch program.

Speaker 2 (01:04:58):
Yeah, I mean any program, not declaratively, So Jimmy not
any enemy to anyone. He's absolutely the loveliest guy that
you could ever you could ever meet. I think he's
gonna come over and play in the Super Bowl Super Sunday,
Sweet sixteen. Bulki guys, you should.

Speaker 1 (01:05:15):
Uh that that is the plant, that is the plan.
Tom Smith, also chiming in farrel, This is an important
question for you. Would you play Michael Wilson over Michael
Pittman this week? Even though Michael Pittman's on by you know,
is Pitman is strong enough player to accrue points on
the Colts by week.

Speaker 2 (01:05:33):
You know, Tom, I've got players on my roster that
I would rather put Pittman in and take a zero,
you know, just take it like a man.

Speaker 1 (01:05:43):
I want to get to one final receiver question here
for this evening, Chuck and Davenport, New York. How's it going, gentlemen?
Is this the week I bite the bullet and play
Troy Franklin instead of Keenan Allen have a great week eleven.
That's Chuck and Davenport, New York, Chuck thinking for the email.
So this is interesting, Carrol, because we have seen Troy

(01:06:03):
Franklin over the last few weeks really step up his game,
getting a lot of targets from bow Knicks. I want
to say, don't quote me on this. I think he
had like ten or eleven targets last week. Yeah, had four.
What kind of bullets is Chuck biting. It's like Keenan
Allen has been trending down, down, down, with the emergence

(01:06:24):
of Quinton Johnston, with the return of Lad McConkie, with
the ascendants of Arondez Gadsden. I don't think you're biting
much of a bullet here. I think what Bob Harris
from Football Guys always says, you divorced the name from
the numbers, and if you just look at the numbers,
this is a slam dunk Troy frank that Bob Harris
said that.

Speaker 2 (01:06:43):
Yeah, that's pretty impressive. Bob, you should coin that. That's
the best. That's that's the best expression I've heard since
Innocent Boston. That's really really good.

Speaker 1 (01:06:54):
So we are in agreement. It's Franklin and it's not close.

Speaker 2 (01:06:57):
Well, yeah, it's Franklin over a lot of guys. Just
so who else you got on there, Chuck? Because Franklin
I need to be playing in front of him too. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:07:05):
Yeah, hopefully we helped everybody out tonight. I know I
had a good time. I always have a good time
with Farrell Elliott. Farrell the KFFFC Commissioner, the definitive commissioner
of fantasy football. Check out the Kentucky Fantasy Football State
Championship KFFFC dot com and start registering for those big
Super Sunday drafts coming up on Super Bowl Sunday this February,

(01:07:27):
which is going to be a blast. I participated in
him before, hoping to be live this year in Louisville,
which is going to be fantastic, watching the Super Bowl
at Caesar Southern Indiana and drafting fantasy teams on the
same day. What more could you ask for? Ferrell? Enjoy
your weekend, my friend, and I will talk with you
again next week.

Speaker 2 (01:07:44):
Buckie. It always goes by too fast, but I'll see
you next Friday. You got it.

Speaker 1 (01:07:48):
That is Farrell Elliott hanging out with us here tonight
on the High Stakes Fantasy Football Hour. KFFFC dot com
is where to go for his Kentucky Fantasy Football State Championship.
I want to thank Farrell Elliott, of course Vinny hanging
out with us tonight, the FFPC, Rob Bryce, and of
course each and every one of you. We will be
back next Friday, ten pm Eastern Time. The fifteenth place

(01:08:08):
team owner in the Big Gorilla Tournament, Tommy D will
be joining us tonight. Tommy's got like two top one
hundred teams in the Big Gorilla, had a lot of
success in his FFPC career as well. Very excited to
have him on next week. In case you missed it
on Tuesday night, you can watch it or listen to
it on the road of his family of podcasts or

(01:08:29):
on the FFPC Social journy where you get podcasts. Really
on the road of his High Stakes Lowdown that I
hosted on Tuesday, we had eleventh place team owner in
the Big Gorilla Dave Chioto pop Board for really good
discussion on managing your teams at this point of the
season and how you can get your teams maximize your
chances at that million dollar grand prize. Next week speaking

(01:08:49):
of champions, ten pm Eastern Time on Tuesday night, the
thirteenth place team owners in the FFPC main event, Donnie
Andrews and Brady David will join me on the show.
And if you balky those names sound familiar, yes they
should because they were on this show four years ago
after they won the twenty twenty one FPC and the
five hundred thousand dollars that went along with it, and

(01:09:10):
now they're making a charge at a million bucks in
the main event this year. So that'll be next Tuesday
on the road of his High Stakes Lowdown, and case
you missed the FFPC Insider Access show last night Thursday
on the Better Sports Network or in the FFPC Socials,
you can watch it back there, listen to it anywhere
you get podcasts. I had on Rodobawler's Casey Kasem on
the show, which was a lot of fun every time
she joins. And then next Thursday night we will have

(01:09:33):
one Stacey Perez from Fantasy and Frames f FPC Pros
versus Joe's Player, longtime KFFFC and FFPC champion as well.
Very excited to chop it up with her for two
hours next Thursday night. FFPC Weekly Challenge is live right now,
no draft, no salary cap, just picked ten or twelve
players depended upon if you want to play with kickers
and defenses or not, and you can win up to

(01:09:55):
twenty five hundred dollars ten thirty and one hundred team contest.
Only one player per team. So you want Joe Flacco,
you can't have Jamar Chase. If you want Keenan Allen,
you can't have lad McConkie. My FFPC dot com is
where to go for that ny f FPC dot com.
Remember to like this video, subscribe to the channel, comment
on the video, share with your friends, share with your enemies,
and get notified each and every time we go live.

(01:10:17):
Winker says good night, and I can tell you that
your weekend officially starts now.

Speaker 3 (01:10:31):
This has been another episode of the Hot Stakes Fatasley
Football Hour, presented by my f FPC dot Com. It
was broadcast live and was watched around the world. Balky
and Farrell will be back next week with more analysis,
more interviews, add more advice from guests much smarter than
they are. Thanks for watching, and we'll talk with you

(01:10:52):
again next week.

Speaker 1 (01:10:53):
Can one final note before I signed off, I don't
think I brought this up on the entire show tonight.
We have a nine thirty am Eastern Time kickoff between
the Commanders and Dolphins from Madrid, Spain on Sunday, so
make sure you are getting your lineup so the FFPC
submitted either Saturday night or early Sunday morning. And that

(01:11:14):
Sunday morning waiver wire run that we have that goes
off the board at ten am Sunday morning, those Commanders
and Dolphins will not be eligible for that, So keep
that in mind as you get set to enjoy Week
eleven and make your FFPC Fantasy Football Playoff push. Thanks
for watching, everybody, talk with you again next week

Ruthie's Table 4

Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant.
