Welcome everyone to Episode 26 of The Higher Calling podcast presented by the Avondale Church of God! During the last couple of episodes we have been talking about an objective reality that we don’t always see due to illusions, or non-real things that we perceive, which can turn into delusions which are non-real things that we believe. It is not possible to believe the lie, and also believe the truth at the same time, so typically the delusions cause the believer to become an unbeliever. The bible teaches us that to prevent unbelief we need to see and know truth and the knowledge of truth comes from preaching, and making sure that we are listening to the right voices. The last session explored the importance of the preached word and compared it to a nourishing and wholesome diet, and here we are looking into the idea of digesting the diet. Being willing to understand what we hear is critical to the spiritual health and well being of our soul.
